STRUCTURAL WELD UNDER THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BROKE. SEAT NOW SWAYS LEFT TO RIGHT, NOT SECURE IN THE VEHICLE. VISUAL INDICATION OF A WEAK, NON-PENETRATIVE, ROBOTIC STRUCTURAL WELD KEEPING THE SEAT IN PLACE. GM WILL NOT COVER REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT COSTS. INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THIS SAME ISSUE HAPPENING ACROSS MILLIONS OF VEHICLES UNDER THE CHEVROLET AND SATURN MAKES. *TR
I'VE HAD MY 2007 AURA SINCE MARCH 2013, NEVER HAD ISSUES UNTIL A YEAR LATER IN APRIL 2014. I NOTICED WHEN I GOT OUT OF MY CAR THAT MY BACK BREAK LIGHTS WERE STILL ON, WHEN I GOT IN TO START IT UP, I PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE OUT OF PARK AND IT JUMPED-NO LURCHED FORWARD SO HARD IT FELT AS IF I HAD BEEN HIT FROM THE BACK. I HAD TO SLAM MY FOOT ON THE BREAK TO KEEP FROM RUNNING INTO THE CAR PARKED IN FRONT OF ME! THAN COMES JULY 2014 I RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT MY AURA IS PART OF A RECALL #13036 WHICH RELATES TO THE (BCM)-BODY CONTROL MODULE, THE (BAS)-BREAK APPLY SENSOR AND THE (ECS)-ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL. ALL IN WHICH AFFECTS THE ISSUES I'M HAVING AT THIS VERY MOMENT. NOW AS OF A WEEK AGO (AUG 2014) MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND MY AUTO START IS NO LONGER WORKING! I'VE CALLED SATURN ABOUT ME NOT FEELING SAFE IN MY VEHICLE AND WHAT IS THE STATUS ON THE PARTS COMING IN AND ALL I'M TOLD IS THAT THERE IS NO SET TIME WHEN THAT WILL BE. ON TOP OF THAT I'M TOLD I MAY HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND OR REPAIRS TO MY CAR TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON! I AM A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN AURA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS LEAKING NEAR THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,500. UPDATED 6/27/14*CN UPDATED 07/11/2014 *JS
HEARD CLUNKS WHILE STEERING THEN IT WAS HARD TO STEER..ON HIGHWAY SPEEDS CAR GETS PULLED WITH THE GROOVE OF AN UNEVEN SURFACE. I ALMOST CRASHED TO A DIVIDER ON THE HIGHWAY. *TT
VEHICLE COULD NOT BE SHIFTED OUT OF DRIVE. NO MATTER WHERE THE SHIFT LEVEL WAS PLACED, THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN DRIVE. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, IT COULD NOT BE RESTARTED AND BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS SET, AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO A DEALER. *TR
MY SATURN STOPPED PULLING WHEN STOPPED, THANKFULLY AT OUR DRIVEWAY. IT WOULD NOT GO FORWARD AND THE ENGINE JUST REVVED. IT WOULD PULL IN REVERSE BUT NOT IN DRIVE. ATTEMPTED THE MANUAL MODE BUT STILL DID NOT PULL AND DID NOT SHOW GEAR INDICATION ON DASH. UPON SEVERAL TIMES TURNING ON AND OFF IT STARTED PULLING. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT RECREATE. PROGRAM UPDATE TO TCM AND $300 LATER WE LEFT. ONE MONTH LATER THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING SO BAD IT ALMOST STALLED IN INTERSECTIONS CREATING A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SCENARIO. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY TO HAVE THEM SAY WE NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNAWARE OF A RECALL ON THE NEWS REGARDING A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM FOR THE AURAS BUT NOT FOR THIS PROBLEM OR MODEL. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL SINCE IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. PLEASE CONSIDER A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. *TR
I HAVE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS DEFECTS WITH MY 2007 SATURN AURA XR. SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, I HAVE PERFORMED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE (I.E. OIL CHANGES, TIRE REPLACEMENT, BRAKE SERVICE, ETC). HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE REQUIRES CONTINUOUS REPAIR AND IS FREQUENTLY PROBLEMATIC. ON 6/6/2012, THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED WITH ONLY 71,945 MILES ON THE VEHICLE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT START FROM TIME TO TIME. I THOUGHT THE BATTERY WAS THE CAUSE SO I WENT TO ADVANCE AUTO PARTS WHERE I PURCHASED THE BATTERY. THE TECHNICIAN PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTICS TEST ON THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, AND STARTER. THE REPORT SHOWED THAT ALL THREE COMPONENTS TESTED NORMAL. ON 11/29/2012, (WHILE STILL EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE STARTING) I WENT BACK TO ADVANCE AUTO PARTS AND ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AGAIN TO SEE IF IT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. SOON AFTER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO HAVE TROUBLE STARTING. WHEN HAVING THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS REPLACED, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WITH 84,718 MILES ON THE ODOMETER - ESTIMATED OVER $700 TO REPAIR. THERE IS ALSO A MALFUNCTION WITH THE INTERIOR CONTROLS OF THE VEHICLE. THE DOOR LOCKS AS WELL AS THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL INCLUDING THE HORN DO NOT OPERATE! CONSEQUENTLY, THE DASHBOARD DISPLAYS AN AIRBAG SERVICE MESSAGE. (A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN) RECENTLY ON APRIL 1, 2014, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ALARMING NOISE WHEN I STARTED IT. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A LOCAL GM SERVICE CENTER TO BE DIAGNOSED. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD BE $100 FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS CHECK. AFTER THE INITIAL INSPECTION, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH ENGINE AND THAT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER $200 - $300 JUST TO REMOVE THE ENGINE AND DISASSEMBLE TO FURTHER INVESTIGATE. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY NOT DRIVE-ABLE. THE ENGINE AND STEERING ISSUES ARE ALSO DOCUMENTED ON SERVICE BULLETINS RELATED TO 2007 SATURN AURAS
2007 SATURN AURA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY AND OTHER VEHICLE PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER TOLD HIM TO IGNORE THE LIGHT OR CANCEL IT USING THE BUTTON ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AIR BAG ITSELF. THE PROBLEM PERSISTED AND EVENTUALLY, THE DEALER STATED THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN JUNE OF 2013, WHEN THE CONSUMER STOPPED FOR GAS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RE-START. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED 150 MILES TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS AN IGNITION MODULE. A FEW DAYS AGO, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WOULD BEEP 5 TIMES AND THEN A RED LIGHT ON THE DASH WOULD BLINK, EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER HAD HIS SEAT BELT ON. DRIVING ALONG A COUPLE OF MILES, THE BEEPING NOISE RETURNED, AS WELL AS THE RED LIGHT. THE PROBLEM WAS INTERMITTENT, BUT CONTINUED ON FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE RIDE. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS DETERMINED TO BE A MODULE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND IT WOULD COST $1242 TO REPLACE IT. *JB
TRIED TO ADJUST THE VERTICAL LIFT ON THE POWER DRIVER'S SEAT AND FELT SOMETHING PUSHING THROUGH THE SEAT ON THE LEFT SIDE. ADDITIONALLY, THE REAR LEFT OF THE SEAT WAS NO LONGER ATTACHED TO THE FLOOR AND COULD BE PULLED SEVERAL INCHES UP. ULTIMATELY DETERMINED THAT THE SEAT FRAME HAD BROKEN; SPECIFICALLY, THE HORIZONTAL BAR AT THE REAR OF THE SEAT TO WHICH THE VERTICAL LIFTER IS ATTACHED WAS BROKEN AT THE WELDS. THIS WOULD BE UNSAFE IN CASE OF A CRASH. THE CAR SEAT FRAME CANNOT BE REPAIRED. A NEW ONE COSTS $1000. I HAVE HAD MANY CARS AND NEVER HAD ONE WITH SEAT FAILURE AT THIS MILEAGE. *TR
I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE THEN I REALIZED MY CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THAT'S WHEN I NOTICED THE RPM PASSED THREE. I NOTICED BOTH MY FRONT TIRES WERE SMOKING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HE TOLD ME HE REPLACED THE BRAKES AND THE CALIPER. A MONTH LATER, IT DID THE SAME THING. HE THEN TOLD ME IT NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN AND I HAVE TO PAY. *TR
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON MONDAY (3/24/2014), SO I DROVE IT TO MY PARENTS HOUSE AFTER WORK THAT DAY. MY FATHER DROVE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP ON WEDNESDAY (3/26/14). ON THE WAY TO THE REPAIR JOB, THE CAR STOPPED CHANGING GEARS, AND SLOWED TO A STOP. HE LET IT REST FOR 10 MINUTES, THEN STARTED IT UP AND BEGAN DRIVING AGAIN. AFTER A FEW MILES, THE CAR ONCE AGAIN SUDDENLY SLOWED TO A STOP. HE LET IT REST FOR 10 MINUTES AGAIN, AND WAS THEN ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP. THE REPAIR SHOP INFORMED US THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY SHOT. THERE WERE CHEWED UP METAL SHAVINGS, PRESUMABLY FROM THE WAVE PLATE. THE TRANSMISSION MUST BE REPLACED. MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS SAME PROBLEM ACCORDING TO EDMUNDS.COM, HOWEVER, GM HAS FAILED TO ISSUE A RECALL OR REFUNDS FOR REPAIRS. *TR
UNDER GM RECALL #12106C, DATED MAY 2013, CERTAIN 2007 SATURN AURAS WERE RECALLED DUE TO TRANSMISSION ISSUES, NAMELY, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN PARK DESPITE THE INDICATOR SAYING SO. HENCE, THE VEHICLE WOULD ROLL. PROBLEMS WERE PINPOINTED TO CABLE FRAYING.GM TELLS ME THAT MY VIN# WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. HOW COULD I EXPERIENCE THE IDENTICAL PROBLEMS OUTLINED IN GM BULLETIN 12106C, BUT BE EXCLUDED FROM ANY RECALL? WAS THE VIN# RANGE INTENTIONALLY LIMITED SO AS TO LIMIT THEIR LIABILITY? *TR

I WOULD BE BOPPING ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE CHECK ENGINE AND REDUCED ENG PWR MESSAGES APPEARED ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION CONSOLE. ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK THE OTHER DAY AFTER THE RAIN STORM, I WAS DRIVING ON I-95 AND ALL OF THE A SUDDEN RECEIVED SEVERAL ERROR MESSAGES IN THE DIC: -SERVICE TRACTION -ENG PWR REDUCED THE CHECK ENGINE AND TC-DISABLED INDICATORS REMAINED LIT. SO I LIMPED THE REST OF THE WAY HOME ON WHAT FELT LIKE TWO-CYLINDERS. AFTER READING SOME INFO ON THE WEB I FOND OUT THAT WATER COULD BE COMING IN FROM SOME PLACE AND IS AFFECTING THE THROTTLE CONTROL MODULE (PART NO. 15780668). I THINK THIS IS ANOTHER ISSUE THAT GM NEED TO LOOK INTO BECAUSE IT CAN MAKE THE CAR JUST STOP ON THE HIGHWAY. *TR
TAKATA RECALL - I'M HAVING VARIOUS ISSUES. MAJORITY OF THE ISSUES ARE IN MOTION WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY OR STREET WAY. RECALL ID(204873) PROBLEMS WITH DISENGAGING CRUISE CONTROL AND BREAK SYSTEM AS WELL AS TRACTION CONTROL I GET THIS ISSUE DURING ANY TIME RECALL ID(201888) (201887)POWER TRAIN ISSUES, CAR SWERVING TO OTHER LANE ON HIGH WAY AND STREET ROADS, EMISSIONS ISSUE , AS WELL AS ROLLING ISSUE THE WIRING IS NOT CORRECTLY WORKING, AS WELL THE FUEL PUMP DOESN'T GET FUEL I MUST TURN THE KEY PUSH THE GAS UNTIL THE CAR STARTS WHEN REFILLING THE TANK THE SEATS DON'T MOVE FRONT OR BACK.
BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON ALL THE TIME WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN BRAKES ARE NOT APPLIED. CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS OFF WHEN BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON RANDOMLY. CALLED GM AND THEY CLAIM TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT.HAVE TAKEN TO LOCAL GM DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES. 1ST TIME THEY REPLACED BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH(DID NOT CORRECT PROBLEM)2ND TIME REPLACED 2 BULBS THAT WERE "DIM"(DID NOT CORRECT PROBLEM)3RD TIME APPLIED DIELECTRIC LUBRICANT TO BAS CONNECTOR, STILL NOT FIXED.WHY IS THERE A RECALL FOR THIS ON MOTORTREND WEBSITE DATED 5/14/2014 BUT GM AND THEIR DEALERS PLAY DUMB?HOW CAN PEOPLE GET THIS FIXED? *TR
AFTER EXITING THE HIGHWAY I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. UPON STARTING TO MOVE, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AND THE ENGINE REVVED TO 3000RPM AT 15-20 MPH. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE TO A PARKING LOT AND WAS FORTUNATE TO NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AS I WAS IN A LOT OF TRAFFIC. I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT UNDER THE PADDLE SYSTEM AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO PAST THE THIRD GEAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY ALSO NOTICED THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. THE ENGINE LIGHT THEN TURNED ON. THE CAR HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP WHO HAS STATED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS AN ENTIRE OVERHAUL WHICH WILL COST $3300-3400. THEY ARE CURRENTLY REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL INCLUDING FREE REPAIRS OF THIS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS WITH A VERY SIMILAR SCENARIO. *TR
PUT CAR IN PARK. THEN I SHUT DOWN ENGINE AND CAR BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I WAS UNABLE TO START CAR. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN AURA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED VIOLENTLY AND THE SERVICE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED PERIODICALLY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE POWER TRAIN, CRANK SHAFT, AND DRIVE AXLE TRANSFER CASE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF AND ON FOR 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP. ALSO, THE SERVICE TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON THE DAY BEFORE I TOOK THE CAR TO BE EVALUATED. I WAS TOLD THE TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED DUE TO THE MANUFACTURER PRESET OIL CHANGE. MY CAR HAS 85, 500 MILES ON IT AND THIS IS THE FIRST ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE REPAIR IS $3000.00. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER SATURNS AND GM VEHICLES. *TR

AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE SHIFT CABLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO THE CORRECT GEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION AFTER THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED INTO THE PARK POSITION. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE FORWARD EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE INSPECTED OR TEST DRIVEN. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL); HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER COULD DETERMINE WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN AURA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE WAS COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP LID WAS LEAKING. THE PUMP MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 61,000.

WHEN I HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHT FLASHES FROM OFF TO ON. I TALKED TO MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT MAY BE A SEAT SENSOR AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO.

THE BATTERY HAS A SHORT SOME WHERE I THINK. AT TIMES AFTER DRIVING IT WE GO TO SHUT IT OFF AND WE'LL GO IN THE STORE AND COME AND THE CAR WON'T START. WE HAVE HAD TO WAIT 2-3 HOURS BEFORE IT WOULD START UP AGAIN. SO SINCE WE LIVE IN THE DESERT IT BEING HOT WE STARTED CHECKING THINGS. WHEN THE BATTERY IS LIFTED UP ON OR MY BED AROUND THE CAR WILL THEN ATTEMPT TO START BUT IT JUST MAKES THE NOISE LIKE IT IS TRYING TO CRANK OVER AND THERE'S BEEN MULTIPLE TIMES THAT THE IGNITION HAS ATTEMPTED TO START ITSELF WHILE MESSING WITH THE BATTERY. AND THE IGNITION GETS STUCK. SOON AS WE LET GO OF THE BATTERY IT STOPS TRYING TO DO ANYTHING. WE HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER THE BATTERY AND OTHER THINGS AND NOTHING'S WORKS TO FIX IT. ALSO THE DOOR LOCKS LIKE TO ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE RANDOMLY ON THEIR OWN AS IF THE CAR IS HAUNTED. CAUSING US TO DISCONNECT THEM ALL TOGETHER.

I PARKED THE VEHICLE AT THE AIRPORT IN HONOLULU HI. PLACED THE SHIFTER IN PARK, REMOVED THE KEY AND STARTED TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN IT STARTED ROLLING DOWN THE HILL. I JUMPED BACK IN THE VEHICLE AND USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IT NOW WILL NOT SHIFT INTO PARK OR REVERSE. SEAT BELT ALERT ON DASH KEEPS TELLING ME THAT THE SEAT BELT FOR THE DRIVER IS NOT BUCKLED EVEN WHEN DRIVER IS BUCKLED IN. THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE THAT HAD BEEN HANDLED UNDER A WARRANTY CLAIM BY REPLACING THE DASH CLUSTER AFTER MANY TRIPS TO THE DEALER. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS REPLACED UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. NOW THE ISSUE HAS RETURNED AND GM IS REFUSING ANY SORT OF REPLACEMENT OR DIAGNOSIS ON THIS ISSUE EVEN THOUGH IT DEALS WITH PASSENGER SAFETY. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE IT WAS NEW AND HAVE ON GOING ISSUES WITH THE DASH CLUSTER AND IT MALFUNCTIONING WITH GM TELLING ME EVERY TIME THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER FIX IT. DEALER FOUND LEAKING FUEL PUMP AND THROTTLE BODY CABLE CONNECTOR LOOSE/DIRTY. TECH REMOVED CONNECTOR FROM THROTTLE BODY, CLEANED IT, ADDED DI-ELECTRIC GREASE AND RE-CONNECTED IT. ENGINE POWER REGAINED. FUEL PUMP REPLACED AT ANOTHER GARAGE DUE TO COST AT DEALER. NOTE: THIS WAS 2ND TIME CAR WAS TAKEN TO SAME DEALER WITH SAME PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE IN THE "ON" POSITION AND MOVING. THE ELECTRICAL STAYS ON, JUST NO ENGINE POWER AND NO WARNING LIGHTS. WORST OF ALL, CAN NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. SINCE THE CAR IS COMING INTO OR GOING OUT OF A "STOP" POSITION, YOU CAN BE TRAVELING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION AFTER COMING FROM A "STOP" LOSE THE ENGINE, & NOW YOU ARE STUCK IN THE INTERSECTION. ACTION IS TO ROLL TO A STOP WITHOUT GETTING HIT. PUT THE CAR IN "PARK". TURN THE SWITCH TO THE "OFF" POSITION EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE IS ALREADY OFF & RESTART.
