I purchased my car in March of 2018. It was still under the manufacturer warranty. Less than 3 months after having it and various trips to the dealership they had to rebuild my transmission. This was only at 46k miles. Fast forward to April of 2022 and my car is once again violently shuddering and has no power to pick up speed some times. I constantly pray that nothing happens to me or my family because of this. It is not safe. It does not shift correctly and shudders when it does decide to shift and then jerk into gear. There was a class action lawsuit apparently way before I purchased this car for these transmission issues. When I contacted Nissan directly and informed them of the issues I'm having yet again to which they informed me of some extended warranty that was in place for the Nissan Pathfinder that I was never informed of. Tired of paying out of pocket for an issue that Nissan is aware of. This is insane that people pay good money for vehicles and there has already been one class action lawsuit regarding these transmissions so what is it going to take before they recall the whole transmission? Is someone going to have to die before Nissan does what is right?
VEHICLES SHAKES AND SHUDDERS WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, ALSO BOTH INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES BROKE. CAR FEELS LIKE YOUR DRIVING ON THE ROUGH LINES ON THE HIGHWAY THEY USE TO WAKE YOU UP.
THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY IN UPRIGHT POSITION. IT IS BLOCKING THE DRIVERS VIEW OF THE ROAD.
SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS BROKE. HAD THE CAR 2 YEARS. BARELY EVER PULLED IT DOWN, ONLY WHEN THERE WAS A LOT OF SUN IN MY EYES AND I COULDN'T SEE. FOUND OUT ON LINE THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON 2014 MODELS. PEOPLE KEEP HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEM BREAKING, UNEXPECTEDLY. THERE IS NO RECALL. *TR
WHILE STATIONARY AND MOVING MY VEHICLE BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE STAYED ON EVEN WHEN I AM OUT OF THE CAR AND THE CAR IS OFF. I HAD AN INCIDENT IN WHICH THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS ABLE TO BE TURNED ON WITHOUT MY FOOT BEING ON THE PEDAL, AS IF THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ALREADY PRESSED. THE CAR STUTTERS TO ACCELERATE AFTER BRAKING. I WORKED TO HAVE THIS ADDRESSED THROUGH NISSAN AFTER SEEING A RECALL WITH SIMILAR ISSUES ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL. NISSAN REJECTED FIXING THE PROBLEM DUE TO MY VIN NUMBER NOT BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THAT RECALL. I HAD A DIAGNOSTIC RUN BY MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER WHICH STATED THAT THE BRAKE CONTROL AND PUSH BUTTON STATER SWITCH NEED REPLACING. I REFERENCE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V380000 AS SIMILAR TO MY CASE.
MY PATHFINDER HAS A KNOWN DEFECT. NISSAN HAS RELEASED TECHNICAL BULLETIN CLASSIFICATION RA09-004C WITH REFERENCE NUMBER NTB10-029C FROM NOVEMBER 16, 2015. THERE IS A VIBRATION OR JUDDER FEELING FROM THE REAR DRIVE TRAIN. THE ACTION REQUIRED IS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC CONTROLLED COUPLING. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ISSUED BY THE NHTSA. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY YOUNG CHILDREN. THERE IS A VIBRATION OR JUDDER FEELING FROM THE REAR WHEN MAKING TURNS, ON DRY ROADS, AT LOW SPEEDS (UNDER 40 MPH). THE REPAIR IS EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 3800 TO 5000 DOLLARS. THE NISSAN DEALER SAID THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND DRIVE SHAFT, THE CVT TRANS AXEL, AND REMOVAL OF THE VALVE ASSEMBLY.
THE VEHICLE FREQUENTLY FAILS TO ACCELERATE FOLLOWING THE APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES FOR A PERIOD OF 10-30 SECONDS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED ME THIS IS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE "BRAKE SWITCH" THAT IS COMMON IN THE PATHFINDER. THE DEFECT CAUSES AN UNSAFE AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY CONDITION WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC.
BOTH "SUN" VISORS ON VERGE OF BREAKING. WHEN PUTTING DOWN OR UP, THEY WILL MAKE A SNAPPING NOISE AND HANG LOOSELY. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING THEY WILL FLOP DOWN. VISORS NEVER STAY UP PROPERLY OR SAFELY. I'VE HAD IT FALL DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY. THEY ARE NOT SAFE! SPOKE WITH DEALERSHIP, THEY WANT TO CHARGE $400 FOR THEM TO BE FIXED. THE PAIR THAT'S BREAKING IS NOT SOLD SEPARATELY. I'VE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISORS FAILED AND WOULD NOT STAY SECURED. WHILE DRIVING, THE VISOR RANDOMLY FELL DOWN AND OBSTRUCTED THE VIEW OF THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (EDDIE TOURELLES NISSAN, 955 N. HWY 190, COVINGTON, LA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE SUN VISORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
WHEN I WENT TO OPEN DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE, THE DOOR DID NOT OPEN. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE HANDLE BROKE OFF ON THE INSIDE. I NOW HAVE TO OPEN MY WINDOW AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE.
THE SUN VISORS IN THE PATHFINDERS HAVE A PLASTIC HINGE ATTACHMENT THAT FAILS REGULARLY IN SEVERAL YEARS OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE THE SUN VISOR MAY NOT BE SAFETY CRITICAL EQUIPMENT, THE MODE OF FAILURE MAKES IT UNSAFE. WHEN IT FAILS, YOU ARE UNABLE RETURN IT TO NORMAL POSITION AND IT HANGS FULLY DOWN (AT LEAST IN MY CASE) OBSTRUCTING THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY. WHEN IT FAILED FOR ME, MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY, WITH VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC. I HAVE FIXED THE FAILED VISOR SO CAN'T PROVIDE A PICTURE.
I HAVE OWNED MY PATHFINDER FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BOTH VISORS WERE SAGGING AND DIDN'T FULLY RETRACT INTO PLACE. OVER THE LAST MONTH THE DRIVERS SIDE VISOR IS NOW TO THE POINT WHERE IT HANGS HALFWAY DOWN ALL OF THE TIME. I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THIS PROBLEM TO BE WHAT I CONSIDER AN EPIDEMIC. NOT ONLY ARE THE VISORS MANUFACTURED HORRIBLY BUT NOW CAUSE A HAZARD WHEN I AM DRIVING BECAUSE I CONTINUOUSLY HIT MY HEAD ON THE VISOR. NISSAN NEEDS TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER RECALLING ALL VISORS THAT ARE DESIGNED AS SUCH. I JUST SPENT ALMOST $200 TO FIX ONE VISOR FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. NOT HAPPY! I DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE TO SEND IN TODAY BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY FIXED THE VISOR BECAUSE IT WAS A HAZARD TO DRIVE.
MY TRANSMISSION JERKS EVERYTIME I TAKE OFF. FOR 47,000 MILES. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.
THE SUN VISORS IN MY 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER ARE MAKING A POPPING NOISE AND WILL NOT STAY IN THE CORRECT POSITION. THIS IS CAUSING A VISIBILITY PROBLEM WHEN DRIVING. THEY HAVE BEEN MAKING A POPPING NOISE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL NOT STAY UP AND THE DRIVER SIDE IS STARTING TO DROP.
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT (INDICATING AIRBAG OFF) REMAINS ON AT TIMES WHEN ADULT PASSENGER PRESENT. ALSO, LIGHT OFTEN GOES OFF WHEN NO PASSENGER PRESENT. THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT IT SHOULD BE. CAR HAS BEEN RETURNED TO DEALER MANY TIMES, BUT PROBLEM PERSISTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (DON WILLIAMSON NISSAN, 310 WESTERN BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, NC 28546), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 30054913. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD AN UNIDENTIFIABLE ABNORMAL NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL RAY NISSAN (2724 N US HIGHWAY 17-92, LONGWOOD, FL 32755) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAN AND SHROUD ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
THE BATTERY WOULD NOT STAY LOCKED IN PLACE AND THIS SEEMED TO IMPACT THE MILEAGE STARTING OVER AND DID NOT KEEP ACCURATE AMOUNT OF GAS IN VEHICLE. MY TRANSMISSION WAS GOING OUT; FELT AS IF SOMETHING WAS BEING DRAGGED WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE TIRES TWICE SINCE BUYING THE VEHICLE EVEN WITH GETTING ROTATIONS EVERY OTHER OIL CHANGE.
NISSAN ISSUED A "CAMPAIGN" DUE TO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT WHERE THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS MALFUNCTIONED WHICH CAUSE SHUDDERING IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE WHILE DRIVING AT 20MPH. AFTER BRINGING THE ISSUE TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALERSHIP THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. ON 2/28/17 THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY IMMOBILIZED ON THE INTERSTATE IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC NEARLY CAUSING A TRAGIC ACCIDENT INVOLVING BOTH MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN. NISSAN FAILED TO SEND CORRESPONDENCE ADVISING OF THE CTV UPDATE WHICH CAUSED THE ISSUE TO GO UNRESOLVED AND ULTIMATELY CAUSING THE FAIL OF THE TRANSMISSION. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE RECTIFIED WITH MODELS CONTAINING THE CTV TRANSMISSION. NISSAN HAS JUST ADVISED THE TOTAL COST OF REPAIRS WOULD COST ME A TOTAL $4,800.00 FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE OF SENDING THE PROPER CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING THE CAMPAIGN. THEY SHOULD BUY BACK THIS CAR AND ALL OTHERS LIKE IT AS THIS CAN CAUSE TRAGIC ACCIDENTS.
ON FEBRUARY 27, 2018 I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH ALONG A HIGHWAY. SUDDENLY I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT GOING OFF AND THEN GLASS FELL INTO MY CAR, SOME ON ME FROM THE SUNROOF. THE ENTIRE SUNROOF EXPLODED. I HAVE TAKEN PICTURES BECAUSE THE SMALL AMOUNT OF GLASS AROUND THE OUTSIDE EDGES WAS PUSHED OUTWARDS LIKE AN EXPLOSION FROM PRESSURE OF SOME SORT. AFTER CALLING MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THIS IS NOT A NISSAN PROBLEM AND NOT COVERED BECAUSE MY WARRANTY MILEAGE AND TIME HAS EXPIRED. THIS IS A NISSAN PROBLEM BECAUSE GLASS SHOULD NOT EXPLODE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THANK GOODNESS I DID NOT LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SHOCK OF THE SITUATION.
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF, AND WHEN THE ENGINE IS ON, THE BRAKE LIGHTS STILL STAY ON EVEN WHEN THE BRAKES AREN'T BEING PRESSED. ALSO, SOMETIMES THE CAR WON'T ACCELERATE WHEN YOU PUSH THE GAS PEDAL. THIS OCCURS AFTER YOU HIT THE BRAKES, AND WHEN IT HAPPENS, THE VEHICLE WON'T GO OVER 20 MPH.
SUN VISORS ON 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER NEED TO BE RECALLED, DEFINITELY A SAFETY HAZARD. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE VISORS WILL NOT STAY UP, OBSTRUCTING VISIBILITY. HAVE NOTED MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS. COME ON NISSAN; WE HAVE DRIVEN YOUR AUTOMOBILES FOR 25 YRS NOW. DO WE HAVE TO HAVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE FAILED TO UNLOCK WITH THE KEY FOB OR THE LIFTGATE LATCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COURTESY NISSAN (LOCATED AT 1777 N CENTRAL EXPY, RICHARDSON, TX 75080, (972) 231-2600) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MODULE AND SPINDLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING APPROX 20 MPH I BUMPED AGAINST THE CURB ON THE ROAD I WAS DRIVING. THIS INSIGNIFICANT BUMP CAUSED THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG AND PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. MY WIFE AND SON WERE TAKEN TO THE ER. VEHICLE WAS NOT STRUCK, NO BODY DAMAGE, SOME CURB RASH ON THE WHEELS. OVER AGGRESSIVE AIR BAG INFLATION.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE
MY VEHICLE IS REPORTING TO ME THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS OFF. EVEN WHEN A PASSENGER IS SEATED IN THE SEAT AND THE VEHICLE IS DRIVER, THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. IT CAME ON 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE AND THE DEALER STATES THEY WILL HAVE TO CHARGE ME TO CHECK THE ISSUE. IT SEEMS THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL PATHFINDER. THE LIGHT DOES NOT TURN OFF. IVE TRIED RESETTING TRICKS AND STILL NO RESULT.
I HAVE NOTICED THIS FOR AWHILE, BUT IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE. I AM NOW AT 6800 MILES, AND WHEN I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY LAST NIGHT, MY GAS GAUGE READ THAT I HAD 86 MILES TO EMPTY. THIS MORNING, TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL, I ALL OF A SUDDEN HAD 56 MILES TO EMPTY. WHEN I GOT TO THE STOP LIGHT NOT EVEN A MILE AWAY WITH THE SCHOOL TO MY LEFT, MY LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON, AND BY THE TIME I TURNED INTO THE PARKING LOT, 2 MINUTES LATER, MY ELECTRONIC GAUGE WAS BLINKING AT ME AND THE ACTUAL GAS GAUGE WAS AT 0. I THEN HAD TO WAIT IN THE DROP OFF LINE HOPING I WOULDN'T RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE I WAS DROPPING THEM OFF. (I WOULD OF TOTALLY RUINED THEIR LIVES HAHA!) I WAS SO NERVOUS DRIVING, TRYING TO MAKE IT TO THE GAS STATION. I MADE IT. FILLED ALL THE WAY UP AND IT ONLY ALLOWED ME TO FILL UP 15 GALLONS. NOT MY NORMAL 16. SO APPARENTLY IT JUST WANTED TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK EARLY THIS MORNING. HOW AM I EVEN SUPPOSED TO KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE LEFT? GUESS? JUST KEEP IT TOPPED OFF EVERY [XXX] DAY? DUMB. THE SUN VISOR IS TOO BIG AND HEAVY TO STAY FIRM ALL THE WAY UP, ONLY1 INCH AND HALF ITS SUPPORT ALL THE VISOR SO THATS ITS TOO SMALL FOR THAT HEAVIEST.
MY DRIVERS SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ALL OF A SUDDEN BROKE. I HAD TO CRAWL OUT OF MY CAR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO EXIT/ENTER MY VEHICLE. AND, MY DRIVERS SIDE VISOR IS BROKEN AND HANGS DOWN--OBSTRUCTING MY VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. BOTH PROBLEMS OCCURRED AT 53,000 MILES AND ARE A SAFETY HAZARD. BOTH PROBLEMS ALSO SEEM TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE NISSAN PATHFINDER AND OF COURSE ARE NOT COVERED WHEN BASIC WARRANTY EXPIRES AT 36,000 MILES.
THE SUN VISORS IN MY 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER SV ARE DEFECTIVE AND WILL NOT STAY IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN IN THAT AS I AM DRIVING THE SUN VISOR FALLS DOWN AND COVERS MY VIEW OF THE ROAD, THUS CAUSING A POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITION. A REVIEW OF ONLINE COMPLAINTS HAS INDICATED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MANY 2014 & NEWER NISSAN PATHFINDERS. THE MECHANISMS THAT HOLDS THE SUN VISOR UP CRACKS AND WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY. THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP THE SUN VISORS IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE SAFELY. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY NISSAN IMMEDIATELY AS THE CONDITION CAN HAPPEN RANDOMLY AS THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN AND SUDDENLY THE SUN VISOR DROPS IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER CAUSING A HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITION.
CVT CHANGES NEUTRAL FROM DRIVING POSITIONS CONTACTED THE DEALER AND NISSAN CONSUMERS AGENCY THEY TOLLS ME THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING
PISTON ATTACHMENT TO DOOR ON AUTOMATIC TRUNK OPENER BROKE. UNABLE TO HOLD LIFTGATE OPEN.
MODEL YRS 2013-2016 NISSANS. DRIVER SUNVISOR MANUFACTURED WITH BRITTLE PLASTIC FRAME BREAKS CAUSING THE SUNVISOR TO SUDDENLY, WITHOUT WARNING DROP DOWN AND OBSTRUCT THE DRIVERS VIEW OF THE ROADWAY AHEAD. COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS LEADING TO POSSIBLE INJURY OR FATALITY. THOUSANDS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED AT OWNERS EXPENSE. VERY COMMON DEFECT ON THE ABOVE YEAR VEHICLES. OURS HAS HAD TO BE DUCT TAPED TO THE HEADLINER TO KEEP IT OUT OF OUR VISION.
VISORS DO NOT STAY IN THE UP POSITION. BECOME LOOSE AND FALL WHILE DRIVING CAUSING VISUAL IMPAIRMENT TO THE DRIVER.
I STARTED SEEING THE AIRBAG INDICATOR FLASHING ON MY DASHBOARD. I TOOK IT TO NISSAN CAR DEALER. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A WATER BOTTLE THAT ROLLED UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT AND CAUSED THE SENSOR TO BREAK. I BELIEVE THAT IS A BAD DESIGN FROM NISSAN, THAT ALLOWS A CRITICAL SENSOR TO BREAK EASILY BY A SOFT WATER BOTTLE THAT ROLLED UNDER THE SEAT, CAUSE THE AIRBAG NOT TO DEPLOY, WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES TO ME OR A FAMILY MEMBER SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THERE IS A RECALL ALREADY RELATED TO THAT SENSOR, THAT CAN CAUSE THE AIRBAG NOT TO DEPLOY, BUT I THINK PROTECTING THE SENSOR UNDER THE SEAT IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE, THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR SOMETIME BEFORE NOTICING THAT THERE MIGHT BE AN AIRBAG ISSUE.

ANYWAY--WE CONTINUED TO COMPLAIN TOT HE SERVICE CENTER ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION AND EVERY TIME WE WERE TOLD THERE WERE NO ISSUES. WELL WE TOOK THE CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGE AS WE HAVE DONE SINCE DAY ONE AND TOLD THEM AGAIN ABOUT THE TRANSMISSIO. THIS TIME (WE WERE OUT OF WARRANTY) THEY CODED IT FOR GUESS WHAT? THE TRANSMISSION WITH A WHOPPING PRICE TAG OF $8k. I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER TRYING TO GET RESOLVE. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS--I CANT MERGE INTO TRAFFIC BC IT IS TOO SLUGGISH IT STALLS OUT AND WILL NOT SHIFT AT A LOW SPEED---AND TO COMPLICATE MATTERS WORSE-- THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT NISSAN JUST SETTLED IN THE FALL FOR OVER $277mm FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES---WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE SUIT. i REALLY NEED SOME HELP AS NO ONE IS TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY.

ADDITIONALLY THIS OCCURRED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE IT WOULD SIGNIFICANT HURT A PASSENGER IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. I RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE AS WELL AS TALKED TO THE DEALER AND THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD AND KNOWN ISSUE. I HAVE ATTACHED A PICTURE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE BEFORE I GOT IT FIXED AT MY OWN COST. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS ITS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO KEEP THE VISOR OUT OF THE WAY ONCE THE VISOR BREAKS.
BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED AT ABOUT 60,000 MILES. AROUND 64,000 MILES, BOTH SUN VISORS FELL TO THE DOWN POSITION AND WILL NO LONGER STAY FOLDED UP. IMPAIRS VISION OF DRIVER. THIS WAS NOT RELATED TO AN ACCIDENT OR ANY TYPE OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
