THE CONTACT CALLED GIRARD NISSAN IN GROTON, CT ABOUT THE RECALL AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT PROVIDE A REPAIR TIMEFRAME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
TAKATA RECALL I AM PART OF THE TATAKA AIRBAG RECALL AND THE MANUFACTURER STILL HASN'T HAD A REMEDY FOR IT YET
I CALLED NISSAN DEALERS TO GET A LOANER VEHICLE BECAUSE THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAGS WON'T BE AVAIL UNTIL SPRING 2018 AND THEY DENIED GIVING ME A RENTAL DESPITE THE PROGRAM IN PLACE BY NISSAN TO COVER THE COSTS FOR THEM LEAVING ME STRANDED WITHOUT USE OF A CAR I PAID OFF IN FULL.

THE DEALER (NISSAN OF GARDEN CITY, 316 N FRANKLIN ST, HEMPSTEAD, NY, 11550) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR, AND THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH RENTAL VEHICLES TO RENT OUT FOR LONG TERM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 28480505. IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR REPAIR UNTIL SPRING OF 2018. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO ANOTHER DEALER FOR A LOANER VEHICLE WHO ALSO DECLINED TO PROVIDE ONE. THE CONTACT AWAITED ANOTHER CALL BACK FROM THE MANUFACTURER. TAKATA RECALL, NEVER NOTIFIED OF 1ST PASSENGER SIDE RECALL, MUCH LESS THE NEW DRIVER SIDE RECALL. NO PARTS FOR DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT MAY EXPLODE AND SEND METAL IN TO US?
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DOES NOT WORK. I WAS DRIVING & TBONED, THE AIRBAG DID NOT EMPLOY. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT MY AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING AND CAR WAS RECALLED, BUT NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT.

APPARENTLY THERE WAS A RECALL AND I JUST FOUND OUT THROUGH A STORY POSTED ON FACEBOOK. I WANT TO KNOW WHEN AND HOW I CAN GET THIS FIXED AS I DO LIVE IN A HIGH HUMIDITY STATE (FLORIDA) AND HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED UP TO $500 AS THE LAWSUIT AGREED. I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE PASSENGER NOT THE DRIVERS AIRBAGS UNTIL TODAY.

VEHICLE EXPERIENCES KNOCKING IN THE STEERING COLUMN AT LOW SPEEDS/STATIONARY WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL CLOCKWISE AND COUNTER CLOCKWISE. THIS KNOCKING SYMPTOM IS AMPLIFIED WHEN VEHICLE TRAVELS OVER UNEVEN SURFACE AT ANY SPEED. WHEN BRAKING AT SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SHIFTS VIOLENTLY IN OPERATORS HANDS. ROTORS AND PADS AS WELL AS STRUT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED IN AN ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. SYMPTOMS CONTINUED AFTER THESE REPLACEMENTS. TIE ROD ENDS AND SWING BARS WERE LATER REPLACED WITH NO POSITIVE RESULTS. THIS LEAVE THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE ISSUE IS RELATED TO THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM. POSSIBLE DEFECT IN THE RACK AND PINION STEERING UNIT.

TAKATA RECALL - THE CAR BLEW UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD - WAS DRIVING HEARD A POP, PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SEEN FIRE FROM UNDER CAR THEN CAR BLEW UP
MY 2009 NISSAN VERSA HAS A RECALL FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS. I LIVE IN AN AREA WITH NO DIRECT ACCESS TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP, AND WOULD NEED THE CAR TO BE BARGED TO THE NEAREST ONE. NISSAN HAS REFUSED TO BARGE THE CAR TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE RECALL ISSUE. NISSAN IS REFUSING TO FIX THE RECALL ISSUE LOCALLY WHERE THERE IS NO DEALERSHIP AVAILABLE OR NISSAN CERTIFIED MECHANICS. I HAVE REQUESTED THE PART TO BE SHIPPED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR IT TO BE FIXED, BUT WAS DENIED. I ASKED TO PURCHASE THE PART AND HAVE A LOCAL MECHANIC INSTALL IT AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. SO AT THIS TIME NISSAN IS DENYING ANY POSSIBLE ROUTE TO HAVE THE AIRBAG RECALL FIXED. ALL I WANT IS TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED SO I AM NO LONGER AT RISK OF DEATH DUE TO PROJECTILE METAL SHRAPNEL IN EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT FROM THE AIRBAG CANISTER EXPLODING. NISSAN IS REFUSING TO ALLOW ANY AVENUE TO HAVE THE ISSUE FIXED LOCALLY OR TO MOVE THE VEHICLE TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. NUMEROUS AND REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED WITH NISSAN HAVE LEAD NOWHERE. AT EVERY NEW PHONE CALL ALL PRIOR INFORMATION HAS BEEN LOST AND THE ISSUE MUST BE RE-EXPLAINED. I AM INEVITABLY TOLD THEY WILL LOOK MORE INTO AND PROMISE TO GET BACK TO ME, OUT OF 3 CALLS TO NISSAN DIRECTLY AND APPROXIMATELY 10+ CALLS TO THE COMPANY HANDLING THE RECALL, I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A SINGLE CALL BACK. I DO NOT WISH TO DIE IN A CAR ACCIDENT, I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR THE PART AND LABOR TO BE COMPLETED LOCALLY. ANY ASSISTANCE IN GETTING NISSAN TO ALLOW MY CAR TO BE FIXED SO IT IS NO LONGER AT RISK OF THE AIRBAG CANISTER EXPLODING AND INJURING MYSELF AND PASSENGERS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

THIS CAR HAS THE NHTSA RECALL 15V-573 , WHICH IS FOR THE FRONT SPRING SUSPENSION. YOU GUYS HAVE TO DO THE REAR RECALL FOR THE REAR SPRINGS BECAUSE THEY'VE RUSTED. LIKE IN MY CAR, THEY'RE RUSTED AND IT ONLY HAS 56,890 MILES. SO MY CAR IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE REAR SPRINGS. I'M SENDING THE PICTURES THAT I TOOK. THANKS SO MUCH.
WHEN BACKING CAR MAKES A MOANING NOISE. I JUST LEARNED OF A RECALL FOR FRONT SPRINGS COIL SPRINGS. RECALL ID 239045. YOUR SITE SAYS THAT MY CAR ISNT UNDER IT BUT SHOULD BE. THE CAR TO MY KNOWLEDGE WAS FIRST SOLD IN FLORIDA. I BOUGHT IT FROM CARMAX IN VA. FLORIDA WAS NOT ONE OF THE RECALL STATES BUT VA IS. WE USE ROAD SALT HERE. IT SEEMS TO DO IT IN HOT WEATHER.
EXHAUST BECAME VERY LOUD, RATTLING, ETC. VERIFIED THAT THE FLANGE ON THE MUFFLER HAD RUSTED OFF AT THE WELDS. MUFFLER HANGERS HELD THE MUFFLER IN PLACE. NOT ABLE TO COMMENT AS TO WHETHER OR NOT ANY DRIVERS OR PASSENGERS SUFFERED FROM C02 RELATED HEALTH OR BREATHING ISSUES.

MY CAR IS UNDER 100,000 MILES AND FAILED INSPECTION DUE TO SUB FRAME BUSHING MISSING. THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THESE PARTS USUALLY LAST FOR UP TO 200,000 MILES. HE ALSO TOLD ME MY TIRE COULD'VE COME RIGHT OFF THE CAR WITH THIS PART MISSING. THIS COULD'VE CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT OR FATALITY! CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. I'VE DOWN SOME RESEARCH AND HAVE FOUND LOTS OF VERSAS FROM 2007-2009 MODELS HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS.
I RECEIVED AN NHTSA RECALL 16V-349 FOR THIS CAR IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY, STATING THE IMPORTANCE AND SAFETY OF THIS RECALL. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY FOR TODAY, MAY 3, 2017. I WENT INTO THE NISSAN AND THE SERVICE ADVISOR INFORMED ME THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THEM AND TOLD ME TO CHECK BACK IN JUNE TO SEE IF THEY HAVE IT OR NOT. I LET HIM KNOW THAT I MADE AN APPOINTMENT THE PREVIOUS DAY AND HE SAID THAT THE DEPARTMENTS ARE SEPARATE AND THE GIRLS JUST HANDLE PHONE CALLS AND CASHIERING DUTIES AND THEY WOULDN'T KNOW. AFTER GETTING THIS LETTER AND BEING CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, THEN NOT HAVING THE REPAIR PERFORMED ON MY CAR, I AM EVEN MORE WORRIED ABOUT MY WIFE DRIVING THIS CAR. I'M NOT SURE WHO TO SPEAK TO SO WE CAN REMEDY THIS SITUATION, BUT IT IS IMMENSELY FRUSTRATING AND SCARY.

FRONT COIL SPRING SHATTERED TEARING UP FRONT TIRE THIS EXACT PROBLEM WAS NOTED FOR VERSA IN RECALL 15V573000 DATE 09/14/2015. MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. IT APPEARS THAT THE RECALL WAS TO LIMITED. AFTER GETTING CAR REPAIRED NISSAN HAS REFUSED TO PAY FOR MY REPAIR COSTS STATING THE CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. LUCKILY I PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE SPRING EXPLODED. I THINK THE RECALL WAS TO LIMITED AND I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED TO MY EXPENSES.
NO INCIDENT TO DATE. I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION IN THE MAIL THAT MY PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG IS UNSAFE, BUT NISSAN IS STILL WAITING FOR PARTS BEFORE THE DEFECT CAN BE REMEDIED. IN THE MEANTIME, IF AN INJURY OR DEATH RESULTS FROM THIS DEFECT, I WILL SUE THE MANUFACTURER.
TAKATA RECAL I GOT A RECALL NOTICE OVER A YEAR AGO, AND NISSAN KEEPS TELLING ME I'M ON THE RECALL REPLACEMENT LIST BUT KEEPS DELAYING INSTALLING THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG.
ENGINE COMPLETELY STALLED FOUR SEPARATE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. WITHOUT WARNING, TOTALLY LOST POWER AND HAD TO COAST TO THE EMERGENCY LANE. AT FIRST, ENGINE WOULD RESTART, COUGH AND SPUTTER, THEN DIE. AFTER ABOUT TEN MINUTES, HOWEVER, IT RESTARTED LIKE NORMAL AND IT WAS LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. DROVE FINE FOR MONTHS UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN. AND AGAIN. AND AGAIN. THIS STARTED OCCURRING WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 85,000 MILES. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AFTER LAST INCIDENT (ABOUT 95,000 MILES) AND THEY SAID THEY RAN COMPLETE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS, BUT COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. ADVISED ME TO HAVE VEHICLE BROUGHT IN NEXT TIME IT STALLS (BUT THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE TRANSITORY). I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY AND CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY I DIDN'T GET REAR-ENDED.

THE TECHNICIAN ALSO STATED THAT THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED EARLIER IN THE YEAR THAT THE CLOCKSPRING WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.

NEXT TIME TOLD END OF JULY. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER AND STILL WAITING ON PARTS. I NEVER EXPECTED SUCH A SERIOUS RECALL COULD TAKE SO LONG. THANK GOD I'M NOT SENDING A COMPLAINT TELLING YOU THE AIR BAG RUPTURED AND MY SON IS DEAD BECAUSE OF IT. TO HAVE TO WORRY EVERY TIME THE CAR IS USED THAT HE WILL BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR WORSE, IS UNACCEPTABLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE. FEEL AT THIS POINT, THAT NISSAN SHOULD PROVIDE ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR HIM TO DRIVE INSTEAD OF HAVING HIM BE AT RISK OF DYING FROM THIS FAULTY AIRBAG THAT CAN RUPTURE EVEN AT HIGH TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY. IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE AN ACCIDENT. WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY?

IN 2016 THE DRIVER SIDE, FRONT, OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE HAD BROKEN OFF. I HAD IT FIXED ONLY TO HAVE IT BROKEN OFF AGAIN THIS PAST SPRING. THIS TIME ORDERED THE PART MYSELF RIGHT FROM NISSAN. THIS WAS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE OF TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR UNTIL IT WAS FIXED. NOW THE DRIVER SIDE BACK, OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE! JUST WONDERING IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE?? I LIVE IN THE COUNTRY SO THERE IS NO ONE AROUND TO DAMAGE IT. IT IS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OFF THE STREET.

TO THIS DAY, AUGUST 18TH, 2017, I HAVE RECEIVED NO FURTHER NOTICE TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE NEW PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS AND I FEEL THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE THIS MATTER TAKEN CARE OF IMMEDIATELY.
