The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds at night, the headlights were extremely dim. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the headlights needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR MY 2015 ALTIMA FOR THE OCS MODULE. THIS SHUTS OFF THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG IF THE PERSON SITTING IN THE SEAT ISN'T HEAVY ENOUGH TO BE AN ADULT. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER AND THEY REPROGRAMMED IT ACCORDING TO THE RECALL DIRECTIONS. TWO DAYS LATER I WAS RIDING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND NOTICED THE LIGHT WAS ON THAT TELLS YOU THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT MIGHT NOT HAVE TAKEN THE WHOLE PROGRAM AND THEY WOULD DO IT AGAIN. WHEN I TOOK IT IN THE SERVICE PERSON WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT OTHER THAN TO SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND TELL ME IT WAS FINE BECAUSE THE LIGHT DIDN'T COME ON. IN THE YEAR I OWNED IT THE LIGHT ONLY CAME ON TWICE WITH AN ADULT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BEFORE THE RECALL. THE SERVICE PERSON EVEN TRIED TO TELL ME THE AIR BAGS WILL WORK WITH THE LIGHT ON SAYING THEY ARE OFF. THAT'S NOT WHAT THE PAPERWORK SAYS THAT THE SAME DEALERSHIP GAVE ME WHEN THEY DID THE RECALL WORK. SO NOW I'M LEFT WITH A CAR THAT SOMEONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT COULD GET INJURED OR KILLED IF THERE'S AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAG IS OFF BECAUSE THE OCS MODULE ISN'T READING THEIR WEIGHT RIGHT. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN NORTH AMERICA AND THEY TOLD ME AFTER CONFERRING WITH THE DEALER THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP ME. WHAT!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE KNEE, NECK, BACK, AND RIGHT HAND, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000 (AIR BAGS). AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT INDICATED THAT IT WAS DEACTIVATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE DEALER'S REPAIR CAUSED A FAILURE. PRIOR TO THE REPAIR, THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
AFTER THE CAR HAD ITS FIRMWARE UPDATED DUE TO A RECALL, WE NOTICED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SIGN LIT EVEN THOUGH THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED BY A 250 POUND MALE. THE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE WE WERE DRIVING, STAYED ON FOR A FEW MINUTES, AND THEN WENT OUT. IT HAS ONLY HAPPENED THIS ONE TIME.
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSATE HIGHWAY I77 IN JULY 2016 WITH AN OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE OF ~100F THE SUNROOF EXPLODED / SHATTERED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE INSIDE SLIDING PANEL WAS CLOSED SO NO PASSENGERS WERE AFFECTED BY FLYING GLASS.
WHILE DRIVING BACK HOME LAST MONTH (JULY 2016), SUDDENLY IT STARTED LOOSING POWER AND TACHOMETER STARTED SHOWING FLUCTUATION AT ALL RPM RANGE (0-4000+). IT WAS VERY SCARY MOMENT AS IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON MAJOR HIGHWAY WITH MEDIUM TO HIGH TRAFFIC FLOW (AFTER WORK HOURS 5 PM -7 PM) 65 MPH ZONE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER TO ADDRESS THE VIBRATION FAILURE; HOWEVER; THE FAILURE BECAME MORE AGGRESSIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500.
ON OR AROUND 6/20/16 I RECEIVED A NHTSA ANS NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) IN MY VEHICLE. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 6/28/16 WITH NISSAN OF UNION CITY, WHERE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE WAS SERVICED ON THE AFOREMENTIONED DATE, AND I WAS INFORMED BY NISSAN OF UNION CITY THAT THE RECALL MALFUNCTION WAS CORRECTED. HOWEVER, THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH. THE OCS HAS APPARENTLY BEEN TURNED OFF COMPLETELY, THEREBY CAUSING A SAFETY RISK TO MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS. WITH THIS FUNCTION TURNED OFF, THE VEHICLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM MAY NOT WORK. I NEED THE SYSTEM TO BE TESTED BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BEEN ASSURED OF THE SAFETY OF THE SYSTEM BY NISSAN OF UNION CITY AFTER THE ISSUE WAS ALLEGEDLY CORRECTED BY THEM. PLEASE INVESTIGATE MY COMPLAINT.
IN MY DRIVEWAY I PUT CAR IN PARK AND GOT OUT CLOSING DOOR. I THEN REALIZED THAT THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING, SO I OPENED THE DOOR AND REACHED IN TO PUSH THE OFF BUTTON. THE CAR STARTED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY IN REVERSE WITH ME CAUGHT BETWEEN THE DOOR AND BODY OF CAR. I WAS ALMOST RUN OVER. IT STOPPED BY HITTING INTO AN ISLAND OF TREES AND SHRUBS.
FIRST I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED, I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP AND IT WENT. I DROVE ABOUT 3 MILES AND IT WAS LIKE I COULDN'T STEER THE CAR AND AS I WAS PRESSING THE BRAKES THE CAR WAS LIKE ACCELERATING. I HAD TO REPEATEDLY PUSH ON BRAKES FOR THE CAR TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP. CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE BY IT SELF WHILE DRIVING, IT WAS A CLEAR NIGHT, I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. JUST STARTED BY ITS SELF.
Headlamps are very dim took vehicle for headlamps replacement, according to the dealership headlamps are okay. I am driving at night with basically no headlamps which makes it a safety hazard for me and other motor vehicles drivers.

THE CVT TRANSMISSION IN THE 2015 FRONTIER IS PROBABLY GOING TO FAIL AFTER 50,000 MILES. MOST OF THE TIME IT WORKS, BUT ON OCCASION IT STUTTERS ON ACCELERATION FROM A STANDSTILL, OR VIBRATES EXCESSIVELY IN GENERAL. WHEN, NOT IF, THE TRANSMISSION FAILS IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH BECAUSE THE CAR DID NOT ACCELERATE WHEN IT WAS EXPECTED TO.

BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR THE TRUNK RECALL IN APRIL. THE TRUNK OPENED AND WHAT SHUT EITHER THE RECALL WASN'T DONE AT ALL OR THE RECALL FIX DOES NOT WORK. ROYAL PALM BEACH NISSAN. ROYAL PALM BEACH, FLORIDA. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED HAD TO DRIVE HOME ALMOST 200 MILES WITH IT TIED AND CONSTANTLY TIGHTENING IT.
CAR WAS BROUGHT BRAND NEW. DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL ONE DAY MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE CAR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE DONE AT 3000MILES. WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL WENT STIFF AND HARD TO CONTROL. HE MANAGED TO DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP WITHOUT HURTING HIMSELF AND GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE ELECTRIC STEERING PUMP WAS THE PROBLEM AND CAR HAS TO STAY FOR 4 DAYS AND THEY CHANGED THE STEERING PUMP. A FEW DAYS AFTER, I WAS DRIVING THE CAR TO WORK WHICH IS ABOUT 2 MILES OR LESS AWAY FROM HOME, THE STEERING WHEEL WENT STIFF ON ME WHILE I WAS MAKING A TURN TO THE PARKING LOT. I HAD TO STEP ON THE BREAK TO AVOID HITTING THE ELECTRIC POLE. WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THAT THEY NEEDED TO REPAIR THE WIRING HARNESS AND SOMETHING ABOUT A RUST Y NUT THAT THEY NEEDED TO POLISH SO IT WOULD NOT LOSE CONTACT WITH THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM??? IM NOT SURE ABOUT THAT PART THOUGH. IT WAS MY HUSBAND AND THE SERVICE ADVISOR WHO HAD THAT TALK. MY CONCERN NOW IS THAT WE FEEL THAT WE HAVE A LEMON CAR. TRIED CONTACTING NISSAN CORP BUT THEY SAID THAT ALL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE AND IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN THAT THEY WILL REVIEW THE CASE. MY POINT IS, THE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE STEERING WHEEL WILL GIVE OUT ON YOU WHILE DRIVING AND MIGHT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE ADVISE US ON WHAT TO DO WITH THIS. I ALMOST HAD ONE IN THIS CAR, I DON'T FEEL SAFE HAULING MY TWO KIDS IN THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE BUT NISSAN WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT- WELL I GUESS NOT UNTIL WE HAVE AN ACCIDENT. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. HONESTLY I CAN'T REMEMBER IF THEY WERE EVER GOOD WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAN NEW. NO MATTER WHAT LIGHT BULB I PUT IN THERE DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE THEY ARE DIM.

The front seat passenger air bag detection system does not detect a passenger in the seat and turns off the frontal air bag. This has occurred numerous times and applies to certain 2015 Nissan Altimas. Nissan claims the recall to repair the Occupant Classification System does not apply to our VIN number, yet we continue to have this safety issue. The issued has been addressed with several dealerships, even provided them videos of the problem, and the problem continues as of today's date.

BRAKE ISSUE, ABS, TRACTION, WHILE DRIVING MY CAR AT 15 MPH MY BRAKES LOCKED UP AND STOPPED MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD (WITH TRAFFIC) FAIRLY FORCEFUL STOP I MIGHT ADD. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN A GRINDING NOISE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT RANDOM TIME. 1 WEEK PRIOR TO THE ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES MY DRIVING ASSIST SENSORS MALFUNCTIONED. AFTER OBTAINING A RENTAL CAR THE SATURDAY THAT MY BRAKES FAILED I WAS TOLD THAT MONDAY MORNING THAT MY CAR WAS FINE AND THAT MY BRAKES FAILED WHEN MY DRIVER ASSIST SENSORS MALFUNCTIONED A WEEK PRIOR. TALK ABOUT SCARY AND MY FAMILY NO LONGER FEELS SAFE IN MY CAR. NISSAN TOLD ME THIS WAS A NORMAL FUNCTION OF THE CAR AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT. THERE IS ALSO ACCORDING TO NISSAN REP AN UNKNOWN CLANKING NOISE COMING FROM THE SUSPENSION AND OR STEERING. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WITH ALL OF THESE ISSUES GOING ON THERE IS A HUGE RISK OF MY FAMILY BEING IN HARMS WAY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (HOWELL MOTORS IN SUMMIT, MS, 601-276-7711), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE INTERIOR OF THE TRANSMISSION WAS DETERIORATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
MY CAR WHICH WAS PURCHASED LESS THAN A MONTH AGO, IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE CAR CONTINUES TO HAVE MANY ISSUES. THERE IS A SHIMMY/VIBRATION IN THE STEERING COLUMN AS WELL AS VIBRATION IN THE DOOR, ACCELERATOR AND FLOOR BOARDS. IT OFTEN SEEMS THAT THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE SUSPENSION AS WELL AS THE BRAKES. THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IS THAT THE CAR CONTINUES TO DRIVE OFF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT AND YOU HAVE TO FORCE IT OUT OF A RIGHT-HAND TURN. ALTHOUGH THIS PROBLEM ALSO SEEMS TO OCCUR TO THE LEFT AS WELL, IT IS NOT AS APPARENT. WHAT IS APPARENT, IS WHEN YOU TRY TO COMPENSATE FOR THE DRIFTING, IT OVER-COMPENSATES TO THE OTHER SIDE AND IT NEVER FEELS AS THOUGH THE TIRES ARE HOLDING THE ROAD AT ALL TIMES. IT IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO MANAGE THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS ISSUE IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT IS NOT ONLY PUTTING THE LIVES OF MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN DANGER BUT THE LIVES OF THE OTHERS ON THE ROAD AS WELL. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONFIDENCE THAT THIS CAR CAN BE REPAIRED TO ANY LEVEL OF SAFETY.
THIS IS THE SECOND NISSAN ALTIMA THAT I'VE HAD. A VEHICLE IFO ME WILL THROW A ROCK AND CAUSE MY WINDSHIELD TO CRACK; NOT CHIP. NISSAN DOESN'T MAKE GOOD WINDSHIELDS. BOTH OF MY VEHICLES ALONG WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE THAT I KNOW HAVE HAD THE SAME CRACK ON THEIR ALTIMA. PLEASE CONSIDER THE MATERIAL THEY USE OR THE ACTUAL WINDSHIELD TO BE DEFECTIVE.
WHILE DRIVING 3-5 MPH IN A ROUNDABOUT, THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE ENGAGED ON ITS OWN, LOCKING THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO SHAKE AND THE RIGHT WHEEL SCREECHED TO A HALT WHILE THE LEFT WHEEL COULD STILL MOVE. I IMMEDIATELY PRESSED THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. I HAD TO PRESS AND RELEASE THE BRAKE AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BRAKE UNLOCKED. I DROVE TO MY HOME LESS THAN 1/3 MILE AWAY AND EXAMINED THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL. I COULD SMELL BURNING RUBBER AND THE WHEEL WAS VERY HOT. DURING THE 16 MONTHS I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR, THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL INSTANCES WHERE IT SEEMED THE FRONT BRAKES WERE ENGAGING FOR NO REASON. THESE INCIDENTS OCCUR WHEN I AM MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY OR ROUNDING A CURVE AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 45 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE ONE OR BOTH FRONT BRAKES ARE ENGAGING BRIEFLY AND IMMEDIATELY RELEASING, EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE FRONT END OF THE CAR WILL SHAKE AND IT FEELS LIKE THE FRONT WHEELS ARE WOBBLING AS IF THEY ARE LOOSE. I CHECKED BOTH WHEELS AFTER THESE INCIDENTS AND COULD NOT VISUALLY IDENTIFY ANY PROBLEMS. NEITHER WHEEL WAS LOOSE OR WORN.
I RECENTLY SWITCHED FROM AN AUDI A6, WHICH USES HID BULBS TO A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA 2.5 L. THIS MODEL USES HALOGEN BULBS, AS I HAVE DISCOVERED. I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNING THE NISSAN AND HAD POOR VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD. I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY TOWARD A STOPLIGHT AND COULD NOT SEE THE SMALL STRIP OF MEDIAN TO MY LEFT AS I WAS COMING TO THE STOPLIGHT. I HIT IT, AND THE SIDEWALL IN THE PASSENGER-SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. I LATER LOOKED UP THE VEHICLE SAFETY REPORT ON THIS MODEL AND I SEE THAT IT RECEIVED A "POOR" UNDER THE "HEADLIGHTS" SECTION OF THE IIHS WEBSITE. BOUGHT 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA BRAND NEW. FROM DAY ONE HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE. GOING ABOVE 60 VEHICLE WANTS TO DRIFT OUT OF LANE. BEEN IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN CORPORATION, AND THEY ARE NO HELP. SAY THAT IS HOW THE VEHICLE IS. THIS CAR IS VERY UNSAFE. NISSAN SENT OUT A SPECIALIST FOR ALITMAS, AND HE SAID IT WAS NORMAL. HE SAID HE DID SOMETHING TO HELP THE DRIVING, BUT IT DID NOT HELP AT ALL. I BOUGHT OUR 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA S BRAND NEW FROM FENTON NISSAN EAST, IN DEL CITY, OK, IN LESS THAN A YEAR, THE BRAKES STARTS MAKING VERY LOUD SQUEAKY NOISES, WHENEVER THE CAR IS IN MOTION, AND I APPLY THE BRAKES. I TOOK THIS CAR TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT, AT HUDIBURG NISSAN DEALERSHIP, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK AND THEY DID SOMETHING TO IT THAT GOT RID OF NOISE FOR A WEEK, THEN, THE HIGH PITCHED NOISE CAME BACK, WHEN IN MOTION AND I APPLY THE BRAKES. A LITTLE LATER, I TOOK MY CAR TO FENTON NISSAN EAST DEALERSHIP IN DEL CITY, AND THE SERVICE WOMAN SAID "I HAVE LOTS OF CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE NISSAN ALTIMA CARS AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE BUT SWITCH OUT THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER. SHE SAID IT WOULD COST ME $400.00 OR LIVE WITH THE NOISE." I BELIEVE THIS IS A HAZARDOUS ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED BECAUSE THE BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. TODAY, DECEMBER 14, 2017 THE HIGH PITCHED NOISE IS PRETTY CONSTANT, WHENEVER I DRIVE THE CAR AND APPLY MY NISSAN ALTIMA S BRAKES. GOD FORBID, THAT I EVER HAVE TO APPLY MY BRAKES QUICKLY. YES, I AM AFRAID THAT MY BRAKES WILL GIVE OUT, IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.
BRAKES ON MY CAR ARE SQUEAKING VERY LOUDLY. JUST HAD THEM FIXED A WEEK AGO AND THEY ARE WORSE NOW THEN THEY WERE BEFORE. APPLYING THE BRAKE WITH A LITTLE PRESSURE THERE IS NO NOISE ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT THERE IS A LOT OF NOISE THAT I AM NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
DRIVING AT NIGHT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON YET YOU CAN BARELY SEE AHEAD OF YOU. AT TIMES YOU ARE FORCED TO TURN ON THE HIGH BEAMS WHICH ENDANGERS OTHER DRIVERS. I HAD EVEN RECEIVED A CITATION FOR FLASHING MY LIGHTS BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO CLEARLY SEE THE STREET SIGNS. THIS SITUATION IS PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS WHEN TURNING. THE PROBLEM IS YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD CLEARLY AND ENDS UP SOMETIMES IN THE WRONG LANE. I WAS MAKING A LEFT ONE NIGHT AND ENDED UP TOO FAR DOWN THE ROAD THAT I WAS ON. AS I WAS TRYING TO TURN, OTHER CARS WERE TURNING ON MY RIGHT ON A ONE LANE ROAD. I JUST COULD NOT SEE WELL ENOUGH TO FOLLOW THE CURVE. WHEN RIDING WITH OTHER PASSENGERS AT NIGHT, THEY NEVER FAIL TO ALERT ME TO THE FACT THAT MY HEADLIGHTS ARE OFF. I USUALLY HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING THEM THAT THEY ARE WRONG.

THE LOCAL DEALER, HOWELL MOTORS, INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO FUMES WERE PRESENT; HOWEVER, AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BECAME LOOSE. THERE WERE ALSO CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD THAT WERE VISIBLE FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT IF SHE COULD PROVIDE MEDICAL RECORDS INDICATING THAT THE FUMES CREATED HEALTH ISSUES, THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE AND/OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER INJURY INCLUDED COUGHING UP SOLIDIFIED PETROLEUM DUE TO THE FUMES AND THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR ON HER CLOTHING. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. Received recall for dim headlights. 2016. Took to dealer for repair as it said. They did not have parts said to check back later. Called several times same story. Have since been in for service and get same story. Regular headlights so dim have to drive with bright lights on in dark. A safety hazard for sure in country.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
NISSAN HAD A HOOD RELEASE ISSUE WHICH RESULTED IN A RECALL. MY HOOD POPPED UP AND RESULTED IN SCRATCHES TO BOTH SIDES OF MY CAR. I REPORTED IT TO NISSAN AND THEY WILL NOT COVER IT. I WENT TO RUSS DARROW NISSAN MILWAUKEE TO FIX, HOWEVER IT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY. I WENT AMATO NISSAN TO HAVE THE HOOD REPAIRED AGAIN AFTER THE HOOD PIPED UP AGAIN.
THE HEADLIGHTS IN THE CAR ARE EXTREMELY DIM, CAUSING A MAJOR ISSUE WITH VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE 2016 AND I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN 2015 AND HAVE BEEN THE SOLE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE. I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE LACK OF VISIBILITY AT DARKNESS AND THEY REPLACED THE BULBS, WHICH DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. I WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE PROJECTOR LENS, NOT THE BULBS. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE 2013 - 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA'S, YET NISSAN HAS NOT RECALLED IT. I FEAR THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT.

AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN WOULD STEP ON GAS TO CONTINUE DRIVING WHEN THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ACCELERATE; IT HESITATES TO GO FOR A SECOND OR TWO THEN THE VEHICLE WELL ACCELERATE. FOR EXAMPLE IF THE VEHICLE SUPPOSE TAKES 2 SEC TO REACH 35 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD TAKE 5 SEC TO REACH 35 MPH. THIS HAS ACCORD ON THE STREETS AFTER MAKING A COMPLETE STOP. THE HAZARD THAT I AM CONCERN IS WHEN TRYING TO MAKE A TURN THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF BEING HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE SLOW REACTION OF MAKING MY TURN.I HAVE TALKED TO THE MAINTENANCE AT NISSAN AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE BUT WAS TOLD THAT IF NONE OF THE SENSOR ARE GOING OFF THEN THE CAR IS FINE. HOWEVER, IT IS STILL DOING IT . I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEIR MACHINES ARE NOT DETECTING ANYTHING. THEN ON SATURDAY THE 13TH, I WENT IN THE GARAGE AND THERE WAS A MASSIVE CRACK STARTING JUST A FEW INCHES ABOVE THE BOTTOM RIGHT (PASSENGER SIDE) AND EXTENDING OVER 12 INCHES TOWARD THE CENTER. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR THIS TO OCCUR! I AM SO UPSET! I HAVE GONE OUT OF MY WAY TO TAKE EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA GREAT CARE OF MY NEW CAR AND THEN THIS CRACK CAME OUT OF NOWHERE! I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERS A FEW DAYS AGO AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T COVER IT... I'VE RESEARCHED THIS A TON AND WILL BE FILING COMPLAINTS EVERYWHERE UNTIL I GET THIS RESOLVED. THIS WAS LITERALLY THE MOST RANDOM/HEART BREAKING THIS EVER ! THERE IS NO REASON WHY THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. I AM SO UPSET WITH NISSAN AND FULLY REGRET DECIDING TO PURCHASE AN ALTIMA!
