Hello my truck exhaust manifold had a crack and was leaking exhaust fumes, the good thing there was a recall and Nissan dealership replaced it but now the other manifold is leaking carbon monoxide into my cabin making it on save to drive. I call the dealership but the recall is over and my truck dose not have warranty.

Within 50 miles and less than 30 Days of purchase date tire 1 out of 4 blew passenger rear on highway with no cause or warning tire was replaced . 17,000 miles later tire 2 of 4 ,size 265/70/17 blew unexpectedly and with out reason or warning manufacturer and seller were contacted and made aware of incident on 1/31/2023 incident happened 1/30/2023 and 5/09/2021.

Engine stalled while driving then would crank but not start

Ran out of fuel on the highway with still a 1/4 full tank reading. Filled it up and tank still reads 1/4 full.
My truck just stopped in the middle of the road while driving. I could not move the steering wheel and the engine would not turn over. The gas hand was registering a quarter of a tank of fuel so I did not think that I had run out of gas. After being towed to the shop the mechanic checked the vehicle and said that it was just out of gas but the gas gauge was still registering 1/4 of a tank of gas. Gas was put in the truck and it started right up. The mechanic informed me of a recall on the 2005 nissan titans that matched what was happening to my truck. When I informed nissan they told me there is a recall but that my vin number is not included in the recall. I have had the same incident where the truck just shut off 2 more times now and this should be covered by the nissan recall since this is the exact problem that is happening to my truck that is stated in the recall and my truck is the exact year. Can someone please help me to get nissan to honor this recall for my truck? Recall ID#68290

THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAUGE INACCURATELY DISPLAYS THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SOME FUEL, AT ONE QUARTER TANK, WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS ACTUALLY EMPTY. THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS BUT WAS TOLD THAT MY TRUCK WAS NOT AFFECTED EVEN THOUGH IT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION WONT DOWN SHIFT, STUCK IN HIGH GEAR, TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WILL SHIFT FINE TILL I STOP AGAIN
I HAVE A NISSAN NORTH AMERICA RECALL LETTER ADDRESSED TO ME FOR RECAL 06V-459, WHICH IS A AIRBAG LIGHT AND WIRING HARNESS RECALL ON MY DRIVERS SIDE. I WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AT RIVERHEAD NISAAN IN NEW YORK AND LATER FOUND MY RECALL NOTICE AND HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN NORTH AMERICA AND NO QUALITY ASSISTANCE. MY RECALL LETTER SAYS I AM ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENTS AND TO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC AND SAFETY ADMINISTRATION. I AM DOING SO BECAUSE NISSAN IS NOT HELPING ME. RIVERHEAD NISSAN HAS MY REPAIR IN THEIR SYSTEM. ATTACHED ARE PHOTOS OF THE RECALL OF IMPORTANCE. FILED WAS CLAIMED JAN 2021 WITH NISSAN NORTH AMERICA. REPAIR HAPPENED COUPLE YEARS AGO.
RANDOMLY, WHILE DRIVING ANYWHERE I HIT THE BRAKES. THE WHEELS ALMOST LOCK UP AND I CAN HEAR THE ABS KICK IN. ALSO THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON THE DASH. I SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND WHEN RESTARTS EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 230,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
MY FRONT DIFFERENTIAL HALF SHAFT HAS BROKEN INSIDE MY DIFFERENTIAL CASE AND RUINED THE DIFF I UNDERSTAND THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH NISSAN TITAN TRUCKS. I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TRUCK BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSSUE AND NO RECALL HAS BEEN DONE.
NOTES FROM EMAIL RECEIVED FROM NISSAN SHOP 'TECH FOUND DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY NEED TO BE REPLACE FOR THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO GO OFF' AND ' ITS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE SO ITS HARD TO SAY IF IT WILL KEEP YOU IN UR SEAT OR DISCHARGE THE SYSTEM IF IN AN ACCIDENT. SO THE SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK AS DESIGNED WITH THE LIGHT ON.' THIS SAME MODEL HAD A SEATBELT RECALL NISSAN RECALL : WIRE HARNESS 2005 NISSAN TITAN SO I WANTED TO SEE IF THIS WAS A RELATED ISSUE. THE COMPANY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY $650 FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THE TRUCK IS OLDER BUT ONLY HAS 93K MILES ON IT AS MY DAD WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND WAS IN FAILING HELP. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND STOPPED FOR A RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN ONTO A HIGHWAY. WITHOUT ANY WARNING THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING. I WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE. I WAS BLOCKING THE LANE OF TRAFFIC TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AS IT WOULD NOT START AND IT WAS A TRAFFIC HAZARD/BLOCKING TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THE VEHICLE'S GAS TANK WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY, DESPITE THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWING THE GAS TANK JUST OVER 1/4 TANK FULL. THE MECHANIC FOUND A RECALL NOTICE, NHTSA RECALL BULLETIN #10V074000 FOR MY VEHICLE, 2005 NISSAN TITAN, DESCRIBING THE EXACT DEFECT THAT MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED; "THE FUEL GAUGE MAY INACCURATELY DISPLAY THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SOME FUEL, TYPICALLY ABOUT 1/4 TANK, WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS EMPTY." I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL DUE TO THE VIN, EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME YEAR/MAKE/MODEL, 2005 NISSAN TITAN, AND HAS THE EXACT SAME DEFECT AS THE ONE DESCRIBED IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED NHTSA RECALL BULLETIN. HAD I ENTERED THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING, I MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE CRASHED. SEE THE ATTACHED DIAGNOSTIC REPAIR INVOICE, NHTSA RECALL BULLETIN #10V074000, AND NISSAN SERVICE BULLETIN. I BELIEVE THAT MY VEHICLE IS OR SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE EXISTING NHTSA RECALL AND NISSAN SHOULD COMPLY WITH THE RECALL AND REPAIR THE DEFECT AT NO COST TO ME.

CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLD FOUND BY DEALER ON AN INSPECTION BUT HAS BEEN CRACKED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WHEN I RESEARCHED THE CRACK I FOUND IT TO BE AN ISSUE WITH NO RECALL.

THE ODOMETER WAS SET BACK FROM 226,844 TO 114,000 BY SOMEONE WHO OWNED THE CAR PREVIOUSLY AND WE WERE NOT MADE AWARE.*DT*JB
I PURCHASED A USED 2005 NISSAN TITAN WITH ALMOST 117,000 MILES ON IT. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 14 YEARS IT WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND WELL MAINTAINED. I SEARCHED THE NISSAN WEBSITE FOR ANY POSSIBLE RECALLS BECAUSE ANOTHER TITAN I HAD LOOKED AT HAD SEVERAL RECALLS. THE SEARCH SHOWED NO RECALLS FOR MY VIN NUMBER. THEN I CALLED THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION. AFTER 2 SHORT TRIPS I NOTICED IT DID NOT USE ENOUGH GASOLINE TO MOVE THE GAUGE FROM SLIGHTLY OVER A QUARTER OF A TANK. ON THE THIRD TRIP THE ENGINE QUIT ON A RURAL PAVED ROAD, FORTUNATELY THERE WAS A LARGE GRASSY AREA I COULD COAST TO. I KNEW SOME TITANS HAD BEEN RECALLED FOR THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWING AROUND A QUARTER OF A TANK WHEN THEY WERE EMPTY. FORTUNATELY AGAIN I WAS ONLY 2 MILES FROM HOME WHERE I HAD A GAS CAN WITH GAS IN IT AND MY WIFE WAS AT HOME TO BRING IT TO ME. AFTER FILLING ALL 5 GALLONS INTO THE TANK, THE TRUCK CRANKED UP AND DROVE WITH NO PROBLEMS. I IMMEDIATELY REFUELED AT THE NEXT FUEL STATION WHERE IT TOOK ANOTHER 23 GALLONS TO FILL UP, 28 GALLONS TOTAL, THAT IS THE ENTIRE CAPACITY OF THE FUEL TANK. I FEEL THAT NISSAN PUT MY AND MY FAMILIES LIFE AT RISK BY NOT ACKNOWLEDGING A WIDER PROBLEM AND EXPANDING THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT RECALL. FUEL LEVEL IS A SAFETY CONCERN RIGHT AFTER BRAKES, STEERING AND TIRES, NOT TO BE OVERLOOKED. THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE ENDED IN TRAGEDY, MANY PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIFE BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT OF GASOLINE AND IT PUT THEM IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF IS NOT A DANGER IN ITSELF, LIKE WITH AN AIRPLANE, IT'S WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE VEHICLE STOPS AND THE OTHER TRAFFIC IS STILL MOVING THAT RESULTS IN TRAGEDY.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 126,500.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN APPROXIMATELY A MONTH AGO EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS FUELED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL SEIDLES NISSAN (10500 NW 12TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33172) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 37522490. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT , NOW THE STEERING COLUMN SEPARATED FROM THE RACK AND PINION.
7/15/19 3:40 PM RUSH HOUR, BEGAN ENTERING A STATE RD TO CROSS BOTH LANES, TRAFFIC TRAVELING BOTH DIRECTIONS POSTED 55 MPH MOVED IN A STRAIGHT LINE HALFWAY INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, BUT SUDDENLY COULD NOT ACCELERATE. HAD TO QUICKLY REVERSE TO AVOID TBONE SITUATION FROM BOTH SIDES. SCARED ME HORRIBLY. BACKED UP MORE TRIED AGAIN TO GO FORWARD BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED. ENGINE WAS REVVING AT HIGH RPMS BUT TRUCK WOULD ONLY MOVE INCHES AT A TIME IN FORWARD MOTION. SO I TRAVELED BACKWARDS IN REVERSE THE LENGTH OF THE WHOLE STREET I WAS ON TO GET BACK TO MY DRIVEWAY AND BACKED UP MY DRIVEWAY WHERE I PARKED AND CALLED FOR A RIDE FROM MY HVAC TECH WHO WAS MEETING ME AT MY CHURCH TO INSTALL MUCH NEEDED AC UNIT. ONLY A COUPLE DAYS EARLIER, I HAD FLUID LEAKING AND TOOK THE TRUCK IN FOR REPAIR, THE TECH INFORMED ME THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ANTIFREEZE TANK HAD FAILED. THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE FLUSHED, THE TANK, RADIATOR AND FLUID REPLACED. HE TOLD ME IT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME WITH NISSANS. I WILL ATTACH INVOICE FROM HIGHLY REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP.
FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS, I'VE SPENT OVER $3,000 DIAGNOSING AND "FIXING" ERRONEOUS WARNING LIGHTS. THIS PAST WEEK, MY TRUCK (2005 TITAN) WOULD NOT START. THE FIRST TIME, IT JUST CRANKED THE STARTER, BUT WOULD NOT ENGAGE. NOW, I CAN TURN THE IGNITION TO START AND THE STARTER WON'T EVEN ENGAGE (NO "CLICKING" NOISE, NO NOISE WHATSOEVER). IT WILL START AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, BUT I HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST 2-3 MINUTES BETWEEN EACH ATTEMPT. I'VE REPLACED THE ECM (AT MY OWN EXPENSE) AND IT STILL DOES NOT START PROPERLY. IT APPEARS (FROM READING ONLINE POSTS IN TITAN FORUMS) THAT THE ISSUE IS THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE). THE SYMPTOMS ALL LINE UP. I FEEL LUCKY THAT MY ENGINE HAS NOT COMPLETELY STOPPED WHILE DRIVING (YET). THIS IS AN UTTER HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE LOSES THEIR LIFE BECAUSE NISSAN WILL NOT ADDRESS THE IPDM PROBLEM AND RECALL/REPLACE THOSE THAT ARE FAULTY.
MY 2005 NISSAN TORNADOES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OKLAHOMA TURNPIKE AND INTERSTATE I-44 CAUSING ONE OF THE LANES TO BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED. AFTER WARRINGTON A TOW TRUCK AND BEING TOWED TO THE NEAREST NISSAN DEALERSHIP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ONLY ISSUE WAS THE FUEL GAUGE WAS NOT REGISTERING THE CORRECT LEVEL OF GAS IN THE VEHICLE. ALTHOUGH THE GAUGE READ 3\8 OF A TANK REMAINING, THERE WAS NO FUEL IN THE TRUCK. THE NISSAN MECHANICS SAID THIS WAS A RECALL ON THIS YEAR TITAN, BUT ONCE HE CHECKED THE VIN, MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED AS PART OF THE RECALL. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE AS THE VEHICLE CAN DIE AT ANY TIME IN ANY CONDITIONS CAUSING LANE CLOSURES OR WRECKS DUE TO THE SUDDEN FUEL ISSUE WITH NO WARNING. IF NISSAN HAS RECALLED FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE ON THE 2005 TITAN, AND THIS ISSUE IS AFFECTING A 2005 TITAN, I BELIEVE WITHOUT DOUBT THEY HAVE MISTAKENLY OMITTED CERTAIN VIN NUMBERS. IF THIS ISSUE ULTIMATELY CAUSES INJURY OR IN THE WORST SCENARIO, A FATALITY DUE TO THEIR VEHICLE DYING IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAFFIC SITUATION, NISSAN SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

The contact was unable to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank was empty. The contact refueled the vehicle and the vehicle restarted. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times while driving even though the fuel gauge displayed that there was a quarter tank of fuel remaining. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V074000 (Fuel System, Other). The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OF MY TRUCK GAVE OUT AND STARTED SMOKING. I LOST ALL POWER TO CONTROL THE MOMENTUM OF THE TRUCK, ALMOST CAUSING IT TO FLIP BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHANGING LANES WHILE DRIVING 73 MPH. I MANAGED TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND UPON INSPECTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR AXLE I FOUND ALL FLUID HAD LEAKED OUT ONTO THE REAR WHEEL AND IT WAS SMOKING. I TRIED PUTTING THE TRUCK IN GEAR TO SEE IF I COULD MOVE BUT THERE WAS NO POWER BEING PROVIDED TO THE DRIVE TRAIN. THE ONLY POSSIBLE EXPLANATION IS THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL GAVE OUT. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 91006 MILES ON IT AND IF THIS HAD OCCURRED ON ONE OF THE CURVES I AND MY FAMILY WOULD ALL BE IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY PARKED AT A REPAIR SHOP AWAITING REPAIRS.
FUEL GAGE SHOWS 1/4 TANK LEFT OF FUEL BUT CAR OUT OF FUEL WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY NISSAN TITAN 2005 STARTED SHAKING WHILE DRIVING ON A MODERN TRAFFIC. I SUDDENLY STARTED LOSING CONTROL OF THE TRUCK AND THANK GOD I MANAGE EXIT THE FREEWAY WITH THE SPEED I MANAGE TO CONTROL. I PULL OVER TO THE RIGHT AND TRIED TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. MY TRUCK DIDN'T WANT TO TURN ON AND I HAD 1/4 OF GAS LEFT SO IT WAS IMPOSIBLE I NEEDED GAS AFTER TRYING DIFFERENT METHODS, I WALKED TO THE NEAREST GAS STATION, BOUGHT A GALLON OF GAS WITH ITS PROPER FUEL CONTAINER AND ADDED TO MY TRUCK THEN IT TURN ON. I CONTACTED MY NEAREST NISSAN DEALER AND THEY FIXED 2 RECALLS THAT MY TRUCK ALREADY HAD BUT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO FIX MY MAIN PROBLEM WHICH IS THE FUEL PUMP. AND I READ MANY NISSAN TITAN 2005 ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM, I FOUND THE RECALL NUMBER (10V074000) WHICH THE DEALER I ATTENDED DIDN'T WANT TO FIX IT. IT'S BEEN A BAD EXPERIENCE BECAUSE I COULD OF CRASH AND IT COULDN'T GONE WORSE DUE TO MY GAS NOT BEEN CORRECTLY PLUS I MISSED WORK AND IT'S JUST PUTTING STRESS ON ME I NEED THIS FIX THANK YOU
WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY CITY STREET, MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN SHUT OFF UNEXPECTEDLY, CAUSING ME TO BE STALLED IN THE LANE OF TRAVEL. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART AND I WAS FORCED TO PUSH IT OUT OF THE LANE OF TRAVEL INTO A NEARBY BUSINESS PARKING LOT. THE ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT WOULD NOT START. THE FUEL GAUGE READ JUST OVER 1/4 TANK AND NO TROUBLE LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED AND ALL GAUGES WERE WITHIN NORMAL RANGE. I WANTED TO TRY THE MOST SIMPLE THING FIRST SO I HAD MY SON BRING A FUEL CAN TO ME TO SEE IF THE TANK WAS EMPTY. THIS ENDED UP BEING THE CASE AND THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND I STOPPED AT THE FIRST FUEL STATION AND FILLED THE TANK UP. THE GAUGE WENT TO FULL AFTER REFUELING. I RESET MY TRIP ODOMETER AFTER REFUELING TO WATCH THE MILEAGE IN CASE THE GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED AGAIN AND IT DID. THE GAUGE WILL NOT MOVE BELOW 1/4 TANK. NISSAN ISSUED RECALL #10V074000 ON 3-3-2010 FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE. THE RECALL COVERS THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WHICH CAUSES THE FUEL GAUGE TO INACCURATELY DISPLAY REMAINING FUEL. I CONTACTED NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261 AND THE PHONE REP LOOKED UP MY VIN AND TOLD ME THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. MY TITAN IS WITHIN THE VEHICLE YEAR RANGE (2005-2009) THE RECALL COVERS AND IS PRESENTING WITH THIS EXACT ISSUE.

THE GAS GUAGE IM GONING TO SAY STICKS FOR A LACK OF WORDS BUT IT WILL SAY 1/4 TANK THEN INSTANTLY DROP WHICH WE HAVE GOTTEN USED TO SINCE THIS HAS BE ONGOING AND TODAY ON MY WAY TO THE GAS STATION IT WAS AT A QUARTER TANK AND MID TURN DIED LIKE IT RAN OUT OF GAS SINCE THEN I'VE FED IT MORE GAS AND GOT IT TO CRANK BUT ITS NOT DISPLAYING ANY GAS IN IT BY THE GUAGE OR INFORMATION CENTER AND GIVING IT GAS IS DIFFICULT I PUT THE PUMP IN AND START FILLING AND IT SPITS THE GAS BACK OUT.
FRONT DIFFERENTIAL HAS AXLE POPPED OUT, AFTER RESEARCHING I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM THAT NISSAN HAS REDESIGNED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. I HAVE TWO OPTIONS, FIRST TO TAKE TO A SHOP AND HAVE THEM REPLACE THE C CLIP ONLY TO FAIL AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD OR SECOND TO REPLACE THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL WITH THE FLAWED DESIGN FOR OVER $2500. WOULD LIKE TO SEE NISSAN ISSUE A RECALL TO CORRECT THE FLAWED DESIGN. THIS TRUCK IS USED ON ROAD ONLY AND I ONLY ENGAGE THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WHEN IT SNOWS AND ONLY USE AT LOW SPEEDS FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.
I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK ON A MAIN ROAD AND STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE MY TRUCK WAS BARELY MOVING, UNLESS I PUT THE PEDAL TO THE GROUND. THE TRUCK WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND AFTER LOOKING INTO IT, THE CODES P1757 AND P1759 CAME UP FOR THE FRONT BREAK SOLENOID VALVE AND AFTER EXAMINING THE TCM, I NOTICED THE PIN SNAPPED FOR THE FRONT BREAK SOLENOID, HENCE MAKING THE TRUCK GO INTO LIMP MODE. I RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM AND NOTICED THAT MULTIPLE 2005 NISSAN TITANS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OF THIS PIN SNAPPING CAUSING THE TRUCK TO GO INTO LIMP MODE BECAUSE THE SOLENOID RECEIVES NOW POWER. I WAS TURNING ONTO A MAIN ROAD WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 35 SO I ACCELERATED THINKING IT WOULD DO SO NORMAL AND MAKE IT BEFORE AN ONCOMING CAR WAS COMING, WHEN THE TRUCK WAS SLOWLY MOVING IN FRONT OF THE INCOMING CAR, I HAD TO QUICKLY PUT THE TRUCK INTO REVERSE TO AVOID THE ON COMING CAR BECAUSE I WAS EXCEPTING TO MAKE THE TURN BEFORE THE CAR WOULD COME BUT THE TRUCK GOING INTO LIMP MODE CAUSE THE TRUCK TO TAKE MUCH LONGER TO BARELY MAKE THAT TURN. I WAS LUCKY TO REVERSE QUICK ENOUGH FOR I DO NOT KNOW IF THE INCOMING CAR WOULD HAVE STOPPED OR SLOWED DOWN IN TIME.
MY TITAN STALLS WHILE DRIVING, A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION! REPLACED THE RECALLED ECM RELAY, THAT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, THEN THE SAME ISSUE. FROM EVERYTHING I HAVE RESEARCHED, THE IPDM IS ALSO A CULPRIT BUT NISSAN WON'T RECALL/REPLACE THESE.
DASHBOARD LIGHT SHOWS AIR BAG ISSUE. HARNASS WAS REPLACED TWICE UNDER WARRANTY, THEY NOW WANT $800. TO FIX. AS ITS BEEN A SAFETY ISSUE AND FIXED TWICE I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS.
THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE HAS FAILED FOUR TIMES ON THIS VEHICLE. WHEN FAILURE OCCURS THE VEHICLE WILL STALL, NOT CRANK,AND RUNS ROUGH. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC MANY TIMES WITH THESE FAILURES. THIS CREATES A HAZARDOUS SITUATION. I NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS FAILURE IS GOING TO OCCUR. THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING CAUSING THESE PREMATURE FAILURES OF THIS MODULE.
EXAUST FLANGE AFTER MUFFLER RUSTED AND BROKE WITH TAIL PIPE FACING UPWARD. HOT EXAUST AIR IS THEN TRAPPED IN WHEEL WELL CAUSING DAMAGE TO ABS CABLES AND OTHER ELECTRONICS IN CHASSIS WIRING.
I OWN A 2005 NISSAN TITAN PICKUP WHICH I DRIVE MAINLY IN THE WINTER DUE TO MY JOB REQUIRING ME TO GO INTO WORK IN EVERY SNOW STORM. I HAVE ONLY 128,000 MI ON MY TRUCK. THE TRUCK SITS IN THE SUMMER TO SAVE ON GAS. AFTER THE TRUCK SAT FOR THREE MONTHS THIS SUMMER HAD TO CHANGE A LEAKY OIL PAN FROM RUST. ONCE THAT WAS FIXED I TOOK IT OUT TO READY IT FOR INSPECTION. WHILE DRIVING CAME TO A STOP SIGN BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR. TRIED PUMPING PEDAL AND HAD NO BRAKES AT ALL. ENGAGED THE E BRAKE AND HAD VERY LITTLE YET NEXT TO NO STOPPING FROM THAT. ENDED UP CONSTANTLY PUMPING BRAKES WITH NO SECONDARY CIRCUIT ENGAGING. I CONTINUED TO GO THROUGH 2 MORE STOP SIGNS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. LUCKILY IT WAS LATER AT NIGHT AND THERE WASN'T MANY CARS ON THE ROAD OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A BAD ACCIDENT. AFTER GETTING THE TRUCK TOWED HOME I HAD PULLED THE LEFT FRONT INNER FENDER LINER OUT TO DISCOVER 2 JUNCTION BLOCKS WITH 3 LINES COMING IN AND GOING OUT. ALL THREE LINES HAD BURST AT THE SAME TIME CAUSING ME TO LOOSE ALL BRAKES. I TOOK A PICTURE OF THIS SO EVERYONE CAN SEE. NISSAN SHOULD PROVIDE AN EXTRA COVERING OR SOMETHING TO KEEP THE ROAD SALT FROM GETTING TO THESE LINES BECAUSE AS THESE TRUCKS GET OLDER I AM SURE PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING AS ME BUT, MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY TO AVOID A BAD CRASH.
MICHELIN LTX M/S2 P265/70R18 TIRES, 70000 MILE WARRANTY, PROPERLY INFLATED (TIRE SENSORS) AND ROTATED, EVEN WEAR AT ABOUT HALF WEAR LIFE(BASED ON UNROTATED SPARE). 38,561 MILES ON TIRES. REAR PASSENGER TIRE FAILURE (CRACK BETWEEN TREAD) AT APPROX 30 MPH. UNREPAIRABLE DUE TO TREAD CRACKING. UPON INSPECTION, ALL TIRES EXCEPT SPARE HAVE SIDEWALL CRACKING ADJACENT TO RIM, LONGITUDINAL CRACK AT INSIDE OF EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR TREAD, AND CRACKING SLITS SIM TO FAILURE INTERMITTENTLY BETWEEN TREADS. TIRE SHOP RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT AND CALLED IT SEVERE WEATHER CHECKING. THE COMBINATION OF LOW MILES AND MINIMAL TREAD WEAR MAKES THIS PREMATURE FAILURE A SAFETY RISK. REPORTED TO MICHELIN AND THEY BLAMED IT ON AGE. THE TIRES ARE UNDER SEVEN YEARS OLD.
I NOTICED OIL IN MY DRIVEWAY. HOWEVER, I WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE SOURCE INITIALLY. THE LAST INCIDENT I RETURNED HOME FROM WORK. AS I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE, I NOTICED MORE OIL ON THE GROUND. I STARTED LOOKING UNDER MY TRUCK AGAIN. THIS TIME I FOUND EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL ON THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE. I TOOK MY 2005 NISSAN TITAN TO THE REPAIR SHOP. UPON COMPLETION OF THEIR INSPECTION, I WAS GIVEN A COPY OF NISSAN'S SERVICE BULLETIN REFERENCE #NTB10-032 2004 - 2008 TITAN, REAR AXLE SEAL LEAKS. THEIR LISTED REQUIRED ACTION IS TO "INSTALL THE NEW AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLY---WHICH INCLUDES A NEW RETAINER, AXLE BEARING, OIL SEAL, BEARING CAGE, AND ABS ROTOR---LISTED IN THE PARTS INFORMATION TABLE". IMMEDIATELY BELOW ACTION IS A NOTE WHICH STATES "DO NOT REPLACE THE ENTIRE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY FOR THIS INCIDENT, IF IT SHOULD OCCUR". I CONTACTED NHTSA WHO THEN REFERRED ME TO NISSAN @ 800-647-7261. ONCE IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN, THE REPRESENTATIVE ASKED FOR THE LAST SIX NUMBERS OF THE VIN, PLACED ME ON HOLD, AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES SHE CAME BACK AND REFERRED ME TO MY INITIAL POINT OF CONTACT. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL, NOT JUST A SERVICE BULLETIN. IT WOULD BE VERY TRAGIC TO HEAR OF A FATALITY AS A RESULT OF A FAULTY PRODUCT. READING THE MANY REVIEWS FROM TITAN OWNERS IT IS EVIDENT THE PART IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH.
