MY GAS PEDDLE STICKS!
I HAVE A STRONG GAS SMELL COMING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL WELL AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THERE IS NO VISIBLE LEAK OUT PUDDLE UNDER THE VEHICLE. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND THERE WERE RECALLS FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES OF THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR. I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. *TR
THE MOLDING AND SIDE DOOR PANELS POST AND MIRROR ARE MELTING AND CRIMPLING. THEY WAS REPAIR TWICE. DEALER REFUSED TO CALL THE LOCAL CUSTOMER SERIVE REP FOR SATURN/GMC
SUDDEN POWER STEERING FAILURE, THE STEERING CONTINUED TO WORK BUT WITHOUT THE POWER ASSIST. WE WERE ATTEMPTING TO BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, VERY LOW SPEED, TURNING. THIS RESET WITH SHUTTING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING. GM/SATURN STATE THIS IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL.
I OWN A SATURN WHICH I GOT USED.THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER.FOUND OUT THE RECALLS HAVE ALL BEEN DONE THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE POWER STEERING BUT THE CODE THE SCANNER GAVE IS A C0550 WHICH IS A FAILURE OF THE POWER STEERING COLUMN INTERNAL CONTROLLER ISSUE.OTHER GM CARSS WITH THE SAME RECALLS THAT MY CAR HAS HAD DONE INCLUDE THE COLUMN BUT NOT MINE.IT SEEMS THAT THEY SEEM TO SHARE STE SAME COMPONETS AND FAILURES.THIS PART ALONE IS OVER $500 WITHOUT LABOR.THE TECH TOLD ME THAT ITS NOT A HARD JOB AND HES DONE ALOT OF THEM.SEARCHING THE INTERNET ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE COLUMN.THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM BUT CUSTOMERS LIKE ME AREE HAVING TO PAY FOR THE CORRECTION
FUEL LEAKING FROM GAS TANK AREA, BECAME AWARE WHEN PASSENGER CABIN FILLED WITH FUEL VAPOR ,NOTICED GAS SMELL FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS WHEN WALKING NEAR REAR OF VEHICLE FUEL MILEAGE HAS BEEN TERRIBLE SINCE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. HAD VEHICLE INTO DEALERSHIP AND COMPLAINED ABOUT MILEAGE, I BELIEVE WAS LOOSING FUEL FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME BEFORE THIS MAJOR LEAK OCCURRED. IT MADE MY WIFE AND MYSELF ALONG WITH MY FAMILY DOG VERY SICKLY. HAD INTO DEALERSHIP 3 MONTS AGO AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO LEAK,BUT THEY FAILED TO DROP TANK AND INSPECT AS PER GM RECALL 09226. NOW AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE TELLING ME I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR TO GAS TANK/SENDING UNIT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. THIS IS NOT WHAT IS STATED ON RECALL FROM GM GLOBAL WARRANTY MANAGEMENT ON BULLETIN 09226C DATED JULY 19TH 2015
VEHICLE WILL NOT TURN OVER TO START, ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS WORK( RADIO, LIGHTS, ETC.) UPON INSPECTION OF VEHICLE I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE IGNITION SWITCH AGAIN! THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE CAR RESTARTED IS TO JUMP IT. A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO GET THIS RESOLVED AGAIN, SO I AM WRITING THIS TO GET IT FIXED ONCE AND FOR ALL. I LOVE MY SATURN AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW CAN I TAKE IT IMMEDIATELY TO A GM DEALER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. IN OCTOBER OF 2016, WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS SUDDENLY DEPRESSED. HOWEVER, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A VEHICLE AND, IN TURN, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. IN DECEMBER OF 2017, WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, A PICK-UP TRUCK CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE RIGHT KNEE, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO BODY MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING SEIZED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN LOCAL GMC DEALER IN BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOCKING SYSTEM AND IGNITION KEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ENTIRE FUEL LINE FROM GAS TANK TO ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO CORROSION/RUST. GAS IS LEAKING NEAR REAR DRIVERS SIDE REAR TIRE FROM FUEL LINE. MATERIAL USED FOR GAS LINE SHOULD BE NON CORROSION. MY VEHICLE HAD FUEL TANK MODULE RECALL DONE 12 MONTHS AGO AND NOW FUEL LINES NEED TO BE REPLACED. FUEL LINES SHOULD NEVER CORRODE SINCE IT MAY LEAD TO FIRE.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING AGAIN. THIS WILL BE MY THIRD RECALL REPLACEMENT PART. POWER STEERING HAS FAILED AND REPAIRED BY 2 GM DEALERSHIPS. GM SUGGESTED FOR SAFETY REASONS TOWING CAR WOULD BE ADVISED BUT GUESS WHO HAS TO PAY FOR THE TOWING ME NOT GM WHO MANUFACTURER UNSAFE VEHICLES. NHTSA YOU'VE LOST INTEREST IN HELPING AND MOVED ON TO THE NEXT MANUFACTURER AIR BAG PROBLEM. I NOW UNDERSTAND WHAT RISK MEANS. MY CAR FALLS IN THAT RISK PERCENTAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT SATED THAT THE ENGINE HESITATED TO START AND THE VEHICLE EMITTED A STRONG FUEL ODOR. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, WHICH LOCATED A FUEL LINE LEAK AT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL AREA. THE FUEL LINE WAS FOUND FRACTURED DUE TO CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, A FUEL ODOR ENTERED THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, A FUEL LEAK WAS DISCOVERED UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS PREMATURE RUST AND CORROSION ASSOCIATED WITH THE HEAT SHIELD AROUND THE SUPPLY LINES ON THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL. THERE WERE ALSO STRONG FUMES ENTERING THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SUPPLY AND RETURN LINES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD A SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE REMEDY PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000. UPDATED 02/22/2017*CT CONSUMER STATED THE HEAT SHIELD (FIBERGLASS W/ALUMINIUM COVERING) WAS WRAPPED AROUND BOTH THE FUEL AND BRAKE LINES WHERE THEY RUN CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST BY LEFT REAR WHEEL. IT APPEARS THE BRAKE LINES WEREN'T AFFECTED BECAUSE OF SOME TYPE OF BLACK COATING. FUEL LINES WERE LIGHTLY PLATED WITH SOME TYPE OF METAL AND IT DIDN'T WORK VERY WELL. THE HEAT SHIELD CREATED THIS PROBLEM. UPDATED 6/22/18*JB
THE CAR WOULDN'T START RIGHT AWAY AFTER NOT RUNNING FOR AWHILE. IT ALSO SMELLED LIKE GASOLINE. UPON TAKING IT TO THE DEALER, IT WAS DISCOVERED THERE WAS A FUEL LEAK AND THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. AFTER INVESTIGATING RECALLS ON THE 2007 SATURN ION I DISCOVERED A RECALL IN EFFECT FOR CARS IN CERTAIN STATES, OHIO WAS NOT ONE OF THEM. THE RECALL MENTIONED THAT IT WAS FOR CARS REGISTERED OR SOLD IN THE "HOT" STATES. THE DEALER WOULDN'T EVEN LET MY DAUGHTER DRIVE IT WHILE WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS RECALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE WIDESPREAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A RESULT OF AN INTERNAL FAULT IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. FOUR MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS REMEDIED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,123.
HAD IGNITION RECALL DONE, NOW KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION SO CAR CAN NOT BE TURNED TO OFF POSITION OR REMOVE KEY. THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE RECALL WAS DONE. HAVE SEEN MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL SATURN. THIS SHOULD' BE A RECALL ITEM BY GMC AS IT IS OBVIOUSLY INSTALLING FAULTY PARTS. I BELIEVE THIS ITEM COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE A FIRE HAZARD. WHEN I TALKED TO THE GMC DEALER I WAS TOLD SINCE THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. (EVEN THO WITH FAULTY PARTS) IT WOULD COST $110.00 JUST TO CHECK IT OUT AND THEN A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE TO FIX THE PROBLEM THEY CAUSED WHEN DOING THE RECALL
COMPLAINTS INVOLVING AUTOMATIC POWER GEAR SHIFT NOT WORKING PROPERLY. NOT ABLE TO ENGAGE THE GEAR SHIFT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO GET THE KEY OUT OF IGNITION. HAVE TO KEEP ON STARTING AND SHIFTING IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO DISENGAGED THE KEY OUT. CAN NO LONGER DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE AFRAID WON'T BE ABLE TO GET THE KEY OUT OF IGNITION. THIS ALL STARTED AFTER WE HAD A RECALL ON IGNITION WHICH WAS REPLACED. THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT FOR SOME REASON THIS VIN# WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THIS IS AN ISSUE ON THE SAME MODEL, YEAR, CAR WITH DIFFERENT VIN#. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD INTO THIS SITUATION FOR WHICH I'M PRETTY SURE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS VIN# ALSO. I HAD TO CALL A LOCK SMITH ONE TIME BECAUSE I WASN'T ABLE TO GET THE KEY OUT OFF IGNITION SINCE THEN HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS AFTER I'VE BEEN DRIVING AND THEN I GO TO PARK IT AND NOT ABLE TO TAKE KEY OUT OF IGNITION BECAUSE THE GEAR SHIFT ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY.

THE FAILURE STARTED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
GAS LEAK COMING FROM TOP OF GAS TANK I HAVE GRANDCHILDREN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000.
A GENERAL MOTOR RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED IN THE PAST FOR A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ONLY ON CERTAIN VEHICLES IN THE PAST YEAR. A PROBLEM IS CORROSION OF THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MODULE AND THE TORQUE SENSOR CONNECTOR MAY CAUSE A LOSS OF THE POWER STEERING. THIS WILL CAUSE GREATER OPERATING POWER BY THE DRIVER UNDER LOW SPEED DRIVING AND CAUSES A GREATER CHANCE OF AN ACCIDENT OR DEATH BECAUSE THE DIFFICULTY IN DRIVING A VEHICLE EFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM. GM HAS MADE THIS A RECALL TO BE FIXED IN THE DEALER, BUT ONLY CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE SATURN ION WAS INVOLVED, AND I HAD IT CORRECTED, BUT WHAT I EXPERIENCED BEFORE, IS BACK AGAIN, AND I BELIEVE THE POWER STEERING ASSIST IS DEFECTIVE AGAIN. MANY RECALLS IN THE PAST HAVE BEEN REOCCURRING ISSUES WITH VEHICLES, AND THIS MAY BE ANOTHER ONE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
FUEL TANK IS LEAKING GASOLINE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
LOOSE SPEED WHILE DRIVING DROP FROM 55 TO 10 ALMOST COMES TO COMPLETE STOP. IT STARTED ON HIGHWAY DRIVING NOW IT DOES IT ON CITY STREETS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR DAYS AT A TIME.

I HAVE TO HAVE THE ELECTRICAL COMPUTER REPLACED - THE CAR DROPS TO 1ST GEAR AND DOESN'T MOVE UP, THE DOOR LOCKS LOCK THEN UNLOCK AND CONTINUE TO DO THAT, THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, THE POWER STEERING ALARM COMES ON (BUT I DON'T LOSE POWER STEERING) AND THE SPEEDOMETER STOPS WORKING! THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING WITH NO NOTICE EXCEPT THE DOOR LOCKS START FIRST THEM THE OTHER ISSUES HAPPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY.

THE CONTACT NOTICED FUEL LEAKING FROM THE FUEL PUMP DIRECTLY BEHIND THE DRIVER SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
THE HOOD LATCH IS HAVING TO BE REPLACED FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 6 YEARS. IT WILL LATCH BUT THE SPRING WILL NOT GO OVER ALL THE WAY SO THE HOOD LATCH DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE. I WAS DRIVING FROM NC TO NY AND AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 400 MILES I GOT GAS AND THE HOOD LATCH HAD LOOSENED AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO CLOSE TIGHT. I PULLED UP ON IT AND IT SECONDARY PART OF THE LATCH STAYED CONNECTED SO I CONTINUED TO DRIVE. ONCE IN NY I CALLED THE DEALER AND THE ENTIRE LATCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND IT COST ME $200 AND THE BEST PART IS THAT IT HAD BEEN REPLACED ONCE BEFORE ROUGHLY 6 YEARS AGO. THE FACT THAT I HAD TO PAY $200 FOR SOMETHING THAT IN MY OPINION IS A SAFETY ISSUE IS RIDICULOUS ESPECIALLY SINCE IT HAD BEEN REPLACED ONCE BEFORE.
THERMSTAT GAUGE DOES NOT REGISTER A TEMPERATURE
HAD A VERY STRONG SMELL OF FUEL, TOOK IN TO HAVE CHECKED OUT . SPECIAL COVERAGE ON CRACKED FUEL TANK INLET CONTROL VALVE. THEY ENDED UP REPLACING THE FUEL TANK AND FILLER TUBE, HOSE, SEAL, AND CAM. RETURNED CAR 3 DAYS LATER STILL SMELLING FUEL, AND SOUNDED LIKE THEY THREW PARTS ON AND DIDN'T ATTACH THEM. REPLACED FUEL MODULE. RETURNED CAR 1 WEEK LATER STILL SMELLS STRONG FUEL TO BE TOLD THAT FUEL PIPES ARE RUSTED THROUGH AND GAS IS STILL LEAKING FROM THAT. NOT COVERED. THEY NOW WANT $870.03 TO STOP THE REST OF THE FUEL LEAK. ONLY HAVE 61,000 MILES ON IT. HOW MUCH WILL BE PAID TO MY FAMILY WHEN I GET BLOWN UP IN MY CAR FROM THE LEAKING METAL PIPES? PLASTIC STUFF WAS ALL COVERED. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS COVERED BY SPECIAL COVERAGE. WHY ISN'T THIS IF THIS IS LEAKING FUEL ON THE GROUND TOO?

IT'S JUST A HORRIBLE CAR AND I WISH I HAD SPENT MY MONEY ELSE WHERE IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I TRADE IN THIS CAR FOR SOMETHING THE SAME VALUE I AM VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THIS CAR.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,813.

IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,000.
I HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON AND OFF. MY VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 65,000 MILES ON IT AND I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT WITH PASSENGERS. MY GAS CAP LIGHT IS ON AND OFF AS WELL, AND NOW, WATER IS POOLING ON THE FLOOR FOR NO REASON AFTER A DEALER LOOKED AT MY CAR. I HAVE REPORTED MY AIRBAG CASE TO GM, AS WELL AS TO THE NHTSA HOTLINE. I FEEL LIKE AIRBAG ISSUES SHOULD BE COVERED IN ALL VEHICLES, PARTICULARLY IF THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A CRASH. I DO NOT HAVE AN AIRBAG ON/OFF SWITCH, SO I HAVE NO WAY TO TURN IT ON/OFF. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT MAY DEPLOY FOR NO REASON, POSSIBLY INJURING MY PASSENGERS. ALL OF MY ISSUES ARE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. WHEN PARKING MY CAR AT A VERY LOW SPEED, MY CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING WHICH MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO PARK MY CAR.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS PROPELLED SAID VEHICLE INTO A THIRD VEHICLE (DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE REFERENCE VEHICLE) ALSO STOPPED AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE RESULTING COLLISION CAUSED MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE TO THE SATURN ION IN QUESTION, CRUMPLING THE HOOD APPROXIMATELY 2 FEET TOWARD THE REAR OF THE CAR. IN SPITE OF THE APPARENT FORCE OF THE COLLISION ON THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
THERE IS A BOSH/CDR REPORT FROM ESIS OF GENERAL MOTORS OUTLINING THE DATA RECEIVED FROM THE CRASH FOR NON-DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG. MR. SEGOVIA OF GM STATED THAT THE AIRBAG SHOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED BASED ON THE STATISTIC FROM THIS REPORT. I DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT HE HAS STATED. I NEED A REVIEW OF THE REPORT FOR COMPLIANCE REGARDING THE NON-DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG TO MY 2007 SATURN ION. GM THROUGH ESIS HAS REFUSED TO SURRENDER THE REPORT TO THE DEFECTED SEATBELTS. MY GENERAL MOTORS PENDING CLAIM #816261. I HAVE NOTICED ANDREW SEGOVIA, ESQ., MS. MARY T. BARRA, CEO, MR. DANIEL AMMANN, PRESIDENT OF GM REGARDING THE SECOND HALF OF THE CLAIM OF THE DEFAULTED/RECALL OF THE POWER STEERING DURING THE CRASH. MR. SEGOVIA HAS CONFIRMED ESIS'S EMAIL STATING THAT THERE WAS A POWER STEERING RECALL/DEFECT TO MY CAR VIN NUMBER AND REMAINED OPEN. THERE WAS THE DEBRIS ON THE HIGHWAY THAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT AND THEN THERE WAS THE DEFECTED POWER STEERING PROBLEM WITH MY 2007 SATURN ION WHICH CAUSED THE CRASH. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL BY GM. THE DEFAULTED POWER STEERING CAUSED THE CRASH. IN THE OUTSET OF THIS CLAIM, GENERAL MOTORS WAS AWARE THAT THE POWER STEERING OF THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE. I TRIED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SO THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CRASH INTO THE RAIL GUARD BUT FAILED. I COULD NOT STEER THE VEHICLE. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE POWER STEERING RECALL AND DEFECT, THE CAR WOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND OPERABLE AT THE TIME THE CAR CRASHED. BUT GENERAL MOTORS DEFECTED POWER STEERING CAUSED ME TO HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE POWER STEERING OF THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM THE RAIL GUARD SO THE CAR WOULD NOT CRASH INTO THE RAIL GUARD. THE POWER STEERING WAS INOPERABLE AND AS A RESULT CAUSED THE CRASH. I AM AWAITING A RESPONSE BACK FROM GENERAL MOTORS IN THE RESOLUTION/SETTLEMENT OF THIS MATTER AS WELL AND OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE LOANER VEHICLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,900.
