While driving the vehicle, the break lights are on, when you stop, or press the break peddle, the break lights go out, therefore giving no warning to the vehicles behind you.
I have had to get 3 new keys made for this car due to the security light coming on, sometimes it will not crank or start, so I have replaced the starter twice, have replaced relays and fuses, and the security light will come on while drive down the road and all gauges drop to zero, even the gas light says empty and every light on the dash comes on. But the car will still drive. But once you turn it off it will not start for a few hours! It’s impossible to find parts for Pontiac anymore so everything has to be ordered! This should’ve been recalled a long time ago!
My car stopped working all of a sudden in the middle of the road. no warning signs were made nor any of my lights came on. it’s rough running and never stays on long to drive. when i brake it completely shuts off. it overheats without the temperature gauge telling me it is. i don’t know exactly what is wrong but it’s not working now. i couldn’t go over 35 mph without it shutting off either.
WHILE DRIVING I OPENED MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF AND IT PROCEEDED TO COME OFF OF THE TRACKS AND GLASS FELL THROUGH THE SUNROOF ON TO MY HEAD AND INTO THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT IS MADE OF FOUR PANELS NONE OF WHICH ARE ATTACHED IT WILL NO LONGER WORK PROPERLY WITHOUT DOING DAMAGE OR HURTING SOMEONE. *TR

WITH MY ENGINE I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE ON TIME SINCE I'VE GOT THE CAR. THAN RIGHT BEFORE ONE OIL CHANGE I HEAR A KNOCK IN THE ENGINE. SO I GET AN OIL CHANGE AGAIN AND IT WAS STILL MAKING THIS NOISE. FOLLOWING THAT MY AIR CIRCULATION FOR THE FAN WOULD STOP WORKING AT TIMES. MY RADIO ELECTRIC LINE SEEMS DAMAGED. WORKS SOMETIMES.
BREAKING LIGHTS COME WITH OUT TOUCHING THE PEDDLE WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.TWO PEOPLE HAVE PULLED UP TO ME AT STOP LIGHTS TELLING ME THAT THE BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON. DRIVING DOWN THE HWY YOU AT NIGHT,YOU CAN SEE THAT THEY ARE ON,ALL THE REFLECTORS ARE LIGHTED UP
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING PRESSED.. SAME TIME IT TURNS OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM.. REPLACED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN 1 MONTH LATER, AS SOON AS THE CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS OFF AT ANY SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY I STOP AND CHECK. AND OF COURSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE STUCK ON.
MY CARS ELECTRIC SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY WENT OUT. MY HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM COMPLETELY WENT OUT . ITS EXTREMELY HARD JUST TO GET MY CAR OUT OF PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY. MY KEYS GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND ITS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING BECAUSE YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR KEYS IN THE IGNITION, OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE TO LOCK YOUR DOOR SO NO ONE WILL STEAL YOUR CAR WHILE YOUR SLEEPING. AND THE MOST DANGEROUS PART OR WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY CAR IS, WHEN DRIVING THE BRAKE MEDAL IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO MASH WHILE DRIVING EVEN WITH TWO FEET. AND MY MORNING COMMUTE TO WORK REQUIRES ME TO BE ON THE HIGHWAY. I'VE HAD RECALL WORK DONE TO MY 2006 PONTIAC G6 BEFORE DUE TO MY ELECTRIC SYSTEM FAILING AND THESE ARE ALL OF THE SAME SIGNS OF THE RECALL. AND I WOULDN'T DARE LET MY FAMILY RIDE IN THIS CAR. WHILE DRIVING I WILL GO TO EXELLERATE AND MY RPM GAGE WILL FLAIR UP AND THEN CRASH AND MY CAR WILL DIE OUT AND I WIL HAVE TO QUICKLY GET OFF THE ROAD WITHOUT GETTING HIT AND TRY TO RESTART MY CAR IF THE RPM GAGE DOESN'T INGAGE THE CHANCES OF IT DYING WHILE DRIVING IS LESS BUT WHEN IT DOES I KNOW AT SOME POINT THE CAR WILL DIE. FOR THE LAST WEEK I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE IGNITION TO MY CAR THAT IT TAKES 3-5 TIMES OF ME TRYING TO START THE CAR BEFORE THE CAR WILL START. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE THIS MORNING TO TEST EVERYTHING, MY STARTER ETC. WHEN THEY PLUGGED IT IN TO THE SUB PORT UNDERNEATH WHERE I PUT MY FEET FOR THE GAS AND BREAK IT WOULDN'T GIVE HIM ANY READINGS AND HE DID THIS 3-4 TIMES. HE SAID THE ONLY THING HE COULD SAY IT WAS COMPUTER ISSUES AND IF MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON TO GET IT TURNED OFF. I LOOKED FOR RECALLS BUT NONE CAME UP. WHAT DO I DO BECAUSE COMPUTER WORK IS VERY EXPENSIVE. ANY HELP OR ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED, BRAKE LIGHTS REMAIN ON. WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURN OFF. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CAN POSSIBLY CAUSE A REAR END ACCIDENT.
POWER STEERING GOES OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHEN DRIVING. MOST RECENT WAS DRIVING HOME FROM NEW YORK ON FRIDAY AND IT WENT OUT. IT COMES BACK WITHOUT WARNING AS WELL. IT IS WORKING FINE NOW. BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON WHEN DRIVING AND GO OFF WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED. THIS HAPPENS 95 PERCENT OF THE TIME WITH THEM WORKING THE CORRECT WAY GETTING LESS AND LESS FREQUENT.

7 DIFFERENT MAJOR ISSUES
ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS ON DASH CAME ON DURING A ROUTINE DRIVE, AND REMAIN ON. HAD MECHANIC INSPECT- CONCLUDED THAT BOTH SENSORS WORKING, MALFUNCTION DUE TO NO ELECTRICITY BEING DELIVERED. AS A RESULT, CRITICAL CRASH AVOIDANCE FEATURES (BOTH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE AND TRACTION CONTROL ARE CRITICAL) ARE DISABLED / FAILING. REPAIR WOULD REQUIRE TRACING WIRE BACK TO POINT OF ISSUE. BEFORE HAVING A PRIVATE MECHANIC ADDRESS, I LEARNED OF RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000) EFFECTIVE AUG 18, 2014, WHEREBY GM TO ADDRESS WIRING HARNESS WITH SPACERS AND DIELECTRICAL LUBRICANT. CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS ON THIS AND TOLD NO OPEN RECALL; TOLD THAT IT WAS ALREADY ADDRESSED BY SERVICE AT DEVAN CHEVROLET, WILTON CT ON AUG 13, 2015. I DO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAD THE CAR AT THAT DEALER / SERVICE CENTER ON THAT DATE FOR ANOTHER MATTER- I HAD NO ISSUES OR SYMPTOMS WITH ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WHILE ITS POSSIBLE THAT DURING THAT VISIT THEY ACTIONED THE REMEDY DETAILED IN THE RECALL, HOWEVER, AS THERE WAS NO NOTED ISSUE AT THAT TIME, I AM NOT SURE THEY DID ANYTHING THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE. NOW THAT THE SYMPTOMS ARE PERSISTENT, GM APPEARS TO DECLARE NO REPAIR IS REQUIRED UNDER THE RECALL.
THE BRAKE LIGHTS STARTED COMING ON WITHOUT THE PEDAL BEING PUSHED.THEN THE BATTERY STARTED GOING DEAD RANDOMLY WHEN PARKED.THEN ALL DASHLIGHTS FLICKERING ,POWER LOCKS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THERESELF,AND LOST ACCELERATING POWER AND SHUT OFF ,ALL HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION ON CITY STREET.HAVE TROUBLE SWITCHING GEAR SHIFT OUT OF PARK.FRONT BRAKES ALSO LOCKING UP RANDOMLY WHEN DRIVING.
RECALL 13036 INCLUDING SPECIAL COVERAGE 16188 DID NOT FIX MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE HAS THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS... -SERVICE BRAKE LAMPS ILLUMINATE WHEN THE SERVICE BRAKES ARE NOT BEING APPLIED -SERVICE BRAKE LAMPS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE SERVICE BRAKES ARE APPLIED -CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT ENGAGE (THE ABOVE CONDITIONS HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, STATIONARY, ON STREETS, HIGHWAYS, TURNING AND BRAKING.) -VEHICLE WILL SHIFT OUT OF PARK WITHOUT THE SERVICE BRAKES BEING APPLIED THESE ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE THE EXACT CONDITIONS THAT RECALL 13036 WAS TO HAVE FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP ADDRESSED THIS RECALL EARLIER THIS YEAR, AND THE VEHICLE IS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. I CANNOT GET MY VEHICLE BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO DELIVER THE VEHICLE TO ME UNTIL THE DEFECT IS REMEDIED. SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAYS THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) NEEDS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WENT IN FOR RECALL, THE RECALL DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK AND AM TOLD THAT 1) THE PROBLEM IS THE BCM AND 2) I CANT HAVE THE VEHICLE BACK UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. I AM NOT SATISFIED. THE VEHICLE PROBLEM IS NOT REMEDIED. I AM HAVING TO PAY TO GET THE VEHICLE REMEDIED. PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE REFERS ME TO THE NHTSA. THE VEHICLE IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO THE DRIVER AND ANY PASSENGERS, AS WELL AS FELLOW MOTORISTS AROUND THE VEHICLE. FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS, MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE BARELY BEEN WORKING. EVER SINCE I'VE GOTTEN MY CAR I'VE HAD ISSUES WITH THEM AND HAVE HAD THEM REPLACED PLUS WIRING REDONE MORE THAN 3 TIMES. EACH TIME MY LOW BEAMS GO OUT. IT STARTED WITH ONE WORKING AND ONE NOT, AND QUICKLY LED TO BOTH GOING ON. THEY WILL NOT WORK. I'VE LOOKED IT UP AND HAVE SEEN MANY PEOPLE HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS, ALONG WITH MY FRIENDS MOM HAVING THE SAME EXACT CAR, DIFFERENT YEAR MIND YOU BUT THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I'VE LOOKED UP MY VIN FOR ANY POSSIBLE RECALLS AND CAN'T COME ACROSS ONE, EVEN THOUGH I'VE SEEN THIS HAS BEEN A BIG ISSUE FOR GM. MY INSPECTION IS COMING UP AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY LIGHTS, AS THEY WON'T WORK NO MATTER HOW MUCH I FIX THEM. MY HIGH BEAMS DO SO I'VE BEEN HAVING TO DRIVE WITH THEM.
