ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING GOING OUT ON 2007 G6. GM SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL FOR HIS VIN BUT IT IS LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE. THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX IT. *TR
HEADLAMP WIRING IS DEFECTIVE FROM THE FACTORY. HEADLAMP WIRING AND CONNECTORS BURN OUT DUE TO INABILITY TO WITHSTAND HEAT GENERATED BY NORMAL FACTORY HEADLAMP BULBS. THIS IS A WIDELY KNOWN PROBLEM. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS EXIST ON THIS SITE, IN ADDITION TO SERVICE BULLETINS. EVERY MECHANIC IN TOWN, DEALERSHIP, BODY SHOP, ETC. SAYS THE SAME THING. "UNTIL THEY ISSUE A RECALL, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO BUT KEEP CHARGING YOU TO FIX THE CONNECTOR." I HAVE PAID THREE TIMES TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED AND MY CAR HAS 62,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN WILL SOMEONE INVESTIGATE THIS AND ISSUE A PROPER RECALL? IT IS NOT SAFE TO HAVE YOUR HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY GO OUT WHEN DRIVING 75 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. *TR
CRACKED 90 ELBOW ON FUEL PUMP, LEAKS FUEL ON TOP OF TANK AND ONTO EXHAUST. *TR
I STARTED THE CAR AND THERE WAS A MESSAGE ON RADIO DISPLAY THAT SAID POWER STEERING. WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE WHEEL IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. PLEASE ADD MY VEHICLE TO THE RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE AT APPROXIMATELY 2 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE STEERING RESERVOIR WAS REPLACED PREVIOUSLY DUE TO A LEAK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,318.
MY DAUGHTER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON 3/27/2015. SHE TBONED ANOTHER CAR TOTALING MY CAR. THE FRONT END WAS SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. SHE SUSTAINED A NECK AND HEAD INJURY. NOTHING MAJOR BUT COULD HAVE BEEN MORE SERIOUS. ESIS SAID THEY WILL NOT PERSUE MY CLAIM WITH THEM ANY FURTHER AS I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PROOF THAT THEIR PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICTOR ILLUMINATED. UPON RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN ROAD AT ABOUT 55MPH, A "POWER STEERING" MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER AND A CHIME SOUNDED. STEERING CONTROL WAS THEN MANUAL AND I HAD TO EXERT GREAT FORCE TO STEER AT LOWER SPEEDS. I FIGURED RIGHT AWAY THAT MY POWER STEERING HAD GONE OUT SINCE I COULD NOT TURN EASILY. I IMMEDIATELY CHOSE TO PULL OVER TO AVOID PUTTING MYSELF OR ANYONE ELSE AT HARM. SINCE THEN, THE POWER STEERING GOES IN AND OUT. IT HAS HAPPENED AT ALL SPEEDS (PARKED AT 0MPGH, AT 70MPH, AT 25MPH, ETC.). IT IS NOT SAFE AND I AM HOPING NHTSA CAN HELP ME GET THIS RESOLVED. I HAVE TAKEN EXTREMELY GOOD CARE OF MY VEHICLE WHICH HAS 120,000 MILES ON IT AND HAVE A PERFECT DRIVING RECORD. I SEARCHED FOR A RECALL VIA MY VIN # ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT GM ISN'T RECALLING THE POWER STEERING ON MY VEHICLE. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY SINCE THERE IS A RECALL FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER TYPE OF PONTIAC G6, INCLUDING 2007. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GET THIS FIXED RIGHT NOW AND DON'T WANT TO PUT MYSELF OR OTHERS AT HARM. *TR
I AM THE 2ND OWNER TO A G6 HAVE NOTICED SINCE ABOUT A MONTH OR SO AFTER PURCHASING VEHICLE THAT WHEN TURNING AT SLOW SPEEDS THERE IS A CLANKING/BANGING NOISE. HAVE NOTICED SEVERAL OTHERS MENTION OF THIS SAME ISSUE. NOW IT SHOWS OBVIOUS RECALL FOR THE U JOINT FOR THIS VEHICLE, YET BOTH DEALERSHIPS AND PONTIAC ARE ONLY SAYING IT IS VIN SPECIFIC WHICH TO ME IS A CROCK OF (YOU FILL IN). THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH THIS YET THEY WANT TO DO NOTHING. GUESS MAJOR ACCIDENTS OR DEATH MUST NEED TO RESULT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FIX THE ISSUE. ALSO AT JUST ANY RANDOM TIME THE AIRBAG WARNING WILL JUST POP UP ON MY DASHBOARD. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN NO ACCIDENTS, SO THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON TO THAT JUST RANDOMLY "POPPIGN UP" I WILL BE MAKING FORMAL COMPLAINTS TO BBB AND NATIONAL SAFETY WEBSITE. IF YOU POST A RECALL FOR A VEHICLE, IT IS NOT VIN SPECIFIC AS THEY ARE ALL USING THE SAME PARTS. COME ON GM WE ARE NOT IDIOTS HERE!!!!!
ON MY WAY INTO WORK THIS MORNING, THE WARNING FOR "POWER STEERING" FLASHED ON MY CAR AND THE STEERING SUDDENLY QUIT WORKING ON MY 2007 PONTIAC G6. I WAS GOING ABOUT 40 MPH ON A STRAIGHT STRETCH THROUGH TOWN. LUCKILY, I HADN'T MERGED TO GET ON THE INTERSTATE YET. TOOK THE CAR TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED ME IT'S THE TORQUE SENSOR ON THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2006-2007 PONTIAC G6'S, BUT THAT MY CAR/VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL AS IT WAS BUILT OUTSIDE OF THE BATCH OF CARS THE RECALL COVERED. I HAVE TO PAY $230 OUT OF POCKET UNTIL THEY DECIDE THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE. THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS FOR ALL DRIVERS ON THE HIGHWAY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK ABNORMALLY. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO RANDOMLY ILLUMINATE AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
STEERING WHEEL LOCKED WHILE DRIVING, "POWER STEERING" FLASHED ACROSS THE DASHBOARD, I HAD TO TRY AND AVOID OTHER CARS AND SLOW DOWN WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL WITH ALL OF MY STRENGTH, BUT IT WOULD BARELY MOVE AND THE CAR VEERED LEFT STILL. *TR

THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
JUST BOUGHT A USED 2007 PONTIAC G6 AND IN DOING SO WHEN I DROVE IT THEN PARKED A STRONG SMELL OF GAS WAS COMING FROM RIGHT SID, TOOK THE CAR TO GET A LOOK OVER, IT HAS A FUEL LEAK. NEEDS A FUEL PUMP. *TR

THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESET THE COMPUTER, WHICH RESET THE CODE FOR THE POWER STEERING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE OR DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V064000 (STEERING) AND 14E044000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.

THE ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTING IT, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE. AS A RESULT, THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE STEERING CONTROL MODULE. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V064000 (STEERING) AND 14E044000(STEERING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,900.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE RESTART THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE RESUME NORMAL STEERING FUNCTION. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
I HAVE PREVIOUSLY FILED A COMPLAINT AND WAS TOLD BY THE PONTIAC CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM AT #1-800-762-2737. MY CAR HAS LESS THAN 50,000 MILES AND IT A 2007 PONTIAC G6. I FOUND A RECALL ON THE WEBSITE, RECALL# 14772, WHICH IS AN EXPANSION RECALL FROM THE ORIGINAL RECALL 14V-153. PONTIAC IS STATING THAT ONLY VIN NUMBER CARS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN APRIL 18,2006-JUNE 30,2006 ARE COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL. PONTIAC AGREED TO PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC AND IT WAS DETERMINED BY JAKE SWEENY WHICH PONTIAC ADVISED ME TO TAKE THE CAR TO. JAKE SWEENY INDICATED IT WAS THE TORQUE SENSOR. I THEN, CALLED BACK PONTIAC TO ADVISE THEM WHAT THE DIAGNOSTIC OUTCOME AND PONTIAC STATED THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR UNDER THE RECALL. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AS I HAVE READ THERE ARE OVER 69,000 COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE AND I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT PONTIAC CAN JUSTIFY THAT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT RELATED TO THIS RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I BELIEVE UNDER MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY (TITLE 49, CHAPTER 301) THIS IS A SAFETY AND RISK ISSUE. *TR
WHEN I TURNED THE VEHICLE ON THE POWER STEERING WAS NO LONGER WORKING. I TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK OFF AND IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN THAN ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE WAS VERY HARD TO DRIVE. I TOOK IT TO SHOP AND THEY SAID IT HAD A RECALL ON IT IT WAS THE TORQUE SENSOR AND THAT I SHOULD CONTACT PONTIAC. I DID AND THEY SAID THAT MY CAR'S VIN NUMBER WASN'T LISTED AND EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PROBABLY A DEFECT THAT THEY COULDN'T HELP ME AND IT COST $358.00 TO FIX. *TR
THE POWER STEERING WOULD NOT WORK UPON STARTING THE CAR AND WE WOULD NEED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN TO GET THE POWER STEERING TO WORK. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OF THIS HAPPENING MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND THE POWER STEERING COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. WE CONTACTED GM TO SEE IF OUR CAR WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT THEY SAID OUR VIN NUMBER WAS NOT AND THAT WE WOULD NEED TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. SO INDEED THAT IS WHAT WE DID BUT WE ARE QUITE UNHAPPY THAT WE HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM INDICATED ON THE RECALL BUT WE NEED TO PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE OUR VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED. *TR
DRIVING AND LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND EPS LIGHT AND CHIME. *TR
LAST WEEK I WAS EXPERIENCING SHAKING IN MY STEERING WHEEL AND KNOCKING SOUNDS ON FRIDAY. MY CAR PRETTY MUCH SAT ALL WEEKEND, I WENT TO GO BACK OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY FOR WORK AND NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REALLY HARD TO TURN AND MY STEERING WHEEL NOTICE CAME UP ON RADIO DASH. I PULLED BACK INTO MY DRIVEWAY TURNED OFF CAR. I PULLED OUT MY MANUAL AND WAS CHECKING TO SEE IF I NEEDED STEERING WHEEL FLUID AND IT WAS IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL COLUMN. I TURNED CAR BACK ON TO CHECK IT AGAIN AND IT WAS FREE AGAIN AND COULD TURN WITH OUT ALOT OF PRESSURE. I PROCEEDED TO WORK AND STARTED TO CALL AROUND TO SHOPS. I NOTICED ONLINE THAT THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE. I DO NOT HAVE ALOT OF MILES ON MY CAR FOR THE YEAR AND HAVE SEEN SIMILAR/IF NOT THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS OCCURRING WITH OTHER OWNERS WHEN I READ COMPLAINTS ON LINE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER:15V064000 (STEERING). THE STEERING MAKES A CLUNKIN NOISE. IT TURNS BACK AND FOURTH BY ITSELF WHEN DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED.SOME TIMES WHEN I START THE CAR THE RADIO SAYS POWER STEERING WHEN I START THE CAR.WHEN THESE PROBLEMS HAPPEN I TURN THE CAR OFF OPEN DOOR SO THE RADIO GOES OFF THAN START IT AND THAN IT WORKS FINE UNTIL IT SITS TURNED OFF FOR A LITTLE WHILE.SOMETIMES I'LL HAVE TO TURN CAR OFF AND ON ABOUT FIVE TIMES BEFORE IT WORKS.I HAVE READ THAT PONTIAC G6 S FROM 2006 THROUGH 2007 HAVE A STEERING RECALL FOR THE STEERING TORQUE SENSOR BUT I GAVE GM MY VIN AND THEY SAID MY CAR DOESN'T HAVE THAT RECALL.SO I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE OTHER RECALLS TAKEN CARE OF AND TO CHECK MY STEERING AND THEY SAID IT IS THE TORQUE SENSOR.WHY IS IT THE SAME SENSOR AS THE OTHER G6S WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS THEY HAVE RECALLS AND MINE IS NOT UNDER RECALL.IT COST ME 600$.I MUST PAY BECAUSE IT'S VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 PONTIAC G6 WHEN I HEARD ABUT THE RECALL I TYPED MY VIN# INTO THIS WESITE AND IT SHOWED MY CAR WASNT UNDER THIS RECALL , HOWEVER MY POWER STEERING IS DOING THE SAME THING THAT IS LISTED UNDER THE RECALL. WHEN STARTING THE CAR THE STEERING IS VERY LOOSE THEN OUT OF NO WHERE WHILE DRIVING IT TIGHTENS UP AND BARELY ALLOWS U TO MAKE TURNS. THIS HAS HAPPEND WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AS WELL AS WELL AS CITY STREETS. IM NOT SURE WHY 2006-2009 MODELS ARE UNDER RECALL FOR THIS PARTICULAR BUT APPARENTLY WHLIE RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM THE 2007 MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS I TOOK TO A A GM CERTIFIED DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I CAN $850 TO HAVE FIXED .. CLEARLY I DONT HAVE THAT TYPE OF MONEY AND WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY WHEN ITS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES FOR WHY THE G6 HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR FURTHER MORE WHY MY MAIN QUESTION IS WHY THE 2007 MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED WHEN CLEARLY ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE.. I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TWITCHING. IT IS NOT FAIR I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF $675 WHEN THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND FOR WHATEVER REASON GM HAS EXCLUDED MY VIN NUMBER. LOSS OF ALL POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING DISPLAYED ON DISPLAY SCREEN. LOSS OF POWER STEERING MADE IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THIS ISSUE COULD DEFINITELY CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SO WHY IS MY VEHICLE NOT INCLUDED?!?! I HAD THIS ISSUE FIXED TODAY. ANOTHER ISSUE THAT ALSO JUST STARTED HAPPENING IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS IS MY PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL INTERMITTENTLY WILL NOT WORK. THE AIRBAG DISPLAY WILL SHOW ON MY DASH BOARD AND IT WILL SHOW THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OFF. THIS LIGHT COMES AT RANDOM TIMES WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS SOMEONE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I ALSO HAD THIS DIAGNOSED AT THE GM DEALERSHIP. THE SAID IT WAS MY PPS (PASSENGER PRESENCE SYSTEM) THIS ALSO NEEDS A NEW SENSOR AND IT WILL COST $700 TO FIX!!!! THERE IS SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THIS FOR MY CAR SO THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY AWARE THAT THIS A COMMON PROBLEM. THE SERVICE TECH AT GM SAID THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH THIS (NO KIDDING) AND THAT IF THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS DISPLAYED ON THE DASH NONE OF MY AIRBAGS WILL DEPLOY. LETS HOPE THAT GM DOES NOT DRAG THEIR FEET ON THIS, ALL SOMEONE NEEDS IS TO LOOSE THEIR POWER STEERING, CRASH, AND HAVE NO AIRBAGS DEPLOY. I STARTED MY CAR AND MY AIRBAG SENSOR LIT UP ON MY DASHBOARD AND ON MY STEREO SCREEN IT SAID "SERVICE AIR BAG". THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY PASSENGER AIR BAG WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JUNE 2014 BUT THEY SAID THEY HAD IT RESET BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. ALSO, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME AT STOP LIGHTS THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON WHILE I AM DRIVING AND OFF WHILE I AM STOPPED. WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST STARTED 50% OF THE TIME YOU WILL HAVE NO POWER STEERING AT ALL. AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES YOU WILL REGAIN YOUR POWER STEERING. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE POWER STEERING WILL FAIL SOMETIMES SOONER THEN OTHER TIMES. THIS CAN MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE CHECKED FOR A POWER STEERING RECALL ON MY CAR AND AT THIS POINT HAVE NOT REVIVED ONE. I HAVE CHECKED ALL POSSIBLE CAUSES AND HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO A FEW SHOPS AND THEY ALL TELL ME I NEED A NEW STEERING COLUMN. MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT IS NOT CHEAP THE FIX. WE FIRST STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE 2 WEEKS AGO. STARTED THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR CAME ON AND WE HAD NO POWER STEERING. WE SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WORKED. IT WOULD WORK OFF AND ON FOR AWHILE BUT AS OF THE LAST FEW DAYS THERE IS NO POWER STEERING AT ALL. I CALLED GM. THEY ARE SAYING OUR VIN IS NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS A BUNCH OF CRAP. THE 2007 G6'S WERE ADDED FOR THIS PROBLEM JUST A COUPLE WEEKS AGO. I SEE THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND GM NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE THERE ARE MORE CRASHES OR DEATHS FROM THIS ISSUE. IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
