I don't have any problem with my car but the dealer is taking to long to fix the recall i need to register my vehicle 4/22/2026
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2007 Nissan Quest. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of the purchase, the mileage was 177,000. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine overheated and the vehicle lost automotive power. The contact made several attempts to restart the vehicle and continued driving. During one failure, the vehicle failed to start, and the vehicle was towed to the residence. The failure became more persistent over time and had occurred approximately five times. The vehicle failed to start and had to be towed twice. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start and went into LIMP Mode. Several attempts were needed to start the vehicle. While driving at approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle continued to go into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was restarted several times and driven to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was inspected by a certified mechanic, who discovered that the vehicle had been subjected to odometer fraud. The mechanic informed the contact that the actual mileage on the vehicle was 230,000. The contact reached out to the Griffin Police Department, reported the odometer fraud, and was then informed to fill out a small claims case.
Check engine light came on and says fuel level sensor circuit a low
The ceiling panel fell down inside the van. Thank goodness there was no one sitting in my back seats. They would have seriously been injured or even killed. The panel is very heavy.
Sometimes when I press on the brakes the steering wheel shakes. It’s inconsistent and I can’t pinpoint actually causes to avoid it happening. It’s never been serviced or has never shown a service indicator
1. Fuel Gauge- the fuel Hague is incorrect. I suspect somewhere between 1/2 tank and 3/8 tank will actually be an empty tank. I was almost left stranded when I could make it to the next service station. The car performed slow and the car came to a slow stop. No fuel indicator light came on. 2. My steering wheel has been very difficult to turn. Suddenly the power steering tank requires daily service. There is a rattling noise that gets a little better when I pour power steering fluid. I am unable to make safe turns due to the steering wheel no moving at it’s normal rate. Turning at intersections is the worst as I sometimes have to try several attempts. I end up having to take wide turns and that is not always safe in our narrow streets. There is no indicator light related to this concern.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER WALSER NISSAN WAYZATA (15906 WAYZATA BLVD, WAYZATA, MN 55391, (612) 426-6995) AND MADE THE DEALER AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,500.
I JUST REPLACED ALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS ON MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THEY HAVE GONE BAD AGAIN. AFTER LOOKING UP MANY FORUMS ONLINE, THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE AND POSSIBLE DESIGN FLAW. WHY HAS THIS NOT BECOME A RECALL ON NISSAN'S PART? ARE MOTOR MOUNTS NOT A CONCERN? EVERYONE IS STATING THAT NO MATTER WHAT THEY USE, EITHER AFTERMARKET OR GENUINE NISSAN PARTS, THEY ALL FAIL.
FUEL GAUGE SENSOR WAS BROUGHT IN FOR RECALL BUT ISSUE STILL EXISTS. DEALER CLAIMS I NEED TO PAY TO DETERMINE IF IT IS STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. DEALER ALSO CONFIRMED THEY DO NOT VERIFY THE RECALL WORK DONE WAS SUCCESSFUL. ALL THEY ARE REQUIRED TO DO IS "PUT IN THE NEW PARTS". WHEN I FILL THE TANK WITHIN 5 MINS. IT GOES BACK TO EMPTY ON THE GAS GAUGE. THE RECALL DID NOTHING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE. WHEN GAUGE SHOWS 1/4 TANK RAN OUT GAS.
MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST WITH144,500 MILES, HAS A REAL BAD CLUNKING SOUND WHEN ACCELERATING, DECELERATING, OR TAKING OFF FROM A STANDSTILL. A MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT IS FROM BAD MOTOR MOUNTS. WHEN ACCELERATING OR BRAKING, THE MOTOR MOVES A LOT. IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY MORE NOISES WHEN TURNING, MAINLY WIN BRAKING AND ACCELERATING, BUT ALSO WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS UP OR DOWN A GEAR.
THE GAS GAUGE MUST BE FAULTY. IF I FILL UP MAY MOVE OR NOT. USUALLY SHOWS EMPTY. THE VAN MAY BE MOVING OR SITTING STILL . I CALLED NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY BECAUSE HAS THE SAME ISSUE AS THE 68,000 VANS THAT WERE REPAIRED. I THINK THE PART IS CALLED SENDER UNIT.
SEVERE SUB-FRAME ROT ONLY ON PASSENGER SIDE. BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS A VERY COMMON ISSUE. DRIVER SIDE APPEARS FINE. APPEARS A/C DRIP IS SUSPECT, AND THE FRAME JUST ROTS DIRECTLY BELOW IT. ONLINE SEARCH REVEALED NUMEROUS EXACT COMPLAINTS. ALL OTHER COMPONENTS ARE SOLID. HOW IS THIS NOT A SAFETY RECALL? *TR
AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AND DRIVING HOME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE VEHICLE ENGINE REVED UP BUT DIDN'T MOVE THEN IT CONTINUED TO DRIVE EVERY NOW AND THEN IT DID THIS . NO HORN NO AIR BAGS SUSPENSION THEN FELT FUNNY.

THE CONTACT CALLED FERMAN NISSAN AT (913) 933-6641 (LOCATED AT 11001 N FLORIDA AVE, TAMPA, FL 33612) AND WAS INFORMED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR FEES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.

THE CONTACT CALLED PASSPORT NISSAN OF MARLOW HEIGHTS DEALER ((301) 423-8400, 5500 AUTH WAY, MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD 20746) AND WAS INFORMED, THE VIN WAS NOT PART OF A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT PART OF A RECALL AND DID NOT OFFER FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALL PRO NISSAN OF DEARBORN (24501 MICHIGAN AVE, DEARBORN, MI 48124, 313-749-3200) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SYMPTOMS RECURRED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 151,457. **TR THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS CHARGED FOR A RECALL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE OF CHARGE. THERE ARE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE VIBRATING FRONT END, AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING, BUT THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *TR
THE FUEL METER DON'T SHOW THE FUEL MEASUREMENT.
MY VAN HAS 120K MILES ON IT. FOR THE PAST ONE YEAR, I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A RATTLE SOUND IN THE ENGINE. IT COMES ON A COLD START AND WOULD GO AWAY AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES. MY MECHANIC TOOK A LOOK AND SAID THESE NISSAN ENGINES HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE TIMING CHAIN. LATELY THE RATTLE SOUND KEEPS COMING FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES. I AM AFRAID THIS WILL CAUSE SOME OTHER PROBLEM IN THE ENGINE THAT WOULD STALL THE ENGINE WHILE RUNNING ON THE ROAD. NISSAN SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS TIMING CHAIN ISSUE, WHICH IT ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT.
"TAKATA RECALL". SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE IS NEEDED ON BRAKES ELECTRIC IS ISSUE. BRAKES SEEMS VERY WARE AND ......
TAKATA RECALL.... TRANSMISSION IS JERKING UNCONTROLLABLY. WHEN IT SNAPS INTO PLACE IT FEELS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 MONTHS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN SHIFTING INTO ANOTHER GEAR OR WHILE DRIVING.
AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE REMAINED AT 50 MPH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED. WHEN WE DRIVE, THE NEEDLE MOVES BEGINNING AT THE 50 MPH MARK.
THE ECM (COMPUTER) IS PLACEMENT IS UNDER WINDSHIELD. WHICH OVER TIME ALLOWS WATER TO RUN DOWN INTO THE ECM CAUSING EROSION AND HOLES IN THE HOUSING AND COMPUTER. THEN WATER GETS INTO THE COMPUTER CAUSING IT FAIL COMMUNICATING OR NOT PROPERLY COMMUNICATING WITH THE CAR. THIS PROBLEM THAT NISSAN DOES NOT WANT TO OWN. MY COMPUTER IS DAMAGED DUE TO ITS PLACEMENT AND WATER HITTING OVER TIME. THIS HAS CAUSED THE CAR TO SHAKE AND SEND ERRORS THAT CAUSE THE CYLINDER TO MISS FIRE. I WAS DRIVING AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND FLASHED.
SUDDEN ONSET OF RATTLING NOISE WHEN VEHICLE GOES OVER BUMPS AND DURING BRAKING. TOOK TO FIRESTONE AND WAS TOLD ONE OF THE CALIPER SCREWS WAS MISSING AND THE REMAINING THREE CALIPER SCREWS WERE LOOSE. THIS DEFECT CAN CAUSE THE BRAKE NOT TO FUNCTION.
THE FUEL GUAGE IS MALFUNCTIONING. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL SENSOR AND THE ISSUE IS STILL PRESENT. THE VEHICLE RAN OUT OF GAS IN MOTION ON A BUSY STREET, THEN ON A BUSY EXIT RAMP, ONCE ON INTERSTATE 695 IN BALTIMORE. THE VEHICLE WAS NEARLY HIT BY TRAFFIC BEHIND THE VEHICLE WHEN IT RAN OUT OF GAS DUE TO A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE.
TRANSMISSION HAS VIBRATION(SHUTTERING)WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ON LEVEL SURFACES AS WELL AS WHEN DRIVING ON INCLINES AT TIMES.VIBRATION STRONG ENOUGH TO VIBRATE INSIDE DASH AREA.

WE WERE HEADED OUT ON A 2400 MILE TRIP AND WANTED TO MAKE SURE OUR VAN WAS READY. FIRST ISSUE WAS THE STRUTS. GOT THOSE FIXED. A WEEK LATER WE WERE BACK IN BECAUSE OF ENGINE NOISE AND THEY FIXED THE TIMING CHAIN AND TENSIONERS. A FEW DAYS LATER AGAIN BECAUSE OF ENGINE NOISE WE FOUND OUT THE WHEEL BEARING NEEDED FIXED.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 80000 MILES. JERKING ETC. STARTED EARLIER AROUND 75000 MILES. RIDICULOUS. PLEASE ALERT ME TO ANY CLASS ACTION SUITS.
AT ABOUT 50,000 MILES THE ENGINE STARTED EMITTING A WHITE SMOKE, I TOOK TO SEVERAL CERTIFIED MECHANICS AND ALL OF THEM SAID IT NEEDS AN ENGINE OVERHAUL WITH NO GURANTEE THAT THE WHITE SMOKE WILL DISAPPEAR, THE VEHICLE DOES NOT CONSUME COOLANT OR MOTOR OIL AND HAS NO HEAD GASKET ENGINE DAMAGE
AT 104,000 MILES MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING. I STARTED THE VAN ONE MORNING TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL AND NOTICED IT WAS JUST CONTINOUSLY BLINKING. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS QUOTED $700 FOR THE REPAIR. I WANTED A SECOND AND THIRD OPINION SO I TOOK IT TO 2 OTHER PLACES. BOTH PLACES REFUSED TO WORK ON IT AND INSTRUCTED ME TO IMMEDIATELY GO TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE AIRBAG WAS FAULTY. I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PAPERWORK FROM THE TWO REPAIR SHOPS AND WAS BASICALLY TOLD THE 2 REPAIR SHOPS WERE INCOMPETENT. SO I DECIDED TO TRY ONE MORE REPAIR SHOP; KEEP IN MIND NONE OF THESE REPAIR SHOPS HAD ANY IDEA I HAD BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP OR OTHER REPAIR SHOPS. ONCE AGAIN THE THIRD REPAIR SHOP TOLD ME THE AIRBAG WAS FAULTY AND I SHOULD GO STRAIGHT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP.
MY VAN FIRST CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE MY PREGNANT WIFE WAS DRIVING. EVEN THOUGH GAUGE INDICATES THAT THE FUEL WAS FULL. THEN IT CUTS OFF AGAIN AFTER THE SUPPOSED FIX BY THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN HAD PREVIOUSLY ISSUED CAMPAIGN ID #: P5318 FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT AS ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS WOULD NOTE, THIS DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM EVEN AFTER TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. WE NEED NISSAN TO LOOK INTO THIS ASAP. TOOK IT TO THE FIRST DEALERSHIP WHERE IT SPEND TWO AND HALF WEEKS AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. THE SECOND DEALERSHIP NOW SAYS I NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE COMPUTER AND REPROGRAM WHICH COSTS THOUSAND OF DOLLARS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM. LOUD RATTLING WHEN STATIONARY AND MOVING. VERY EXPENSIVE FIX, $1670.
MY A/C IS RUNNING WHILE ITSINCE TURNED OFF I TRIED DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY TO RESET IT NOTHING WORKS ALSO WHEN I DRIVE THE QUEST AT HIGH SPEED AND TRY TO STOP THE FRONT END OF THE CAR SHAKES WHILE I'M SLOWING DOWN
MY FUEL GAUGE WOULD SAY THAT I HAD OVER A QUARTER TANK OF GAS AND OUT OF NOWHERE MY VAN WOULD SHUT DOWN. NO WARNING, NO ANYTHING. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. I GOT A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT MY FUEL SENSOR AND TO KEEP A HALF A TANK IN IT UNTIL I COULD GET IT FIXED. I TOOK MY VAN TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE FUEL AMP METER (PART NO. 24819-ZM70A). I WAS TOLD THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, BUT NOT EVEN TWO DAYS LATER AT A QUARTER OF A TANK OF GAS MY VAN SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE POWER STEERING TO HELP ME GUIDE MY VEHICLE SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY VAN STARTED IDLING ROUGHLY AND NOT ACTING LIKE IT HAD BEFORE I TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL. I TOOK THE VAN BACK UP TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT FIXED MY RECALL AND THEY STATED THAT THE SENSOR IS FINE AND NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT. THE ENTIRE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RECTIFIED. NOW BEING TOLD TO SPEND $1000 DOLLARS ON A PART TO FIX THE SAME PROBLEM.
I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DEFECTIVE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONING SYSTEMS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD FLUCTUATE FROM FULL TO EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED THROUGH A MANUFACTURER'S SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN; HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
1.VECHICLE RUN OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH IT SHOWED IT HAD 1/4 TANK AND DISPLAYED 24 MILES BEFORE EMPTY. WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC WITHOUT ANY WARNING. 2. VECHICLE VIBRATES WHEN DRIVING 40 MILES SEEM TO BE DEFECTIVE TRANSMITION. 3.VECHICLE AS LOUD NOISE COMING FROM TIMING CHAIN AREA . ACCORDING TO MECHANIC THIS IS A COSTLY AND KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSANS. WHERE TIMING CHAIN GUIDE AS PERMATURE WARE CAUSING TIME CHAIN TO BECOME LOOSE AND CUASE NOISE COULD BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE.
I RECEIVED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON MY QUEST AND THE FUEL GAUGE HAND WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I WOULD FILL IT UP AND THE GAS HAND WOULD GO TO FULL AND THEN AS I WOULD DRIVE IT WOULD DROP DOWN TO EMPTY FOR A WHILE AND BACK TO FULL FOR WHILE AS I WOULD DRIVE. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I HAD A FUEL PUMP PUT ON BY AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP BUT I TOLD THEM I REPLACED THAT AND THEY THEN STATED IT WAS THE SENDING UNIT, I TOLD THEM MY LOCAL MECHANIC CHECKED THE SENDING UNIT AND HE SAID THAT THE CONNECTIVITY WAS GOOD ON THE SENDING UNIT. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP THEN RAN MORE DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID IT WAS DASH THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND NOT THE FUEL PUMP. I HAD THE DASH REPLACED AND THE FUEL GAUGE IS NOW STUCK ON FULL. I HAVE READ SEVERAL OTHER FORUMS WITH PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS I. I BELIEVE THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO AS A RECALL AS IT SEEMS TO BE AFFECTING A LOT OF PEOPLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION WILL SLIP, THE RPMS WILL REV WHEN ACCELERATING AND THE TRANS WILL JERK INTO GEAR WHEN IN LOWER GEARS, IT IS NOW HAVING TROUBLE ACCELERATING ALL TOGETHER.
TRANSMISSION JERKS/SLIPS BETWEEN GEARS ON DAILY BASIS. THIS JUST APPEARED IN THE SPRING AND HAS BEEN AN ONGOING/INCREASING PROBLEM SINCE THEN. HAVE TAKEN CAR TO MECHANIC AT LEAST 3 TIMES AND ASKED FOR RESOLUTION. MECHANICS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE OR FIX THE PROBLEM. IT IS ESPECIALLY PREVALENT IF TAKE FOOT OFF GAS, COAST, THEN PUT FOOT ON GAS AGAIN. SOMETIMES THE JERK IS SEVERE ENOUGH TO AFFECT THE PEOPLE SITTING IN THE CAR. IT SEEMS LIKE EVENTUALLY THE CAR WILL JUST NOT ENGAGE AND I'LL HAVE TO LEAVE IT ON SIDE OF ROAD.
MY NISSAN QUEST HAS A FRONT END SUSPENSION PROBLEM. WHEN I'M DRIVING AND HIT A BUMP ON DRIVERS SIDE IT PULLS MY WHEEL TO THE LEFT AND RATTLES VERY BAD. I WAS LOOKING ONLINE AND SEEN THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON SOME 2007 NISSAN QUEST THAT EXPLAINS EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MINE. I CALLED AND THEY TOLD ME I DON'T HAVE ANY RECALLS UNDER MY VIN . I GOT IT CHECKED AND THE GUY SAID HE COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THE RECALL IS FOR A BOLT IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION TO HOLD IT TO THE FRAME. IT SAYS THAT SOME OF THE VEHICLES SUSPENSION BOLT MY NOT BE TORQUED PROPERLY. SO IF POSSIBLE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT MY FRONT WHEEL TO FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING. THANK YOU! *TR
I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TIMING CHAIN FIXED PAID A LOT OF MONEY AND IT'S DOING IT AGAIN MY MECHANIC SAID THIS SPECIFIC VEHICLE HAS THIS PROBLEM.
SECONDARY TIMING CHAIN IS GOING OUT. 116,000 MILES WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THIS YET!!! WE CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR FEAR OF IT MESSING UP THE ENTIRE ENGINE. THIS IS A $4,000 REPAIR! MANY MANY MANY OTHER NISSAN OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION SLIPS BETWEEN SHIFT. AND SHUTTERS AT TIMES AND HAS A BAD VIBRATION WHEN ACCELERATING. THE VEHICLE ON HAS 110000 MILES AND HAS HAD TROUBLE SINCE IT'S HAD RIGHT AT 105000. I'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN AND NOW WE ARE HAVING AC PROBLEMS.
WHILE TAKING MY SON TO SCHOOL ON 1-27-2016, MY WIFE CALLED ME AND SAID HER CAR JUST QUIT AND WON'T START. LUCKILY I WAS OFF WORK THAT DAY AND WAS ABLE TO TOW THE MINIVAN HOME. THINKING IT WAS A MINOR ISSUE WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC FOR REPAIR. I EXPECTED THEM TO CHANGE A FUEL FILTER OR MAYBE A FUEL PUMP BUT I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THE TIMING CHAIN HAD BROKEN AND IS GOING TO NEED MAJOR REPAIR. AT ONLY 85000 MILES THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN AREA OF CONCERN. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I'VE FOUND MANY LAWSUITS AGAINST NISSAN REGARDING THIS ISSUE. NISSAN KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT KEPT INSTALLING THE FAULTY COMPONENTS. THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED ANY RECALLS AND WON'T DO ANYTHING TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM, EVEN WHEN I SPENT AN EXTRA 3500 DOLLARS FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. I REALIZE THERE IS NATURALLY GOING TO BE PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE, BUT SOMETHING OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS NOT WHAT YOUR THINKING ABOUT WITH UNDER 100,000 MILES. FOR NISSAN TO BE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND NOT ADDRESS OR CORRECT THE FAULT IS SHAMEFUL. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM, THEY KEPT KNOWINGLY USING THE FAULTY COMPONENTS FOR YEARS. OUR WHOLE SOCIETY SEEMS TO BE RELEGATED TO CUTTING CORNERS, AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS, TO GET AHEAD; NO MATTER WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES ARE.
WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING AND MORE OFTEN THAN NOT SLAMS INTO GEAR. MAKES AN AWFUL BANGING NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. LOSING TRANS FLIUD, SEEMS LIKE WE ARE GOING THROUGH JUGS OF FLUID. ALSO HAD A COOLANT LEAK, EVEN AFTER HAVING NEW RADIATOR INSTALLED, STILL SMELL COOLANT AND IT'S BEEN A WHILE WHEN THE CARE IS BEING CHECKED, MECHANIC CAN'T SEEM TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. VERY FRUSTRATING AND SCARY WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING. HAPPENS MORE SO WHEN HIGHWAY DRIVING OR IF THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR SOME TIME.
WE TOOK OUR 2007 NISSAN QUEST IN FOR THE RECALL TO REPAIR OUR FAULTY FUEL GAUGE READING ON 10/24/15 AND NISSAN HAD OUR VAN UNTIL 11/13/15 AND FAILED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. CODE P0462 FOR THE "FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW INPUT" IS STILL ACTIVE AN.D OUR FUEL GAUGE STILL DOES NOT WORK. NISSAN CLAIMS TO HAVE REPLACED THE PART STIPULATED IN THE RECALL, BUT REPLACING THAT PART FAILED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. AFTER OUR QUEST SPENT 21 DAYS AT NISSAN TO HAVE OUR FUEL GAUGE RECALL FIXED WE WERE INFORMED WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. WE TOOK OUR QUEST BACK TO NISSAN ON 12/28/15 TO HAVE THE ISSUE OF THE FAULTY FUEL GAUGE RESOLVED. WE WERE TOLD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP TO MAKE THE FUEL GAUGE WORK. THE COST OF THE FUEL PUMP IS OVER $500. AND DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR CHARGES. AFTER NISSAN REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP OUR FUEL GAUGE STILL DOES NOT WORK, AND WE RUN THE RISK OF RUNNING OUT OF FUEL. NOW WE ARE TOLD WE MUST REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE COST OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS OVER $300. PLUS $35. TO PROGRAM IT, AND DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR CHARGES. WHY SHOULD WE BE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY OVER $1,000. TO HAVE AN ISSUE FIXED THAT IS COVERED BY A RECALL? WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A FUEL PUMP IF THE FUEL PUMP DID NOT RESOLVE THE FAULTY FUEL GAUGE READING? I WOULD LIKE TO GOVERNMENT TO INVESTIGATE WHY NISSAN IS NOT RESOLVING PROBLEMS COVERED BY A GOVERNMENT RECALL.
^ MONTHS AGO TRANIMISSIN STARTED TO JERK, FOUND ONLINE THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH NISSAN 3.5 TRANSMISSIONS. LOOKED AT WAYS PEOPLE HAD FIXED THE PROBLEM. REPLACE 3 TRANMISSION SOLINOIDS. WORKED GREAT FOR 3 MONTHS AFTER REPAIR TODAY IT JERKED REALLY BAD AND THE NOW IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE. I HAVE TO DRIVE IN LOW TO GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE I HAVE 5 CHILDREN AND THIS IS MY ONLY CAR I HAVE TO PICK THGEM UP FROM SCHOOL AND TAKE MY 100% DISABLED WIFE TO AND FROM DOCTORS APPTS. THIS IS JUST REDICIULOUS THAT NISSAN KNOWS THEIR IS AN ISSUE HAD THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS AND YET WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE ISSUES WITH THEIR CARS. THEY WILL NOT EVEN TRY GIVE A DISCOUNT ON PARTS AND LABOR FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE THESE ISSUES.
CAR PARKED OVERNIGHT OUTSIDE. TEMPERATURE IN LOW 50S. IN MORNING, FOUND SUNROOF IMPLODED INTO CAR. SPRAYED GLASS PIECES ACROSS DASH, FRONT SEATS, AND MIDDLE SEATS. GLASS WAS IN CHUNKS, SAFETY GLASS LIKE PIECES, AND SMALL SHARDS INCLUDING VERY FINE SHARP PIECES. A LITTLE GLASS AROUND SUNROOF ON OUTSIDE BUT VERY LITTLE - MOSTLY INTO THE INTERIOR.
