HUBAND WAS DRIVING DOWN M IN STREET WHEN CAR LOST POWER AND DIED OUT.
TAKATA RECALL. THIS VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED IN AN ACCIDENT ON JANUARY 17, 2017. THROUGH THE FAULT OF THE DRIVER, EVEN THOUGH ALL OF THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF, THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE CAR. CITIZENS HANOVER COMPANY HAD IT TOTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. .UPDATED 11/09/17 *BF UPDATED 8/21/18*JB
POWER STEERING LEAKS CONTIUOSLY.
TAKATA INFLATOR. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM A NISSAN DEALER ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. IT STATED THAT I SHOULD BRING IN MY VEHICLE TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER AIR. WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD BE CALLED BY THE DEALER WHEN THE THEY RECEIVE THE AIR BAG FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE DEALER. WHEN I CHECKED NHTSA WEBSITE, IT DID NOT SHOW MY VEHICLE AS A RECALLED VEHICLE. I AM CONFUSED. IS THE DEALER BEING HONEST. PREVIOUSLY, THE DEALER HAD REQUESTED THAT I BRING IN MY VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION I WAS ALSO TOLD TO BRING IN MY VEHICLE FOR A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE REPAIR WAS PROPERLY COMPLETED. WHAT ACTION CAN I TAKE IN REFERENCE TO THE MOST RECENT REQUEST TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG? THE DATE I RECEIVED IS APPROXIMATE.
PUSH BUTTON START DOESN'T WORK DUE TO FAULTY STEERING WHEEL LOCK SYSTEM. CAR WILL NOT START UNLESS I USE REMOTE START, OPEN AND CLOSE DOOR THEN HIT BRAKE.
TAKATA RECALL- THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON OCCASIONALLY WHEN AN ADULT IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE BEEN IN TWICE. MY CAR HAS LESS THAN 8,000 MILES. NOT HAVING A LOT OF FAITH IN THE AIRBAGS RIGHT NOW. *TR
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DIMMED OVER THE TIME SINCE I BOUGHT CAR, DRIVING IN NIGHT VERY UNSAFE.
WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY WHEN MY SUN ROOF EXPLODED A VERY LOUD BOOM.GLASS FLEW OUTWARD CAUSING THE GLASS TO SCRATCH THE ROOF AND TRUNK. WENT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND TALKED TO MANGER AND EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. HE TOLD ME I COULD NOT PROVE THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THERE WAS NOBODY AROUND ME AT THE TIME OF EXPLOSION IT ALSO WAS NOT HOT. IT WAS AT 9:00 AM IN THE MORNING AND WAS 68 DEGREES. MY CAR IS GARAGE KEPT. THIS WEEK OUR LOCAL NEWS STATION HAD A SEGMENT ABOUT SUN ROOFS EXPLODING ON NISSANS WITH OVER 100 REPORTS OF THE VERY SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO MY CAR. I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN TO FILE A CLAIM ON MY INSURANCE AND PAY MY 500.00 DOLLAR DEDUCTIBLE. I FEEL THAT THIS WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. I AM UPSET THAT NISSAN DISMISSED ME KNOWING THEY ALREADY BEEN HAVING COMPLAINTS ON THIS SAME PROBLEM. *TR
MY LOW BEAMS ARE SO LOW IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE ON AT NIGHT. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE. IF I DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS WHICH IS NOT SAFE FOR OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. I LIVE IN FLORIDA & IT RAINS A LOT. I CAN'T SEE WITH MY LOW BEAMS AND OTHER DRIVERS CAN NOT SEE ME. I AM AFRAID I MAY GET IN AN ACCIDENT IF ONLY USING MY LOW BEAMS OR RECEIVE A TICKET FOR DRIVING WITH MY HIGH BEAMS.
I OWN A 2015 ALTIMA. I NOTICED I WAS HAVING TROUBLE SEEING AT NIGHT, SO I ASKED MY MECHANIC HOW MUCH NEW HEADLIGHTS WOULD COST. WHILE THEY WERE LOOKING OVER THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY THEY NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS APPEARED TO BE MELTING THE ASSEMBLY, CAUSING THE LIGHT TO DISTORT; HENCE MY TROUBLE SEEING AT NIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR TO MILFORD NISSAN WHO LOOKED IT OVER AND CHECKED ALL THE WIRING BUT SAID THAT THE DISTORTION WAS NOT THEIR ISSUE AS THE CAR HAS 48,000 MILES ON IT AND IS NO LONGER PROTECTED. I STATED THIS MADE NO SENSE TO ME AS THE CAR IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD, AND WHAT EXACTLY DOES MILEAGE HAVE TO DO WITH HOW ELL THE HEADLIGHTS WORK. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT. AGAIN I ASKED FOR MORE CLARIFICATION AND STATED WOULD CONTACT NISSAN USA, AND AGAIN TOLD THIS WOULD REQUIRE A WHOLE NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND THEY WERE NOT PAYING FOR IT. I DID AND THEY INVESTIGATED, AND SAID THE ISSUE WAS LOOKED AT BY THEIR DEALER AND IT FELL UNDER WEAR AND TEAR AND WAS NOT COVERED. I ASKED HOW EXACTLY THIS FELL UNDER WEAR AND TEAR AS HEADLIGHT AND MILEAGE ARE NOT CONNECTED, AND I AM UNABLE TO SEE CLEARLY AT NIGHT, AND THIS IS A NISSAN BUILD ISSUE, AND THEREFORE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT AND THE CASE WAS CLOSED. I ASKED FOR SOMETHING IN WRITING AS I CANNOT SEE AT NIGHT AND WANT SOMETHING SAYING NISSAN LOOKED AT IT AND SATED THEIR WAS NOT A PROBLEM WORTH FIXING ON THEIR END, AND THAT YOU WOULD NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY. MY WIFE AND I LOOKED ON LINE AND NOTICED THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES WITH NISSAN VEHICLES AND HEADLIGHT VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. I ALSO INCLUDED PICTURES OF THE HEADLIGHT AND YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE HEAT HAS CLEARED A PATH AND DISTORTED THE LIGHT. THANK YOU TAKING THE TIME TO REVIEW MY CASE.
THE FRONT HEAD LIGHTS HAVE BECOME DIM TO THE POINT WHERE MY VISION IS IMPAIRED DURING NIGHT TIME DRIVING.
MY 2015 ALTIMA AIRBAG LIGHTS WERE ON, I BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR SERVICING ON DECEMBER 23RD TO COVER THE RECALL. ON THE 29TH WITH WIFE IN CAR AIRBAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON DASHBOARD. SENSOR DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY IN SEAT. WIFE WEIGHS OVER 120 POUNDS. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE RECALL, THEIR CAR NEVER RECEIVES THE UPDATE AND CUSTOMERS HAVE TO GO BACK IN REPEATEDLY AND THE PROBLEM IS NEVER RESOLVED. SO AIRBAGS WON'T DEPLOY NOW WHEN MY WIFE IS A PASSENGER. NISSAN IS NOT REPLACING EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO FIX THE PROBLEM. FOR SOME THE REPROGRAMMING WORKS. FOR OTHERS THEY NEED COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRONICS. MY CAR IS GOING BACK IN FOR WHAT THEY CALL "SERVICING" AS THE RECALL WAS ALREADY PREFORMED ON THE VEHICLE.
VEHICLE HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATED. GEARS STICK OCCASIONALLY. SMOKE SMELL OCCURRING. VEHICLE SEEMS TO GET WORSE WHEN GOING DOWN A HILL. WILL NOT GO HIGHER THAN 10 MPH WHEN THIS OCCURS.
HOOD FLIES UP RANDOMLY DUE TO LATCH RECALL. RESULTED IN SCRATCHES AS I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WENT TO TWO DEALERSHIPS TO HAVE THE ISSUE RESOLVED. NISSAN REFUSED TO COVER DAMAGES STATING THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO PROVE ITS ASSOCIATED WITH THE INCIDENT. I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM CANNON NISSAN IN JACKSON, MS. I TOOK MY CAR TO GREAT RIVER NISSAN IN NATCHEZ, MS WHERE I LIVE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WON'T FIX MY RECALLS SINCE I DIDN'T PURCHASE MY CAR FROM THEM, SO I'M STILL RIDING AROUND WITH THE RECALLS UNTIL I CAN GET TO JACKSON, MS WHICH IS 2.5 HOURS AWAY.
WHILE DRIVING IN ANY CONDITION OR WEATHER, MY CAR SHUTTERS AND MAKE A LOUD VIBRATION NOISE WHICH IS ALSO FELT INSIDE THE CAR WHENEVER THE RPM REACHES 2000 RPM. IT ONLY DOES IT ON EXACTLY 2000. ABOVE OR BELOW ITS FINE. IVE BEEN TO TWO DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIPS FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS OF OWNING IT AND THEY TELL ME ITS NORMAL. IN COLDER WEATHER ITS A LOT WORSE. YOU CAN PLAY WITH THE RPM AND EVERYTIME IT WILL VIBRATE AND YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL IT AT 2000 RPM. BUT BOTH DEALERS SAY THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING AND THAT THEY DON'T NOTICE IT. THAT WORRIES ME WHEN A 5 YEAR OLD ASKS ME WHAT THAT NOISE AND FEELING IS BUT A CERTIFIED MECHANIC CANT FIND THIS PROBLEM. ITS LOUD AND CLEARLY YOU CAN FEEL IT. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. ALL I WANT IS FOR IT TO BE FIXED. IF NOT I'M NEVER BUYING ANOTHER NISSAN PRODUCT. IVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BRAND AND IVE OWNED A LOT OF BRANDS. NISSAN NEEDS TO FIX THIS AND SPEND MORE MONEY ON TRAINING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 YEARS THAT IVE OWNED THIS CAR.

THE HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM AND DIFFICULT TO SEE IN NIGHTS. I FEEL EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHTS. NISSAN DOESN'T HAVE A WAY TO FIX. A FULL REPLACEMENT WILL COST SEVERAL 1000 DOLLARS BUT NOT REPORTED TO YIELD RESULTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT AN ADEQUATE REPAIR FOR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLAY NISSAN DEALER, IN NORWOOD, MA WHERE THE TECHNICIAN TOLD THE CONTACT "WE DO NOT WANTED TO SEE YOUR FACE AROUND HERE AGAIN.' THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,108.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR NISSAN ALTIMA 2015 IN CA WHEN THE CAR WITHOUT WARNING STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC . SHE HAD DRIVEN TWO BLOCKS WHEN THIS HAPPENED.THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE CAR WAS NOT RESPONDING. THE BATTERY WAS APPARENTLY WORKING BECAUSE THE RADIO WAS STILL WORKING. SHE OF COURSE COULD NOT MOVE OUT OF THE LANES.

NISSAN DEALER PERFORMED TIRE ROTATION AFTER THAT TPMS LIGHT STRART TO SHOW UP, TIRE PRESSURE WAS 33PSI ACORDING TO NISSAN DEALER ,NISSAN MANUAL WAS 30PSI. THE ERROR CONTINUE NISSA ASUME THAT LIGHT SHOWED UP IN EVERY CAR WHEN IS COLD SO I SHOULDNT BE WORRY. I TOLD THEM SO ANNOYED THAT I AM WITH THE LIGHT BECAUSE IF LATER ON I HAVE AN PROBLEM I WOULDNT KNOW. I ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE SESNOR RESET OR CHECK THE TIRES. THEY WONT DO ANYTHING THEY DONT LISTEN TO WHAT I TOLD THEM.THE LIGHT WILL SHOW UP WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOVEMENT AND STAY FOR A FEW HOURS AND DISAPPER AND WILL SHOW UP AGAIN .

WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER (MY WIFE) RIDES IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIRBAG OFF LIGHT COMES ON. SHE WEIGHTS 107. NISSAN HAS LOOKED AT IT AND SAYS NO PROBLEM FOUND.THE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND WHEN STOPPED. THIS MEANS THAT MY WIFE DOES NOT HAVE A WORKING AIRBAG IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. *TR
I HAVE BEEN IN A FEW ACCIDENTS AND MY AIRBAGS DON'T WORK.
AIRBAG LIGHT STILL ON AFTER RECALL. FOUND AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT CODE STORED ABNORMAL VOLTAGE AFTER AIRBAG REPROGRAM WAS PERFORMED. REPLACED AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT AND TESTED SYSTEM AIRBAG LIGHT NO LONGER ON.. PER DEALER 9/2/16. 10/27/16 I TOOK BACK TO DEALER AIRBAG LIGHT STILL NOT COMING OFF WITH ADULT PASSENGER MOST OF THE TIME . SOMETIMES IT WOULD WORK OTHER TIMES LIGHT TELLING AIRBAG WAS OFF WOULD NOT WORK. IT'S BACK AT DEALER AND ONLY HAS 10,000 MILES. I'M REALLY CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY.
UNFORTUNATELY , THIS IS MY SECOND ALTIMA 3.5. IN 2015 NISSAN REPLACED MY 2013 ALTIMA 3.5. I REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE VEHICLE HAVING STUTTERING AND JERKING ISSUES CAUSING ME TO FEEL UNSAFE WHILE DRIVING.WHILE DRIVING IF I HAD TO DECELERATE IT WOULD HESITATE AND JERK OR PULL WHILE I WAS ACCELERATING. THIS MAINLY HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY BUT WOULD HAPPEN OCCASIONALLY WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS.AS A MOM WITH KIDS I FEEL THE CAR IS UNSAFE AND WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE TO ME BE INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES SINCE OCTOBER2015 AND NOW IT IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP ON ITS 4TH ATTEMPT.I HAVE CURRENTLY REQUESTED FOR NISSAN TO HELP ME GET INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE, OR REPLACE THE VEHICLE. *TR
I BOUGHT MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 3000 MILES. PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW IN 0CTOBER THAT SAME YEAR. ABOUT A YEAR AFTER I NOTICED MY HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT AS STRONG AS THEY WERE BEFORE. I FIGURED THE BULBS WERE BEGINNING TO BURN OUT. SO I UPGRADED THEM TO AN LED H11 BULB AS THAT IS THE BULB THE MANUAL SAYS IS REQUIRED. THESE BULBS WERE NOT OVERLY EXPENSIVE BUT THEY WEREN'T CHEAP EITHER. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING. ABOUT ANOTHER YEAR LATER. THEY BEGAN TO GO DIM AS WELL. AT THIS POINT IT'S 2018 AND I CANNOT DRIVE AT NIGHT ANYMORE. REPLACING THE ASSEMBLY THROUGH NISSAN WHICH THEY RECOMMEND BUT WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM WOULD COST ME ABOUT $1000+THEIR TAXES. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH THIS VEHICLE ON THE ROAD. VISIBILITY AT NIGHT IS ABOUT CLOSE TO ZERO. I CAN'T EVEN PICK UP MY FAMILY AND GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE IT JUST ISN'T SAFE TO DO SO. I HAVE TO MAKE TRIPS DURING THE DAYLIGHT AND BEFORE IT GETS DARK TO AVOID DRIVING DANGEROUSLY INTO THE NIGHT. I WEAR GLASSES AND CONTACTS AND I USE OTHERS DRIVING NEAR AND THEIR HEADLIGHTS TO SEE BETTER THAN MY OWN CAR. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. I HAVE CALLED NISSAN TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND THEY WANT TO RUN A DIAGNOSTIC AND POSSIBLY REPLACE THEM FOR OVER $1200 WHICH INCLUDES THE DIAGNOSTIC. THEY NEED TO BE LOOKED INTO QUICKLY BECAUSE MY VEHICLE IS ALMOST PAID OFF FOR BUT IS TOO DANGEROUS TO EVEN DRIVE ANYMORE. IT'S A CHEAPLY MADE VEHICLE AND IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO PUT SOMETHING ON A MARKET LIKE THIS. HOW HAVE THERE BEEN NO RECALLS YET FOR THIS? THIS IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE NHTSA.
I KEEP READING THE SAME EXACT STORY AS MINE, YET NO RECALLS OR HELP FOR THIS PROBLEM ON SO MANY NISSAN ALTIMAS. SITTING STILL AT A REDLIGHT, LIGHT TURNS GREEN, YOUR FOOT IS ON ACCELERATOR BUT NOTHING HAPPENS FOR FIVE TO TEN SECONDS. FINALLY THE ENGINE BEGINS TO REV. EXTREMELY SCARY WHEN TURNING IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC. CAN ALSO HAPPEN WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TACHOMETER RACES, ENGINE RACES, AND WONT COME DOWN UNTIL YOU PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND IMMEDIATELY TURN IT BACK ON. THIS RESETS SOMETHING AND EVERYTHING IS OKAY THEN. TURNING IT BACK ON RESETS THE PROBLEM SO IT'S OBVIOUSLY A SIMPLE ISSUE BUT IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS COME CLOSE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OF BEING IN A SERIOUS WRECK DUE TO THIS PERSISTENT PROBLEM. I'M SHOCKED THAT NISSAN HASN'T HAD A RECALL ON THIS. I READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THERE IS A RECOMMENDATION THAT THE VALVE BODY BE REPLACED, BUT THIS IS NOT IN EFFECT FOR MY PARTICULAR VIN NUMBER. YOU ASKED BELOW WHEN THIS HAPPENED. IT HAS HAPPENED EVER SINCE I HAD THE VEHICLE FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. SPORADICALLY, MAYBE ONCE EVERY TWO TO THREE WEEKS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT SUFFERED MINOR BRUISING DUE TO THE DOOR KNOCKING HIM DOWN WHEN THE VEHICLE REVERSED. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,098. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. UPDATED 09/22/17*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. *JS
RECALLED DUE TO THE AIR BAG LIGHT NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WENT INTO DEALER AND WAS FIXED. 3 TIMES SINCE THEN THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED. DEALER FEELS IT'S NOT A PROBLEM!
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE ENTIRELY INADEQUATE TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT LIGHT INTENSITY AND FAIL TO SAFELY ILLUMINATE THE STREET AHEAD OF YOU. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, WHILE RAINING, OR UNDER ANY LOW VISIBILITY CONDITIONS SINCE YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SEE OBJECTS. THIS ISSUE WAS NOT PRESENT WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW, BUT BECAME A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD AROUND 50,000 MILES. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS AT NIGHT TO BE ABLE TO SAFELY SEE. SOMETIMES, WHEN I SWITCH TO LOW FOR AN ONCOMING VEHICLE, I SUDDENLY FIND MYSELF DRIVING COMPLETELY WITHOUT SUFFICIENT LIGHT.
AFTER THE AIRBAG MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED SO THE LIGHT WOULD COME ON WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS EMPTY MY BROTHER WHO WEIGHS 240 POUNDS SAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AFTER I STARTED THE CAR AND WE DROVE AWAY THE LIGHT DID NOT GO OUT UNTIL 20 MINUTES PAST. MY CONCERN IS DOES THE SYSTEM THINK HE IS UNDER 50 POUNDS?

WHILE PRESSING GAS MY RPM GOES UP AND DOWN REALLY FAST EVEN WHEN I'M AT A STEADY PACE, THE VEHICLE VIBRATES AND JERKS WHILE AND MOTION AND HAS SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE DRIVING. THE VIBRATION OCCURS WHILE IN MOTION. ONCE WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WOULDN'T DRIVE OVER 20MPH THEN IT SHUT OFF. OFTEN TIMES WHEN I MAKE A COMPLETE STOP THEN PROCEED TO GO THE VEHICLE DOES A HARD JERK. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I'VE CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO ASSIST DESPITE THE FACT THAT I NOTICE ON DIFFERENT FORUMS LOTS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE EXACT SAME ISSUE STARTING WITH THE 2013 MODEL AND 2015. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS AND CAN REALLY BECOME DEADLY FOR CONSUMERS WHILE RANDOMLY SHUTTING OFF WHILE IN MOTION. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE WITH 13000 MILES AND NOW ITS AT 25000 THEIRS NO REASON THOUSANDS OF OTHERS SHOULD BE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE EXACT MODEL AS MINE. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS NOW.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 ALTIMA ON A HIGHWAY AND THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED AS IN A STALL WITH CARS BEHIND ME SWERVING OFF THE HIGHWAY TO AVOID HITTING ME. THE CAR HAD ON OIL AND THE OIL WARNING LIGHT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL MY CAR STOPPED, THEN IT SAID WARNING LOW OIL PRESSURE. I HAD JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE AT PORT CITY NISSAN, PORTSMOUTH, NH, AND THE SERVICE PERSON APPARENTLY DID NOT REATTACH THE OIL FILTER CORRECTLY, CROSS-THREADING THE FILTER RESULTING IN THE OIL LEAKING OUT WITHOUT ME KNOWING. AGAIN, MY CONCERN IS THERE WAS NO WARNING BEFORE MY CAR STALLED AND STOPPED ON A HIGHWAY. NO OIL PRESSURE LIGHT OR LOW OIL ALERT, NOTHING UNTIL I WAS ALMOST IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH THE AC IN THE ON POSITION, THE AC WOULD START TO EMIT A STRONG CHEMICAL TOXIC ODOR. THE ODOR IS SO STRONG , IT STAYS ON YOUR CLOTHING UNTIL THEY ARE WASHED. THE ODOR ALSO CAUSING SHORTNESS OF BREATH, WATER EYES, AND MAKES YOUR CHEST HURT AFTER IT HAS BEEN INHALED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. YOU CAN ALSO TASTE THE ODOR IN YOUR MOUTH AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE VEHICLE FOR SOME TIME. YOU COULD SMELL THE ODOR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE AS WELL DUE TO HOW STRONG IT IS.THE STRONG TOXIC CHEMICAL ODOR WAS MAKING MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER COUGH AND SNEEZE WHEN SHE WAS IN THE CAR. SHE WOULD JUST KEEP RUBBING HER EYES. THE CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO THE DEALERSHIP IN WHICH THEY HAD IT FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK, THEY SAID THE ODOR WAS NORMAL AND WOULD GO AWAY. I CALL NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND EXPLAINED THE HEALTH CONCERNS FOR MY CHILD IN HALING THE ODOR COMING FROM THE AC VENTS. I RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY STATED THE STRONG ODOR WAS DUE TO THE PLASTIC IN THE CAR AND BECAUSE THE CAR IS BLACK IN COLOR. THE CAR ONLY HAS 4,500 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT BE EMITTING ANY TOXIC CHEMICAL ODOR FROM THE AC VENTS. INHALING THE CHEMICAL THAT IS COMING FROM THE AC UNIT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS FOR MY CHILDREN AND THAT IS VERY CONCERNING. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PLASTIC THAT WOULD GIVE OFF THIS TYPE OF ODOR IN ANY VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER AGREED THAT THE CAR SHOULD NOT SMELL THE WAY IT DOES, BUT NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS CLAIMS IT IS NORMAL AND WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY. THE ISSUE ALSO CAUSES MY FRONT WINDSHIELD TO FOG UP SO BAD IN THE MORNING YOU CANNOT SEE ON COMING TRAFFIC. THE DEFROST, AC, OR HAVING THE WINDOWS DOWN DOES NOT HELP WITH THE FOG ISSUE ON THE WINDSHIELD. HOW CAN THIS BE NORMAL FOR A BRAND NEW CAR WITH 4,500 MILES? DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR FOR 3 WEEKS AND STILL CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM.
CAR FAILS TO ACCELERATE AFTER A TOTAL STOP AND SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. ABSOLUTELY NO POWER. THE GAS PEDAL CAN BE PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE VEHICLE BEGINS MOVING. THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED GRADUALLY. AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF KEEPING THE PEDAL ON THE FLOOR, THE RPM WILL SPIKE AND THE CAR WILL SLOWLY BEGIN MOVING FORWARD. AFTER BACKING OFF THE PEDAL COMPLETELY, THE CAR CAN BE DRIVEN NORMALLY ONCE THE ENGINE SLOWS DOWN AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS BACK. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 80-85 DEGREES OUTSIDE, CLEAR, CAR WAS AT A SLIGHT INCLINE GOING UP A HILL. PASSENGER AIR BAG TURNED OFF A FEW TIMES SINCE NEW. TOOK IN TO DEALER FOR RECALL TO REPROGRAM. WAS TOLD LIGHT WOULD BE ON UNTIL AN ADULT SAT IN THE SEAT. SEVERAL ADULTS HAVE SAT IN SEAT WITH ADEQUATE WEIGHT TO SENSE PRESENCE. AIR BAG IS STILL OFF AND HAS BEEN OFF SINCE REPROGRAMMED. DEALER SHOULD HAVE HAD PERSON SIT IN SEAT TO VERIFY OPERATION PRIOR TO RELEASING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE TO CUSTOMER. HAVE NOT RETURNED TO THE DEALER.
