Got a post card stating that the headlamp covers were recalled I called Nissan to make an appointment and Nissan has fought me every step of the way. I am unable to see at night with my headlights on and I have to turn on high beams at night just to see. It's very frustrating to not being able to see and very expensive to pay tickets for driving with high beams on.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT UNDISCLOSED SPEEDS AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN RIGHT OR LEFT, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE AT THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED ON ONE OCCASION WHILE TURNING INTO THE DRIVEWAY OF THE RESIDENCE, THE CONTROL ARM DETACHED FROM THE SUSPENSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FAILURE WAS DUE TO CORROSION OF THE SUB FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MIKE ERDMAN NISSAN LOCATED AT 4560 HIGHWAY 520, COCOA FL 32926, (321)453-2050, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR SUB FRAME AND CONTROL ARMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE, CASE NUMBER: 38348110. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,387.
I am referring to my 2015 Nissan Altima headlight dimness. The car has been apart of a settlement which i was approved for. The settlements website is listed here: http://www.altimaheadlightsettlement.com/ I have been approved for headlight repair for more than 6months. I purchased the vehicle in December of 2019, without the knowledge of any headlight issues. I work late some times and simply cannot drive this vehicle with its headlights, it is a major safety hazard not only for myself but also for other drivers. Nissan Dealership that i purchased the vehicle at, had approved me for free headlight repair as listed in the settlement, and i had actually gone to the location, they performed an inspection / test and i had qualified for repair. Now it has since been 6+ months with no repair, and no timeline on when headlights will be replaced. I cannot continue to be at risk of driving the vehicle at night with non adequate lighting for myself to see and others to see me. The issue occurred immediately after purchasing the vehicle and has caused me to not be able to drive it at night. The issue as mentioned above, has been confirmed and a settlement has been reached but my problem is, that the settlement has been reached and i've been approved but i keep getting the work around from the dealership putting blame somewhere else and making me wait for new headlights. It is unsafe and wrong.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
DRIVER AND PASSENGER HEAD LIGHTS DIM, NOT PROJECTING ENOUGH LIGHT TO PROVIDE CLEAR PATH OF VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. BOTH INNER BULBS HAVE HAZED OVER TO A CLOUDY WHITE, NO LONGER CLEAR, AND NOT ALLOWING LIGHT THROUGH. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER, WAS TOLD BOTH HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE $1100.00 REPAIR WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY.
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF A NEPHEW WHO OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HIS NEPHEW WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, HIS VISIBILITY WAS DECREASED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT ILLUMINATED FROM THE HEADLAMPS ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (ROYAL NISSAN LOCATED AT 9325 AIRLINE HWY, BATON ROUGE, LA 70815) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REFLECTOR IN THE HEADLAMP HOUSING WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEADLAMPS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
I TRIED TO RELEASE THE HOOD BY WAY OF PULLING THE INTERIOR LATCH, IT DID NOT OPEN. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN THE NEXT DAY. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND PRESSED ON IT (TO BE SURE IT WAS CLOSED) AND DROVE AWAY FROM THE GAS STATION. I WAS DRIVING 30 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE HOOD LET GO AND HYPEREXTENDED AND FLEW UP IN FRONT OF ME AND I WAS UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHING.
MY HEADLIGHTS ARE GETTING DIMMER AND DIMMER. I REPLACED THE BULBS TWICE. BUT THEY ARE STILL DIMMING. NOW HAVING TO USE HIGH BEAMS ALL THE TIME.
IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE WITH ONLY THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON. HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT I CAN NOT SEE MORE THAN A FOOT IN FRONT OF ME ESPECIALLY IF THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS. IT'S PRETTY MUCH LIKE DRIVING WITH NO HEADLIGHTS ON. EVEN PEOPLE THAT HAVE RIDDEN IN MY CAR CAN TELL THE HEADLIGHTS ARE NONEXISTENT. I SUFFERED SOME FRONT END DAMAGE TO MY CAR AFTER HITTING A GARBAGE CAN THAT I DID NOT SEE WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME AT NIGHT. THIS IS TRULY A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE TRIED TO GET A BRIGHT BUILT (60% MORE VISION); HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT HELP.
P17F1 CVT JUDDER CODE...THERE ARE RECALLS ON V6 NISSAN ALTIMAS FROM 2015, BUT IT DOES NOT APPLY TO THE 4 CYLINDER MODELS, YET THE CARS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. MOST LIKELY THE TRANSMISSION WILL NEED REPLACED. VERY COSTLY FOR A 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE ($3500 FROM NON-DEALER, $4000 - $5000 DEALER ESTIMATE). DEALER CHARGES $140 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY. TRANSMISSION COMPANY I SPOKE WITH SAID THIS WAS THE 4TH ALTIMA HE HAD SEEN THIS WEEK WITH THE SAME ISSUE....TYPICALLY HAPPENS BETWEEN 100,000 - 120,000 MILES. MY VEHICLE HAS 111,000 MILES.
WHEN I HAD BROUGHT MY CAR LESS THAN ONE MONTH LATER THE HEADLIGHTS WAS NOT WORKING ONLY THE HIGH BEAM WORKS.

MY PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. HAD HARRY GREEN IN CLARKSBURG WV LOOK AT IT 1125/2019. FOUND NOTHING. SAID THEY HOOKED IT UP TO A COMPUTER AND NO ERRORS WERE REPORTED. DOES IT IN MOTION. THE OF ROAD DOESN'T SEEM TO TRIGGER IT
I WAS DRIVING MY DAUGHTER HOME FROM PRE-K AND HAD BEEN IN THE CAR FOR 10 MILES WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AT A VERY BUSY FOUR -WAY INTERSECTION. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE. I WAS SHOCKED. IT WAS PERFECTLY FINE ONE MINUTE AND DID NOT MOVE THE NEXT MINUTE. THE CAR ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL AND IT WOULDN'T GO. AFTER PRESSING A FEW TIMES, THE CAR STARTED TO GO VERY SLOWLY. I TOOK SOME BACK ROADS STOPPING AT DIFFERENT PARKING LOTS HOPING TO MAKE IT HOME. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT AT 59,700 MILES, MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA'S CVT TRANSMISSION IS NON-FUNCTIONAL & THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE IS STARTING TO SHOW UPL. I OWE MONEY ON THE LOAN AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OR START FROM SCRATCH. NO RECALLS. NO HELP. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.

THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES ON HIS LOWER BACK AND RIGHT KNEE AND HAD RECEIVED PHYSICAL THERAPY AND STILL SEEKING MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO SEE IF NEEDING A SURGERY FOR A SCIATIC NERVE. THE CONTACT STATED HIS SON WHO WAS SITTING ON PASSENGER REAR SIDE, ALSO SUSTAINED INJURIES ON HIS RIBS AND BACK AND HAD RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. HAVE OWNED CAR FOR 2.5 YEARS. INITIALLY HEADLIGHTS APPEARED FINE. THE HEADLIGHTS BRIGHTNESS OF THE HEADLIGHTS HAS DEGRADED SO MUCH THAT I BELIEVE NIGHT DRIVING PUTS THE DRIVER AT GREAT RISK. VISIBILITY WITH LOW BEAMS SEEM MORE LIKE PARKING LIGHTS. NO USEFUL LIGHTING FOR MORE THAN A FEW FEET. THE HIGH BEAM NOW SERVE AS MY LOW BEAM AND THEY APPEAR TO BE DECLINING. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND UNSETTLING! I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP INITIALLY THINKING IT WAS THE BULB. THEY SAID IT WASN'T THE BULB, BUT THE REFLECTORS. THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A REPORTED PROBLEM. A RECALL HAS NOT BEEN MADE! THIS IS CLEARLY AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I'M TOTALLY FEARFUL IF IT SHOULD RAIN AS IT FURTHER REDUCES THE LIMITED VISIBILITY. AMAZING THAT THIS PROBLEM AND CONCERN THAT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR AT LEAST A FEW YEARS CONTINUES TO GO UNADDRESSED.
LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM ON LOW BEAM. THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT THAT MAKES IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. REPLACEMENT FOR BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY'S COST AROUND $800. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE AT NIGHT BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE.

ON NOVEMBER 8TH MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA AND THE RPM STARTING GOING UP AND AS SHE WAS PRESSING THE GAS THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING BAD IN MY CAR AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME $4500.00 TO GET FIXED. AFTER TALKING TO SEVERAL PEOPLE I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH A 4 CYLINDER ENGINE. IF THERE IS A RECALL THEN WHY IS MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TRYING TO GET ME TO PAY. I WEN TO THE NHTSA.GOV WEBSITE AND TYPED IN MY VIN NUMBER AND IT SHOWED THAT MY VEHICLE IS RECALLED. DO I TAKE MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB ON THAT DEALERSHIP? I DON'T HAVE $4500.00 TO FIX MY TRANSMISSION ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A RECALL ON IT.
WHEN VEHICLE WAS PURCHASE FROM DEALER, THE HEADLIGHTS WORKED GREAT. NOW THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE WHITE AND YELLOW LINES ON THE ROAD AHEAD OF YOU. WHEN CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP THEIR ANSWER WAS 'WE'RE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM' AND RECOMMENDED BUYING NEW HEADLIGHTS AT 800$ A POP. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION AND RESEARCH I FIND THIS IS IN FACT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND SEVERAL THOUSAND COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE. WHEN CAN I EXPECT A RECALL ON THIS POTENTIALLY DEADLY ISSUE? I ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY A CAR MANUFACTURER THAT PUTS PROFITS BEFORE SAFETY. WITHOUT THE NHTSA STANDING UP FOR THE PUBLIC THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BECOME AND REMAIN A ISSUE FOR INNOCENT AND NEEDLESS FATALITIES.

THE LOCAL DEALER MCGUIRE NISSAN LOCATED AT 716 WEST GENESEE ST, SYRACUSE NY 13204, (315) 802-4432 WAS CONTACTED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER WITH PERFECT VISION CAN BARELY SEE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT ON HIGHWAYS AND BACKROADS UNLESS SHE HAS THE HIGH BEAMS ON. I'VE LEARNED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL CAR. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED.

WHILE DRIVING BACK FROM VACATION ON THE HIGHWAY THE ICON FOR SUPPLEMENTAL AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND DID NOT GO OFF AS EXPECTED. THE MANUAL SAYS THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENS I SHOULD GO TO THE NEAREST NISSAN DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. I LOOKED UP MY CAR AND FOUND THAT YOU DID A VERY ABBREVIATED RECALL FOR MY TYPE CAR . DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE NOT REPAIRING 2015 ALTIMAS FOR AIR BAG DEFECTS? I CAN TEXT A PICTURE OF THE ICON THAT DOES NOT GO AWAY WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED AS IT SHOULD. AM I IN DANGER OF AN AIR BAG MALFUNCTION? I CAN TEXT YOU THE ICON THAT IS BRIGHT RED ALL THE TIME WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED.
MY HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AT NIGHT AND I HAVE TO USE MY BRIGHT LIGHTS. IT'S BEEN DOING THIS FOR AWHILE NOW. ON DARK ROADS, I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING. AUTO STORE SAYS LIGHTS DON'T NEED TO BE REPLACED, THAT IT'S A FACTORY DEFAULT.
LOW BEAM LIGHTS VERY DIM. CANNOT SEE WELL AT NIGHT AT ALL, IT'S LIKE I HAVE NO LIGHTS. CHANGING THEM DID NOT HELP. I'M ONLY 40 AND HAVE NO VISION PROBLEMS. THE SEATBELT LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING AND MY SEATBELT IS ON. NISSIAN CANNOT PULL A CODE ON WHY.
IN AN ACCIDENT GOING 60MPH GOT HIT ON DRIVERS SIDE AND FRONT AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE. HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT AND SAID THE AIRBAGS MUST BE HUNG UP BECAUSE THEY SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND SHOULD DEPLOY ANYTIME YOU ARE HIT GOING OVER 25MPH
THE POWER STEERING SEEMS LIKE IT IS OBVIOUSLY MILDLY STIFF WHILE DRIVING.

THE VEHICLE CAN BE SITTING STILL AND WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THE ENGINE DOES NOT EVEN REV UP. IT IS AS THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS IS MOTION AND YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS STILL, LOW SPEED OR HIGH SPEED. AND DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM CHECK DOES NOT SHOW THE PROBLEM AND THE ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON OR GET ANY KIND OF READING. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. HAVE TO EXTREME CAUTION WHEN GETTING ON THE FREEWAY AND/OR CHANGING LANES IN TRAFFIC.
MY KEY FOB IS ACTING UP...INCORRECT KEY ID,,KEEPS POPPING UP..I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS DOING THIS,,I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I REALLY AM NNOT SAFE WHEN I AM STRANDED BECAUSE MY CAR WILL NOT START
THE HEADLIGHTS OF MY NISSAN ALTIMA 2015 IS REALLY WEEK AND IS BECOMING WEAKER DAY BY DAY TO THE POINT IT'S HAZARDOUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT ESPECIALLY IN RAIN, SNOW OR FOG. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS ACCUMMULATION OF WATER VAPOR INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. THEY DON'T GO AWAY.
THE CAR FAILS TO ACCELERATE WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL. SOMETIMES IT WILL HAVE DELAYED ACCELERATION OR NONE AT ALL. THE ENGINE WILL REV BUT NO MOTION. I ALSO TOOK THE CAR FOR A SMOG CHECK IN ATTEMPT TO CHANGE OWNERSHIP AND IT DIDN'T PASS SMOG A CODE P0776 CAME UP. TOOK IT TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THEY STATED IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. NOW I'M STUCK WITH THIS DANGEROUS DEATH TRAP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHILE TURNING AND WHILE ON THE FREEWAY. IT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY WITH NO WARNING.
THE AIRBAG LIKE HAVE BEEN ON FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS..THE NISSAN DEALER INFORM ME THAT THE AIRBAG COMPONENT ENTIRE SYSTEM IS FAULTY..MY CAR IS A 2015, WITH ONLY 30K MILES ON IT, NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, I DONT DRIVE IT THAT MUCH, JUST GOT IT INSPECTED IN JULY, NOW IN SEPTEMBER IT HAS A FAULTY AIR BAG SYSTEM. THIS IS NOT NORMAL IN A JUST ABOUT BRAND NEW CAR..PRICE TO REPAIR IS 1600+. WHEN STARTING THE CAR, THE LIGHT JUST DONT GO OFF, LIKE IT SHOULD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER FAILED TO FUNCTION AND HOT AIR BLEW OUT OF THE VENTS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,776.
ONE DAY MY HOOD LATCH CAME OPEN WHILE DRIVING AND NOW IT WON'T EVEN OPEN UP AT ALL
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT VERY DIM, EVEN AFTER REPLACING BULB. RESEARCH SHOWS LOW BEAM REFLECTOR HOUSING IS FAULTY, NOT REFLECTING LIGHT, CREATING UNSAFE NIGHT DRIVING CONDITION. FURTHER RESEARCH SHOW ONLY WAY TO REMEDY IS TO REPLACE COMPLETE HEADLIGHT HOUSING.
BOUGHT MY ALTIMA USED WITH 60K MILES. AT 80K IT STARTED EXHIBITING A DELAYED ACCELERATION FROM TOTAL STOP AFTER SOME WARMUP PERIOD. WITH 106K MILES, AFTER WARMUP, IT NOW ALWAYS HAS DELAYED ACCELERATION FROM ANY COMPLETE STOP. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAS NO EFFECT UNTIL 80% DEPRESSED THEN IT STARTS LIKE ITS IN 3RD GEAR. SCARY IF TURNING ACROSS TRAFFIC. DEALER SAYS ITS A FAULTY SOLENOID IN THE TRANSMISSION. ON LINE COMPLAINTS ACROSS SEVERAL MODELS ARE PREVALENT.
THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS IDLING HIGH WHEN DRIVING AND WHILE SITTING AT A LIGHT. WITHOUT REALIZING IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION, THE CAR WOULD JERK WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. AS THE CAR WAS DRIVING TLAND WITH YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS IT WOULD IDLE TO THE TOP AND WHEN IT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN IT WOULD JERK INTO GEAR AND TAKE OUT. EVENTUALLY IT WOULD STALL AT 2ND GEAR AMD OF I WAS CROSSING TRAFFIC OR TURNING A CORNER IT WOULD STALL FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN KICK INTO HIGH GEAR WITH A HARD JERK.
MY CAR STARTS TO SHUDDER AND SOUND LIKE IT'S IN NEUTRAL. I WAS TURNING INTO A STORE AND IT STALLED, BUT IT THEN KICKED INTO DRIVE SO I COULD MOVE OUT OF THE WAY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED BY A REPUTABLE TRANSMISSION PERSON AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT BACK TO NISSAN BECAUSE THERE HAVE BEEN SOME RECALLS OR EXTENDED WARRANTY. I CALLED AND LONG STORY SHORT, I WAS TOLD IT HAS NO WARRANTY DUE TO BEING OVER THE MILEAGE AND THERE AREN'T RECALLS. I HAVE CHECKED AND SEE SOME COMPLAINTS FILED BACK OCTOBER OF 2018. MINE IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING. I SEE IT WAS SOME OF THE MODELS; HOWEVER, IF ALL OF THESE CARS ARE HAVING THE SAME TRANSMISSION PROBLEM, THE WARRANTY SHOULD BE EXTENDED SO THEY CAN BE REPAIRED.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THIS MORNING AND STOPPED AT THE LIGHT TO MAKE THE LEFT TURN (ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO MY DRIVE). ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I STEPPED ON THE GAS BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON. PUSHING ON THE GAS, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE TO THE MORE THAN 40 MPH. I TURNED THE CAR AROUND TO GO HOME (ABOUT 1 MILE AWAY) AS I DIDN'T FEEL IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND HAD TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURN. ONCE STOPPED, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. IT WAS STILL ON AND NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY ACCELERATE, AGAIN NO MORE THAN 40 MPH. THIS WAS SCARY AND DANGEROUS. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
HAVE SHUDDERING OF THE CAR WHEN DRIVING UP TO 40 MPH. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP (WHERE IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN SERVICED) AND DIAGNOSTICS DETERMINED A "BAD" TRANSMISSION WITH IDENTIFIED "JUDDER" CODE. HOWEVER, THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ISSUED BY NISSAN TO ADDRESS TO THIS ISSUE DOES NOT CURRENTLY EXTEND TO 6 CYLINDERS, OF WHICH MINE IS. I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS, AS MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AS STATED IN BULLETIN NTB16-085 AND NTB15-015G.
PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2016 WITH 22,000 MILES. AT THE 2ND OIL CHANGE, NISSAN DEALERSHIP SAID IT NEEDED THE CVT REPROGRAMMED. FROM THAT POINT UNTIL NOW, I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT JUDDERING, SHUDDERING, DELAYED ACCELERATION, AND JUST NOT GOING WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED BEFORE BEING COMPLETELY DISABLED, IT LEFT ME STRANDED ON AN INTERSTATE RAMP MERGING INTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC, THE CAR JUST WOULD NO GO. IT ACTED LIKE IT WAS STARTING OFF IN 3RD GEAR, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS! WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD THAT IF SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON, BUT IT WOULD COST ME $200 FOR A DIAGNOSIS SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. NOW, MY CAR HAS 140K MILES AND IS OUT OF WARRANTY, THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THEY STILL WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE MULTIPLE TSB'S ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA 4-CYLINDER CVT, WHICH MY CAR IS, AND THEY'VE TOLD ME THAT NONE OF THEM APPLY TO MY CAR. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AFFECTING MILLIONS OF CUSTOMERS!

THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND / OR IN MOTION. AND NO ENGINE OR ANYTHING CON=MES TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG. MECHANICS CAN NOTFIX IT, BECAUSE NOTHING SHOWS ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. SOMETIME WHEN PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINE DOES NOTHING. AS IF THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. AFTER REPEATEDLY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE ENGINE WILL FINALLY RESPOND AS IT SHOULD. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.

WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 45 MPH, SHE WAS UNABLE TO SEE MORE THAN TEN FEET IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO POOR ILLUMINATION FROM BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED PAYNE'S AUTO MART & LEASING (LOCATED AT 1524 1ST AVE SE, MOULTRIE, GA 31768, (229) 985-0989) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
WHEN AN ADULT IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE AIRBAG IS TURNED OFF. WHEN WE STOP THE CAR THE PASSENGER GETS OUT AND THEN BACK IN THE AIRBAG IS TURNED ON BUT THEN TURNS IT SELF OFF AGAIN.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR RANDOMLY DROPS INTO THE DOWN POSITION BLOCKING THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY. THE VISOR FALLS WITHOUT WARNING AND CAN BE STARTLING. IT IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO RETURN TO THE UP POSITION. UPON INSPECTION IT APPEARS THAT THE BODY OF THE VISOR HAS COME APART AT THE SEAMS INSIDE OF THE CLOTH COVERING. THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING, WHILE IN MOTION DURING A VARIETY OF DRIVING CONDITIONS.
INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE SINCE 25K MILES. THE CAR REVS AND LOSES SPEED. SOMETIMES I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND IT WILL NOT GO FOR 2-5 SECOMDS. RECENTLY GOING UP A HILL THE CAR ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE I WAS PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. TURNING THE CAR OFF CAN "CURE" THE SYMPTOM UNTIL IT RANDOMLY HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS DIFFICULT DRIVING IN TRAFFIC, OR DECIDING TO MAKE LEFT TURNS BECAUSE I CAN NOT DEPEND ON ACCELERATION
