AIR BAG INDICATOR COMES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. WHEN READ BY A READER DURING AN INSPECTION SYSTEM DID NOT POST A ERROR ABOUT AIR BAG ISSUE. AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT WAS ON AND INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON AND GOES OFF.
"TAKATA RECALL" - AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT INDICATOR ON INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP RANDOMLY. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR THE PAST YEAR. IT WILL STAY LIT FOR A DAY, BUT THE NEXT DAY IT WILL BE OUT. SOME DAYS IT WILL STAY LIT FOR 20 MINUTES OR SO THEN TURN OFF. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF MY VEHICLE IS IN GEAR, STATIONARY, MOVING, ETC. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON TO THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT COMING ON.
2007 SATURN VUE WILL NOT GOT INTO PARK. MAKES A THUMP NOISE WHEN PUT INTO REVERSE AND NO PROBLEMS GOING INTO DRIVE.
WHEN THE CAR STARTS THE STEERING LOCKS UP AND MAKES THE CAR DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. THE BRAKES ALSO GRIND AND THE TRANSMISSION MAKES NOISES. THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS MALFUNCTION AND LIGHTS AND SOUNDS FLICKER ON AND OFF. ALL OF THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN LOOKED INTO BY A MECHANIC AND THEY CANNOT FIND A SOLUTION AS TO WHY THE ELECTRIC MALFUNCTIONING AND STEERING IS LOCKING UP.
AIR BAG MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT FOR THE DRIVER IS ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVER IS IN THE SEAT, THE CAR IS ON, AND OPERATING. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO RHYME OR REASON TO WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS OR SO.
WHILE PASSING ANOTHER CAR ON US 17A WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, MY CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE EVEN WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO DECREASE THE SPEED CONTROL AND WHEN I TURNED THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF...DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL SLOWED THE CAR AT THE EXPENSE OF THE BRAKE PADS...I TURNED THE KEY SWITCH OFF.. PULLED OFF THE ROAD RESTARTED THE CAR AND THE ENGINE OVER REVVED AND I TURNED THE KEY OFF AGAIN, ATTEMPTED TO RESTART AGAIN WITH THE SAME RESULTS. STOMPED THE BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES AND THIS TIME THE RESULTS WERE NORMAL. EITHER THE CRUISE CONTROL OR ACCELERATOR PETAL OR CONTROL MODULE I SUSPECT WERE AT FAULT.....THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY BAD IF WE HAD BEEN IN A HIGH TRAFFIC CONDITION...
MY AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON FOR SEVERAL HOURS AT A TIME WHILE I AM DRIVING IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT TWO YEARS AGO, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED OFF AND ON. CURRENTLY, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CARL BLACK CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (770-514-7607, LOCATED AT 1110 ROBERTS BLVD, KENNESAW, GA 30144), BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND AND THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,407.
MY KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT OF IGNITION, HAD TO DRILL OUT IGNITION CYLINDER AND REPLACE HOUSING ALSO. HAD TO GET A MECHANIC TO KEY THE CYLINDER AND NOW THE LIGHTS, A/C, AND RADIO DO NOT WORK AFTER ENGINE STARTS UNTIL IT RUNS FOR ABOUT 8 MINUTES. THEN EVERYTHING WORKS, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON, THE ENGINE RUNS GOOD, UNTIL IT SITS PARKED OVERNIGHT AND HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR. STILL DOING THE SAME. HAD IT PARKED FOR ABOT TWO MONTHS AND JUST START IT AND RUN THE ENGINE TO PRESEVE THE BATTERY. USE OTHER VEHICLE INSTEAD.
MY STEERING IS HARD TO TURN WHEN I START MY CAR, THEN AFTER MESSING WITH THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTON THE STEERING WHEEL RELEASES. THE LIGHTS ON MY DASH START FLASHING IT GOES ON AND OFF. THE FUSES ARE FINE IT'S SOMETHING ELSE. THERE'S NO PLACE TO PUT POWER STEERING FLUID? HELP.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING WAS LOST MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER THE VEHICLE AS THERE WAS NO ELECTRONIC ASSISTED STEERING AT THAT POINT. IN ADDITION, THE DIGITAL COMPONENTS ON THE DASHBOARD (SPEEDOMETER, FUEL GAUGE, ETC.) LOST POWER. THE POWER STEERING WOULD GO OUT INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT VERY DANGEROUS TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE. *TR
BOTH THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATORS COMES OFF AND GOES CONTINUOUSLY. I WONDER WHY THERE WAS A NO RECALL AS SO MANY COMPLAINTS WERE PLACED ALREADY
WE WERE PASSING A TRUCK, THEN THE THROTTLE STUCK AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN , WE FINALLY GOT IT IN NEUTRAL AND PULLED OVER. THIS WAS VERY SCARY. AND NOW MY ELECTRICAL IS ALL MESSED UP. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. I DON"T HAVE THE MONEY TO GET IT REPAIRED. I NOW HAVE TO TAKE THE BUS OR BUM A RIDE. I PAID $6500 FOR THIS CAR.. ANY CHANCE I CAN GET HELP FROM GM. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR. IGNITION SWITCH ONGOING SAGA. HAD THE SWITCH REPLACED 3 TIMES - ALL AT MY COST ALL WITHIN ONE YEAR. HAD THE KEY HOUSING REPLACED A YEAR 1/2 AGO - KEY NOW HANGING UP AGAIN IN THE IGNITION. LAST NIGHT COULDN'T REMOVE THE KEY AT ALL AND WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO MOVE MY CAR. FORTUNATELY HAPPENED IN MY GARAGE AND NOT A PARKING LOT AT NIGHT WHERE I WOULDN'T BE SAFE. IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER ALL OF THE OTHER KNOWN IGNITION SWITCH RECALLS
AIR BAG LIGHT RANDOMLY ON AND OFF. REPAIR AT GM DEALER AND CONTINUED WITH SAME ISSUE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,772.
MY SON AND HIS FRIEND WERE INVOLVED IN A COLLISION THAT COMPLETELY TOTALED OUR 2007 SATURN VUE. NEITHER THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN THIS ACCIDENT WHERE THE VEHICLE ENDED UP UPSIDE DOWN IN A RAVINE AFTER HITTING A SIGN AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MILES PER HOUR. THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAD BEEN GOING ON AND OFF FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT I HAD NO IDEA THAT MEANT NEITHER OF THEM WAS OPERATIONAL. THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS INJURED BUT WHAT A HORRIBLE TURN OUT THIS COULD HAVE HAD. DEFINITELY A SAFETY HAZARD!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 SATURN VUE. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF SPORADICALLY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LINE FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE ROTORS, BRAKE PADS, CALIPERS, WHEEL HUB, AND BEARING TO FAIL WITHOUT WARNING. THE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY WIRING MELTED, WHICH CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DEALERS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ALL PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
LIGHT FOR AIRBAG COMES ON LIGHT AND SIGNAL FOR SEAT BELT COMES ON EVEN THOUGH SEAT BELT IS ENGAGED.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000....UPDATED 02/03/16 *BF THE CONSUMER HAS SINCE SOLD THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 02/09/16*JB
WHILE MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY I LOST ALL POWER. NO ENGINE, LIGHTS, ETC. ALMOST GOT RUN OVER. OPENED HOOD AND REPLACED THE 30 AMP IGNITION FUSE AND CAR STARTED. TOOK TO GM DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM AND ORIGINAL FUSE WAS NOT BLOWN EITHER. ALSO HARD TO TURN THE IGNITION KEY AT TIMES. IS THIS A RECALL? IF NOT IT SHOULD BE AS THIS WAS A SERIOUS MISHAP WHERE WE COULD HAVEBEEN KILLED! THE CAR HAS 54K MILES AND THIS WAS ON 12-21-2015 AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON 12-22-2015.

I CAN NOT START VEHICLE. I CAN'T PUT IN THE SWITCH TO START VEHICLE EVEN WHEN I TURN WHEEL.
IT THE IGNITION SWITCH. I JUST RECENTLY STARTED PURCHASING A 2007 SATURN VUE. FROM THE FIRST DAY I BOUGHT IT, I HAD TROUBLE TURNING THE IGNITION, THEN ABOUT 1 WEEK AGO, IT WOULDN'T TURN AT ALL. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER I AM PURCHASING THROUGH AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE IGNITION SWITCH...BRAND NEW. BUT NOW, THE SAME PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING. THIS PARTICULAR YEAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST BUT I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE. I NOTICED THAT MANY OTHER SAUTUN VUE'S FOR 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2009 ARE ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THE MALFUNCTIONING IGNITION SWITCH. WISH I HAD DONE MY HOMEWORK BEFORE I STARTED MAKING PAYMENTS.
TAMARA ( UNKNOWN TO CONSUMER ), I WROTE MANY TIMES ON THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM ANYONE. PASSENGER AIRBAG AND SEATBELT ALERT LIGHTS MALFUNCTION. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE VERY EARLY IN DISTRIBUTION OF THIS VEHICLE AS IT WAS ALREADY REPLACED ONCE WITHIN 2 YEARS OF LEAVING SATURN DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST 2006. I CAN ONLY SAY GOD HELP GM IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO A PASSENGER OF MINE DUE TO THIS ISSUE WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS MADE BY MYSELF AND OTHERS AND IT KEEPS ON GOING IGNORED.
ENGINE MAKES A LOT OF NOISE WHEN STARTING UP AND WHILE DRIVING,ALSO THE GAS GAGE DON'T REGISTER
THE IGNITION KEY CAN BE REMOVED WHEN THE IGNITION IS NOT IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND THE CAR WAS NOT IN PARK AND STARTED TO ROLL AWAY. THIS CAR 2007 SATURN VUE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS FOUND IN GM RECALL 14506 WHICH IS STATED AS ONLY FOR 2002-2004 SATURN VUE CARS. THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER FOR THIS RECALL IS 14V490. THE DEALERSHIP SAID MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS DEFECT BUT IT IS CLEARLY A MFG DEFECT. I WOULD LIKE THIS RESOLVED AT NO CHARGE.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE ON THE DASHBOARD AT ANY TIME WITH NO APPARENT CAUSE (INCREASE IN ACCELERATE, FAST BREAKING, ETC.) AND WILL STAY ON FOR HOURS/DAYS, THE LENGTH OF TIME THAT THE LIGHT IS ON VARIES WITH EACH TIME THE AIRBAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES. IT LIGHT TURNS ON ANYWHERE FROM 4-10 TIMES PER WEEK. SHOULDN'T BE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX AN APPARENT DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF MY VEHICLE.
UPON A COLD START, WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS ROLLED ABOUT TEN FEET, FORWARD OR REVERSE, WITH NO INPUT ON THE ACCELERATOR, THERE IS A WHIR FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AKIN TO A STEPPER MOTOR NOISE, AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN. IN REVERSE, APPLYING THE BRAKES STOPS THE CAR, AND THEN SELECTING DRIVE, THE VEHICLE RESPONDS TO THE ACCELERATOR CORRECTLY. THE SAME THING HAPPENS IN FORWARD, BUT IN MOST CASES THE ACCELERATOR IS ENGAGED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT SEEM TO OCCUR WHEN THE CAR IS WARMED UP AND BEING DRIVEN UNDER NORMAL USE. IN REVIEWING THE SHOP MANUALS, THERE IS AN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR, WHICH I ASSUME IS A STEPPER TYPE MOTOR, IN THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY. THIS IS CONTROLLED BY THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL(TAC) AND THE POWER CONTROL MODULE(PCM). I ASSUME THAT THE MOTOR IS FAILING, BUT HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED A REDUCED ENGINE POWER MODE OR ENGINE SHUTDOWN MODE EVENT. IF THIS PART IS FAILING IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE EMISSION WARRANTY OF 8 YEARS/80,000 MILES, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE CAR IS 9 YEARS OLD. I WILL APPROACH MY DEALER AND SATURN ABOUT POSSIBLE COVERAGE UNDER WARRANTY, BUT HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY WITH THEM IN THE PAST. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AS IT CAN CATCH A DRIVER UNAWARE AND CREATE A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT SCENARIO.
I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY KEY IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. IT COMES OUT OF THE IGNITION WHILE THE CAR IS IN PARK AND THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING & IT CAME OUT ONCE WHILE DRIVING. I CAN STILL REMOVE THE KEY IN MODES OTHER THAN DRIVE. MY KEY HAS ALSO GOTTEN STUCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH & I HAVE TO STRUGGLE WITH THE STEERING WHEEL, ETC TO FREE IT AND/OR TUG ON THE GEAR SHIFT IN ORDER TO GET THE KEY INTO THE PROPER POSITION TO REMOVE IT. ONE TIME I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER GET IT FREE. WELL, REGARDING THE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE, I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BEING RECALLED, ETC, AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON THIS, BUT FEEL THIS COULD BE SERIOUS AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT DO I DO NEXT, TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS?
CARS SHAKES AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50
I STARTED MY CAR AND THE DRIVE SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON NO BLINKING JUST ON. MY CAR HAD BEEN PARKED WHILE I WAS AT WORK. I WENT HOME FOR LUNCH I FIGURED IT WAS JUST A GLITCH WOULD GO OUT WENT BACK TO WORK PARKED IT AGAIN THEN WHEN I LEFT TO GO HOME IT WAS ON AGAIN. IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS I HAVE HAD MY KEYS GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND HAD TO WIGGLE THE STEERING WHEEL TO.GET THEM OUT. MY RADIO SCREEN WILL GO ALL CRAZY FUNNY NUMBERS AND I HAVE HAD WIND NOISE WITH BOTH OF MY FRONT DOORS SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE WORKED ON THE IGNITION SWITCH WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. NOW WITH THE AIRBAG I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THE CAR I PAID FOR AND TO LET MY CHILD RIDE IN IT AND IT'S MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION. IT LOOKS LIKE EVERY OTHER SATURN IS GETTING RECALLED BUT THIS ONE WE NEED HELP BEFORE WE GET HURT. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THESE PROBLEMS WHEN I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BUT NOW SADDLED WITH IT HOPING FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE SURE WE ARE SAFE LIKE OTHER CAR OWNERS.
WHILE DRIVING I NOTICED THE "AIR BAG READINESS" LIGHT COME ON. IT STAYED ON FOR ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES UNTIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND THE LIGHT ONLY STAYED ON FOR A SHORT TIME, THEN WENT OFF. LATER THAT DAY WHEN DRIVING THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND STAYED ON AGAIN UNTIL I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. IT DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES. I CHECKED THE OWNERS MANUAL AND IT SAID TO TAKE IT IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS TO BE RUN. IT ALSO SAID THAT THE AIR BAG COULD DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY, OR NOT DEPLOY AT ALL IF IN AN ACCIDENT. I MADE AND APPOINTMENT ON 07/24/2015 AND TOOK IT TO A DEALER. AFTER RUNNING THE COMPUTER CHECK ON IT, THE TECHNICIAN SAID THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND IT WAS NOT COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE PARTS WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED AND WOULD TAKE SEVERAL HOURS TO INSTALL. THE COST WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $1,200 OR MORE FOR PARTS AND LABOR. I HAD TO TAKE OFF WORK TWICE TO TAKE IN FOR SERVICE, AND LOST ABOUT 8 HOURS OF WORK TIME DUE TO THIS INCIDENT. ALSO, THE TURN SIGNAL HAD TO BE REPLACED; IT FAILED TO TURN OFF AFTER MAKING A TURN, MOSTLY TO THE LEFT, BUT SOMETIMES TURNING TO THE RIGHT ALSO. I WAS TOLD THAT NEITHER OF THESE SHOULD HAVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON MY CAR WITH THE MILEAGE IT HAS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATED THE CRUISE CONTROL AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE SPEED INCREASED TO 80 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO LIFT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH HER FOOT, WHICH CAUSED THE SPEED TO DECREASE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON ONE OTHER OCCASION. IGNITION KEY CAN BE FULLY REMOVED AS VEHICLE IS RUNNING AND ALSO WHILE SWITCH IS IN ACC. IGNITION SWITCH ALSO STICKS.
THERE IS A RECALL ON SIMILAR MODELS FOR THE SAME ISSUE, BUT NOT MINE. MY KEY COMES OUT OF THE IGNITION WHILE DRIVING AND CONTINUES TO RUN. THIS ALSO OCCURS WHILE IN PARK. THIS COULD CAUSE AIRBAGS TO NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT AS WELL AS IT HAS DRAINED MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS BECAUSE IF IT IS NOT FULLY DISENGAGED I CAN STILL REMOVE THE KEY IN ACC MODE AND DRIVE MODE. ALSO, I HAVE TO TUG ON THE GEAR SHIFT IN ORDER TO GET THE KEY INTO THE PROPER POSITION TO REMOVE IT PROPERLY. NOW'I CANNOT EVEN TURN MY KEY, AS THE IGNITION IS SEIZING. IT TAKES ME NO LESS THAN 10 MINUTES TO GET IT TO CLICK AND TURN ON. I WAS ADVISED MY MODEL IS NOT IN THE RECALL THOUGH THE SAME AND SAME MAKES ARE. I REALLY FEEL THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE. PLEASE ADVISE! THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS A RECALL, BUT WHEN I WENT TO MY APPOINTMENT, THEY ADVISED IT IS NOT PART OF THE CURRENT RECALL.

THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. I DROVE MY CAR FROM FRESNO TO YOSEMITE AND RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PARK GARAGE IT BROKE DOWN AND I MANAGED TO ROLL IT OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A STALL. I REQUESTED PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. THE PROFESSIONAL SAID IT APPEARED TO HIM TO BE A FAULTY ALTENATOR, A FAILED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AND A BATTERY PROBLEM, AS WELL AS A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. THEY DID NOT HAVE THE TOOLS TO EXAMINE THE PRODUCTS, SO INSTRUCTED ME TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER IN THE NEAREST LOCALE. THIS IS A SPECIFIC CAR DEALER IN FRESNO, CA.

FORTUNATELY LOCATED BEFORE LOADING SURFBOARD TO RACKS WHICH COULD HAVE FAILED WHILE TRAVELING ON ROAD. IT APPEARS THE RAILS WHICH RUN THE LENGTH OF THE ROOF IS WHERE THE RACKS FAIL. I BOUGHT THIS SUV IN FEB OF 2015. IT HAD 92.000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. I PAID $8K. IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE I BOUGHT IT. FIRST, THE STEERING WAS BAD. APPARENTLY IT'S A COMMON ISSUE FOR GM VEHICLES TO HAVE A RACK AND PINION ISSUE. IT NEEDED TO BE REGREASED, WHICH WAS AN EASY FIX, AND THE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T CHARGE ME. THE NEXT MONTH I MOVED FROM MN TO GA AND WHEN I GOT DOWN HERE (IT'S HOT) REALIZED THE AC DIDN'T WORK. I TOOK IT IN AND WAS TOLD THAT THE AC COMPRESSOR WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE TUNE OF $1200. I DECIDED TO BE SWEATY ALL SUMMER. BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THE SEIZED UP AC COMPRESSOR WAS THREATENING MY ENTIRE SERPENTINE BELT. SO I GOT THAT FIXED AT THE END OF THE SUMMER. JUST A WEEK AFTER THAT FIX, MY BRAKES WENT OUT. THE CAR JERKED AND SQUEAKED AND IT WAS GENERALLY SO BAD THAT I WAS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE CAR TO MOVE. THE GRINDING SOUND WAS SO LOUD IT WAS EMBARRASSING. I TOOK IT IN AND THE ROTORS AND CALIPERS AND ONE BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. $850. THE REMAINING PROBLEMS ARE: AIRBAG AND CRUISE CONTROL. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN BLINKING ON AND OFF FOR MONTHS, BUT RECENTLY IT DOESN'T EVER TURN OFF. I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT RIGHT NOW, BUT I WAS HOPING THERE WAS A RECALL. THE CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING THE DAY AFTER I GOT IT BACK FROM HAVING THE BREAKS FIXED. I'M AFRAID THIS CAR WAS A TOTAL LEMON.
