AT RED LIGHT, WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I STEPPED ON GAS AND CAR ACTED AS THO IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. IT WILL NOT GO EXCEPT IN REVERSE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT IN THE MANUAL MODE TO GET CLOSER TO HOME AND SAME THING HAPPENED IN MANUAL MODE IN STOPPED TRAFFIC. I'VE SINCE SEEN SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE PONTIAC G6 OWNERS FORUM, THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR/MAKE/MODEL. I'VE GOTTEN VERBAL ESTIMATES FROM A FEW TRANSMISSION REPAIR FACILITIES AND THE COST TO REPAIR RANGES FROM $2200-$3400. I CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX THIS, AND IT'S AN ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED AS IT HAS HAPPENED TO SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE. JUST BECAUSE NO ONE HAS REPORTEDLY DIED IT APPEARS GM WON'T ISSUE THE RECALL. IF THIS HAPPENS TO SOMEONE ON THE HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC IT COULD VERY WELL CAUSE INJURIES/FATALITIES. GM REFUSES TO HELP WHEN CONTACTED. I NEED HELP, THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION AND I COULD LOSE MY JOB IF I CANNOT GET THIS FIXED SOON.
THERE WAS NO INCIDENT. I'M JUST SMELLING GAS AND MY CAR ISN'T STARTING ON THE FIRST TURN LIKE BEFORE. AS I WAS DOING MY RESEARCH, I CAME ACROSS THE RECALL ON THE FUEL PUMP. I ALSO RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT A RECALL 13036 BRAKE LAMP MALFUNCTION AS WELL AS 14152 TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE FRACTURE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT ACTION I NEED TO TAKE. I SEE THE GAS ISSUE IS A BIG CONCERN.
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT WILL COME ON. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2011. I BELIEVE THIS HAS A CORRELATION WITH THE BATTERY BECAUSE WHEN THE INDICATOR LIGHT STARTS TO COME ON EVERY TIME I'M DRIVING THE CAR, I KNOW THE BATTERY WILL SOON DIE. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THREE BATTERIES SINCE OWNING MY CAR (2010). ONCE I GET A NEW BATTERY, THE INDICATOR LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON FOR A WHILE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THAT WHILE IN PARK, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY FORCE TO THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL INDEPENDENTLY VEERED LEFT AND RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,459.
I HAVE HAD TO CHANGE MY DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT BULB FOUR TIMES IN FOUR MONTHS. THE LAST ONE THAT I HAD CHANGED BLEW ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALLATION (WITHIN THREE HOURS).WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO BE FIXED I WAS TOLD THAT THE CONNECTER CABLE HAS MELTED BECAUSE THE LIGHT GETS TO HOT. NOW I HAVE TO HAVE THAT PART REPLACED AS WELL, AND I AM GIVEN NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL LAST EITHER. THE WORST PART IS THAT THE DEALERSHIP WANTS $55.00 FOR THE PART AND $143.00 FOR LABOR! CRAZY!
I DO NOT REMEMBER THE DATE OR MILEAGE BUT MY CAR HAS MANY PROBLEMS. THE TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON, IT SAYS TRACTION OFF. IT AFFECTS THE STEERING, BREAKS, IT CAUSES FISHTAILING. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR SAFETY! THE COMPANY SHOULD REPLACE IT OR GIVE THE OWNERS NEW CARS OR A DISCOUNT ON A NEW VEHICLE. I AM HAVING THE TRACTION SENSORS REPLACED COSTING ME $400. I WAS TOLD THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AS WELL! I WAS ALSO TOLD IT COULD BE A RECALL BUT THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME $1200 TO CHANGE IT! WHAT DO I DO? I WAS PULLING MY CAR OUT OF A PARKING LOT ONTO A BUSY STREET WHEN THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. NO WARNING SIGNS WERE GIVEN, JUST TURNED OFF, LEAVING ME HALF WAY PULLED INTO TRAFFIC. HAD TO SHUT THE IGNITION OFF AND RESTART THE CAR. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
IN MID-JULY, 2015 ONE HEADLIGHT (DIM) STOPPED WORKING AND WITHIN A FEW DAYS, THE OTHER DID ALSO. I REPLACED BOTH DIM HEADLIGHTS ON JULY 18, 2015. WITHIN A WEEK, BOTH DIM HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. I LIMITED MY DRIVING TO DAYTIME HOURS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 7, 2015, THE HIGH BEAM LIGHT ON THE DRIVER SIDE WENT OUT. I REPLACED BOTH DIM HEADLIGHTS ON DECEMBER 9, 2015 SINCE WE HAD A TRIP PLANNED THAT WOULD INVOLVE SOME NIGHTTIME DRIVING. THE DIM LIGHT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WENT OUT WITHIN 24 HOURS AND THE OTHER DIM LIGHT WENT OUT ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2015. I HAVE MENTIONED THIS PROBLEM TO TWO DIFFERENT GM DEALERSHIPS, BOTH OF WHICH ADVISED ME TO PAY TO HAVE THE CAR DIAGNOSED. NEITHER OF THE DEALERSHIPS SEEMED CONCERNED THAT THERE MIGHT BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND BOTH DECLINED TO NOTIFY GM OF THE PROBLEM ON MY BEHALF. *JS

THE FAILURE RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT A STRONG FUEL ODOR EMITTED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE NEAR THE REAR SEATS AND TRUNK AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN DRIVEN TO AN AUTO PART STORE FOR ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE ATTENDANT AT THE STORE STATED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER WAS FAILING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

THE SENSORS IN MY VEHICLE DOESN'T WORK! I ALWAYS GET A SERVICE ALARM SAYING CHECK PASSENGER AIR BAG THE PASSENGER SEATBELT INDICATOR COMES ON WHEN THERE'S A PASSENGER THEREAND THE SEATBELT IS ON. ALSO MYSTEERING WHEEL IS CRAZY, MY SIGNALS DOESN'T WORK WELL BECAUSEMY STEERING WHEEL STAYS AT A 90 ANGLE AFTER HAVING AN ALIGNMENT. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE I HAVEHEARD HAS THESE PROBLEMS. IN THE INCIDENT OF AN ACCIDENT, DEATH, ETC. IBELIEVE THECOMPANY SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE. ONE DAY I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE SEATBELT AND AIRBAG PROBLEM, BY A PONTIAC DEALERSHIP, NOW NO ONE KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT CAN RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY AND ESPECIALLY DEATH.
I WAS DRIVING HOME GOING 65 MPH DOWN A MAJOR HIGHWAY ON A CLEAR WARM NIGHT. ALL OF A SUDDEN MY 2007 PONTIAC G6 PULLED TO THE RIGHT AND I COULDN'T CORRECT IT. WHEN THE CAR FINALLY RESPONDED, I WAS THROWN ACROSS THE HIGHWAY INTO THE DIVIDER CABLES. MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND THE ENTIRE FRONT END WAS CRUSHED. THANK GOODNESS I WAS NOT AROUND ANY OF THE SEMI-TRUCKS THAT CAME UP OVER THE SMALL HILL BEHIND ME ONCE I LIMPED THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED AND INSURANCE TOTALLED IT OUT WITHOUT ANY TESTING DONE. AFTER READING ON THIS SITE, IT'S SAD TO SEE THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. THANK GOD I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED.

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WAS A A STOP ON A 2 WAY STREET GETTING READY TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND A SUV HITS US FROM BEHIND AND SEND ME FORWARD WITH MY RIGHT ARM SLAMMING INTO DASHBOARD OF CAR WITH A STRAINED TENDON IN MY SHOULDER SHOULDER. CALLED GM AND THEY STATE THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM ON MY CAR WAS FIXED DURING OUR VISIT FOR ANOTHER RECALL IN JAN 2014 HOWEVER WE WERE IN AN ACCIDENT FOR THE SAME ISSUE THEY SAID THEY FIXED!
THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLAMP. IT WAS OUT, SO I REPLACED THE BULB IN JUNE 2015. TWO MONTHS LATER, IT WAS OUT AGAIN, SO I BOUGHT A NEW BULB, THINKING THE FIRST WAS PURCHASED DEFECTIVE. I REPLACED THE BULB FOR THE SECOND TIME, AND ABOUT A WEEK LATER I NOTICED IT WAS OUT AGAIN. THEN BEGAN SUSPECTING ANOTHER PROBLEM. I SEE GM JUST RECALLED SEVERAL ADDITIONAL MAKES AND MODELS FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT THE PONTIAC G6 WAS NOT A PART OF ANY OF THE RECALLS. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THE G6 IS A PART OF THIS ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE RECALL.
MY PONTIAC G6 HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE I GOT IT. THERE IS A VIOLENT SHAKE IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND PONTIAC DOES HAVE OPEN RECALLS FOR THE ISSUE I AM HAVING FOR INADEQUATE SUPPORT OF THE U-JOINTS AND STEERING SHAFT BUT MY CAR WAS NOT MANUFACTURED IN THE STATE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED. I ALSO PERIODICALLY LOSE POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING WHICH IS ALSO ANOTHER RECALL BUT AGAIN PONTIAC SAYS MY CAR ISN'T AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR WE HAVE REPLACED PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE SUSPENSION AND BOUGHT NEW TIRES STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. WHEN IT DOES GO OUT COMPLETELY AND IT CAUSES ME TO HAVE A MAJOR CRASH I PRAY TO GOD MY KIDS ARE NOT IN THE CAR AND THAT I DON'T DIE OR HURT SOMEONE ELSE IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO GET THE CAR STOPPED. I DO A LOT OF DRIVING FOR MY JOB AND THE SHAKE JUST GETS WORSE AND WORSE PONTIAC SAID THEY COULD SET ME UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT FIXED WHICH I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS ISSUE JUST BECAUSE MY CAR WAS MADE IN A DIFFERENT STATE DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY USED DIFFERENT PARTS OR PUT IT TOGETHER A DIFFERENT WAY. THE PONTIAC G6 IS A HUNK OF JUNK I'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PONTIAC PRODUCT IN MY LIFE IF THIS ONE DOESN'T KILL ME. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS THIS PROBLEM AS I HAVE SEEN COUNTLESS THREADS DISCUSSING THE TOPIC ON G6PERFORMANCE.COM. THE SHAKING STARTS AT ABOUT 40MPH AND THE FASTER YOU GO TE WORSE IT BECOMES. PLEASE IF ANYTHING AT ALL CAN BE DONE TO HELP I CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP SINKING MONEY IN TO THIS CAR NOR CAN I AFFORD TO GET A NEW VEHICLE
WHILE DRIVE DOWN THE STREET THE CAR WAS GOING 45 AND JUST SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. UPON TRYING TO TURN THE CAR ON AFTER PUTTING IT IN PARK THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN BACK TO CONNECT TO START BACK UP . HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A AUTO SHOP AND THEY CHECKED THE CAR OUT AND SAID THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS PUMPING GAS TO START UP THE CAR. *TR
MY BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT ALUMINATE, OTHER VEHICLES ARE UNAWARE WHEN MY VEHICLE IS SLOWING DOWN OR STOPPED IN TRAFFIC.
TURNED LEFT GOING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH LOST POWER STEERING. CAR WAS HARD TO TURN AND LUCKILY I DIDN'T GO STRAIGHT INTO THE BRIDGE. DROVE APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER MILE TO GO HOME TURNED LEFT AGAIN AND LOST POWER STEERING MAKING THE CAR HARD TO TURN. THIS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND I CHECKED POWER STEERING FLUID LEVELS WHICH WERE OK. ONCE I RESTARTED THE CAR EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL AND HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS UNTIL YESTERDAY.(6/23/15) I CALLED PONTIAC TODAY(6/24/15) THEY STATED THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR MY CAR CONCERNING THE STEERING. I KNOW THERE WAS AN UPDATE IN FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR CONCERNING PONTIAC G6'S BUT I AM BEING TOLD MY CAR IS NOT IN THAT. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS ADDRESSED AND FIXED. I AM GOING TO SCHEDULE A DEALER TO LOOK AT THIS ISSUE AS SOON AS I CAN GET IT IN.

DURING OPERATION ALL SUPPORTING ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING FAILED, LEAVING DRIVER UNABLE TO STEER VEHICLE, I NOTE THAT OTHER VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SAME ISSUES DURING THE CLOSE PRODUCTION PERIOD. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS OFF, CAUSING THE CAR TO JERK AND SLOW AND BE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE, THIS WAS INTERMITTENT FOR 1 WEEK, THEN THE ABS, AIRBAG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS WOULD RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF, IN ANY ORDER, ONE OR TWO AT A TIME, THEN OFF THEN ANOTHER ONE OFF AND ON. I HAD A RECALL DONE ON THE BCM ISSUE LAST DECEMBER, YET WAS TOLD THIS WAS A SEPARATE ISSUE WITH THE OIL CONTROL CELENOID MODULE AND VERY COMMON IN THESE VEHICLES, WHICH I AM NOW PAYING TO REPAIR. REGARDING THE HEAD LAMPS THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, THE BULBS WOULD RANDOMLY GO OFF AND COME BACK ON ON EITHER SIDE, I WOULD CHANGE THE BULB AND IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. TODAY I DISCOVERED THIS WAS A "SERVICE BULLETIN" AND AM HAVING IT REPAIRED. HOWEVER, SINCE GM RECOGNIZES THIS IS A PROBLEM AND, HAS MADE NEW PART FOR THE ISSUE, I FEEL THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL. BOTH OF THESE ISSUES COULD HAVE COMPROMISED MY SAFETY AT ANY TIME, WHICH IS WHY I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED.

THE POWER STEERING LOST POWER WHILE I WAS IN A PARKING LOT. STEERING WAS BECAME MANUAL WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED AND THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIS HAPPENED ON 6/5/15 AND 6/12/15.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESS WAY, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER / SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL ALERT COMES ON..I HAVE AN 07 PONTIC G6 THAT KEEPS GIVING ME A "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" MESSAGE, THEN CUTS YOUR POWER AND YOU CAN'T DRIVE MORE THAN ABOUT 30 MPH. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS TO HAVE THE POWER GO FROM 70 MPH TO 30, IT KEEPS DOING THAT. I HAVE REPLACED THE GAS PEDDLE ($180) AND IT STILL DOES THAT, SO I AM HAVE THE THRODDLE BODY REPLACED, GOD KNOWS WHAT THAT IS GOING TO COST ME. IS THERE ANY RECALLS ON THIS HAPPENING TO OTHERS? LIKE I SAID, IT IS VERY DANGEROUR WHEN YOUR PULLING OUT IN FRONT OF CARS AND IT DOES THIS.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ONE DAY I NOTICED MY STEERING WHEEL START TO RATTLE WHILE SITTING STILL AT A RED LIGHT. LATER I BEGAN FEELING THE STEERING WHEEL JERK TO THE LEFT. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE ONLY GOTTEN WORSE AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. IT IS A STRUGGLE TO DRIVE TO WORK AND BACK TRYING TO KEEP MY CAR IN LINE. IT NOW SWERVES BOTH WAYS AND SOMETIMES WILL NOT GO STRAIGHT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO GM BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL. I HAVE READ ABOUT NUMEROUS OTHERS WITH THESE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS AND WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME SORT OF ANSWER.

AT ABOUT 60,000 MILES, IT ILLUMINATES ALMOST ALL THE TIME. NOTICED THAT ON SOME HOT DAYS OVER 105 DEGREES, THE LIGHT GOES OFF. CURRENTLY, ON CONSTANTLY. PHONED DEALERS AND ESTIMATES EXCEED $800 WITHOUT INSPECTION. OUTRAGEOUS. VEHICLE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS HUNDREDS OF OTHERS. GM CONTINUES TO IGNORE THE SAFETY OF THEIR CONSUMERS. I HAVE AN 07 PONTIAC G6 AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING BECAME VERY TIGHT, JERKY, AND HARD TO CONTROL. IT IS A MIRACLE I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE BUSY FREEWAY WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM OTHER G6 VEHICLES ARE HAVING AND MOST HAVE BEEN RECALLED IN CAMPAIGN 15V064000. THE 2007 AND MY VIN HAVE NOT BEEN RECALLED AND WHO BUT GM KNOWS WHY THEY ARE PUTTING PEOPLE IN DANGER. THERE ARE CLOSE TO 200 COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA ALONE WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME YEAR. WHY ON EARTH IS GM REFUSING TO REPAIR THESE CARS LIKE THEY ARE DOING ON OTHER YEARS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. THIS WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION TO ME, AND THE INNOCENT DRIVERS AROUND ME. GM NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES AND INCLUDE THE REST OF THE VIN NUMBERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE REST OF THE VEHICLES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED.
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON MY 2007 PONTIAC G6. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT LOW SPEEDS. IT WENT OUT REPEATEDLY. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL MORE THAN APPROXIMATELY 15 DEGREES. THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTENED BEFORE GOING OUT AND WAS FOLLOWED BY A VEHICLE ALERT THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS LOST. POWER STEERING WAS RECOVERED WHEN TURNING OFF THE CAR AND TURNING IT BACK ON. HOWEVER, STEERING CONTINUED TO GO OUT. IT HAS SINCE BEEN INTERMITTENT AND DOES NOT GO OUT ONCE EXCEEDING APPROX 15-20 MILES PER HOUR.
MY STEERING HOSE IS TOO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST SO IT BURNED THRU THE PROTECTIVE SLEEVE AND INTO THE HOSE CAUSING IT TO BURN AND ME LOSING POWER WHILE STEERING ALMOST GETTING IN TO AN ACCIDENT.
I HAVE HAD MANY RECALL PROBLEMS AND THE DEALER WILL NOT FIX THEM
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE RIGHT FRONT BREAK CALIPER LOCKED UP WITHOUT THE BRAKE BEING PRESSED. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN AND THE FRONT END WAS SHAKING VERY HARD. WE WERE IN THE FAST LANE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE BRAKE LOCKED UP, WHEN WE STOPPED THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE CALIPER WAS LOCKED IN PLACE AND SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE WHEEL. IT HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES. 4 OF THOSE TIMES WERE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY SHORTLY AFTER CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED. THE OTHER 2 TIMES WERE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET IN TOWN. PONTIAC WAS NOTIFIED THEY PAID FOR DIAGNOSTIC IN CASE IT WAS RELATED TO A RECENT RECALL BUT DID NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIRS.
I TURNED INTO A PARKING LOT NOT GOING NO MORE THAN 15 MPH AND MY TIRED BLEW AND BY THE TIRE BLOWING IT PULLED MY CAR INTO A POLE THAT BE IN THE PARKING LOTS AND AGAIN I WAS NOT GOING MORE THAN 15 MPH AND WHEN MY SIDE PASSENGERSIDE STRUCK THE POLE IT DEPLOYED MY AIR BAGS. NOTED THE CAR WAS NOT HIT IN THE FRONT NOR DAMAGED TO WHERE THE AIRBAGS WERE SUPPOSE TO COME OUT. BEFORE THAT WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR MY AIRBAG SERVICE AIR BAGS LIGHTS WOULD COME ON. AND IF I HAVE A PASSENGER SITTIN IN THE PASSENGERSIDE SEAT IT WOULD READ THAT NO ONE IS IN THE SEAT AND THE AIR BAG WOULD BE OFF THEN IF YOU RIDE FOR AWHILE IT WOULD POP BACK ON. BUT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYING CAUSED GREAT AMOUNT OF PAIN TO MY HUSBAND FACE AND MY CHEST AREA.

WHEN MAKING TURNS LEFT OR RIGHT THE STEERING IS STIFFING AND MAKES IT VERY HARD TO TURN AND MAKES A LOUD NOISE
AFTER MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN, SPEEDOMETER QUIT WORKING AND TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO BE IN A STALLED STATE, HOWEVER IT THEN JERKED HARD AND POWER RESUMED. THIS CONTINUED FOR THE NEXT 2 MILES UNTIL I ARRIVED AT MY STOPPING POINT. ODOMETER THEN DISPLAYED ERROR. AFTER THE CAR SAT FOR 2.5 HOURS, I STARTED CAR TO RETURN HOME. ODOMETER DISPLAYED ERROR, BUT ONCE I SHIFTED TO DRIVE ERROR WENT AWAY. DROVE 3.5 MILES, ONCE SPEED DROPPED FROM 30 MPH DOWN TO 20, TRANSMISSION WENT TO A STALLED STATE AGAIN AND THEN BEGAN JERKING HARD AGAIN WITH POWER SURGES. *TR

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.

THE VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE THE SAME FAULTY FUEL PUMP RETURN LINE FOUND IN SIMILAR GM VEHICLES FOR THAT YEAR. SURPRISINGLY, THE G6 WAS OMITTED FROM THE RECALL ALTHOUGH THE SAME FAULTY PART POSES A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. ON 04/04/2015 THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LEAK FUEL FROM THE FUEL PUMP LINE - RELEASING HARMFUL GASOLINE VAPOR INTO THE AIR THAT MAY - GIVEN THE RIGHT CONDITIONS - POTENTIALLY IGNITE. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE AND MY CONSUMER CONCERNS TO A LOCAL GMC DEALERSHIP AND CONTACTED GM DIRECTLY. UNFORTUNATELY, GM WILL NOT RESPONSIBLY REPAIR THE FLAWED PART AT THEIR EXPENSE - GIVING DEALERSHIPS THE LEVERAGE TO INSIST THAT OWNERS PAY FOR GM'S FLAWED FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM THAT SOMEHOW EVADED THE RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE. GIVEN THE BILLIONS OF TAXPAYING DOLLARS THAT GM WAS GIVEN ONE WOULD EXPECT MORE FROM THE AUTOMAKER. *TR
