When I come to a sudden or slow stop either coming to a stop sign or going around a corner or traffic jam on the highway, my truck will sometimes surge and accelerate suddnly before coming to a complete stop. When that doesnt happen the truck will just drop into nuetral and the cluster will display " please shift to park then select desired gear". Its not just annoying but a safety issue since ive almost been rear ended twice and almost t-boned while my wife and 8 year old daughter were in the car with me. I cant moved till i stop the vehicle to put it in park and then back in drive everytime it does it. Its been happening ever since 25k miles and im at 52k miles. Ive take. It to the dealer twice and they daid they couldnt replicate the problem so they couldnt do anything. Then no dealer near me does courtesy vehicles except one 50 minute away from me but they only have two courtesy trucks and they are always out and have no idea when they will get them back and i work out of my truck so i need a truck so i can never schedule an appointment to take my truck in for anything including this issue. I just want my brand new truck to work that im paying $600 month for. I dont wanna trade it in and get stuck on a new loan and more money out of my pocket. This is the most aggravating experiance of my life and no way to reconcile the issue in site. Please help.
LIFTER TICKING
I have a 2019 Dodge Ram Rebel I have owned since new. Two months after I got it it had the tick. I have noticed every dodge ram on the road has this tick I mean every ram. I have always bought dodge since I have purchased vehicles. Is the anything that you can do for me on this issue there is fumes coming in the cab of the truck and it’s unsafe since there is a problem with all vehicles in the brand. I’m hoping so because this is starting to turn a lot of heads and people do get an upset stomach because of the noises and this is not what a 80,000 dollar vehicle should have happen.
I was driving a new truck i had purchased from a dodge dealer , i was rear-ended at highway speed, the truck lost control and went off road hitting a earthen burm head on, flipped and came to rest on the roof. The traction control didn't work, the front impact airbags did not deploy and the engine was still running while the truck was upside-down Download of the trucks ECM shows the srs seat position sensor was not configured from the factory. The factory did issue a recall identifying the seat position sensors as a component needed for the airbags to function I suffered a concussion ,neck injuries, both knees needed surgery 1 surgery on the left 3 on the right i am scheduled for a knee replacement and temporary paralysis My wife suffered a severed ACL and had to have it replaced
WHEN DRIVING ABOVE 40 MPH THE STEERING STICKS. IT HAPPEMS WHILE DRIVING INTO AND OUT OF TURNS. THE STEERING GRABS/STICKS AND HAS TO BE FORCED TO CORRECT. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ON OUR 2 LANE ROADS IN HAWAII. ALL OF MY REQUIRED RECALLS HAVE BEEN CORRECTED. THIS IS A NEW ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THIS ISSUE SINCE JUNE 2019.
WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT VEHICLE STARTED ACCELERATING WHILE BREAK PEDDLE WAS ENGAGED. VEHICLE CONTINUE ACCELERATING WITH HEAVY BREAK PADDLE APPLICATION. ACCELERATION CONTINUED TO THE POINT OF TIRE SCREECHING AND SMOKING MOVING VEHICLE INTO INTERSECTION. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL AND SHUTTING OFF VEHICLE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART TILL THIRD ATTEMPT. VEHICLE WAS THEN MOVED TO SAFE LOCATION AND TOWED TO DEALER. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN SHOP FOR 6 DAYS WITH NO RESOLUTION. INCIDENT OCCURRED IN A DOWNTOWN LOCATION WITH HEAVY VEHICLE, PEDESTRIAN, AND BICYCLE TRAFFIC. HAD IT BEEN AS LESS EXPERIENCED OR LESS ATTENTIVE DRIVE THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE PROVED FATAL. I WILL NOT BE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE UNTIL ISSUE IS IDENTIFIED AND A SOLUTION PROVIDED. VEHICLE IS TWO MONTHS OLD WITH LESS THAN 5000 MILES.*DT CONSUMER STATED DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE.*JB *JS
GETTING READY TO MAKE A LEFT TURN INTO MY DRIVEWAY, WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WOULDN'T TURN AND A "POWER STEERING UNAVILABLE//SERVICE REQUIRED " MESSAGE POPPED UP ON THE DASH DISPLAY. I AM VERY FORTUNATE THE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN ON A BUSY ROAD. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT INTO THE DRIVEWAY ,BUT THE "POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE/SERVICE REQUIRED" LIGHT WILL NOT GO AWAY. ALL OF THE PREVIOUS RECALLS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED. DUE TO A PREVIOUS WRECK,THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THIS TRUCK, BECAUSE OF A RECONSTRUCTED TITLE.THIS TRUCK WAS REPAIRED WITH 1492 MILES ON IT AND NOW HAS 4347 MILES.
FRONT DRIVER SIDE MOTOR MOUNT LOOSE; CAUSES ENGINE TO SHAKE
POWER STEERING WENT OUT TWICE AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE WHEN THE VEHICLE GETS TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT'S GOING OUT IN THE HIGHWAY AND THE ROADWAY
REAR POWER SLIDING WINDOW DEVELOPS CRACKS AT THE TOP ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CENTER GLASS. WINDOW LEAKS INTO CAB WHEN MOISTURE IS PRESENT OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE SUCH AS SNOW, RAIN OR CAR WASH. I AM TRYING TO GET RAM/FCA TO FIX ISSUE BUT THEY ARE NOT CALLING ME BACK. MANY 2019 RAM TRUCKS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE.
1) ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 70 MILES PER HOUR 2) NOB SHIFTER SET ON DRIVE BUT DOES NOT DRIVE UNTIL IT FEELS LIKE SO, MAY TAKE A MINUTE OR TWO AND VEHICLE LUNCHES 3)KEYS DO NOT OPEN, LOCK, OR TURN VEHICLE ON 4) BACK UP SENSOR'S GO OFF AND VEHICLE AUTO BRAKES WITH NOTHING BEHIND OR IN FRONT OF IT 5) REAR CAMERA WILL TURN ON AND WILL NEVER SHUT OFF EVEN AFTER 2 HOURS OF DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY 6) TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR NOT WORKING, ALL FOUR
I PULLED IN TO GET GAS SHUT VEHICLE OFF AND PUMPED GAS GOT BACK IN VEHICLE STARTED IT UP PUT VEHICLE IN DRIVE AND IT GOT REALLY LOUD AND STARTED SHIFTING BAD
WATER ENTERS VEHICLE THROUGH REAR WINDOW. STRESS CRACKS FORM IN PLASTIC FRAME OF REAR WINDOW. THESE THEN CRACK AND WATER GETS IN VEHICLE CAN CAUSES MOLD TO GROW. RAM REPLACED WINDOW AND THE NEW ONE ALREADY HAD STRESS MARKS ON THEM. THIS IS AM ONGOING ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.
I OWN A 2019 RAM 1500 4X2 BIG HORN CURRENTLY WITH 9600 MILES. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE THE TRUCK WAS NEW AND I SEE THAT OTHER RAM OWNERS HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. WHEN TRAVELING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 40-55 AND IN A LEFT HAND CURVE WITH THE WHEEL BETWEEN 10 & 11 O'CLOCK, THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMS TO CATCH AND NOT RETURN TO CENTER WITHOUT FORCING IT. WHEN THE CORRECTION IS MADE IT MAKES THE TRUCK JERK AND FEEL UNSTABLE AS IT COMES OUT OF THE CURVE.
The exhaust manifold bolts have broken three times on my 2019 Ram 1500, LImited, 5.7L causing the O2 sensor to apparently trim the fuel out differently than when it does not leak, likely causing the truck to operate outside of the emission requirement. This has been an issue for many years for all owners, some dealers provide warranty repair and other do not. The diesel engine option for this same truck has a recall on the exhaust manifold, but not the gas engine. Please read the forums about this problem to see that nearly all of these trucks have this problem, causing a significant concern with "legal" emissions.
I WAS DRIVING ON I94 EASTBOUND HIGHWAY, I PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW DOWN FOR TRAFFIC THEN ACCELERATED AND THE TRUCK ACCELERATED AT FULL DOWNPOWER. I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR, BUT THE PEDAL STAYED ON THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK KEPT ACCELERATING. I GOT UP TO 105MPH IN NO TIME AT ALL, THEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKES AS HARD AS I POSSIBLY COULD SO I DIDN'T HIT THE VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME. THIS SLOWED ME DOWN TO ABOUT 60MPH SLOWING THE TRUCK DOWN ENOUGH TO MOVE FROM THE FAR LEFT LANE TO THE FAR RIGHT SHOULDER, WITH THE TRUCK STILL AT 5K PLUS RPMS, I THEN WAS ABLE TO PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL USING THE SHIFTER KNOB. THE VEHICLE THEN DISPLAYED THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD. DURING THIS WHOLE TIME THE ACCELERATOR WAS ON THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK WAS TRYING TO OUT POWER THE BRAKES. I THEN POWERED OFF THE VEHICLE ENTIRELY. I WAS THEN ATTEMPTING TO RESTART THE VEHICLE TO GET MYSELF OFF THE UNSAFE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND THE THROTTLE WAS STILL STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND WAS TICKING WITH ERROR CODES READING ON THE DASHBOARD. I THEN TURNED THE KEY BACK TO THE OFF POSITION AND HAD TO WAIT OVER A MINUTE IN ORDER FOR THE TRUCK TO START SO I COULD GET OFF OF THE UNSAFE SHOULDER. THIS IS A HUGE CONCERN AND I HAVE STOCK FLOOR MATS IN MY VEHICLE. COMPONENT THAT FAILED WAS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM. TOOK TO CHRYSLER DEALER STATED NOTHING WRONG WITH VEHICLE. I HAVE VIDEO PROOF!*DT*JB
THE GEAR SHIFTING MECHANISM/TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY. I PLACE MY TRUCK INTO PARK UPON COMING TO A STOP, AND MY TRUCK ROLLS AWAY WITH ME IN IT. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, AND COULD NOT BE REPEATED AT THE DEALER WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE. I WAS TOLD TO BUY A WHEEL CHOCK TO USE TO KEEP IT FROM ROLLING AWAY.*DT*JB
I PULLED INTO A CAR WASH BAY AT A CAR WASH IN MERCERSBURG PA I HAND WASHED THE EXTERIOR ONLY. WHEN FINISHED I STARTED MY TRUCK AND THE ENGINE RACED LIKE FULL THROTTLE. I TURNED IT OF IMMEDIATELY. I LET IT SET A FEW MINUTES TRIED STARTING IT AGAIN IT DID THE SAME THING FULL THROTTLE. I TURNED IT OFF IMMEDIATELY. CALLED SHIVELY MOTORS IN CHAMBERSBURG, PA FOR HELP AND ASSISTANCE. THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER FOR A TOW COMPANY THEY TOWED MY 2019 RAM 1500 4WD TRUCK TO THAT DEALERSHIP. IT IS JANUARY 28, 2020. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY INSIDE A CAR WASH BAY. I HAD NOT HAD ANY ISSUES LIKE THIS BEFORE, FIRST TIME. IT SCARED ME.
WHEN SLOWING DOWN FROM A HIGHER SPEED TO COASTING (LET OFF GAS LET SLOW DOWN), I HAVE A HARSH VIBRATION/NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END, TO THE POINT IT SHAKES THE SEATS, CONSOLE, AND EVEN THE DOOR PANELS. THE VIBRATION DOES NOT LAST BUT A COUPLE OF SECONDS AT A TIME USUALLY A SPEED OR TWO. TOOK TO THE DEALER THEY REPLACED THE VIBRATION ACTUATORS ON THE VEHICLE (NO CHANGE) , REPLACED THE CARRIER IN THE REAR DIFF (NO CHANGE) TOOK BACK TO DEALER BUT HAVE BEEN BEING BLOWN OFF. THE VIBRATION CAN HAPPEN ON ANY STREET AT ANY TIME, WHEN EVER IT FEELS LIKE DOING IT. NO ONE AT MY DEALER SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO FIX IT SO THEY KEEP SAYING CAN NOT DUPLICATE IT WHEN MULTIPLE HAVE DUPLICATED IT. I HAVE AUDIO FILES BUT CAN NOT ATTACH THEM TO THIS PAGE
LEAK IN CEILING HEAD LINER WET AND DISCOLORING RADIO SCREEN DIED TWICE. HAS SHIFTING PROBLEM FROM 1ST TO SECOND SOMETIMES WANT MY OLD TRUCK BACK PLEASE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE LOST POWER STEERING WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EXTRA EFFORT WAS REQUIRED TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A MESSAGE STATING POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE; SERVICE REQUIRED, WAS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HALL CHRYSLER RAM LOCATED AT (3152 VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD, VIRGINIA BEACH VA) HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. AFTER RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,666.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the tailgate fell without warning or driver input. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V904000 (Structure). The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
Automatic folding side mirrors have failed 3 times on my Ram within the last 3 years. The internal components seem to fail and cause the mirror to fail to fold in and fold out properly which causes a loss of visibility. I've had both mirrors replaced so it is not specific to one side.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated while accelerating from a stop sign, the vehicle stalled and the "selector switch" knob went from drive to park then back to drive. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle returned to normal operation. The contact stated that the "automatic brake engaged" warning light was illuminated. The failure was intermittent. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission software updated. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure was still intermittent. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the tailgate unintentionally opened while driving at various speeds. The tailgate ajar light failed to illuminate while the tailgate was open. The contact learned of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V904000 (Structure). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.
MY 2019 RAM FUEL FILLER NECK CAUSES ANY GAS PUMP NOZZLE I USE TO BECOME STUCK AND MAKES REFUELING TAKE MUCH LONGER THAN IT SHOULD. THE GAS PUMP NOZZLE CONTINUOUSLY TURNS OFF NOT ALLOWING ME TO FILL MY GAS TANK. THE FILLER NECK'S DESIGN SEEMS TO TRIGGER THE GAS PUMPS' AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF WHEN THE TANK ISN'T FULL YET. SOMETIMES THE PUMP SHUTS OFF EVERY FEW SECONDS, FORCING ME TO FILL MY TRUCKS' TANK OUNCES AT A TIME.
DURING SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS USUALLY FROM 2 GEAR TO 1ST GEAR AND SURGES FORWARD. MANY TIMES DURING THIS SURGE THE TRANSMISSION GOES INTO NEUTRAL AND THE SCREEN INSTRUCTS ME TO SHIFT INTO PARK AND THEN BACK IN TO DRIVE. IT MAKES IT DANGEROUS IF THERE IS TRAFFIC BEHIND ME. THE TRUCK OFTEN SURGES WHEN STOPPING AND POPS OUT OF GEAR AT ONCE A MONTH. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY ADDRESSED BY UPDATING DRIVE TRAIN SOFTWARE. SINCE REPAIR IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AND I TOOK TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY STATE THEY CAN'T REPLICATE OR KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.
THIS INCIDENT HAS BECOME MORE PREVALENT. IT BEGAN ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS SOMETHING STUCK IN THE GROOVES OF THE TIRES. BUT AS IT BEGAN TO OCCUR MORE AND MORE REGULARLY I FELT IT WAS TIME TO TRY AND GET SOME HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. WHILE IN MOTION, WHEN I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL AND IT IS NOT PRESSED AND TRUCK BEGINS DECELERATING, AT APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 50 MILES PER HOUR A DRONE/HUM WILL BEGIN WITHIN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. IF I DO NOT PRESS THE GAS PEDAL OR ROLL DOWN WINDOWS THE DRONE/HUM WILL GET LOUDER AND MORE PRONOUNCED. IF IT IS NOT ELIMINATED, THE DRONE/HUM WILL INCREASE IN DECIBELS AND ACTUALLY BECOME PHYSICALLY FELT WITHIN THE TRUCK. SINCE THE SOUND ALMOST SEEMS TO RESONATE FROM THE SPEAKERS, I HAVE TRIED UNPLUGGING THE ANC (ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION) DEVICE UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. WHILE THIS DOES STOP THE RADIO SPEAKERS FROM PLAYING ANY MUSIC, IT DOES ALSO SEEM TO PREVENT THE DRONE/HUM FROM OCCURRING. THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED IN EARLY JUNE OF 2019 AND CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 12,500 MILES ON IT. THERE HAS BEEN NO CUSTOMIZATION OR ALTERATION OF ANYTHING ON THE VEHICLE.
THE REAR CENTER BRAKE LIGHT APPARENTLY LEAKS INTO THE CABIN. THIS IS A COMMON 1500 2019 PROBLEM. IT LEAKS INTO THE CEILING SURROUNDING AIR BAGS AND OTHER ELECTRONICS. HOW IS THIS NOT ALREADY RECALLED? IT LEAKS CONSTANTLY SO HOW CAN ONE TELL WHEN IT OCCURS?
The 4wd has never worked in my 2019 Ram 1500. I bought the truck in November of the same year, I tried to engage the 4wd with the snow that year and it would not engage. Notification showed service 4wd, I took it to a ram dealer in South Carolina where I worked out of town they had it for two days and they informed me they didn't know what was wrong with it. I then took it to the dealer at home they kept it overnight and installed a new actuator. It engaged the first time and then back to service 4wd. This time was different it stayed in neutral, I turned the emergency brake on and turned the truck off. The dial tried to return to park but couldn't so with the truck off and Ebrake applied I had to have a tow service pick it up and take to the dealer. I then scheduled an appointment with the dealer I purchased it from and they said they updated the software and it was working. I tried to engage the 4wd in the parking lot and it still showed service light. They kept the truck for two days and said a gear in the transfer case was bad and I had to pay $1,000 to fix it. But the same year truck has a recall for the same issue I'm having. I declined the service due to an active recall. About a week later the power steering wasn't working right. When I was doing highway speed and would turn left it was like I had to fight it back into the lane, but only while turning left. I then took it to a mechanic and he said the truck was clearly over steering from the wear marks and that the R&P looked good no leaks but it may be the rack. So I looked at the active recalls and sure enough there is an active recall for the same year truck for electronic power steering and the transfer case but when entering my VIN it says my truck has zero recalls? I really hope something can be done I've lost my job due to cardiac arrest and used my 401k to pay the lein off just to have all these issues. Thank you
2019 RAM WITH 12" SCREEN DEVELOPED ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH 5100 MILES. THE SCREEN AND OTHER ELECTRICAL ITEMS WILL WORK FINE IN THE ACCESSORY MODE BUT AS SOON AS YOU START THE VEHICLE THE SCREEN GOES BLACK AND A LOT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES BEGIN. THE DEFROSTER GOES ON HIGH, THE SEAT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GO FORWARD, THE FRONT WINDOWS DO NOT WORK AND THE BLIND SPOT SENSOR WILL NOT WORK. WITH SCREEN OUT YOU HAVE NO BACKUP CAMERA AND LOSING THE BLIND SPOT ALSO CAUSES SERIOUS RISK OF AN ACCIDENT. FIRST DEALER THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO COULD NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ANOTHER DEALER AND HOPE THAT THEY CAN RESOLVE THESE ISSUES. I NOTICED ONLINE THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE UNCONNECT AND SIRIUS RADIO BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH MY PROBLEM.
ON 12/10/19 THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING A 2019 DODGE RAM 1500 WHEN THE ACCELERATOR GOT STUCK AND HE COULD NOT SLOW DOWN. THE DRIVER TRIED PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR TO RELEASE IT BUT THIS DID NOT WORK. THE DRIVER THEN TRIED TO PRESS ON THE BRAKES BUT THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATOR FASTER THAN IT COULD STOP. THE DRIVER THAN RAN HEAD FIRST INTO A PARKING GARAGE WALL TOTALING THE DODGE RAM. ALL AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED AND THERE WAS MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE. *DT NO POLICE REPORT DUE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY. THERE IS A REPORT THROUGH TOWNE PARK AND HILTON LOCATED AT 401 NORTH HIGH ST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LITHIA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF BILLINGS DEALER LOCATED AT 2229 KING AVE W, BILLINGS, MT 59102, WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE, AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER FOUR TIMES. THE TECHNICIAN SUGGESTED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED HOWEVER, WHEN MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, THE MANUFACTURER DECLINED TO PAY FOR THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
DRIVERS WIPER ACTUALLY COMES OFF THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE WINDOW, WRAPPING AROUND THE DOOR COLUMN, THEN FREEZES IN THAT POSITION. WHEN I MANUALLY PUSH THE BLADE BACK INTO POSITION IT EITHER FLIES OFF THE WINDOW AGAIN OR FREEZES 1/2 WAY. THIS WAS IN SNOW CONDITIONS. WAS UNABLE TO USE WIPERS IN SNOW STORM. TRUCK WAS IN MOTION AT 70 MPH.
There is an issue with putting gas into this truck. Seems there is a defect in the filler tube which Ram will not at this point recognize
ON 11-21-19 TRAVELING AT 6:00 A.M. IN THE DARK, PUSHED THE WIPER ARM TO TURN ON MY HIGH BEAMS, THE INFORMATION SCREEN FLASHED "HIGH BEAMS DISABLED" THEY HAVE NOT WORKED SINCE. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I HAVE TRIED TURNING FOG LIGHTS OFF, THIS MADE NO DIFFERENCE.
I PURCHASED A 2019 RAM 1500 TWO WEEKS AGO. I QUICKLY STARTED EXPERIENCING POWER STEERING FAILURES (UNEXPECTEDLY), I NOTICED THE AC DIDN'T WORK, AND THE MIRRORS RATCHET WHEN ADJUSTED. I HAD IT LOOKED AT BY A DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY FIXED THE POWER STEERING, AT LEAST TEMPORARILY. OF COURSE WE DIDN'T EXPERIENCE POWER STEERING PROBLEMS UNTIL ME AND MY FAMILY WENT ON A CROSS COUNTRY TRIP. INTERMITTENT POWER STEERING FAILURES IN UNFAMILIAR AREA, AT NIGHT, AND IN POOR WEATHER MADE TRAVELING IN MY NEW TRUCK VERY STRESSFUL. I STILL DON'T HAVE POWER STEERING AND WE ARE GETTING READY TO DRIVE HOME FROM THANKSGIVING ON SATURDAY (IN TWO DAYS). THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, I'VE HAD TOO MANY CLOSE CALLS ON THIS TRIP WITH POWER STEERING RE-ENGAGING CAUSING ME TO SERVE OUT OF MY LANE. PLEASE HELP!

PRESSING THE BRAKE I BELIEVE STOPPED THE VIOLENT ACCELERATION OR DECREASED IT SIGNIFICANTLY. I NEEDED TO TOUCH THE PEDAL AGAIN TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE AND AGAIN JUST TOUCHING IT CAUSED VIOLENT ACCELERATION. REGAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND PULLED OVER AND FOUND THE PEDAL STUCK TO THE TOP OF THE RIB. WAS A FEW BLOCKS FROM WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE A FEW DAYS BEFORE. I BOUGHT A 2019 DODGE RAM LARAMIE FROM CITY DODGE IN NJ. EVERY TIME I PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE, THE TRUCK GRINDS TO A HALT. IN STREETS, DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOTS. I RETURNED IT TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION ON 11.12.19. THEY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW DAYS. WHEN IT WAS RETURNED TO ME. THE SERVICE DEPT. SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, DIAGNOSTICS WAS GOOD. THEIR SERVICE MANAGER EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM YET I WAS TOLD ITS OK. LATER THAT SAY AFTER GETTING IT BACK 11/18/19. MY WIFE DROVE THE VEHICLE AND IT REPEATED A DIFFERENT DEFECT (THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN) WHILE BACKING UP TO DRIVEWAY PLUS 2 TIMES AFTER THAT. I THEN RETURNED IT BACK TO DODGE 11/21/19 AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. THEY THEN HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK. THE SERVICE TECH THEN COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHAT'S WRONG THEN ASKED ME TO "MAYBE TURN OFF THE SAFETY SENSORS" . I THEN GOT IT BACK ON 12/2/19. THEY SAID THEY REPLACED THE PARK ASSIST MODULE. NOT SURE IF THEY TESTED THE VEHICLE AFTER. LATER THAT EVENING WHILE BACKING UP IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE THIRD TIME. I WENT BACK TO TELL THEM IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME HE S NOT SURE AND "THEIR CHASING GHOSTS". I SAID THEN WHY DID YOU REPLACE A SAFETY FEATURE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG. THE OTHER SERVICE GUY SAID A SIMILAR INCIDENT HAPPENED TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. AT THIS POINT I DON'T WANT THIS VEHICLE. I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. AFTER TAKING POSSESSION OF OUR NEW 2019 RAM TRUCK I BEGAN TO DRIVE HOME. AS SOON AS I CAME INTO A LEFT HAND TURN THE STEERING STUCK IN THE 10 OR 11 O'CLOCK POSITION WHEN TRYING TO RETURN TO CENTER. I ALMOST CRASHED INTO ONCOMING VEHICLES. I RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AND THEY SAID THE STEERING WAS FIXED. WHEN I PICKED IT UP THE SECOND TIME THE STEERING WAS STILL DEFECTIVE. VERY DANGEROUS. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES ON THE WAY HOME FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE THREAT OF OVERCOMPENSATION IS A MAJOR CONCERN ALSO.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40MPH IN A HEAVY RAIN STORM WITH THE WIPERS ON. THE WIPERS FAILED AND STOPPED UP ON THE WINDSHIELD. I COULD NOT GET THEM TO RESPOND ON ANY WIPER SETTING. THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD STILL RESPOND WHEN TURNING THE WIPER SWITCH ON SO THE DRIVER SWITCH APPEARED TO WORK. I HAD THE BCM CODES PULLED AND IT SHOWED THE WIPER PARK SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS FAILURE.
MY VEHICLE WAS IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS. THE WINDSHIELD WAS DAMAGED IN THE ACCIDENT. BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WAS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER THE REPAIRS TOOK WAY LONGER THEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. I AM NOW OUT $701.28 THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR. I AM LOOKING FOR SOME SORT OF REIMBURSEMENT.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer as well as McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT (3709 S Thompson St, Springdale, AR 72764) and Lewis Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (3311 N College Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72703) on separate occasions. However, all three dealers could not duplicate the failure. Additionally, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the mechanic related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V556000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that since the dealers could not duplicate the failure, they were unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 7,200.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,931.
WHILE DRIVING TRUCK AT LOW SPEED, POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STEER. WITHIN A MINUTE, THE POWER STEERING RANDOMLY BEGAN WORKING AGAIN. OVER CORRECTION AT THIS POINT COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS CRASH. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD TO ACTIVATE ASSIST BUTTON TO HAVE TRUCK TOWED BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE--LOOSE GROUND WIRE IN FRONT DRIVER FENDER AREA. WAS TOLD ISSUE WAS FIXED. PICKED UP TRUCK. WITHIN WEEKS, LOSS OF POWER STEERING RECURRED WHILE DRIVING AT 35-40 MPH, THEN ABRUPTLY RESUMED IN ABOUT A MINUTE. AGAIN, OVERCORRECTION AT THIS POINT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS CRASH. MY TRUCK HAS SINCE BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP AND IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS! THIS QUALIFIES IT AS A LEMON IN ACCORDANCE WITH MY STATE'S LEMON LAW. I'M TOLD THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE ISSUE AND SO WARRANTY WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO WORK ON FIXING IT. FILED COMPLAINT WITH FCA AND A CASE WAS OPENED BUT HAVE BEEN BOUNCED AROUND TO SEVERAL CASE MANAGERS AND CURRENTLY NO ONE IS RETURNING MY INQUIRIES. I HAVE REQUESTED A FULL BUY BACK. FEELS LIKE A SMOKESCREEN WITH NOTHING BUT DELAYS AND EXCUSES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING, BUT AT THE MOMENT I HAVE LOST FAITH IN FCA AND THE RAM BRAND.
DRIVER'S VISOR BROKE WHILE DRIVING, IT FELL INTO THE VISION PATH DANGLING BY THE POWER CABLES. UPON INSPECTION ONLY PLASTIC HOLDS THE METAL ROD IN PLACE, NO GROMMET OR SNAP WASHER IS USED AT THE END OF THE ROD TO SECURE IT IN THE CEILING MOUNT; THE ROD THAT EXTENDS INTO THE BASE IS FREE TO FALL OUT ONCE THE PLASTIC BREAKS. VISOR DOES NOT FREE FALL TO FLOOR, BUT REMAINS SWINGING IN FRONT OF DRIVER, RESULTING IN SEVERE DISTRACTION AND HAVING TO FIGHT TO BREAK THE WIRING FREE TO REMOVE IT QUICKLY. PLASTIC BROKE DURING NORMAL USE SWINGING THE VISOR NORMALLY, POSSIBLY BINDING IN THE MOUNT LED TO THIS, AS THE PLASTIC REMAINING DOES NOT EASILY SWIVEL. PICTURES OF MOUNT AND VISOR ROD ATTACHED.
