TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHEN HE EXITED THE VEHICLE. TIM DAHLE NISSAN SOUTHTOWNE (11155 JORDAN GATEWAY, SOUTH JORDAN, UT 84095, (801) 495-3800) STATED THAT THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS STILL ACTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL REAGRDING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEM : (1) THE CODES THAT WERE STORED WERE P01710 CVT JUDDER CODE & P0420 TRANS FLUID LOW CODE (2) AND TRANSMISSION IS TAKING 10SECS TO SHIFT PROPERLY SO NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. NISSAN SUBURBAN, FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN, IS AWARE OF THE TRANSMISSION RECALL REQUIREMENT AND ISSUES BUT ASKING ME (THE CUSTOMER) $4500 TO PAY TO REPLACE CVT TRANSMISSION. WE WERE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 1PM WHEN THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE SUNROOF GLASS EXPLODED. IT EXPLODED BEFORE ON 11/29/18. THE WEATHER WAS SUNNY AND CLEAR WITH A TEMP OF ABOUT 45 DEGREES. THE SUN SHIELD WAS OPEN BUT THE SUNROOF WAS CLOSED. WE HADN'T PASSED AN OVERPASS AND WHEN THE WE CLEANED UP THE GLASS WE DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HAVE IMPACTED THE GLASS OF THE SUNROOF. WE PURCHASED THE CAR USED FROM A DEALERSHIP IN APRIL 2018.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. IT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT WENT THROUGH THE SUNROOF. GLASS FELL DOWN ONTO MY WIFE AND 2 KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT. THERE WERE NO ROCKS IN FRONT OF ME FOR DEBRIS TO COME BACK. THE WHOLE THING SHATTERED. IT DIDN'T HAVE A CRACK OR SPIDER. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS OTHER ISSUES LIKE THIS ON THE INTERNET AND CONSUMER REPORTS RECENTLY WROTE AN ARTICLE ABOUT THIS. NISSAN WAS IN THE TOP 3 HAVING THIS ISSUE. I WENT TO MY DEALER AND HE THOUGHT WE WERE CRAZY AND ASSUMED WE CAUSED THIS DAMAGE AND TRIED TO EXPLAIN THEIR WERE RELATED ARTICLES ONLINE WITH THE SAME ISSUES AS MY EXPERIENCE. IT WAS VERY SCARY AND COULD'VE BEEN DANGEROUS IF THERE WERE OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND US BECAUSE, WE HAD TO SLAM ON OUR BRAKES. I ALSO PURCHASED EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT.
SUN ROOF BLEW UP WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE ACCELERATOR WOULD SUDDENLY NOT RESPOND BECOMING A LIFE HAZARD TO MY FAMILY AND MYSELF AND ALSO OTHER DRIVERS BEHIND MY VEHICLE; THE CRUISE CONTROL ALSO STOP OPERATING WHEN THIS OCCURS. ALSO THE BRAKE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED AND WITH THE CAR BEING OFF.
THE SUN VISORS ON OUR 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER STARTED TO DROOP DOWN AND EVENTUALLY BECAME SO LOOSE THAT THEY DID NOT STAY UP AT ALL AND ARE DANGLING ALL THE WAY DOWN. THIS IS NOT ONLY ANNOYING BUT ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE DRIVER SIDE IS BLOCKING PART OF THE VIEW. THE LOOSE FLAPPING PANEL ALSO DISTRACTS THE DRIVER IMMENSELY.
IN 2019 THE DRIVER SEAT BECOME WOBBLY AND A BOLT WAS FOUND LOOSE. TIGHTENED BOLT AND IS STARTING TO BECOME LOOSE AGAIN. THE SINGLE SEAT IN 2ND ROW HAS ALSO BECOME WOBBLY AND IS GETTING MUCH WORSE. CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE OUT WHY IT'S SO WOBBLY AND CAN'T GET TO ANY BOLTS TO CHECK TIGHTNESS. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR SAFETY. BECAUSE OF THIS I CAN'T PUT A CHILD'S CAR SEAT IN THAT SEAT AND I CAN'T USE THAT SEAT FOR ANYONE ELSE EITHER AS IT IS NOT SAFE. PLEASE RECALL THESE SEATS SO THEY CAN BE FIXED. I'VE SEEN FORUMS WHERE OTHERS HAVE/HAD THE SAME ISSUE.
I HAVE TAKEN MY PATHFINDER TO THE SHOP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FIXED. IT SHUTTERS AT SLOW SPEEDS. MY HUSBAND WAS TOLD THAT NISSAN'S DO THAT AND NOTHING IS WRONG. WE HAD THE CVT SENSOR REPLACED AND IT STOPPED FOR A WHILE. WELL NOW IT SHUTTERS AT LOW SPEEDS WHILE TURNING A CORNER, IN SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC, HIGH SPEEDS GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND SOMETIMES WHEN YOU PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL AFTER BEING STOPPED AT A LIGHT IT WILL ACT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT ENGAGING AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL ENGAGE AND MAKE THE CAR LEAP FORWARD AND IT WILL SHAKE. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM VIC BAILEY FORD IN AUGUST 2015, WAS TOLD THAT IT STILL HAD THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY LEFT ON IT AND BENSON NISSAN IN SPARTANBURG WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY BECAUSE WE DIDN'T PURCHASE THE VEHICLE FROM THEM. THIS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE.
HOOD LATCH FAILED SLAMMED INTO WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING
AS I WAS DRIVING ON 110 SOUTH FREEWAY AND ENTER FASTTRACK LANE NEAR EXPOSITION BLVD EXIT, I HEARD A VERY LOUD EXPLOSION AND THOUGHT THAT I WAS RUNNING INTO A COLLISION WITH ANOTHER ONCOMING VEHICLE. AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN AND LOOKED AROUND THERE WERE NO VEHICLE NEAR ME AND THE WEATHER WAS SO CLEAR. THEN I NOTICED THAT MY SUNROOF GLASS WAS BLOWN OFF AND SHATTERED. LUCKY ENOUGH I HAD MY SUNROOF SHADE CLOSED SO THE SHATTERED GLASS DIDN'T FLIGHT IN THE CAR. THERE WERE ANOTHER 04 PASSENGERS IN MY CAR AS WELL BUT NO ONE GOT HURT.
IT APPEARS THE MOLDING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ROOF RACK HAS COME APART. THE SEAL AND THE ACTUAL ROOF RACK PIECE NOW FLAP IN THE WIND. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS AND IT SEEMS SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE HAVE DEALT WITH THIS ISSUE, EVEN AFTER MONTHS OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME I EXPERIENCED THIS WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I HEARD SOMETHING HITTING MY ROOF, I FIGURED A STICK MIGHT OF GOT CAUGHT IN THE ROOF RACK OR SOMETHING. EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT FLAPS IN THE WIND.
'TAMARA RECALL' LATCH UNDER HOOD NOT OPERABLE; THEREFORE, HOOD OF VEHICLE DOES CLOSE COMPLETELY
WHILE DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 75MP ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 AM THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. THE SUN SHADE WAS OPEN BUT THE SUNROOF WAS CLOSED DURING THE EXPLOSION. THE WEATHER SUNNY AND CLEAR WITH A TEMP OF ABOUT 40 DEGREES. I HADN'T PASSED A SEMI OR TRUCK OR AN OVERPASS. I MAINTAINED OUR SPEED UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND ASSESS THE DAMAGE. PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT RECEIVED MINOR CUTS ON HIS LEG. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED USED FROM DEALERSHIP IN APRIL 2018. IT HAD 34,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. I HAD A "CRASH PROTECTOR" PLACED OVER THE SUNROOF BY SAFELITE GLASS REPAIR UNTIL REPLACEMENT PART IS AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE AND WOULD JERK. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. ONCE RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BRANDON NISSAN (LOCATED AT 9920 E ADAMO DR, TAMPA, FL 33619, (813) 305-7681) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE FAILED AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,120.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND THE RPMS INCREASED AND DECREASED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VALLEJO NISSAN (3287 SONOMA BLVD, VALLEJO, CA 94590, (707) 656-4483) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I PURCHASED THE 2014 PATHFINDER MARCH 2018 WITH 27K MILES. OCT. 2018 DURING STARTING OF THE VEHICLE I NOTICED EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE. MY MECHANIC CHECKED THE TRUCK AND INFORMED ME OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE ENGINE INTO THE CYLINDERS. I CONTACTED NISSAN CORP AND WAS INFORMED TO TAKE IT TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALER. THE DEALER FOUND THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING BAD, WHEEL BARREN. THEY RETURNED THE VEHICLE BACK TO ME AFTER A WEEK. THE NEXT DAY, THE TRUCK WAS SMOKING AGAIN EVERYTIME I WOULD START THE IGNITION. TRIED TO TRADE THE TRUCK FOR ANOTHER MAKE. I CAN'T TOO MUCH EQUITY. I ONLY HAD THE TRUCK FOR 8 MONTHS. DEC. 5TH 2018, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT IS ON. EXCESSIVE SMOKE STILL COMES FROM THE TAIL PIPE WHEN THE TRUCK IS STARTED. RETURNED TRUCK BACK TO NISSAN DEALER FOR REPAIR.
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON 11/6/2018 AND IT WAS RIDING FUNNY SO I TOOK IT INTO MY DEALERSHIP, THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING MY CARS TRANS WENT OUT A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES OF THE DEALERSHIP FIXING IT. THEY STATED THAT'S A NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IN THESE VEHICLES.
WHEN STARTING TO TAKE OFF (GOING ANYWHERE FROM 5-20 MPH) MY CAR SHAKES LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL OUT, THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO PROPERTY SPEEDUP WHEN ACCELERATING. I FEEL EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT SAFE. BUT, I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO DRIVE. I'VE NOTICE OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE TOO, MILEAGE ON MY PATHFINDER IS ONLY 49,000. IT'S VERY STRESSFUL YIELDING ON TO HIGHWAYS AND PROCEEDING FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT I WAS STOPPED AT. ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT I GOT AN OIL CHANGE LAST WEEK. AFTER, DOING SO MY CAR SMELLED LIKE BURNING OIL AFTER DRIVING MORE THAN 500 MILES. I TOOK IT BACK TO THEM TO CHECK THAT EVERYTHING WAS DONE PROPERLY. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY OIL PAN IS RUSTED OUT AND MY OIL STICK NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. BECAUSE, THE RUBBER ON THE TOP OF THE DIP STICK IS WEARING. HE SAID THAT IS VERY UNCOMMON FOR THIS AGE OF A VEHICLE. PLEASE HELP!!

ALSO, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AFTER IDLING AND/OR WHEN THE PUSH TO START BUTTON WAS ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BROWNS AUTO WORLD (2634 HOPE MILLS RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28306, (910) 307-7361) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,529.
MY DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT CONTINUES TO GO OUT EVEN AFTER CHANGING THE BULB. WHEN THE BUILD IS CHANGED IT WORKS FOR A COUPLE MONTHS AND BURNS OUT AGAIN. I ALWAYS NOTICE THIS ISSUE IN THE MORNINGS WHEN FIRST ENTERING THE VEHICLE.
MY VEHICLE HAS A POWER LIFT GATE. THERE IS AN INTERNAL HINGE THAT CONNECTS THE STRUT/ARM TO THE LIFTGATE. THIS IS AN INTERNAL PIECE. THIS 'HINGE' SOMEHOW RUSTED AND SNAPPED. I BELIEVE IT'S CALLED THE 'STRUT MOUNT'. THEREFORE THE STRUT/ARM IS NO LONGER CONNECTED TO THE LIFTGATE. THE ENTIRE POWER LIFTGATE SYSTEM IS NOW INOPERABLE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THE ENTIRE POWER LIFTGATE SYSTEM HAS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF ALMOST $2,000.00. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO ASK FOR ASSISTANCE AND LOG A CASE. THE CASE # IS 33162218. NISSAN DECLINED ASSISTANCE. I FOUND A RECALL ON THE 2014-2016 NISSAN ROGUE MODELS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I BROUGHT THIS UP TO NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND IT DID NOT CHANGE THEIR POSITION. MY ARGUMENT IS: 1) THIS IS AN INTERNAL PART AND SHOULD NEVER HAVE RUSTED. 2) WHY DOES THIS 1 PART REQUIRE THE ENTIRE POWERLIFT GATE BE REPLACED? WHEN THIS FIRST HAPPENED, I WAS OPENING THE LIFTGATE (USING THE POWER FEATURE), IT GOT ABOUT 1/2 UP, STOPPED, THEN SLAMMED BACK DOWN. HOWEVER, IT DID NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY BECAUSE THE STRUT THAT BROKE FROM THE HINGE WAS LEFT EXTENDED, CAUSING THE LIFTGATE TO NOT BE CLOSED. THIS WAS ACTUALLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE MY ARM COULD HAVE BEEN TRAPPED WHEN THE LIFTGATE CLOSED UNEXPECTEDLY. I FOUND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE BUT NO OFFICIAL RECALLS.
BOTH SUNVISORS IN MY VEHICLE ARE BEING HELD UP WITH BUNGY CORDS BECAUSE THEY JUST FALL DOWN INTO YOUR FACE WHILE DRIVING. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS IS DUE TO THE MECHANISM THAT SUPPORTS THE SUNVISORS. IN ORDER TO HAVE REPAIRED NEW SUNVISORS HAVE TO BE INSTALLED WHICH COST 485.00 WITH LABOR. THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP THE SUN OUT OF YOUR EYES WHILE DRIVING AND IF YOU DO NOT TIE THEM UP WITH SOMETHING THEY JUST FALL FORWARD INTO YOUR FACE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN MY MAKE AND MODEL AND EVENTUALLY THERE WILL BE A RECALL. AFTER TALKING WITH NISSAN HEADQUARTERS TODAY 08 12 20 THERE IS NO RECALL YET AND TO CONTACT YOU.
WHEN EXCELERATING MY VEHICLE THE CAR SHAKES AND WILL GIVE OUT ON ME. VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN GETTING ONTO A HIGHWAY. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE DRIVE THE VEHICLE. WE ARE LOCATED IN SPOKANE WA. THIS IS APPARENTLY A KNOWN ISSUE WITH PATHFINDERS.
SEPT 2018 FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE BROKE; UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. MARCH 2016 FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE; WAS UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR FROM THE INSIDE.
THE DASHBOARD 'MILES REMAINING', GAS GAUGE READING, AND ACTUAL GAS REMAINING ARE NO LONGER IN SYNC.
CAR WAS DELIVERED NEW WITH FRONT HEADRESTS INSTALLED BACKWARDS. DRIVER'S VISOR WAS SNAPPING LOUDLY AND DROOPING FROM NEW. REPLACED 11/14/2014. OCS RECALL, ATTEMPTED REPAIR 4/23/2014, 11/14/14, 4/7/2015, 11/19/2015, 12/8/2015 AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT REMAINS ON ALWAYS, TO THIS DAY! HOOD HAS VIBRATED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SINCE NEW. RECALL FOR HOOD LATCH FIXED 4/7/2015. HOOD STILL VIBRATES. PASSENGER VISOR REPLACED 2/23/2017 FOR SAME AS DRIVER'S. DRIVER'S INNER DOOR HANDLE BROKE. COULDN'T OPEN FROM INSIDE. REPLACED 9/10/2018 AT COST OF $296.29. MULTIPLE EXTERIOR RUBBER AND PLASTIC TRIMS ARE LOOSE, COMING OFF, AND INTERIOR GASKET ON ONE REAR DOOR AND TAILGATE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO M'LADY NISSAN (5656 NORTHWEST HWY, CRYSTAL LAKE, IL 60014, (815) 459-2288) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND THEY AGREED TO COVER HALF OF THE REPAIR COST. THE REPAIR HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETED. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT CAUSED THE MANUFACTURER TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY FROM 60,000 TO 84,000 MILES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V380000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE RADIATOR MADE A LOUD NOISE. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED THAT THE FAN BLADE SHOOK AND STRUCK THE FAN SHROUD. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,000.

NISSAN YOU HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART AND THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT MAKES DRIVING HAZARDOUS.
THE SUN VISORS ON THE PATHFINDERS BREAK EASILY AND HANG IN THE DRIVER SIGHT. THIS CAUSES A MAJOR DISTRACTION. NISSAN WILL REPLACE THE BROKEN PART FOR $100 AND UP. ONLINE, THERE ARE DOZENS OF VIDEOS SHOWING CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS CHEAP PART BUT WILL NOT CORRECT.
I WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I MOVED THE DRIVERS SIDE SUNVISOR. A LOUD POP HAPPENED AND THE VISOR BROKE. IT WOULD NOT RETURN TO ITS STATIONARY PLACE AND HUNG IN FRONT OF MY FIELD OF VIEW. IT DANGLES INTERFERING WITH DRIVING.
AIRBAG LIGHT ON DASH BOARD STAYS ON. PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF.
THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. ON BOTH THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER DOORS, THE PLASTIC DOOR HANDLE HAS BROKEN ON MY VEHICLE (PICTURES ATTACHED), NOT ALLOWING YOU TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. TO EXIT THE VEHICLE YOU NEED TO LOWER THE WINDOW AND OPEN IT FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. THIS COULD PROVE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS IF YOU NEEDED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY AND THE PLASTIC HANDLE BREAKS. ALL THE PIECES OF THIS PART ARE PLASTIC AND THEY HANDLE HIGH LEVELS OF STRESS PULLING CABLES TO OPEN AND UNLOCK DOORS. YOUTUBE/GOOGLE IS FILLED WITH VIDEOS ON REPAIRING THESE BROKEN HANDLES AND PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FREQUENCY IN WHICH THEY BREAK.
THE SUNVISORS WILL NOT STAY UP AGAINST THE CEILING, OR AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD, AND DROP DOWN INTO MY LINE OF SIGHT WHEN I DON'T WANT THEM TO.
MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO MAKE A KNOCKING NOISE IN THE REAR WHEN TURNING. I TOOK THE CAR IN TO BE ASSESSED AND WAS SOLD A NEW SET OF REAR SHOCK-ABSORBERS. IT WAS IMMEDIATELY EVIDENT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED, SO I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY FOUND THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL WAS FAILING AND SHARDS OF METAL HAD BROKEN OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT ABOUT 50000 MILES.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR IS DEFECTIVE. I BARELY USED THIS AND IT WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE, WHICH MAKES IT A HAZARD WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE IT WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE. NISSAN YOU HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART AND THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT MAKES DRIVING HAZARDOUS.
MY BRAKE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF. IT CAUSED MY CAR TO STALL AS I WAS DRIVING, IT EVENTUALLY SHUT OFF AND DRAINED MY BATTERY. IT WAS REALLY SCARY. I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. AS A RESULT THEY REPLACED MY SWITCH ASSY. STOP LAMP AND RELAY. I WAS REALLY UPSET TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT I DID NOT CAUSE. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE WAS A RECALL OUT FOR THE SAME MODEL, MAKE AND OF MY CAR I DID SHARE WITH THE NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE MY ISSUE.
SUN VISOR ON PASSENGER SIDE FELL DOWN WHILE DRIVING

MY EXTERIOR BRAKE LIGHTS SEEM TO BE STUCK IN THE 'ON' POSITION. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I CANNOT FULLY ACCELERATE, I'M ABLE TO SWITCH THE GEAR FROM PARK TO REVERSE WITHOUT APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE IGNITION CAN ALSO BE STARTED WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING PRESSED. THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS REMAI ON EVEN AFTER THE TRUCK AS BEEN TURNED OFF.
THE SUN VISORS ON BOTH THE DRIVERS AND PASSENGER SIDE WILL NOT STAY UP WHILE DRIVING THE PLASTIC SUPPORTS ON BOTH SIDES HAVE CRACKED AND WILL NOT STAY IN THE PROPER POSITION. THIS CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD AS IF THE DO NOT STAY UP IT BLOCKS THE VISIBILITY AND ABILITY TO DRIVE SAFELY. I HAVE HAD TO REMOVE IT AS I DO NOT WANT TO HOLD IT UP WHILE DRIVING.
THE SUN VISORS HAVE ALWAYS NOT FULLY RETURNED TO THE POSITION WHEN CLOSED LIKE ALL OTHERS DO. HOWEVER, WITHOUT WARNING THE DRIVER'S SUN VISOR BROKE DURING VEHICLE OPERATION ON AN INTERSTATE. IMPEDING THE VISION OF THE DRIVER, DURING OPERATION, IS EXCEEDINGLY DANGEROUS. I HAD TO DRIVE WITH ONE HAND HOLDING THE VISOR IN PLACE.
THE DRIVER SIDE VISOR BROKE. AT TIME OF PURCHASE, BOTH VISORS MADE A LOUD CLICKING SOUND WHEN THEY WERE PULLED DOWN OR PUSHED UP. THE PLASTIC ATTACHED TO THE HINGE BROKE. AFTER LOOKING UP THIS ISSUE ONLINE, IT APPEARS THAT SEVERAL THOUSAND PEOPLE HAD SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THEIR NISSAN PATHFINDERS. THE BROKEN PLASTIC PREVENTS THE VISOR FROM BEING PUSHED ALL OF THE WAY UP, THUS CAUSING THE DRIVER'S VISION BEING PARTIALLY BLOCKED.
'TAMARA RECALL.' PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS LIT ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN AN ADULT SITS IN SEAT.
DRIVER SIDE SUNVISOR BEGAN POPPING UPON CLOSURE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. WITHIN THE LAST WEEK, IT HAS COMPLETELY BROKEN AND WILL NO LONGER STAY UPRIGHT. THIS IS CAUSING LIMITED VISIBILITY AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
TWICE ON THIS DATE I WAS COMPLETLY STOPED FIRST TIME AT A RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AND MY VEHICLE SHUTTERED FOR A FEW SECONDS AND DID NOT INCREASE SPEED'SECOND TIME AFTER REFUELING VEHICLE RESTARTED ENGINE SELECTED DRIVE ON TRANSMISSION TAPPED GAS AND VEHICLE SHUTTERED WITHOUT INCREASE IN SPEED. BOTH OCACIONS ROAD SURFACE WAS DRY AND VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE 2 WHEEL DRIVE
DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR STARTED COMING DOWN LAST YEAR THEN FINALLY BROKE. WE BOUGHT A NEW ONE AND INSTALLED IT FOR $100. THEN 6 MONTHS LATER THE PASSENGER SIDE BROKE. WE HAVE HIT OUR HEADS NUMEROUS TIMES AND OTHER PASSENGERS AS WELL. THEN, JUST 3 WEEKS AGO THE NEWLY INSTALLED DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR STARTED COMING DOWN. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AND PAINFUL WHEN COLLIDING WITH THE BROKEN SUN VISOR. NISSAN SHOULD GIVE RECALL ON THEIR 2014 PATHFINDER SUN VISORS. DURING DRIVING THE VISOR HANGS HALFWAY DOWN WHICH OBSTRUCTS THE DRIVING VIEW AND ALSO REDUCES DEPTH OF FIELD VISION FOR BRAKING PURPOSES.
