THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. THE RIGHT BLINKER STARTED BLINKING FASTER THAN USUAL. THEN THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. AFTER SEARCHING ON LINE I DISCOVERED RECALL 15S39. THE PROBLEM IS THE "LCM" LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE. I TOOK THE CAR TO PENSKE FORD (ALEX URIBE) IN CHULA VISTA. THEY SAID THEY HAD THE PART BUT THEY LIED. THEY KEPT MY CAR 5 DAYS, NEVER CALLED ME REGARDING STATUS, I CALLED THEM ON THE 5 TH DAY AND I WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS MODIFIED AND THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. I EXPLAINED IT WAS PREVIOUSLY SECRET SERVICE CAR THAT'S WHY IT HAD ADDITIONAL WIRING. TOLD ME I HAD TO REMOVE THE WIRED BEFORE THEY COULD FIX OR HE COULD DO IT FOR $135 HR. AND IT WOULD TAKE 5 TO 6 HOURS. I REFUSED. HOW DID THE INTERCEPTORS GET REPAIRED OR WERE THEY NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL? THE MORE I SEARCH ON LINE I"M FINDING THE DEALERS DON'T WANT TO DO THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT'S TOO LABOR INTENSIVE. IF THAT'S THE CASE WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE? I HAVE NO HEADLIGHTS, NO TAILLIGHTS AND NO DASH LIGHTS. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR THEY TOLD ME "WE GOT YOUR HEADLIGHTS TO WORK, BUT THEY COULD GO OUT ANYTIME" GREAT! I CAN'T DRIVE AT NIGHT AND I'LL PROBABLY GET A TICKET FOR NO TAIL LIGHTS. I CALLED FORD BUT THE PERSON IN THE PHILLIPINES COULDN'T GRASP WHAT I WAS SAYING. IS THERE NO U.S. CUSTOMER SERVICE? HELP PLEASE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE AIR CONDITIONER FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE DEFROSTER TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HOT AIR BLEW FROM THE DEFROSTER AND IT FAILED TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOWS. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE MODE DOOR ACTUATOR UNDERNEATH THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MIKE FITZPATRICK FORD (238 BULLSBORO DRIVE, NEWNAN, GEORGIA 30263) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 107,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED UPON VEHICLE STARTUP. LIGHT FLASHES 3,4 THREE TIMES THEN REMAINS CONSTANT. DIAGNOSTICS INDICATES MALFUNCTION DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT PRETENSIONERS. FORD ESTIMATED REPLACEMENT COST $1,400.00. OEM PART NUMBERS SUPERSEDED BY REPLACEMENT NUMBERS. SHOULD BE RECALLED!!!
I NOV 2014 I TOOK MY GRAND MARQUIS IN FOR A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE LCM (LIGHT CONTROL MODULE),. WHILE THERE, THEY ALSO REPLACED THE LOWER STEER SHAFT FOR A SECOND RECALL THAT I WAS UNAWARE OF (RECALL 13S08). I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING LOCKING UP AT LOW SPEEDS, SO I HAD THE FORD DEALERSHIP CHECK IT. THE SHOWED ME THE LOWER SHAFT THAT HAD BEEN REPLACE UNDER THE RECALL (BY THEM) AND SHOWED ME THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT THAT NOW NEEDS REPLACE DUE TO BEING FROZEN FROM CORROSION. THAT PART WAS ALSO PART OF THE RECALL 13S08, BUT WAS NOT REPLACED. THERE WAS A SECOND RECALL ISSUED ALSO 13R01. NOW FORD IS TELLING ME THERE IS NO OPEN RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE AND THAT DUE TO AGE AND MILEAGE IT IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE, IT IS A SAFETY RECALL ISSUE, THAT WAS NOT PROPERLY FIXED THE FIRST TIME. FORD NOW WANTS TO CHARGE ME $600 FOR PARTS AND LABOR FOR A REPAIR THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED UNDER A SAFETY RECALL.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V861000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.

NEITHER THE AIR CONDITIONER NOR THE CRUISE HAS WORKED SINCE 46,000 MILES. IT NEEDS A NEW AIR COMPRESSOR WHICH WOULD COST OVER $1,000 AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE PLASTERED ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
THIS HAS BEEN A DANGEROUSLY RECURRING ENGINE ACCELERATING PROBLEM WHILE AT REST OR MOVING/COMING TO A STOP ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS BUT ALWAYS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE OR HOLD IN PLACE. THE BRAKES WON'T STOP IT, ONLY TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND RESTARTING WORKS. BARELY AVOIDED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS, SO FAR. MY FORD DEALER HAS INSPECTED THE SYSTEMS AND MY FOOT PLACEMENTS WITH OUT FINDING A PROBLEM OR A SOLUTION. THERE ARE OVER 30 COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS PROBLEM IN YOUR DATABASE, SOME WITH SERIOUS INJURIES. AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, HOW CAN THIS ISSUE BE ESCALATED BEFORE THERE IS A FATALITY? PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V861000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PORTER FORD (600 OGLETOWN RD, NEWARK, DE 19711) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY MOTOR ASSEMBLY WAS STICKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
THE VEHICLE WILL NOT DISENGAGE CRUISE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. IN FACT IT WILL CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE UNTIL I HIT THE BRAKES HARD. I HAVE RECENTLY DISCONNECTED THE SYSTEM, WHAT A SHAME. I AM THE 2ND OWNER. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN SEPT 2017 WITH ONLY 20,109 MILES.

AFTER STARTING ENGINE THE DASHBOARD AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHES 3 OR 4 TIMES AND THEN STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY WHILE DRIVING THE CAR UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. .

GRIFFITH FORD SEGUIN (I-10 FRONTAGE RD, SEGUIN, TX) STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND ANY REPAIR WOULD BE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.

2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO HEAD LIGHT FAILURE. *VA *TR
The contact owns a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that several years ago while driving at night at an undisclosed speed, the headlights became inoperable. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the headlights resumed normal operation. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer and had the headlights serviced under a Customer Satisfaction Program. Recently, the contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the headlights became inoperable without warning. The contact was forced to use the hazard lights after multiple attempts to restart the headlights had failed. The contact coasted the vehicle to the nearest gas station and upon arrival the headlights began to operate. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where he was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

MY CAR'S LIGHT MODEL HAS BEEN RECALLED BUT MINE FAILED BEFORE RECALL. I HAD IT REPARED LOCALLY BY A NON FORD SHOP. AT THE TIME OF MY RECALL I HAD OVER THE 250,000 MILES ALLOWED ON THE CAR. THE LOCAL FORD SHOP (WOOLWINE COLLINS MS) REFUSED TO REPAIR MY CAR OR REINBURSE ME FOR MY REPAIRS I HAD DONE ABOUT 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE RECALL. I CONTINUE TO GET NOTICES FROM FORD TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BUT WHAT CAN I DO??

AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. WHEN STARTING CAR, GET 3 DINGS TWICE, PAUSE, REPEAT ... I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A LOCAL DEALER IT WILL COST $600-$1200 TO FIX. CONSIDERING THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE AND THE FACT THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, WHY HAS NHTSA NOT REQUIRED A RECALL? SINCE I CANNOT AFFORD THE COST, I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT AS I AM SURE MANY OTHERS ARE DOING.

THE LIGHT FOR THE AIR BAG BLINKS AND WILL NOT STOP AS LONG AS THE SWITCH IS ON, THE MANUALIN THE CAR IS NO HELP OR IF IT HAS A FIX BUT SAYS IT IS DANGEROUS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT IT MAY NOT WORK.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 149,000.

I HAVE TOYO VERSADO LX TIRES ON MY 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS P225/60/R16 98T DOT DOT 73A6FWV4410. THE TIRE HAS DEVELOPED A BUBBLE IN THE TREAD ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE. I PULLED THE TIRE OUT OF SERVICE BEFORE ANY FAILURE OR ACCIDENT. TOYO TIRES IS NOT EVEN INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT ANY PART OF THE PROBLEM. THEY JUST TELL ME IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I WAS NOT MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM, BUT AM DISAPPOINTING THAT THEY WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THE DETAILS OF THE PROBLEM TO SEE IF THIS IS AN ISOLATED INCIDENCE OR WHETHER THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE TIRES. I HAD IT CHECKED OUT BY MY LOCAL MECHANIC WHO SAID IT WAS LIKELY A SEATBELT TENSIONER PER THE CODE IN THE COMPUTER. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, I DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE PAGES OF PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. A WORKING REPLACEMENT COULD NOT BE INSTALLED AS THESE PARTS ARE NUMBERED TO THE CAR AND HAVE TO BE REPAIRED AND REPROGRAMMED. DEALERS HAVE QUOTED OVER $500+ FOR THE REPAIR, PER MY RESEARCH. GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE JUST ON THE FORUMS, FOR MANY YEARS AND MILEAGES OF THIS CAR, JUST FOR THIS PROBLEM. THERE IS AN APPARENT PROBLEM WITH FORD'S S Q.C. FROM THE START.
