Additionally, the contact stated that two messages were displayed “Warning – Malfunction” and a “Warning - Chassis System Control Error”. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts and depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, after restarting the vehicle and driving below 20 MPH, the vehicle began shaking and lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the same parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS, wheel bearing, mass air flow sensor, and sway bar links needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
My caliper fell off about a month after purchasing. I acknowledge it was a used vehicle but it was a known problem in the past which I was told was fixed.

The contact desperately pressed on the brake pedal, but the vehicle would not stop, causing the contact to strike a crane that was in front, causing front damage to the vehicle but no damage to the crane. No one was injured. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was unknown.
Brakes went out
My wife told me her brake pedal is going to the floor. I test drove it and sure enough brakes go soft and spongy sometimes you can pump the pedal and they will work for a little while. Car has 53883 miles on it and is available for inspection. Will contact dealer in a few days see what they say. No warning lights on. Having worked on cars my whole life makes me think master cylinder is failing but with all the electronic controls don't know. Now parked in garage afraid to drive it.
The abs actuator pump failed when I was driving and I barely managed to get home safely.
My brakes locked up on me and now my brake pad flew off
when i got the car my speakers were out and the brakes were bad i been to the nissan dealership to get my recall fix but they always tell me they don’t have the parts I don’t drive the vehicle anymore after I found out about the recall two years after I purchased the vehicle it’s putting me in my family at risk because I was driving a recall safety hazard vehicle for years without me knowing
WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AT 9:00 A.M. DURING MORNING TRAFFIC. APPROACHED A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH STOPPED TRAFFIC AND WHEN I APPLIED MY BRAKES THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I HAD NO BRAKES. I SWERVED TO AVOID STOPPED TRAFFIC AND ENDED UP IN A LANDSCAPING AREA, STILL NO BRAKES AND CRASHED INTO A TREE HEAD ON. AS A RESULT THERE WAS A LANDSCAPER WORKING IN THE AREA WHERE I CRASHED AND HE WAS STRUCK. HE SUFFERED BROKEN BONES AND I SUFFERED A DISLOCATED SHOULDER, FRACTURE STERNUM AND BRUISED TAIL BONE FROM THE CAR GOING AIR BORN. IT APPEARS THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY FAILED AND DETACHED FROM THE BRAKE BOOSTER PUSH-ROD/MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY. WE YOU PRESS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IS STAYS DOWN ON THE FLOOR AND DOES NOT COME BACK UP. YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY MOVE IT UP AND DOWN AND THERE IS A METAL TO METAL CLICKING SOUND DURING MOVEMENT. WHILE DRIVING AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKES FAILED. AS RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED KNEE AND BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. AFTER PARKING ON A STEEP INCLINE, I SET THE PARKING BRAKE BY PUSHING THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKE WAS SET. UPON RETURNING TO VEHICLE, I STARTED VEHICLE, PLACED IN DRIVE, ATTEMPTED TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. I WAS UNAWARE OF HOW TO RELEASE BRAKE.(PREVIOUS AND POST YEAR ROGUES STATE ON THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL "PUSH ON PUSH OFF". MY CAR HAD A PLAIN BLACK PEDAL WITH NO INSCRIPTION). WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FIND THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE, I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED THE LEVER TO OPEN THE HOOD WITCH IS LOCATED IN THE AREA OF MY PARKING BRAKE RELEASE OF MY DODGE. I GOT OUT TO CLOSE HOOD LEAVING THE CAR IN DRIVE. UPON RETURNING TO DRIVERS SEAT MY RIGHT FOOT TOUCHED THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL, RELEASING BRAKE AND THE CAR SPED DOWNHILL WITH 2 PASSENGERS ABOARD AND DRAGGING ME OUTSIDE THE CAR REACHING APP. 35 MPH BEFORE CRASHING INTO TREE. HAD THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL BEEN INSCRIBED "PUSH ON PUSH OFF", AS IN PREVIOUS AND POST YEARS OF THE SAME MODEL CAR I WOULD HAVE SEEN HOW TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. I HAVE PHOTOS OF DIFFERENT YEARS 2011 THRU 2014 OF THIS MODEL SHOWING "PUSH ON PUSH OFF" AND VIDEO OF MY 2015 NISSAN ROGUE SV (TOP OF THE LINE MODEL) WITH A PLAIN "NO INSCRIPTION" RUBBER PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. THERE ARE NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS ANYWHERE IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR THAT STATE HOW TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. THE OWNERS MANUAL DOES STATE HOW TO RELEASE BRAKE.
WIFE WAS DRIVING CAR AND APPLIED BRAKES. THEY DIDN'T WORK RIGHT AS THE CAR DID NOT SLOW AS IT SHOULD HAVE. REAR ENDED A CAR THAT WAS STOPPED AT LIGHT. ASSURED ME 100% THAT SHE WAS APPLYING BRAKES AND THAT SHE WASN'T TEXTING OR LOOKING AT PHONE. ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT OR AROUND 25 MPH INTO STOPPED CAR. CLEAN HIT DIRECTLY FRONT END TO REAR END. EVERYONE WALKED AWAY SORE BUT RELATIVELY UNSCATHED. CARS LEFT VIA TOW TRUCKS. NEXT DAY WIFE WAS COMPLAINING OF SPOTS IN EYE AND DIZZY. WENT TO ER. NOTHING WRONG SUPPOSEDLY. 16.5K DAMAGE TO CAR. 2 DAYS AFTER THE ACCIDENT SHE HAD A STROKE. DOCTORS SAY IT WAS BECAUSE OF HEAD WHIP DUE TO IMPACT. AIRBAGS/SEATBELTS WORKED AS ADVERTISED BUT THE HEAD WHIPPED AND CAUSE A DISSECTION OF RIGHT CAROTID ARTERY. CAUSE A CLOT THAT WAS RELEASED AND CREATED A STROKE ON RIGHT SIDE OF BRAIN. LOST ALL FUNCTION ON LEFT SIDE, COULD NOT WALK, SPEECH SLURRED, NO MOVEMENT ON LEFT SIDE AT ALL. BEEN IN HOSPITAL SINCE DEC 8. AMBULANCE TO ER. AIR AMBULANCE TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL. ICU FOR 2 WEEKS, REHAB HOSPITAL FOR OVER A MONTH. LUCKILY MY WIFE LIVED, BUT RIGHT NOW SHE IS LEARNING HOW TO DO EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN. *TR
