2005 PONTIAC G6 GT.. THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAS WENT OUT ON ME TWICE & HAVE HAD THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP MULTIPLE TIMES. THERE IS ALSO A VERY LOUD CLUCKING NOISE WHEN I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. *TR
CPST NOTED DURING CRS INSTALLATION THAT VEHICLE OWNERS MANUAL FOR 2005 PONTIAC G6 GT INDICATED THAT LATCH ANCHORS WERE LOCATED IN OUTBOARD SEATING LOCATIONS. VEHICLE CLEARLY HAD 6 LOWER ANCHORS (3 SETS). LOWER ANCHOR CONFIGURATION APPEARS "ATYPICAL" FOR THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AND CENTER SEATING POSITIONS. THESE 4 ANCHORS ARE UNEVENLY SPACED AND LIKELY REQUIRE THE USE OF "EVERY-OTHER ANCHOR" TO PROPERLY SECURE A CRS. THE VEHICLE MANUAL GUIDANCE DIRECTIONS COULD POSE A SIGNIFICANT RISK AS THE REAR OUTBOARD LOCATION BEHIND THE DRIVER HAS 2 ANCHORS SPACED ABOUT 8-9 INCHES APART. CENTER LATCH INSTALL COULD ALSO BE A PROBLEM AS THE TWO CENTER MOST ANCHORS (OF THE 6 TOTAL ANCHORS) ARE ALSO SPACED ONLY 8-9 INCHES APART. THIS ATYPICAL SPACING IS NOT UNCOMMON IN GM VEHICLES BUT IS DETAILED IN THE VEHICLE MANUALS.....AND USUALLY INCLUDES AN ILLUSTRATION. THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE MANUAL GAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHICH OF THESE ATYPICAL ANCHORS SHOULD BE USED TO INSTALL A CRS BEHIND THE DRIVER OR IN THE CENTER WITH LATCH. VEHICLE MANUAL COVER INDICATED IT WAS THE 2005 PONTIAC G-6 MANUAL. THE FIRST PAGE OF THE MANUAL ....INDICATED THE PART # FOR THE MANUAL WAS: 05PON/BUIWARSUPL 2004 GMC THIS COMPLAINT INVOLVES PRIMARILY THE VEHICLE OWNERS MANUAL ...BUT INDIRECTLY INVOLVES ATYPICAL LOWER LATCH ANCHORS THAT ARE SPACED NON-INTUITIVELY AND MAY RESULT IN INSTALLATION ERRORS FOR CHILD SAFETY SEATS. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 PONTIAC G6. SINCE ABOUT SUMMER OF 2008 THE "POWER STEERING FLUID" LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON INTERMITTENTLY. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A REPUTABLE SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD THE CAR HAD ELECTRIC STEERING AND NOT HYDRAULIC AND TO TAKE THE CAR TO A PONTIAC DEALERSHIP. IN THE RECENT MONTHS. I LOANED MY CAR TO MY 75 AND 68 YEAR OLD PARENTS WHEN THE POWER STEERING FAILED MAKING THE CAR DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. IN THE PAST WEEK, I HAVE HAD TO RESTART (REBOOT) THE CAR TO RE-GAIN POWER STEERING THE PARKING LOT AT WORK JUST TO PARK OR BACK OUT OF A SPACE. *TR
THE ELECT PWR STEERING HAS GONE OUT TWICE. BOTH OCCASIONS I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION AND WHEN I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP IT WAS FINE. WHEN IT GOES OUT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO STEERING. THE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASH LIGHTS UP WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS IS ON A 2005 PONTIAC G6. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET, IT APPEARS THIS IS NOT A RANDOM PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. IT HAS ONLY 58145 MILES ON IT. I AM GOING TO TAKE IT INTO THE MY LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. *TR
2005 PONTIAC G 6 POWER STEERING SHUTS DOWN, STEERING BECOMES VERY TIGHT, HARD TO TURN. I RECEIVED A LETTER COVERING STEERING PROBLEM UP 60000 MILES IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM. SINCE NOVEMBER POWER STEERING HAS SHUT DOWN ON 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, TURNING OFF AND RESTARTING CAR IS THE ONLY WAY TO RESTORE STEERING. DANGEROUS VERY HARD TO TURN AT LOWER SPEEDS NOT EXACTLY EASY AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. *TR
IN LATE 2006 I PURCHASED A 2005 PONTIAC G6. IN EARLY 2007 I WAS DRIVING AND MY STEERING LOCKED UP. AFTER IT LOCKED UP IT BECAME VERY LOOSE, AS IN YOU COULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CHANGE DIRECTION. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CLOSED DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN, WHICH THEY DID AT NO COST TO ME. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE, SUCH AS BRAKE PROBLEMS, CATALYTIC CONVERTER WENT OUT, ETC. I STILL OWE $11,000 ON THIS VEHICLE AND IT ONLY HAS 60,000 MILES ON IT. JUST LAST SUNDAY, 2/28/10, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY 18 MONTH OLD SON IN THE CAR AND MY STEERING FAILED. THE CAR STARTED BEEPING, THE DISPLAY READ "POWER STEERING" AND THE STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED. I TURNED THE WHEEL TO PULL OF THE FREEWAY BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN. IT WAS NOT HARD TO TURN AS GM CLAIMS BUT COMPLETELY LOOSE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE POWER STEERING MOTOR AND MODULE NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IT WILL COST ME $1,200. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO CONTINUE TO PAY FOR A VEHICLE THAT I AM SCARED TO HAVE MY SON RIDE IN. SO WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO SOMEHOW COME UP WITH THE $1,200 THEY ADVISE THIS WILL COST TO GET IT FIXED, THEN WHAT? IT FAILS AGAIN? I CAN'T TRADE IT IS BECAUSE THE CAR IS WORTH LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT OWE. I CONTACTED PONTIAC AND THEY INFORM ME THAT MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED SO THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. ANY ADVISE? *TR
I OWN A 2005 PONTIAC G6 AND FOR THE PAST FOUR MONTHS THE POWER STEERING MOTOR HAS BEEN GOING OUT. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM IS SO COMMON LOCAL DEALERS STARTED TO CARRY THE NECESSARY PARTS. I HAVE A 2YR OLD SON THAT I DRIVE TO DAYCARE EVERY MORNING AND COMING UP WITH $600 FOR THE REPAIR IS A BIT EXPENSIVE. I HOPE THAT THE COMPANY STARTS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE LOSES A LIFE OR EVEN WORSE THEIR CHILD. *TR
PONTIAC G6 2005 POWER STEERING GOES OUT DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW. HAD THE POWER STEERING REPLACED AT 50,000 MILES AND NOW HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. NEED A RECALL! NOT PAYING TO FIX IT AGAIN! *TR
POWER STEERING FAILED ON MY 2005 PONTIAC G6. VEHICLE RESULTED IN AN ALMOST SEVERE CRASH ON THE INTERSTATE. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE I'VE FOUND THAT THERE IS A LIMITED RECALL ON THIS PART!!! THAT IS INSANE. ALSO, MY 2005 IS NOT COVERED! I COULD HAVE LOST MY LIFE ON THE HWY DUE TO A MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED FREE OF CHARGE. AFTER REPAIR ATTEMPTS MY POWER STEERING IS STILL INOPERABLE. *TR
MY COMPLAINT IS IN REFERENCE TO # PE07023. ON 2/19/2010, I BEGAN TO RECEIVE ISSUES WITH THE POWER STEERING OF MY PONTIAC G6 2005 GT. THE STEERING BECAME OVERBEARING TO THE POINT WHERE I COULD NOT TURN AND WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND RESTARTED IT . AT THAT POINT I WAS ABLE TO MOVE MY VEHICLE AND BEING DRIVING AGAIN. AFTER BEING EXTREMELY FRIGHTENED I MADE HOME AND BEGAN TO DO RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE. I FOUND NUMBERS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM ALONG WITH YOUR WEBSITE. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT GM HAS NOT FILED A RECALL ON AN ISSUE THAT IS SO DANGEROUS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WERE GOING THROUGH BANKRUPTCY BUT AT WHOSE EXPENSE? I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY VEHICLE FIXED YET DUE TO MONEY ISSUES. HOWEVER I DID NOT EXPECT TO HAVE TO GET SOMETHING SO MAJOR FIXED ON A VEHICLE THAT IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. I WAS NOT OFFERED A WARRANTY ON MY VEHICLE WHEN I PURCHASED AND NOW I THINK I KNOW WHY I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM THIS VEHICLE FROM DAY ONE.. ELECTRICITY, BATTERY, BRAKES JUST TO NAME A FEW. CURRENTLY TOYOTA IS UNDERGOING MAJOR ISSUES AND GM NEEDS HAVE A BIT OF THAT LIME LIGHT AS WELL. I FEEL FOR ANY ONE WHO IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE WITH THEIR VEHICLE AS IT IS DANGEROUS AND SCARY PERSONALLY LEAVING ME HELPLESS. I PRAY FOR ANY ONE WHO HAS NOT GOTTEN THIS PROBLEM FIXED AS I WISH THERE IS NOT ANY MORE ACCIDENTS PERTAINING TO A SIMPLE FIX BY GM. IS IT CHEAPER TO HAVE LAW SUITS AGAINST YOU OR FIX THE 100,000 VEHICLES THAT ARE UNDER THIS INVESTIGATION. *TR
I WAS ALTERED ON MY RADIO ALARM SYSTEM TO "CHECK POWER STEERING". THE WARNING WENT AWAY THE NEXT TIME I STARTED THE CAR. THEN A MONTH OR SO LATER I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN WHEN MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN CORNERS AND I FEAR WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WERE DRIVING FAST AND IT FAILED AND I DID NOT KNOW IT HAD FAILED AGAIN AND I NEEDED TO MOVE QUICKLY OUT OF THE WAY OF ON COMING TRAFFIC. I TOOK IT TO A GM DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A SENSOR ON THE STEERING COLUMN. THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING AGAIN, BUT THEY SAID IT WOULD BE BEST TO FIX IT WHICH MEANT COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF THE POWER STEERING COLUMN. MY CAR HAS 66849 MILES ON IT. ALSO, MY IGNITION WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION ABOUT HALF THE TIME. THE REPAIR TO THE STEERING COLUMN DID NOT FIX THIS. THE COST OF THE STEERING COLUMN REPAIR WAS $697.46. THE REPAIR WAS DONE LAST WEEKEND (FEBRUARY 19, 2010). NOW GM HAS A RECALL OUT ON 1.3 MILLION VEHICLES WITH THIS SAME FAILURE,BUT THEY DO NOT LIST MY CAR A 2005 - G6. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!! *TR
THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCURRENCES I HAVE HAD WITH THE STEERING ON MY 2005 PONTIAC G6: STEERING ISSUE #1: MY STEERING WHEEL WAS EASY TO TURN TO THE LEFT BUT NOT RIGHT. SHORTLY AFTER IT WOULD BEGIN IT WOULD CORRECT ITSELF: DEALERSHIP RESOLUTION WAS TO REPLACE THE CONTROL ARMS BECAUSE THEY WERE BINDING UP. STEERING ISSUE #2 - AFTER INITIAL REPAIRS, THE PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED. UPON RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY IDENTIFIED ADDITIONAL REPAIRS THAT WERE NECESSARY DUE TO SYMPTOMS REPORTED. DEALERSHIP RESOLUTION WAS TO REPLACE THE RACK (4 TIMES SO FAR). STEERING ISSUE #3: I HAD NO STEERING POWER AT ALL WHILE TRYING TO TURN INTO A PARKING LOT WITH NO WARNING. I ENDED UP HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO THE CLOSEST DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP RESOLUTION WAS REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN AND STEERING COIL AS IT HAD SNAPPED THUS CAUSING THE SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING. STEERING ISSUE #4: MY RADIO SOUNDED A MESSAGE THAT SAID "POWER STEERING" AND I COULD NOT TURN MY WHEEL IN EITHER DIRECTION. THIS HAPPENED ONCE WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO WRECK INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND A SECOND TIME LEAVING A PARKING LOT. DEALERSHIP RESOLUTION WAS TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN AND ELECTRICAL BOX TO THE TUNE OF $1,000 WHICH I CANNOT AFFORD. MY ONLY SAVING GRACE IS THAT THIS PIECE OF JUNK IS PAID OFF IN THREE MORE MONTHS WHICH WILL NOT COME SOON ENOUGH. MILES AT TIME OF LAST INCIDENT WAS 106,000 AND 109,000 MILES, CURRENT MILEAGE IS 114,000 MILES. (2005 PONTIAC G6 PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2006) I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO FIND OUT THAT PONTIAC RECENTLY RECALLED THE G5 SERIES OF THEIR VEHICLES FOR ELECTRONIC STEERING ISSUES AND ARE AWARE OF THE STEERING ISSUES ON THEIR G6 MODELS. IF THIS IS THE CASE, THEN WHY ARE THEY NOT RECALLING ALL MODELS WITH KNOWN SIMILAR ISSUES OR ATLEAST MAKING THE PUBLIC AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM DESERVES FURTHER SCRUTINY. DID NO ONE LEARN A LESSON FROM TOYOTA??? SHAME ON YOU! *TR
MY 18 DAUGHTER WAS LEAVING FOR SCHOOL. TURNED OUT ON THE HIGHWAY AND NO POWER STEERINGON HER 2005 PONT. GMC G6 ONLY 54000 MILES LOOKED ON THE INTERNET FOR PROBLEMS. DISCOVERED OTHER PEOPLE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THE POWER STEERING PUMP IN THE STEERING COLUMN WENT OUT HAD IT REPLACED BEFORE MY DAUGHTER HAD AN ACCIDENT. TOTAL COST 800.00. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CONTACT EXPERIENCING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS AN UNKNOWN RECALL RELATED DEFECT ON HIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,000. UPDATED 10/01/2010. *LJ
IT IS A 2005 PONTIAC G6, THE STEERING PULLED HARD LEFT WHEN MY WIFE STARTED A LEFT TURN FROM A STOP SIGN. IT PULLED THE STEERING WHEEL RIGHT OUT OF HER HANDS, IT IS LUCKY THERE WAS NO OTHER TRAFFIC. I HAD DONE A CHECK AND IT WOULD STEER TO THE FULL STOPPING POINT IF YOU JUST TOUCHED IT IN THAT DIRECTION. BUT TURNING TO THE RIGHT IT WAS DIFFICULT. AFTER CHECKING ALL OF THE OBVIOUS LIKE TIRES, TIERODS OR FOR DAMAGE I TESTED AGAIN AND IT ALL WORKED FINE. A WEEK LATER IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN BUT YOU COULD HOLD IT STRAIGHT. I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND WHEN I WOULD SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT WOULD BE FINE. LASTED ABOUT ANOTHER WEEK WHEN WE WERE TRAVELING ABOUT 50 MILES FROM HOME IT DID IT AGAIN BUT THIS TIME WE GOT THE MESSAGE ON THE READ OUT SAYING POWER STEERING AND RESTARTING IT WOULD NOT RESET IT. WE DROVE IT HOME IN MANUAL STEERING. CALLED THE DEALER IN RENTION WA. AND THE ONE IN PUYALLUP AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY STEERING PROBLEMS. I TOOK IT TO THE PUYALLUP DEALER AND THEY TROUBLESHOOT IT TO THE STEERING COLUMN. WE GOT IT REPLACE AT A COST OF OVER $800 BECAUSE OUR WARRANTY WAS UP. NOW I AM HEARING ABOUT ALL OF THESE OTHER REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING ON THESE MODELS. I FEEL THAT IF A PERSON WAS NOT PAYING A GREAT DEAL OF ATTENTION THAT THIS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEMS. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT. *TR
I OWN A 2005 PONTIAC G6 AND HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL. IT WILL DISENGAGE WHILE ON AND THEN THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL GO ON AND OFF. YESTERDAY, MY 16 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING IT HOME FROM SCHOOL AND HAD THE CRUISE ON. IT STARTED ACCELERATING AND HE COULD NOT GET IT TO COME OFF IMMEDIATELY. IT TOOK HIM CLOSE TO 2 MINUTES TO GET IT TO GO OFF. IT HAD ACCELERATED CLOSE TO 90 MPH. I NOTIFIED GM AND THEY TOOK MY INFORMATION AND SAID IT WOULD BE DOCUMENTED. I AM AFRAID IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO EITHER WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM OR COMPUTER ISSUES. THIS IS VERY SCARY WITH EVERYTHING GOING ON WITH TOYOTA AND TO KNOW IT COULD BE HAPPENING TO OTHER CARS ALSO. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, WITHOUT A WARNING THE POWER STEERING LOCKED . THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON, HOWEVER THE FAILURE REOCCURRED. THIS FAILURE HAS OCCURRED 2 TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER BECAUSE IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED BY THE DEALER AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT.THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80000.
POWER STEERING MESSAGE APPEARED ON RADIO. CONTACTED DEALER - REPLACED STEERING COLUMN. COST WAS $357 FOR LABOR AND $369 FOR PART. THESE STEERING COLUMNS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON PONTIACS AND COBALTS SO THEY ARE MOST LIKELY DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
MY VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER STEERING WITHOUT ANY WARNING AT ANY GIVEN TIME. I WILL BE DRIVING AND OUT OF NO WHERE, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, A WRENCH LIGHT WILL COME ON THE DASH AND THE POWER STEERING WILL STOP WORKING. THE STEERING BECOMES VERY VERY HARD TO TURN AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET INTO TWO ACCIDENTS. I WANTED TO GET IT REPAIRED, BUT WAS QUOTED OVER $800 DOLLARS FOR PARTS AND LABOR. I WENT TO LOOK ONLINE FOR OTHER OPTIONS AND SAW THAT THEIR HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FILED WITH NHTSA ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. I KNOW THAT YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT GM'S CURRENT FINANCIAL STATUS BUT AS A GOVERNMENT AGENCY FOR THE PEOPLE, I PLEAD WITH YOU TO PLEASE MAKE RIGHT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A MECHANIC ALSO THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. *TR
2005 PONTIAC G6 POWER STEERING FAILURE. 64K MILES ON CAR. NO INJURIES OR CRASHES YET. TURNING CAR OFF AND RESTARTING ALLOWS THE POWER STEERING TO WORK AGAIN. DIAGNOSED AS BAD STEERING SENSOR WHICH REQUIRES A REPLACEMENT STEERING COLUMN FOR $800. GM HAS REFUSED TO COVER AS A SAFETY ISSUE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, HE HEARD A CHIMING NOISE AND SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING. HE CITED THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO HANDLE THE STEERING WHEEL AND A WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. DRIVING CAR TO WORK, ON I-285 GETTING ON RAMP TO I-85 NORTH IN ATLANTA, GA. WHILE ON THE RAMP I FELT THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTEN, THE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND INFO PANEL INDICATED POWER STEERING. WHILE MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN AT AN INTERSECTION, THE STEERING POPPED AND LOCKED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TURN. THE CAR RAN INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE WHEN THE STEERING LOCKED. I CAME ABOUT A FOOT AWAY FROM HITTING A TRUCK THAT WAS COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. I IMMEDIATELY PARKED THE CAR AND MOVED THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH.
