THERE IS A VERY STRONG DIESEL EXHAUST SMELL IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. THIS IS SO STRONG MY WIFE IS UNABLE TO RIDE IN THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE NAUSEA IT CAUSES HER. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. EVERYONE THAT HAS RIDDEN IN MY TRUCK, EXCEPT ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DODGE DEALER I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FOR REPAIR, ASKS WHAT IS CAUSING THE SMELL. THE DODGE DEALER SAYS THEY CAN NOT SMELL ANYTHING. FROM RESEARCHING THIS ON THE INTERNET I KNOW NUMEROUS OTHER OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND CONCERNS. DODGE SEEMS UNWILLING TO WORK WITH ME AND I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO CHECK OUT MY CONCERNS AND SEE IF IT WARRANTS AN OFFICIAL RECALL. THIS IS ON THE NEW 3.0L ECO-DIESEL ENGINE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWN A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V392000 (BRAKES). HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT MY TRUCK HAD A RECALL (P37) I CONTACTED CHRYSLER SERVICE, THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT. DIDN'T HAVE SUCH A RECALL? DO YOU JUST MAKE UP THESE NUMBERS? WOULDN'T CHRYSLER TELL YOU ABOUT THE PROBLEM? WHAT GIVES??????? *TR
AFTER CAR WASH OR RAIN AREA UNDER REAR SEAT HAS WATER IN IT I HAVE REMOVED REAR SEAT AND REAR CAB LINER AND FOUND THAT THE EXHAUSTER-BODYSIDE APERTURE - MOPAR (68157351AD) I HAVE CALLED FCI MORE THEN 1 TIME AND NOTHING . THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED FROM 6 MONTHS OF ME OWNING THE TRUCK
PARKING SENSORS GO OFF WITH NOTHING IN FRONT, WHEN WET. THERE WAS A STAR CLASS ON THIS. THEY EXCHANGED THE SENSORS LEFT TO RIGHT. THE ISSUE FOLLOWED THE SENSORS. DEALER WANTS TO HAVE THE VEHICLE WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURS, AS THEY CAN NOT REPLICATE IN SHOP. WHEN IT HAPPENS, I CAN'T GET TO SHOP. HAS BEEN IN SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES. NOW VEHICLE IS OUT OF REGULAR WARRANTY, BUT STILL ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
OIL LEAKS AT THE FILTER. FILTER HAS BEEN UPGRADED AND NOW A YEAR LATER IS STILL LEAKING. DEALERSHIP IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS CHANGED THE OIL. IT IS DUE TO GO BACK IN TOMORROW, THURSDAY JULY,30TH.
MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE HAD A FRONT LEFT HEADLIGHT THAT WAS OUT. STOPPED BY POLICE, WENT TO DEALER NEXT DAY, THEY SAID THEY SEE THIS ACROSS MODEL LINE. BRAND NEW CAR . WAS CONCERNED HOW DARK ROAD WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT..NEVER THOUGHT ON A BRAND NEW CAR THIS WOULD OCCUR ! *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SIDE WALLS ON THE FRONT TIRES WERE TOO THIN AND WERE MANUFACTURED TO SIT TOO CLOSE TO THE GROUND. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE SIDEWALL, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE TIRES BLEW OUT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND FAILED TO RESPOND. IN ADDITION, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO TURN OR STOP. NECESSARY TO TURN OFF ENGINE START AND PUT INTO GEAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED 18 TIMES TO DATE. I HAVE A 4 PAGE DOCUMENT DETAILING EACH TIME, PLACE, AND OCCURANCE. IF I HAD AN ADDRESS TO SENT TO. I AM IN A SMALL TOWN SO HAVE NOR HAS ANY TRAFFIC PROBLEMS BUT IF I GO TO A LARGE CITY THIS WOULD BE BAD TO STOP AND RESTART VEHICLE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. HAVE HAD TO DEALERS TWICE. I PULLED OUT OF PARKING LOT INTO STREET. I FELT LIKE WHAT WAS A FLAT TIRE. THERE WAS VIBRATION AND LOUD THUMPS. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TO CHECK MY TIRES. TO MY SURPRISE I FOUND MY TIRES TO BE INTACT AND LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK AND FOUND THE DRIVE SHAFT HAD FALLEN. GOOD THING I WAS ONLY DOING ABOUT 10 MPH AND NOT 60-70 ON THE HIGHWAY. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED RAM AND THEY TOWED MY VEHICLE TO THE NEAREST DEALER. THE DEALER IS NOT VERY INFORMATIVE AS TO WHAT HAPPENED AND CHRYSLER GROUP IS NOT GIVING THIS INCIDENT THE PROPER ATTENTION IT DESERVES. 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED ON TWO OCCASIONS, WHEN HE SLOWED DOWN TO A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION WENT INTO NEUTRAL, AND THE VEHICLE COASTED DOWN TO A STOP. THE TRANSMISSION KNOB WOULD NOT OUT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE AND IT STAYED IN NEUTRAL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE AIR PRESSURE WAS LOW IN THE TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DETERMINED THAT AIR WAS LEAKING FROM THE TIRES. THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK WAS UNDETERMINED. NO FAILURE WAS FOUND WITH THE TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
ON JULY 30TH I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 RAM 1500 THOUGH AN INTERSECTION AND GOT HIT BY ANOTHER TRUCK GOING THROUGH THE LIGHT (PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE). THIS SPUN MY TRUCK SIDEWAYS AND ROLLED IT 2 OR 3 TIMES ABOUT 50 FEET. AT THIS POINT THE TRUCK WAS LAYING ON ITS PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. AFTER LOOKING OVER THE VEHICLE, I NOTICED THAT THE ONLY AIRBAG THAT WENT OFF WAS THE DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN. THERE WERE 5 PEOPLE IN THE TRUCK AND ONLY ONE SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES. MY MOTHER HAD A BROKEN NECK AND BACK AND ENDED UP SPENDING ABOUT A MONTH IN THE HOSPITAL. THE OTHER 3 PEOPLE IN THE CAR WERE MY 2 CHILDREN AND WIFE. I HAVE HAD 16 INCIDENTS WITH MY 2014 RAM 1500, VIN# [XXX]. EQUIPPED WITH AN EIGHT-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. WHEN I SLOWED DOWN FOR A STOP TO TURN RIGHT, THE TRANSMISSION WENT INTO NEUTRAL AND THE TRUCK COASTED DOWN TO A STOP. THE TRANSMISSION KNOB WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE AND THE TRANSMISSION STAYED IN NEUTRAL. WHEN I STOPPED AND TURNED OFF MOTOR, I COULD TURN TRANSMISSION SHIFTER TO PARK, START TRUCK AND SHIFT INTO DRIVE. THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 5 WEEKS APART. BOTH TIMES I WAS ON A CITY STREET AND IT WAS NOT A TRAFFIC PROBLEM. CURRENT MILEAGE 7455. I CALLED MY DEALER AND HE SAID HE HAD NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM, AND SAID IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN TO HAVE TO TOWED TO HIM. I LIVE 150 MILES FROM HIM. MY CLOSEST DEALER IS 60 MILES. MY 2014 DODGE RAM HEMI TRUCK IS LIKE THE MOTOR IS JUST STALLING OUT IT LOOSES ALL POWER AND SLOWS DOWN. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RESTART THE MOTOR IT WILL JUST AUTOMATICALLY START RUNNING. WHEN I LET OFF THE GAS PEDDLE IT WAS JUST LIKE IT HAD STARTED BACK. IT DID THIS ON ME 4 MORE TIMES WHILE ON MY WAY TO AND FROM WHERE I WAS GOING. I CALLED THE PLACE WHERE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK AND TRIED TO GET THEM TO LET ME STOP BY AND CHECK THE TRUCK BECAUSE I WAS ONLY ABOUT 5 MILES AWAY AND THE SERVICE MAN TOLD ME THEY WERE TO BUSY THAT HE HAD NO ONE TO CHECK IT OUT THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO SET ME UP AN APPOINTMENT WHICH HE DID FOR THIS COMING FRIDAY A WEEK FROM THE DAY THIS HAPPENED. WHEN IT STALLED WHEN I WAS GETTING ON THE EXPRESSWAY THIS REALLY SCARED ME WHEN I HAD TO SWING BACK INTO THE ENTRANCE LANE AS THE TRACTOR TRAILER WENT BY. TO ME THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED IMMEDIATELY. I PULLED UP IN MY DRIVEWAY. I SHIFTED MY GEAR INTO PARK. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BREAK OPEN THE DOOR & STEP OUT OF THE TRUCK AT THAT TIME THE TRUCK STARTED TO ROLL AWAY. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HIT ME IN THE BACK, THE DRIVER SIDE TIRE ROLLED OVER MY LEFT ANKLE 1ST I THEN FELL TO THE GROUND WHILE I WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND THE SAME TIRE ROLLED OVER MY RIGHT ANKLE. THE TRUCK THEN JUMPED THE CURB & RAN INTO A WALL WITH MY GRANDMOTHER INSIDE OF THE TRUCK. *JS

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOG LIGHTS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND FUNCTIONED AS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, WHO REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE CYLINDER HEAD AND INTAKE VALVE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS AND THERE WAS NO CONTROL OVER THE SPEED WHILE GOING UP A MOUNTAIN. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. THE PROBLEM RECURRED FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,300.
WHILE DRIVING AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 25 TO 30 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED. THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN THE SAME DAY. IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN AT RANDOM UP UNTIL THE PRESENT USUALLY WHEN COASTING OR TURNING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT 2,307 MILES AND CODES P0171 AND P0174 WERE FOUND AND BOTH OXYGEN SENSORS WERE REPLACED. THREE DAYS AFTER REPAIR TRUCK CONTINUES TO STALL. HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE FIVE TIMES AND NO OTHER REPAIRS MADE BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON AGAIN. INVOICE SHOWS THAT THERE IS A STORED CODE, P0884, BUT SINCE IT IS NOT ACTIVE THEY WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED OR PAID TO REPAIR THE TRUCK. THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS STORED CODE IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING THAT THE TRUCK DOES, STALLS WHEN TURNING OR COASTING AT A SPEED OF 20-30 MPH. I GUESS MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMER SAFETY. *TR
HORRIBLE ODOR IN THE CAB, WHICH CAUSED MY WIFE, MY TWO TEENAGE DAUGHTERS, AND MYSELF TO ALL HAVE AT LEAST ONE FORM OF THE FOLLOWING, VOMITING, NAUSEA, HEADACHE, BURNING EYES AND THROAT. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO THE MANUFACTURER, AS THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED A STAR CASE. I CAN'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT THIS TIME, AS I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS ODOR CAN CAUSE A PERMANENT HEALTH PROBLEM, NOT TO MENTION IT IS BIZARRE THAT A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. *TR
I NOTICED THAT WHEN I STARTED MY TRUCK AFTER IT HAD BEEN COLD FOR A WHILE THAT BLUE/WHITE SMOKE WOULD BRIEFLY COME OUT OF THE TAILPIPE. I NOTICED IT SEVERAL TIMES AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. IT STILL DID IT INTERMITTENTLY. I THEN NOTICED THAT MY OIL LEVEL WAS LOW, AND THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR WENT OUT. I HAD THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND ADDED OIL. BASED ON THE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION, SMOKE, AND OIL PRESSURE SENSOR GOING BAD, I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE. ALL MY PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN OIL RELATED! *TR

THIS POST IS RELATED TO NHTSA ID #10585728. I ALSO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE 20 INCH WHEELS/TIRES BUT THE SPARE IS 17 INCHES. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED AT AROUND 200 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. IT STALLED WHEN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN NEAR MY HOME.
