TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR DISPLAYED INACCURATE INFORMATION AND AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND BEGAN TO HESITATE BECAUSE THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE DRIVING ABOUT 25 TO 35 MILES OF SPEED ALL OF SUDDEN VEHICLE WAS STALLED. AFTER TOWING VEHICLE TO HOME FOUND THAT FUEL GUAGE DOESN'T SHOWING THE CORRECT FUEL LEVEL. BY GOD GRACE NOTHING HAPPENED TO MY FAMILY OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ACCIDENT THAT TOO NARROW BRIDGE. *JS
GOING ACROSS THE BETSY ROSS BRIDGE, FROM PHILADELPHIA TO CHERRY HILL, ABOUT 9PM TO GET GAS AS WELL AS DINNER. THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND THEN SHOT OFF WHEN WE WERE NOT QUITE HALF WAY OVER THE BRIDGE. THERE WASN'T ALLOT OF TRAFFIC, SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER AND PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON. TRIED TO START THE CAR BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. THE GAS GAUGE WAS AT A 1/4 TANK OF GAS. A PORT AUTHORITY POLICE OFFICE ARRIVED WITHIN 10 MINUTES AND PUSHED OUR VAN TO THE REST OF THE WAY OVER THE BRIDGE TO GET US OUT OF THE TRAFFIC AS THE SHOULDER IS VERY NARROW. GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BRIDGE AND COASTED TO A SIDE AREA WHERE WE COULD WAIT FOR HELP. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START TO THE CAR FAILED. HELP ARRIVED ABOUT AN HOUR LATER WITH GAS CAN. PUT ABOUT 2 GALLONS OF GAS INTO THE CAR. CAR STARTED RIGHT UP. WE WENT THE REST OF THE WAY RIGHT TO A GAS STATION. THE VAN HAS A 20.1 GALLON TANK. TOOK ALMOST 19 GALLONS AT FILL UP. WHICH MEANS WE RAN OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH THE GAS GAUGE SAID OTHERWISE. AFTER FILLING UP THE TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE WAS READING FULL. I FOUND NHTSA RECALL BULLETIN #10V07400. THE PROBLEM IS AN EXACT MATCH FOR MY PROBLEM. SPECIFICALLY THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL SENDER MIS-REPORTING THE GAS LEVEL. FOUND VARIOUS NEWS REPORTS THAT LIST AND DO NOT LIST THE NISSAN QUEST AS PART OF THE RECALL. *TR
WAS EXITING A HIGHWAY AND SLOWING TO A STOP. TRAFFIC BEGAN TO MOVE SO I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR HESITATED THEN STALLED. I WAS IN CENTER LANE AND HAD TO CROSS ANOTHER LANE OF TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE SHOULDER WITH NO POWER STEERING AND TRYING NOT TO HIT BRAKES SO I DIDN'T UNINTENTIONALLY BLOCK TRAFFIC. MY GAS GAUGE SHOWED JUST OVER A QUARTER TANK AND THE MILEAGE SHOWED 77 MILES TO EMPTY. I WAS ABLE TO GET 2 GALLONS OF GAS AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. WENT TO FILL IT UP AT THE NEAREST GAS STATION AND IT TOOK 19 GALLONS TO FILL. THIS IS A 20.1 GALLON TANK. THIS WAS THE THIRD SUCH OCCURRENCE WITH THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO. I HAD IT ADDRESSED PREVIOUSLY AT THE DEALERSHIP, BUT WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO FAULT FOUND. AFTER THIS LATEST INCIDENT, I WAS TOLD THE FUEL SENDING UNIT/FUEL PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF APPX $750 DOLLARS! NOT HAPPY!!!...UPDATED 04-10-14 *BF THERE WERE NO DASH LIGHTS TO INDICATE A PROBLEM. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NO LOW LEVEL FUEL LIGHT. THE FIRST TWO TIMES, I TOOK IT TO NISSAN TO BE LOOKED AT, THERE WERE NO FAULT CODES. IT WAS NOT UNTIL THE THIRD TIME, THAT THEY FINALLY WERE ABLE TO SEE A FAULT CODE. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, I DID GET A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AFTER FILLING MY GAS TANK. I TOOK IT BACK TO NISSAN FOR TROUBLESHOOTING AND THEY GOT THE SAME FAULT CODE FOR THE FUEL SENDING UNIT. JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME, I FILL THE TANK, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FOR THE SAME REASON. UPDATED 06/03/14
BEGINNING IN FEBRUARY 2014 MY QUEST, OWNED FOR LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AT THAT DATE, RAN OUT OF FUEL WHEN GAUGE STILL READ 1/8 OF A TANK REMAINED. LOW FUEL LIGHT DID NOT COME ON, CAR SIMPLY STALLED OUT AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF A BUSY ROAD. THIS HAD SINCE HAPPENED FOUR MORE TIMES IN THE FOLLOWING FIVE MONTHS. ONE INCIDENT LEFT ME STRANDED ON A FREEWAY OFFRAMP FOR NEARLY AN HOUR WITH SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS. I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT A VEHICLE I PURCHASED FROM A DEALER, LESS THAN A YEAR AGO, IS THIS UNRELIABLE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY! I DON'T FEEL SAFE HAVING MY FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE! *JS
TRAVELING AT A STEADY 25 MPH ON HIGHWAY (CONDITIONS WERE SLOW DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER), VEHICLE SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED VERY HARD...FELT LIKE I WAS REAR ENDED BUT WASN'T...THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE ENGINE WAS PRODUCING THE POWER, BUT THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT KEEPING UP. IT WAS SLOW TO ACCELERATE, WOULDN'T MAINTAIN SPEED UPHILL AND DOWNSHIFTED HARD WHEN SLOWING. I HEADED DIRECTLY FOR DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT MY TRANSMISSION HAD CODED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. I HAD TAKEN IT INTO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES PREVIOUSLY COMPLAINING OF SIGNIFICANT POWER LOSS, HARD AND/OR CONSTANT DOWNSHIFTING AND LOSS OF SPEED DESPITE ENGINE POWER. NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND UNTIL THIS INCIDENT. I REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION WITH NEW AT A COST OF JUST OVER $4700. I HAVE PUT JUST UNDER 2000 MILES ON THE NEW TRANSMISSION AND AM STARTING TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. TRAVELING TO NEW YORK ON THE INTERSTATE, TRAVELING WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 68MPH. STARTED ASCENDING A LARGE HILL AND THE VEHICLE STARTED SLOWING DOWN. THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED VIOLENTLY, ENGINE RPM INCREASED TO ALMOST 5000RPM BUT SPEED STARTED DROPPING IMMEDIATELY. COULD NOT MAKE IT UP THE HIGHWAY AND MAINTAIN CURRENT SPEED. THE VALVES WERE SCREAMING! I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF, RESTARTED AND THEN STARTED AGAIN SLOWLY. I COULD NOT GET ABOVE 38 MPH WITHOUT TRANSMISSION REACTING AND ENGINE RPM RACING. ONCE I GOT OVER THE HILL, THE CAR SEEMED OKAY AS LONG AS I DIDN'T ALLOW THE RPM TO INCREASE TOO DRAMATICALLY. IT WILL NOT MAINTAIN SPEED IN CRUISE CONTROL ON HILLS. *TR
I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS TWICE IN THE LAST 8 MONTHS. FUEL GAUGE READS 3/8 TANK LEFT AND THE COMPUTER SAID I HAD 72 MILES LEFT UNTIL EMPTY. NO LOW FUEL LIGHT INDICATOR. TOOK IT INTO A NISSAN DEALER FOR THEM TO READ THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT, THEY SAID NEEDED A NEW FUEL SENSOR WHICH IN TURN YOU NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP WHICH RUNS INTO LOTS OF MONEY. BOUGHT THE FUEL PUMP AND WAS GOING TO HAVE IT CHANGED. THE READING FROM THE NEW FUEL PUMP WAS THE SAME READING AS THE OLD FUEL PUMP " NO CHANGE." I FEEL THAT NISSAN DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR VEHICLES . THEY MAKE YOU SPEND MONEY THAT IS UNNECESSARY. *TR
MY FUEL GUAGE DISPLAYS AN INCORRECT VALUE FOR THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE TANK CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. *TR
I'VE RAN OUT OF FUEL ABOUT THREE TIMES, THE FUEL GAUGE WAS READING 1/4 OR MORE OF FUEL. ABOUT THE THIRD TIME DRIVING AROUND 30MPH, MY QUEST RAN OUT OF FUEL BUT AGAIN, IT READ A 1/4 FULL. THIS TIME THE QUEST BECOME VERY HARD TO CONTROL TO GET OUT OF THE ROAD. I CALLED MY MECHANIC, HE SENT A TOWING TRUCK, AND DIAGNOSED THE QUEST WITH A BAD FUEL PUMP. HE REPAIRED COSTING ME ABOUT $880.00. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE PUMP WENT BAD DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF FUEL SEVERAL TIMES. AROUND NOVEMBER 2014, NISSAN SENT ME A LETTER NOTIFYING ABOUT THE FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTION AND DISPLAY AND ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READING. NO CRAP, WONDER WHY I WAS RUNNING OUT GAS CONSTANTLY AND GETTING A BAD FUEL PUMP COSTING ME $880. I CALLED NISSAN DEMANDING A REFUND FOR REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP, AFTER GOING BACK AND FORTH THEY DENIED MY CLAIM. I THINK IS TIME TO START A CLASS A LAWSUIT DUE TO UNNECESSARY FUEL PUMP COST AND NEAR CRASH MISSES. *TR
DRIVING CAR W/ APPROXIMATELY 1/4 TANK SHOWN ON FUEL GAGE AND CAR STOPPED. TRIED TO START AND CAR APPEARED TO NOT HAVE ANY FUEL. FILLED TANK WITH FUEL AND CAR STARTED. HAPPENED AGAIN ON 2 MORE OCCASIONS, EACH TEAM SEEMING TO STOP WITH HIGHER LEVEL ON FUEL GAGE. PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE GETTING WORSE. LOOKED FOR RECALL ON THIS ITEM AND IDENTIFIED PROBLEM ON NUMEROUS OTHER NISSAN MODELS AND SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS NOT COVERED BY RECALL. *TR
TOOK MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR A RATTLE, VIBRATION AND PULSING OUT OF THE FRONT END. SERVICE WRITER TELLS ME IT'S A TIMING CHAIN (NOT BELT) THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I ASKED HIM IF THAT WAS THE NOISE I HEARD (I DIDN'T THINK THAT WAS THE ISSUE) AND I WAS TOLD THEY WEREN'T SURE AND THAT PROBABLY WASN'T THE NOISE I WAS HEARING. I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP ONLY TO HAVE THE VIBRATIONS WORSE, NOISE MORE PRONOUNCED AND THE THOUGHT OF A 2000.00 BILL ON THE HORIZON FOR A TIMING CHAIN. THE VEHICLE SEEMS TO PUSH AND CONSTANTLY PULL TO THE LEFT. ALIGNMENT AND NEW TIRES HAD NO EFFECT AT ALL. SOMETIMES THE VAN SEEMS UNSTABLE AT ENTRY HIGHWAY SPEEDS. NISSAN USA CLEARLY DOESN'T CARE SO I'M HOPING YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING WITH THEM. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AT 45 MPH AND PRESSED THE GAS. IT WAS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING, VERY LIGHT TRAFFIC. I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE AND DID NOT HEAR THE ENGINE RESPOND. I LOOKED AT MY GAUGES AND THE TACHOMETER WAS AT 0. I REALIZED THE ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING. I TRIED REVVING THE GAS PEDAL BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. I MANAGED TO GUIDE MY CAR OFF THE ROAD INTO AN ENTRANCE ROAD TO A BUSINESS. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO START IT. THE ENGINE TURNED OVER BUT WOULD NOT CATCH. THE GAS GAUGE SHOWED A QUARTER OF A TANK AND NO LIGHT WAS ON. I CALLED MY WIFE AND SHE BROUGHT A GAS CAN. I POURED IT THE GAS. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY STARTED. I WENT TO A GAS STATION. THE CAR TOOK 19 GALLONS. THE CAPACITY WAS 20 GALLONS SO THE CAR WAS EMPTY. I HAVE BEEN MONITORING SINCE. ON A TYPICAL WEEK MY CAR IS SLIGHTLY UNDER HALF A TANK. THIS WEEK MY CAR WAS A LITTLE BIT UNDER THREE QUARTER 3/4 FULL. THE TRIP ODOMETER SHOWED I HAD GONE 174 MILES. I FILLED UP THE CAR AND IT TOOK 11.3 GALLONS. THIS INDICATE THE TANK IS ALMOST EXACTLY 1/4 OFF. I WAS VERY LUCKY WHEN THE CAR STALLED I COULD PULL OFF SAFELY. I HAVE SEEN MANY POST ON THE INTERNET REGARDING THIS ISSUE ON THIS YEAR CAR. WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN TO GET THIS ADDRESSES? THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE FRONTIER AND PATHFINDER AND XTERRA ARE HAVING FOR THE SAME YEAR. THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME 3.5 LITER ENGINE. ANY ONE CHECKING TO SEE IF THE QUEST HAS THE SAME FUEL PUMP/SENDER ASSEMBLY? THE SIMILARITIES ARE JUST TO OBVIOUS. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON TWO OCCASIONS NOW. DRIVING ALONG IN PEAK TRAFFIC AND SUDDENLY VEHICLE SHUTS OFF. NO POWER STEERING AND ALMOST INVOLVED IN ACCIDENTS BOTH OCCASIONS THE FIRST TIME I WAS ALONE THE SECOND TIME I HAD MY GRAND BABIES WITH ME AND THAT WAS TERRIFYING FOR THEM AS THE OTHER ROAD USERS WHERE WHIZZING PAST AND THEY WERE STOPPED. BOTH TIMES I LOOKED AT THE DIGITAL READING ON THE DISPLAY AND IT DISPLAYED THE MILES AS 80 MILES TO EMPTY AND 60 MILES TO EMPTY AND THE MANUAL GAUGE STILL SHOWED JUST UNDER 1/4 TANK LEFT. THE LOW FUEL LIGHT NEVER CAME ON EITHER TIME. THIS NEEDS TO BE SORTED OUT BEFORE SOME ONE GETS KILLED ESPECIALLY AS THIS IS USED TO TRANSPORT CHILDREN....UPDATED 04-10-14 *BF
MY FUEL GAUGE READ THAT I HAD APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES LEFT IN MY TANK. I HAD A SHORT TRIP TO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE WITH MY CHILD. I PLANNED ON STOPPING FOR GAS AFTER THE APPOINTMENT. I MADE IT ABOUT A HALF A MILE AND THE VAN STALLED. BEING THAT THE GAUGE READ THAT I HAD GAS, I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO WAY THE VAN RAN OUT OF GAS. AFTER THIS INCIDENT, MY GAUGE NEVER READ THE FUEL LEVELS CORRECTLY AGAIN. WHEN THE GAUGE SAID IT WAS AT A QUARTER TANK, IT REALLY MEANT IT WAS ON EMPTY. I LEARNED THAT DURING THE SECOND INCIDENT OF RUNNING OUT OF GAS. MY GAUGE NOW IS EMPTY AT A HALF TANK. IT ALSO RANDOMLY PUTS ITSELF AT EMPTY AFTER I KNOW I PUT A FULL TANK IN. SO, NOW I USE MY MILEAGE TO CALCULATE HOW MUCH GAS IS TRULY IN THE TANK. *TR
FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM FAILURE. BOTH THE FUEL GAUGE ON THE DASH AND ELECTRONIC FUEL GAUGE INDICATE NO FUEL. THIS PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND CAUSES THE SAFETY INDICATOR LIGHT TO GO ON. I HAD THIS CHECKED AT ADVANCED AUTO. THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE IS BROKEN. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FUEL PUMP BECAUSE THE PART IS NOT SOLD SEPARATELY. $350 JUST FOR THE FUEL PUMP. I WAS TOLD THAT NOT FIXING THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WOULD LEAD TO WORSE PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR A COUPLE MONTHS NOW. I HAVE FAILED SAFETY INSPECTION BECAUSE THE SAFETY LIGHT IS ON. *TR
2007 NISSAN QUEST DASH/CLUSTER CONTROL REPORTS INCORRECT FUEL GAUGE CAUSING MULTIPLE, OUT OF FUEL/EMPTY FUEL TANK SCENARIOS. ONE SCENARIO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH FAMILY AND REPORTED 1/4 TANK 76 MILE TIL EMPTY. NISSAN CLAIMED THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
CAR STALLED OUT ON THE HIGHWAY, WITH THE GAS GAUGE SHOWING SLIGHTLY LESS THAN 1/4 TANK REMAINING IN THE TANK. WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO GAS STATION. TANK TOOK A FULL 20 GALLONS (MAX CAPACITY), AFTER WHICH THE CAR RAN FINE. THIS OCCURRED LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER HAVING MY FUEL PUMP AND INJECTORS REPLACED. NISSAN CLAIMS THERE IS NO CONNECTION BETWEEN THESE INCIDENTS. NOW I'M WONDERING IF MY ORIGINAL INCIDENT ACTUAL WAS A FUEL PUMP, OF IF I SIMPLY RAN OUT OF FUEL. *TR
ADVISED NISSAN THAT AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING. AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I STARTED CAR FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON. NISSAN TOLD ME IT WAS GOING TO COST $800 TO REPAIR. I DECIDED TO REPORT THIS INCIDENT AFTER MY HUSBANDS CAR ALSO A NISSAN (PATHFINDER) STARTED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM IN FEB 2014. BOTH CARS ARE 2007 AND SEEMED TO HAPPEN AROUND THE SAME VEHICLE MILEAGE. NISSAN ALSO ADVISED ME THAT THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY IF THEY WERE NOT FIXED. SO NOW BOTH OF OUR NISSAN CARS HAVE THERE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHTS FLASHING. *TR
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR ENGINE SOUNDED AS IF IT WAS GOING TO FALL OUT OF CAR FOUND OUT THE ENGINE MOUNTS WERE ALL BROKEN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. REPLACED ALL THE MOUNTS AND THE CAR STILL JERKS HARD WHEN DRIVING AND LOSES POWER SOMETIMES AND WILL REV VERY HIGH WHEN DRIVING FOR NO REASON AT ALL. TOOK CAR BACK TO MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD HAD TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION MOUNTS AFTER ALREADY REPLACING MOUNTS FOR OVER 900 DOLLARS.
IT WAS A NOISE COMING UNDER THE CAR WE TAKE TO MECHANIC .THEY TOLD ME TIMING CHAIN IS LOOSE DON'T DRIVE LIKE THIS IT IS DANGER 3500 DOLLARS TO FIX IT . WE TAKE IT TO THE NISSAN THEY SAID THE SAME . ASKING LOTSOF MONEY TO FIX IT . THIS PROBLEM IS MANUFACTURE FAULT BUT SEEMS LIKE THEY DON'T CARE. NO MORE NISSAN FOR ME I HAVEN'T FINISH PAYMENT YET
THE VEHICLE'S FUEL GAUGE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER HAS BECOME FAULTY AND UNRELIABLE. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS SINCE JULY OF 2013 THE VAN HAS LOST POWER AND HAS COME TO A STOP. ON TWO OCCASIONS THIS HAS HAPPENED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED IN FAIRLY CONGESTED TRAFFIC WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. THE GAS GAUGE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER READS THAT THERE IS A QUARTER (1/4) TANK OF GAS WHEN IN FACT THE VEHICLE HAS RUN OUT OF GAS WHICH, AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. ACCORDING TO ONLINE POSTS OF OTHER '07 NISSAN QUEST VAN OWNERS, NISSAN SERVICE CENTERS APPEAR TO BE UNSURE AS TO WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM LET ALONE HOW TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. THIS APPEARS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAD AT THE LOCAL NISSAN SERVICE CENTER THAT DIAGNOSED OUR VEHICLE LAST JULY WHICH IS THE SAME DEALERSHIP WE PURCHASED THE VAN NEW IN 2007. UPON DIAGNOSTICS, THE SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THAT IT MAY BE THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT IN THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY OR A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, BOTH OR SOMETHING IN BETWEEN THE TWO PARTS. UPON CONTACTING NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS LAST JULY TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM WITH THEM AND ASKING THEM TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM AS PART OF THEIR RECALL FOR THIS VERY SAME ISSUE ON THE QUEST AS WELL AS OTHER MODELS OF THEIR VEHICLES, THEY DECLINED CLAIMING THAT THE V.I.N. FOR OUR PARTICULAR VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN RECALLED. IF THEY HAVE RECALLED OTHER '07 QUESTS OR OTHER VEHICLES IN THEIR LINEUP OVER THIS ISSUE THEN NISSAN SHOULD STAND BEHIND ANY VEHICLE THAT IS EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. IN APRIL 2012 THE NISSAN QUEST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC - THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE SENSOR - CHARGED $694.00. ON JULY 8TH THE CAR STOPPED AND THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED A HALF A TANK OF GAS. I PUT GAS IN THE CAR BUT THE GAUGE DID NOT MOVE. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2007 NISSAN QUEST BECAUSE OF THE FUEL GAUGE. NISSAN UNWILLING TO REPAIR VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS, VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD - POLICE HAD TO BE CALLED TO GET MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER OUT OF VAN UNTIL VEHICLE COULD BE TOLLED. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I LOSS ACCELERATION AND HAD REALIZED MY CAR HAD SHUT OFF. I WAS TOWING A TRAILER BEHIND ME AND HAD TO TRY TO MAKE IT TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD. I WAS UNSURE OF WHY I FIRST BECAUSE MY GAS GAUGE SHOWED I HAD A QUARTER OF A TANK. I GOT FUEL PUT IN IT AND THEN IT WORKED. AFTER FIXING THE FUEL PUMP, I DROVE FOR 300 MILES AND MY GAS GAUGE ONLY MOVED A QUARTER OF TANK DOWN, MEANING MY FUEL GAUGE IS STILL NOT WORKING. DURING REGULAR OIL CHANGE DEALER ADVISED LOWER "A" ARM OF SUSPENSION AND LEFT SIDE ENGINE MOUNT WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED CHANGE. I RESPONDED I HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY GO AHEAD. DEALER STATED THERE WAS NO EXTENDED WARRANTY, I NEEDED TO PAY CASH FIRST. I INSISTED THE DEALER SEND SOMEONE TO THE CAR A COPY OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. THE DEALER FINALLY ACCEPTED THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE ANOMALY IS THAT THE OIL DRAIN AND FILTER ARE IN IMMEDIATE PROXIMITY TO THE SUSPENSION AND ENGINE MOUNT AND THE DEFECTS WERE NOT DETECTED DURING PREVIOUS OIL CHANGES. IT WAS ONLY AFTER THE FACTORY WARRANTY EXPIRED THE DEFECTS WERE FOUND. THE DEALER EXPECTED NO WARRANTY EXISTED AND THEREFORE CASH WOULD NEED TO BE PAID. CASH PAYMENT FOR NON-WARRANTY IS KEPT SOLELY BY THE DEALER. MY CONCERN IS THE DEFECTS WERE FOUND WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY AND WE WERE SENT BACK OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY IN A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE WAITING FOR THE FACTORY WARRANTY TO EXPIRE. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY DEALERS ARE SENDING DANGEROUS CARS BACK OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY WAITING FOR FACTORY WARRANTIES TO EXPIRE AND NOT HAVE TO SPLIT REPAIR FEES WITH CORPORATE. *TR

PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP/SYSTEM HAVE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. ON OR ABOUT 1/6/2013, WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH AND COMING TO A LIGHT, THE CAR TURNED OFF. THE GAUGE SHOWED 1/4 TANK. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND ADDED 1 GALLON OF GAS. NEXT DAY, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AS APPROACHING A RED LIGHT. FUEL LEVEL STILL AT 1/4 TANK. MECHANIC ADDED GAS AND THE CAR STARTED. GAS GAUGE IS INACCURATE AND DANGEROUS. IN FEBRUARY 2013, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AFTER DRIVING/PARKING THE VAN, IT WOULD START AND THEN TURN OFF, START AND THEN TURN OFF. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO RUN BY GIVING IT GAS AS SOON AS IT STARTED. ON 3/13/2013, AFTER DRIVING THE VAN AND PARKING IT, IT WOULD NOT START. IT KEPT CRANKING, BUT NOTHING. MECHANIC FOUND ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IN THE WIRING AND WAS ABLE TO FIX IT. ON 3/28/2013, THE CAR STARTED AND THE FUEL GAUGE DROPPED TO EMPTY WITH SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON. VAN HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS. MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND SAID THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP GROUNDING. ON A NISSAN FORUM I DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING RECALL: "THE RECALL AFFECTS 2005 - 2008 NISSAN TITAN, ARMADA AND INFINITI QX56S AS WELL AS NISSAN FRONTIER PICKUPS AND PATHFINDER AND XTERRA SUVS PRODUCED BETWEEN JANUARY AND MARCH 2006 AND BETWEEN OCTOBER 2007 AND JANUARY 2008. I HAVE RECENTLY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN USA REGARDING THE TIMING CHAIN RATTLING NOISE ON MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST. I WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPANY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS SINCE MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THE COMPANY HAS ISSUED SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE INDICATING A MAJOR DESIGN DEFICIENCY WITH CHAIN GUIDE, TENSIONER AND CHAINS. TIMING CHAIN IS NOT SUPPOSED TO GO OUT AT THIS LOW MILES INTERVAL, AND NOTING THE VARIOUS COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB, I WOULD REQUEST THAT THIS ISSUE BEING INVESTIGATED AND BE MADE INTO A RECALL FOR THESE VEHICLES. HOWEVER, NISSAN WAS USING NYLON GEARS. METAL ON NYLON WILL WEAR OUT AND SHOULD NOT BE BOASTED AS 'GOOD FOR LIFETIME OF VEHICLE.' MULTIPLE WEBSITES AND FORUMS HAVE POSTED THE PROBLEMS AND EXPENSES INCURRED WITH THEIR NISSAN TIMING CHAIN ISSUES. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON DECEMBER 1, 2012, I CAME TO A STOP AT THE RED LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED, I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL AND IT MOVED SLIGHTLY THEN JUST COASTED, (THROUGH THE LIGHT) AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE RIGHT TURN LANE OF THE PARKING LOT. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE ONLY A FEW CARS BEHIND ME AND I MADE IT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. I TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE BUT TO NO AVAIL. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO LET THEM KNOW I WAS ON THE WAY. WHEN THE DRIVER ARRIVED, HE PUT MY VEHICLE ON THE TOW TRUCK AND DROVE TO THE KROGER GAS ISLAND IN THE PARKING LOT. HE PUT $5 IN THE TANK BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP I EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. THE INVOICE READS: CUSTOMER STATES THE CAR STALLED OUT CAUSE: GAS GAUGE SHORTED OUT AND STUCK ON 1 (THAT'S ALL THAT PRINTED). I HAD 1/2 TANK OF GAS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I KEEP TRACK OF MILEAGE AND FILL-UPS. IT TOOK MORE DAYS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM THAN INITIALLY DISCUSSED. THEY WOULD CALL AND LET US KNOW THAT SOMETHING DIDN'T WORK WHEN PROVIDING A STATUS UPDATE. FINALLY THEY TOLD US THEY BELIEVE THE PROBLEM TO BE FIXED. WE PICKED UP MY VEHICLE ON DECEMBER 6, 2012, AND PAID OVER $775 FOR THE REPAIRS. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP (LEFT VOICE MAIL, LEFT MESSAGE WITH PERSON, AND SENT EMAIL) BUT HAVEN'T HEARD BACK YET. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM I EXPERIENCED IS THE SAME AS THE NOTIFICATION/ RECALL CAMPAIGN AND 1) MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE REVIEWED TO MAKE SURE THE PROBLEM IS 'CORRECTED' AND 2) A FULL REFUND TO BE MADE AS THIS INCIDENT IS IN LINE WITH THE DOCUMENTED INFORMATION IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. VAN STARTED TO DEVELOP A JERK WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE AFTER VEHICLE HAS WARMED UP. WAS TOLD IT NEEDED MOTOR MOUNT AND SPENT $2300 AT NISSAN ON FRIDAY 11/30/12 TO HAVE SEVERAL REPAIRS INCLUDING THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT. NO JERKING AFTER WORK WAS DONE UNTIL SUNDAY , 12/2/12. ON MONDAY 12/3/12 AFTER DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL, I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK TO OPEN THE POWER SIDE DOORS TO LET THEM OUT. WHEN SHIFTING BACK INTO DRIVE THE VEHICLE JERKED VIOLENTLY AND LURCHED FORWARD ABOUT 2 FEET. I DID NOT HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME BUT HAD THERE BEEN SOMEONE WALKING BETWEEN THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE AND THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE HIT THEM. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST NISSAN FOR CONTINUING TO ALLOW THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS TO BE UTILIZED AFTER THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS. I WAS TRAVELING ON A STATE ROAD AT APPROX. 50 MPH. I WAS BEGINNING TO START A CURVY HILL AND PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL WITH NO RESPONSE. THERE WAS NO ENGINE REVVING HEARD AND THE TACHOMETER HAD DROPPED TO ZERO AND ALL DASH LIGHTS WERE ON AS IF I HAD JUST TURNED THE KEY TO THE 'ON' POSITION TO START IT. THERE WAS NO LOW FUEL LIGHT AND THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED 1/4 TANK. I TRIED TURNING THE ENGINE OVER, BUT IT WOULDN'T CRANK AS IF IT WAS OUT OF GAS. THANKFULLY THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND ME COMING AROUND THE BLIND CURVE OR ELSE SOMEONE WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVERELY INJURED OR WORSE. I PRESSED THE TRIP BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES ON THE DATA DISPLAY AND IT WAS FLASHING ASTERISK AS IF IT WAS OUT OF GAS. I WALKED 2 MILES TO A GAS STATION AND PUT A GALLON OF GAS IN THE TANK AND THE CAR VAN CRANKED RIGHT UP WHICH INDICATED THE VAN WAS OUT OF GAS, BUT THE FUEL GAUGE AND LOW FUEL LIGHT WAS FAULTY. THIS HAS OCCURRED 3 OTHER TIMES WITH MY WIFE DRIVING ALONE. ONCE WAS ON A U.S. HWY. IT APPEARS THERE'S A BAD FUSE OR BAD SENSOR, BUT WE'RE NOT SURE AND I'VE NOT SEEN ANY RECALLS ON THIS. NOW WE JUST HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE DATA DISPLAY ONCE THE FUEL HITS A HALF TANK. IT'S JUST NOT SOMETHING YOU THINK TO DO WHILE DRIVING. I AT LEAST WISH THE TRIP DISPLAY WOULD POP UP AS A LOW FUEL BACKUP, BUT WHEN YOUR CHILDREN ARE WATCHING A DVD OR THE RADIO IS ON AND YOU'RE CONCENTRATING ON DRIVING YOU DON'T THINK TO PRESS THE TRIP BUTTON TO CHECK THE DTE. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD COME UP WITH A SOLUTION OR SHOW A RECALL. WE ARE DESPERATE AND AFRAID SOMEONE WILL EITHER BE INJURED OR IT WILL DO DAMAGE TO THE VAN. OR FELL LIKE SOMETHING WAS HITING.. SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND SAID IT WAS THE SUSPENSION SO HE SENT ME TO HIS MECHANIC.... AFTER ABOUT 2 DAYS WITH OUT MY VEHICLE...THEY CALLED ME TO SAY EVERYTHING WAS GOOD ... IT DID THE SAME THING A FEW WEEK LATER..... AT THIS TIME I NOTICED THE THE STEERING WILL WAS GETTING STIFF SO I HAD IT CHECKED THE OIL AND YES IT WAS A LITTLE LOW.. SO I ADDED POWER STEERING FLUID... AS I WAS HEADED TO THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SO HARD TO TURN TO THE RIGHT OFF HIGHWAY LANE... SO I DECIDED TO TURN BACK TO TOWN..... I HEADED TO THE GAS STATION AS I PULLED UP TO A PUMP IT SOUNDED LIKE A BURST AND ALL THE OIL STARTED LEAKING... I DID HAVE THIS PART CHANGED AS THE DEALER AGAIN SAID THEY DID NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM...I HAD A MECHANIC CHANGE THE SO CALL PART..,, BUT MY MINIVAN HAS NOT CHANGED AT ALL THE POWER STEERING IS THE SAME ... HAVING DIFFICULT STEERING,,.,, ITS ALMOST MY 3RD YEAR IN MAY AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS... AS I AM STILL PAYING IT OFF....I HAD A FRIEND TELL ME TO FILE A REPORT AND AS I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO ..I DID GOOGLE AND I HAVE FOUND OTHER PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE THE SOME PROBLEM... ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE. ABS ACTUATOR FAILS TO PROPERLY ENGAGE UPON STARTING VEHICLE. "ABS", "TCS OFF", "SLIP" WARNING LIGHTS ALL ILLUMINATED AT START OF VEHICLE. ABS ACTUATOR MAKES PRONOUNCED NOISE (PUMPING BUT NOT ACCUMULATING NECESSARY PRESSURE) AT START OF VEHICLE. *TR

MY VEHICLE WAS T-BONED ON THE LEFT DRIVER SIDE. THE FRONT QUARTER PANEL AND REAR QUARTER PANEL WAS DAMAGED. THE LEFT WHEEL AND TIRE ROD WAS REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED BUT EVERY SINCE THIS ACCIDENT I HAVE HAD SEVERE ISSUES WITH MY FRONT END STEERING AND RATTLING NOISE. I CANNOT DRIVE OVER BUMPS WITHOUT MY FRONT END FEELING LIKE IT SHIFTS AND I CANNOT TURN CURVES OVER 20 MPH OR ELSE IT BEGINS TO SHAKE EXTREMELY BAD. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE WORK DONE AND IT KEEPS DOING THE SAME THING. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING WITH MY KIDS IN IT BUT ITS ALL I HAVE. FUEL RAN OUT AND LOCKED STEERING AND STALLED VEHICLE IN MIDDLE OF 4 LANE HIGHWAY WHILE FUEL GAUGE SHOWED HALF FULL TANK. NISSAN DEALER FOUND NO FAULT IN FUEL GAUGE IN MAY 28 2013, BUT 3 FURTHER SIMILAR INCIDENTS TOOK PLACE UNTIL WE STOPPED DEPENDING ON FUEL GAUGE AND REFILL EVERY 100 MILES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER ABRUPTLY DISPLAYED A READING OF 45 MPH. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM AND TRACKING CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHTS ALSO ILLUMINATED DURING THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED TO THE SHOULDER AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. UPON RESTART, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ANTI LOCK BRAKING ACTUATOR AND WHEEL BEARINGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000. THE CONSUMER STATE THE BRAKE ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT HEARD A WHINING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NOISE HAD BECOME LOUDER WHEN DRIVING AT FASTER SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
THE RATTLING NOISE BEGAN AT 45,000 MILES. WHEN I ACCELERATE, A RATTLING CHAIN SOUND IS HEARD FROM THE ENGINE AREA. I CURRENTLY HAVE 50,000 MILES ON MY 2007 NISSAN QUEST. IT HAS TO BE REPLACED OR IT WILL EVENTUALLY DO DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. IT'S AN 8 HR PROCESS. IT'S ESTIMATED AT $1800 FOR THE REPAIR. THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THERE'S NO RECALL. THERE IS A REPAIR BULLETIN OUT BUT NO RECALL. THE SPEEDOMETER READS 20-25MPH WHEN IT'S AT "PARKED" AND SOMETIMES WHEN THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF. I AM DRIVING 60MPH ON A LOCAL ROAD AND 100MPH ON THE FREEWAY. THE REAR BLOWER TURNS ON BY ITSELF WHEN I TURN ON THE ENGINE. I HAVE TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND THE BLOWER TURNS OFF. THE FRONT BLOWER IS OFF DURING THE ENTIRE TIME. THESE ARE REPAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCED BY OTHER OWNERS AND YET THERE'S NO RECALL, ONLY SERVICE BULLETINS. *TR
LOUD SQUEALING NOISE FROM SECONDARY TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS IN ENGINE. WAS TOLD IF TENSIONERS BREAK, TIMING CHAIN WOULD RELEASE INTO ENGINE AND CAUSE A HAZARD. DEALERSHIP FIXED IT- $1700 AND THE SECONDARY TENSIONERS ARE WORN AND CHEAP. THE NEW ONES ARE MUCH DIFFERENT. IF I HAD NOT HAD THE SQUEALING NOISE, THE TIMING CHAIN WOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED INSIDE THE ENGINE. *TR
AROUND 85000 MILES A RATTLING NOISE APPEAR, IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS THE TIMING CHAIN, I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TIMING CHAIN BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A RECALL. IT COST OVER $2000 TO REPAIR A PROBLEM KNOWN TO THE NISSAN COMPANY AND THEY WON'T DO A RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS, TRACTION CONTROL AND SLIP WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE ABS ACTUATOR PUMP MOTOR HAD FAILED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS UNUSUAL BUT COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY HEAVY SNOWS AND MOISTURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,884 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,480.
AT 60000 MILES HAD TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER WHEEL BEARING AND ABS SENSOR IN THE VEHICLE. AT 90000 MILES A KNOCKING SOUND BEGAN TO COME FROM THE ENGINE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED OR IN PARK. MECHANIC ADVISED THIS WAS DUE TO THE TIMING CHAIN, WHICH IS A PROBLEM DUE TO THE PLASTIC PARTS THAT NISSAN USES TO HOLD THE TENSION ON THE CHAIN. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE AS NUMEROUS COMPLAINANTS HAVE BEEN FILED. CONCERNED THAT NISSAN KNEW IT HAD A BAD COMPONENT AND HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM THAT EXIST. ALSO, NOW THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARING IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES AROUND 30000. FIXED THE BRAKES WITH OE PARTS, AND THEN BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE ROTORS. TECHNICIAN ADVISED THESE PROBLEMS CAME FROM THE ROTORS GETTING HOT. HAD THE ROTORS TURNED WHICH DID NOT WORK. NOW I AM GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE ROTORS ON THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. WINDOW MOTOR ALSO HAS WENT BAD IN THE VEHICLE. *TR

SHE HAD TO PLACE THE SPARE TIRE BEHIND THE REAR SEAT WHICH SHE BELIEVED WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THAT AS A DESIGN DEFECT, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD A SPARE TIRE. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 32,000.
2007 NISSAN QUEST ALTERNATOR DEFECTIVE ONLY 7,100 MILES BATTERY JUST DIED OUT AND THE DEALER DIAGNOSED IT AS DEFECTIVE BUT NOT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE MORE THAN 3 YEARS. *TR
