This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

VIN: 3C6MRVUG5NE140272 Recall data refreshed on Apr 18,2026 1Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN Oct 23,2025 Manufacturer Recall Number67C NHTSA Recall Number25V-720 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary 4-13-2026 Is someone going to have to die because this vehicle is still on the road with a recall that could start a fire in the engine compartment that no one knows what causes it except that it has something to do with the radiator fans. This is a very serious situation. No one should be able to drive a vehicle with this kind of problem. This recall was issued several months ago, I think from October 2025. This van has a camper made in it by Thor Twist and sold by Camping World in Arkansas. We bought it to travel around the country we retire. What a nightmare. We have a granddaughter who lives with us and goes camping with us most of the time. We also have a handicapped daughter who also travels with us sometimes. She has never been able to walk. What if the van catches on fire while she is with us? My wife and I are in our mid 70’s. We have been losing sleep thinking about this The people we bought it from said it’s not their responsibility, same as Thor Twist. They say it’s a chassis problem and we need to call Chrysler Corporation. I called the Chrysler Corporation the Dodge dealership near our location. Recall notice states “The remedy for this condition is not currently available. We can’t plan any vacation time due to this recall. We now have nightmares about traveling anywhere in this van. We paid over $100,000 for this van and cannot use it. We are requesting that we return the van and get all our money back. We have had nothing but problems with this van and worry about making any trips in it in the future. We have had it in the shop 4 times for recalls and several other times for malfunctioning issues. We were unable to use the van for weeks at a time. Let us return it please.
The contact called for the owner of a 2022 Ram Promaster 3500. The vehicle was taken to be serviced due to a power steering failure. While operating the vehicle, the owner experienced a power steering failure, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn to the left or the right. The messages "Service Power Steering", "Service Hill Assist", "Service Collision Warning", "Blind Spot Alert Unavailable", and “Service ESC" were displayed. The contact diagnosed the vehicle and determined that water was inside the main steering connector, causing the power steering failure. The owner was informed that the steering rack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The contact was informed of NHTSA Action Number: PE26002 (STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the investigation. The failure mileage was 68,974.
This recall is supposed to be lifted as this is an RV. Please lift this recall
Less than a half mile into my work day the van started flashing all warning lights ( Hill assist, power steering, service engine, abs ETC.) I was on a busy road and was attempting to pull off to safety But the van turned off. Was able to jump it after 2 attempts and get it to the dealer 1 mile away, without any other lights coming back on aside from CEL. Dealer informed me I have 2 Corroded wiring harnesses, bad rack & Pinion and alternator is at 7%.... From what I've heard, this is a problem that could have been prevented by the manufacturers.. I also had a Transmission replacement at 30k miles and full Engine replacement at 55k miles. Currently at 80k Miles... This is Unacceptable for a Commercial fleet vehicle.
Power Steering Failed
My vehicle is subject to Safety Recall 67C for an engine-compartment fire risk involving the cooling fan module and inadequate fuse protection. I contacted an authorized Ram dealership and Stellantis corporate. Both confirmed that the recall is open and that no repair remedy is currently available. Stellantis has confirmed in writing (Case #95056397) that there is no interim safety solution available for affected owners while this recall remains unresolved. This vehicle is my primary residence. Stellantis has offered rental reimbursement, but this does not provide a safe or realistic interim solution for a vehicle that functions as both transportation and housing. The manufacturer has acknowledged a fire risk but has provided no interim safety guidance or accommodation for owners who cannot reasonably stop using the vehicle while awaiting a remedy. I am reporting this as a safety concern due to the lack of a remedy and the absence of interim safety guidance for affected owners. Stellantis has issued a stop-sale on affected vehicles, confirming the seriousness of the defect, while existing owners remain without a viable safety alternative.

My vehicle started to have an extremely aggressive shaking steering wheel when trying to turn into a parking lot leaving me stuck in the road for 10minutes not being able to turn without it jerking aggressively. Turns out its a common issue and caused by faulty plugs under vehicle going to the power steering motor that let water in and corrode the plugs/wiring. Dealer suggested I replace 2 wiring harnesses and motor.
Sudden failure of the power steering system. Vehicle became very difficult to steer, lucky no other cars or pedestrians were in the area. Per the dealer water entered the wiring harness and entered the power steering module causing it to fail. When the power steering failed, warning messages began appearing on the dash, which included "hill assist needs service", "ECS needs service", "FWC system needs service" and "Engine needs service".
Power steering failure. Luckily for us, the failure happened while still in our driveway, so no accident or collision occurred. We had warning messages for ESC, hill start assist, and several other systems, but nothing for EPS (electric power steering). The dealership was able to repair the problem by replacing the steering rack and two associated wiring harnesses. The mechanic noted water and a lot of corrosion in the wiring connector on the steering rack. This vehicle has only had normal water exposure (rain and puddles on the road).
The electronic power steering has failed on my 2022 Ram Promaster with 38,000 miles. While driving the steering wheel began jerking violently and couldn't be controlled. It seemed like there was a legitimate chance of the vehicle rolling over on the highway. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by a Ram Dealer in my area. The dealer stated "verified customer complaint intermittent lack of power steering assist at times. found I264A inline connection under vehicle full of water / mud with corrosion no connector repair kits available to fix any of this harness replacement with rack is required". There were no warnings lamps or any notification of an issue prior to or even while the issue occurred.
Seat belt ripped while putting seatbelt on. Nothing in the way of system. Local parts department advised 35 belts nationally are requested weekly. We shouldn’t have to pay $500 for their safety issue.
steering does not work due to malfunctioning steering rack. it has 21,000 miles & is under 3 years old.
Loosing power steering at 50,000 miles. Dealer states out of warranty. This should not be happening on less than a 3 year old promaster van. Total loss now. was happening randomly. driving 70 mph and hit a bump, steering would pull/jerk to the oppisite direction. also slower speeds as well, including reverse
The fcw/acc stopped working all possible fixes exhausted left turn signal intermittent failure. The fcw/acc started as intermittent but now doesn't function at all seems to be common issue from research. There were warning lights indicating an issue. Van was at a dodge dealer for fuel and other electrical issues
The contact's employer leased a 2022 Ram Promaster as a work vehicle. The contact stated that the front driver’s side door striker had become loosened and had started to detach from the frame of the vehicle. The contact stated that the door failed to lock securely while driving due to the failure. Upon further inspection of other work vehicles, the contact stated that there were several vehicles with similar failures. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
steering wheel keeps locking up and not able to turn at lower speeds (under 10- 20 miles) I took the car to the dealer ship and they said a part named gear- rack and pinion was replaced after waiting for almost 2 months for them to fix the car, Today I had to take the car back to the dealer after I just pick up the car a few days ago because steering keeps locking up after $2700 dollars of charges the car is not safe to drive I'm not sure if I'm the only person with this problem but I hope that if I'm not the only person with this issue you guys can help, thank you
The sliding side door cannot be manually unlocked. It can only be unlocked by the remote key FOB or by pressing an electrical switch in the cab. In the event of an emergency, such as a crash or fire, this may delay or prevent evacuation from the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram Promaster 3500. The contact stated while driving at approximately 45 MPH, the Forward Collision Avoidance warning illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven however, the Forward Collision Avoidance safety feature was disabled. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the Forward Collision Avoidance system was not functioning properly; however, the dealer was unable to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,363.
