ISSUES WITH THE HOOD LATCH NOT WANTING TO PROPERLY LATCH AND SETTING OFF ALARM AND SIGNAL INSIDE THE CAR DASH ALSO THIS VEHICLE KEEPS SAYING THAT THERE IS NO ONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN THEY'RE INDEED IS SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IF IN A CAR CRASH I DON'T KNOW WHY MY CAR WASN'T INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL THAT WAS FOR BOTH OF THESE ISSUES BUT IT HAS BOTH OF THESE ISSUES COMING THROUGH A CARMAX DEALERSHIP
WHEN STARTING FROM A DEAD STOP, PRESSING DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDDLE NO FORWARD CAR ACCELERATION, NO INCREASE IN RPM. AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ( 2-3) SECONDS FAST INCREASE IN RPM AND FAST FORWARD ACCELERATION. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE WHEN TRYING TO MERGE FROM A DEAD STOP AND EXPECTING FORWARD MOTION AND THERE IS NONE. THIS HAS BEEN A NISSAN PROBLEM SINCE 2008 AND NO FIX OR TEST WHEN TAKEN TO DEALER. THIS IS A SPORADIC PROBLEM ONLY NOTICED FROM A DEAD STOP, CITY STREETS GOING STRAIGHT OR MAKING TURN ON START, GAS TANK QUANTITY NO ISSUE IN THIS PROBLEM.
"TAKATA RECALL" I'VE ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR A MONTH I BOUGHT IT ON 9/15/2017. NOW MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM HOUSTON AUTO GROUP
OWN A 2015 ALTIMA WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM AND YELLOW DUE TO INTERNAL CORROSION AND THE PROJECTOR LENS IS OPAQUE, WHICH DIFFUSES THE LIGHT OUTPUT. VERY POOR LIGHTING
AT VERY LOW SPEED (AS IN SEARCHING FOR A PARKING SPACE) THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE, WITHOUT WARNING, AND THEN FALL BACK TO AN IDLE. MY CURRENT 2015 ALTIMA IS AT THE BODY SHOP NOW BECAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT (DUE TO THIS UNANNOUNCED ACCELERLATION) WHERE MY WIFE RAN THROUGH A WALL AT RITEAID DRUGS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PARKING SPACE AND ALMOST COMPLETELY STOPPED WHEN IT ACCELERATED. MY WIFE WAS NOT BADLY INJURED, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN, NOT OT MENTION ANY PEDESTRIANS THAT MIGHT HAVE WALKED IN FRONT OF THE HER CAR. I HAVE POLICE REPORT, PICS, ETC., BUT UNABLE TO LOAD THEM. AIR BAG LIGHT STAY'S ON THAT AIR IS OFF WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON MEANING AIR BAG IS OFF WITH A PASSENGER IN SEAT
HAS A HESITATION ON TAKE OFF, LIKE IT DOES NOT MOVE WHEN YOU PUSH THE ACCELERATOR. A VERY BAD DEAD SPOT. MAKES IT VERY DANGEROUS TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY OR STANDING BY A STOPLIGHT. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN WE STOP AT A STOPLIGHT, THE CAR WON'T MOVE FORWARD
WHEN PLACED ON PARK THE CAR STILL ROLLS FORWARD OR BACK AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE CAR PULLS WHEN DRIVING IN A SLOW SPEED OF 5-20 MPR AND SOMETIMES THE FLOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE VIBRATE. ALSO, THE ELECTRICAL BUTTONS LOCATED ON THE STEERING WHEEL ARE UNABLE TO BE USED WHEN ON PARKED OR DRIVING. THE VOLUME OR PHONE OR SELECTION SWITCH DOES NOT WORK AGAIN...
OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME (APROX. 2 YEARS), THE HEADLIGHT LOW-BEAM OUTPUT HAS DECREASED TO UNSAFE LEVELS. AT NIGHT, IT IS HARD TO TELL IF THE HEADLIGHT ARE EVEN ON, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT SEEM TO LIGHT UP THE ROAD AT ALL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE THE BULBS, AND CLEANING THE LENS, BUT NEITHER HAS HELPED. I LOOKED FURTHER INTO THE ISSUE, AND IT APPEARS THE REFLECTOR MATERIAL INSIDE THE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT HAS BURNT OFF FROM REGULAR USE IN THE 2 YEARS THAT I OWNED THE CAR (PURCHASED NEW), THERE IS ALMOST NO REFLECTIVE MATERIAL LEFT IN THE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT. I CHECKED WITH NISSAN DEALERSHIP, AND THAT ISN'T SOMETHING THAT IS COVERED BY ANY OF THE WARRANTIES, THERE IS ALSO NO RECALL FOR THIS PART WHICH I FIND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. EVERY SINGLE 2014+ ALTIMA THAT I SEE ON THE STREET APPEARS TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, THE ROAD IN FRONT OF THE CAR ISN'T LIT, AND I AM SURE IT IS ALSO DUE TO THE BURNED OFF REFLECTORS IN THEIR HEADLIGHTS AS WELL.
MY VEHICLE HAS AN ISSUE WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS NOT ACTIVE WHEN AN ADULT OCCUPANT IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHTS UP AND INDICATES THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS "OFF" WHEN AN ADULT OCCUPANT IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000) FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM ONMY VEHICLE. HOWEVER, WHEN I ENTER MY VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER INTO THE NHTSA WEBSITE, IT DOES NOT SHOW ANY OUTSTANDING RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE. NHTSA AND NISSAN SHOULD DOUBLE CHECK THE VEHICLES AFFECTED AS PART OF THE RECALL. THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES AFFECTED MAYBE GREATER THAN ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED SINCE MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL, YET IT IS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOM AS OUTLINED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY TOO DIM, POSING A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY RISK. HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON TO SAFELY SEE THE ROAD, AND FOR OTHERS TO SEE US.*DT CONSUMER STATED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES WAS REPLACED.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT HEARD A DROWNING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE THAT BECAME INCREASINGLY LOUDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BOB JOHNSON NISSAN (4000 W RIDGE RD, ROCHESTER, NY 14626) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION FOR FREE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON DASH REMAINS ON. PASSENGER AIR BAG REMAINS OFF WHEN OCCUPENT IS SEATED.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF
BRAKES HAVE BEEN SQUEEKING FOR A YEAR. TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AND THEY CLAIMED BRAKE DUST AND THAT THEY ARE CERAMIC BRAKES. UTTERLY ANNOYING AND IT IS ONLY A YEAR OLD. SQUEEK HAPPENS ANYTIME BRAKE IS PRESSED.
TAKATA RECALL PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR IS FUNCTIONING ABNORMALLY. IT WILL SHOW THE AIRBAG OFF WHEN THERE IS NO ONE AND NOTHING IN THE SEAT AT TIMES AND THEN WILL SHOW THE AIRBAG TO BE FUNCTIONING AT OTHERS. IT WILL ALSO BE ERRATIC WHEN I AM SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. I WEIGHT 120 LBS. MOST TIMES THE AIRBAG WILL SHOW IT IS OFF AND ONLY REGISTER ON FOR BRIEF PERIODS.
MY HEADLIGHTS STARTED DIMMING OVER A YEAR AGO, AND I CAN'T EVEN SEE THE GROUND IN FRONT OF MY CAR AT NIGHT. I'VE COMPLAINED TO ORR NISSAN, BOSSIER CITY, LA AND THEY ACT AS THOUGH THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. I NEED THIS FIXED BY THEM IMMEDIATELY BEFORE A TRAGEDY OCCURS.
THE VISIBILITY IS VERY POOR. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR WITH 22K ON IT.
CAR JUST CUTS OFF WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS HOT
I WAS ON MY WAY TO MY DESTINATION AND EVERY TIME I WOULD PRESS THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. IT WOULD HESITATE TO GO. THEN LATER THAT AFTERNOON I WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND THE CAR TURNED OFF. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AT ALL AND I HAD PLENTY OF GAS.
I BOUGHT MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA NEW ON OCTOBER 1, 2014. BECAUSE I USUALLY DRIVE IN URBAN AREAS WITH GOOD STREET LIGHTING, I DID NOT NOTICE MY WEAK LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS UNTIL JULY 2, 2017. I WENT TO ONE DEALERSHIP WHICH TOLD ME MY LIGHTS WERE OK. I SUBSEQUENTLY GOT 'WARNINGS' FROM 2 POLICE OFFICERS WHO TOLD ME MY LIGHTS WERE TOO DIM. I THEN TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE FIRST DEALERSHIP WHICH AGAIN FOUND NO PROBLEM. I THEN GOT PULLED OVER A THIRD TIME. TOOK MY CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO CHANGED THE HEADLIGHTS (CHARGED ME ABOUT $150) WHICH DID NOT HELP. I THEN CALLED AND WROTE TO NISSAN: PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO TALK TO ME AND MY LETTER TO A COMPANY OFFICER WENT UNANSWERED. I THEN WENT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC SPECIALIZING IN HEADLIGHTS, SHOWED THEM MY ORIGINAL AND THE REPLACEMENT HEADLIGHTS (BOTH SETS WERE GOOD), SO HE SUGGESTED THAT I GET HID HEADLIGHTS. THOSE COST ABOUT $250, AND DID NOT HELP. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN ALEXANDRIA, VA, THAT DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED MOISTURE IN MY HEADLIGHTS AND SAID THAT SINCE I'D ALWAYS GOTTEN MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS AT A DEALERSHIP, THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN NISSAN TO SPLIT THE COST OF REPAIRS. BUT SINCE I'D HADHID HEADLIGHTS INSTALLED, I'D HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE $1,600 COST OF REPAIRS MYSELF. I'VE HAD TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON. MY HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO REACH THE BUMPER OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF MINE WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. EARLY NEXT MONTH, I'M GOING TO PAY ANOTHER $500 FOR A NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY + INSTALLATION OF FOG LIGHTS, BECAUSE THE MECHANIC AT THE SPECIALIZED SHOP (WHO HAS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH THE SAME PROBLEM) SAYS THAT THIS IS A FAULTY DESIGN. ALL IN ALL, I'LL HAVE SPENT ALMOST $1,000 ON A PROBLEM NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT AND WON'T ADDRESS. I HAVE VIDEOS THAT CLEARLY SHOW THIS PROBLEM.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving with a passenger seated in the front passenger’s seat, the air bag warning light illuminated with the “Air Bag Off” message displayed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and stated that the air bag switch needed to be reconnected. The switch was reconnected to attempt to fix the failure however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM AFTER REACHING ABOUT 75,000 MILES. I MOSTLY DO DAY DRIVING FOR WORK, BUT USE THE CAR A NIGHT FOR HOME USE TOO. I'VE REPLACED THE HEADLIGHTS TWICE NOW -EACH TIME GETTING THE NEXT BRIGHTER VERSION HEADLIGHT, BUT THEY'RE STILL, LITERALLY AS BRIGHT AS A CANDLE. CARS BEHIND ME CAST SHADOW IN FRONT OF ME AT NIGHT AND I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING UNLESS I PUT ON MY BRIGHTS. CARS IN FRONT OF ME GET ANNOYED WITH MY BRIGHTS.
I BOUGHT A USED 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA ON 6/23/2017 WITH APPROX. 47,000. AROUND 6/30/17 THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING OVER 40MPH AND THE RPM WAS GOING ALL THE WAY OVER TO 8 & 9. THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS NOT SHIFTING INTO GEAR. I HAD TO PULL OVER, CUT OFF THE CAR AND CRANK IT BACK UP AGAIN. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THEN, WHEN I'M AT A LIGHT THAT THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE OVER 5-10 MPH AND I HAVE THE PEDAL PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN IN TUSCALOOSA, AL ON 08/21/17 TO CORRECT THE CVT TRANSMISSION OPEN RECALL. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM DUE TO THEM NOT FINDING ANY CODES AND TEST DRIVING THE CAR. I THOUGHT THE TRANSMISSION HAD BLOWN UP ON 08/21/17 AND HAD TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER (MY SON WAS IN THE CAR) ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE UNDERGOING AN OIL CHANGE, THE DEALER (MODERN NISSAN) COULD NOT OPEN THE HOOD. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE HOOD LATCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT REFUSED TO HAVE THE REPAIR COMPLETED DUE TO THE VEHICLE SHARING SIMILAR SYMPTOMS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V029000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT RECALLS WERE VIN SPECIFIC AND THE CONTACT'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000.
WHEN DROPPING A FRIEND OFF AT HIS HOUSE HE UNBUCKLED HIS SEATBELT GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND THE RED SEAT BELT LIGHT CAME ON ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT REMAINED OFF SHOWING THE AIRBAG WAS STILL ALIVE RATHER THAN LIGHTING UP TO SHOW THAT IT IS OFF. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE DEALER TO REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER TWICE TO CHECK WHY WHEN A PASSENGER SET IN THE SEAT THE AIRBAG DID NOT SHOW ACTIVE COMMA AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG HAS BEEN REPLACED BY NISSAN FOR TEST PURPOSES. THE WARNING SYSTEMS REMAINED ON AS IF SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT UNTIL I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT AT A LATER TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (NEMET NISSAN, 153-12 HILLSIDE AVENUE, JAMAICA, NY 11432) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE DEALER CLAIMED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY ORDERED THE DEALER TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO NEMET NISSAN AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AGAIN AND WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO ROCKAWAY NISSAN IN INWOOD, NY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE SECOND DEALER YET FOR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE AND OFFERED TO PAY ONLY 80% OF THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
2015 NISSAN ALTIMA WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON 12 JUNE 2017. WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE, APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH TRAFFIC CAME TO A COMPLETE AND SUDDEN STOP.THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT WAS CRUSHED BACK ABOUT A FOOT. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THIS ACCIDENT. LUCKILY THERE WERE NO SERIOUS INJURIES OTHER THAN SEAT BELT BRUISES. INSURANCE ADJUSTER STATED HE WAS VERY SURPRISED AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE IS BEING HELD PENDING INVESTIGATION BY NISSAN. I BELIEVE THE NHTSA SHOULD INVESTIGATE ALSO BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED.
MANUFACTURE DATE 10/14. VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AFTER AN OIL CHANGE WITH FILTER. ALSO THE CABIN AIR FILTER WAS REPLACED. THE ENGINE AIR FILTER WAS NOT REPLACED. 1. OWNER LEFT SHOP AND CALLED ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER SAYING THAT SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. TWO TECHNICIANS WENT TO THE SCENE AND FRONT OF VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS A TOTAL LOSS AND PASSENGER AREA OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WAS ALSO MELTED AWAY. 2. AFTER RESEARCHING FOR THIS YEAR/ MAKE AND MODEL THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL OTHER CARS WITH MYSTERIOUS FIRES. 3. DISCUSSED WITH TECHNICIAN AND THE ONLY ITEM THAT WAS

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (NISSAN OF BOWIE, 2200 CRAIN HWY, BOWIE, MD) WHERE THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG SENSOR FLASHED OFF AND ON WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. HEADLIGHT LOW BEAMS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. CAN BARELY SEE THE ROAD. WHEN THERE IS A CAR BEHIND, LIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT A SHADOW IS CAST IN FROMT OF THE CAR. ATTEMPTED NEW HALOGEN AND LED BULBS WITH NO SUCCESS.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the driver's side headlight was becoming significantly dim. The dealer was notified of the failure and diagnosed that the driver's side headlight bulb needed to be replaced. The dealer notified the manufacturer for repair assistance and was awaiting a response. The contact also notified the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
TAKING CAR IN AGAIN 3RD TIME / SOUR SMELL FROM VENTS. HAPPENS EVERY TIME I WASH CAR OR IT RAINS. VERY STRONG, FIRST DAY SMELLS LIKE WET DOG, DAY 2SMELLS SOUR.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 63,000 MILES. VEHICLE STATIONARY AT STOP LIGHT AND WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN GAS PEDAL PRESSED. NO WARNINGS OR ENGINE LIGHTS WERE LIT. THE TRANSMISSION JUST FAILS WITHOUT WARNING.
MY VEHICLE GOES INTO "LIMP MODE" (THE DEALERSHIP USED THIS TERM) SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING 35 MPH AND SUDDENLY IT WON'T GO EVEN 20 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 5 OCCASIONS. MOST RECENTLY LAST WEEK. 1ST TIME AT 20K MILES I HAD THE VALVE BODY REPLACED, 2ND TIME THE CVT WAS REPROGRAMMED, 3RD TIME THERE WERE NO CODES, 4TH TIME THE CVT WAS REPROGRAMMED AND NOW 5TH TIME AT 51K MILES THE VALVE BODY IS BEING REPLACED AGAIN. I NOTICED THE ISSUE STARTING WHEN THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING OR EVEN FROM A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO INVESTIGATE (THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I ASKED THEM TO INVESTIGATE). THIS FINAL TIME I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE GETTING A NEW TRANSMISSION SINCE 7 CODES SHOWED ON THE SCAN BUT THEY JUST CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THEY REPLACED THE VALVE BODY AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, I CHANGED LANE TO PASS OTHER CAR AND WHEN PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL RPM WAS GOING UP, BUT I WAS NOT GAINING MORE SPEED. I WAS DOING 60 MPH AND I COULD NOT MAKE THE CAR TO GO UP FIVE MORE MPH AND REVS WERE GOING UP.
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH LACK OF ACCELERATION WHEN IN TRAFFIC, CAR WILL NOT MOVE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PUSHED NO RESPONSE OTHER THAN A TURTLE CRAWL. BECAME VERY RANDOM IN BEGINNING ROUGHLY 2-4 MONTHS AGO PROGRESSING INTO DAILY TO AND FROM WORK, INITIALLY IT SEEMED TO BE MORE FREQUENT WHEN CAR WAS HOT OR AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURES AND NOW IS STILL SPORADIC BUT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF OPERATION. THE NEXT ISSUE IS THE HORN WILL NOT SOUND UNLESS IT IS HIT IN A VERY SPECIFIC WAY, I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES AND THE INABILITY TO REMEMBER HOW TO HIT THE SWEET SPOT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. LATER TODAY I WILL BE MAKING VIDEOS OF THIS DEFAULT AND THEN TAKING TO DEALER FOR THE SECOND TIME TO HAVE REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
PERSISTANT POOR LIGHT PRODUCTION OF LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS/ HEAD LAMP PROJECTORS. HAVE REPLACED HEAD LAMP BULBS WITH STONGER H11 BULBS, INCLUDING LED AND YOU CAN BARELY SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT. CLEARLY THE PROJECTOR DETERIORATES OR FAILS AS CAR AGES. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD, AS YOU CANNOT CLEARLY SEE THE ROAD UNLESS YOU USE HI BEAM, WHICH IS NOT PRACTICAL. EVEN WITH FOG LAMPS TURNED ON, FORWARD VIEW IS DIFFICULT IN NIGHT AND ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS IN POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS. THIS IS WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT NIGHT, POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS, DUSK, DAWN, LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS.
I HAVE A SERVICE CAMPAIGN TO FIX MY CVT. ALSO, MY CAR WAS VANDALIZED AND THE FRONT EMBLEM WAS STOLEN AND THE BOTTOM CASE HAS BEEN LOOSENED.
WATER LEAKING INTO CABIN AT FIREWALL - PREVIOUSLY NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER FLOOR MAT AND CARPETING WAS DAMP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. APPLYING WATER TO THE WINDSHIELD RESULTED IN WATER DRIPPING DOWN THE INSIDE FIREWALL AND DRIPPING ONTO THE FLOOR MAT AND CARPETING. CURRENTLY AT DEALER BEING EVALUATED IF THIS IS A FAILED PART OR A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. SINCE CAR CABINS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE IN A WET ENVIRONMENT, THIS MAY LEAD TO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND MOLD/MILDEW GROWTH WITHIN THE CAR'S INTERIOR. HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CALL NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPT TODAY 1ST ATTEMPT RECEIVED MESSAGE TO CALL BACK DURING NORMAL WORKING HOURS, ALTHOUGH IS WAS, AND 2ND TIME WAS ON HOLD FOR OVER 26 MINUTES WITH NO ANSWER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WINDSOR NISSAN (590 US-130, EAST WINDSOR, NJ 08520, (609) 448-1411) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 33864131 AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
EXPLODING SUNROOF. WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE SUNROOF EXPLODED EMITTING A LOUD NOISE AND RAINING GLASS SHARDS AND SPLINTERS INTO THE THE VEHICLE. THESE SHARDS AND GLASS SPLINTERS COVERED THE DRIVER, AND VEHICLE OCCUPANTS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND IN THE REAR SEAT OF THE VEHICLE. THE PERSON SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT HAD GLASS IN HER EYE AND HAIR. THE PASSENGER IN THE REAR SEAT HAD GLASS SLIVERS IN HER HAIR AND ALL OVER HER CLOTHING. NOTE: THE PHOTOS SHOW THE INTERIOR SHADE CLOSED. AT THE TIME OF THE EXPLOSION THE INTERIOR SHADE WAS OPEN ALLOWING THE GLASS TO BLOW INTO THE CAR INTERIOR. NEW ENGLAND CABLE NEWS HAD A "CONSUMER ALERT" SEGMENT ON EXPLODING SUNROOFS AIR DATE APRIL 12TH, 2016. IN THERE SEGMENT THEY INDICATED THE NHTSA WAS INVESTIGATING KIA AND OTHER CAR MANUFACTURES FOR SUNROOF DEFECTS. SAFETY GLASS "THE SAME MATERIAL USED IN AUTO WINDSHIELDS" SHOULD BE USED IN ALL FUTURE SUNROOF DESIGNS. THIS WOULD PREVENT GLASS FORM ENTERING THE VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF A FAILURE/DEFECT.
FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG OCCUPANT SENSOR - PREVIOUSLY HAD DEALER REPROGRAM SENSOR AS THE AIR BAG OFF LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE EVEN WHEN A PASSENGER WAS PRESENT. THIS SITUATION STILL SPORADICALLY OCCURS. HAVE VEHICLE AT NISSAN DEALER TO RE-PROGRAM AGAIN. THIS WILL MAKE THE 2ND ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THIS SAFETY PROBLEM. WAS INFORMED THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A TEST REQUIREMENT TO PERFORM AFTER THE RECALIBRATION. WILL ATTEMPT TO CAPTURE NEXT OCCURRENCE BY PHOTO.

WHEN TRYING TO MAKE A TURN I RANDOMLY LOSE ALL POWER STEERING. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE I'VE OWNED THE CAR. I AM A SECOND OWNER AND HAVE DRIVEN IT 4,000 MILES.
WHEN USING SPEED CONTROL, THE VEHICLE SURGES ON SLIGHT DOWNHILL INCLINES. IT REPEATEDLY BEHAVES AS IF THE ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED THEN THE BRAKE.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON PASSENGER SIDE SEAT INDICATING AIR BAG OFF,WITH PASSENGER SITTING IN SEAT(PASSENGER WEIGHS OVER 115 #. I HAVE BROUGHT CAR IN FOR SEAT AND AIR BAG RECALL! BROUGHT IN 2 MORE TIMES FOR SAME PROBLEM. STILL SAME PROBLEMS. CONTACTED NISSAN CORP AND TOLD PROBLEM. AS TOLD BY NISSAN REP THAT THEY SPOKE WITH DEALERSHIP THAT ALL WAS DONE TO CORRECT PROBLEM AND KNOWN OF ANYTHING THAT THEY COULD DO FOR PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM DOES THIS ERRATICALLY WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. I M AM AFRAID TO USE AUTO WITH PASS IN SEAT NOT KNOWING IF AIR BAG WOULD WORK IN CASE OF A ACCIDENT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
NIISSAN HAS TRIED TO REPAIR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG FOUR(4) TIMES. INTERMITTENTLY TURNS OFF WITH PASSENGER IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THEY HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, BUT WILL NOT TAKE CAR BACK. THIS WAS A RECALL ALREADY ISSUED. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE MY RENTAL CAR IS A 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA & IT DOES THE SAME THING. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION OR PARKED & RUNNING. THIS IS A PROBLEM SINCE JUNE 2016. ALL VIDEOES ARE TOO LONG TO ADD.
