THE AIR CONDTIONING DOOR ACTUATORS COMMONLY GO OUT CAUSING THE SYSTEM TO NOT BE ABLE TO PERFORM THE DUTY OF DEFROSTING THE WINDSHIELD. EFFECTED ACTUATORS ARE BOTH THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND AIR FLOW CONTROL. THE PROBLEM HAS EFFECTED ALL NISSAN TITANS 2004-2015 HOWEVER A RECALL HAS ONLY BEEN ISSUED TO 2009 YEAR AND NEWER TITANS.
I TOOK MY TRUCK TO YOUNGBLOOD NISSAN IN SPRINGFIELD AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CANT FIXED MY RECALL BECAUSE OF THE LINES WERE RUSTED SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND IS GOING TO CHARGE ME 1200.00 BUT THE RECALL SHOULD COVERIT
I WAS LOOKING ON THIS WEBSITE AND SEEN 6 RECALLS FOR THE 2005 NISSAN TITAN WHICH I HAVE AND AND NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE WIRE HARNESS ON THE DRIVERSIDE REAR DOOR. WELL ALL THOSE WIRES ARE BROKEN OFF NO MUSIC FROM THE REAR SPEAKERS ON EITHER SIDE. I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WERE I TRY TO ACCELERATE AND THE TRUCK BARELY WANTS TO MOVE AND SOMETIMES TAKES LONG TO FINALLY START. WHEN YOUR IDLING IT SOUNDS AS IF IT'S GOING TO BREAK DOWN. WHEN THE A.C. IS ON IT MAKES A VERY LOUD ANNOYING SOUND. I'VE ADDED PICS OF WHAT I FOUND ON YOUR WEBSITE AS I'VE INCLUDED A PIC OF THE FRAYED WIRES FROM THE HARNESS AND NISSAN OF MELBOURNE ISN'T TRYING TO FIX THIS BEING A RECALLED PART.
I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS AND ITS GETTING WORSE FUEL TANK IS HARD TO FILL AND MAKES A WHISTLING SOUND.
WHEN EXITING HIGHWAY ENGINE QUIT RUNNING. FUEL TANK SHOWED 1/4 TANK LEFT. HIGHWAY SUPPORT VEHICLE STOP TO HELP, GAVE ME SOME GAS, ABOUT 1 GALLON. STILL WOULD NOT START, HAD VEHICLE TOWED. PUT 2 MORE GALLONS OF FUEL IN TANK, VEHICLE STARTED. FOUND A NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V074000, FOR 2005-2009 TITAN'S FOR THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM, BUT FOR SOME REASON MY TITAN IS NOT COVERED EVEN THOUGH IT'S A 2005. I HAVE CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER AND NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO HELP. JUST ASKING WHY MY TITAN IS NOT COVERED? I HAVE UPLOADED A FILE OF THE CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER.
WHILE DRIVING ONE THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED MY VEHICLE START TO SHUTTER AND SHUT DOWN AS IF IT RAN OUT OF GAS. MY FUEL GAUGE SAID HALF A TANK SO I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS THE PROBLEM UNTIL I WALKED TO THE GAS STATION TO FILL UP A GAS CAN. I PUT 2 GALLONS OF GAS INTO MY FUEL TANK THAT SAID I HAD A HALF A TANK. I STARTED MY TRUCK AND IT STARTED. SINCE THAT INCIDENT IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES, THE MOST RECENT BEING YESTERDAY 07/02/18. I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP TODAY IN HOPES THAT IT FIXES THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 80 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FUEL GAUGE REFLECTED A QUARTER OF A TANK AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT CALLED A FAMILY MEMBER TO BRING SOME FUEL. AS SOON AS THE FUEL WAS ADDED, THE VEHICLE STARTED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THREE OTHER TIMES, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD START WHEN FUEL WAS ADDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 210,000.
I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS TWICE WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE GAS GAUGE STILL SHOWED OVER A QUARTER OF A TANK. BOTH TIMES I WAS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. I LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES.
DRIVING DOWN A BUSY ROAD ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK AND VEHICLE SPUTTERS AS IF OUT OF FUEL UNTIL IT DIED. COULD NOT GET TRUCK TO CRANK AND WAS CLEARLY A LACK OF FUEL. FUEL GAUGE READ 1/4 TANK FULL EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED IN CAMPAIGN 10V074000. FORTUNATRLY A POLICE OFFICER ASSISTED IN PUSHING MY TRUCK INTO A PARKING LOT. I CALLED A FAMILY MEMBER TO DRIVE UP WITH A GAS CONTAINER TO PUT A FEW GALLONS IN. SURE ENOUGH, CRANKED RIGHT UP. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I CONTACTED NISSAN OF USA, MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CAMPAIGN AND BECAUSE OF THE AGE AND MILEAGE OF MY TRUCK I WOULD NOT RECEIVE ASSISTANCE IN THE REPAIR OF THIS MANUFACTURER DEFECT.
THE FUEL GAUGE SEEMS TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY AND AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ONLINE IT APPEARS THERE IS A RECALL AFFECTING MY TRUCK, CAMPAIGN ID # R1010 NHTSA 10V-074.
2005 NISSAN TITAN 121K MILES. CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLD CAUSING A EXHAUST LEAK. THERE IS A STRONG EXHAUST SMELL IN THE CAB WHEN TRAVELING AT SLOWER SPEEDS (UNDER 35MPH). IT HAS BEEN SO BAD AT TIMES IT MAKES YOU LIGHT HEADED AND SICK TO YOUR STOMACH. THIS COULD CAUSE SOMEONE TO PASS OUT WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THEM TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THEIR VEHICLE. DEFIANTLY A SAFETY HAZARD! ALSO CAUSING A DECREASE IN GAS MILEAGE AS WELL AS A LOUD KNOCKING/PUFFING NOISE UPON ACCELERATION. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FINDING 100'S IF NOT 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS! WHY HAS THIS NEVER BEEN RECALLED? THE SAFETY ISSUE ALONE SHOULD WARRANT A RECALL, ITS OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY COMPONENT!
I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WILL READ NO LOWER THAN A QUARTER OF A TANK. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE RECALL #10V074000. THAT RECALL IS FOR 2005 NISSAN TITANS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. THEY HOWEVER DENY THE CLAIM BECAUSE IT DOESN'T INCLUDE MY VIN NUMBER. I FEEL THAT THIS VIN NUMBER SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL AS WELL.
GAS GAUGE WILL ONLY READ DOWN TO A 1/4 TANK LEVEL. THIS CAUSES ERRORS IN DETERMINING HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. I HAVE RUN OUT OF FUEL IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHICH IS DANGEROUS AND COULD CREATE CAUSE FOR COLLISION. THIS MALFUNCTION NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED/
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HWY AND MY ENGINE SHUT DOWN. I MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER, PUT IT IN PARK TURN THE KEY OFF THEN STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. STARTED YESTERDAY, AND DOES IT ABOUT EVERY TEN MILES. STARTS RIGHT BACK UP EVERY TIME. SOUNDS LIKE THE IPDM BUT FENTON NISSAN IN LEES SUMMIT MISSOURI SAID MY TRUCKS NOT RECALLED. PLEASE HELP! NO SPIT AND SPUTTER, IT JUST DIES OUT OF NO WHERE. IT ALMOST CAUSED A REAR END COLLISION WHILE PULLIN ON INTERSTATE. THIS RELAY PROBLEM IS VERY UNSAFE. PLEASE HELP!

THE AXLE SHAFT ON THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CAME OUT CAUSING FAILURE TO THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING AND RESTARTED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN TITAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONTAL SEAT BELTS MAY NOT OPERATE AS INTENDED IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BELTS MAY RETRACT ABNORMALLY AND CAUSE EXTREME TIGHTNESS. THE CONTACT WAS REPAIRING THE VEHICLE HIMSELF. THE CONTACT LOCATED THE WIRING HARNESS ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR AND DISCOVERED THAT IT DID NOT HAVE A PROTECTIVE SHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,447.
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER 2005 TITAN LE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED A BRAKING ISSUE 8-10 TIMES. WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON THE FREEWAY TRAFFIC BEGINS TO SLOW, I APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE ENTIRE TRUCK BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHUTTER, THE RED BRAKE ICON ON THE DASH CAME ON, AND THE BRAKE PEDDLE WENT ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I HAD TO PULL TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE HARDER YOU PUSH THE MORE THE BRAKES SEEM TO FAIL AND THE TRUCK SHAKES HARDER. THE ONLY THING THAT FIXES THE ISSUE IS TO STOP THE TRUCK AND TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT. EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL AS IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 8-10 TIMES SINCE OWNING THIS TRUCK AS NEW. I HAVE READ MANY INCIDENTS ONLINE IN BLOGS ETC.THAT ARE ALMOST EXACTLY AS I HAVE DESCRIBED. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. I WHOLE HEARTILY DISAGREE WITH THEM. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT IS ULTIMATELY GOING TO CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AT FREEWAY SPEEDS, NORMAL RESIDENTIAL SPEEDS (25MPH) AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN. LAST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON 11/8/2017.
DRIVER/ PASSENGER SIDE EXHAUST MAINIFOLDS CRACKING EVERY 20,000 MILES CAUSING EXHAUST LEAKS IN CAB OF TRUCK..
TAKATA RECALL .A RECALL HAS BEEN NOTED FFOR THIS MATTER. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE DEALER THE DAY AFTER I FOUND OUT THROUGH MEDIA. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THEY COULD NOT COMPLETE THE RECALL DUE TO A SYSTEM ISSUE WITH MY TRUCK NOT ALLOWING THE UPLOAD OF DATA. THE DEALER STATED TO COMPLETE THE RECALL I WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE A $900 UNIT TO ALLOW MY TRUCK TO UPLOAD THE DATA REQUIRED. I AM FURIOUS THAT DUE TO A RECALL, I NEED TO PAY $900 TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS. THERE ARE NO AFTERMARKET PARTS ON MY TRUCK SO EVERYTHING IS FACTORY ISSUED.
I HAVE BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT REAR AXLE SEALS REQUIRING REPLACEMENT DUE TO SEVERE LEAKING. DEALER ESTIMATE AT $600.00. I HAVE READ FORUMS REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND IT APPEARS TO BE JUST SHORT OF A RECALL? 2005 NISSAN TITAN 2WD WITH 84,000 MILES ON IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MELLOY NISSAN (LOCATED AT 7707 LOMAS BLVD NE, ALBUQUERQUE, NM 87110) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE HIMSELF; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
MY NISSAN TITAN HAS ROUGHLY 31,000 MILES ON IT OVER THE LAST 12 YEARS . THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS CRACKED . I DID A SEARCH TO SEE IF THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THERE ARE TONS OF COMPLAINTS AND PICTURES ON THE INTERNET SO I WAS AMAZED TO SEE THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS . MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF UNDER THE 8 YEAR 80,000 MILE EMISSIONS WARRANTY . THE ONLY PROBLEM IS MANY PEOPLE ( INCLUDING MYSELF ) ARE PAST THE 8 YEARS EVEN THOUGH WAY UNDER THE MILEAGE . MY TRUCK IS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW INSIDE AND OUT AND HAS BEEN SPARINGLY USED AND STILL NOW I HAVE HARMFUL EXHAUST FUMES LEAKING OUT AND THE TRUCK IS ROBBED OF POWER .

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED A FRACTURE WITHIN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD/PIPES, WHICH LEAKED FUMES BACK INTO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 189,963.
MY FUEL GAUGE STOPS DROPPING ONCE IT GETS BETWEEN 1/2 AND 1/4 TANK OF GAS. I ALL WAYS CHECK MY AND RESET MY TRIP ODOMETER AND KNOW WHEN I NEED TO REFUEL BUT MY FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT MATCH WHAT MY TRIP ODOMETER IS READING. I WENT ONLINE AND CHECKED TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL ON 340,000 2005 TITANS BUT NOT FOR MINE. NOT SURE WHY SOME 2005 TITANS ARE IN THE RECALL BUT NOT ALL EVEN THOUGH MANY MORE HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. SEEMS TO ME A SAFETY RECALL SHOULD BE FOR ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES AND NOT JUST SOME. MINE AND MY FAMILIES SAFETY SHOULD BE JUST AS IMPORTANT TO NSSAN.
ON THE KING CAB REAR DOORS THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE AIR BAG BREAK DUE TO THE MANUFACTURE DESIGN OF PLACING COOPER WIRING IN A PLACE THAT FREQUENTLY BENDS. AS A RESULT THE WIRE COME APART AND CAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO REGISTER A FAULT WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM.
I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AT WORK WHEN I HEARD THE FIRST CLUNK. THEN LATER ON THAT DAY I WAS TURNING TO THE LEFT IT CLUMPED AGAIN NOW WHEN GOING STAIGHT IT CLUNK HAD AND THEN I DRAINED THE OIL AND GAS METAL TEETH FROM THE SPIDER GEAR WAS IN THE OIL. IT ALL STARTED WHEN I WAS MOVING AT 10MPH OR LES.
I WAS DRIVING AND MADE A TURN FROM ONE MAJOR STREET TO THE NEXT. I MERGED INTO THE MIDDLE LANE OF A 3 LANE ROAD AND MY TRUCK COMPLETELY LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME SQUEALED ITS TIRES TO AVOID RUNNING INTO THE BACK OF ME. I LET THE TRUCK CONTINUE TO MOVE WITHOUT APPLYING BRAKES OR I WOULD HAVE ENDED UP STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A 3 LANE BUSY ROAD. THE TRUCK WOULDN'T EVEN TURN INTO THE VERY RIGHT LAND WITHOUT ME TURNING THE WHEEL HARD. I PULLED OFF ONTO A SIDE STREET AND CALLED AAA. THE VEHICLE REGISTER AT A 1/4 OF A TANK OF GAS. THE AAA DRIVER ADDED $2 WORTH OF GAS TO THE TANK BUT IT DID NOT START. I WAS TOWED TO A AAA APPROVED SHOP ABOUT 2 MILES AWAY AND WHEN THE SHOP OWNER WENT TO TAKE THE TRUCK OFF THE TOW BED IT STARTED RIGHT UP. THE OWNER SAID THAT IT WAS JUST OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH THE GAUGE READ A 1/4 OF A TANK. I WENT DIRECTLY TO A GAS STATION AND IT TOOK 25.695 GALLONS OF GAS. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2005 NISSAN TITANS BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT PULLING IT UP. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V074000 INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAUGE.
Clock spring in steering column is faulty. Air bags do not work. This is very common among Nissan titan owners.
THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AXLE KEEPS FALLING OUT OF THE TRANSFER CASE. I BELIEVE DUE TO A C-CLIP FAILURE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE TRUCK IS IN MOTION AND THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE INACCURATELY DISPLAYED THAT THERE WAS FUEL IN THE VEHICLE (TYPICALLY ABOUT A QUARTER OF A TANK) WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS ACTUALLY EMPTY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
ON FEBRUARY 25, 2017 MY SON WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND HIS 2005 NISSAN TITAN TRUCK COMPLETELY DIED, LOST ALL POWER STEERING, BRAKES, EVERYTHING. MY SON WAS ABLE TO GET THE TRUCK OFF THE BUSY ROAD WITHOUT GETTING REAR ENDED, WHICH WAS HARD TO DO FOR A 20 YEAR OLD. ONCE WE HAD THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED, WE WERE TOLD IT WAS A FAULTY FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT. THE VEHICLE SHOWED OVER 1/4 OF A TANK OF GAS, BUT IN FACT, IT WAS EMPTY. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH, I FOUND OTHER 2005 NISSAN TITAN'S WERE RECALLED WITH THIS SAME ISSUE, HOWEVER, NISSAN TOLD ME, THAT MY VIN WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL. THIS CONCERNS ME BECAUSE MY SON COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED FROM THE TRUCK DYING AS HE WAS GOING 50 MPH DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE TRIED TO SPEAK WITH NISSAN, ASKING THEM TO LOOK INTO MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE, SINCE THERE IS A PAST HISTORY OF THIS PART FAILING ON OTHER TITANS. AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS, ALL THEY WILL TELL ME IS, IT ISN'T THEIR FAULT, THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND RECALL DOESN'T INVOLVE MY VIN. I AGAIN ASKED THEM TO CONSIDER EXPANDING THE RECALL TO INCLUDE MY VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD NO. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP TO GET THIS FIXED, BUT IT'S A SHAME THAT NISSAN WON'T EVEN CONSIDER LOOKING INTO THIS WHEN THEY KNOW IT'S AN ISSUE WITH OTHER TITANS. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD CRACKED AT LESS THAN 85000 MILES
COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE DUE TO FAULTY RADIATOR DESIGN. COOLANT MIXED WITH ATF, FROM INTERNAL TRANSFER COOLER LEAK.
CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. NISSAN HAS A POOR DESIGN AND I HAVE CHECKED ON LINE AND 100'S OF OTHERS HAVE COMMENTED ABOUT THE CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. THESE ARE A SAFETY CONCERN AS I CAN SMELL THE EXHAUST GAS AROUND THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK, INSTEAD OF IT BEING PROPERLY TRANSFERRED OUT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AS DESIGNED. NISSAN IS NOT SUPPORTING THE REQUIRED REPLACEMENT WHICH SHOULD BE FREE. THE REPAIR COST ARE IN THE THOUSANDS NOT ACCEPTABLE WHEN IT IS NISSAN POOR DESIGN ALL ALL TRUCKS WITH THESE MANIFOLDS ARE AFFECTED.
REAR AXLE SEAL LEAKS IN THIS MODEL IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM YET NISSAN STILL CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ,IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE IT LEAKS FLUID CONTINUOUSLY ON TO THE BACK BREAKING SYSTEM SO NOT ONLY COULD IT COMPRISE YOUR WHOLE BACK END BUT ALSO YOUR ABILITY TO STOP YOUR VEHICLE SAFELY,THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED THOUSANDS OF TIMES TO YOUR AGENCY IN THE MEANTIME THE CONSUMERS CONTINUE TO REPLACE THESE EVERY 30-40,000 MILES JUST TO MAINTAIN THEIR SAFETY AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD WHEN I FEEL IT IS TIME NISSAN ADDRESS THIS AND TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO ENSURE THE BRAKING SYSTEM IN THESE VEHICLES IS NOT CREATING A POTENTIAL HAZARD TOP THE DRIVER OR OTHERS ON THE ROAD . I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE YESTERDAY ONLY TO FIND OUT MY SEAL IS LEAKING AGAIN AND NOW MY BACK BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE NO LONGER SAFE DUE TO THE OIL LEAKING ON THEM AGAIN FROM THIS SEAL I DRIVE MY CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE DAILY TO SCHOOL TO GAMES AND IM THANKFUL THAT I HAPPENED TO NEED AN OIL CHANGE OR I WOULD HAVE HAD NO IDEA IT WAS LEAKING AGAIN OR JUST HOW UNSAFE MY DRIVING THIS VEHICLE COULD POTENTIALLY BE FOR MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF OR ANYBODY THAT IS DRIVING NEAR ME WHEN IT REQUIRES BRAKING TO STOP .
THE BRAKES FAILED DUE TO A PIN HOLE IN THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE LINE. THERE ARE THREE FITTINGS THAT ARE IN THE SAME LOCATION ON THE TRUCK. ALL THREE SHOWED SIGNS OF CORROSION. THE ONE THAT FAILED LOOKS LIKE IT HAD BEEN DAMAGED ON INSTALLATION. THIS TRUCK IS OVER 11 YEARS OLD AND HAS SPENT MOST OF THE TIME OUTSIDE. IT HAS BEEN LOCATED IN SOUTH FLORIDA THE ENTIRE TIME SO HAS NOT SEEN ANY SALT. ALL THE OTHER FITTINGS AND LINES LOOK FINE. YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURE THE FLAT SPOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOLE. THERE HAS BEEN NO WORK DONE ON THIS LINE SINCE THE TRUCK WAS NEW. (I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER) I HAVE THE FAILED LINE. I REPAIRED IT MYSELF WITH PARTS FROM THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITH THE TRUCK ON MY PROPERTY AND THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT INVOLVED. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO OF THE HOLE IN THE LINE. THIS LINE COMES FROM THE ABS UNIT TO A FITTING CLOSE TO THE FRONT WHEEL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WAS LEAKING FUMES IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT READ CORRECTLY BELOW APPROXIMATELY A QUARTER TANK. IT OCCASIONALLY WILL STICK AND FLUCTUATE BUT ALWAYS AROUND A QUARTER TANK AND BELOW. THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED THE PROBLEM I HAD TO HAVE MY TRUCK TOWED HOME, THINKING IT WAS SOMETHING MAJOR WHEN ALL I DID WAS RUN OUT OF GAS.

I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A RECALL ON 2005 THRU 2016 NISSAN TITANS FOR A FALTY GAS GAUGE BUT WAS TOLD THAT MY MODEL WAS NOT INCLUDED, I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS WITH MY GAUGE SHOWING A 1/4 TANK OF FUEL UP TO ALMOST A 1/2 ON MY GAUGE BUT STILL RAN OUT OF FUEL, I TOOK MY TRUCK TO KEY WEST, FL. AND THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT AND IT COST ME OVER $700 TO HAVE IT REPLACED. NOW MY GAS GAUGE IS OFF EVEN MORE THAN BEFORE
NISSAN PREVIOUSLY ISSUED A RECALL DEALING WITH THE WIRING HARNESS ISSUE, #06V459000 TO REROUTE AND CHANGE THE WIRING COVER. THIS AFFECTS THE AIRBAGS AND THE OPERATION OF THE SEAT BELTS, AS WELL AS THE AUDIO SYSTEM. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING AND THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR SPEAKER DOESN'T WORK. THE RECALL WAS JUST A TEMPORARY COVER UP OF THE PROBLEM. THE ISSUE CAME UP AGAIN AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT, WANTING TO CHARGE UPWARDS OF $1000 TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESSS, A PROBLEM THEY ARE ALREADY AWARE OF. THE RECALL DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, ONLY A TEMPORARY COVER-UP.
FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM RECALL FOR 2005 NISSAN TITAN - NISSAN CLEARLY HAS A RECALL FOR THE 2005 NISSAN TITAN FUEL GAUGE THAT IS NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY. UPON CONTACTING NISSAN, THEY HAVE SAID THE VIN I PROVIDED IS NOT AFFECTED WHICH IS RIDICULOUS AS MY 2005 NISSAN HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE 340,000 TRUCKS THAT ARE AFFECTED. NISSAN HAS CLEARLY NOT INCLUDED ALL VIN'S THAT ARE AFFECTED. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM AS THERE IS NOT INDICATION OF HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE VEHICLE SINCE THE GAUGE WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. IF THE VEHICLE QUITS ON A HWY DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, NISSAN SHOULD BE COMPLETELY LIABLE FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE, INJURIES THAT THIS MAY CAUSE ON AN OPEN HIGHWAY. *TR
FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS TWICE WHILE THE FULE GAUGE WOULD BE AT HALF.
LOST POWER TO VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING, POWER STEERING, BRAKES, ETC. NARROWLY AVOIDED ACCIDENT. GAS GAUGE INDICATED A QUARTER TANK OF GAS WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY EMPTY. CONTACTED NISSAN, THEY SAID THERE WAS RECALL FOR THIS FOR THE YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, BUT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V074000 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE CONTACT CALLED NISSAN OF BAKERSFIELD (2800 PACHECO RD, BAKERSFIELD, CA 93313, (661) 835-8600) AND THE MANUFACTURER AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.
I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN TITAN WITH 31,000 MILES ON IT AND IT JUST FAILED A VEHICLE INSPECTION, BECAUSE THE FRAME WAS RUSTED THROUGH IN FRONT OF THE REAR WHEELS. I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE 10 YEARS AND 6 MONTHS AND THIS SEEMS VERY PREMATURE TO HAVE HAPPEN. OTHERWISE THE BODY LOOKS BRAND NEW.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WOULD ATTEMPT TO WELD THE MANIFOLD. IF NOT, THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
