WE EXPERIENCED A BLOW OUT OF OUR GOODYEAR P275/60R20 LEFT FRONT TIRE WHILE DRIVING OUR 2012 DODGE RAM 1500 PICKUP. WE WERE DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON DIVIDED HIGHWAY AND WERE WATCHING ROAD WHEN BLOW UP HAPPENED WITH NO DEBRIS PRESENT. AIR PRESSURE WAS NORMAL (39PSI) JUST BEFORE ACCIDENT. THE BLOW OUT WAS FROM RIM TO RIM.

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V459000 (AIR BAGS), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,020.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. A LOCAL DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND WANTED THE VEHICLE BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
CUSTOMER IS FRIGHTENED THAT HE WILL LOOSE HIS LIFE DRIVING HIS TRUCK DUE TO ADMINISTRATOR ROSEKIND'S TESTIMONY REGARDING TIRE SAFETY. THE CONSUMER IS CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT ADMINISTRATOR ROSEKIND INDICATED IN HIS TESTIMONY THAT THE RECALL SYSTEM IS BROKEN. CONSUMER WANTS THE SYSTEM FIXED FOR ALL AMERICANS. NHTSA HAS A DUTY AND OBLIGATION TO INVESTIGATE THE DEATHS DUE TO TIRE MALFUNCTIONS. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO BE REASSURED THAT THE RECALL SYSTEM IS CORRECTED AND AT THIS TIME IT IS NOT.
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE THAT A STEERING WHEEL HARNESS COULD RUB AND DEPLOY THE AIRBAG AT ANY TIME. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO HOLLYWOOD CHRYSLER HOLLYWOOD FL AND THEY REPAIRED AND RETURNED. WHEN I ARRIVED AND FOR THE PRECEDING MONTHS PRIOR MY "FUEL ECONOMY DISPLAY" INDICATED MY AVERAGE MILEAGE WAS 15.8 GALLONS PER MILE REASONABLY WITHIN THE SPECS FOR THIS VEHICLE. FOLLOWING THE WIRING HARNESS REPAIR THE DISPLAY NOW (AND FOR MORE THAN 2 WEEKS ) REPORTS 11.8 MPG. SOMEHOW THE REPAIR ALTERED THE FUEL USAGE OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER CHECKED AND SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. BUT MY MILEAGE HAS GONE FROM 15.8 TO 11.8. I'M NOT DRIVING DIFFERENTLY. I'M LOSING 30% OF MY GAS AND THE VEHICLE IS NOW UNDER ADVERTISED SPECS OF 14/20 MPG THERE IS AN ISSUE THEY DON'T WANT TO DISCUSS. CAN THE NHTSA CONTACT OTHER OWNERS WITH THIS REPAIR AND VERIFY? THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL; #R36/NHTSA 15V-459. I CALLED PETERSON'S STAMPEDE DODGE IN NAMPA, ID. I SPOKE TO JEN IN SERVICE 208-475-2955. I WAS TOLD THAT 1500 VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED. I COULD BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST OF 229 CUSTOMERS, AND WOULD BE CALLED WHEN I COULD BRING THE TRUCK IN. NO ESTIMATED TIME FRAME COULD BE GIVEN. HOWEVER, IF I WANTED TO SCHEDULE AN OIL CHANGE, I COULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT, AND THE RECALL REPAIR COULD BE DONE AT THE SAME TIME. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR AN EXPENSIVE DEALER OIL CHANGE (NORMALLY DO THIS MYSELF) JUST TO JUMP THE LIST FOR A MANDATORY SAFETY RECALL. I ALSO DON'T THINK IT IS RIGHT FOR OTHERS TO JUMP AHEAD OF ME BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO HAVE THE DEALER CHANGE THEIR OIL. THIS DOES NOT SEEM LEGAL TO ME.

THE TIPM AND FUEL RELAY KEEP GOING OUT IN MY TRUCK. IT CAUSES IT TO NOT START OR THE FUEL PUMP KEEPS RUNNING AND DRAINS MY BATTERY OVERNIGHT. I'VE CONTACTED DODGE SINCE THEY HAVE RECALLS ON OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
I RECEIVED A NOTICE OF RECALL FOR "STEERING WHEEL WIRE HARNESS ON YOUR VEHICLE MAY BECOME CHAFFED BY THE DRIVER AIRBAG MODULE RETAINER SPRING ENDS." I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO TAKE IT IN FOR REPAIR BUT WHEN I ARRIVED, THEY DECLINED SAYING THEY "WERE TOO BUSY UNLESS I WANT TO WAIT FOR 4-5 HOURS." I HAD AN APPOINTMENT THAT THEY SET! I REQUESTED THEM TO CALL ME TO RESCHEDULE BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.
VEHICLE WARRANTY FROM DODGE NOT HONORED DUE TO COMING FROM CANADA . YET AS I HAVE JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A RAM TRUCK FROM ROY ROBINSON CHEVROLET IN MARYSVILLE WA TWO WEEKS AFTER PURCHASED VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN BRAKE WAS PRESSED UNLESS PUMPED DODGE WOULD NOT COVER WARRENTY ON VEHICLE AND ROY ROBINSON PAID TO REPAIR MASTER CYLINDER. ITS BEEN 1 MOTH AND HALF AND FROM TIME TO TIME I STILL GET THE SENSATION OF NOT STOPPING UNLESS I PUMP BRAKE . NOW MASTER TRANSMISSION HAS ISSUES WONT GET OUT OF 5 THE GEAR . SO FOR A UNSAFE VEHICLE THAT NOW HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF BRAKES AND BEING 37500 MILES A NEWER VEHICLE WAS ALLOWED TO BE SOLD AT NEW VEHICLE PRICE. AND STILL DODGE CANNOT TELL ME WHY AFTER GOING THRU CUSTOMS AND DOT AND EPA . WHY THE WARRANTY CANT BE CONTINUED. IM SCARRED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK THAT IM PAYING FOR WHEN IT IS UNSAFE WHAT ELSE WILL GO WRONG AND WHY ARE THESE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES ALLOWED IN USA.

I HAVE A MAJOR CONCERN WITH CONTROLLING MY DODGE PICKUP. WHILE TOWING A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, I HIT A BUMP ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I ATTRIBUTED IT TO THE SWAYING OF THE TRAILER. BUT NOW BEING VERY SENSITIVE TO THE EVENT, 1) I'VE RECALLED THAT IT HAS HAPPENED PRIOR TO PULLING THE TRAILER AND 2) RECENTLY HAPPENED AGAIN; ALSO NOT TOWING A TRAILER. THE FEELING IS THOUGH ONCE THE BUMP IS IMPACTED, THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE VIBRATION THROUGH THE STEERING ARM AND MOST IMPORTANTLY AN IMMEDIATE FEELING OF LOSS OF CONTROL. WHEN TOWING THE TRAILER, I WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY ROUNDING A CURVE JUST APPROACH A BRIDGE/GUARD RAILS WHEN I HIT THE BUMP. FOLLOW-ON INCIDENT OCCURRED IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. WHILE THE SPEED WAS SLOWER ON THE CITY STREET, THE MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL FEELING WAS NOTICEABLE ENOUGH TO CATCH MY ATTENTION AND CAUSED CONCERN.

2012 DODGE RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE LOST ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE AND WENT OFF THE ROAD. IT WAS DETERMINED THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WAS BAD. UPDATED 10/22/15.*JB
PURCHASE A BRAND NEW TRUCK IN 2012. TIRES INSTALLED ON TRUCK WERE FROM 2010. HAD TO REPLACE TIRES TO TO OLD AGE. TRUCK IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND THE TIRES WERE ALREADY 5 YEARS OLD AND STARTED DRY ROTTING. DEALER WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NOT SURE HOW MANY OTHER VEHICLES ARE OR WERE LIKE THIS. ITS A GOOD THING THEY DID NOT BLOW OUT WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. INCLUDED IS MY RECEIPT WITH OLD AND NEW TIRES WITH DOT NUMBERS AND DATE CODES.
HEADLIGHTS WILL UNEXPECTEDLY GO OUT WHILE DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. REPLACED BOTH BULBS AND WAS OK FOR ABOUT A WEEK, BUT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. SOMETIMES IF HOOD IS SLAMMED, LIGHTS WILL COME BACK ON. DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NOT A CONNECTION/ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. VERY DANGEROUS. MANY OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED OF THE SAME PROBLEM. RECALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED ALREADY.

TRUCK RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. ALL LIGHTS ON THE DASH COME ON, ONCE YOU GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD YOU TURN TRUCK OFF AND RESTART IT MAY RUN FINE FOR DAYS OR A HALF MILE. THIS CAN HAPPEN GOING 65MPH DOWN THE TURNPIKE OR STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IN TOWN. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH 28K AND THIS ISSUE STARTED AROUND 32K. HAD IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD "DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM". MY WIFE REFUSES TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE HER AND MY SON NEARLY GOT KILLED WHEN IT SHUT OFF GOING THRU AN INTERSECTION. I HAVE READ UP ON THIS ON MANY FORUMS AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. YOU IN FACT HAD DONE A RECALL CAMPAIGN # PE05027 BACK IN 05. THERE ARE OTHER MODELS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. IS GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE LOOSING THEIR LIFE FOR THIS TO GET CORRECTED. MAKE A PAYMENT OF 400.00 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR A TRUCK THAT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE. WHEN DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25MPG DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET, I HEARD A SCRAPE AND A SLIGHT THUD TOWARDS THE REAR OF MY TRUCK.I IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO TRY TO SLOW DOWN AND PULL OVER BUT THERE WAS A LOSS OF BRAKES AND I HAD TO PUSH THE BRAKE ALMOST TO THE FLOOR TO GET IT TO STOP. I DID GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP AND CHECKED AROUND THE CAR FOR THE PROBLEM. MY LEFT REAR BRAKE CALIPER WAS HANGING DOWN AND THE FLUID WAS LEAKING OUT. UPON CLOSE INSPECTION, BOTH OF THE CALIPER PINS WERE MISSING.
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR WITH LITTLE OR NO BRAKING. UPON RELEASING BRAKE PEADAL AND DEPRESSING AGAIN THE BRAKES THEN WORK NORMALLY. OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AND RANDOMLY. HAS OCCURED 4 TIMES BETWEEN 9/3/15 AN 9/20/15. BRAKES OPERATE NORMALLY OTHER THAN THE 4 RANDOM OCCURENCES. NO OTHER SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS. BRAKE SYSTEM ON VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED PRIOR TO THIS, IT IS AS DELIVERED NEW.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE USUALLY OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE SYMPTOMS WERE RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE AIR BAG INDICATOR TWICE BEFORE, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I WENT TO START THE TRUCK WHILE IN PARK AFTER HAVING ALREADY DRIVEN THE TRUCK APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR PRIOR. UPON TURNING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, I HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION OF SOME KIND. SMOKE BEGAN APPEARING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE TRUCK DID NOT HAVE ANY POWER. I OPENED THE HOOD OF THE TRUCK, AND FOUND THAT THE BATTERY HAD CATASTROPHICALLY EXPLODED. TWO OF THE PLASTIC SIDEWALLS WERE COMPLETELY BLOWN OUT AND RIPPED OPEN. ON ONE SIDE THE LEAD INTERIOR COULD BE SEEN MISSHAPEN AND LEANING OUT TOWARDS THE EXPOSED SIDE. BOTH TOP CAPS WERE BLOWN CLEAR OF THE BATTERY. BATTERY ACID COVERED THE GENERAL VICINITY OF THE EXPLOSION. THE ACID ALSO RAN DOWN THROUGH THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND ONTO THE PAVEMENT.

CERTAIN ANGLES OF THE SUN IN MORNING OR AFTERNOON CAUSE A REFLECTION ON THE WINDSHIELD FROM THE DASHBOARD WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD. PRIMARILY WITH A DARK BACKGROUND WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH A NEIGHBORHOOD WITH TREES OR BUILDINGS. THE GLARE OFF THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD TO THE WINDSHIELD JUST MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD.
THE SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS A NICE DAY AND WAS NOT HIT BY AN OBJECT. SHARDS OF GLASS WAS SENT EVERYWHERE IN THE VEHICLE AND CAUSED INJURY.
WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING OUR TRUCK DOWN THE ROAD AT NO MORE THAN 20 MPH THE SUNROOF SUDDENLY EXPLODED INTO THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. GLASS WENT EVERYWHERE. LUCKILY NOTHING (GLASS) EMBEDDED IN ANYTHING BUT HIS HAND.
IGNITION ISSUES. HIT POT HOLE OR BUMP AND TRUCK WILL DIE LOSING ALL POWER. CAN WIGGLE KEY IN IGNITION WHILE TRUCK IS RUNNING AND TRUCK WILL LOSE POWER.
GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY I LET GO OF THE GAS PEDAL TO COAST TO A COMPLETE STOP. WITHOUT WARNING THE TRUCK SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OFF RAMP. STARTS RIGHT UP BUT MAKES A NOISE AS IF YOU WERE STARTING A COLD DIESEL ENGINE. IT'S HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS AND THE DEALER COULD FIND OR FIX THE ISSUE.
WHEN STEERING AT ANY SPEED THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMS TO STUD-ER OR GET STICKY AT TIMES AS YOU TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. DEALER SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE STEERING BUT THEY GREASED THE FRONT END, SEEMS TO BE BETTER. WHEN AT LOW OR HIGH HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND APPLYING THE BRAKES NORMALLY NOT IN A EMERGENCY STOPPING SITUATION, THE FRONT END AND STEERING WHEEL SHAKE VIOLENTLY. STATED AROUND 30,000 MILES THE DRIVER SIDE PARKING LIGHTS OR RUNNING LIGHTS FRONT AND REAR ARE OFF AND NOT WORKING, DIRECTIONAL AND BRAKE LIGHTS SEEM FINE.

THE AIRBAG FAULT SENSOR KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF. I BROUGHT BACK TOT HE DEALERSHIP ONCE AND THEY REPAIRED IT BUT IT STILL COMES ON EVERY SO OFTEN BUT DOESN'T STAY ON. I AM CONCERNED THAT THERE MAY BE AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG EVEN AFTER THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THE ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL WAS LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

I believe there should be a recall by Dodge on their Dodge 1500 Laramie Longhorn with the 5.7 Hemi engines. It's really the Hemi exhaust manifold that is the problem. I have this ticking noise which hundreds if not thousands of others also have. Copied from the Internet ** (Broken or loose exhaust manifold bolts (this is the most common answer). I've had my truck diagnosed and this is what they say is bad. They will not fix it for no charge. The fix is close to and/or over $1,000. Good reason for the to not admit it's their problem. There should definitely be a Class Action Lawsuit against Dodge. This is a very common problem and because hundreds if not thousands of engines have this issue it should be a RECALL issue. I would hope your organization could do something about this. I don't think it's fair that their mechanical problems they caused are my costly problems. I'll pay for wear and tear and things I've done to my car but they should stand up and take responsibility of their manufactures defects. Please help. [XXX] P.s. VEHICLE STARTING SHAKING A LOT AND OVER A MONTH PERIOD IT WORE OUT MY FRONT TWO TIRES, I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH TIRES (ALIGNMENT / BALANCE WAS CONDUCTED). THE 2 NEW TIRES WERE PLACED ON THE BACK AND NOW THE OLD BACK TIRES ARE IN FRONT AND THEY'RE STARTING TO WEAR OUT AS WELL AND THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE STARTING TO SHAKE. NOT SURE IF THE SUSPENSION IS BAD, THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT OR ANYTHING HAS BEEN HIT. THE TRUCK IS IMMACULATE CONDITION OTHER THAN THE FRONT SUSPENSION IS SHAKING.
