The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the rear sub frame had an excessive amount of rust. The vehicle was not repaired due to the rear wheel assembly detaching from the excessive amount of rust. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle remained at the residence and had not been driven since the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 165,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Pontiac Torrent. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the air bag warning light illuminated while the front passenger seat was not occupied. The vehicle was diagnosed and a failure code for the passenger presence system (PPS) was retrieved. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V061000 (Air Bags) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not yet taken to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
Service air bag light continually goes on and of randomly, at times does not recognize when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. This is a serious problem because when air bag light is on it disables the air bags which won’t deploy in a crash. I found that they recall the 2007 models for this exact problem, Now is the time to recall the 2008 for the exact same problem. This is a dealer only part which they gave me an estimate to fix of $900 if I could get a aftermarket part I would replace myself. Come on Gm recall this ongoing serious safety hazard!!!!

The contact was seated at the front passenger side and the air bag did not deploy but the front driver side air bag did deploy. The contact stated the driver had a laceration on his right arm and she had lacerations on the top right forehead, lip, and right nostril. The contact stated they both sought medical attention and she was needing cosmetic surgery for her nose. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact stated she the insurance deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON
THE VEHICLES AIRBAG SYSTEM WAS INTERMITTENT ON SHOWING THE AIRBAG LIGHT (SERVICE AIRBAG SOON). ALSO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES FROM ON TO OFF PERIODICALLY AND NOW LATER ON MONTHS LATER THE SYSTEM ALWAYS STAYS ON OFF EVEN WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE READ ABOUT OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE ON THEIR 2007 MODEL TORRENTS AND THEY HAVE A TSB FOR A RECALL ON THIS. HOWEVER MY 2008 TORRENT DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL? THIS IS UNSAFE, TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON TO PAY TO FIX, AND A PROBLEM GM SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO FIX FOR USING FAULTY SRS COMPONENTS.
Electrical problems have been occurring. My lights keep getting dim, then bright. Check engine light is on, the truck is making a loud noise, overheating, battery draining fast. Please note that the battery is new, starter is new, water pump is new , I got new engine fans, radiator and the truck is still running hot, battery dies over night. I need some help this is my only vehicle and I've spent thousands of dollars trying to get this truck right over the years. Are there any affordable warranty plans available for assistance?
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN, IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED ON THEIR OWN. THE SERVICE STABILTRAK LIGHT BLINKS, STABILITRAK OFF, AND TRACTION CONTROL OFF FLASH. IT FEELS AS IF THE WHEELS DO NOT SLOW AT THE SAME TIME. THE VEHICLE MAKES AN AWFUL NOISE.

MY VEHICLE HAS A SERVICE AIR BAG CODE. THE AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AN OFF WHEN SOMEONE IS RIDING IN THE SEAT, CAR IS IN MOTION. THIS IS HAPPENING ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. IT HAPPENS DRIVING STRAIGHT AND TURNING. I OWN OTHER PONTAICS THAT HAD THE RECALL WITH THE SAME ISSUE, WHY IS THERE NO RECALL TO REPAIR AN PROBLEM THAT IS GM MISTAKE. THIS IS UNSAFE FOR ANY FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. RECALL!
VEHICLE WITH AROUND 100K. TRACTION CONTROL HAS BEEN DISABLED FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS FOR NO REASON. GOES OFF SPORADICALLY. NOW VEHICLE IS OVERHEATING FOR NO REASON. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS OF HEADGASKET. OIL IS CLEAN, OVERFLOW IS FULL, NO LEAKS TO BE SEEN. OVERHEATS MOSTLY WHEN STANDING IDLE. VEHICLE IS A HEADACHE. HOW ARE THERE NO RECALLS FOR THIS VEHICLE WHEN MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE STATING THE SAME ISSUES? VEHICLE IS DRIVING NORMALLY BESIDES THAT. MOST OF OUR DRIVING IS IN TOWN / HIGHWAY DRIVING (LESS THAN 20MILES DISTANCE). WE'VE ONLY PUT 10K ON THE VEHICLE SINCE PURCHASING 2 YEARS AGO.

THE CONTACT (WHO WAS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC) STATED THAT THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE FAILED AND SHUT OFF THE ABS. ALSO, THE DISABLE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EGR VALVE FAILURE SHOULD NOT HAVE SHUT OFF THE ABS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE EGR VALVE AND REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
POWER WINDOW AND LOCKS STOPPED WORKING. WIRING HARNESS FROM DRIVERS DOOR TO BODY HAD SEVERAL BROKEN WIRES. HARNESS IS TOO SHORT AND WIRE IS UNDERSIZED FOR APPLICATION AND HARD, CRACKED AND BROKEN. OTHER DOORS WILL LIKELY MALFUNCTION.8
NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL LOOKED UNDERNEATH CAR AND REALIZED THERE IS A GAS LEAK COMING FROM THE GAS TANK AREA. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF GAS POURING OUT . AS I HAVE READ ON OTHER YEAR MODELS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM!
200 PONTIAC TORRENT ..SNOW MELTED AND THE WATER LEAKED INTO THE FUSE BOX AND IMITATED A FIRE .IT SHORTED OUT THE SYSTEM CAUGHT FIRE I. WHICH FIRE GUARD DID NOT PROTECT AND THE CAR WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED .IT BURNED RIGHT THRU THE WINDSHIELD INTO THE INSIDE OF DASH .FIREMEN WERE CALLED .VEHICLE IS DESTROYED.VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY .WE WERE WOKEN AT 1:00 A.M YO OUR VEHIVHLE FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES.

MY CAR HAS THROWN A CODE FOR SERVICE AIR BAG AND WHEN IN MOTION WITH SOMEONE OVER SO MUCH WEIGHT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT WILL COME ON AND OFF. SOMETIMES EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS IN THE SEAT AND IT'S JUST A BAG OR A WALLET THE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RECALL FOR MY MODEL AND I'VE READ SEVERAL POSTS WITH THIS PROBLEM. WHEN WILL THERE BE A RECALL FOR THIS. $900 IS NO WHAT I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN MY OWN CAR OR WITH MY CHILDREN IN IT.
MY VEHICLE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED IN THE LAST 9 TO 12 MONTHS, HOWEVER THE "SERVICE THEBAIR BAG" LIGHT IS ACTIVATED ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE LIGHT ACTIVATION IS SPORATIC EVEN WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT OR NOT. I UNDERSTAND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SAME MODEL FOR THE YEAR OF 2007FOR REPLACEMENT OF A FAULTY SENSOR. . THIS RECALL SHOULD COVER AT LEAST THE 2008 PONTIAC TORRENT AS THIS IS ALSO A POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS (SAFETY ISSUE) CONDITION OF THE AIR BAG MAY OR MAY NOT BE DEPLOYED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
PAINT IS "FLAKING" OFF THE AREA ABOVE REAR PASSENGER DOOR, JUST BELOW THE ROOF. NOTICED THIS PROBLEM JUNE 30, 2018.
WHEN FILLING UP CAR WITH GAS, GAS WAS PROFUSELY LEAKING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP 6 MONTHS PRIOR. WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT IN THE FUEL NECK AND PONTIAC IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, AND HAS A NEW 'KIT' THAT CAN BE INSTALLED ON CARS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY. OUT OF POCKET REPAIR COST IS $670.

THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CHECK THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

IN ADDITION, WHILE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED AND TRAVELING ON BUMPY ROADS, THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO THE POINT OF POTENTIALLY STALLING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE TWICE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURES CONTINUED. ALSO, THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES FAILED TO ILLUMINATE, AT TIMES, DURING THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND HAD NOT ISSUED ANY RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
STRONG GAS SMELL COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR AND POSSIBLE WET SPOT ON THE UNDERSIDE. WE ARE WAITING TO HEAR FROM A MECHANIC. THE CAR HAS JUST UNDER 35,500 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS KIND OF A PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.

"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. IT FIRST STARTED WITH MY CAR SLOWING DOWN, DIDN'T MATTER HOW HARD YOU PRESS THE GAS IT WILL NOT MOVE. THEN AFTER LETTING IT SET OF A MINUTE/COOLDOWN, IT WILL RIDE FOR A FEW MILES THEN COMPLETE STOP WITH THE ENGINE STILL RUNNING. I NOTICE A HOT SMELL COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND STABILITRACK STATE THAT IT NEEDS SERVICE. WHEN I DRIVE IT THE BRAKES STOP THE CAR ON ITS OWN. I TOOK THE CAR TO GMC AND IT COST ME $1700 FOR THEM TO FIX BRAKE PRESSURE MODULE, BRAKE ELECTRIC CONTROL PANEL, I REPLACED HUB BEARINGS AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. SINCE THOSE THINGS WERE REPLACED, I CAN DRIVE A LITTLE LONGER WITHOUT THE HUB BEARINGS. I TOOK MY CAR TO GMC 3 TIMES. AND MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND THEY SAID THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED, HOW WHEN IT WAS NEVER USED.

MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHEN THE FRONT SEAT IS USED AS SOON AS THE PERSON MOVES THEIR BUTT AROUND AND ALSO MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY GOING ON AND OFF FOR NO REASON. THE 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT GOT A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAGS AND SO SHOULD THE 2008'S THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT SAFE IF AN ACCIDENT WAS TO HAPPEN.. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SITTON BUICK GMC 2640 LAURENS RD, GREENVILLE, SC 29607 WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SITTON BUICK GMC WHERE THE DEALER WAS AGAIN UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE RECURRED AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SITTON BUICK GMC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC MODULATOR HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ONCE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO SITTON BUICK GMC WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR DOESN'T WORK. IT DOESN'T RECONIZE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CHILD AND AN ADULT. THIS HAPPENS WHEATHER MOVING OR SITTING STILL. THIS HAS BEEN MESSED UP FOR A LONG TIME. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE ITS PARKED, OR ON ANY TYPE STREET. I'VE HAD IT CHECKED AND THE REPAIR MAN SAID HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT.
MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY IN A FRONT END AND REAR END COLLISON WHERE I WAS HIT AT A DEAD STOP AND THE TRUCK WAS GOING 60 MPH. CAR WAS REPAIRED BY GEICO REPAIR SHOP IN TAMPA, FL. THE AIR BAGS STILL DON'T WORK AND THE LIGHT STILL OFF AND ON WHETHER SOMEONE IS SITTING THERE OR NOT. THE DEALER WILL REPAIR FOR TOTAL OF $900.00 OR MORE. I RECENTLY SMELLED FUEL STRONG IN THE CAR AND OUTSIDE. TOOK TO DEALER AND I SEE OTHERS COMPLAINING TOO ABOUT THIS. NO NE INFORMED OWNERS THAT THERE IS A SPECIAL WARRANTY TO REPAIR PART OF THE PROBLEM FOR FREE. THE FUEL PUMP WAS CRACKED WITH ONLY 43K MILES ON VEHICLE. THE VENT SOLENOID WAS NOT COVERED YET IT IS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION AND DEFECTIVE BUT I HAD BEEN CHARGED EXTRA 302.00 AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE IN THE RECALLS? BOTH OF THESE ITEMS WERE FOUND DEFECTIVE BUT ONLY ONE WAS RECALLED PRIVATELY. UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY BRING TO DEALER YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE SPECIAL RECALL WARRANTY OFFERED. THIS TO ME IS FRAUD TO THE CONSUMER!!!! HAD VEHICLE FROM 11-7 TO 11-12 AND THE RENTAL CAR I PAID FOR NOT DEALER.
I WANTED TO ADD TO ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR. WE KEEP GETTING NOTIFICATION THAT IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED WHICH COSTS UPWARDS OF $900. AT FIRST THE LIGHT JUST KEPT SWITCHING ON AND OFF WHENEVER THE PASSENGER WOULD SHIFT IN THE SEAT BUT NOW IT SAYS THAT IT'S NOT ACTIVATED ALL THE TIME AND WE BELIEVE IT'S A FAULTY SENSOR. THE 2007 MODEL WAS RECALLED FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE AND THE 2008 SHOULD BE AS WELL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR SURE AND WITH SO MANY COMPLAINTS ACROSS THE BOARD BY OWNERS OF THIS CAR IT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF AT NO EXPENSE TO THE OWNER. THE MANUFACTURER HAS PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS IN DANGER.
HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG SENSOR IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. LIGHT IS ON MOST OF THE TIME WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST $800-$900 TO FIX. (ON TOP OF MY $92.00 JUST TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT). MANY SAME MODELS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON, AIRBAGS WILL NOT WORK. GREAT SAFETY ISSUE!!! SHOULD BE RECALLED.
I HAVE A FUEL LEAK ON MY 2008 PONTIAC TORRENT. BASICALLY RECALL NUMBER 12V459000 FOR THE 2007 TORRENT. THE PLASTIC SUPPLY OR RETURN PORT ON THE FUEL PUMP MODULE MAY CRACK, WHICH COULD CAUSE A FUEL LEAK. MY YEAR VEHICLE IS NOT LISTED ON THE RECALL, WHEN IT SHOULD BE. THIS IS MY EXACT PROBLEM.THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN MORE THAN JUST THE 2007 TORRENT. THE FIX IS OVER $700. I SMELLED GAS THROUGH THE VENTS WHILE DRIVING, NOTICED SOME JERKING OR "SKIPPING" IN THE GAS PETAL BEING PUSHED. I PARKED AND THE GAS SMELL WAS VERY STRONG. IT IS DRIPPING FROM THE BACK BY THE GAS TANK AND ALSO UP BY THE ENGINE. MY MECHANIC SAID THAT THE LEAK IS FROM THE PLASTIC PIECES ON THE FUEL PUMP AND THE LEAK IS ACTUALLY RUNNING DOWN THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK DEPENDING ON IF I'M GOING DOWNHILL OR TURNING. HE ADVISES ME NOT TO DRIVE MY TRUCK.
MY 2008 PONTAIC TORRENT FRONT DOOR AND FRONT PASSENGER DOOR DO NOT LOCK WITH THE FOB, THE BACK DOORS DO. AND WHILE IN DRIVE, THEY DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK, I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK THE DOORS. SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM, SOMETHING ABOUT FRAYED HARNESS WIRES. VERY DISAPPOINTED, THIS SHOULD NOT BE A COMMON PROBLEM.
THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN FULL OF PROBLEMS. FIRST IT WAS LOSING POWER WHEN TURNING CORNERS OR CHANGING LANES. HAD TO HAVE THAT FIXED.. NEXT POWER STEERING WENT OUT NOT LONG AFTER HAD THE POWER ISSUE FIXED. NEXT THE DRIVER DOOR WOULD NO LONGER LOCK. HAD THAT FIXED IN 2015. THEN IN 2015 STARTED NOTICING THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS JUST GOING ON AND OFF FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. AND THEY ALL MEET/EXCEED THE WEIGHT NEEDED TO ACTIVATE. NOW THE AIRBAG JUST STAYS OFF. NOW THE AIRBAG SENSOR IS SHOWING NOT ACTIVATED FOR THE DRIVER SIDE. AND THE SEAT BELT LIGHTS ARE BLINKING. ALSO NOW I AM BEING TOLD THE FUEL PUMP ALSO NOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN THE CAR SMELL STRONG FUMES AT TIMES. ALSO EXPERIENCE SPUTTERING ONCE REACHES 40 MPH AND AGAIN AROUND 60. ALSO ANYTIME WE ARE ON AN INCLINE. AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN ON THE VEHICLE.
KEY DOES NOT ALWAYS RELEASE FROM IGNITION SWITCH. MUST PLAY WITH BUTTON :FAST PUSHES ON SHIFT GEAR CHANGER UNTIL CLICKING ARE HEARD AND KEY RELEASES. THE CAR ONLY HAS 30,000 MILES. TOLD COST WOULD BE AT LEAST 350.00 TO FIX. TIRE SENSORS HAVE ALREADY GONE OUT TOO.
I STARTED TO SMELL FUEL WHILE IDLING ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THAT THE WHOLE GAS TANK HAD TO COME OUT & BE REPAIRED AS THERE WAS A HAIR LINE CRACK IN THE FUEL PUMP WHICH WAS LEAKING GAS. HAD TO PAY $1008.12 USD FOR LABOR, PARTS AND DIAGNOSTIC.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,446. I NOTICED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS SMELLING LIKE GAS. WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IDLING IN A DRIVEWAY I LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE TO CHECK THE FUEL TANK AND NOTICED FUEL DRIPPING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TANK FROM THE TOP OF THE TANK. I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND THE FUEL STOPPED DRIPPING WHICH INDICATED TO ME THAT IT WAS COMING FROM THE SENDING UNIT ON THE TOP OF THE TANK. ALSO THE TANK WAS UNDER HALF FULL. UPON CHECKING ONLINE I FOUND MULTIPLE RECALLS ON OTHER GM VEHICLES OF THE SAME YEAR FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. ALSO THE 2007 TORRENT MODEL WAS RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE SO I DON'T KNOW WHY MY MODEL ISN'T SINCE IT IS THE SAME ISSUE AS EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED. THIS IS MY FAMILY'S MAIN VEHICLE AND THEY COULD HAVE BEEN ENGULFED IN FLAMES AT ANY TIME IT SCARES ME TO THINK OF THIS. ALSO MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 65,000 MILES. I WANT THIS TO BE SERIOUSLY ADDRESSED AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYMORE INFO THAT I CAN GIVE. I APPRECIATE ANY HELP

THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS UNABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
AIRBAG LIGHT ON DASHBOARD IS OFF AND PASSENGERS AIRBAG IS OFF. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURERED IN 03/08. 2007 HAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS BUT 2008 DOESN'T . THIS IS A VERY COSTLY REPAIR AND SHOULD BE A RECALL. DEALER QUOTED ALMOST $900 FOR THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE TO BE RESET - THIS SHOULD BE DONE BY GENERAL MOTORS. IF SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE THE AIRBAG DOESN'T DEPLOY IN A HEAD-ON COLLISSION, WHO'S AT FAULT?
THE PAINT BEGAN FALLING OFF 2 YEARS AGO. I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND HEARD A POP, IT SLIDE RIGHT OFF MY TORRENT. IT CONTINUES TO PEEL DOWN THE BACK WINDOWS ON BOTH SIDES AND ALONG AND AROUND THE DOORS AND CARGO RACK. IT LOOKS LIKE THE CAR IS FALLING APART AND RUST HAS SET IN ON THE AREAS THAT HAVE LOST PAINT. I'M DISCOURAGED TO THE POINT I DON'T EVEN CARE IF I CLEAN IT OR NOT BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE TRASH! IF A CAR IS BEHIND ME, I WORRY THAT A CHUNK OF PAINT IS GOING TO HIT THEIR WINDSHIELD AND CASE A WRECK. THIS PAINT JOB WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY. I SUSPECT THE ADHISIVE WASN'T APPLIED PROPERLY.

AS I STARTED MY VEHICLE I NOTICED A MESSAGE SAYING TO SERVICE STABILITRACK CONTROL. I TRIED PRESSING THE BUTTON TO TAKE IT OFF BUT NOTHING.
