WHENEVER I GO TO FILL THE FUEL TANK WITH GAS THE FUEL NOZZLE GETS STUCK ON THE FILLER NECK AND IS REALLY HARD TO GET OFF, I USUALLY HAVE TO HOLD THE VAPOR SYSTEM CAP THAT IS ON THE NOZZLE IN SO IT WILL DISPENSE FUEL AND NOT LOCK ON FILLER NECK, I HAVE READ THIS WAS AN ISSUE WITH 2015 MODEL BUT MINE IS A 2014 AND I CANT EVEN LET MY WIFE OR DAUGHTER FILL TRUCK WITH GAS BECAUSE THEY CANT REMOVE FROM FILLER NECK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY AND THEN DECREASED WITH A KNOCKING NOISE PRESENT. FURTHERMORE, WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT TEXAS DODGE (7800 I-40 FRONTAGE RD, AMARILLO, TX 79106, (806) 353-6343) PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V332000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED AGAIN, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000. *DT*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND AN ABNORMAL ODOR WAS DETECTED. THE VEHICLE STALLED, BUT WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, OPENED THE HOOD, AND SAW FLAMES COMING FROM THE BACK OF THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE WHEN COLD. ONCE VEHICLE WARMS UP IT WILL WORK. AFRAID THE STEERING WILL FAIL WHILE DRIVING. KNOWN PROBLEM BY DODGE AND CHRYSLER. 2015 RAMS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SAME ISSUE I UNDERSTAND. CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY 2014 IS NOT INCLUDED. THANKS FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE WITH THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
FUEL SENSORS SHOWS LOW FUEL SHORTLY ANFTER FILLING UP. SYSTEM FAILURE STARTED AROUND 60,000 MILES.
2014 DODGE RAM. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DIESEL WATER PUMP SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE RECALL REPAIR REQUIRED 2 APPOINTMENTS. THIS CONSUMER FELT THIS WAS DANGEROUS IF THE VEHICLE REQUIRED THE WATER PUMP TO BE REPLACED. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CLAMPS FRACTURED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE WAS FILLED WITH EXHAUST FUMES. SUNSET DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM FIAT (7745 S TAMIAMI TRAIL, SARASOTA, FL 34231, (941) 922-2400) STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT AUTHORIZED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE SET OF BOLTS; THEREFORE, THEY ONLY REPLACED THE FRACTURED BOLTS. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLACE ALL OF THE BOLTS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
ON THE PUSH BUTTON START WHENEVER YOU CLOSE A DOOR AN ALARM GOES OFF STATING CAN'T FIND KEY FOB. JUST PUT A NEW BATTERY IN KEY FOB AND IT STILL DOES IT. WHEN THAT HAPPENS WILL NOT START AND WHEN RUNNING THE ALARM STILL GOES OFF IF A DOOR IS CLOSED, SO YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF ENGINE AND USE MANUAL OVER RIDE TO START AGAIN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V757000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); HOWEVER, THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND NOTICED FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH WATER. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD MELTED AND CAUSED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, INVESTIGATED THE FAILURE, AND OPENED A CASE; HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER DENIED THE CLAIM AFTER THE INVESTIGATION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
SINCE DAY ONE OF BUYING THIS VEHICLE IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR AIR SUSPENSION PROBLEMS SOMETIMES FOR A FEW WEEKS AT A TIME. SEEMS LIKE NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DIAG THE SYSTEM BECAUSE IT WAS ALWAYS DARTS THROWN AND NO PROBLEMS EVER FIXED, THEY HAVE REPLACED AIRBAGS, COMPRESSOR, CHARGED THE SYSTEM, REPROGRAMMED/CALIBRATED THE SYSTEM AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY FUSES! IVE GOTTEN AIR SUSPENSION CODES LEFT AND RIGHT WITH COMPRESSOR TEMP CODES... THE MAIN CONCERN IS THE WAY THIS VEHICLE DRIVES WHEN IT FALLS ON BUMP STOPS AND CHANGES THE CAMBER OF THE TIRES ( HAS RUINED A BRAND NEW SET OF TIRES DUE TO INSIDE TIRE WEAR ON BOTH FRONT ) TIRES ARE SCREECHING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, BOUNCES WHILE TURNING AND HITTING SMALL BUMPS... WELL THAT JUST MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU GOT IN A CRASH WHEN IT THROWS YOU AROUND OUT OF SEAT! THATS EVEN AT LOWER SPEEDS AROUND 40-45 MPH! I ABSOLUTELY FEAR FOR MY LIFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND AT FREEWAY SPEEDS ITS JUST PLAYING WITH THE DEVIL. ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED BY THIS HORRIBLE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM! THE PROBLEM IS NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE... WELL UNLESS IT WAS THEIR FAMILY MEMBER.THE SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED TO FAIL WHEN THEY PUT A COMPRESSOR BEHIND THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL THAT FLINGS WATER, SNOW, SALT AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE ROAD RIGHT AT IT AND PUT SOME THIN COVER OVER IT AND SAY IT " PROTECTS " IT! I SURE HOPE THEY DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED, BECAUSE ITS NOT FAIR TO ME OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO HAVE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND KNOW EVERYDAY WHEN GOING TO WORK THAT IT COULD BE MY LAST OR SOMEONES ELSE'S LAST! IVE GIVEN DEALERS SHOT AFTER SHOT YEAR AFTER YEAR, BUT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ASAP
ENGINE TROUBLE: TOP END DAMAGE TO LIFTERS/CAMSHAFT. I REPLACED THE ENTIRE ENGINE
UNABLE TO FILL GAS TANK WHEN PUMPING GAS PAID THE DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM TO HAVE THEM SAY THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER TILL DEC AND THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE . IT IS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE WHEN TRYING TO GET GAS FOR THE VEHICLE CAUSE IT TAKES SO LONG TO FILL TANK AND NEED TO PUMP IT SO SLOW OR IT KICKS THE PUMP OFF.
I WAS DRIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS PULLING A BOAT ON A FISHING TRIP. COMING OFF THE LAST PASS INTO GUNNISON COLORADO, I HEARD KNOCKING HEARD A BIG BANG. THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN FOR LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. COULDN'T START IT, COULDN'T GET IT INTO NATURAL. GOT IT TO A DIESEL SHOP FIGURED IT SPUN A ROD BEARING. I DID NOT KNOW THAT WHEN A VIEHICAL COMES DOWN FROM CANADA, IT LOSES ITS DRIVETRAIN WARRANTY! WE ARE ALL NORTH AMERICAN! WHAT EXACTLY IS BOTH OF THESE PROBLEMS?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEARING FRACTURED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BOERNE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (30300 I-10, BOERNE, TX 78006, (830) 443-9153 AND (830) 443-9432) WHO REPLACED THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BEARING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,389.
CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE ENGINE FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. IT THREW A ROD THROUGH THE ENGINE BLOCK RESULTING INSTANT LOSS OF POWER. HOT OIL BEING BLOWN OUT OF THE HOLE AND ALL OVER THE ENGINE AND ONTO THE TURBO AND EXHAUST, RESULTED IN A UNDER-HOOD FIRE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT, BUT IT SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NEWARK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (244 E CLEVELAND AVE, NEWARK, DE 19711, (800)-653-0535) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
2014 DODGE RAM 1500 BIG HORN CREW CAB WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION, AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET (25-30 MPH), IT BROAD SIDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THE RAM WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.

IN 3 YEARS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE INDICATOR HAVE CAME ON AT LEAST 14 TIMES. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE TRUCK GOES INTO LIMP MODE AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. EACH TIME THE DEALERSHIPS WHO REPRESENT RAM PRODUCTS HAVE PERFORMED DIFFERENT WORK AND SAID IT WAS FIXED. THEY HAVE FLASHED THE SOFTWARE, CHANGED TURBO PRESSURE SWITCH, PERFORMED MANUAL REGEN ON EXHAUST SYSTEM, CHANGED AIR FILTER, CHANGED THE TURBO TWICE, CHANGED THE FUEL FILTERS, TIGHTENED HOSES AND NOTHING STOPS THE PROBLEM FROM RETURNING. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND IS HAPPENING ON THOUSANDS OF RAM 1500 ECODIESEL PICKUPS. UNTIL NOW IT WAS JUST AN INCONVIENANCE BUT THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS TURNING ONTO A HIGHWAY WHEN IT WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND ALMOST GOT RAN OVER BY A LOGGING TRUCK. HAD THE LOG TRUCK BEEN LOADED WITH LOGS I PROBABLY WOULD BE DEAD BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD HAVE AVOIDED A COLLISION IF HE WERE LOADED. I TOOK THE TRUCK STRAIGHT TO A RAM DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE HAD IT FOR OVER A MONTH TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR CHRYSLER TO SELL $50,000.00 TRUCKS THAT CAN'T BE FIXED AND ARE GOING TO GET PEOPLE KILLED.
OIL LEAKING FROM 2014 3.6L V6 ENGINE OIL FILTER HOUSING ADAPTER
THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING AND SITTING STILL I WAS IN A LINE OF CARS. I PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE FROM PARK AND IT STARTED GOING IN REVERSE WHILE THE ENGINE IS REVVING I HAD TO USE BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO GET IT STOPPED AND IT CONTINUED TO TRY AND GO IN REVERSE. I FINALLY GOT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND LET THE ENGINE STOP REVVING. I THEN TRIED TO PUT IT IN DRIVE AND COULDN'T GET IT TO SHIFT. HAD TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN TO GET IT TO GO IN DRIVE. IT IS UNKNOWN WHAT CAUSED THIS AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE CAUSE COULD HAVE BEEN. IT WAS A VERY UNSAFE SITUATION SINCE THERE WAS A CAR IN FRONT AND A CAR BEHIND THE TRUCK WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT THANKFULLY. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK AS FAR AS LIGHTS COMING ON AND OFF WHEN IT IS SETTING IN THE DRIVEWAY NO KEYS IN IT AND NO ONE TOUCHING IT. IT WILL HONK AND THE DOORS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK REALLY FAST AGAIN WITH NO ONE NEAR IT AND THE KEYS HANGING UP. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS AND NO ONE CAN FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT HAS HAD ALL 12 RECALLS FIXED.
2014 RAM 1500 LARAMIE ECODIESEL THROWING FAULT CODE P203E REDUCTANT LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC. THIS FAULT IS CAUSED BY CRYSTALLIZED DIESEL EXHUAST FLUID (DEF) ON THE INTEGRATED SENSOR IN THE DEF TANK. THE SENSOR IS UNABLE TO DETECT THE AMOUNT OF FLUID IN TANK AND WILL SHUT DOWN ENGINE AFTER 500 MILES IF THE TANK IS NOT REPLACED. I DO BELIEVE AFTER EXTENSIVE RESEARCH THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT RECALLS FOR THIS FAULT WHICH ARE: NUMBER: 18-038-15 REV. B AND NUMBER: 25-001-15 REV A. THE FIRST ONE COVERS A PCM FLASH FOR THE 2015 RAM AND 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. IN THE NOTES IT SAYS THAT THIS IS FOR ALL 3 LITER 8 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS. WHICH SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE A 2014 RAM ECODIESEL. THE SECOND ONE IF FOR 2014-15 RAM 2500,3500+ WITH 6.7L DIESEL ENGINES. THE ISSUE I HAVE WITH THAT IS MY VEHICLE IS HAVING THAT EXACT ISSUE AND NEEDS THE SAME SERVICES BUT IT HAS A 3 LITER ENGINE.
I HAVE 2 ISSUES TO REPORT ON THIS VEHICLE 1) THE TRUCK HAS LEFT US STRANDED TWICE AND REQUIRED A RIDE ON A ROLL BACK (WHO KNEW A LITTLE 1/2 TON PICKUP IS TOO BIG FOR MOST TOW TRUCKS). IN BOTH CASES WE HAD STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT ON A SLIGHT INCLINE OR DECLINE. THEN WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED WE MADE A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN INTO A DECLINE OR INCLINE AND STALLED OUT. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I THOUGHT IT WAS A CLOGGED FUEL FILTER, BUT DIDN'T THINK TO TRY PRIMING THE FUEL SYSTEM AND RESTARTING BEFORE REPLACING THE FILTER. THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 1000 MILES LATER I POURED 5 GALLONS OF DIESEL IN, PRIMED THE FUEL SYSTEM AND IT RESTARTED. I THEN FILLED THE TANK AND REALIZED THAT THERE WAS ABOUT 5 GALLONS LEFT WHEN IT STALLED. THIS CAUSED ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE FUEL WAS SLOSHING AROUND THE PUMP IN SCENARIOS AS DESCRIBED. WE LATER REALIZED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT DROP BELOW A 1/4 TANK AND NO LOW FUEL LIGHTS APPEAR. THE TRUCK WAS LATER DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A FAULTING FUEL SENDING UNIT. 2) THE SECOND ISSUE IS AT 51K MILES WE HAD A MAJOR DEF EMISSION SYSTEM FAILURE. THE FIRST EVENT PROVIDED 500 MILES OF WARNING BEFORE THE TRUCK WOULD NOT RESTART. IT COST $2855 TO REPLACE A FAULT DEF TANK/SENSOR. THE SECOND TIME ONLY 1000 MILES LATER WE ONLY HAD 200 MILES WARNING AND COST $716 TO REPLACE A NOX SENSOR AND MODULE. IN BOTH CASES WE DROVE THE TRK TO A DEALER, BUT BOTH DEALERSHIPS REFUSED TO COVER IT UNDER THE 96MONTH/80,000 MILE "MAJOR EMISSION COMP WARRANTY." I'VE HAVE REPORTED BOTH ISSUE TO FCA VIA THEIR WEBSITE. NHTAS/ODI HAS MY PERMISSION TO RELEASE MY NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION TO FCA TO DISCUSS SPECIFICS OF THIS ISSUE.
MY DEF GAUGE IS NOT WORKING. THE DEF TANK IS FULL BUT THE GAUGE SAYS MY TRUCK WILL NOT RESTART IN 100 MILES. I HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND IT WILL COST OVER $3500 TO FIX THIS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME MY DEF SYSTEM HAS NOT WORKED ON THIS TRUCK AND I HAVE HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT CHANGE GEARS AND DID NOT SHIFT IN THE UPWARD POSITION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWO OTHER TIMES IN ONE MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO JANSSEN CHRYSLER/JEEP/DODGE/RAM (3101 S JEFFERS STREET, NORTH PLATTE, NE 69101) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 151,441. *TR
LONG CRANK TIMES BEFORE STARTING STARVED OF FUEL LIKE IT IS OUT AM TOLD IT WILL COST AROUND $1000 TO FIX IT TIMP .A RELAY FOR THE FUEL PUMP.ALSO HAVE ISSUE WITH CRUISE ALREADY REPLACED IT ONLY 60000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.
I'VE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION ON MY 2014 DODGE RAM LONGHORN AND I FEAR THIS PROBLEM COULD RESULT INTO A MAJOR ISSUE FOR MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN. I'VE LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP! I DON'T WANT THIS ISSUE TO HAVE ANY CATASTROPHIC PROBLEMS FOR MYSELF AND MY KIDS THAT I TAKE TAKE TO AND FROM SCHOOL. ALSO THIS VEHICLE HAS TO GET ME TO AND FROM WORK. PLEASE RESPOND AND HELP. THE FIRST TIME OF THE MALFUNCTION MYSELF AND KIDS WHERE IN MOTION HEADED TO SCHOOL AND THE REAR SUSPENSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT. THE TRUCK WAS BOUNCING VERY HARD AND WE COULD FEEL EVERY BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE SECOND TIME I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING TO WORK AND IT DID THE SAME THING. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED TOW TRUCK AND MY HUSBAND HAD TO PICK ME UP AND DRIVE ME TO WORK. THE THIRD TIME I WAS HEADED TO TAKE MY KIDS TO SCHOOL AND THE TRUCK WAS LOW ON THE GROUND SO I STARTED IT TO SEE IF IT WOULD RISE UP BUT NOTHING HAPPENED AND IT WAS STILL DRIVING REALLY BAD MAKING EVERY BUMP FEEL LIKE I WOULD LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND I NEED HELP.
8/18/18 AT ABOUT 1:15 PM WHILE TRAVELING SOUTH ON US 220 IN THE LEFT LANE IN THE CITY OF WILLIAMSPORT PA DURING A CLOUDY BUT DRY DAY AT 55 MPH, THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHICH DISABLED MY VEHICLE AND DID APPROXIMATELY $4500 DAMAGE. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE TIRE WAS A GOODYEAR WRANGLER SR-A SIZE 275-60-20. THE TIRE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR OLD WITH 8/32 TREAD REMAINING AT TIME OF THE BLOW OUT. I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING TO CAUSE THE BLOWOUT. AFTER THE BLOW OUT, I PULLED OVER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY IN THE MEDIAN TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE. I THEN LIMPED THE TRUCK BACK TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND INTO THE GRASS TO GET TO A SAFE LOCATION FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. AT THAT POINT, I PROCEEDED TO REMOVE THE TIRE AND INSTALL THE SPARE AT WHICH POINT IT THEN STARTED RAINING. I BELIEVE THE SAFETY RISK WAS THE GOODYEAR TIRE. THE TIRE HAS BEEN SENT TO GOODYEAR TO EXAMINE. THEY STATED THERE WAS NO FACTORY DEFECT, HOWEVER, THEY REFUSED TO SEND ME A COPY OF THEIR REPORT DESPITE NUMEROUS REQUESTS. I STILL HAVE THE TIRE IN MY POSSESSION. GOODYEAR ALSO REFUSED TO PROVIDE ANY KIND OF WARRANTY COVERAGE DESPITE THE FACT THE BLOW OUT OCCURRED WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND MILEAGE. I DO HAVE A DASH CAM VIDEO OF THE BLOW OUT HOWEVER IT IS IN .MOV FORMAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD IT - I CAN PROVIDE A CD UPON REQUEST. MORE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE THAN WHAT I WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE IN THIS COMPLAINT.
POWER STEERING FAILURE - IN MOTION - ON A CITY STREET - WHILE TURNING. VEHICLE IS OUT OF INITIAL WARRANTY (STILL UNDER 100K MILE) - BUT A MAJOR COMPONENT SUCH AS POWER STEERING SHOULD NOT BE FAILING AT 83,828 ODOMETER MILES. THE ENTIRE GEAR RACK HAS TO BE REPLACED AND THE TOTAL BILL WAS $2735.85. CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS YET TO PROVIDE ANY DETAILS EXPLAINING MANUFACTURER LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THE PART. THIS VEHICLE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND WELL CARED FOR - THUS THE SUBSEQUENT PHONE CALLS TO BUY MY VEHICLE FROM THE DODGE DEALERSHIP. YET, THERE IS NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THIS PART SHOULD NOT BE FAILING AT THIS EARLY MILEAGE OR THAT THEY WILL HELP ME. THERE WAS A WIRING HARNESS ISSUE WITH THIS SAME VEHICLE THAT WAS RESOLVED UNDER WARRANTY AT APPROX 30K MILES. MY VEHICLE IS PAID FOR.
ENGINE MAKING TICKING NOISE AT AROUND 22000 MILES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ASKED THE DEALERSHIP WHAT THE NOISE COULD BE IN DAY REPLY BACK SAYING THAT IT'S JUST THE HEMI ENGINE NOISE AND IT'S NORMAL. I'VE CAME BACK A FEW TIMES AND MENTION THE NOISE AGAIN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THAT IT WAS GETTING LOUDER AND LONGER LASTING AT COLD STARTS THEY INFORMED ME IT WAS STILL NORMAL HEMI NOISES. I'VE RESEARCHED AND LOOKED INTO IT AND FOUND IT TO BE AN EXHAUST ISSUE ON THE MANIFOLD DUE TO THE STUDS BREAKING AND SPOKE TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A COMMON DEFECT AND THEY INFORMED ME IT WOULD BE OVER $1,000 REPAIR AND WAS NOT COVERED DO TO MY TRUCK COMING FROM CANADA AND ALL MY WARRANTY WAS VOIDED I'VE COMPLAINED SEVERAL SEVERAL TIMES TO SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE UNDER THE FEDERAL MANDATED WARRANTY AND THEY SAID NOTHING AND THE TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 47,000 MILES AND THE NOISE IS GETTING WORSE BY THE DAY. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE 2010 2011 WITH THE HEMI ENGINES AND MANUFACTURER WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT REPAIRING OR CORRECTING THE ISSUES! A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED ON THESE DEFECTIVE PARTS! I HAVE CALLED THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT, CHRYSLER THEMSELVES RECALL DEPARTMENT AND NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP AND PRETTY MUCH TELL ME I'M OUT OF LUCK!
IN MAY 2018 FUEL SENSOR FAIL I HAD TO COME OUT OF MY POCKET TO REPLACE. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK LANDMARK DODGE IN MORROW GA. I ONLY HAD IT FOR A YEAR, ALONG WITH THE FAKE WARRANTY THAT TURN OUT TO BE NO GOOD. I FELT LIKE THEY STOLE MONEY FROM ME THEY DID NOT WORK FOR. NOW TODAY I HAD TO COME OUT OF MY POCKET AGAIN TO PAY FOR A BAD TIPM WITH A BAD FUEL PUMP RELAY. I THOUGHT THAT IF I GET THE TRUCK FROM THE DEALER, IT WOULD BE A FEW YEARS BEFORE START HAVING PROBLEM WITH IT. I EMAIL DODGE SUPPORT ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE NOT RECEIVE A EMAIL FROM OTHER THAN THEY RECEIVE MY COMPLAINT. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
A DRIVER AND PASSENGER STOPPED NEAR AN EXIT GATE. THE GATE IS OLD AND TAKES TWO PEOPLE TO CLOSE AND LOCK. AFTER THE DRIVER STOPPED, THE VEHICLE WAS PLACE IN "PARK" BUT LEFT RUNNING, AND THE DRVIER GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE TO ASSIST IN CLOSING THE GATE. AFTER CLOSING THE GATE, THEY TURNED AROUND AND SAW THE VEHICLE MOVING, IT ROLLED DOWN AN APPROXIMATELY 10 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND ROLLED ABOUT 50 FEET HITTING A PIPE RAIL FENCE WENT OVER THE FENCE AND LANDED 10 FEET DOWN PAST THE PIPE RAIL AND STOPPED ON TOP OF LARGE RIP-RAP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THIS THE SECOND TIME THIS VEHICLE HAS ROLLED WHILE IN 'PARK' WITHIN THE PAST ELEVEN DAYS.
MAJOR FUEL SYSTEM LEAK DUE TO FUEL LINE FAILURE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SUCH A FAILURE HAS OCCURRED AND IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD AS THE LEAK RESULTED IN FUEL RUNNING DOWN BACK OF ENGINE NEAR TURBO AND CATALYST.
THE ASSIST HANDLE HAS A LEAK WHEN RAINS HARD. REMOVED TO SEE WHERE IT IS LEAKING AND THERE IS AN AIRBAG THERE. IT ALSO LEAKS ALL OVER THE FLOOR THAT CAN EVENTUALLY LEAD TO STRUCTURAL ISSUES
I SCHEDULED AN APPNT. AT 8:30 A.M. TO THE DEALERSHIP ON NORTHLAKE BLVD. IN LAKE PARK, FL AND THEY NEVER DID ANY RECALL REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE NOR CALLED AND SAID THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE WHEN I PICKED IT UP APPROX. 3:35 P.M. I WAS GIVEN THE RUNAROUND AFTER MAKING REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO GET THE STATUS OF MY VEHICLE VIA TELEPHONE AT 1:30 P.M. AND AGAIN AT 3:00 P.M. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO VOICE MAILS OF PEOPLE WHO HAD ALREADY LEFT FOR THE DAY. FINALLY, WHEN I ARRIVED FOR MY VEHICLE AND SPOKE WITH ALBERTO, HE SAID THEY CLOSE AT 4 AND HE'S THE PERSON I SPOKE TO AROUND 1:30 WHO SAID MY VEHICLE WOULD BE READY AROUND 3:00. NO ONE MADE ANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT ME ABOUT MY TRUCK SINCE 8:30, SATURDAY MORNING WHICH IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
MY DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WILL COLLECT SIGNIFICANT WATER INSIDE HE ASSEMBLY. IT WILL FOG OVER SO BAD THAT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE HEADLIGHT IS SERIOUSLY DIMINISHED. THIS CAUSES POOR NIGHT VISION. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARDS. OTHER ONCOMING DRIVERS WILL FLASH ME THINKING I HAVE MY HIGH RAMS ON. VISIBILITY ON THE DRIVERS SIDE IS SEVERELY IMPEDED. I HAVE REMOVED THE ASSEMBLY AND POURED OUT 1/2 CUP OF WATER FROM THE VENT OPENING.
I STARTED GETTING A TICKING IN MY MOTOR AROUND 60K MILES. I TOOK IT TO TYLER'S CHRYSLER JEEP AND RAM IN NILES MICHIGAN FOR TWO RECALLS, THE TICKING SOUND ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, AND A POSSIBLE REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKING. THE SERVICE WRITER TOLD ME THEY PUT DYE IN THE OIL AND I HAD TO BRING IT BACK AND RECOMMENDED I REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS FOR THE TICKING BUT DID PUT IN MY FILE WHY HE WAS RECOMMENDING IT. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO MY NORMAL MECHANIC FOR THE TICKING SOUND AGAIN AND NE SAYS I HAVE BROKEN EXHAUST STUDS. NOW I AM 2 MONTHS OUTSIDE OF MY WARRANTY AND THE DEALERSHIP WON'T COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE SERVICE WRITER COULDN'T DO HIS JOB. IN DO RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE, APPARENTLY BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS ARE SO COMMON ON THESE TRUCKS THAT REPLACING THEM IS CONSIDERED STANDARD MAINTANANCE???
WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AFTER PUTTING IT INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY WENT INTO REVERSE. THE DOOR KNOCKED ME DOWN AS I WAS CAUGHT IN THE SHOULDER SEAT BELT AND DRAGGED ME APPROXIMATELY 15 FEET. AFTER BEING RELEASED, THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO CONTINUE IN REVERSE AND RAN INTO A STOREFRONT. I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH MINOR INJURIES AS NO ONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS IN THE PAST WITH THE ELECTRONIC GEAR SHIFT, SPECIFICALLY WHEN MOVING IT FROM DRIVE TO PARK. SOMETIMES IT SEEMS TO GET STUCK IN REVERSE EVEN THOUGH THE INDICATOR LIGHT IS SHOWING PARK.

I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE A $120 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO CHECK IT OUT. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS SAME ISSUE. I FEEL THAT IT SHOULD BE CHECKED AT NO CHARGE TO ME AS IT REPRESENTS A TRUE SAFETY HAZARD IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY, ESPECIALLY WHEN NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE ON MY 2014 DODGE RAM IS 86000. I CANNOT FIND A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THERE IS NOT A PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN APPROXIMATELY 3 WEEKS AGO.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST RESULT AND PERFORMED A GOOGLE SEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE PART TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONTACTED THE DEALER TO VERIFY IF THE TEMPORARY FIX WAS AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS THEN NOTIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE TEMPORARY FIX WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER 2020. THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE NHTSA HOTLINE FOR ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
I HAD MY TRUCK AT THE DEALER FOR A RECALL, I NOTICED MY SEATBELT WASN'T LOCKING WHEN I PULLED ON THE SHOULDER STRAP. I ASKED THEM TO LOOK INTO THIS WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS THERE. THEY DID, SAID THE SEATBELT WAS DEFECTIVE, BUT CHRYSLER WAS NOT GOING TO COVER THIS. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW NONE OF MY SEATBELT SHOULDER STRAPS LOCK WHEN YOU PULL ON THEM FAST. I HAVE A CREW CAB TRUCK SO THAT IS 5 SEATBELTS WITH SHOULDER STRAPS. MY DEALERSHIP WAS ON THE PHONE WITH CHRYSLER FOR OVER AN HOUR TRYING TO GET THEM TO COVER THIS SAFETY DEFECT, THEY JUST KEPT SAYING NO, TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY. AFTER READING ALL THESE COMPLAINTS, WILL MY AIRBAGS DEPLOY IF I'M IN AN ACCIDENT? I DON'T KNOW AND HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO FIND OUT THE HARD WAY. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME DRIVING OR STANDING STILL. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE SEATBELTS ARE DEFECTIVE. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ASAP, NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A SAFETY ISSUE.
