WHILE OPERATING MY TRUCK IN NORMAL USAGE, THE TRUCK BEGAN TO LOSS POWER, SHAKE VIOLENTLY, AND EMIT A KNOCKING/CLACKING SOUND. THE TRUCK DISPLAYED A MIL CODE P0304 FOR A MISFIRE, ONE THAT WAS CAUSED BY DEFECTIVE, NEGLIGENTLY ENGINEERED POWERTRAIN COMPONENTS. CAMSHAFT AND VALVE LIFTER FAILURES ARE KNOWN ISSUES ON THIS VEHICLE ACROSS MULTIPLE MODEL YEARS. THE MOMENT WHEN THEY MANIFEST CAN CAUSE DRIVER DISTRACTION AT THE LEAST, LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AT WORST. FCA SHOULD BE COMPELLED TO ISSUE A RECALL TO COVER REPAIRS/REIMBURSE THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED VEHICLE FAILURE. THE PARTS ALONE WILL COST NEARLY $1800, WITH LABOR COSTS EXPECTED TO AT LEAST DOUBLE THAT.
MY RAM 1500 HAD VALVE SPRINGS BREAK. IT HAS A TICK IN THE ENGINE AND THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS A LIFTER. HE SAID 2012 RAMS ALWAYS GET BAD LIFTERS, ALSO THE FRONT SEATS THE WAY THEY ARE SHAPED, WHEN GETTING IN OR OUT THE EDGES ARE RUBBED AND MY LEATHER IS TORN. THE LIFTER IS A MAJOR ISSUE. I'LL NEVER BY ANOTHER RAM AGAIN BECAUSE OF IT. MY TRUCK SOUNDS AWFUL. I HAVE 97000 MILE IT'S 2012, LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, AND SOUNDS LIKE A BEATER. IT TICKS WHEN I START IT AND SOUNDS WORSE WHEN I DRIVE. WHEN MY SPRINGS BROKE I WAS DRIVING 70 ON THE INTETSTATE.. THE LIFTER ISSUE CAME FIRST, NOT SURE IF IT CAUSED THE SPRINGS TO BREAK.
KEY FOB STUCK IN IGNITION, UNABLE TO PUT VEHICLE IN PARK. PARKING BRAKE MUST BE APPLIED TO KEEP VEHICLE FROM ROLLING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND A CLICKING NOISE WAS HEARD. ALSO, THE MESSAGE "NO FUSE" APPEARED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED, COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. THEY SAID IT IS THE TIPM COMPUTER. SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED EXACTLY THE SAME AS 1ST INCIDENT (TOOK TO MECHANIC) TOLD HIM TRUCK STALLED AGAIN MAKING RIGHT TURN AT LIGHT, ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. *DT*JB *TT CONSUMER STATED CODES INDICATE MAJOR COMPUTER ISSUES. REPLACED BATTERY, ALTERNATOR MAINTENANCE TO FUEL TANK, ETC. VEHICLE DIES WHILE DRIVING. DEALER WANTS TO REPLACE FUEL PUMP AND COMPUTER TIPM.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. IN ADDITION, WHEN MAKING TURNS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF KATY (LOCATED AT 21777 KATY FWY, KATY, TX 77450, (281) 715-6920) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT CYLINDER NUMBER THREE WAS MISFIRING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT LATER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LIFTER IN THE ENGINE AND CAMSHAFT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING APPRX 65 ON THE FREE WAY. I CHECKED THE CODE P0305. SLIGHT SPUTTER AT FIRST. NOW LOW POWER BELOW 30MPH AND MAJOR JUMP INTO GEAR HIGHER THAN 30MPH. ALMOST AS IF SKIPPING A GEAR. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS A CAM FAILURE CAUSING A MISFIRE, POSSIBLY FROM EVIDENCE OF SPRING SEIZURE.
THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF RAM 1500 OWNERS HAVING THIS PROBLEM. THE LIFTERS IN THE MOTOR HAVE A DEFECT IN THE NEEDLE BEARINGS, BECAUSE OF THE DEMAND FOR THESE LIFTERS I WILL BE WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 2 MONTHS. I FIND THIS UNACCEPTABLE AND I GUARANTEE YOU ALL THE OTHER OWNERS DO ALSO.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EFIRD CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (1711 W LUCAS ST, FLORENCE, SC 29501) WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE AND HAD TO BE ORDERED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME WHERE THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY REPAIRED THE RECALL. THE CONTACT LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS A MISCOMMUNICATION AND THAT THE REPAIR HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETED AND THE PARTS STILL NEEDED TO BE ORDERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. *BF *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO JACK POWELL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1625 AUTO PARK WAY, ESCONDIDO, CA 92029, (760) 745-2880) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000. *DT*JB
I HAD TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO LODI CDJR TO HAVE RECALL WORK PERFORMED. THEY THEN INSPECTED MY VEHICLE AND FOUND BOTH EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WARPED AND STUDS HOLDING THEM TO THE BLOCK BROKEN. THEY RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT OF MANIFOLDS. I HAD THE WORK PERFORMED AT MY PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THEY SEE THIS REPAIR FREQUENTLY. I LOOKED AT DODGERAMFORUM ONLINE AND SAW THIS DAMAGE TALKED ABOUT A LOT. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE 5.7L HEMI BLOCK IS ALUMINUM AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD STEEL, 2 DISSIMILAR METALS. IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHERE TEMPERATURES CAN EXCEED 400 DEGREES F AND THEN COOL BACK DOWN, DISSIMILAR METALS EXPAND AND CONTRACT AT DIFFERENT RATES, PUTTING SHEERING FORCE ON THE CONNECTING BOLTS, CAUSING THEM TO BREAK. WHICH MINE DID. THIS REPAIR COST ME $890 AND COULD EASILY HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE THE DISSIMILAR METAL SITUATION IS BY DESIGN AND REALLY CANNOT BE CURED. I CALLED A LEMON LAWYER WHO DIRECTED ME TO DODGE'S OWN CUSTOMER SERVICE. I EXPLAINED MY COMPLAINT TO THE DODGE CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER REPRESENTATIVE (1-800-423-6343) WHO SAID HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH THIS COMPLAINT AND RECOMMENDED THAT I CONTACT YOU. HE GAVE ME A REFERENCE NUMBER FOR MY CASE: 57938794, TO GIVE TO YOU. I FEEL CDJR IS WELL AWARE OF THE FLAW HERE AND SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR IT BY RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL ON MY TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID I WAS DRIVING IT ON JANUARY,25,2019 AND WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK IT WENT IN MANUAL AND IT WAS STUCK IN 4TH GEAR AND I WAS GOING SEVENTY AND THAT IS A SAFETY HAZARD

TRUCK WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF, LOSING ALL POWER. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE IN PARK. WHEN IT HAPPENS DURING DRIVING IT HAS HAPPENED AT ALL SPEEDS. ALL POWER INCLUDING LIGHTS AND POWER STEERING IS LOST. MUST TURN IGNITION OFF AND RESTART ENGINE. HAS BECAME A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHILE ON THE ROAD. HAVE TAKEN IT TO A DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS BOUGHT FROM BUT THEY COULD NOT PIN POINT PROBLEM SINCE IT RANDOMLY HAPPENS
THREE TIMES THE REMOTE START FOB HAS WENT BAD AND IT WAS COVERED.THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.NOW THAT MY WARRANTY HAS RAN OUT I HAD TO PAY 4 HUNDRED AND NINE DOLLARS.I HAVE A OPEN CASE # 57845871 FOR REIMBURSEMENT BUT A SUPERVISOR NAMED MARISA REFUSES TO CALL ME BACK. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE DURANGO AND JEEP CHEROKEE WITH SAME RELAY IN THE FUSE BOX (TIPM) MY FUEL PUMP CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER TRUCK IS SHUT OFF CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. THERE ARE WEBSITES DEDICATED AND MAKING MONEY ON FIXING THIS KNOWN PROBLEM. PLEASE LOOK FURTHER INTO IT. AND FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME IF NEED BE.
NOVEMBER 2018, ON A HIGHWAY, HIT A BUMP, AND THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG LIGHTS CAME ON, THERE WAS A MESSAGE THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBELT WAS UNFASTENED, EVEN THOUGH THE SEAT BELT WAS SECURELY FASTENED, AND THE SEAT BELT CHIME RANG CONTINUOUSLY. ABOUT 100 MILES LATER, I HIT ANOTHER BUMP AND THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND THE TRUCK STAYED FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. IN JANUARY 2019, AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND FASTENING THE SEAT BELT, THE SEAT BELT LIGHT CAME BACK ON, THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND THE SEAT BELT MESSAGE SAYS THAT IT IS NOT FASTENED AND IT CHIMES CONTINUOUSLY FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON FEBRUARY 20, 2019. THEY FOUND A CODE "U0151 OCR MODULE LOST COMMUNICATION" AND TOLD ME THE OCR MODULE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED BUT IT IS ON BACK ORDER. THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT EVER BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS THAT WOULD HAVE DEPLOYED THE AIR BAGS. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 73,000 MILES ON IT. I AM UPLOADING SEVERAL PICTURES. THE FIRST IS THE DASHBOARD SHOWING THE LIGHTS ON AND SEATBELT UNFASTENED MESSAGE EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE SEATBELT FASTENED. THE SECOND IS A PICTURE OF THE OCR MODULE WHICH I LOOKED AT TO MAKE SURE IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY LOOSE WIRES. AND THE THIRD IS THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM THE DEALERSHIP.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUD/BOLT FAILURE CAUSING EXHAUST LEAK AND TICKING NOISE. PASSENGER SIDE.
WIN MODUEL(WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE) VEHICLE HAS 90,000 MILES. WHEN KEY IS INSERTED INTO IGNITION AND TURNED TO THE START POSITION THE WIN MODULE FAILS TO MAKE A CIRCUIT INTERNALLY AND WILL NOT CRANK THE VEHICLE. THE FAULTY CONNECTIONS INSIDE WILL ALSO MOVE WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF AT SOMETIMES A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKES,STEERING, LIGHTS, ETC. SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. MY PERSONAL VEHICLE HAS DONE THIS REPEATEDLY WHILE IN MOTION AND ALSO WHEN STARTING. THE LATEST OCCURRENCE BEING LAST NIGHT WHEN DRIVING 60MPH DOWN A RULE STAE HI-WAY WE LOST COMPLETE POWER!!! NO HEAD LIGHTS, NO ENGINE, NO POWER BREAKS, NO POWER STEERING, EVERYTHING WAS DEAD. THIS WAS VERY SCARY!!! WAS ABLE TO COME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HI-WAY AND TURN OFF THE KEY AND EVERYTHING POWERED BACK UP. THIS COULD HAVE ENDED A LOT WORSE!!! THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH OTHER CHRYSLER MODELS AND SHOULD BE RECALLED ON THIS ONE ALSO.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS (60-70 MPH) MY TRUCK DROPS INTO 4TH GEAR WITHOUT NOTICE. IT THEN GOES INTO "LIMP" MODE AND YOU CAN'T SHIFT OUT OF 4TH GEAR UNTIL YOU PULL OVER AND TURN THE TRUCK OFF AND THEN BACK ON. I'VE NOTICED THAT A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.
I AM GETTING A LOUD HUMMING VIBRATION NOISE, SOUNDS LIKE A TURBO ISSUE WITH THE HEMI COMING EITHER FROM MY TRANSMISSION OR REAR AXEL AT HIGH AND LOW SPEED. IT'S MORE NOTICEABLE AT 65 TO 75 MPH HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO BILL BRYAN IN FLORIDA AND THEY WHERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY ISSUES EXPERIENCING LOST OF POWER. ONGOING ISSUE WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN .
TAKATA RECALL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION MODULE ON MY RAM 1500 2012 WILL START SOMETIMES WHEN IT WANTS TO AND GOING DOWN THE ROAD I HIT A BUMP TRUCK LOOSES COMPLETE POWER. MY TRUCK WILL STOP WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL CAN BE PUSHED AND IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THE TRUCK LOSES POWER. A RED ELECTRIC BOLT APPEARS. THE TRUCK BECOMES INOPERABLE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT WILL SUDDENLY REGAIN POWER. I HAVE SEARCHED FOR ANSWERS AND MANY PEOPLE ARE CLAIMING TO HAVE THE SAME PROBELEM.

THE OIL PAN ON MY VEHICLE IS RUSTING OUT. I THINK THIS IS DUE TO FAULTY MATERIALS. THIS VEHICLE IS 6 YEARS OLD AND ONLY HAS 75,702 MILES AS OF THIS WRITING. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND THEIR POSITION WAS THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES LEFT ON THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HALEY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AIRPORT (LOCATED AT 5400 S LABURNUM AVE, RICHMOND, VA 23231, (804) 663-5337), BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED PUMP WAS INSTALLED BUT PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED.*JB
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.
OCCASIONALLY WHEN DECELERATING ENGINE SHUTS OFF CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES (3) OVER PAST YEAR WHEN ON BOARD CPU STARTED CAUSING SINGLE HEADLIGHT TO STOP FUNCTIONING. THERE ARE NO TRADITIONAL FUSES FOR LIGHTS.
VEHICLE WOULD STALL/DIE WHILE DRIVING. AFTER BEING TOWED TO A SHOP, IT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A FAILED TIPM. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED AT 61K MILES AND IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL/DIE WITHOUT NOTICE. NUMEROUS TIMES THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN INTERSECTION WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED RED, QUIT AND WAS HARD TO RESTART. VEHICLE WOULD ALSO STALL WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC, AGAIN, WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE FIX WAS APPROX $1,200 + TOW BILL (VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN 4TH GEAR AFTER STALLING SEVERAL TIMES).
FUEL PUMP FAILING INTERMITTENTLY. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED A BAD FUEL PUMP RELAY ON THE TIPM. I HAVE FOUND THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND OTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCTS WITH SAME ISSUE HAVE BEEN RECALLED BUT THE RAM TRUCKS WITH THE IDENTICAL PART AND PROBLEM HAVE NOT BEEN RECALLED. FAILURE OF FUEL PUMP WHILE DRIVING COULD CAUSE VEHICLE TO STALL WITH POSSIBILITY OF CRASH CAUSING INJURY OR DEATH. SO FAR THE FUEL PUMP FAILURE HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHEN STARTING BUT I HAVE READ ON FORUMS OF FAILURE DURING DRIVING.
COOL AIR BLOWS ON DRIVERS SIDE AND WARM AIR BLOWS ON PASSENGER SIDE. HEATER DOES NOT GET HOT. JUST BARELY WARM ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.
2012 RAM 1500 WAS REPAIRED ON 11/09/2018 DUE TO 18V160000 FRAME BRACKET ISSUE.. A FEW DAYS AFTER RECALL ACTION OCCURRED THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON SIGNIFYING THE GAS CAP WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DEALER TECH CHECKED AND SAID THERE WAS A SMALL EVAPORATION LEAK BUT THE GAS CAP SEEMED TO BE SEALING OK. DEALER TECH RESET THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT. WEEK LATER LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I BOUGHT A NEW GAS CAP AND REPLACED OLD ONE. RESET THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT. MESSAGE NOW BACK AND I GET NO RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER OR CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SUPPORT. IF THIS IS AN EVAPORATION LEAK IN THIS FUEL SYSTEM I WOULD BELIEVE THIS IS AN ENVIRONMENT ISSUE. HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS RECALL PERFORMED AND FACE THE SAME ISSUE?
VEHICLE FAILS TO START IN THE MORNING. ONCE IT IS STARTED, IT RUNS FINE. IT WILL RESTART IF NOT LEFT MORE THAT 4 HOURS. IT IS PARKED IN A GARAGE AT NIGHT AND THE TEMPRATURE NEVER GETS BELOW FREEZING.

RECALL DATE: 12-20-2017 FCA RECALL # T79 NHTSA RECALL # 17V-821 I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY TRUCK IN FOR SAFETY RECALL TO MULTIPLE DODGE/RAM DEALERSHIPS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES EITHER PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER, IT COULD TAKE MORE THAN 6-9 MONTHS TO GET THE PARTS, AND NOW, I AM BEING TOLD THAT THE REPAIR SHOPS ARE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO PUT IN ORDERS FOR THE RECALL PARTS AND HAVE A BLOCK ON ORDERING. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET AN ESTIMATED TIME AS TO WHEN I CAN EXPECT PARTS TO BECOME AVAILABLE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT COULD TAKE UP TO ANOTHER YEAR OR MORE TO GET THE RECALL FIXED. I WAS TOLD BY EVERY SERVICE ADVISER NOT TO COME IN TO MY APPOINTMENTS OR SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME AT THIS TIME AND DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ORDER PARTS. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL BACK IN 2 MONTHS OR MORE TO CHECK.

DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD, 40 MPH, CLEAR CONDITIONS, ALL THE DASHBOARD ICONS WENT DARK. DIFFICULT TO PULL OVER, STEERING WHEEL SLUGGISH RESPONSE. ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SIDE OF ROAD, PUT VEHICLE INTO PARK, TURNED KEY TO OFF AND THEN BACK ON. TRUCK STARTED BACK UP. ON 10/13, COUNTRY DIRT ROAD, SLOWING DOWN TO 10 MPH, GOING INTO A TURN, NONE OF THE LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD FLASHED, THEY WERE SIMPLY GONE. TRIED BRAKES AND TURNING STEERING WHEEL, DIFFICULT TO TURN. PUT INTO NEUTRAL, AND TURNED THE TRUCK BACK ON, ALL THE DASHBOARD ICONS AND ITEMS CAME BACK ON. ROAD CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR AND DRY. NEXT EVENT WAS TURNING THE TRUCK ON IN THE DRIVEWAY, MORNING OF 10/15. WAS TURNING THE TRUCK ON, AND IT LOST POWER AGAIN. REMOVED KEY, THEN PUT IT BACK IN THE IGNITION, THEN STARTED UP, NO ISSUES. MADE IT TO WORK WITHOUT ISSUE. **** UNSURE IF THIS IS PART OF THE ISSUE OR A SEPARATE ISSUE, BUT BOTH KEY FOBS HAVE STOPPED WORKING ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO. UNABLE TO OPEN/CLOSE DOORS ON THE TRUCK. REPLACED THE BATTERIES WITH EXACT MATCHES OF THE EXISTING BATTERIES, TRIED TO OPEN DOORS WITH BOTH FOBS, NO CHANGE.

IN THE WAREHOUSE AND THEY WONT GIVE ME ONE!!!!MANY PHONE CALLS _2 COMPLAINTS .I SAW ON TV THAT 70% OF THE ACARS ON THE ROAD HAVE RECALLS NO WONDER. THIS IS A BRIEF EXPLATION OF MY PROBLEM.THIS COMPANY IN MY OPINION IS NEGLIGENT. RAM 1500S HAVE AN ISSUE WHERE IMPROPER MATERIALS WERE USED IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD RESULTING IN BOLTS BREAKING OFF AND CAUSING HAZARDOUS EXHAUST LEAKS. MINE CURRENTLY HAS THE SAME ISSUE AND UPON SEARCHING THE INTERNET, IT IS AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM THAT SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT. THE LEAK IS DIAGNOSABLE BY A TICKING COMING FROM THE ENGINE BAY AT START UP FROM WHERE THE HEAT SHIELD ON THE MANIFOLD VIBRATE DUE TO THE BROKEN BOLTS, OFTEN CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK AT THE SITE OF THE BROKEN BOLT.
THE MOST OF THE MANIFOLD BOLTS BROKEN OFF AT 70300 MILES. VERY OBVIOUS MANUFACTURING DEFECT. WONDER WHAT THIS DOES TO THE EPA EMISSIONS REGULATIONS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT FELT AN ABNORMAL JOLT IN THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP, BUT A CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED MODERATE STIFFNESS, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 RAM 1500 EQUIPPED WITH MASTERCRAFT COURSER MT TIRES, SIZE: 35/12.50R17 (NA). WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL TIRE SHOP FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS THE ORIGINAL TIRE FOR THE VEHICLE, BUT THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT USED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.

KNOWN MAJOR ISSUE WITH WITH RAM HEMI 5.7L LIFTERS GOING BAD AND EATING INTO CAMSHAFT. MY TRUCK HAS STARTED THIS PROBLEM AND WILL ONLY GET WORSE WITHOUT MAJOR REPAIRS, CAUSING DECREASE OF ACCELERATION AND EVENTUALLY MOTOR LOCK UP. DODGE/CHRYSLER KNOWS THIS PROBLEM AND, AS YET, HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT.

FOR YEARS NOW, WHILE DRIVING, SOME OF MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS WOULD BE OFF, BUT NOT ALL OF THE TIME. NOW ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE OFF EXCEPT FOR THE SPEEDOMETER. I CAN'T SEE THE GAS GAGE OR TACHOMETER OR TEMPERATURE READINGS. THIS DOESN'T MATTER IF I AM STOPPED OR MOVING.
