I tool my car in for a recall, they said they could not fix the recall cux it was too rusted. They said the wouldn't even put it on a lift cuz of the rust, however it was just on a lift a week ago at an auto shop. Also when I dropped off my car the air conditioner blower worked, I go to pick it up and turn it on and nothing, I call and ask and they tell me they only touched the steering wheel, I said to him then why was power cux to my vehicle? You didn't disconnect the battery or anything he said no, however when I left the car with then it was on 9.83 fm radio and when I got it back it was on a 500 station from am radio. So I know power was cut somehow. I need to know what to do. I can't keep driving with my brakes like this.
The airbag sensor light is indicating a sensor needs replacement. I have replaced airbags on both the driver and passenger side due to recall. Diagnostics state it is the sensor, passenger side. I have attempted to have repaired, and after 5 weeks and 4 mechanics, no one can seem to get the new sensor to connect to the system and work properly. I did not have a vehicle for weeks! PLEASE HELP!

The contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph and making a turn, an unknown truck crashed head-on into the vehicle. There were no warning indicator lights illuminated. The vehicle was able to be driven after the crash. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to his tongue and neck but medical attention was not provided. There were no reported fire or air bag deployments. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted.The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V158000 ( Air bags) after the failure. The contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the brake caliper needing to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that unless the caliper was fixed, the recall repair would not be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure but provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
on May 17, 2021 I was involved in a wreck which the airbags did not deploy after impact. There is a police report and an insurance claim pending on the wreck.
ON APRIL 21, 2021 I TOOK MY CAR TO BOB THOMAS LINCOLN, 310 W COLISEUM BLVD, FORT WAYNE, INDIANA 46805 PHONE (260) 482-9876 INVOICE# 687347 FOR NHTSA SAFETY RECALL 19V-904 WHICH CALLS FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM TO BE PRESSURE FLUSHED WITH DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID, THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AS WHEN WE GOT THE CAR BACK THE BRAKE SYSTEM RESERVOIR WAS OVER FILLED AND THE BRAKE FLUID WAS VERY RUST COLORED WITH NUMEROUS BLACK PARTICLES SUSPENDED IN THE FLUID NOT THE CLEAR OR TRANSLUCENT FLUID THAT WOULD INDICATE THE FLUID HAD BEEN PRESSURE FLUSHED, I CALLED BOB THOMAS LINCOLN AND GOT THE BIG RUN AROUND.

I HAVE AN AIRBAG LIGHT THAT COMES ON IN THIS CAR, THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE EXTENDED COVERAGE FROM WHEN THEY REPLACED IT THE FIRST TIME UNDER WARRANTY FOR 1ST RECALL, DEALER TRYING TO SAY I MIGHT HAVE TO PAY TO DIAG IT BECAUSE IT COULD BE UNRELATED, BUT ALSO I JUST READ AN ARTICLE DATED 1/22/2021 STATING THERE IS ANOTHER AIRBAG RECALL FOR 2006 ZEPYHR BUT MY VIN ISNT SHOWING UP. THE CAR HAS 82,000 MILES ON IT. THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR SEEMS TO BE ACTING UP. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ON THE NET, IT APPEARS THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE 04 WITH FORDS. IN ADDITION, THEY ARE ON THE 3RD GENERATION SENSOR. I WAS DRIVING NORMAL SPEEDS, THEN THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON, KILLING THE POWER TO THE ENGINE, PUT ME IN A PRECARIOUS SITUATION ON A 45 50 MILE AN HR ROAD. SINCE THIS KNOWN ISSUE SINCE 04, SEEMS LIKE FORD SHOULD REPLACE THIS. IT'S A 20 DOLLAR PART, RETAIL, BUT WITH THIS MOTOR, YOU HAVE TO BUY A TOTALLY REBUILT THROTTLE BODY FOR 200+. IT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT CAN SLOW THE CAR RIGHT DOWN AS YOU ARE DRIVING. IF YOU SHUT THE MOTOR OFF, IT 'REPAIRS' ITSELF AND WORKS NORMALLY.
THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON ALL THE TIME. WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THE CAR IS GUTLESS NO POWER. UNTIL YOU HIT TRACTION CONTROL OFF. SOMETIMES DOES IT AFTER. BIT. SOMEONE ALMOST HIT ME PULLING OUT FROM THE GAS STATION LAST NIGHT AGAIN, DUE TO NO POWER! IT ALSO MESSES WITH THE SHIFTING DUE TO THE TRACTION CONTROL IVE PUT EVERYTHING INTO MY CAR. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT IT CAN MESS WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE THROWING OFF THE TIMING. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED, IVE SEEN MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE EXACT SAMETHING. THEN THERE'S THE BRAKES WHICH ARE NEW BUT YET THE PEDAL HAS TO BE PUSHED ALMOST TO THE FLOOR TO COME TO COMPLETE STOP.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V001000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 162,426.
THE CAR ACCELERATES AND LOSES SPEED ON SIDE STREET AND HIGHWAYS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF LOSS OF SPEED CONTROL.

CAR CONSTANTLY SPEEDS UP AND SLOWS DOWN DURING SHIFTING PROCESS. IT IS UNSAFE BECAUSE IT HAPPENS ON HIGHWAYS AND STREETS IT ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. I HAVE BEEN TERRIFIED TO EVEN DRIVE THIS CAR. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE CAR IS DRIVEN
FORD IS RECALLING MY VEHICLE UNDER 19S54. FORD KNOWS OF 15 CRASHES RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM BUT THE RECALL NOTICE SAYS THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. HOW CAN THE VEHICLE BE SAFE TO DRIVE IF FORD KNOWS OF 15 CRASHES RELATED TO THE ISSUE? FORD SHOULD SUPPLY A RENTAL CAR UNTIL THEY ARE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
THERE'S BEEN A RECALL ON THE VALVE THAT OPERATES THE BREAKS FORD SAYS IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND CAN'T GIVE ME AN ANSWER WHEN THESE PARTS WILL BE IN. NOW I SIT HERE WITH A CAR I CANNOT DRIVE.
THE PCM/ECM MODULE WENT OUT ON THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THERE WERE SEVERAL TSB'S ISSUED BY FORD REGARDING THIS ISSUE DATING BACK TO AT LEAST 2013 WITH ABSOLUTELY NO NOTIFICATION TO OWNERS WHOSE LIVES ARE AT RISK (SEE LIST BELOW). THIS MODULE IS THE MAIN COMPUTER, SO ALL POWER WAS LOST AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEGUN RAPIDLY FLASHING NON-STOP AND THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING AGGRESSIVELY ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DRIVING. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THE REPAIR IS ESTIMATED AT NEARLY $4000 BECAUSE ALL SPARKS PLUGS, ALL IGNITION COILS MUST BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. IN CAR ACCIDENT ON DEC 12, 2019. UPON IMPACT. SEVERE PAIN CAUSED FROM AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. MYSELF AND MY SON WHEN BOTH HIT IN THE FACE. MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY TOTALED DUE TO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT . MY CAR WAS TURNED A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID FULL BLOWN REAR IMPACT COMING UP OVER HILL. WAS ON A CITY STREET AND MY STEERING WHEEL WAS BROKEN IN HALF. I AM RECEIVING RECALL ON AIR BAGS 40 DAYS AFTER ACCIDENT OCCURRED. MY CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A RENTAL AT COST TO ME FOR ALMOST 6 WEEKS NOW.
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE WINDOWS OF OUR LINCOLN ZEPHYR WHICH WERE BEING SCRATCHED DUE TO A BAD FIT INTO THE DOOR PANELS. OUR LOCAL LINCOLN REMEDIED IT BY DOING A 'TECHNICAL BULLETIN' ON THE CAR. HOWEVER, IT IS STILL DOING IT AND THE WINDOWS ARE SO SCRATCHED YOU CAN BARELY SEE OUT OF THEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER TIME. IT'S MY DAUGHTERS CAR AND I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW BAD IT WAS UNTIL I HAD TO DRIVE IT. OUR LOCAL LINCOLN DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED WE FILE A COMPLAINT WITH LINCOLN CORPORATE BUT WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REACH THEM. WE PAID TO HAVE THE FRONT DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS WINDOWS REPLACED JUST RECENTLY BUT THEN FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM.
RECIEVED RECALL NOTICE IN JANUARY 2020 INDICATING PARTS AVAILABILITY BY THE END OF FIRST QUARTER. STILL WAITING, DEALER IS STONE WALLING INFORMATION. COMPLAINT #111321247 FILED AND STILL NO CONTACT FROM LINCOLN OR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. WHEN ABS OPERATES, BRAKING IS ALMOST NON EXISTENT AND TAKES SEVERAL DAYS FOR THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL TO COME BACK TO NORMAL. BRAKING DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE NORMAL!!! STOPPING ON SNOW.
TAKATA RECALL
I WAS LEAVING MY DOCTORS ON FEBRUARY 21,2019 I WALKED OUT TO PARKING LOT TO START AND IT MADE A NOISE THAT I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE SO IT FINALLY STARTED AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS SO WHEN I GOT GOING IT HAD ROUGH IT WAS FINE WHEN I LEFT THE HOUSE WITH IT BUT ON MY WAY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SO I DECIDED TO STOP AND HAVE IT CHECKED THE SCAN SHOWED 3 CYLINDERS 4 /5/6 MISFIRING SO I REPLACED THE COILS AND SPARK PLUGS BUT WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM WAS IT THAT THE TIMING CHAIN HAD JUMPED TIME CAUSING THE CYLINDERS TO MISFIRE AND ALSO LOOSE POWER IT DIED IN TRAFFIC TWICE ON MY WAY HOME CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.I WAS ON A PUBLIC STREET WITH LOTS OF TRAFFIC.
THE PLATING ON ALL FOUR OF MY WHEELS ARE PEELING MAKING THE TIRES NOT SEAL PROPERLY CAUSING AIR TO LEAK FROM THE TIRES. I HAVE HAD FOUR BLOWOUTS AND SEVERAL FLAT TIRES. I HAVE TO AIR UP THE TIRES EVERY 2 OR 3 DAYS. I HAVE TAKEN THEM TO SEVERAL PLACES TO GET THEM FIXED AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEM OTHER THAN TRY AND PUT A SEALANT ON THE TIRE TO KEEP IT FROM HAPPENING. THIS HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM AND I STILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO AIR THE TIRE EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS.
BRAKE PEDDLE GOES TO THE FLOOR AFTER ABS IS ACTIVATED. IN MY CASE TRYING TO STOP IN THE SNOW. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. FIRST TIME WITH 51318 MILES, SECOND WITH 62700 MILES. THE INTERNET IN FULL OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE PUMP FAILING WHICH CAUSES THE BRAKE PEDDLE TO GO TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE ANOTHER TO ADD TO THAT LIST. WITH THIS BEING A $1000+ FIX AND SEEING HOW MANY HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM IT IS UNDERSTANDABLE WHY WE BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 LINCOLN ZEPHYR. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, SIX VEHICLES LOST CONTROL AND CREATED A CHAIN REACTION CRASH INVOLVING THIRTY VEHICLES. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED ON ALL FOUR SIDES. THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DECLARED THE VEHICLE DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TOW YARD. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE FRONTAL PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS) ON AUGUST 30, 2018 BY KLABEN FORD LINCOLN (1089 W MAIN STREET, KENT, OH 44240). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,000.
TAKATA RECALL
I CAME TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF A GROCERY STOREAND APPLIED THE BRAKE BEFORE TURNING THE CAR OFF. THE NEXT THING I K NEW THE CAR WAS HEADED TOWARD WALL. THE CAR HIT THE WALL B WITH FORCE THAT EMPLOYED MY AIR BAG.AND DAMAGED THE FRONT OF MY CAR. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY INCIDENT I HAVE HAD WITH THE BRAKES . I ALWAYS TRY TO DRIVE A CAR LENGTH FROM THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME FOR FEAR OF THE BRAKES MALFUNCTING....
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE NOW TRIED TO WORK WITH TOWO DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIPS TO GET MY TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACED ON RECALL. I CALL THEM AND TALK TO THEM AND GIVE THEM ALL MY INFORMATION. KORUM FORD OF PUYALLUP SAYS THAT THEY ARE NOT HANDLING THE RECALLS, AND THEN I CONTACTED BOWEN SCARF FORD OF KENT, TALKED TO A REPRESENTATIVE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SCHEDULE ME. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED TO DATE AND I HAVE CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGES MULTIPLE TIMES. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING THAT I CANNOT NOT GET THIS SAFETY ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF.

I WENT TO 2 DEALERS LINCOLN IN MY AREA BECAUSE I RECEIVED LETTER FROM FORD STATING THAT THEY WILL PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR UP TO 45$/DAY UNTIL THIS RECALLED CAR IS DONE AND NONE OF DEALERS WANTED TO PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR-BOTH SAID THAT IS NOT WORTHED AND I WILL LOSE MONEY IF I RENT. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS AND ALL OF THEM TURNED ME AWAY.FORD SEND A LETTER STATING THAT THEY WILL COVER UP TO 45$ / A DAY FOR A RENTAL.RIVERHEAD NY DEALER SAID I HAVE TO RENT THROUGH THEM W HERTZ A FORD VEHICLE TO QUALIFY FOR THIS RENTAL OR ANOTHER CAR UP TO 30$/DAY MAX BECAUSE FORD WILL NOT PAY!!! I FOUND THIS WEIRD AND WENT TO SECOND LINCOLN DEALER BRIGH BAY LINCOLN IN BAY SHORE NY. HERE STORY WAS A LITTLE CHANGED: "YOU CAN RENT THROUGH US W HERTZ ANY CAR UP TO 45$/DAY BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCE A MONTH FOR THE RENTAL AND AFTER TO SUBMIT TO FORD YOUR RENTAL EXPENSE AND THEY WILL DECIDE IF THEY PAY OR NOT!!!!??? ALSO YOU HAVE TO TAKE THIS CAR WITH RECALL TO YOUR PLACE AND SIGN AN AFFIDAVIT THAT YOU WILL NOT USE THE CAR UNTIL IS FIXED!!! I ASK WHY THEY DON'T KEEP THE RECALLED CAR TO THEM AND SAID : NO ROOM! THESE GUYS AT FORD LINCOLN I THINK THEY DO ALL THEY CAN NOT TO GIVE OUT ANOTHER CAR AND PREFER THAT WE RISK OUR LIVES! MAYBE I SHOULD SUE THEM!

"TAKATA RECALL". BROUGHT VEHICLE IN 7/18, WAS GIVEN WRITTEN NOTICE AT THAT TIME OF RECALL STATUS. MADE ATTEMPT THE FOLLOWING MONTH TO HAVE ISSUE RESOLVED AT FORD DEALER IN ITHACA, NY, AND WAS INFORMED RECALL PART NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL MID SEPTEMBER. I ASKED BEFORE LEAVING TO BE PLACED ON LIST SO THEY COULD LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY GOT PART. THAT WAS TWO MONTHS AGO AND I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM SINCE. I NEED HELP.

THE FIRST LETTER WAS DATED IN JUNE 2016 SHOULD I BE COMPENSATED FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO USE MY CAR WITH PASSENGERS RIDING IN THE FRONT SEAT.
