While driving down the road a pot hole was hit and the center cap of steering wheel split as if airbag should have deployed.
The exhaust manifolds on the driver and passenger side are cracked. Ticking sounds are made while car is cold and goes away after they have heated up enough, typically after 5 minutes. This results in letting in exhaust fumes inside the cabin, regardless of the air conditioner/heater is on, which leads to being lightheaded and nearly passing out and crashing. The fumes are stronger when stationary but happens no matter what, even after the ticking is gone and driving down the highway.
Passenger side window has came off track and fell into door panel. There is no way to open door to get to window to put back on track to raise window
There is an issue with the fuel gauge. Not reading correctly and running out of gas. Needle is at half tank and it has run out of fuel. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times. Gage reads more than I physically have. I’ve even ran out of fuel on the freeway.
I am writing in regards to a recall that has previously been serviced on my vehicle. I bought my 2008 Nissan Titan through a private party on 4/16/23. The truck had no issues until 4/20/23. The fuel gauge read that I had a quarter tank of gas. However I was driving to work that morning and all of a sudden the truck acted as if it would when one runs out of fuel. I was not able to use the breaks and the steering was near impossible. I was frightened as I had my baby in the truck with me and I easily could have caused an accident not being able to use my breaks especially. Once I got to the side of the road and we stopped "coasting" I called for help. I did have an individual bring me some gas just incase that could have been the issue. Sure enough once I put fuel in it the truck started up and I got to the closet gas station to fuel up. Come to find out once my gas gauge reads a quarter tank it is in fact empty. The truck had a recall serviced on 4/16/2010 to replace the fuel gauge sending unit. I took the truck in to be serviced on 4/24/23 because of the issue I experienced. I was told that it was more than likely the sending unit and it would cost me $600-$800 to have it fixed. Why should I have to pay for a cost that has already been serviced once? Is there a warranty on a recall that has already been serviced? Can this possibly be a defect in the recall that was already serviced?

The exaust manifolds cracked and is letting fumes into the cabin. I bought the truck about 2 weeks ago from a private dealer. The cracked manifolds began to leak a few days ago and I truthfully believe it should be covered by Nissan
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Titan. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle emitted abnormal ticking sounds. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an exhaust specialist where it was diagnosed that the weld joint between the tube and the common mounting plate of the manifold was cracked, allowing the exhaust gas to escape and expand underneath the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
In a low speed wreck (15mph or less) the air bag deployed sending the metal clip, holding the plastic Nissan emblem at the center of the steering wheel, flying. Hitting me right next to my eye at a very high rate of speed. Causing trauma to my eye and surrounding tissue. Missing my eye by less than an inch. If I would have been looking straight ahead instead of slightly to the right where the collision was, I would have lost my eye. How did this manufacturer allowed a piece of metal be installed in front of the air bag is mind boggling. Air bags deploy at speeds of 200mph, launching anything in front of them at that speed. I was very lucky, I hope this agency can warn everyone who owns a Nissan vehicle with this design of a metal clip holding the emblem at the center of the steering wheel. I have photos of the emblem, clip, steering wheel, air bag, and my injury showing exactly how/where the clip hit me by the cuts it left on my face in the shape of the clip. The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the fuel gauge inaccurately displayed the fuel level as empty. The contact had to constantly refuel the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V074000 (Fuel System, Other) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 186,000.
I’ve done replaced the wheel hub assembly and break and rotors etc. My truck still acts like it’s trying to lock up . It’s jerking and takes a min to break
WHITE PATCHES APPEARED ALL AROUND THE TRUCK WITHIN A WEEK PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. SPOTS AND PATCHES ON HOOD,FENDERS, ROOF, TAILGATE AND DOORS

2008 NISSAN TITAN, THE AIRBAG RED AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STARTED TO ILLUMINATE ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE CRASH ZONE SENSOR P/N 98581-ZT08A WAS DEFECTIVE DO TO CORROSION AND DEFECTIVE SEALING OF THE INTERNAL ELECTRONICS OF THE SENSOR (SEE ATTACHMENT). TO ABRUPTLY LOOSE THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAG FUNCTION IS A SAFETY HAZARD (ON THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT WARNING) AND SHOULD BE RECALLED.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
THE BRAKE LIGHTS SIGNAL TURNS ON AND A LIGHT GRINDING NOISE CAN BE HEARD AND BRAKES GO OUT. I HAVE TO STOP FOR A FEW MINUTES AND TURN OFF MY TRUCK. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, I TURN ON THE TRUCK AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURNS OFF AND MY BRAKES START WORKING AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN TWICE. THANK GOD THAT THE TIMES IT HAS HAPPEN THERE HAS BEEN HARDLY ANY TRAFFIC. ALTHOUGH, ONE DAY IT HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY SO I CALMED DOWN, RELEASE THE GAS PEDAL AND CRUISED TO THE NEXT EXIT AND PULLED INTO A GAS STATION. ALL THIS TIME THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR IS FULL SO AFTER TURNING OFF THE TRUCK AND TURNING IT BACK ON AGAIN, THAT SOLVES THE PROBLEM. THIS IS VERY SCARY BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO TAKE VACATIONS ON THE TRUCK AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT LIKE THIS, ESPECIALLY WITH MY THREE KIDS IN THE BACK. ANOTHER ISSUE THAT I HAVE IS THE AIRBAG LIGHT JUST STAYS ON AND FLASHING. I'VE TRIED HAVING IT RESET BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. WE HAVE A 2007 NISSAN ARMADA ALSO AND IT HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS MY TITAN. WE THOUGHT THAT BY BUYING NISSAN WE WOULDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES, BUT WE WERE WRONG.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V690000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
HEATHER &A/C CONTROL MALFUNCTION HEATHER CORE LEAKS INSIDE CAB POWER TRAIN WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON NOT ALL TIME PAINT CLEAR COAT IS PELEN OFF
HOSE CAME LOOSE FROM TRANSMISSION DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AND LEFT ME SIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I HAD NO WARNING AND I LOST ALL TRANSMISSION FLUID.. I REATTATCHED THE HOSE ADDED THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FLUID. DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 4 DAY EVERYTHING WAS FINE TRY TO GO RO WORK THERE IS NO 4TH GEAR.. TAKE IT TO SHOPS RO FIND OUT ITS GONNA COST ME 4500.00 FOR NEW TRANSMISSION CAPACITOR AND NEW RADIATOR.. THE ANTI FREEZE LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING THE INSIDE OF TRANNY TO BE DEATROYED
WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY THE REAR CONSOLE WHICH CONTAINS THE REAR INTERIOR LIGHTS FELL DOWN. NOW THE FRONT OVERHEAD CONSOLE IS FALLING , NOT FALLEN ALL THE WAY, BUT RIGHT SIDE IS ALREADY LOSE. IT WILL NOT BE LONG THAT THE FRONT WILL FALL , WHEN IT DOES I HOPE IT IS STATIONARY SO THAT MY WIFE, DAUGHTER OR MYSELF WHO EVER IS DRIVING WILL NOT BE HIT BY THE FALLING CONSOLE AND POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT HARMING MY OTHER DAUGHTER AND SON, OR ANYONE ELSE THAT COULD BE IN HARMS WAY, AS A RESULT OF THIS POOR QUALITY PLASTIC USED MAKING THESE CONSOLES. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSANUSA ABOUT THIS AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS THEY ' UNFORTUNATELY THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING DUE TO THE VEHICLES MILEAGE ' I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND HAVE TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF IT. I HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS FAULTY PLASTIC. WHEN THE FRONT CONSOLE FALLS IT WILL LEAVE MY WIFE , DAUGHTER AND MYSELF IN THE DARK, WITH NO INTERIOR LIGHTING!!!
MANIFOLD EXHAUST CRACK ON BOTH SIDES.

NISSAN OF QUEENS (93-25 ROCKAWAY BLVD, OZONE PARK, NY 11416) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 77,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
THE TITAN WAS TRAVELING STRAIGHT ON CITY STREET AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE MAKING A LEFT TURN ACROSS INTERSECTION. IMPACT WAS AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND BOTH VEHICLES SUSTAINED HEAVY DAMAGE. DRIVER AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT THERE WAS WHITE SMOKE AND SMELL OF GUN POWDER INSIDE THE TRUCK JUST AFTER COLLISION. NO VISUAL SIGNS OF ANY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. NO OTHER VERIFICATION, BUT SEEMS POSSIBLE A CHARGE IGNITED BUT FAILED TO INFLATE A BAG OR OTHER FAILURE. STRAIGHT FRONT IMPACT AT 45 SEEMS LIKE PRIME PARAMETERS TO INFLATE BAG. THE BACK TWO DOOR LATCHES DO NOT OPEN UNTILLED JIGGLED OR CONTINUALLY VIBRATED. THIS WOULD NOT ALLOW THE DOORS TO BE OPENED IN THE EVENT OF A EMERGENCY. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO BE REPAIRED BUT TO NO AVAIL. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHILE TRYING TO OPEN DOORS. ITS THIS A SAFETY HAZARD SINCE THE OCCUPANTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE DURING A CRITICAL TIME?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GRAINGER NISSAN (1550 CHATHAM PKWY, SAVANNAH, GA 31408, (912) 480-6996) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MANIFOLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 167,000.
WHEN TURNING WITH THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE ENGAGED, A LOUD POP WAS HEARD LIKE SOMETHING SLAMMING AGAINST METAL. AND MY FRONT TIRES WOULD NOT SPIN CAUSING THE TRUCK TO GET STUCK, NEEDING TO BE TOWED OUT. A MECHANIC FIXED THE PROBLEM OF A SNAPPED/BROKEN FLANGE ASSEMBLY (PART # 38220-8S11A) ALSO CIRCLIP LOCK RING (PART # 38225-8S110). THE SAME PARTS BROKE A 2ND TIME REQUIRING REPAIR AND NOW A 3RD TIME. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I CANT AFFORD TO KEEP FIXING THE PROBLEM AND CANT AFFORD A NEW TRUCK PLEASE HELP US PLEASE!!!
WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR STOPPED WORKING. NOW WHEN THE ROAD CONDITIONS ARE BAD THE VISIBILITY IS DRASTICALLY LOWERED. THE MORE I RESEARCH THIS PROBLEM AND THE ONE WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER NOT SHUTTING OFF THE MORE I NOTICE THAT THESE ARE WIDE SPREAD AND VERY COMMON ISSUES.
PUCHASE FROM PRIVATE PARTY IN FEBRUARY, NISSAN RAN DIAGNOSTICS IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE. LEAK WAS NOT RECORDED. ACCIDENT HAPPENED IN JUNE, VEHICLE RETURNED IN SEPTEMBER, APPROXIMATELY A WEEK AFTER PICK UP, CODED LEAK IN EMULATION SYSTEM, MANIFOLD/EXHAUST CAUSING FUMES TO BACK UP INTO TRUCK WHILE STOPPED, EXTREME FUEL CONSUMPTION AND LACK OF POWER, CAUSING IDLE TO IDLE LOW AT STOP. THIS DEVELOPED AFTER A SIDESWIPED HIT ACCIDENT AND TRANSMISSION BEING REPLACED. LEFT AND RIGHT SENSOR ALSO CODED.
FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL FEELING "SPONGY" AND OCCASIONALLY GOING TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT ANY REDUCTION IN SPEED. THE BRAKE PEDAL PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE AND CULMINATED WHEN I WAS TRAVELLING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH AND TRIED TO SLOW DOWN DUE TO SLOWER TRAFFIC. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I HAD TO SWERVE INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC WHO KEPT IT FOR SEVERAL DAYS TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. HE REPLACED SEVERAL BRAKE COMPONENTS INCLUDING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS, MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE BOOSTER, AND THE ABS MODULE. HE THEN BLED THE BRAKE LINES MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET THE BRAKE PEDAL BACK TO ITS NORMAL RANGE. ALL OF THIS WORKED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND THEN THE PROBLEM RETURNED. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER ON JANUARY 31, 2018 AND HAD THE FOLLOWING DONE. THEY PERFORMED ANOTHER BRAKE FLUSH, CLEANED AND ADJUSTED THE REAR CALIPERS, AND CLEANED AND LUBRICATED THE SLIDES AND PAD CONTACTS. I PICKED THE TRUCK UP AND THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT LIKE NEW. IT HAS NOW BEEN A LITTLE OVER THREE MONTHS AND THE BRAKE PEDAL IS GRADUALLY FALLING TOWARDS THE FLOOR DURING BRAKING, SIMILAR TO PAST EXPERIENCE. BRAKING DISTANCES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION HAVE INCREASED AND THE BRAKING POWER DOESN'T SEEM TO BE THERE ANYMORE.
DRIVING 55MPH AND TRANSMISSION SLIPS ALL OF A SUDDEN. NO WARNING LIGHTS - NOTHING. NEXT SMOKE ROLLS OUT UNDER HOOD - PULL OFF ROAD/STOP. LOOK UNDER VEHICLE AND IT'S COVERED WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID. TOWED TO DEALER FOR REPAIR - SAID TRANSMISSION IS SHOT. $5000 TO REPLACE. VEHICLE HAS 85,000 MILES. HAD TRANSMISSION SERVICES LAST YEAR BY NISSAN DEALER. HEARING PROBLEM MAY BE BECAUSE OF RADIATOR. DEALER AND NISSAN HEADQUARTERS OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER.
THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON MY NISSAN TITAN CRACKED PRIOR TO REACHING 95K MILES. WITH THE CRACK, EXHAUST FUMES ARE MAKING THEIR WAY INTO THE AC SYSTEM CAUSING THE CAB OF MY TRUCK TO BECOME FILLED WITH CARBON DIOXIDE. I HAVE DONE ADAMANT RESEARCH AND DETERMINED THAT I CAN REPLACE THE MANIFOLD AT A LOCAL SHOP, BUT THAT ALMOST EVERY TITAN OWNER OUT THERE HAS EXPERIENCED CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED. TOM PEACOCK OF HOUSTON, TEXAS WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.
RELAY FUSES(BLACK) BLOWS OUT DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS MAINLY. EVERYTHING STOPS. IT GIVES A WARNING WHERE TRUCK MISSES OR JERKS. DASHBOARD GOES CRAZY. LIGHTS BLINK OFF AND ON. ONCE FUSES ARE REPLACED, IT HAS TO RESET BEFORE IT STARTS. IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS OF THESE ISSUES. REPLACED ENTIRE BOX, BUT IT DOES THE SAME THING. AT CANNON NISSAN, JACKSON, MS PARTS DEPT. WE WERE TOLD THEY SELL A LOT OF FUSES FOR THE SAME ISSUE.
PASSENGER EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAKING. MECHANIC STATED APPEARS TO BE CRACKED.
REAR DIFFERENTIAL COMPLETELY WENT OUT. STARTED OUT WITH A LOUD WHINING/GRINDING NOISE THEN A THUMP. HOPING IT WAS JUST A PINION SEAL - BUT NOPE. WHOLE DIFFERENTIAL HAS TO BE REPLACED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN TITAN. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BECAME VERY LOUD WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
TAKATA INFLATORS WHEN TURNING THE KEY IT MAKES A FAINT CLICK IT DOES NOT START BUT WHEN I TRY IT AGAIN THEN IT WILL START THE TRUCK IS STATIONARY.
STATIONARY IN A LEFT HAND TURN LANE OF A SIDE STREET OFF A STATE HIGHWAY, (PULLING A BOAT TRAILER). ONCOMING VEHICLE DRIFTED ACROSS CENTER LINE AND IMPACTED HEAD ON, OFF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HOOD TOWARDS THE DRIVERS SIDE OF MY VEHICLE. OTHER DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO SWERVE AT LAST SECOND, DID NOT APPEAR TO BRAKE. FORCE OF IMPACT MOVED OUR VEHICLE FROM STRAIGHT AHEAD APPROXIMATELY 6 FEET TO THE LEFT. STATE POLICE RESPONDED AND CHARGED OTHER DRIVER WITH DUI. QUERY FILED WITH NISSAN WHO RESPONDED THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND SEAT BELTS FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. PHOTOS OF THE ACCIDENT AND A DASH CAM VIDEO OF THE EVENT ARE AVAILABLE AND WERE PROVIDED TO NISSAN.

BOTH EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE CRACKED, NISSAN DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND WILL NOT REPLACE. AFTER RESEARCH ONLINE, MANY OTHER OWNERS EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEMS. ESTIMATED REPAIR COSTS ARE OVER $3,000
I PURCHASED MY 2008 NISSAN TITAN BRAND NEW IN 2008, SOMEWHERE AROUND 75000 MILES MY FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CAME APART, FORTUNATELY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED COVERED THE $5000.00 REPLACEMENT COST THAT NISSAN WANTED TO CHARGE. HERE I AM AT 138000 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY WITH THE SAME ISSUE. NISSAN IS NO HELP AT ALL, THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN USED MAINLY ON THE HIGHWAY, WITH MINIMAL USE TO THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM. I SERVICE EVERYTHING MYSELF USING ONLY WHAT NISSAN RECOMMENDS. IM NOT IMPRESSED WITH MY $40000 BOAT ANCHOR, IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER PURCHASE A NISSAN. THIS IS THE SECOND TITAN I HAVE OWNED, DIDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH MY 2004.
BRAKES HAVE A FADING BRAKE PEDAL, NISSAN SAYS THIS IS OK/NORMAL. I SAY THIS IS DANGEROUS. THE BRAKES WORK FINE UNLESS YOU ARE IN A PANIC SITUATION. WHEN YOU PRESS ON THE PEDAL TO MAKE A QUICK STOP IF NECESSARY ON THE HIGHWAY THE PEDAL TRAVELS 4" TO 5". YOU LOSE SECONDS IN A "NEED TO STOP NOW" SITUATION. NOT ONLY DOES THIS MAKE THE DRIVER TRY TO PUMP THE BRAKES BUT THE TRAVEL IS SO LONG AS TO EXTEND YOUR LEG COMPLETELY AND STILL NEED TO COMPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL MORE. DIDN'T REALIZE THIS PROBLEM EXISTED UNTIL THE OTHER DAY WHEN I NEEDED TO PANIC STOP. ALMOST LOST CONTROL TRYING TO COMPENSATE FOR THE PEDAL TRAVEL. ALSO WHEN BACKING MY BOAT INTO THE LAKE - CONSTANT PRESSURE MAKES THE PEDAL TRAVEL DOWN. THE BRAKES HOLD BUT I HAVE TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS "MUSHY" PEDAL. I HAVE RECENTLY REPLACED THE BRAKES, CALIPERS AND MASTER CYLINDER TO NO AVAIL. I GUESS I COULD REPLACE ALL THE BRAKE COMPONENTS BUT ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH IT WON'T HELP. AS I UNDERSTAND IT THE NEWER VEHICLES OF NISSAN (NOT JUST TITAN) HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS I DON'T KNOW. ITS A PROBLEM YOU WOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT UNLESS YOU'VE DRIVEN THESE VEHICLES AWHILE..I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND BEING "DEAD ENDED" BY NISSAN. I'M 63, HAVE WORKED ON CARS MY WHOLE LIFE, I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS AS NO DOUBT MANY HAVE BEEN INJURED OR KILLED BY THIS PROBLEM. I CANT SELL THE VEHICLE TO ANYONE ELSE KNOWING THERE'S NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. PS - FORD, CHRYSLER AND CHEVY DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE ONLY SOLUTION IT SEEMS IS TO MODIFY/REPLACE THE WHOLE BRAKE SYSTEM -- EXPENSIVE AND DIFFICULT - WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. PLEASE HELP.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 154,000.
I PURCHASED MY TRUCK IN 2014 FROM COUNTRY FORD. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE I HAD A TIRE SIDE WALL COME APART ON ONE OF MY BRAND NEW TIRES. I TOOK IT TO COUNTRY FORD AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT. SO I TOOK IT TO GOOD YEAR IN SOUTHAVEN MS WHO SAID IT WAS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT TO COUNTRY FORD'S GENERAL MANAGER WHO IN RETURN FINALLY REPLACED THE TIRE. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD ALL FOUR TIRES ON THE GROUND PATCHED BY ELAINE TIRE COMPANY; TOTAL NUMBER OF PATCHES DONE WERE 5 TIMES. THE TIRE REPAIRMAN STATED THAT ROCKS HAD POKED HOLES IN THE TIRES IN THE TREAD AREA. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT ALL THE TIRES ON MY TRUCK ARE PASSENGER RATED TIRES, INCLUDING THE SPARE WHICH ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR MY TRUCK, INSTEAD OF PUTTING LT TIRES ON THE TRUCK WHICH SHOULD BE MANDATORY BY ALL CAR SALES FACILITIES THEY PUT 4-PLY P-RATED TIRES ON MY TRUCK WHICH ARE DESIGNED FOR PASSENGER CARS. ALL TRUCKS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO HAVE LT-RATED TIRES WITH A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST A 6-PLY TIRE DESIGN. THESE TIRES ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH WHEN THE SIDE WALL CAME APART; AND IF DRIVING ON A GRAVEL ROAD CAN FLATTEN A TIRE THE P-RATED TIRES THAT EASILY THEN THEY SHOULD NOT BE USED AT ALL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GET COUNTRY FORD AND GOOD YEAR TO REPLACE THESE DANGEROUS TIRES SEVERAL TIMES WITH A PROPER LT-RATED TIRE. THEY BOTH REFUSED STATING THE TIRES SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO DO WHAT EVER I WANTED TO DO. EVIDENTLY THEY ARE WORTHLESS FOR EVERYDAY SIMPLE DRIVING, IF THE CAN BE FLATTENED WITH A ROCK.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND TOWED AWAY FROM THE SCENE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE SPRING WAS CORRODED AND FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
LAST WEEK, I DROVE 6 HOURS TO START VACATION WITH MY FAMILY, AUGUST 2014, WHEN I NOTICED THAT MY NISSAN TRUCK WOULD INTERMITTENTLY START TO SHAKE SLIGHTLY AND ALSO MADE A NOISE LIKE A "JAKE BRAKE" DOES ON A TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCK. THIS OCCURRED WHEN I WAS EITHER DRIVING 20 MPH UP TO 65 MPH. I ARRIVED AT MY VACATION LOCATION 6 HOURS FROM MY HOME AND TOOK MY NISSAN TITAN TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING. AFTER THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED MY PROBLEM, THE SERVICE ADVISOR CALLED ME AND SAID MY REAR END DIFFERENTIAL WAS GOING OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN, I KNEW I HAD A PROBLEM AND COULD NOT DRIVE MY TRUCK BACK HOME UNTIL THIS WAS REPAIRED. SINCE CAR DEALERSHIPS DO NOT REPAIR CAR PARTS ANYMORE THESE DAYS, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE REAR END DIFFERENTIAL WOULD COST $3,200.00 PLUS LABOR. THE TOTAL REPAIR CAME TO $3900.00. OUCH! IT TOOK THE DEALERSHIP 5 DAYS TO GET THE NEW REAR END DIFFERENTIAL DELIVERED FROM A NISSAN PARTS HOUSE IN THE NORTHEASTERN US AND REPLACED SINCE THEY DID NOT HAVE IT LOCALLY. MY ISSUE IS THIS.....I HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE THAT HAD TO HAVE THE REAR END DIFFERENTIAL REPLACED AT 79,000 MILES, NOR HAVE ANY OF MY FRIENDS HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM EITHER! I EVEN CALLED NISSAN CORPORATE AND THEY DID NOT OFFER ME ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE EITHER WHICH TELLS ME THEY DON'T REALLY STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT!!! I UNDERSTAND IF IT WERE A WATER PUMP, RADIATOR, BRAKES, TIRES, ETC. BUT NOT A MAJOR COMPONENT THAT SHOULD NOT GO BAD AT 79,000 MILES. ONE MORE THING IN CLOSING, I HAVE NEVER USED A TRAILER TO HAUL ANYTHING EITHER WITH MY NISSAN TITAN PICK UP TRUCK. *TR
