TAKATA RECALL-LEXUS OF BAKERSFIELD HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL-NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL GET THEIR REPLACEMENTS AND STILL INSISTED THAT WE NOT HAVE ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THEY OFFERED A RENTAL CAR BUT IT WOULDN'T BE A LEXUS. THIS IS TAKING WAY TOO LONG TO INCONVENIENCE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

"TAKATA RECALL" A RECALL LETTER WAS RECEIVED IN DECEMBER FROM LEXUS STATING THAT UNTIL A REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THAT'S REALLY INCONVENIENT AND NOW I'M THINKING, SHOULD I, THE DRIVER, BE UP HERE AS WELL? IS MY SEAT SAFE? IT'S NOW ALMOST APRIL '17 AND STILL THERE IS NO UPDATE FROM ANYONE.
(UNDATED) TAKATA RECALL; NHTSA NO. 16V-340 RECEIVED FROM LEXUS SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. UPON INQUIRY, WAS TOLD FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG SHOULD BE REPLACED "IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2017". SEVERAL OTHER INQUIRIES HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. MY CAR LIVES IN FLORIDA--HIGH HUMIDITY--AND IS OLD--2011.
I HAVE CALLED AND CONTACTED LEXUS MANY TIMES REGARDING THE PROBLEM WITH MY LEXUS CAR. I HAVE FOLLOWED UP AND DONE ALL THE REQUIRED FEEDBACK NEEDED IN ORDER FOR LEXUS TO ASSIST ME. I FEEL THAT CUSTOMERS DO NOT REALLY MATTER BECAUSE OF THE LENGTH OF TIME LEXUS IS TAKING TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE WHO DRIVE THE VEHICLES WHEN THERE MAY BE A SERIOUS MATTER. THE CAR MANUAL STATES ONE THING AND LEXUS DOES NOT EVEN ABIDE BY THE CAR ALERTS AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO CARE IF THE CUSTOMER IS SAFE OR NOT. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO 3 DIFFERENT CAR MAINTENANCE SHOPS REGARDING THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT AND I HAVE REPLACED MANY SENSORS AND THE LIGHT CONTINUE NOT TO GO OFF. THE BRAKES IN MY CAR TOTALLY WENT OUT AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. . I HAVE BEEN TOLD ALSO WHAT ABOUT THE AIR BAG. WHY DID LEXUS NOT CONTACT ME TO TAKE MY CAR IN FOR AIR BAG REPLACEMENT BECAUSE IT DID NOT DEPLOY IN THE ACCIDENT. THIS IS A LEXUS VEHICLE AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY LEXUS CANNOT GIVE AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT IS WRONG. I WONDER IF LEXUS IS WAITING ON ANOTHER TRAGEDY TO HAPPEN BEFORE INTERVENING. GOD PROTECT ME EVERYDAY BUT LEXUS HAS A BIG RESPONSIBILITY AND BECAUSE OF THE NAME SHOULD STEP UP TO THE PLATE.I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY LEXUS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CARLOS GARCIA WITH TOYOTO WHICH IN THE LETTER HE HAD STATEMENT THAT DID NOT EXIST AND I CALLED LEXUS AND SOMEONE STATED THEY DID NOT GIVE TOYOTO THAT INFORMATION. IN THE LETTER FROM TOYOTO, ONLY THE AIRBAG WAS ADDRESSED WHICH MY WHOLE CASE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAGS. I CALLED MR. GARCIA AND HE STATED THAT HE HAD ACCIDENTLY MISTAKEN ME WITH THE WRONG PERSON AND THAT HE WILL CALL ME THE NEXT DAY TO CLEAR THE MATTER UP.
MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON IN MY VEHICLE IN OCTOBER. THE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE SHOP AND 2 SENSOR LIGHTS WERE REPLACED. THE LIGHT STAYED OFF FOR A DAY AND CAME BACK ON. THE SHOP THAT REPLACED THE SENSOR SAID TO BRING IT BACK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG BECAUSE THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY SENSOR TO REPLACE. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME I PROCEEDED TO BACK INTO MY CARPORT AND WHEN I PROCEEDED TO GET ON BREAK TO PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE, THE BRAKE FAILED AND I HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT CAUSED A LOT OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR. THANK GOD I WAS NOT PHYSICAL HURT BUT MY CAR WAS. MY INSURANCE COMPANY WAS CONTACTED AND VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE AFTER PAYING MY DEDUCTIBLE, I WAS TOLD BY ABRA AUTO PARTS THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED ALL THE DAMAGES HOWEVER THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STILL WILL NOT GO OFF AND WE SHOULD FOLLOW UP WITH THE LEXUS DEALER BECAUSE THAT WAS A MATTER THAT CANNOT BE FIXED BY THEM. I CONTACTED THE LEXUS COMPANY MANY, MANY TIMES AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CLEAR EXPLANATION OF WHY THE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I HAVE LOOKED AT THE LEXUS MANUAL AND IT STATED THAT IF THAT LIGHT REMAIN ON, THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO A LEXUS DEALER TO INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE. ON NOVEMBER 21ST LEXUS SCHEDULED ME TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN TO THE TOYOTA DEALER TO INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION. I DID TAKE THE CAR IN AND TO THIS DATE LEXUS HAS NOT ANSWERED THE QUESTION WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS A DEFECT. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER BECAUSE THE LIGHTS ARE DESIGNED TO ALERT YOU WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG. LEXUS MAY NOT TAKE IT SERIOUS, BUT I DO BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW IF SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY GOING ON AND MY LIFE COULD BE IN DANGER. I ALSO RECEIVED A LETTER REGARDING THE AIR BAG FROM LEXUS. THEY ADVISED DO NOT LET ANYONE RIDE ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR UNTIL WE HEAR BACK FROM THEM. TO THIS DAY THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THAT SITUATION.

TAKATA RECALL. LN APRIL 2011 WE BOUGHT A 2011 LEXUS E350 FROM, POHANKA LEXUS IN CHANTILLY (13909 LEE JACKSON MEMORIAL HWY, CHANTILLY, VA 20151, POHANKALEXUSCHANTILLY.COM, (703) 968-9100). IN SEPTEMBER 2016 WE RECEIVED A E LETTER INFORMING US OF A DANGEROUS CONDITION REQUIRING A RECALL AND IMMEDIATE REPAIRS. THE CONDITION WAS THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG COULD EXPLODE DURING DEPLOYMENT AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. SINCE THEN, WE HAVE CALLED POHANKA LEXUS NUMEROUS TIME AND ALL WE GET IS THE CLASSIC RUNAROUND THAT THEY ARE "WORKING THE PROBLEM." THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. THEY SHOULD EITHER FIX THIS DANGEROUS CONDITION OR GIVE US A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE OF SIMILAR YEAR, MODEL AND CONDITION. THE DEALER HAS NOT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE.

WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHTS DO NOT CAST ENOUGH LIGHT IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT DRIVING IN DRY WEATHER AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE DRIVING IN THE RAIN. I FIND THAT I AM USING THE HIGH BEAMS MOSTLY FOR NIGHT DRIVING. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE NOT ONLY FOR ME, BUT CARS COMING TOWARD ME. COUNTRY ROADS & HIGHWAY.

TAKATA RECALL. EXCESSIVE DELAY IN REPAIRING INFLATORS. CAN'T SELL CAR WITHOUT RECALL BEING REPAIRED. CAN'T EVEN DRIVE MY WIFE IN THE FRONT SEAT.

TAKATA RECALL - FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR DEFECT PRODUCED BY TAKATA. MAJOR RECALL ON MOST LEXUS CARS AND HASN'T HEARD BACK FROM DEALERS/MANUFACTURER YET.
"TAKATA RECALL" I CONTACTED THE LOCAL DEALER AT 8:00 AM AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE ME WITH A LOANER VEHICLE FROM ENTERPRISE FOR UP TO 35.00 PER DAY. HOWEVER, THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS IN A MEETING AND WOULD CALL ME BACK AT 11:00 AM WITH THE PARTICULARS ON HOW TO GO ABOUT GETTING INTO THE VEHICLE. SINCE I DID NOT RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SERVICE MANAGER I CALLED BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND I WOULD NOT GET A LOANER CAR. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IF I HAD ANY OTHER CONCERNS TO CALL LEXUS CUSTOMER SERVICE . I CALLED LEXUS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPLAINED THAT IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE THAT I CANNOT USE MY PASSENGER FRONT SEAT WITHOUT THE RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH TO THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. I REGULARLY TRAVEL WITH 4-5 OTHER PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE. AGAIN, I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS NOT AT RISK BECAUSE OF THE AREA IN WHICH I RESIDE. THAT BEING THE CASE, I REQUESTED A HOLD HARMLESS LETTER FROM TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID HE WOULD SEND ME AN EMAIL WHICH HE DID BUT IT DID NOT ADDRESS MY SPECIFIC NEEDS OR CONCERN

TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL IN ROUGHLY AUGUST OF 2016. IT SAID THAT A PASSENGER SHOULD NOT SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY WIFE AND I ARE RETIRED AND ALWAYS DRIVE TOGETHER. THIS RECALL MADE OUR LEXUS UNDRIVEABLE FOR THE PAST YEAR AND 3 MONTHS. THERE HAS BEEN NO RECOMPENSATION BY LEXUS.
