THIS A LIFE TREATENING SITUATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AND IS UNACCEPTABLE. FORTUNATELY NO ONE HAS BEEN INJURED. WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET THIS FIXED ASP
TAKATA RECALL - I STILL AM BEING TOLD BY MY SERVICING DEALERSHIP (PRIORITY FORD IN NORFOLK, VA) THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THAT IS LUDICROUS. MY CAR MAY NO LONGER BE IN PRODUCTION, BUT IT'S THE MERCURY TWIN TO THE FORD FUSION AND IT'S FORD WHO IS SENDING ME THE RECALL INFO. NOW TAKATA IS IN BANKRUPTCY. THIS HAS BEEN DELAYED ENTIRELY TOO LONG. IT'S ALWAYS THE CONSUMER WHO GETS THE SHORT END OF THE STICK. PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS REPLACEMENT ACCOMPLISHED.

WAS SENT NOTICE OF SAFETY RECALL JULY OF 2016. THE DANGER OF INFLATING CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. HAVE CALLED SEVERAL DEALERS SINCE THIS DATE REPEATEDLY. NO HELP TO FIX RECALLED PARTS.

"TAKATA RECALL" JULY 2016 FORD SENT ME A LETTER THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR IS DEFECTIVE AND THEY WILL BE LETTING ME KNOW WHEN TO TAKE IT IN TO GET IT REPLACED. RECEIVED A LETTER TODAY ( 1 AND 1/2 YEARS LATER) FROM FORD THAT THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON THE PROBLEM AND WHEN AND IF THEY COME UP WITH A FIX THEY WILL LET ME KNOW WHEN TO GET IT FIXED. THEY ALSO STRESS THAT NO ONE SHOULD RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AS THEY CAN BE INJURED OR KILLED BY THE AIRBAG IF IN AN ACCIDENT. THE ONLY THING THEY FORGOT TO MENTION IS THE TRADE IN VALUE OF THE VEHICLE IS NONE. IT IS AN UNSAFE VEHICLE SO THE DEALERS CAN NOT RESELL IT SO THEY DON'T WANT IT AS A TRADE. FORD SHOULD BE MADE TO EITHER BUY BACK THE VEHICLE OR TELL THEIR DEALERS TO GIVE A SPECIAL TRADE VALUE. I AM STUCK WITH A CAR THAT I CAN NOT TRADE IN AND I CAN NOT LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. EVER TRY GOING ON A DATE AND SHE HAS TO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT? I GUESS FORD IS TELLING US NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE IN THE FRONT SEAT SO WHEN SOMEONE GETS KILLED THEY CAN SAY THEY TOLD US NOT TO SIT THERE. VW GOT THE ROYAL SCREWING BECAUSE OF THE DIESEL RIGGING AND THEY WERE MADE TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLES OR GIVE THE OWNERS MONEY. NOBODY DIED FROM THAT SCREW UP. FORD IS GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER.

TAKATA RECALL WAITING FOR REPAIR FOR OVER 1 YEAR - MERCURY CONTINUES TO STATE THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS IS AN INORDINATE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR A SAFETY RECALL.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 20 MPH ON A DIRT ROAD, I STOPPED FOR A SMALL ANIMAL. THE VEHICLE STOPPED AND THE ABS SYSTEM ACTIVATED. I STARTED UP AND STOPPED A SHORT DISTANCE LATER. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME SOFT AND SUNK TO THE FLOOR. WHEN THE BRAKES WERE PUMPED REPEATEDLY THEY RETURNED TO NORMAL. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER. THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND THE ISSUE AND THE AUTOMOBILE BEHAVED NORMALLY FOR THEM. I HAVE DRIVEN THIS VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 24 HOURS SINCE. IT HAS BEHAVED NORMALLY AND I HAVE HAD NOT ACTIVATED THE ABS SYSTEM SINCE. AFTER READING THE DOZEN OTHER REPORTS ON SIMILAR EVENTS ON YOUR SITE, I AM FILING THIS REPORT. THERE ARE OTHER REPORTS OF THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT, ON THE WEB. THE AUTOMOBILE HAS 141,130 MILES ON IT AND IS OTHERWISE IN GOOD CONDITION.
PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. TOOK CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP WHO DIAGNOSED IT AS A SENSOR PROBLEM, AND IF NOT REPAIRED COULD PREVENT THE AIRBAG FROM DEPLOYING. I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME, I'VE EVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE, I SAW THERE WERE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. IS THE NHTSA AWARE OF THESE SAFETY HAZARDS AND SHOULD A RECALL BE IMPLEMENTED?
TAKATA RECALL. RECALL ISSUED JUNE 1, 2016, AS OF OCTOBER 20, 2017, STILL NO REMEDY PER WEB SITE AND THE DEALER I CALLED. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING DEFECT AND A REMEDY SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND BY NOW.
TAKATA RECALL, WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN 2016 THAT TAKATA AIR BAGS WERE DEFECTIVE AND IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, METAL OBJECTS COULD BE EJECTED FROM AIR BAG POSSIBLY INJURING OR KILLING THE PASSENGER. WAS TOLD BY LOCAL FORD DEALER THAT PROBLEM MOST LIKELY WOULD NOT BE FIXED AND TO BE HAPPY THAT I DID NOT OWN A MUSTANG AS THEY ARE ON A 10 YEAR WAITING LIST TO BE FIXED.

"TAKATA RECALL" GOT RECALL NOTICE LAST YEAR AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING. IS IT SAVE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE? IF NOT, WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO WITHOUT A CAR? WILL FORD GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE? LETTER FROM FORD INDICATED IT IS UNSAFE TO USE VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL THERE HAS BEEN NO UPDATE IN THE LAST YEAR SINCE THE RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED, REGARDING REPLACING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN MY 2007 MERCURY MILAN. THE STITCHING (OR WHATEVER MATERIAL IS USED) HAS STARTED TO DISINTEGRATE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD, WHERE THE AIRBAG IS HOUSED. I'VE BEEN HOPING THE RECALL WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BEFORE NOW, SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE THE CAR TAKEN IN TWICE TO BE FIXED: ONCE FOR THE DETERIORATING DASHBOARD AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, AND A SECOND TIME TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED WHEN THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL BECOME AVAILABLE. I'M VERY CONCERNED TO KEEP DRIVING THE CAR, AND ALSO FOR THE RESALE VALUE, IF I WANTED TO SELL THE CAR DUE TO THIS ISSUE STILL NOT BEING RESOLVED.

"TAKATA RECALL" RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE JUNE 2016 FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG. AS OF OCTOBER 2017, NOT FIXED AND ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL DEALER IT IS UNKNOWN WHEN AND IF IT WILL EVER BE FIXED. THEY HAVE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS. THEY CLAIM IS IS OK TO USE THE VEHICLE, BUT ONE OF THE PERSONNEL AT THE DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED NO ONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT. IF YOU HAVE A PASSENGER, HAVE THEM RIDE ON THE BACK. ALSO STATED IF IT DOES GO OFF IT MIGHT INJURE THE DRIVER BECAUSE THE METAL PARTS FLY ALL OVER THE VEHICLE. THE RECALL HAS LOWERED THE RESALE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE DEALER CAN NOT RESELL IT WITH THE RECALL NOT FIXED. (SELLING UNSAFE VEHICLE)
