TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS, WHICH SECURE THE EXHAUST TO THE CYLINDER HEAD, FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN PARK, A PASSENGER ATTEMPTED TO ENTER THE VEHICLE BUT THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE STEP LOOSENED MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR THE PASSENGER TO ENTER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE UNLOADING THE VEHICLE AND GETTING A THREE-YEAR OLD OUT OF THE VEHICLE, THE CHILD'S LEG HIT THE GEAR LEVER AND THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY ROLLED BACKWARDS INTO TRAFFIC, WITH THE CHILD INSIDE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE DID NOT CRASH AND WAS NOT DAMAGED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE BRAKE SHIFT INTERLOCK BRACKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY EXPLANATION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,473.
TIPM FAILED TO WORK CORRECTLY RESULTING IN NO FUEL PRESSURE PERIODICALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. ENGINE WOULD FAIL TO RUN. SOMETIMES IT WOULD BE OK AND THEN SOMETIMES THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RUN. RAM SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO LOCATE A NEW TIPM. THEY DIDNT HAVE ONE BECAUSE OF ALOT OF THESE HAD FAILED, SO THEYRE IN HIGH DEMAND. WHY ARENT THESE BEING RECALLED THEN??
WHEN PLUGGING SOMETHING INTO DRIVER SIDE OUTLET, THE TRUCK STALLED. IF I WERE IN A SITUATION WITH MOVING TRAFFIC, THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. ALSO, LITTLE BY LITTLE THE LOCKS AND WINDOW BUTTONS HAVE STARTED TO FAIL. IF I WERE IN A SITUATION WHERE I NEEDED TO QUICKLY EXIT THE VEHICLE OR REMOVE MY CHILDREN FROM THE VEHICLE THIS COULD BE A SAFETY THREAT. ALSO, I PERSONALLY FEEL UNSAFE KNOWING THAT I COULD NOT QUICKLY LOCK MY DOORS OR SHUT MY WINDOWS IF I WERE BEING ATTACKED.
TOOK MY TRUCK TO GET INSPECTION AND IT DIDN'T PASS BECAUSE OF CODE P0456 : EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED WHY?
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTY ROAD, ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN A STOP SIGN IN FRONT OF ME I SWERVED AND THE VEHICLE WENT AIRBORNE OFF THE ROAD AND IMPACTED HEAD ON TO OTHER SIDE OF THE DRAINAGE DITCH OFF THE ROAD. MY AIRBAG WAS NOT DEPLOYED AND MY HEAD IMPACTED THE STEERING WHEEL.
TOOK TRUCK THROUGH CAR WASH. NOTICED WATER ALL OVER BACK SEAT AND THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR CORNER OF THE HEADLINER. TOOK TO DEALER. THEY SAID IT WAS THE THIRD BREAK LIGHT THAT WAS LEAKING. IT'S GOING TO COST ME $70 FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE SEAL.
THE ABS &TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS GOING ON AND OFF AND CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON. WHEN LIGHTS APPEAR TRUCK ACTS LIKE THE ENGINE HAS A MISS.
"TAKATA RECALL" TRUCK STALLS WHILE DRIVING. WAS SERVICED AT AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP, THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO STALL, CLAIMED IT WAS PCM MODULE, REPLACED, VERY COSTLY. STALLING BEGAN AGAIN, RETURNED TO DEALER, WAS CHARGED FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND TOLD NOTHING WRONG. TRUCK CONTINUES TO HAVE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES IN STALLING. ONE EVENT WITH CHILDREN GOING DOWN A HILL AND LOST ALL POWER TO VEHICLE, COULD HAVE BEEN VERY SERIOUS. RESEARCH ONLINE FINDING OUT COMMON ISSUE IN IGNITION SWITCH/MODULE. CONCERNED WHY DEALERSHIP CONTINUES TO OVERLOOK THIS? I AM ALSO SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE UNNECESSARY SERVICES AND CHARGES TO THIS VEHICLE THAT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND LOST POWER, AND THE CONTACT HEARD A BEEPING SOUND. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. ADDITIONALLY, THE POWER LOCKS FAILED TO WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALL STAR DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (11503 ST CHARLES ROCK RD, BRIDGETON, MO 63044) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE HAD SHORTED OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO INFORMATION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL METAL NOISE, FOLLOWING BY A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT DETACHED AND CAUSED THE MANIFOLD GASKET TO BLOW IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,400.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT BROKEN CAUSING EXHAUST LEAKS. VERIFIED BY DEALER AFTER DOING A FULL INSPECTION AFTER ANOTHER RECALL ITEM WAS FIXED. DEALER SAID THAT IT IS COMMON FOR THE 5.7 HEMI. POSSIBLE EXHAUST FUMES ENTERING DRIVER CAB. THIS IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE HEMI TICK, HAVE BEEN HEARING TICK FOR ABOUT 1,000 MILES, CURRENT MILES IS 32,004. CAN HEAR EXHAUST LEAK CONSISTENTLY
STALLED WHILE DRIVING. ONGOING PROBLEMS. REPLACED FUEL PUMP. DENIED IN RECALL YET EXTREMELY UNSAFE. FAULTY TIPM.
HAD RECALL 15V-459 COMPLETED AT JACK POWELL DODGE DEALERSHIP 06/09/2016. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COMPLETED RECALL REPAIR. AIRBAG LIGHT AND CHIME STILL CONTINUOUSLY AND INTERMITTENTLY WENT OFF WHILE ENGINE RUNNING. TRUCK SUFFERED FRONT END DAMAGE IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT 07/29/2016 REQUIRING NEW BUMPER, GRILL AND HOOD. THIS ACCIDENT WAS SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF. AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. STILL TODAY, AIRBAG CHIME AND SENSOR LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY / INTERMITTENTLY GOES OFF. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF THE TRANSMISSION IS IN PARK OR DRIVE; SEATS OCCUPIED OR EMPTY. I DONT BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL RECALL REPAIR WAS MADE AT DEALERSHIP.
THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE IGNITION THAT CAUSES THE VEHICLE DIE AFTER STARTING IT AFTER TRYING TO START IT REPEATEDLY IT FINALLY STAYS STARTED AND ALLOWS YOU TO DRIVE. HOWEVER THE IGNITION TURNS OFF ALSO WHILE DRIVING. YOU CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR SITTING AT THE STOP SIGN OR LIGHT AND THE KEY DISENGAGES TURNING THE TRUCK OFF. IT HAPPENS WHILE TURNING A CORNER OR DRIVING STRAIGHT. I HAVE TO PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL WHILE COASTING AND TURN THE IGNITION AGAIN SOMETIMES REPEATEDLY. I DO HAVE A KEYLESS KEYFOB AND A REGULAR KEY, EVEN WHEN TRYING THE REGULAR KEY THE IGNITION WILL TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE 3 TIMES DIRECTLY ABOUT THE ISSUE. THE FIRST TIME I CALLED IT HAPPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO TURN ON MY FLASHERS PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND TRIED STARTING IT THREE TIMES WITH NO BREAKS AND NO STEERING. AFTER NOT GETTING IT TO START I HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER AND CONTINUE TO TRY UNTIL IT STARTED. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL AT THE TIME AND THERE IS NOTHING THE CAN DO ABOUT IT WITHOUT A RECALL. I HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATING THIS ISSUE FURTHER AND THIS IS PRETTY COMMON FOR THE TRUCKS 2009-2012. HERE IS A VIDEO I FOUND ON YOUTUBE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THAT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND MAY HAVE ALREADY CAUSED MANY. I AM NOT SURE IF YOU ARE AWARE BUT WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF AND LOSES POWER THE STEERING BECOMES STIFF AND BRAKES BECOME STIFF AS WELL. THE VEHICLE BECOMES ALMOST INOPERABLE. THERE WERE NO ISSUES AT ALL WITH THIS TRUCK UNTIL THIS PROBLEM BEGAN ABOUT 3 MOTHS AGO. I HAVE A FRIEND WITH THE SAME MAKE MODEL AND YEAR VEHICLE AND THEIRS HAS THE SAME PROBLEM.; DATE BELOW IS A GUESSTIMATED DATE SPEED RANGES
AT 104,000 MILES, ENGINE CODE FOR CYLINDER #3 MISFIRE. 16 NEW PLUGS AND #3 COIL PACK DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. FURTHER TESTING REVEALED REVEALED A BAD LIFTER. ENGINE OVERHAUL PRODUCED A SEIZED ROLLER ON THE LIFTER THAT EVENTUALLY COMPLETELY WORE A LOBE OF THE CAMSHAFT. WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF LIFTERS, CAMSHAFT, VALVE SPRINGS, THE MECHANIC SHOP ALSO REPLACED 5 BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS (ANOTHER KNOWN PROBLEM WITH 5.7L HEMI ENGINE). $4000 LATER I HAVE A SIGNIFICANT ENGINE OVERHAUL ON AN ENGINE WITH JUST 104,000 MILES THAT WAS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY. 5W20 MOBILE 1 SYNTHETIC OIL USED AT ALL OIL CHANGES AT FACTORY RECOMMENDED INTERVAL, SINCE TRUCK WAS NEW.
ENGINE SHUTS OFF THEN RESTARTS ITSELF, ALSO WHEN CHECK 4X4 ICON APPEARS, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START, THERE IS A CLICKING SOUND, THEN THE VEHICLE WILL START. IN ALL INSTANCES THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, EITHER IN A PARKING LOT OR A GAS STATION GETTING GAS, AND THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES.

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER (GILLMAN DODGE, 10585 W. SAM HOUSTON PKWY, S. HOUSTON, TX) AND THE MANUFACTURER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE DEFECT WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON FOR ABOUT A DAY THEN WENT OFF. AT THE SAME TIME I NOTICE THE BACK SEAT DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK BY USING THE KEY FOB OR AUTO DOOR LOCKS. SINCE THEN, THE DOOR LOCKS WORK BUT THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. HOOKED UP A DIAGNOSTIC AND SHOWS NO ERRORS. TRUCK ONLY HAS 30K MILES AND WARRANTY IS OUT. I DO HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT FEEL THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AT THIS LOW MILEAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE WASHING THE VEHICLE, THE FAN FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING FAILED TO DEACTIVATE. THE CONTACT LIFTED THE HOOD AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY IN ORDER TO DEACTIVATE THE FAN. THE BATTERY WAS RECONNECTED AND THE RELAY SWITCH WAS BURNED AND MELTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
2012 DODGE RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FCA SETTLEMENT OPTION TO RE-PURCHASE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGES CONSUMER VEHICLE RE-PURCHASE REQUESTS AS A VEHICLE "TRADE IN". *SMD
The contact owns a 2012 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon opening the rear driver's side sliding door, the rear driver's side window shattered. The vehicle was taken to a glass repair facility where the 3-piece rear driver's side window glass was replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred while his wife was opening rear the driver's side door. The contact stated that some of the broken pieces was on her face. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME OF A RECALL THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS IN TO REPLACE THE PARTS DEFECTIVE. SHE MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT TO RETURN AND HAVE IT DONE IN ABOUT A WEEK. THE FOLLOWING WEEK I RECEIVED A CALL FROM HER STATING THAT THE PARTS HAD NOT CAME IN. SHE HAD LAUGHED ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO GET PARTS SHE HAD BEEN ORDERING. TOLD ME SHE WOULD CALL ME WHEN SHE GOT THEM IN. NEVER TELLING ME THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE RECALL. THAT IT WAS FATALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I RECEIVED DOCUMENTATION FOR THE RECALL AND CALLED TO SEE WHAT WOULD BE DONE TO REMEDY IT. WAS GUARANTEED TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT SINCE THEY COULD ONLY PUT ME IN ANOTHER VEHICLE IF THEY WERE GOING TO BE REQUIRED TO KEEP IT OVERNIGHT. I HAD A WRECK THE FOLLOWING WEEK. LOST CONTROL COMING HOME EASTER. I AM 100% DISABLED AND HANDICAPPED FROM A DEBILITATING SPINAL DISEASE. I THOUGHT THE POWER STEERING WAS GOING OUT FROM A WRECK I HAD THE END OF DECEMBER. I HAD MY REPAIR WORK DONE AT THE SAME BODY SHOP. THEY ASSURED ME THE HOSES AND PUMP WERE REPLACED BUT IT DRIVES LIKE IT HAS NO POWER STEERING. KEEP IN MIND I'M A WIDOW TO AN ACTIVE DUTY HUSBAND I LOST. MOTHER OF 2. THE DEALERSHIP ASSURED ME SO I PUT MY TRUST INTO THEM. I NOW HAVE A VEHICLE THAT'S HAD EXTENSIVE DAMAGE IT WILL NEVER BE RIGHT. I'M COMPLETELY DEVASTATED.

WHEN FIRST BOUGHT TRUCK ISSUES WITH BRAKE STOPPING . PROBLEM HAPPENED PERIODICALLY .TILL WHEN SERVICE TECH BROUGHT IT AROUND AND COULD STOP . IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS MASTER CYLINDER. 5 MONTHS LATER SAME PROBLEM . THE INITIAL TOUCH ON BRAKE PEDAL AT HIGH SPEED (50)+THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. WHEN PUMPED IT RE-ESTABLISHES NORMAL LEVEL OF POWER . AFRAID THIS WILL FAIL AGAIN . THIS IS STARTING TO HAPPEN DAILY.

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS INJURED IN A COLLISION. I WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED INJURING MY HEAD. I ENDED UP UNCONSCIOUS. 12 STITCHES TO MY HEAD AND A TBI (TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY). THE WRECK OCCURRED ON FEBRUARY 17, 2016 ON A RURAL ROAD HEADING TOWARD TOWN.
DRIVER SIDE POWER WINDOW DETACHES FROM WINDOW CLIPS WHEN 30 DEGREES OR COOLER. HAVE HAD CLIPS AND REGULATOR REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES. DEALER CAN NOT LOCATE PROBLEM TO CORRECT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT HAS SNOWED OR RAINED, IT'S THE TEMPERATURE THAT EFFECTS IT. TRUCK HAS BEEN WARMED UP AND DRIVEN BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PUT WINDOW DOWN TO SCAN INTO WORK LOT. AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON TRUCK HAS 26624 MILES ON IT. DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY 3 YEAR OR 36,000 MILES, I BOUGHT THE TRUCK LAST YEAR AND IT HAD 7000 MILES ON IT. I GOOGLED ONLINE AND THERE IS A LOT OF TRUCKS EFFECTED AND THE FIX WAS WIRE HARNESS AND SPRING CAPS REPLACED. DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE TO FIX ISSUE.

MY HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2012 RAM 1500 ST ARE HORRIBLE. MY FOG LIGHTS ARE BRIGHTER THEN THE LOW BEAM ON THE VEHICLE WHICH MAKES IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS, BOTH LOW AND HIGH ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEE PAST 10 FEET.

PASSENGER HEADLIGHT LOW AND HIGH BEAMS NOT WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. REMOVE POWER FROM TIPM AND WAIT 12 HOURS THEM RECONNECT WILL WORK FOR A LITTLE WHILE.
MY TRUCK FUEL LIGHT CAME ON TRUCK SPUTTERED AND DIED IN ABOUT 30 SECONDS. LUCKILY I WAS IN A GOOD SPOT TO PULL OVER AND STOP. I LIFTED THE HOOD AND COULD SMELL WIRES BURNING. I LIFTED THE FUSE BOX LID AND SEEN THE FUSES SMOKING SO I PULLED ONE FUSE THAT WAS THE STARTER SOLENOID FUSE.I WAS ON HIGHWAY WITH LOTS OF ROCK CUTS AND HILLS. TURNS OUT TO BE THE TIPM. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY .DEALERSHIP REPLACES IT FOR APP. 1400.00 AND IT STILL NEVER FIXED PROBLEM. THEY SAY IT IS UNDER WARRANTY AND NOW HAVE TO PAY FOR ANOTHER DIAGNOSTICS . HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO END UP COSTING. I HAVE NO FUEL GAUGE, FRONT WINDOWS DON'T WORK , WIPERS WORK WHEN AND HOW THEY WANT, AIR CONDITIONING TURNS ON BY ITSELF, TEMPERATURE GAUGE SAYS ITS 56 DEGREES CELSIUS OUTSIDE. DOESN'T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE OUT THIS ONE. I THINK THIS COULD HAVE ENDED UP WORSE BUT I WAS DRIVING DOWN A HILL AND WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY ON A TRUCK PULL OFF AT THE BOTTOM. I HAVE BOUGHT 5 NEW DODGE TRUCKS OVER THE YEARS AND HAD PLANNED TO BUY MORE TILL NOW. I HOPE I CAN GET THE PROBLEM RESOLVED WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK. TRADE IT IN REAL SOON.
