Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Rogue Select vehicles manufactured November 17, 2014, to December 12, 2014 and equipped with seventeen-inch wheels. The affected vehicles have incorrect tire size information on the tire labels. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less."
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and will send them new labels with the corrected information, free of charge. The recall began on June 22, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Altima vehicles manufactured January 3, 2013, to July 29, 2013, 2015-2016 Rogue vehicles manufactured October 14, 2014, to August 12, 2016, and 2016 Maxima vehicles manufactured June 4, 2015, to August 19, 2015. An incorrect Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may have been installed in the front passenger seat. The incorrect ECU and seat combination may misclassify the front passenger seat occupant.
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ECU and update the OCS software free of charge. The recall began February 13, 2017. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured June 9, 2015, to June 10, 2015, and 2015 Nissan Sentra and Versa Note vehicles manufactured June 5, 2015, to June 13, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the driver side front and rear doors may not fully latch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components."
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the date, lot number, and cavity code on the left front and rear door latches, and replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on August 31, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured July 31, 2013, to January 16, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the rear lift gate support stays may corrode due to insufficient anti-corrosion treatment.
Remedy Status

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, 2013-2016 Nissan Altima, NV200, LEAF, Sentra, and Pathfinder, 2014-2016 Nissan NV200 Taxi, Infiniti QX60, QX60 Hybrid, and Q50 Hybrid, 2014-2017 Nissan Rogue and Infiniti Q50, 2015-2016 Nissan Murano, Murano Hybrid, and Chevrolet City Express, 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, and 2013 Infiniti JX35 vehicles. In these vehicles, the front seat passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child or classify the seat as empty despite it being occupied. As a result, the passenger frontal air bag may be turned off and not deploy in the event of a crash.
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify their owners. Chevrolet City Express owners will be notified by General Motors. Dealers will reprogram the Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) and OCS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in Altima, Maxima, Murano, Rogue, and Sentra vehicles, and replace the OCS ECU in LEAF, NV200, NV200 Taxi, Pathfinder, Infiniti Q50, JX35, and QX60 and Chevrolet City Express vehicles, free of charge. Interim notices were sent to owners on May 31, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, Infiniti customer service at 1-888-833-3216 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles manufactured August 14, 2014, to November 5, 2014, and 2014-2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured August 12, 2014, to November 15, 2014. During the assembly process, the front wheel hub assembly fasteners may not have been properly torqued.
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and tighten any loose bolts to the proper specification, free of charge. The recall began February 2, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Rogue vehicles manufactured February 10, 2015, to May 13, 2015. In the affected vehicles, due to a problem with the shift selector knob, it may be possible to shift out of the "Park" position without depressing the brake pedal. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
Remedy Status
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the shift selector knob, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2016. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Rogue vehicles. The electrical connector for the under dash harness may corrode due to water and salt intrusion from the driver's side foot well.
Remedy Status
Dealers will remove the harness tape and harness covering and replace both connectors and apply white lithium grease to the connectors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 23, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21B9.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
Remedy Status
Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.
I am writing to formally document my experience with the service performed at Nissan Heights following a recall repair on my vehicle. My vehicle was brought to Nissan Heights on Monday, March 2, for recall service related to NHTSA Recall #22V-024 (Nissan Recall #R21B9) involving the wiring harness. I dropped off the vehicle early that morning with the expectation that the recall work would be completed properly and that the vehicle would be returned in good working condition. After the recall inspection and service process, I was informed that additional components needed to be replaced the Engine Control Module (ECM), and the Body Control Module (BCM). The cost of replacing these components was several thousand dollars. Based on the nature of the recall and the research I conducted regarding this issue, these failures appear to be directly related to the wiring harness recall. However, Nissan Heights informed me that these repairs were my responsibility. In order to retrieve my vehicle, I proceeded with the repairs and paid the required amount after 8 days. When I picked up my vehicle, I later discovered that certain parts had not been properly reassembled before the car was returned to me. I did not immediately notice this until I was already driving home. Because I had to go to work, I was unable to return to the dealership right away and had to make an additional trip back to Nissan Heights so that the issue could be corrected. More concerning, after further inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that a significant amount of what appears to be an acidic grease or liquid substance had been spilled over the exterior of my vehicle. This substance was present on the roof, sides, and doors of the car and appears to have caused damage to the paint. This damage was not present prior to leaving the vehicle at the dealership. The most likely explanation is that the substance came from another vehicle positioned above mine while it was stored or servic
The vehicle is experiencing a serious door locking malfunction. Even after the car is locked, the doors repeatedly attempt to lock again every few seconds. During this time, the horn sounds and the lights flash continuously, as if the vehicle is trying to re-lock itself but failing. This behavior continues repeatedly. This issue raises serious safety concerns for the following reasons: •The vehicle may not be securely locking. •The repeated locking attempts may indicate a failure in the door lock actuator or body control system. •The malfunction could potentially cause the doors to unlock unexpectedly. •The constant horn and light activity drains the battery and creates public disturbance. The problem occurs intermittently but frequently enough to cause concern. There have been no recent modifications made to the vehicle. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigate this issue to determine whether it is a widespread defect affecting other 2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles. My 2015 Nissan Rogue Select, driver side rear door, Door lock has failed with the door in the locked and closed position. I understand there is an ongoing lawsuit over this failure and I am making a complaint to support that this is a safety hazard. While other means of escaping the vehicle are available for an emergency situation, they are less than ideal if the door lock has failed. So far this is the only lock that has completely failed in this manner.
I am the original owner of a 2015 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ) with approximately 63,000 miles. After driving for about 20–30 minutes, the engine will suddenly rev up but the vehicle will not accelerate or will barely move when I press the gas pedal. This has happened multiple times when trying to merge, climb hills, or cross intersections. The vehicle loses drive power even though the engine is running and revving. When this happens, I have to move over and wait until the vehicle cools down before it will drive normally again. My Nissan dealer has diagnosed the issue as a failing CVT transmission and quoted about $7,700 to replace it. This behavior creates a serious safety hazard because the car can lose power in traffic, leaving me unable to accelerate to highway speed, climb grades, or clear intersections. I am concerned this may be related to known Nissan CVT problems and believe it should be investigated as a safety‑related defect. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed over a bump in the roadway, the vehicle shuddered and swayed to one side and made an abnormal clunking sound. The vehicle was pulled over into a parking lot and parked. A neighbor inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the passenger’s side rear wheel needed to be aligned and that the rear trailing arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the subframe was corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
The airbag light comes on for no reasons and after spending the money to test it, the mechanics suggested multiple defects (clock spring, module, etc). There is no hit or anything and yet it just becomes faulty.
Once a year my car won't start, I get it towed to a dealership and they always say nothing is wrong but recommend getting a new battery even though the battery is not failing. So every year they try to get me to buy a new battery and warranty won't cover my battery because its not failing. I've had them run other test like parasitic draw and they say they find nothing. Every year I deal with this issue and have to deal with getting my car towed and usable for a couple days then magically starts working.
Was traveling down the road the curtain air bags deployed and filled car with smoke so badly driver couldn’t see and caused him to wreck in a creek it totaled the vehicle and progressive insurance had co-part to pick it up there was no warning that the air bags were going to deploy
This is a known issue for the 2015 rogue and a huge safety problem. Nissan needs to issue a recall.
Hatch hydraulic lift failed and trunk slammed on me. I also believe the hood latch might be a safety concern due to the hood wiggling like it doesn’t want to stay shut and shaking when on highway
To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a vehicle safety complaint regarding a sudden and complete failure of the Body Control Module (BCM) in my 2015 Nissan Rogue. This failure has resulted in a complete "no-start" condition, rendering the vehicle inoperable without warning. The problem occurred on or about [Date of Breakdown, if known]. The vehicle would not start, despite the ignition powering on. A professional diagnosis was performed, which confirmed that the Body Control Module had failed and was not sending the required signal to the Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) to allow the vehicle to start. The technician's notes state: "FOUND NO SIGNAL FROM BCM TO IPDM TO START VEHICLE." I have since learned that this is a known manufacturer issue, documented in Nissan Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) NTB16-024, titled "No Start, MIL ON, DTC U1000, U1010, C110A, P1614, P1615, P1630, P1631 (Reprogram BCM or Replace IPDM)." The diagnosis and attempted repair on my vehicle perfectly match the procedure outlined in this TSB. Safety Concern: While a"no-start" condition may not seem like a traditional safety hazard, the sudden and unpredictable nature of this failure presents a significant safety risk. A vehicle that becomes completely inoperable without warning can strand drivers and passengers in potentially dangerous situations, such as: · In the middle of intersections or busy roadways. · In isolated areas with no access to help. · During extreme weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, storms). · While transporting individuals with medical needs. The failure of a critical electronic component like the BCM, which is responsible for numerous vehicle functions, at only 50,000 miles indicates a serious and potentially widespread defect in materials or workmanship. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this failure pattern in 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue vehicles.existence of a TSB and numerous complaints from other owners online suggest a major defect.
What component failed: The CVT on our 2015 Nissan Rogue failed while in operation. The vehicle is now inoperable. In 12/2024, at 84,000 miles, we brought the car to a Nissan dealership due to stalling and hesitation. The service record noted: “Felt trans judder during a slow turn,” which matches early CVT failure symptoms outlined in Nissan Technical Service bulletin SB‑10075090‑5448. Despite this, the issue was not flagged, and a transmission flush was performed as a precaution. Safety risk: The failure occurred while my 17‑year‑old daughter was driving on the expressway. The vehicle suddenly lost power in ACTIVE TRAFFIC and she had to coast to the shoulder. This placed her life, and other drivers around her, at risk of a rear‑end collision at highway speed. Sudden loss of propulsion in high‑speed traffic is a serious safety hazard. Importantly, this CVT issue has been and is the subject of multiple Technical Service Bulletins. Older vehicles like ours are commonly passed down to first-time drivers, especially teenagers. By refusing to address known transmission defects in these vehicles past arbitrary warranty thresholds, Nissan is knowingly putting thousands of young drivers at daily risk. Has the problem been reproduced / confirmed by dealer: The same drivability symptoms were reported to and documented by a Nissan dealership in December 2024 at 84,000 miles. They performed a transmission flush and stated the vehicle was fine. Less than 5,000 miles later, the CVT failed completely. Has the vehicle been inspected by others: The vehicle has been inspected by a Nissan dealership (12/2024). Nissan Consumer Affairs was contacted several times, but no remedy or goodwill inspection has been offered. Were there warning symptoms before failure: Yes. Stalling / hesitation while driving had been occurring the entire time prior to failure. The Nissan dealership documented “trans judder” in December 2024, which matches Nissan’s own TSB language for CVT failure symptoms.
Upon starting the car the airbag, seatbelt light came on and will not go off.
My car all of a sudden is having electrical issues. The radio is changing stations and volume all by itself. The steering wheel is getting hard to turn. The brake light fuse is burning out right away. I’ve replaced the fuse 3 times already in one week but it keeps burning out within 24hrs or less. My gages are going up and down fast motion. My battery all of a sudden is draining and it is brand new. I only have a little over 60,000. This is not normal at all and it is going to cause me to get in an accident.

Airbag warning light on dashboard is blinking. After troubleshooting and running Nissan Diagnostics, Nissan dealer repair technicians cannot determine which airbag sensor has failed or in question. Potential risk is unknown.
It has been going on for years, when I am outside the car - the open drivers side door closes by itself and locks by itself. It does t matter where I am parked. Even on level surfaces the door does this. This can be problematic if the driver is locked out as a result of this. Hot weather is here We don’t want someone locked out or a child locked in. As I say, this has been going on for years. The latest incident was last night. I have formed the habit of holding my key ring in my hand when I exit my car. Again, this habit saved me last night.
It started when I purchased it in February 2025 Mileage was 99200 I noticed the seatbelt warning signs didn’t ding if I didn’t have my seatbelt on. And the sunroof not only was leaking but it is coming apart where it is held in place I’m afraid it will suddenly come down and strike me without notice while driving. Theee days ago I noticed the airbag light came on while I had the driver assist engaged so I stopped and turned the driver assistance light on and then off which caused the airbag light to turn off . But today with 1100 miles on the vehicle I was driving and the light. Came on as I was driving again. I tried turning off the drivers assistance button but the light stays on!!! I’m concerned about the safety while driving with the airbag light, the seatbelt not signaling when the seatbelt is not on it ding to remind me that someone doesn’t have their seat belt on. At lastly , I believe that I am going to be injured by the sunroof motor fulling down while I am driving causing a car wreck and or injuring me or a passenger. The OCS system in the 2015 model needs to be fixed before serious injury occurs.
REAR LIFT GATE SUPPORTS .HATCHBACK HAS TO BE PUSED UP AND IS VERY HARD TO DO. HAS TO BE HELD UP SO IT DOESN'T COME DOWN ON US.SEEN THAT WAS A RECALL ON THIS ID # PC459 BUT ITS NOT SHOWING UP.
