TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. HE SMELLED AN ODOR OF GASOLINE LEAKING FROM HIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR FACILITY AND A MECHANIC CONCLUDED THAT THERE WAS FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE FUEL TANK. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND A TECHNICIAN CONCLUDED THAT BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
I HAVE HAD BOTH MY POWER STEERING, IGNITION, AND REPAIRS COMPLETED REGARDING THE GAS LEAK PERTAINING TO RECALLS. HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER THE SUPPOSED "FIX," THE VEHICLE HAS STILL NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THESE ISSUES HAPPENED INITIALLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, HOWEVER, GM IS NOW JUST ACKNOWLEDGING THEM, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SERVICE BULLETINS THAT PROVE THEY KNEW AT THE TIME, SO NOW THEY ARE ONLY OFFERING ME REPEATED FAILED REPAIRS OR MONEY TOWARDS ANOTHER GM VEHICLE. GM VEHICLE'S THAT ARE BRAND NEW, TO WHICH THEY ARE STILL RECALLING! I WANT MY MONEY BACK PERIOD! GM REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE OR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FLOODING THE MARKET WITH FAULTY VEHICLES. PLEASE HELP, I'M INTERESTED IN FILING SUIT. I WAS ALREADY INVOLVED IN ONE ACCIDENT, REGARDING THE POWER STEERING, YEARS AGO WHEN IT JUST WENT OUT, THEY CLAIMED THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT, AND I PAID FOR THE REPAIRS, ONLY TO HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER A YEAR AGO, STATING IT STILL WASN'T REPAIRED, I TOOK IT BACK, AND NOW GOT A LETTER AGAIN YESTERDAY SAYING IT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED. I HAVE CHILDREN AND THIS IS OUR ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE AND I CERTAINLY DON'T FEEL THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, NOR DO I TRUST ANYTHING GM SAID AT THIS POINT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME LODGED IN THE IGNITION SWITCH WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE SPORADICALLY TURN OFF AND ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THE TECHNICIAN REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
POWER STEERING SUDDENLY BECAME INOPERABLE WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE STEERING THEN BECOMES FUNCTIONAL AGAIN AFTER THE CAR IS SHUT OFF AND RE-STARTED. THE DANGER IS THAT IT MALFUNCTIONS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. RESEARCH INDICATES THAT THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD WITH THIS VEHICLE. *TR
I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER STEERING ON MY 2007 SATURN ION. WHEN I FIRST START MY VEHICLE IT DRIVES NORMALLY, BUT AFTER ABOUT 2 MINUTES THE "PWR STR" ALERT APPEARS ON THE DASH AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN STEERING WHEEL. I UNDERSTAND THAT GM RECENTLY PUT OUT RECALLS ON OTHER MODELS, BUT THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE SATURN ION ALSO. I RECENTLY VISITED A WEBSITE WITH MANY OTHER SATURN OWNERS WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. *TR
GAS PEDAL ACCELERATING ON IT'S OWN CAUSING A WRECK OF A 2007 SATURN ION. *TR
GAS ACCELERATING ON IT'S ON IN A SATURN ION 2007 CAUSING WRECK 2 TIMES, FUSE BLEW IN POWER STEERING CAUSING WRECK 1 TIME. *TR
MY KEY BECAME LOCKED IN THE IGNITION WHILE MY SATURN ION2 WAS ENGAGED. NO MATTER WHAT I TRIED, THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN TO SHUT THE CAR OFF. I DROVE TO A MECHANIC AND HE ALSO HAD NO IDEA HOW TO DISENGAGE MY CAR. I THEN DROVE A NEARBY SATURN DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP WAS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THIS PROBLEM AND INFORMED ME THAT THIS KIND OF MALFUNCTION HAPPENED OFTEN IN SATURN IONS. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE ONLY WAY TO DISENGAGE THE CAR WHEN THE KEY IS LOCKED IS TO OPEN THE HOOD OF THE CAR (WHILE IT IS RUNNING) AND DISCONNECT THE MAIN FUSE FROM THE BATTERY. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS A TENDENCY OF RECURRING BECAUSE THE IGNITION PART IS DEFECTIVE. THE SATURN MECHANIC FIXED THE IGNITION LOCK WHICH COST A TOTAL OF 330$ INCLUDING PART AND LABOR. *TR
MY WHEEL BEGAN TO BE HARD TO TURN. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT IN THE CAR. THIS IS A 2007 CAR SO WHY HAS IT GONE OUT SO FAST AND THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE TO FIX DUE TO THIS IS AN ELECTRIC PROBLEM NOW AND THIS IS MAKING MY ARM AND SHOULDERS HURT. *TR
POWER STEERING GOES OUT AFTER ONLY A FEW MOMENTS RUNNING. DIFFICULTY STEERING AT LOW SPEEDS. EXACT SAME COMPLAINTS AS THOSE IN THE GM RECALL, THOUGH THE 2007 SATURN ION WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS USED. DEALER SAID TO FIX IT WOULD NORMALLY REQUIRE A POWER STEERING MOTOR TO BE REPLACED, BUT SINCE SATURN IS DISCONTINUED, GM WILL ONLY PROVIDE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLIES AS A FIX. INCIDENT DATE IS APPROXIMATE, THOUGH IT RECURS EVERY DAY THE CAR IS USED. *TR
FUEL PUMP LEADING TO GAS TANK HAD A CRACK. HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM. WAS LEAKING GAS. *TR
"PWR STR" WAS DISPLAYED ON THE ODOMETER AND THE POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY WENT OUT. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON, THE POWER STEERING WORKED FINE BUT EVERY TIME AFTER DRIVING FOR MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES, THE SAME THING HAPPENS AND I LOSE POWER STEERING AGAIN. *TR
THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM GOES OUT EACH TIME AFTER DRIVING 1 OR 2 MILES. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY 2007 SATURN FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON THE CAR. I HAVE A 100,000 MILE OR 5 YEAR WARRANTY AND SATURN IS SAYING IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING IS ELECTRIC. NOW I'VE THAT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SATURN. AND I'M SORRY BUT IT'S VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING WITHOUT POWER STEERING. SO DOES THIS MEAN EVERY 3 YEARS I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PAY 700 HUNDRED DOLLARS TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE POWER STEERING CUTS IN AND OUT AND SOMETIMES WHILE I'M TURNING. I COULD GET SLAMMED BY ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE ALL THE SUDDEN MY CAR LOSES IT'S POWER STEERING. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND SHE HAD TO USE FORCE TO DRIVE ONTO THE SIDE OF ROAD. SHE THEN TURNED THE VEHICLE ON AND OFF WHEN SHE NOTICED THAT THE POWER STEERING BEGAN TO WORK NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. SHE WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE BY ANOTHER DEALER. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45554.
WE HAVE A 2007 SATURN ION WITH 45,000 MILES. YESTERDAY THE POWER STEERING MOTOR WENT OUT. MOTOR IS PART OF THE STEERING COLUMN SO WE HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL REPLACED. QUOTE BY A SATURN DEALER IS $1000. WE TALKED TO A LOCAL, REPUTABLE, MECHANIC AND HE INFORMED US THAT DRIVING THE CAR IN SUCH A CONDITION COULD RESULT IN THE CAR CATCHING ON FIRE FROM THE HEAT GENERATED FROM TURNING WITHOUT THE POWER ASSIST. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE GOING BACK SEVERAL YEAR MODELS OF ION'S. WE DO NOT FEEL WE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE A SAFETY ISSUE FIXED ON THE CAR. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
THE POWER STEERING ON MY 2007 SATURN ION FAILED AT 40,000 MILES. *TR
2007 SATURN ION. COULD NOT TURN OFF IGNITION. IGNITION WAS LOCKED ON THE ON POSITION. COULD NOT REMOVE KEY. HAD TO PULL SWITCH FROM BATTERY TO TURN CAR OFF ONCE DRIVEN TO DOBBS AUTO. GOOGLED PROBLEM AND ON THE CONSUMERAFFAIRS.COM WEBSITE THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM. SATURN SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THE IGNITION. CAR IS IN SHOP NOW. WAITING TO HER HOW MUCH TO FIX IT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, A LOUD THUMPING NOISE EMITTED FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE BUT DECIDED TO REPLACED THE FRONT CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS WITHOUT PERFORMING A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,163.
I WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH TO TURN THE CAR OFF. I HAD NOTED IN THE MONTHS LEADING UP TO THIS FIRST OCCURRENCE THAT I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF, REMOVING THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH, WITHOUT PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK FIRST. I CONTACTED SATURN'S 800# FOR ASSISTANCE AND THEY HAD ME REMOVE A FUSE FROM THE ENGINE TO TURN THE CAR OFF. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A SATURN DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY, JUNE 1ST, WHERE THEY HAD TO COMPLETELY REPLACE THE IGNITION CYLINDER AS THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED. THEN, IN MARCH 2011, I FOUND THE KEY HAD A TENDENCY TO GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION UNTIL, ONCE AGAIN, I COULD NO LONGER REMOVE THE KEY OR TURN THE CAR OFF. RECALLING REMOVAL OF A FUSE AFTER THE FIRST INSTANCE, I DID SO AGAIN IN THIS CASE UNTIL I COULD GET IT TO A GARAGE FOR REPAIR. I CONTACTED SATURN'S 800# TO ADVISE THEM AS TO WHAT HAD AGAIN HAPPENED, INQUIRING IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY SORT OF A RECALL. I WAS ADVISED THERE WAS NOT. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY OWN GARAGE FOR REPAIR AND THEY HAD TO COMPLETELY REPLACE THE IGNITION CYLINDER & SWITCH. HOWEVER, THEY WERE ABLE TO DISLODGE THE KEY THIS TIME. THE VEHICLE MILEAGE AT THE TIME OF REPAIR WAS 120462. NOW, IN MARCH 2013, I AM ONCE AGAIN FINDING THE KEY HAVING A TENDENCY TO STICK. I CAN GET THE CAR TO TURN OFF, BUT THE LOCKING MECHANISM WILL NOT DISENGAGE THE DOOR LOCKS. UNLESS THE DOOR LOCKS DISENGAGE, I CANNOT GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. ON OCCASION, I'VE BEEN HAVING TO RESTART THE CAR MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE THE LOCKING MECHANISM WILL DISENGAGE THE DOOR LOCKS ALLOWING ME TO REMOVE THE KEY. MY CURRENT MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 165,000. *TR
UNABLE TO TURN IGNITION SWITCH OFF-CAR RUNS TILL FUSES PULLED OR BATTERY DISCONNECTED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED. SHE THEN PUT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL TO RESUME NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. HOWEVER AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE FAILED AGAIN.. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES FOR INSPECTION. SINCE THE TECHNICIANS COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE A REMEDY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CONCLUDED POWER STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED AT HER EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 54000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL EMITTED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETECT A FUEL LEAK. THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WAS REPLACED UNDER A SERVICE WARRANTY IN 2009 HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECENTLY RECURRED. THERE WAS A VOLUNTARY RECALL ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER RELATED TO THE FUEL MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER THE MANUFACTURER'S RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS STICKING AND MUST BE PULLED IN ORDER FOR IT TO LOOSEN. THE PEDAL MADE A POPPING SOUND WHEN THIS OCCURRED. TWO MONTHS AGO, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR AND THEY STATED THAT THE PEDAL WAS FAULTY. CURRENTLY, THE PEDAL IS STICKING ONCE AGAIN AND THE CONTACT WILL CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,650.
2007 SATURN ION. POWER STEERING INTERMITTANTLY CUT OUT WITH A CHIME AND MESSAGE OF PWR STR ON THE DASH BOARD. TURNING OFF THE POWER AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE WOULD ALLOW THE POWER STEERING TO RESET. DEALERSHIP REPLACED POWER STEERING POWER ASSIST MOTOR TO FIX ISSUE
THE ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THAT IT WILL RANDOMLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING, REFUSE TO START. THE KEY WILL NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION. IT IS COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE AND HAPPENS IN BOTH WARM AND COLD WEATHER. SOMETIMES WAITING 20 MINUTES AND TRYING AGAIN TAKES CARE OF THE ISSUE. MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, IT DOES NOT. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE FUSE SO FAR. IT CONTINUES TO BE A PROBLEM. IT CAN HAPPEN AT THE FIRST START IN THE MORNING, OR AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR SOME TIME, AND THEN SHUT OFF (EG. STOPPING AT A STORE OR TO GET FUEL) AND THEN ATTEMPTING TO RESTART. THIS HAS LEFT ME AND MY YOUNG CHILD STRANDED MORE THAN ONCE IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND EXTREME HEAT AND IS A RISK TO OUR LIVES! *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION3. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH THE POWER STEERING FAILED. HE STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. WHEN THE STEERING FAILED IT BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. HE HAD TO DRIVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE WITH GREAT EFFORT. THE NEXT DAY HE DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE STEERING COLUMN MODULE. THE DEALER STATED THAT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS SALVAGED HE HAD TO PAY $656.62 FOR THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER STATING THE IDENTICAL FAILURE AND WAS UPSET THAT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,257. POORLY DESIGNED SUNROOF DRAINAGE SYSTEM (SPECIFICALLY DRAIN NIPPLE AT END OF TUBING) CAUSING SEVERE LEAKS TO INSIDE CAB ALONG DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT DOORS AND FLOOR. WATER DAMAGE TO POWER WINDOWS, LOCKS, MIRRORS. WATER DAMAGE TO IP TO BODY HARNESS CONNECTOR UNDER FRONT DRIVER SIDE KICK PLATE CAUSING COMPUTER TO PRODUCE FALSE CHECK ENGINE CODES RELATED TO APP AND FORCING ENGINE INTO REDUCED POWER MODE AT HIGH SPEEDS CREATING POSSIBILITY FOR ACCIDENTS.
ONCE CAR WAS ON COULDN'T TURN KEY BACK TO STOP VEHICLE AND COULDN'T REMOVE KEY. HAD TO PULL IGNITION FUSE UNDER HOOD AND DISCONNECT BATTERY IN TRUNK EVERY TIME WE WANTED TO START OR STOP THE VEHICLE. FINALLY GOT A NEW IGNITION BUILT AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM BUT OF COURSE WARRANTY WAS UP AND THIS CAME OUT OF OUR POCKETS. *TR
GOODYEAR ASSURANCE TIRE TREADS SEPARATED ON 2007 SATURN ION. *NJ WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO HANDLE IMPROPERLY. A FEW SECONDS LATER, THE CONSUMER FELT SOMETHING QUICKLY WHIP AROUND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE. THE TIRE WAS NOT FLAT AND THERE WAS NO OBVIOUS DAMAGE THAT COULD BE SEEN. WHEN THE CONSUMER REACHED HIS DESTINATION, HE DISCOVERED AN 18 INCH LONG AND 2 INCH LONG WIDE PORTION OF TIRE TREAD WAS MISSING. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE TIRE WAS DEFECTIVE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 (NA) SATURN ION 3. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AT A STOP LIGHT, ANOTHER VEHICLE STRUCK THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE MOTOR AND RADIATOR WERE PUSHED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY, BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNINJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE SPEED OF THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 5,000.
I AM WRITING TO REQUEST AUTO MANUFACTURERS AND PLACES THAT RENT OR LOAN VEHICLES. I AM A PERSON OF SHORT STATURE AND REQUIRE THE USE OF PEDAL EXTENSIONS. IS THERE ANY CHANCE OF GETTING SOMETHING PASSED TO ENFORCE DEALERSHIPS, AUTO RENTAL, ETC. AND MANUFACTURERS TO INSTALL PEDALS THAT EXTEND SO THAT A PERSON WITH MY HEIGHT WOULD BE 12 INCHES AWAY FROM THE AIRBAG? *TR
WE PURCHASED A 2007 SATURN ION ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO AND WHEN MY 16 YEAR OLD (NEW DRIVER) DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IT THE IGNITION SWITCH LOCKED UP AND SHE COULD NOT SHUT THE CAR OFF. I ARRIVED AT WORK IN MY 2007 SATURN ION ON AUG 29TH, 2008 AND TRIED TO TURN OFF MY VEHICLE BUT THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULDN'T TURN TO THE OFF POSITION OR COME OUT OF THE LOCK. I CONTACTED GM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY TOWED MY CAR BUT SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT LIABLE TO PAY THE $500.00 REPAIR COSTS REQUIRED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION AND HOUSING. I JUST SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND 20 PAGES OF SIMILAR(ALMOST EXACTLY) ACCOUNTS OCCURRING WITH THE SATURN ION AND OTHER SATURN VEHICLES AND YET THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE MY TAIL LIGHT AND THE HEADLIGHT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE FROM THAT TAIL LIGHT WENT OUT. I REPLACE THE LIGHTS AND HAVE A MECHANIC LOOKS AT THE ISSUE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR BUT THEY CONTINUE TO GO OUT CONSTANTLY. PURCHASED A 2007 SATURN ION 2 WITH 20K AND I'VE HAD IT FOR LESS THEN 2 WEEKS AND DRIVEN IT ABOUT 80 MILES OR SO. 2007 SATURN ION I HAVE PUT A LITTLE OVER 5,000 MILES ON IT . CALLED THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 45-60 DAYS ABOUT KEY STICKING IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. THEY SAID DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. DIRTY KEY, OR WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU. PAST WEEKEND DID THE SAME THING BUT KEY WOULD NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO SHUT OFF OR DO ANYTHING. AFTER CALLING THEIR ROAD SIDE SERVICE AND ON HOLD FOR OVER 90 MIN BEFORE SOMEONE ANSWERED AND THEN ANOTHER HOUR TRYING TO GET SOME HELP. TOW TRUCK CAME ALMOST 3 HOURS AFTER MY ORIGINAL CALL TO THEM ALL ALONG THE CAR RUNNING AND BURNING GAS. MY COMPLAINT IS IN REGARDS TO MY 2007 SATURN ION. THE KEY GOT LOCKED IN THE IGNITION AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF. I PURCHASED A 2007 SATURN ION 3 QUAD COUP IN 2006. IN APRIL OF 2007 THE CAR BEGAN TO MAKE LOUD NOISED WHEN STARTING IT. IT WOULD IDLE HIGH AT STOPS AND WOULD FEEL LIKE I WAS ROLLING GRAVEL WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE. SATURN MADE ME WAIT AN ENTIRE WEEK FOR AN APPOINTMENT. BY TIME I BROUGHT MY CAR IN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. SATURN SAID THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG BUT JUST UPDATED THE COMPUTER CHIP. NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. I BROUGHT IT IN AND THIS TIME THEY SAID THE THROTTLE BODY WAS BROKE. THEY CLAIM TO HAVE REPLACED IT. TWO WEEKS AGO I HAD THE SAME ISSUES. LOUD NOISES, HIGH IDLING, THE CAR WOULD LITERALLY JUMP BACK WHEN I STARTED IT. I BROUGHT IT IN AGAIN, THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG AND JUST UPDATED THE COMPUTER AGAIN. YESTERDAY AS I WAS DRIVING MY CAR JUST STOPPED. THANK GOD NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED. I SEE NO REASON WHY THEIR MECHANICS CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG. ARE THEY CUTTING CORNERS TO BE ABLE TO "FIX" MORE CARS IN ONE DAY. I DON'T SEE WHY A TWO YEAR OLD CAR SHOULD HAVE ALL THESE ISSUES. I SEE FROM MANY BLOGS AND WEB PAGES THAT PEOPLE ARE HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL SATURN.
