DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR BROKEN AND FLAPS DOWN UNEXPECTED WHEN DRIVING. NISSAN NEEDS TO BE FORCED TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS AND FIX THEM FREE - AS OF NOW THEY CONTEND THAT IT IS NOT COVERED WITH THE 5 YEAR, 120,000 EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED. FOUR OUT OF THE PAST 5 COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE RELATED TO THIS VERY ISSUE (AND NO MINE). NISSAN NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE THIS AS A DESIGN FLAW BEFORE ACCIDENTS OCCUR.
THE SUN VISORS NO LONGER STAY UP AND OUT OF THE VIEW SOME TIMES SWING DOWN WITHOUT WARNING BLOCKING VISIBILITY
DRIVER'S INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE AND YOU CANNOT EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT ROLLING DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPENING FROM THE EXTERIOR. THIS A SAFETY PROBLEM IF THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT AND THE WINDOW WOULD NOT GO DOWN.
THE SUN VISOR STARTED SLOWLY SAGGING DOWN ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS SIDE. THEY MAKE A LOUD POPPING SOUND WHEN ENGAGED. THEY NO LONGER LIFT TO THE CLOSED POSITION. SINCE THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THIS PART NISSAN I'LL HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET TO REPLACE BOTH. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE A YEAR AGO AND THE VISORS HAVE ALWAYS MADE A LOUD POPPING SOUND WHEN YOU ENGAGE THE VISOR.
AT FIRST THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS FADING TO THE FLOOR AT A STOP. REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. CONDITION BETTER BUT PEDAL STILL SPONGY AND THEN, ADDITIONALLY, WHEN DRIVING, AT RANDOM TIMES THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES DOWN 3/4 OF THE WAY BEFORE ANY BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE IS FELT AND THE VEHICLE IS ABLE TO STOP. THIS IS VERY SCARY AS YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO STOP OR NOT. DEALER THEN REPLACED ABS ACTUATOR WITH NO REMEDY TO RANDOM PROBLEM. DEALER ADDITIONALLY REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AGAIN WITH NO BETTER OUTCOME. DEALER UNABLE TO FIX THIS SERIOUS BRAKE PROBLEM EVEN AFTER CONSULTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING WITH NISSAN ENGINEERS. NOW WE ARE UNABLE TO DRIVE VEHICLE UNTIL NISSAN ENGINEER CAN GET TO DEALER IN 2 WEEKS? TO PERSONALLY TROUBLESHOOT THE BRAKES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 57,000 MILES ON IT AND NOW IS ON IT'S 3RD MASTER CYLINDER AND 2ND ABS ACTUATOR WITH NO SAFE SOLUTION AS OF YET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING OPERATED AT 50 MPH, THE HOOD INDEPENDENTLY OPENED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
I BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL OF 2017, WITH 41,000 MILES. I DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE VEHICLE A YEAR BEFORE I NOTICED THAT WHEN I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT STARTS TO STALL AT TIMES, IT DOES NOT PICK UP SPEED AT ALL I HAVE TO PUSH THE ACCELERATOR TWO OR THREE TIMES BEFORE IT PICKS UP, AND THIS HAPPENS AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND EVEN WHEN I'M ON THE INTERSTATE. I AM REALLY FEARING FOR MY LIFE, BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I HAVE RIGHT NOW TO DRIVE. WHEN I GO TO PARK THE VEHICLE, AND SHUT IT OFF THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON, AND THEY DON'T GO OFF. I HAVE TO GET BACK IN THE VEHICLE MOVE THE VEHICLE AND THEN SHUT IT OFF. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO DO THIS THREE OR FOUR TIMES BEFORE THE BRAKE LIGHT GOES OFF. I REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, WHO HAVE TOLD ME THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, AND SINCE IT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY THROUGH THE DAY I HAVE TO KEEP MAKING APPOINTMENTS, SO THEY CAN TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM. VERY FRUSTRATING.
BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISOR ARE TOO HEAVY FOR THE CLIPS THAT HOLD THEM AND OVER TIME STARTS TO HANG AND EVENTUALLY BREAK AT THE SWIVEL. THIS IS A DANGEROUS AS THE VISOR BLOCKS YOUR LINE OF SIGHT AND ONCE IT BREAKS IT IS COMPLETELY IN YOUR WAY. I REPLACED THE PASSENGER SIDE WHILE UNDER WARRANTY AND ITS ALREADY HANGING AGAIN, THE DRIVER SIDE ONE WAS HANGING AND BROKE AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE SERVICE MAN AT THE NISSAN DEALER SAID THEY KEEP A TON OF THEM IN STOCK, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS BREAKING/HANGING. DRIVING THIS CAR IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE.
MAY 2017 THE PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISOR BROKE AND WAS REPLACED BY ME. IN JULY 2017 THE MECHANISM ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR BROKE AND RELEASED UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING BLOCKING MY VIEW OF THE ROAD AND CAUSING ME TO ABRUPTLY SWERVE INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE VISOR ISSUE SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ONE WITH THE 2013 AND 2014 PATHFINDER AND IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT A SAFETY HAZARD. ABRUPTLY OBSTRUCTING THE LINE OF SIGHT OF A DRIVER SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE.
MY 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER HAS EXPERIENCED 8 INCIDENTS OF NO ACCELERATION, SOMETIMES AT CRITICAL MOMENTS, LIKE MERGING FROM ONE HIGHWAY TO ANOTHER IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. ONE INCIDENT INVOLVED A SEMI-TRUCK NEARLY REAR-ENDING ME ON A FLYOVER RAMP WHILE MY PATHFINDER WAS STUCK AT 40 MPH. IT WAS LIKE A FUNERAL PROCESSION STUCK BEHIND ME UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET ON A SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY, AFTER THE FLYOVER RAMP. ALL 8 INCIDENTS HAVE HAPPENED AFTER THE CAR WAS SERVICED ON 2/14/17 BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL PC500 (DEALING WITH THE TRANSMISSION). WE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH OUR PATHFINDER BEFORE THE WARRANTY/RECALL WORK WAS DONE. THE CAR TENDS TO GET STUCK IN LOWER SPEEDS, BETWEEN ABOUT 15-40 MPH. IT HAS DONE THIS TWICE FROM A DEAD STOP AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN IT FINALLY DID ACCELERATE FROM THE RED LIGHT, IT SHOT OFF LIKE A ROCKET AND CAUSED US TO GO OVER A MEDIAN AND OFF THE ROAD. IT DOES IT ON LOCAL STREETS AND ALSO ON HIGHWAYS. THE SEVERITY OF THE SITUATION SEEMS GREATER WHEN IT HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY, HOWEVER, IT COULD BE DEADLY ON LOCAL ROADS AS WELL. I AM SCARED TO TURN LEFT WITHOUT AN ARROW FOR FEAR OF IT NOT ACCELERATING. I HAVE TO DRIVE DIFFERENTLY, ALLOWING TONS OF SPACE/TIME TO PULL OUT OF PARKING LOTS, IN CASE IT DOESN'T ACCELERATE. I HAVE ALL OF MY SERVICE RECORDS AND HAVE DONE EVERYTHING TO SERVICE THE CAR THAT IT REQUIRES.
THE LIFT GATE/HATCH POWER STRUTS CORRODED AND SNAPPED WHILE IT WAS CLOSING. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT UNDERNEATH IT. I HAD TO REMOVE IT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. BOTH SIDES ARE CORRODED THROUGH AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS ABOUT 65K MILES AND THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE RUSTED THE WAY IT DID. I'VE HEARD THERE IS A BULLETIN ISSUED BY NISSAN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, BUT THEY HAVE ONLY OFFERED TO PAY HALF OF THE $1550 COST TO REPLACE THESE EXPENSIVE PARTS.
DOOR HANDLES RANDOMLY BRAKE. THIS HAS HAPPEND WITH 2 DOOR HANDLES WHICH I REPLACED PRETTY CLOSE IN TIME TO EACH OTHER BUT REGULAR USE AND NOTHING ROUGH WITH THEM. IF WE HAVE TO GET OUT IN AN EMERGENCY LIKE AN ACCIDENT THE DOOR HANDLES AREN'T RELIABLE. FROM THE INSIDE YOU CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR BUT IF YOUR CAR ISN'T OPERABLE YOU CANT REACH OUTSIDE TO OPEN IT.
GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY RECALL. THE GEAR SHIFT STICK GOT STUCK IN PARKING, IN ORDER TO GET THE CAR OUT OF PARK I NEED TO USE THE EMERGENCY PARK RELEASE BUTTON WHICH CREATES A SAFETY RISK BECAUSE WHEN YOU USE THE EMERGENCY RELEASE BUTTON THE BREAK NEEDS NOT BE APPLIED WHICH MAY CAUSE A CRASH, INJURY OR DEATH. IN NISSAN SERVICE SHOP IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ENTIRE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, COST - $850. SWITCHING GEARS SAFELY IS AN ESSENTIAL VEHICLE FUNCTION AND THE GEARS SHIFT STICK IS NOT A WEARABLE PART FOR WHICH MALFUNCTION I SHOULD PAY.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR BROKE (A PIECE INSIDE THE VISOR) EARLY ON IN OWNERSHIP BUT NOT ENOUGH TO BOTHER ME. NOW, IT HANGS DOWN IN MY FACE OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW WHILE DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERED AND SLIPPED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (CHAPMAN NISSAN, 6723 ESSINGTON AVE, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19153, 215-492-1200) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIRS WOULD BE AT HIS EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
THE CAR BEGAN JUMPING AND JERKING AS IT ACCELERATED ON BOTH THE INTERSTATE AND CITY STREETS. I WAS CERTAINLY NOT IN CONTROL. THE TACHOMETER KEPT ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING ON ITS OWN. AFTER I ACCELERATED TO ABOVE 45-50, IT STOPPED JERKING AND BECAME SMOOTH AGAIN. UPON STOPPING AT A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN, THE VEHICLE WAS JERKY AND HAD TROUBLE ENGAGING AND SHIFTING. IT WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
IN PARK, MY GEAR SHIFT WILL NOT ENGAGE SO I CANNOT GET OUT OF PARK. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO. IN THE BEGINNING IT WOULD HAPPEN MAYBE ONE OR TWICE A WEEK. NOW ITS ABOUT EVERY OTHER TIME I GET IN MY VEHICLE. IT CAN TAKE ANYWHERE FROM 5 TO 15 MINUTES BEFORE I CAN GET IT OUT OF PARK AND IN GEAR
VEHICLE DOES NOT RESPOND WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, RESULTING IN NO ACCELERATION. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND HAPPENS AT RANDOM, AND AT VARYING SPEEDS: INCLUDING ACCELERATION FROM A COMPLETE STOP, ACCELERATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, AND ACCELERATION AT CITY SPEEDS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, RPMS DO NOT RISE WHILE THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE BECOMES TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN OCCURRING AFTER THE DEALER REPLACED THE CVT AND TORQUE CONVERTOR ' BOTH DEEMED BAD BY THE DEALER. VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO ADDRESS THIS CONCERN, BUT THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, AND THERE ARE NO CODES APPEARING DURING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING AND THERE HAS BEEN NO RESOLUTION. NISSAN CORPORATE HAS NOT FORMALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THIS TO BE A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM, BUT IS 'AWARE OF SOME CONCERNS'.
DEFECTIVE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. PASSENGER HANDLE MADE A CRUNCH NOISE AND STOPPED WORKING. 3 MONTHS LATER IT HAPPENED TO THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE. THE DEALER CLAIMED THIS IS A TRIM ISSUE. IT IS NOT. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. WHAT IF THE CAR WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION AND WAS ON FIRE AND THE DOOR HANDLE DIDN'T WORK? THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE IN MY MIND. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ONLINE AND IT TURNS OUT THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THIS SAME ISSUE. NISSAN SHOULD RECALL THESE IMMEDIATELY.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR BROKE INTERNALLY AND FLOPS DOWN INTO THE DRIVER'S SIGHTLINE--WILL NOT STAY UP OR ANY OTHER POSITION THAN DIRECTLY IN THE DRIVER'S SIGHTLINE. MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS ON YOUTUBE INCLUDING A NISSAN DEALERSHIP REPORTING THAT IT HAPPENS ON ALMOST ALL 2013-2016 PATHFINDERS. IT IS DANGEROUS AS IT AFFECTS VISABILITY. NISSAN WANTS $141 / VISOR FOR THE PART ALONE. INSTALLED, GENERALLY OVER $200. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL. PROBLEM OCCURRED AS MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND TRYING TO USE THE SUN VISOR FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE.
REAR HATCH WILL NOT OPEN; DEALER INVOICE STATES "REAR HATCH STRUTS ARE FAULTY". DISCOVERED WHEN ATTEMPTED TO LOAD FURNITURE IN CAR; SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO NO AVAIL.
FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE NEW THE WEATHER STRIPPING FOR THE ROOF CARGO RACK HAS COME LOOSE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT TAPS ON THE DOOR WINDOWS CREATING A DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING PARTICULARLY AT HIGHWAY (INTERSTATE) SPEEDS
WHILE DRIVING HOME TODAY WITH MY TWO YOUNG BOYS ON A RURAL, WOODED ROAD, MY SUNROOF SHATTERED. IT SOUNDED LIKE AN EXPLOSION. I WENT BACK TO THE SCENE WHERE I HEARD THE EXPLOSION TO LOOK FOR ROCKS AND/OR TREE LIMBS AND NOTHING WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE HAS NO SIGNS OF ROCKS HITTING THE ROOF OR WINDSHIELD. IT APPEARS TO HAVE EXPLODED SPONTANEOUSLY.
DRIVING HOME WITH FAMILY ABOUT 11:30 PM ON HYWAY THE SUNROOF EXPLODED AND GLASS WENT EVERYWHERE VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THE SITUATION BECAUSE MY KIDS COULD OF BEEN HURT VERY BADLY LUCKY I HAD VISOR CLOSED BY TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO CLEANUP ALL THE GLASS THEN WHEN TRYING TO GET FIXED I AM BEING TOLD THE GLASS FOR SUNROOF IS ALMOST $800 VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT IT WHY CAN'T THIS GLASS BE LAMINATED
BOTH SUNVISORS OF MY CAR BROKE AND HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTED MY FIELD OF VISION NOT TO MENTION THAT IT STICKS OUT INTO MY FACE WHEN I DRIVE. T THE SUNVISOR CAN'T BE STORED SAFELY (CLICK INTO POSITION)AND CAN'T BE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE SUN BECAUSE IT IS DANGLING- BROKE. THE SAME HAPPENED TO MY PASSENGER SIDE. MY HUSBAND PUT CLAMPS TO HOLD THEM BACK BUT TODAY I FINALLY WENT TO NISSAN TO REPLACE THEM. IT COST $313!!! I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS AND THE SUNVISORS HAVE NEVER BROKEN.... I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN BUT THEY DIDN'T CONSIDER THISOME A RECALL.

THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (HERB GORDON NISSAN, 3131 AUTOMOBILE BLVD, SILVER SPRING, MD) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR, INTERNAL PLASTIC BRACKET BROKEN AND ALLOWS THE VISOR TO RANDOMLY FLOP DOWN IN FRONT OF DRIVERS FIELD OF VIEW WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
NISSAN PATHFINDER 2013 REVS ENGINE AND JERKS VEHICLE WHILE FIRMLY PRESSING BRAKE (AT A STOP LIGHT). AT FIRST, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE WIND, BUT IT KEPT HAPPENING FOR WEEKS. THEN I NOTICED THE RPMS JUMP WHEN IT HAPPENED. FURTHERMORE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SLOWLY ROLL FORWARD IF STOPPED ON A HILL, REQUIRING PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL OF THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. JUST YESTERDAY, IT REVVED AND JERKED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE HAS THE LATEST RECALLS DONE AS OF APRIL/MAY WHEN I TOOK IN IN FOR SERVICE (ROSEN NISSAN) AND THEY VERIFIED THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS OK. VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE REVVING AND TRYING TO TURN TIRES WHILE IT IS STOPPED.
DEFECTIVE INTERIOR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE. THE INSIDE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE ON MY 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER BROKE WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR AND I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. THE CAR WAS PARKED WITH THE IGNITION TURNED OFF WHEN THE HANDLE FAILED. I REMOVED THE DOOR COVER AND INSPECTED THE HANDLE ASSEBLY TO FIND A SMALL PIECE OF PLASTIC HAD BROKEN OFF. THE BROKEN PIECE OF PLASTIC WAS DESIGNED TO HOLD THE BALL-END OF THE DOOR LATCH CABLE IN PLACE. FROM MY OWN INTERNET SEARCH INVESTIGATIONS, IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND IT IS COMMON ON DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLES GIVEN THAT IS THE HANDLE USED MOST FREQUENTLY. THE OTHER DOOR HANDLES ARE MANUFACTURED THE SAME WAY SO IT IS LIKELY THAT ALL WILL FAIL DEPENDING ON FREQUENCY OF USE. IN MY OPINION, THIS DEFECT IS RELATED TO POOR DESIGN AND CHEAP MATERIALS. IF THE HANDLE ASSEMBLY OR THE PART OF THE ASSEMBLY THAT HOLDS THE LATCH CABLE IN PLACE WERE MADE OF METAL OR A STRONGER PLASTIC, THERE WOULD BE NO DEFECT. THEREFORE I BELIEVE THIS DEFECT IS THE MANUFACTURERS RESPONSIBILITY AND SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE LIST OF RECALLS THAT EFFECT THIS VEHICLE. THE SAME DOOR HANDLE, PART NUMBER 80671-3TA0A IS THE SAME PART USED IN SEVERAL OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES. WHEN I SEARCHED FOR A REPLACEMENT PART THROUGH A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP'S PARTS DEPARTMENT, THE PART HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED BY PART NUMBER 80671-3TA0D SO IT SEEMS LIKE NISSAN MAY BE AWARE OF THE DEFECT. I AM REPORTING THIS AFTER READING HOW COMMON THIS ISSUE IS IN 2013-2017 NISSAN PATHFINDERS AND THE RATES DEALERS ARE CHARGING FOR THE REPAIR. I SAW ONLINE THAT DEALERS CHARGE $850.00 TO 1250.00. MY LOCAL DEALER CHARGES $980.00 PLUS TAX. I PAID $176.00 FOR THE PART AND IT TOOK ME UNDER 90 MINUTES TO INSTALL AFTER WATCHING A YOUTUBE VIDEO. THIS IS A COMPLETE SAFETY HAZZARD FOR VISIBILITY AND ONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED SHOULD THEY HAVE AN ACCIDENT AS AN AIRBAG CAN NOT PROTECT THEM FROM FAULTY INTERIOR PARTS OF THIS VEHICLE. WE NOTICED A SLIGHT ISSUE JUST AFTER PURCHASE IN 2017 AND THE ISSUE HAS GOTTEN INCREASINGLY WORSE.

THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISORS DO NOT STAY UP IN THE FULLY RETRACTED POSITION. THE DRIVER'S SIDE ESPECIALLY WILL HANG SO LOW SO AS TO OBSTRUCT VISIBILITY. YOU CAN PUSH THE VISORS UP BUT THEY IMMEDIATELY SAG AFTER RELEASING THE VISOR. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. THIS IS A CONSTANT PROBLEM AS THIS OCCURS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. IN FACT. I HAVE HAD TO PLACE VELCRO FASTENERS TO KEEP THE VISORS UP SO AS NOT TO CAUSE AN OBSTRUCTION TO VISIBILITY.
WHILE DRIVING THE RPM AND SPEED OF THE VEHICLE WILL NOT GO PAST 1500 THUS CAUSING VERY SLOW ACCELERATION. ESPECIALLY WHEN TRYING TO TURN INTO ANY STREET WHERE YOU NEED TO ACCELERATE FASTER. TRYING TO DE PRESS AND RE PRESS THE GADS PEDAL DOES NOTHING. OUR NISSAN DEALERSHIP HAS SAID THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY IS TO BLAME.
THE SUN VISORS WHILE DRIVING DO NOT SUPPORT THEMSELVES AND BREAK EASILY MOST LIKELY BECAUSE OF CHEAP PLASTIC. WHILE DRIVING THEY MAY FOLD DOWN AND OBSTRUCT MY VIEW OF THE ROAD WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AT ANY GIVEN SPEED. I HAVE HAD TO TIE MY SUN VISORS SO THEY DO NOT RANDOMLY COME DOWN. THIS IS ALSO A PROBLEM BECAUSE THERE IS NOW NO PROTECTION FROM SUN LIGHT AND IT IS HARD TO SEE THE ROAD WHEN SUNLIGHT IS PRESENT.
I WAS GIVEN A NEW TRANSMISSION WHEN PURCHASED BECAUSE IT HAD JERKY GEAR CHANGES. INSIDE DOOR HANDLES ARE BREAKING, TRAPPING PASSENGER IN CAR.
SUN ROOF EXPLODED AND GLASS SHATTERED.

THE FRONT SUN VISORS WILL NO LONGER HOLD THEMSELVES UP. IF LEFT ALONE, THEY WOULD HANG DOWN IN THE DRIVER'S FIELD OF VISION. THEY ARE CURRENTLY BEING HELD UP WITH VELCRO. THEY HAVE BEEN THIS WAY FOR SOME TIME, BUT THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THIS IS A WELL DOCUMENTED FAILURE AND SHOULD BE FIXED ON ALL MODELS AFFECTED.
