Passenger headlight dim. Grand Street Batteey and Electric replaced bulb and states voltage to connector is good.the vehicle is available for inspection. Headlight is not bright enough to utilize at night as it should be for owner or traffic. No warning lamps light up on instrument panel.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact stated that the air bag, the traction control, and the electronic stability control warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that after opening the liftgate with the power liftgate button, the liftgate unexpectedly lowered, and struck her on the head. The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice. The contact had head pain, but medical assistance was not required. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failures to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 07V062000 (Air Bags) and 15V415000 (Structure); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
When it's cold I get frost inside my vehicle I replaced my windshield because I thought air was getting inside to cause the frost but after getting it replaced same issue water is leaking in and causing moisture and causing my vehicle not wanting to start because it's doing something to the battery
While driving, the car will automatically shift into 1st gear. Steering will then be disabled to the point of crash. Transmission/computer issue. Major issue with Saturn Outlooks.
I HAVE A WIRE THAT BURNED-OUT AND IT CONTROLS MY WINDOWS, SUNROOF,MY AC CONTROLS, AND THEN ALSO MY TRANSMISSION IS SHUTERING
I just purchased this vehicle & on my way home with it the check engine light came on. I hooked up the diagnostic code scanner on the car and it threw several different codes PO700, PO752, PO420. There are specific transmission issues with this particular year, make, and model. My car has the exact same symptoms as the others that were recalled so why has mine not been recalled as well? It's malfunctioning just as the others described in the recall so clearly this is a common issue with these particular vehicles. I feel my car should be covered as part of the safety recall on the transmission and I need it repaired as soon as possible.
THE VEHICLES AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING APPROPRIATELY WITH FLUCTUATING CHANGES OF SPEEDS, THEN THE CAR WOULD NOT MAINTAIN A SAFE SPEED TO EXIT THE FREEWAY. AFTER PARKING I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD IT DELIVERED TO THE CLOSEST DEALER WHERE THEY HAD PUT IN A REBUILT TRANSMISSION WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD 90,223 MILES BACK IN 2013. NOW, LESS THAN 50,000 MILES LATER THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THE VEHICLE NEEDS ANOTHER TRANSMISSION AT THE COST OF $5,500. IF A VEHICLE ONLY GETS 50,000 MILES OUT OF A TRANSMISSION SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT! I HAVE MY RECEIPTS FROM THE FIRST TRANSMISSION THAT CLEARLY INDICATE THE MILEAGE.
HI! I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CAR FROM A DEALERSHIP CALLED EPB AUTO. THE CAR I PURCHASED WAS DESCRIBES AS HAVING NO RECALLS NOR OTHER PROBLEMS BESIDES THE ABS LIGHT (WHICH I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER WOULD GO OFF WITH NEW TIRES) ON AND A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE DEALER SPECIFIED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WAS JUST THE GAS CAP. WHICH HE CLAIMED THAT THE MECHANIC READ WITH HIS COMPUTER. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS, ALSO CLAIMED HE'D REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD. WHICH HE DID NOT. I TRIED TO CALL TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION. HE CLAIMED THE MOBILE MECHANIC WON'T BE ABLE TO COME OUT UNTIL MONDAY. MY WHOLE VITALITY RELIES ON THAT VEHICLE AND I CANNOT FIND A MECHANIC THAT WILL FIX THE RECALLS. PLEASE HELP! RECALLS INCLUDE THE TIMING CHAIN AND TIMING TENSIONER, WINDSHIELD, LIFTGATE, AIR BAG SENSORS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURES.
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK, OWNERS MANUAL SAYS IT IS THE EXTERIOR HVAC SENSOR. AFTER PLENTY OF RESEARCH HAVE DISCOVERED IT IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE 2007 SATURN OUTLOOK. MANY COMPLAINTS ARE OF PEOPLE REPLACING THIS SENSOR NUMERPUS TIMES ONLY TO HAVE THE SENSOR MALFUNCTION SHORTLY AFTER. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE SENSOR BE REPOSITIONED ELSEWHERE ON THE VEHICLE. WITH 100+ TEMPS AND NO WAY TO COOL THIS VEHICLE IT IS A DANGER TO ITS OCCUPANTS, ESPECIALLY BEING AN 8 SEATER MOST LIKELY TO HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN THE BACK WHERE THE HEAT GETS UNBEARABLE. NOW THAT SUMMER IS HITTING WE CAN HARDLY DRIVE TOO FAR BECAUSE MY 1 YEAR OLD SON TURMS BRIGHT RED FROM THE HEAT.
AFTER I TURN ON MY HEADLIGHTS THEY WILL BE FINE FOR A BIT AND THEN ONE WILL GO OUT AND SOMETIMES THE OTHER WILL FOLLOW SUIT. IT CAN BE EITHER IF THEM. SOMETIMES I CAN TURN THE LIGHTS ON AND THEN OFF AND IT WILL COME BACK ON. *TR
AIR BAG SENSOR IN PASSENGER SEAT FAILS INTERMITTENTLY AND LIGHT SUP THE AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD, AND DISABLES THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG, EVEN WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER IS OCCUPYING THE SEAT. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHENEVER THE CAR IS POWERED ON.

WATER IS LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE CAUSE ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONING. WATER IS COLLECTING INTO THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT. ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS CAUSED BY WATER INCLUDE RADIO, LIGHTS; DASHBOARD( SHUTS OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN COMES BACK ON) AND INTERIOR, DOOR LOCKS, STABILITY TRACK MALFUNCTION AT WHICH POINT THE CAR WILL SHAKE AND SHUT ITSELF OFF WHILE BEING DRIVEN ABOVE 40 MPH.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I DROVE INTO SOME WATER ON THE ROAD AND LOST STEERING. THE WHEEL BECAME VERY VERY HARD TO STEER. THEN IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIME ON THE HIGHWAY. TONIGHT, DRIVING HOME IN THE RAIN AND WENT THREW A PUDDLE OF WATER ON THE ROAD. LOST STEERING ABILITY AND HAD TO STOP THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I COULD NOT MAKE MY TURN FOR THE STEERING WAS SOME HARD. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE CHARGING LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL WHEN I WENT THREW THIS PUDDLE OF WATER. THE SHOULD BE A RECALL A.S.A.P. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN

SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT RANDOMLY CAME ON
THE REAR LIFT GATE OR STRUT SUPPORT FOR THE HATCH OF MY 2007 SATURN, OUTLOOK GRADUALLY FELL ON MY SON AND I WHILE PUTTING THE GROCERIES IN THE CAR AT WALMART MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS AGO; NOW THE HATCH NO LONGER HOLDS ITS WEIGHT AND DROPS WHEN YOU TRY TO LIFT IT, BECAUSE IT IS PRETTY HEAVY, SO AS OF TODAY, I HAVE NOT USED THE HATCH FOR MANY MONTHS NOW, BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE. I HAVE CALLED A FEW DEALERS THAT DEAL WITH SATURN, GMC EVEN BUICK AND THEY ALL SAY THAT THEY DO NOT WORK ON VEHICLES OVER 10 YEARS. (?) ONE OF THE MECHANICS SAID THAT HE THOUGHT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE LIFT GATE LIKE 3 YEARS AGO.? I AM TO THE POINT THAT I MIGHT AS WELL FIND A LOCAL MECHANIC TO FIX THE LIFT GATE OR STRUT FOR THE HATCH. ALSO, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE JANUARY OR FEBRUARY OF 2019 AND IT WON'T TURN OFF OR RESET?
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR IN THE SEAT DOES NOT WORK. I HAD THIS ISSUE IN THE PAST, I HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT STILL HAD TO PAY THE $250 DEDUCTIBLE FOR IT TO BE FIXED. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT MUST HAVE GOTTEN WET. I CAN TELL YOU AT THAT TIME 100% IT DID NOT GET WET. AND EVEN IF THE SEAT HAD GOTTEN WET (WHICH SOMETIMES THINGS GET SPILLED) IT SHOULD NOT HAVE AFFECTED THE SENSOR I.E IT SHOULD BE INCASED SOMEHOW TO PROTECT IT FROM MOISTURE. I NOW HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND THE WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SOME TIME. I DO NOT HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX THE SENSOR WHICH IS HOW MUCH THE DEALER CHARGES FOR THIS REPAIR, THE VEHICLE BEING 12 YEARS OLD ISN'T EVEN WORTH A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN WHAT IT WOULD COST TO HAVE THE DEALER FIX IT. I HAVE LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE AND THERE AND A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. GM SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THESE SENSORS SINCE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITHOUT CHARGING ITS CUSTOMERS A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW FOR THE RECORD.
RECEIVING MESSAGE ON DASH DISPLAY: ENGINE POWER REDUCED, SERVICE STABILITRAK, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. NOTICE A SEVER DROP IN ENGINE POWER AND WILL PRACTICALLY NOT MOVE IF PUT IN GEAR. TYPICALLY NOTICED WHEN STARTING VEHICLE AND PULLING AWAY. CAN TURN VEHICLE OFF FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND ISSUE IS NOT EXPERIENCED. (UNTIL THE NEXT TIME) THERE IS NO TYPICAL COMBINATION OF EVENTS THAT HAPPEN BEFORE ISSUE OCCURS, RANDOM. HAVE CHECKED FORUMS ONLINE AND SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS AND OTHER SIMILAR VEHICLES FROM GM (OUTLOOK, ACADIA, ENCLAVE, TRAVERSE)
WHEN STARTING THE STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON AND THE BUZZER GOES OFF, THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS FLICKERS OFF AND ON. THIS CAUSES A ROUGH IDLE LIKE A MISFIRE .I HAVE HAD PLUGS AND COIL PACKS REPLACED AS WELL AS SHOCKS AND STRUTS. ERROR STILL REMAINS. MECHANIC SAYS ONE ISSUE TRIGGERS THE OTHER. HAVE SEEN 100'S OF OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON FULL SIZE GM TRUCKS AND OTHER SUVS. HOPEFULLY SOON A RECALL ISSUE
THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE FOULK ROAD AUTOMOTIVE CENTER ON FEBRUARY ART 15TH TO GET A TRANSMISSION REBUILD. UPON COMPLETION AND ROAD TEST THE CAR WAS DRIVEN AND THE ENGINE SEIZED UP DURING THE TEST RUN AFTER CORRECT PROGRAMMING.
ON JANUARY29 2019 I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IT DID NOT OPEN AND THE IMPACT WAS ON THAT SIDE OPENED THAT ONE THAT OPENED WHAT'S ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND THERE WAS A LOT OF SMOKE COMING OFF-THE- AIRBAG COMING UP AND I COULDN'T BREATHE THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON THE STREET
TAKATA RECALL WHILE BOLT ASSEMBLY BROKE OFF AT FRAME HOLDING GAS TANK UP. THERE ARE THREE METAL 'STRAPS' HOLDING GAS TANK IN PLACE AND THE BACK ONE BROKE OFF FROM FRAME BOLT AND ALL STILL INTACT. I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON A BUSY STREET WHEN IT BROKE OFF. I WASN'T TURNING OR ANYTHING AND THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40 MPH.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO LOCK OR STALLING WHILE TAKING A TURN. INITIALLY THIS WAS A RARELY OCCURRENCE. SO I WENT TO AN AUTO SHOP TO MAKE SURE THAT STEERING FLUID IS AT ITS PROPER LEVELS; IT WAS. THEN A WEEK LATER, THE STEERING STARTED TO LOCK FREQUENTLY WHILE TAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. I THEN WENT TO ANOTHER MECHANICAL SHOP FOR A SECOND OPINION AND THEY FOUND NOTHING. JUST YESTERDAY(2/9/2019), MY VEHICLE STARED TO HUM AND THE STEERING WHEEL ONCE AGAIN TRIED TO LOCK ON ME WHILE MAKING ANOTHER TURN AND ALMOST CAUSED ME 2 ACCIDENTS ON A MAJOR ROAD. I WAS THEN TOLD TO LOOK UP TO SEE IF THERE'S ANY RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE AND I FOUND NOTHING BUT I DID FIND THE EXACT SAME ISSUES THAT MY SATURN IS EXPERIENCING CURRENTLY FROM PREVIOUS RECALLS
TAILGATE NOT. WORKING PROPERLY I THE DEALERSHIP THE SAY IS GOOD
MY FIRST ISSUE IS THAT EVERYTIME IT RAINS, WATER LEAKS FROM THE SUNROOF. THE AREA AROUND THE SUNROOF WILL BE SOAKED AND DRIPPING DOWN INTO THE SEATS AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR. ALSO MY LIFTGATE DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE TO MANUALLY LIFT IT ALL THE WAY UP AND DOWN. I CAN HEAR THE GEARS TURNING BUT THEY DON'T WORK.

THE S.I.R FAULT ON THE PASSENGER SEAT PRESENCE MODULE HAS ELIMINATED WITH OUT ANY USE INCIDENT.
MY HEADLIGHT KEEPS BURNING OUT. I'VE BOUGHT THE CAR USED A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND I'VE REPLACED 4 HEADLIGHTS AND HAD THE WIRING HARNESS REPLACED TWICE. IT KEEPS OVERHEATING AND BURNING OUT.
TRANSMISSION HOT IDLE ENGINE
I BOUGHT IT USED AND ITS HAS BEEN SAYING SERVICE AIR BAGS ON THE DASH AND THE LIGHT THAT SAYS ITHE AIR BAG IS ON AND OFF MOSTLY IS IN THE OFF POSITION WHICH IS LOCATED ABOVE THE AIR CONDITIONER PANEL. ALSO O. THE DASH ITS POPS UP THE RED PICTURE OF A PERSON SITTING IN THE FRONT SEATS WITH AN AIR BAG IN FRONT OF THEM FACING THE AIR BAG. THE LIGHT IS STARTING TO GET STUCK ON MEANING MY AIR BAG MAY NOT BE WORKING AT ALL. I AM DRIVING WHEN IT COMES ON AND NOW IT IS ON WHEN I START THE VEHICLE MEANING ITS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY OR AT ALL. I THINK IT COULD BE INVOLVED WITH THIS RECALL ABOUT THE AIRBAG MODULE. THE RECALL NUMBER IS 07V062000
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, IT LOSES POWER AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF GEAR. THEN, THE CAR DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO DRIVE FASTER THAN 40 MPH.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN OUTLOOK. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR FLASHED. ALSO, THE AIR CONDITIONING BLEW OUT SMOKE AND THE TRANSMISSION JERKED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN HOME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURES OCCURRED FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE A HALF MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO CAPITAL CHEVROLET OF COLUMBIA (111 NEWLAND RD, COLUMBIA, SC), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND WAS INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
HAVING ISSUE WITH LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS NOT OPERATING. I HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT OR DURING RAIN. HAD A MASTER MECHANIC LOOK AT IT AND HE SAID IT IS THE HEADLIGHT HARNESS. THAT IT TENDS TO MELT AND IT WILL COST ME AN ARM AND A LEG TO REPLACE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AND IT SHOULD BE ON RECALL BECAUSE THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT OR DURING RAIN STORMS HAVING TO LEAVE MY HIGH BEAMS ON ONLY IRRITATES OTHER DRIVERS NOT TO MENTION MYSELF.
AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN LIT UP FOR AWHILE NOW. THEY SAY I NEED A NEW SENSOR. IS THIS NOT THE SAME ISSUE FROM A PREVIOUS RECALL? WHY DOES THIS NOT SHOW UP UNDER THAT RECALL?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED; HOWEVER, THE STRUTS AND BUSHES WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
MY TRANSMISSION DIED IN 2012 HAD PUT ANOTHER TRANSMISSION. SITTING IN 2018 I NEED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION WHY CAN'T THEY FIX THIS PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHAMPION CHEVROLET DEALER AT 5000 E GRAND RIVER AVE IN HOWELL, MI, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 197,000.
UPON DRIVING VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO PARALLEL PARK AND WITHOUT WARNING POWER STEERING WAS LOST ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER WHERE THE PRESSURE HOSE WAS TO BE REPLACED AT $500. MOMENTARILY REGAINED POWER WITH LOUD NOISES WHILE TURNING. SERVICE CENTER REPLACED PUMP AT $700+ AND I STILL HAVE NO POWER STEERING. NOW I MAY HAVE TO REPLACE RACK AND PINIONS. I HAVE A LARGE FAMILY AND AFRAID TO TRAVEL WITH THEM IN THE VEHICLE AT ALL.
THE KEYLESS ENTRY BROKE WE NEVER HAD ONE SO DON'T KNOW IF PUSH BUTTON TO OPEN AND CLOSE ELECTRONICALLY OR NOT BUT IF U OPEN GATE IT AUTOMATICALLY CLOSES ALMOST FALLING ON YOU.
THE FACTORY INSTALLED SUNROOF LEAKS RAINWATER INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR. IT HAS AFFECTED AIRBAGS, SENSORS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND POWER SYSTEMS. IF THE CAR GETS WET, THE WATER TRAVELS TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO CIRCUIT BOARDS AND DISCHARGES THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WILL DIE IN TRAFFIC IF WATER TRAVELS TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD DURING DRIVING. AIRBAGS HAVE EVIDENCE OF WATER TRAVELING THROUGH THEIR ASSEMBLY. FLOOR AND SEATS ARE WET AFTER RAIN, SPRINKLER, CAR WASH, MORNING DEW. DOESN'T SEEMS TO BE DEPENDENT ON AMOUNT OF WATER RECEIVED. BATTERY TESTS FINE ON FULL CHARGE. ALTERNATOR FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. PROBLEM IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO SUNROOF LEAKAGE. SUNROOF SEAL IS NOT YET UNDER RECALL. YESTERDAY, AFTER A DAY OF RAIN, THE CAR HAD TO BE CHARGED TO DRIVE TO WORK. DROVE 20 MILES WITH NO APPARENT POWER ISSUES, BUT AIRBAG SENSORS SENT ALERT THROUGH THE DASH THAT AIRBAGS NEEDED SERVICING. AFTER WORK 7 HOURS LATER, CAR DROVE INTO OKC RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, WATER IN THE ROOF SLOSHED (YOU CAN HEAR IT) AND THE CAR DIED. IN TRAFFIC. COMPLETELY DISCHARGED THE BATTERY. NO LIGHTS. NO HAZARDS. NO DOOR LOCKS. NO BRAKES, STEERING, ABILITY TO MOVE THE CAR IN OR OUT OF GEAR, OR EVEN REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. CAR HAD TO BE JUMPED IN ORDER TO PUT GEAR INTO NEUTRAL TO MOVE OUT OF TRAFFIC AND REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION. CHARGED ALL NIGHT ON TRICKLE CHARGER AND WAS RUNNING FINE TODAY. EXCEPT, IT'S RAINING NOW.
PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER STEERING
RECENTLY, WE HAVE NOTICED THE SUNROOF OF OUR OUTLOOK STARTED LEAKING INTO THE FRAME OF THE CAR. WE DON'T USE IT MUCH, SO IT WAS AN ANNOYANCE, IT WOULD DRIP WATER ON THE DRIVER'S LAP AFTER A RAIN. THEN RAINWATER STARTED LEAKING OUT OF AIRBAGS IN THE FRONT DASH AND WINDSHIELD SUPPORT AREA. STARTING TWO DAYS AGO, AFTER A RAINSTORM, THE CAR WILL REMAIN RUNNING WHEN THE KEY IS REMOVED, AND SOMETIMES THE KEY CANNOT BE REMOVED, WHETHER THE CAR IS RUNNING OR NOT. THE BATTERY ALSO DIES EVERY NIGHT, DESPITE BEING A NEW BATTERY AND REMAINING ON A CHARGER. ONLINE FORUMS STATE THE ISSUE HAS TO DO WITH WATER ACCESSING THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND FUSE AREA, ALLOWING ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TO REMAIN OPERATING THROUGH A CROSS-FIRE OR CARBON-TRACKING, USING THE MOISTURE TO COMPLETE THE CIRCUIT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR MANY REASONS, NOT ONLY A POTENTIAL FIRE RISK, OR RISK OF THE VEHICLE MOVING AFTER IT'S BEEN SHUT OFF, BUT ALSO POSSIBLE DEGRADATION OF AIRBAG SYSTEMS THROUGHOUT THE DASH AND WINDSHIELD AREA.
JUST PURCHASED MYSELF A USED SATURN OUTLOOK. HAPPENED TO STORM THE NIGHT I PURCHASED IT. MY CAR HAS A SUNROOF AND MOONROOF. THEY ARE BOTH LEAKING INTO MY CAR. THERE ARE CURRENTLY FIVE AIRBAG SENSORS THAT ARE NO LONGER WORKING AND IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE DAMAGE IS BEING CAUSED BY THE LEAKING WATER RUNNING ALONG THE SIDE PANELS AND DOWN UNDER THE SEATS AND INTO THE BATTERY AREA BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT. I'M SCARED THAT THIS IS WILL LEAD TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE EITHER AT THE BATTERY AREA (ITS ALREADY CORRODED THE CONNECTORS ON AT LEAST ONE BATTERY), MY FUSES, OR WORSE. SINCE MY DAUGHTER AND I BOTH HAVE ASTHMA, MOLD GROWTH IS A SERIOUS CONCERN. AND WORSE YET, FAILURE OF AIRBAGS CAUSING DEATH/SERIOUS INJURY TO MYSELF AND/OR MY CHILDREN AND PASSENGERS. TO SEE THAT GM KNOWS THERE'S A PROBLEM AND IS NOT DOING ANYTHING TO RECTIFY IT IS ABSURD. I'M GLAD THAT THEIR BOTTOM DOLLAR IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN US LIVING THROUGH AN ACCIDENT. I FEEL LIKE I'M STUCK PAYING FOR SOMETHING I CAN'T AFFORD WHICH ISN'T REMOTELY MY FAULT (ITS AN OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW) BECAUSE SURVIVING AN ACCIDENT, NOT DYING FROM AN ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION, AND BREATHING WHEN MOLD GROWS IS ACTUALLY A PRETTY IMPORTANT THING. I'M LEGITIMATELY SCARED THAT THE AIRBAG MALFUNCTIONING MIGHT ACTUALLY KILL SOMEONE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN OUTLOOK. WHEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS OPENED, THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF WATER IN THE AREA WHERE THE FLOOR MAT, ACCELERATOR PEDAL, AND BRAKE PEDAL WERE LOCATED. THE CONTACT USED A WET VAC AND DRAINED THE WATER OUT. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (MARTY'S GMC IN KINGSTON, MASSACHUSETTS) WHERE THE SUN ROOF DRAINAGE LINES AND RADIO WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MARTY'S GMC DEALER FOR WATER INTRUSION A TOTAL OF FOUR TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NEVER RESOLVED. DURING THE LAST FAILURE, THE BATTERY THAT WAS LOCATED UNDER THE REAR SEAT WAS BURIED UNDER FOUR INCHES OF WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
