REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILURE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO AT LEAST 25 OTHER OWNERS THAT I KNOW OF. NISSAN HAS NOT PROPERLY ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE. THE FACTORY HAS INCREASED THE FLUID CAPACITY AND NOW USES SYNTHETIC FLUID. ALSO AN ALUMINUM FINNED COVER FOR BETTER HEAT TRANSFER. THIS IS A 'BAND AID' FOR A DIFFERENTIAL THAT IS NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE WEIGHTS THIS VEHICLE IS DESIGNED TO TOW. FAILURES CONTINUE EVEN AFTER THE BAND AID HAS BEEN PERFORMED. SOME OWNERS HAVE HAD 4 FAILURES ON THE SAME TRUCK!!!! *JB
BRAKE PEOBLEMS WITH OUR 2004 NISSAN TITAN. WE HAVE HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES AND ON ONE OCCATION WE HAD AN ACCEDENT AND WE BELIEVE IF THE BRAKES WORKED PROPERLY IT WOULD HAVE AVOIDED DAMAGE TO OUR TRUCK.I CONTACTED NISSAN ABOUT THE BRAKE PROBLEM AND THEY STATED THAT I TOOK TO LONG TO REPORT THE PROBLEM TO THEM AND COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
I HAVE A 2004 NISSAN TITAN. THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS ON THE END OF THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH AND HAS SOME SLIGHTLY RAISED RIDGES. I HAVE ON AT LEAST FIVE OCASSIONS ACCIDENTLY TURNED OFF THE HEADLIGHTS WHEN GOING FROM HIGH BEAM TO LOW BEAM OR WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. THE LIGHT SWITCH TURNS VERY EASILY AND AS MY FINGES SLIDE OVER THE KNOB IT TURNS THE HEADLIGHTS TO THE OFF POSITION. A VERY DISTURBING AND FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. I AM AN EXPERIENCED DRIVER HAVING TRAVEL ALL OVER THE U.S. AND SEVERAL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND THIS IS AN UNNERVING EXPERIENCE AT NIGHT. I HAVE COMPLAINTED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TO NISSAN (REFERENCE # 4853986) BUT ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THE SWITCH WORKS FINE. I ALSO KNOW ANOTHER TITAN OWNER AND HE HAS HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT WILL GET SOMEONE KILLED OR INJURED. *AK
MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN WILL NOT SHIFT DUE TO A FAULTY/ SHEARED WIRE IN THE COLUMN SHIFTER. WHILE TOWING IT CREATES A HAZARDOUS CONDITION DUE TO THE INABILITY TO SHFT GEARS. *TR
REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILURE IN MY NISSAN TITAN PICKUP. STARTED AS A CLUNK WHEN CHANGING GEARS FROM PARK TO DRIVE AROUND 9,700 MILES ON THE TRUCK. EVENTUALLY LED UP TO A FEELING OF SLACK IN THE DRIVLINE, A FEELING AS IF THE U-JOINTS WERE GOING OUT. BACKED OUT OF DRIVEWAY ONE DAY AND A LOUND POP FOLLOWED BY GRINDING OCCURED. HAD IT TOWED DOWN TO JOHANSON NISSAN AND THEY REPLACED IT, BUT TOOK OVER 30 DAYS SINCE THERE WAS A NATIONAL BACKORDER FOR THE REAR DIFF. THIS HAPPENDED IN FEBURARY OF 05, AND I WAS #12 ON THE PARTS LIST. REPLACEMENT DIFF ONLY LASTED AROUND 7,000 MILES AND WENT OUT AS WELL. BOTH REAR DIFF FAILURES WERE CAUSED BE BROKEN SPIDER GEARS. DEALERSHIP AGREED TO BUY BACK TRUCK. *NM
THE TIRE AIR PRESSURE SENSOR CONTINUED TO GO OFF WHEN DRIVING IN COLD WEATHER. AS A RESULT, THE SENSOR LIGHT STAYED ON. DEALER STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. *AK
WARPED ROTOR. NORMAL USE. 6K MILES. 2004 NISSAN TITAN TRUCK. DEALERS "FIX" IS TO TURN THE ROTOR AND MAKE IT THINNER RATHER THAN REPLACING IT WITH A HEAVER PART. *JB
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A FRONT BRAKE PROBLEM. OWNER HAD THE ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED AFTER 7,000 MILES. WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY WHEN BRAKING. OWNER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE AWARE THAT THE BRAKES WERE DEFECTIVE BECAUSE OF A DESIGN FLAW. *AK THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. *TC
SAME WARPAGE OF FRONT BRAKES. DEALER SAID ALL THEY ARE DOING IS TURNING ROTORS. IF THE SHUDDER CONTINUES, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE CALIPER BRACKET BREAKS? *JB THE CALIPER SPINS AND TEARS THE BRAKE LINE LOOSE, WOW NO BRAKES. NISSON WILL BE SUED IF THIS IS NOT FIXED QUICKLY.
SINCE THE PURCHASE OF OUR 2004 NISSAN TITAN ON 8/31/04, THE FRONT SUSPENSION HAS BEEN OUT OF ALIGNMENT. VEHICLE WOULD IMMEDIATELY VEER TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WAS RELEASED. AFTER FOUR ATTEMPTS BY THE DEALERSHIP TO RESOLVE THE ALIGNMENT PROBLEM,THE NISSAN DISTRICT TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (DTS) REMOVED THE VEHICLE FROM AN AS MANUFACTURED CONFIGURATION BY GRINDING DOWN THE RIGHT CASTER ECCERTIC ADJUSTMENT BOLTS.THIS MODIFICATION WAS A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE ALIGNMENT TO NEAR SPECIFICATIONS WHILE NEGATING THE NEED AND COST INVOLVED TO IDENTIFY AND REPAIR THE ACTUAL PROBLEM PROHIBITING THE FRONT SUSPENSION FROM BEING ALIGNED PROPERLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE ORIGINAL AS MANUFACTURED CONFIGURATION. SUBSEQUENT TO THIS MODIFICATION, THE FRONT SUSPENSION IS STILL NOT WITHIN THE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS AND THE VEHICLE VIBRATES AND SHAKES AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50MPH. THE DEALER HAS TRIED, WITHOUT SUCCESS, TO ELIMINATE THE VIBRATION WITH WHEEL AND TIRE REPLACEMENTS. THIS SHORT CUT TYPE FIX DONE BY THE NISSAN DTS HAS AFFECTED THE INTEGRITY OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION, PUT THE VEHICLE IN AN UNSTABLE DRIVING CONDITION AND CREATED A SAFETY ISSUE ON THE ROAD.*AK
BRAKES ON MY 004 NISSAN TITAN STARTED FAILING A FEW MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND GOT IT REPAIRED AND A FEW MONTHS AFTER IT STARTED TO HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM, SHAKING BADLY WHEN YOU TRY TO STOP. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER GOT IT FIX AND IT STARTING TO SHOW THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN ONLY A FEW WEEKS AFTER I TOOK IT BACK THE 2ND TIME.THE THING THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE RIGHT TO ME IS THAT AT THEIR GARAGE REPAIR SCHEDULING IS ALL ABOUT BRAKES . I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THIS KIND OF VEHICLE. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME
THE FRONT BRAKES ON MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN BEGAN SHAKING VIOLENTLY AT 8100 MILES IN JAN '05. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ONLY RESURFACED THE ROTORS AND PUT ON NEW PADS. AGAIN IN APR '05 IT STARTED SHAKING CAUSING ME TO ALMOST LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE NEW BRAKES FROM NISSAN SINCE THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT ALLOWING DEALERS TO STOCK THE PARTS. THEY HAD TO ORDER THEM BY VIN. NEARLY TWO WEEKS LATER MY PARTS ARE NOT IN AND I AM FORCED TO PUT THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD EVERY DAY CARYYING MY 22 MONTH OLD TWINS. THE DEALER AND NISSAN DON'T SEEM TO BE CONCERNED LIKE IT'S NO BIG DEAL. DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE ANYTHING GETS DONE WITH THIS?
NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY AS OF YET. HOWEVER, I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING BRAKE JUDDER ISSUES ON MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN EVRY 3000 TO 5000 MILES. I CURRENTLY HAVE 10,900 MILES ON THE TRUCK, AND HAVE JUST BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THE THIRD TIME FOR REPAIR OF THIS ISSUE. JUDJING FROM MY EXPERIENCE, AND THAT OF OTHER TITAN OWNERS, IT IS REASONABLY CLEAR TO ME THAT WE ARE DEALING WITH AN INFERIOR DESIGN OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM ON THIS TRUCK AND IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NISSAN HAS BEEN DEALING WITH FOR MONTHS NOW, BUT WITH NO GOOD RESOLUTION. IT HAS EVEN BEEN RUMORED FROM A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE AT NISSAN, THAT THE PROBLEM EXTENDS BACK TO A MISPLACED PURCHASE ORDER FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF THE BRAKE PARTS. RATHER THAN ORDER THE RIGHT PARTS, AND DELAY SHIPMENT, NISSAN HAS ELECTED TO BUILD THE TRUCKS AND DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM LATER. I HOPE THAT THERE CAN BE SOME KIND OF INVESTIGATION INTO THIS PROBLEM, WITH THE OUTCOME BEING A FORCED RECALL (NOT JUST A TSB).*AK
RANDOMLY, SEVERAL TIME A WEEK..AND THEN NOT FOR MONTHS..AND THEN THE SYMPTOM REAPPEARS. WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK, THE BRAKE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE. IF I DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, WHILE THE BRAKE LIGHT IS LIT, THE PEDAL MOVES TO THE FLOOR EASILY, THE BRAKES SHUDDER AND THE FEEL OF THE POWER BRAKE SYSTEM IS GONE. THE STOPPING POWER IS DRAMITICALLY COMPROMISED. THE FIX SEEMS TO BE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART THE ENGINE. THE BRAKE LIGHT GOES OFF AND MAY REMAIN OFF FOR DAYS, THE BRAKE FEEL AND FUNCTION ARE FINE. THEN RANDOMLY, THE PROBLEM WILL REAPPEAR. I CAN'T FIND A CODE FOR IT. A LAWSUIT WAS FILED AND SETTLED IN CALIFORNIA FOR THIS ISSUE..SEE: THE NISSAN BRAKE / DELTA STROKE SENSOR CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT WAS FILED IN THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA - BANKS ET AL V. NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. ET AL. BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD RECALL AND REPAIR. SCARY WHEN THIS OCCURS ON A HIGHWAY AND THE 5600 POUND TRUCK IS TRAVELING 60 MPH OR MORE. SINCERELY. *JS
BRAKES HAVE TERRIBLE VIBRATION/SHUDDER. REPLACE AT 5000, 9,000, 15000, & NOW 20000 MILES.
I PURCHASED A 2004 NISSAN TITAN LE IN NOVEMBER OF 2004. WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHED A LITTLE OVER 4,000 MILES THE BRAKES STARTED TO SHUDDER AND THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIBRATE AND ALSO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS AND GROUND THE ROTORS AND THE PROBLEM APPEARED FIXED. AFTER ANOTHER 2,000 MILES OF DRIVING THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE PUSHED FURTHER AND FURTHER CLOSER TO THE FLOORBOARD TO GET BRAKES TO STOP THE TRUCK. THEN THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE ALONG WITH THE PEDAL. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND THE ROTORS WERE TURNED AGAIN APPEARING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. AFTER ABOUT 200 MILES THE BRAKES BEGAN TO FADE AGAIN. THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE PEDAL HAVE NOT STARTED TO VIBRATE YET BUT GOING WITH THE PAST HISTORY OF THE PROBLEM IT SHOULD ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME. I WANT NISSAN TO FIX THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. THE PROBLEM COULD NOT ONLY BE A SAFETY PROBLEM DUE TO NO BRAKE PEDAL WHEN APPLIED BUT ALSO VIBRATION FROM APPLYING PEDAL. LASTLY A TRUCK WITH ONLY 6500 MILES SHOULD NOT KEEP GETTING THE ROTORS TURNED OVER AND OVER. *AK
THE VEHICLE THE ATSC LIGHT CAME ON AND IT LOST POWER. THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WAITED FOR 2 MINUTES AND THE COMPUTER RESTARTED. THE TRANSMISSION JUST SEEMED TO TO SLOW DOWN. THE DEALER FOUND NO DEFECTS AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE ALSO SMELLED OF ANTIFREEZE, AND THE SWITCH FROM HIGH BEAM TO LOW BEAM TURNS ALL THE LIGHTS OFF. *JB
2004 TITAN PICKUP; I HAD FRONT END ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND FOUR ALIGNMENTS AND THREE SETS OF TIRES LATER I FINALLY GOT THE ALIGNMENT RIGHT WITH A PRIVATE BUSINESS. THE REAR AXLE SEAL BEGAN LEAKING I THINK BEFORE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT BUT THE DEALER SERVICING THE TRUCK DID NOT MAKE ME AWARE OF THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. *TR
STEERING SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. VERY HARD TO CONTROL AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. HAD IT REPAIRED AT DEALERSHIP AT 9K MILES, ITS BACK AGAIN AT 13K. I CANT BELIEVE NISSAN HAS NOT RECALLED THIS YET - ITS A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN, AND EVEN WORSE A REAL SAFETY HAZARD FOR EVERYONE ON THE ROAD.*AK
I HAVE A 2004 NISSAN TITAN SE AND IT REQUIRES NEW BRAKES AT 5667 MILES DUE TO A FAULTY BRAKE DESIGN. THE TRUCK SHKES EXCESSIVELY EVERY TIME I STEP ON THE BRAKES. I AM CONCERNED THIS IS A POTENTIAL PROBLEM THAT MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *AK

STILL HAVING SOME PROBLEM. 5-WHEN IDLE IN GEAR (IDLE DROPS BELOW 500 STEERING START TO VIBRATE. 6-VIBRATION ON BRAKE PEDAL. 7-EMERGENCY BRAKE NOT HOLDING WHEN IN PARK. *NM
DT: NISSAN 2004 TITAN PICKUP AND FRONT BRAKE PROBLEMS. THE BRAKES ARE VIBRATING WHEN YOU COME TO A STOP. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP DESCRIBE IT AS WARPED ROTORS ON BOTH FRONT BRAKES. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP SAID THEY WOULD TEMPORARILY FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL NISSAN CAME OUT WITH A PERMANENT FIX. AS YOU APPLY THE BRAKES THE STEERING WHEEL WILL SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE CONSUMER HAS NOT HAD THE TEMPORARY FIX DONE, STILL WAITING ON NISSAN FOR THE RECALL NOTICE. THE NISSAN DEALER SAID THAT NISSAN IS WORKING ON A PERMANENT FIX. *TT *EH CONSUMER STATES THAT WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED STEERING IS HARD TO CONTROL.*SB
HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, WHEN CONTROL STALK IS TOUCHED TO DIM LIGHTS, OR USE THE TURN SIGNAL. HAS HAPPENED OVER 10 TIMES.
GAS TANK "SPEWS" GAS AT YOU WHEN FILLING. THE TANK HAS BEEN REPLACED AND STILL DOES THIS. THE BRAKES "JUDDER" AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO SHAKE. THEY HAVE BEEN REPAIRED THREE TIMES AND ARE STILL NOT CORRECT. NISSAN REFUSES TO ADMIT THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. THERE ARE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS ON THE BRAKES. *NM
NUMEROUS PROBLEMS HAVE ARISEN WITH MY LEASED 2004 NISSAN TITAN KING CAB. INCLUDING SERIOUS VIBRATION PROBLEMS THAT OCCURRED UPON BRAKING TO THE POINT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED UNTIL THE DEALER FINALLY AGREED TO AT LEAST 'TURN' THE ROTORS. EVENTUALLY BRAKES WERE REPLACED BY DEALER 6 MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL PROBLEM. CURRENTLY FACING PROBLEMS INCLUDING A NOISE AT STARTUP THAT EVERYONE CAN HEAR EXCEPT THE DEALER MECHANICS, AN OVERFLOW PROBLEM WITH GAS TANK EVEN THOUGH JUST A FEW LITERS HAVE BEEN PUT IN AN EMPTY TANK. ADDITIONALLY MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH DRIVER SIDE DOOR REFUSING TO OPEN FROM BOTH THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. DEALER HAS REALIGNED DOOR NUMEROUS TIMES BUT PROBLEM CONTINUES. DEALER STATES THE DOOR PROBLEM IS DUE TO A POOR DESIGN WITH A HEAVY DOOR ON INADEQUATE HINGES. OCCASIONALLY HAVE HAD TO DRIVE WHILE HOLDING DOOR CLOSED. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONSIDERING WEIGHT OF DOOR. THIS TRUCK IS BARELY ONE YEAR OLD AND PROBLEMS JUST KEEP PILING UP WITH LITTLE DEALER SUPPORT OFFERED.*JB

THE CONSUMER STATED HE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE BRAKES INSPECTED AFTER DISCOVERING A BULLETIN ON THE INTERNET. TWO MONTHS LATER THE BRAKES FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STRIKE ANOTHER VEHICLE AND ROLL OVER. CONSEQUENTLY, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB *BF
DT: WHILE DRIVING TO WORK THE OWNER NOTICED A SHAKING FEELING WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED FOR A STOP LIGHT. THERE WAS EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE PROBLEM BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER FOR SERVICE IN JUNE, AND THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED AT OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE FIRST BRAKE REPAIR WAS AT 20,000 MILES AND COST $1,000.00. TWO MONTHS AFTER THE REPAIRS DEALERSHIP ACTED AS IF THIS WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. SHAKING AT STOP LIGHTS OCCURRED AGAIN. . OWNER CALLED AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM REPAIRED. THE OWNER ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER WHAT THE COMPANY KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE OWNER WILL REFUSE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS IF IT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED. HE WILL CONTACT THE NATIONAL NUMBER FOR NISSAN TODAY. THE VEHICLE WAS REGULARLY SERVICED WITH RECORDS AVAILABLE. *AK
I HAVE A 2004 NISSAN TITAN CREW CAB 4X4 TRUCK AND I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TAILGATE OF THE TRUCK BED. IT IS VERY HEAVY AND MY WIFE HAS DROPPED IT ON HERSELF SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE EVEN DROPPED IT MYSELF. I BELIEVE NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY FIXED IT ON THE 2005 MODEL. I BELIEVE THERE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM IN THE 2004 MODEL AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED! *JB
2004 NISSAN TITAN, DRIVING THROUGH SUPER MARKET SHOPPING CENTER, THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE TRUCK. MY WIFE HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES REPEATEDLY IN ORDER FOR THE TRUCK TO COME TO A STOP. SHE WAS GOING LESS THAN 10 MPH WHEN THIS OCCURRED. IT CONTINUED TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH WAS 1/2 MILE DOWN THE SAME STREET. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM OR REPLICATE IT. SHE REFUSES TO DRIVE THE TRUCK AND WANTS IT GONE. MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS ALSO IN THE TRUCK WILL NOT GO BACK INTO IT. MY BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN FIRST AT 11000 MILES AND AGAIN AT 38000 NOW THIS AT 42000 MILES. WITH ALL THE BRAKE PROBLEMS THESE TRUCKS HAVE HAD, SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. *JB
THE DOOR HANDLES ON MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN ALL FREEZE SHUT WHEN IT GETS COLD OUT. IT SEEMS TO LET WATER COME IN AROUND HANDLE AND THAN IT FREEZES. THIS PREVENT ME FROM BEING ABLE TO GAIN ENTRANCE INTO VEHICLE. THIS OCCURS EVERYTIME IT IS COLD OUT ESPECIALLY IN WINTER. NISSAN REFUSES TO PAY FOR REPAIRS AS VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND IT WILL COST ROUGHLY $175 FOR PARTS PER DOOR PLUS LABOR. I GUESS IN LATER MODELS THEY HAVE REDESIGNED THEM BUT REFUSES TO FIX VEHICLES WITH OLD OLD DESIGNED HANDLES. *TR
FIRST TIME PULLED A TRAILER AND REAREND BURNT THE GEARS UP 12-13-04. SECOND TIME 12/12/05 PULLED AWAY FROM STOP SIGN AND REREND JUST BROKE IF I HAD BEN IN TRAFFIC I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEN HIT BECAUSE THE TRUCK JUST STOPED THEY REPLACED THE WHOLE REAREND BUT DONT SEEM WILLING TO SHOW THE OLD PARTS OR THE OIL OUT OF THE THING. *NM

WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND PULLED OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. *AK
SENSOR FOR THE AIR BAG IS DEFECTIVE. WHEN A PASSENGER SITS IN THE SEAT, WHO WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 130 LBS. THE AIR BAG BECOMES INACTIVE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, WHO SAID THAT THIS WAS THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. ON EOF CONSUMER'S FRIENDS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK

THE SPRAY-IN TRUCK BED LINER HAS ALREADY BEGUN TO DISCOLOR. IT WAS ORIGINALLY BLACK, BUT HAS BEGUN TO TURN WHITE IN LESS THAT 3 MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. DEALER SAID THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, BUT THEY ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. NISSAN GAVE ME THE SAME RESPONSE.*AK
2004 NISSAN TITAN WITH 3 SEPARATE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILURES- EACH TIME WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT, STOP SIGN, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. MOREOVER, TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINE REPLACED WHEREIN DEALER INFORMS ME THAT BLOWOUT COULD LEAD TO FAILURE. FRONT TIRES EXCESSIVE WEAR, VIBRATION AND SHUDDER WITH OR WITHOUT BRAKE APPLICATION. HEADLIGHT SWITCH DESIGN FLAWED, EASILY TURNED OFF WHEN TURN STALK ACTIVATED OR LIGHTS ARE DIMMED FROM HIGH TO LOW BEAM. MY 2004 NISSAN TITAN HAS UNDER 6,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT, LIKE MANY OTHERS, STARTED EXPERIENCED BRAKE JUDDER/FAILURE, ESPECIALLY WHEN BRAKING FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS. REPORTED TO THE DEALER, CONFIRMED JUDDER, AND WAS ADDED TO NISSAN'S LIST FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE (1 SET/2 WEEKS NATION-WIDE, I'M TOLD). RETURNING HOME FROM WORK ON A WET HIGHWAY, UNDER MODERATE BRAKING FOR AN ACCIDENT AHEAD, THE BRAKES LOCKED, SENDING THE TITAN SIDEWAYS INTO A BARRIER. I'VE DRIVEN ACCIDENT-FREE FOR NEARLY 20 YEARS AND NEVER EXPERIENCED TOTAL LOSS OF CONTROL AS IN THE TITAN...IT SIMPLY WOULD NOT STOP AND I WAS TRAVELLING WELL UNDER THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT IN MODERATE TRAFFIC. I HAVE NO DOUBT HAD THE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKES AT THE FIRST COMPLAINT OR NISSAN INSTALLED ADEQUATE FRONT BRAKES FROM THE FACTORY, THE ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.*AK

WATER LEAKS INSIDE OF TRUCK THROUGH THE FIRE WALL. A/C DRAIN HOSE FIX WAS DONE BUT IT STILL LEAKS WATER. DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO REPAIR. WATER INSIDE OF TRUCK CAUSED MOLD TO GROW IN THE CARPET AND SPORES INTO THE HVAC SYSTEM. THIS CAUSED TWO PEOPLE TO HAVE TO GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR DIFFICULTY BREATHING. CONSUMER INFORMED THE MECHANIC THAT THE PROBLEM RECURRED, AND HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *AK
MAJOR STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. TOOK TO DEALER IN DECEMBER TO HAVE TSB PERFROMED. (ROTORS TURNED, NEW PADS, GREASE.) LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER BEING SERVICED THE SHUDDER RETURNED AND IT IS AS BAD AS IT WAS PRIOR TO BEING SERVICED.*AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSATING, STEERING WHEEL AND VEHICLE VIBRATING. THE VEHICLE ALSO PULLED TO THE LEFT WHILE BRAKING. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO TURNED THE FRONT ROTORS. THE PROBLEM RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. *AK THE ROTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY 4000 MILES DUE TO WARPING. *NM
WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE VEHICLE COMMENCED TO ROLL FORWARD. ALTHOUGH THE SHIFT INDICATOR SHOWED VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE VEHICLE WAS ACTUALLY IN NEUTRAL. CONSUMER STATED, THIS CONDITIONS OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OTHER TIMES, AND THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.*AK....CONSUMER CLAIMED AFTER TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION, DEALER AVOIDED TO FIND THE CAUSE OF TRANSMISSION PROBLEM.
