The contact pulled over and added transmission fluid and was able to continue driving the vehicle to the residence. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was advised that the VIN was not included in a recall related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000.
Vvt valve has failed twice now despite timely oil changes. This is a safety risk because vehicle will stall at low speeds like when starting at an intersection from a stopped position

Exhaust manifold leak
My transmission has went on my car. I’ve only had my car for 3 years. The car isn’t that old..while driving on the highway my car stopped and would not shift gears.I took my car to Nissan they claimed to fix the problem but my car stopped on me once Again while driving. The dealership fixed sensors in the engine. After the problem was not fixed the said it was my transmission. This is a safety issue and could have caused a accident. Other Nissan drivers are having this same issues..this is happening to multiple Nissans around the country. There should be a recall opened on the transmissions. Why should we the customers hav to pay for faulty transmissions.
WELL I BOUGHT MY 2015 ALTIMA A YEAR AGO AND NOW IT TRIES TO OVER HEATED, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE BOUNCES BACK AND FORTH, AND WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT WILL MOVE BUT AFTER I THROW IT IN DRIVE I LOSE ALL POWER WITH ACCELERATION THE CAR ON JUST NO REV OR ANYTHING
DRIVING AT 45 MPH AND THE TRANS WENT OUT. ONLY 81K MILES ON THE CAR
I WAS DRIVING MY DAUGHTER HOME FROM PRE-K AND HAD BEEN IN THE CAR FOR 10 MILES WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AT A VERY BUSY FOUR -WAY INTERSECTION. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE. I WAS SHOCKED. IT WAS PERFECTLY FINE ONE MINUTE AND DID NOT MOVE THE NEXT MINUTE. THE CAR ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL AND IT WOULDN'T GO. AFTER PRESSING A FEW TIMES, THE CAR STARTED TO GO VERY SLOWLY. I TOOK SOME BACK ROADS STOPPING AT DIFFERENT PARKING LOTS HOPING TO MAKE IT HOME. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT AT 59,700 MILES, MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA'S CVT TRANSMISSION IS NON-FUNCTIONAL & THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE IS STARTING TO SHOW UPL. I OWE MONEY ON THE LOAN AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OR START FROM SCRATCH. NO RECALLS. NO HELP. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.
THE VEHICLE CAN BE SITTING STILL AND WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THE ENGINE DOES NOT EVEN REV UP. IT IS AS THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS IS MOTION AND YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, NOTHING HAPPENS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS STILL, LOW SPEED OR HIGH SPEED. AND DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM CHECK DOES NOT SHOW THE PROBLEM AND THE ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON OR GET ANY KIND OF READING. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. HAVE TO EXTREME CAUTION WHEN GETTING ON THE FREEWAY AND/OR CHANGING LANES IN TRAFFIC.
THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND / OR IN MOTION. AND NO ENGINE OR ANYTHING CON=MES TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG. MECHANICS CAN NOTFIX IT, BECAUSE NOTHING SHOWS ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. SOMETIME WHEN PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINE DOES NOTHING. AS IF THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON. AFTER REPEATEDLY PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE ENGINE WILL FINALLY RESPOND AS IT SHOULD. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.
MY 2015 ALTIMA IS EXPERIENCING A SPORADIC DELAY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. IT WON'T REV OR DO ANYTHING FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS NO MATTER HOW FAR DOWN THE PEDAL IS. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'LL GO. THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I TOOK IT TO PEP BOYS STORE TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THE TECH STAFF EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE I WAS WHEN HE DROVE MY CAR. HE PLACE THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL INTO MY CAR AND CAME UP WITH A CODE THAT STATED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION(P0776 CODE). BECAUSE THE STORE DON NOT DEAL WITH TRANSMISSION, I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE. AFTER RUNNING TEST THEY DID NOT FIND ANY ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION OR NO CODE WHEN THEY INSERTED THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL INTO MY CAR. THEY STATED THEY IS MUST HAVE BEEN CLEAR. WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND IS HOW IT'S CLEAR WHEN NO ONE HAVE DONE ANY WORK ON THE CAR. I BELIEVE IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN AND THE ENGINE IS HOT.. I EXPLAIN THIS TO THEM TOO.

THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING AS IF IT'S GOING TO SHIFT DOWN, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAM ON. TOOK THE CAR TO ADVANCE AUTO , WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED LACED. TOOK THE CAR TO A NISSAN DEALER HAD THE SENSOR REPLACED, DROVE THE CAR FOR TWO DAYS. DRIVING TO WORK THE NEXT DAY HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE THIS TIME THE CAR JUST STOPPED. TOOK IT BACK TO THE NISSAN DEALER WAS TOLD THAT THE OTHER SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I'M AFRAID THAT I MIGHT BE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND MAY ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEM I HOPE TO GOD NOT, BUT AT THIS POINT I'M A BIT WORRIED. HAD THE CAR FOR 4 MONTHS NOW. *TR
NISSAN SEEMS TO HAVE DEFECTIVE AC COMPONENTS IN THEIR 2015 ALTIMA VEHICLES. THE BELOW LINK SHOWS ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR 2015 ALTIMA. THE COMPRESSOR DOES NOT ALWAYS ENGAGE, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO BLOW OUT HOT AIR. HOWEVER, IN SOME CASES THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH WILL ENGAGE AND BLOW OUT COOL AIR, BUT IT IS VERY INCONSISTENT. CODE P0101 OEM SPECIFIC DTC CODE. CATEGORY ENGINE PERFORMANCE - THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR IS PART OF THE ENGINE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. WHEN DRIVING THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE.
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH ON THE FREEWAY, THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY TO ABOUT 30 MPH AND I COULD NOT ACCELERATE. SOON AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTOZONE AND DID A SYSTEM CHECK, I RECEIVED THE ERROR CODE P2101 DETECTING THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL TO BE AN ISSUE. THE NEXT DAY, WHEN MY CAR WAS IN PARK MY RPMS WERE UP TO 2,000. WHEN BEGINNING TO DRIVE, I WOULD RELEASE THE BRAKE AND WITHOUT HITTING THE GAS I WOULD GO UPWARDS OF 25 MPH. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT I DRIVE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MATTER AND THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN, THE CAR IS EITHER REARING TO GO OR WANTS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
I GOT MY NISSAN IN DECEMBER 2015 I HAD IT ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DEAL SAID THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY ...SHOULD MY CAR HAVE ENGINE PROBLEMS AT 2 YEARS OLD?
WHEN STARTING FROM A DEAD STOP, PRESSING DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDDLE NO FORWARD CAR ACCELERATION, NO INCREASE IN RPM. AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ( 2-3) SECONDS FAST INCREASE IN RPM AND FAST FORWARD ACCELERATION. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE WHEN TRYING TO MERGE FROM A DEAD STOP AND EXPECTING FORWARD MOTION AND THERE IS NONE. THIS HAS BEEN A NISSAN PROBLEM SINCE 2008 AND NO FIX OR TEST WHEN TAKEN TO DEALER. THIS IS A SPORADIC PROBLEM ONLY NOTICED FROM A DEAD STOP, CITY STREETS GOING STRAIGHT OR MAKING TURN ON START, GAS TANK QUANTITY NO ISSUE IN THIS PROBLEM.
BACK IN JULY CAR STARTED TO LOSE POWER AND SPUTTER WHILE DRIVING, AND NISSAN REPLACED VALVE BODY. HOWEVER, CAR SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON 09/07 AND I WAS ABLE TO COAST CAR TO CURB. WHEN TRYING TO START AGAIN, ENGINE WOULD ONLY CRANK AND NOT TURN OVER.
