I STARTED NOTICING A SLIGHT SLIP IN THE TRANSMISSION WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT BECAUSE IT WAS A NEW VEHICLE. THEN I WOULD NOTICE SHAKING PERIODICALLY ON THE FREEWAY; THINKING IT WAS THE ROAD. NOW, FAST FORWARD MY CAR OBVIOUSLY HAS A BIGGER ISSUE. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND MY CAR BEGAN TO SPUDDER AND JERK AND FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO LOSE POWER. I IMMEDIATELY EXITED THE FREEWAY AND TOOK THE STREETS WORRIED IT WAS GOING TO FALL APART ON ME. I DROVE A FEW MILES AND JUMPED BACK ON THE FREEWAY THINKING IT WOULD GO AWAY. NOPE! SAME THING HAPPENED AND I WAS EXTREMELY FRIGHTENED THAT I WAS GOING TO GET SMASHED FROM BEHIND. THE SPUDDER FEELS AS IF YOU ARE GOING OFF ROADING. THIS OCCURRED ON THE FREEWAY WHEN PROCEEDING TO ACCELERATE AFTER SLOWING IN TRAFFIC. I THOUGHT FOR SURE I WAS BREAKING DOWN AND MY VEHICLE WAS STALING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN VISOR FRACTURED AND BLOCKED HER VISIBILITY. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE FRACTURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
SUN VISORS FOR BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDES. BOTH DON'T STAY UP AND BECAME LOOSE AND FALL DOWN. I NEVER IN 20 YEARS HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH A SUN VISOR. I FEAR FOR MINE AND MY FAMILY LIFE WITH THIS DANGER. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL OR INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. PLEASE SEARCH THE INTERNET AND YOU WILL SEE MANY COMPLAINTS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.

SUN VISORS IN THE CAR FALL DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS CAUSES THE REDUCED FIELD OF VISION TO FORWARD OR SIDE TRAFFIC AND ALSO POSES AT GREAT RISK DURING COLLISION. THESE DEFECTIVE SUN VISORS NEED TO BE RECALLED. THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ON GOING ACROSS MULTIPLE VEHICLES IN THE PRODUCT LINE WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF USE. MULTIPLE INCIDENTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED.
WAS NOTIFIED OF NHTSA RECALL 16V-244 IN EARLY JUNE 2016 OF A PROBLEM WITH ENGAGING FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG. THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM WAS INITIALLY NOTED BY ME (OWNER) IN NOVEMBER 2013. NISSAN SUPPORSEDLY RELOADED SOFTWARE WHICH SOLVED PROBLEM, EVEN THOUGH WE CONTINUED TO HAVE INDICATION FROM DASHBOARD LIGHT OF NON-ENGAGEMENT WHEN SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. NOW ALMOST TWO YEAR LATER WE RECEIVE THIS RECALL NOTICE. SCHEDULED RECALL FIX APPOINTMENT WITH PRIORITY NISSAN CHANTILLY SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR 6/29/16 AND WAS RECONFIRMED FOR APPOINTMENT BY DEALERSHIP ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. UPON ARRIVAL AT SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT (0800, 6/29/16) WAS RUDELY INFORMED BY DEALERSHIP THAT NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE FOR FIX. LOST TIME AND NOT FIX AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS AND NOW TWO MONTHS FROM FORMAL RECALL NOTICE. DEALERSHIP DIDN'T SEEM TO BE CONCERNED WITH MY CONCERN. NOW I ASK FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN DETERMINING WHETHER MY VEHICLE IS SAFE FOR A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT, WHEN AIRBAG DOES NOT ENGAGE. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT IS NISSAN USA DOING TO ASSURE DEALERSHIPS ARE TAKING THIS RECALL SERIOUSLY AND WHAT ACTIONS TO OBTAIN APPROPRIATE PARTS FOR FIX ARE BEING TAKEN.

I PURCHASED A 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER AS USED VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER 2015. SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE MY WIFE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE VEHICLE SHUDDERING AT LOW SPEED OR WHEN TURNING. THIS SHUDDERING HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT AND NOW HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS CRUISING DOWN THE ROAD. WE HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL SHOW THAT THERE IS NO BODY IN THE SEAT EVEN WHEN THERE IS SOMEONE SITTING IN THE SEAT. THE FIRST TIME WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THE MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THE ISSUES THAT WE HAD COMMUNICATED TO THEM AD DISMISSED OUR CLAIMS. CONTACTING DEALERSHIP 6/6 TO HAVE VEHICLE ISSUES CHECKED AGAIN.
THE COMPANY HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE A FIX FOR THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS). THIS IS PUTTING THE PASSENGER AT RISK OF FATAL INJURY OR RENDERS THE VEHICLE USELESS. I FEEL THEY HAVE HAD MORE THAN ADEQUATE TO GET THIS FIX REMIDIED. IF THEY CANNOT DO SO I WOULD LIKE THEM TO BUY BACK OUR VEHICLE.

THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP AND SEVERELY HINDERS FORWARD VISIBILITY. THE HINGE MECHANISM IS BROKEN. THIS FAILURE HAPPENS 100% OF THE TIME AND IS NOT RELATED TO THE VEHICLE BEING STATIONARY OR MOVING.

RECALL 16V-244. I WAS NOTIFIED IN MAY ABOUT THIS RECALL BY NISSAN BUT NO PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. THIS IS AN AIR-BAG SAFETY ISSUE. NISSAN NEEDS TO MADE THIS RECALL A HIGHER PRIORITY.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE- MY VEHICLE HAS HAD A SHUDDER WHEN TURNING AND AT LOW SPEEDS SINCE DAY ONE, AND IT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW. IT NOW HAS 38,000 MILES. EACH TIME I BROUGHT IT IN FOR THE SHUDDER, THE DEALER WOULD BLAME IT ON SOME 'OTHER' ISSUE. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR, I HAVE REPLACED THE TIRES 2 TIMES AT THE ADVICE OF THE DEALER (YES, THEY TRIED TO BLAME IT ON THE TIRES) AND HAVE HAD THE BRAKES REPLACED AT THEIR ADVICE. NONE OF THAT FIXED THE SHUDDER. I'VE SPENT A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS PROVING THAT. LAST WEEK IT WAS AT THE DEALER FOR 4 DAYS, AND THEY ADMITTED THERE IS STILL A SHUDDER, WHICH IS CONSTANT AND GETS WORSE WHEN GOING UPHILL, BUT SAID IT IS BECAUSE MY TIRES ARE "SQUARE". BRAND NEW TIRES THEY JUST TALKED ME INTO BUYING. THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING MORE THEY WILL DO AND ASKED ME TO COME GET MY VEHICLE . THIS IS THE FOURTH DEALERSHIP MY CAR HAS BEEN TO. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND NOT 2 BLOCKS DOWN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 10 MPH IT STARTED VIOLENTLY JERKING AND NO AMOUNT OF GAS WOULD MAKE IT GO. IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, WITH MY BABY IN THE BACK SEAT. IT DID THE SAME THING SEVERAL MORE TIMES ON THE WAY BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEIR MECHANIC DROVE IT AND AGAIN, IT IMMEDIATELY JERKED VIOLENTLY AS HE FIRST PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL- HE DID NOT EXPERIENCE IT STALL (OR SAID HE DIDN'T ). NOW THEY ADMIT IT IS NOT TIRES AND SAID THEY NEED THE COMPUTER TO VERIFY THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. THEY WON'T FIX IT UNLESS THE COMPUTER SAYS THERE IS AN ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT DRIVABLE. NISSAN CORPORATE CALLED ME TODAY TO SAY THE COMPUTER SAYS THERE IS NO ISSUE AND TOLD ME I HAVE TO RETURN THE LOANER CAR AND PICK MY BROKEN DOWN PATHFINDER BACK UP. NO REPAIR WILL BE PERFORMED, SINCE THE "COMPUTER" ISN'T GETTING A FAULT CODE. SO I AM STUCK WITH A $40,000 HUNK OF JUNK THAT I CAN'T DRIVE OR EVEN SELL. CORPORATE EVEN SAID THAT IF IT IS NOT DRIVABLE, I SHOULD TOW IT AWAY.
SOMEONE RAN INTO MY CAR AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND CAUSED A MILD CONCUSSION AND BURNED ON MY CHEST AREA. ALSO, THE SEATBELTS CAME LOOSE UPON IMPACT. WE WERE TURNING LEFT AND SOMEONE RAN A RED LIGHT AND HIT THE SIDE OF THE PATHFINDER.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG TURNS OFF WITH ADULT SITTING IN PASSENGER SEAT. THE MALFUNCTION OCCURS WHEN SITTING STILL OR IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 6 TIMES FOR THE ISSUE. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RECALL WAS THE FIRST ATTEMPT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THREE ATTEMPTS LATER NISSAN DIRECTED THE DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE ALL COMPONENTS FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND THE PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED. OF NOTE, THE DEALERSHIP IS VERY COURTEOUS, PROVIDES ME WITH A LOANER VEHICLE EACH TIME, BUT ACTS LIKE MY CAR IS THE ONLY NISSAN TO EVER HAVE THIS PROBLEM. 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER PLATINUM 4WD 30,000 MILES
THE COMPUTER IN MY 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER CONTINUED TO PRESENT DIFFICULTIES. THESE MALFUNCTIONS WERE DOCUMENTED WITH NISSAN AND THE COMPUTER WAS IN FACT REPLACED. WE WERE IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH NISSAN TO WARRANTY THE COMPUTER WITH THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. ON APRIL 1, 2016 MY WIFE STARTED THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY AND WENT INSIDE TO LET IT WARM UP. WHEN SHE WENT OUT (APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES LATER) THE VEHICLE WAS GONE. IT HAD SLIPPED INTO DRIVE ON ITS OWN AND GONE STRAIGHT DOWN INTO THE WOODS, TAKING OUT TWO TREES AND HITTING A TELEPHONE POLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. NISSAN'S FINDING WERE THAT THE BLACK BOX WITHIN THE VEHICLE DID NOT SHOW ANYTHING AND, THEREFORE, THEY WERE NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. WE HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE DIFFICULTIES WITH THE VEHICLE LEADING UP THE COLLISION.
TAMARA RECALL COMPLAINT REGARDING 2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER TRANSMISSION DEFECTS VEHICLE SHUTTERS AND JERKS WHILE DRIVING 20 TO 30 MILES. VEHICLE FEELS LIKE IT MIGHT STOP ON HIGHWAY WHILE MERGING INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO INFORMING ME OF AN AIRBAG ISSUE. THE LETTER STATED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO FIX THE ISSUE AND A 2ND LETTER WOULD BE SENT WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. REFERENCE RECALL 16V-224. I FIND IT COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO HAVE RECALL AND HAVE T WAIT OVER 6 MONTHS TO RECEIVE PARTS TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. MEANWHILE I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A CAR THAT HAS AN AIRBAG ISSUE
I PURCHASED MY NISSAN PATHFINDER AND NISSAN ROGUE NEW IN 2014. ALMOST ALL RECOMMENDED SERVICE HAS BEEN DONE AT BANISTER NISSAN OF CHESAPEAKE, 930 N BATTLEFIELD BLVD, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23320 DEALERSHIP. AT APPROXIMATELY 30,000 MILES THE PATHFINDER BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY DURING ACCELERATION BETWEEN 15MPH AND 30MPH. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND HESITATES ON BOTH VEHICLES. DETAILS OF THIS PROBLEM HAVE BEEN SHARED REPEATEDLY WITH DEALERSHIP ADVISORS AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. AT FIRST TECHNICIANS CLAIMED NOT HAVE NOTICED ANY TREMBLING / ISSUES DURING TEST DRIVES WITH THE PATHFINDER. THEN EACH TIME I BROUGHT IT IN FOR THE SHUDDER, THE DEALER WOULD BLAME IT ON OTHER ISSUES. I HAVE REPLACED THE TIRES, BRAKES, AND ROTORS SEVERAL TIMES AT THE ADVICE OF THE DEALER. NONE OF THAT FIXED THE SHUDDER. NISSAN HAD A RECALL FOR A DEFECTIVE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE VALVE BODY WAS REPLACED ON BOTH VEHICLES; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. BANISTER NISSAN OF CHESAPEAKE DID NOT INFORMED ME UNTIL AFTER THE PATHFINDER WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THAT TRANSMISSION WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. I REQUESTED ASSISTANCE FROM THE NISSAN MANUFACTURER AS ADVISED BY THE DEALERSHIP SINCE I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PROBLEMS FOR SO LONG. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS HAD BEEN REPAIRED. AFTER RETURNING HOME WITH THE CAR OVER 170 MILES, THE 2ND DAY (RAINY MORNING) WHILE TRAVELING WITH MY TWO DAUGHTERS, HOOD BLEW BACK (BENDING BOTH SIDES), WHICH BLINDED MY VISIBILITY, THUS FORCING ME TO STEER OFF THE ROAD TO AVOID HITTING OTHERS. THE DEALER WAS NOT RESPONSIVE AND I CONTACTED NISSAN HEADQUARTERS. AFTER 2-WEEKS, AN INVESTIGATOR CAME AND RULED THAT THE HOOD WAS NOT REPAIRED PROPERLY. IT TOOK NEARLY 4-ADDITIONAL WEEKS TO PROCESS PAPERWORK. AFTER 6-WEEKS OF PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR CAR RENTALS (THEY WOULD NOT PAY NOR ASSIST ME WITH GETTING A RENTAL CAR) WHICH CAUSED FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; EMOTIONAL DISTRESS (EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS AND SEVERAL DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS); AND NOT TO MENTION TWO PAID CAR NOTES WITHOUT THE CAR. NISSAN HEADQUARTERS CALLED TO INFORM ME THEY CAN ONLY REPAIR THE CAR AGAIN AND REFUND ME MY CAR RENTAL FEES. THE VEHICLE ISN'T DESIGNED TO PICK UP AN INDIVIDUAL OF THAT STATURE 100% OF THE TIME. I BELIEVE THIS IS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS AND THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO EXPAND THEIR PREVIOUS RECALL. I HAD TO PULL OFF THE INTERSTATE, HAVE HIM GET OUT AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS PAST WEEKEND WITH MYSELF AS THE PASSENGER ( GROWN ADULT 5'6", 140 LBS). TODAY I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR, BUT WAS TOLD THEY COULDNT COME UP WITH ANY DIAGNOSTIC CODES AND " THAT THIS IS HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS, THERE IS NO WEIGHT LIMITATION ON THE SYSTEM AND IF YOU SHIFT IN THE SEATS IT COULD TURN OFF THE AIRBAG, AND THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND HOW THE SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED". I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY ANYONE DRIVING IN THIS CAR AS A PASSENGER. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE TO ME THAT THIS CAN BE CONSIDERED "NORMAL".
