TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HEUBERGER SUBARU (1080 MOTOR CITY DR, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80905, (719) 475-1920) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, HE NOTICED THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER. THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A STONE CHIP. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT ABOUT THE WINDSHIELD PROGRAM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,300. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY OUTBACK HAD FUEL PUMP FAILURE AND STALLED ON HIGHWAY RAMP ON JULY 5, 2020 AFTER SUBARU DEALERSHIP REPLACED FUEL PUMP ON JULY 1, 2020 PER SAFETY RECALL WRD-20. ON JULY 1, 2020, I HAD MY 18,000 MILES SERVICE AND SAFETY RECALL WRD-20 (FUEL-PUMP) DONE AT SUBARU DEALERSHIP. PICKED UP THE CAR AND DROVE IT HOME. ON JULY 5, I DROVE FROM PLEASANT HILL TO SAN FRANCISCO AND THE CAR STALLED ON HIGHWAY 101 AT OFF RAMP. I CANNOT RESTART THE CAR AND THERE WAS HEAVY SMELL OF GASOLINE COMING INSIDE THE CAR. I CANNOT PUSH IT TO THE SIDE SINCE THE DRIVING WHEEL IS VERY HARD TO MOVE AND THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF THREE LANES HIGHWAY RAMP. I HAD TO WAIT FOR TOW TRUCK TO COME TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY AND IT WAS TOWED BACK TO MY HOME SINCE THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE SHOP IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY. AFTER THE TOW TRUCK DROPPED OFF MY CAR, I WAS TRYING TO START THE CAR AND FOUND OUT GASOLINE IS LEAKING/POURING FROM BOTTOM OF MY CAR AND STILL CANNOT START. I HAVE ATTACHED TWO PICTURES TO SHOW THE GASOLINE LEAKING/POURING CONDITION. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND I AM NOT THE ONLY CASE THAT FUEL PUMP FAILED AGAIN AFTER RECALL WRD-20 FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR DRIVERS.
THE CAR BATTERY DRAINS AND DIES FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON WHILE JUST PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY FOR A FEW DAYS. WHEN THE BATTERY DIES THE LIFTGATE GETS STUCK AND/OR THE RADIO/NAVIGATION SCREEN FREEZES (AT THE STARLINK LOGO). I HAVE BEEN USING THE CAR FOR SHORT TRIPS BUT HAVE BEEN USING IT MORE THAN THE OTHER VEHICLES IN OUR HOUSEHOLD BUT THE BATTERY OF THE OUTBACK STILL DIES. I HAVE TWO OTHER VEHICLES PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY AND NONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES NOW AND EACH TIME, I HAVE TO JUMP START THE OUTBACK. I WAS AT THE GROCERY STORE AND WHEN I WAS DONE SHOPPING THE CAR HAD A DIFFICULT TIME STARTING. THE LIFTGATE GOT STUCK AND I HAD TO ASSIST IT TO CLOSE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START WHILE THE LIFTGATE WAS OPEN. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE CAR, IT HAD THIS SLOW CRANKING SOUND LIKE IT WAS HAVING A HARD TIME TO START THEN AFTER WHAT SEEMED LIKE A FIVE TO TEN SECONDS THE CAR EVENTUALLY STARTED. THE DEAD BATTERY ISSUE HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES NOW STARTING IN APRIL 2020 WHEN I FIRST REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER. THE MOST RECENT DEAD BATTER WAS TODAY, 7/3/2020.
I PURCHASED MY OUTBACK IN APRIL OF 2019. WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, MY OUTBACK'S WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN JUNE OF 2019 AND MY LOCAL SUBARU DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD DURING THE SUMMER OF 2019. THEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY IN JULY OF 2019 THE WINDSHIELD OF MY 2019 OUTBACK CRACKED AGAIN. SUBARU OUTBACK'S REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELDS ARE NO BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL WINDSHIELDS. THEY ARE DEFECT AS WELL. MY 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK'S WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED TWICE IN AN 14-MONTH PERIOD.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED 3 INCHES. NO IMPACT FROM ROCK. HAVEN'T DRIVEN SINCE AND IT'S NOW CRACKED HALFWAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. DEFINITELY A DEFECT.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO REASON. NO CHIP OR DAMAGE. HAMPERS EYESIGHT SAFETY SYSTEM. NOT BEING COVERED BY SUBARU DESPITE MULTIPLE OTHER COMPLAINTS LISTED ON NHTSA AND LAWSUITS IN NEWS.
BRAND NEW 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK WINDSHIELD MAJOR CRACKING DAMAGE FROM SMALL STONE IMPACT OR JUST A BUMP IN THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING? UNREASONABLE AND NOT RIGHT AT ALL.
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, HEARD A POP AND WITNESSED A CRACK START AND PROGRESS BOTH VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY STARING AT THE BOTTOM CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD AND HAS CONTINUED TO EXTEND SEVERAL HOURS LATER.
IN SEPT OF 2019 I WAS DRIVING, HEARD A POPPING NOISE AND THEN WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR A FEW HOURS LATER SAW A 12 PLUS INCH CRACK FROM THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. BY THE NEXT MORNING IT WAS WELL OVER 24 PLUS INCHES. DEALER SAID SOMETHING MUST OF HIT IT. I CHALKED IT UP TO BAD LUCK AND PAID THE NEARLY $1,000 TO REPLACE AND RECALIBRATE IT. THIS PAST MONDAY MY SON WAS DRIVING THE CAR, NO DAMAGE IN THE WINDSHIELD WHEN HE LEFT. HE HEARD A SLIGHT POP AND WHEN HE RETURNED HOME A FEW HOURS LATER ALMOST 30 PLUS INCHES OF CRACKING. IT BEGAN AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. BOTH TIMES THIS HAPPENED WAS ON A HIGHWAY WITH NO OTHER CARS NEARBY. THE DEALER HAS EXAMINED THE GLASS AND TELLS ME THERE IS AN IMPACT THEY FOUND BY RUNNING A PEN DOWN THE CRACK. THE SUPPOSED IMPACT IS NO LARGER THAN THE TIP OF A PEN. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS GLASS. I DON'T BELIEVE THERE WAS AN IMPACT, BUT EVEN IF THERE WAS, SHOULD THE WINDSHIELD CRACK BEYOND REPAIR IMMEDIATELY. THIS CANNOT BE SAFE. I HAVE CALLED NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OPENED A CASE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER ENTERING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED. THE CRACK WAS LOCATED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND HAD EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 30 INCHES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT NO OBJECT HAD IMPACTED THE WINDSHIELD. LITHIA SUBARU OF FRESNO LOCATED AT 5200 NORTH BLACKSTONE AVE FRESNO, CA 93710 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
THE CAR BATTERY KEEPS DYING AFTER BEING PARKED FOR ONLY A FEW DAYS. THE 2019 OUTBACK HAS ONLY 10,000 MILES ON IT. WE'VE DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THAT NO INTERIOR LIGHTS OR OTHER ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT ARE LEFT ON WHEN PARKED, AND THAT NO DOORS ARE LEFT AJAR. WE'VE HAD TO JUMP START IT EACH TIME. THIS DEAD BATTERY PROBLEM IS APPARENTLY NOT UNCOMMON FOR 2016-2020 OUTBACKS AND THE CAUSE IS UNKNOWN. SUBARU HAS NO SOLUTION FOR IT OTHER THAN TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AS A TEMPORARY FIX. *TR
LIFTGATE OPENED SPONTANEOUSLY OVERNIGHT, CAUSING RAPID BATTERY DRAINING. BATTERY WAS DEAD THE NEXT MORNING. CAR WAS INSIDE LOCKED GARAGE. *TR
CAR WILL NOT RESTART AFTER BEING TURNED OFF. HAPPENS RANDOMLY. AFTER THE CAR SITS FOR A WHILE (HOUR OR MORE) THE CAR RESTARTS NORMALLY. IT ACTS LIKE A DEAD BATTERY, BUT ONLY SOMETIMES. THE TURN OFF PERIOD COULD BE AS BRIEF AS 2 MINUTES. I PURCHASED THE CAR AS A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED FROM A DEALERSHIP IN BOISE LARRY H MILLER SUBARU AND ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 4 DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. IT'S NOW AT THE DEALER. CAR HAS 12,000 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. *TR
THE VEHICLE RAN ROUGH AND THEN LOST POWER WHILE EXITING I-55 IN THE CHICAGO AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS STALLED ON THE SIDE OF THE EXIT RAMP, BUT I WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT AND EXIT THE INTERSTATE. IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS RELATED TO THE ONGOING FUEL PUMP RECALL. *TR
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. HAS HAPPEN TWICE. BOTH TIMES VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN A GARAGE. WINDSHIELD WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION. NOT THE RESULT OF A IMPACT.
AS I WAS REVERSING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY RIDING THE BRAKE THE CAR ACCELERATED FULL THROTTLE AND WOULDN'T STOP. THE RESULT WAS I HIT A TREE. I AM THANKFUL IT WAS NOT A PEDESTRIAN OR ANOTHER PERSON. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,500.
I PURCHASED A NEW 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK IN AUGUST 2019. A LARGE CRACK DEVELOPED IN THE WINDSHIELD IN JUNE 2020. I REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD. 10 DAYS LATER ANOTHER LARGE CRACK DEVELOPED ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. THIS WAS REPLACED ON 7/2/2020. I HAVE SPENT ABOUT $1000 SO FAR ON WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENTS FOR A CAR THAT IS UNDER ONE YEAR OLD. *TR
I bought this certified car in Feb 2020 from authorized Subaru dealer in NJ. After few months in 2020, while driving on highway, I got crack on my windshield. I replaced it at same authorize dealer from where I bought that car. After few months around early 2021, my windshield again got crack. I replaced it again at same location. I have my 3rd windshield right now which is also got crack few months back. I owned my car since 3 years and I already have my 3rd windshield which I need to replace again with 4th windshield. Every windshield costs me around $1000 with going back and forth to dealership service center.
1. System failed. We purchased this car on 6/2/20, with a mileage of 6,174 miles. We are retired and don't drive much; for shorter distances we mostly rode our bicycles. In our recent living environment we can park cars outside in spaces, and in a large underground parking garage. While we did not drive much, I still needed to work on bicycles using tools stored in the rear trunk compartment, with the trunk lid in open position. What I did not know was that even the mere open car trunk was run electrically, though the large electronic dashboard gave a clue of a rather massive reliance on functions run electronically; after a mere 2-3 days of not driving we were made rudely aware that keeping the trunk lid open for any amount of time was a recipe for not being able to use the car when most needed; I should add here that the many Subaru drivers in our complex did not seem to have that problem as they are all "professional" drivers. We called our designated towing service and had to wait for over 3 hours for a rep to show up. Not having bought a car in years we were amazed how quickly the tow driver pulled out an electronic gadget and started the car. It immediately bought one like that, an electronic jump starter. SAFETY. Had my wife had to find transportation to an urgent appointment it would have become a safety problem. PROBLEM CONFIRMATION. No, it has not, except by me, as any greater than fleeting use of electricity in this car is a recipe for disaster. COMPONENT INSPECTED. Yes. After 2 more battery outages I took the car to the dealer and explained the problem (which had little impact on the employee). I had the battery checked, it was fine and working as designed. On 9/25/21, after another battery outage I took the car to the dealer again; again everything was operating as designed. SYMPTOMS OF THE PROBLEM. No. ASSESSMENT. I concluded I needed to keep the car RUNNING when using any function more than 5 minutes. This car is a computer on wheels.
WINDSHIELD ON OUR 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. *TR
FRONT WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY. NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND CAR, NO BUGS HIT WINDSHIELD, NOTHING HIT FRONT OF WINDSHIELD. AUDIBLE LOUD "POP" THEN VISIBLE CRACK THAT STARTED FROM DRIVER'S SIDE EDGE OF VEHICLE EXTENDING HORIZONTALLY INTO DRIVER'S LINE OF VISION. DRIVER WAS STARTLED AND DRIVER'S VISION IMPAIRED FROM CRACK. VEHICLE DRIVEN LESS THAN 10 TIMES, PURCHASED ON 5/16/2020, STORED IN GARAGE AND COVERED PARKING STRUCTURE. *TR
I CAME HOME FROM WORK, WENT THROUGH THE CAR WASH, AND THE NEXT MORNING I HAD A CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. NOTHING MADE CONTACT WITH THE WINDSHIELD EITHER ON THE DRIVE, OR AT THE CAR WASH.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT IMPACT. THE CONTACT STATED SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE TO HER RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED A GLASS REPAIR TECHNICIAN INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AT HER RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT INFORMED SELLERS SUBARU LOCATED AT 23651 HALL RD, MACOMB, MI 48042, (586)276-7706, OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 22,000.
I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE MY 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK SINCE JUNE OF 2020. I RECEIVED AN OFFICIAL SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL FROM SUBARU. THE NOTICE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS AT RISK FOR A CRASH IF NOT REPAIRED. SEVERAL WEEKS AGO I CONTACTED SUBARU OF EL PASO WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, AS INSTRUCTED IN THE RECALL NOTICE, TO SCHEDULE AND COMPLETE THE SAFETY REPAIR. I WAS INFORMED AT THAT TIME THAT THE REQUIRED PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE SUBARU AGENT WAS UNABLE TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. I HAVE RECEIVED NO FOLLOW-UP FROM SUBARU SINCE THAT TIME. THE REPAIR HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUSTIN SUBARU (8100 BURNET RD, AUSTIN, TX 78757, (512) 220-0930) TO BE DIAGNOSED. HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, A ROCK STRUCK AND CRACKED THE NEW WINDSHIELD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
I have owned this Subaru since September of 2019 and within the first year of buying it, while on a roadtrip with 3 other passengers who saw it happen, the windshield just split in the lower left side. there were no cars around to kick up rocks or debris so it seemed very odd. over time it spread and we inevitably had to replace it because the crack had gone across the entirety of the windshield. only a few months after replacing the windshield it split once again in the same spot in the lower left with no explanation as to why. the place where it split initially has no rock chips to explain the crack. after this I looked it up online and found out that many others have had similar experiences, so I decided to not even replace my windshield but to instead live with the crack that has once again spread clear across the car because I do not have the money to keep replacing $1000 glass every 3 months or so. The Subaru is an otherwise good car, but this problem is a bit ridiculous.
Driver side seat is sounding like a weak and used bed. I have read on multiple Subaru sites that this has been happening since 2018 on various Subaru vehicles. It's apparently a weld that is weak. This makes it a safety hazard. Due to the fact that Subaru has known about this issue for a year and stilled installed these seats on a 2019 vehicle demonstrates that Subaru has poor quality checks. I asked for a replacement but was quoted over 2k for the replacement. This is just wrong and Subaru needs to replace these seats. If a weld is weak, think what will happen during an accident with that seat.
SECOND SPONTANEOUS CRACK IN 18 MONTHS.
LARGE WINDSHIELD CRACK APPEARED SPONTANEOUSLY WHILE CAR WAS PARKED AND GREW LARGER WHEN CAR WAS PARKED. SUBARU DEALER INSISTED IT WAS FROM AN IMPACT, BUT NONE WERE VISIBLE. DEALER SAID NEW WINDSHIELDS WERE THINNER AND MORE PRONE TO CRACKING AND I MIGHT HAVE IT HAPPEN ON A REGULAR BASIS. *TR
MY 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK'S WINDSHIELD CRACK WITH NO REASON, I PARKED THE VEHICLE MY DRIVEWAY ABOUT 3 PM WITH NO DAMAGE AND WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK NEXT DAY AT 5 AM I REALIZE THE CRACK. THE CRACK STARTED FROM THE LOWER PORTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IT GREW DAY BY DAY ALMOST REACHED ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER END. I CONTACTED SUBARU CUSTOMER CARE VIA EMAIL ON 5/21/2020 BUT STILL GOT NO RESPONSE. I ALSO TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER IN TEMECULA/CA I ALMOST KICK OUT FROM THERE, AS SOON AS THEY SEE THE CRACK THEY DIDN'T WANT TO HELP OR GIVE ME INFORMATION. ALL I WONDER IS, IT IS BEEN COVERED BY WARRANTY OR HOW SHOULD I HANDLE TO REPAIR BECAUSE OF EYESIGHT. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 12K MILES ON IT AND STILL UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
IN JANUARY, 2020, MY 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK FAILED TO START BECAUSE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. IT DID START WITH A JUMP BUT HAD A DEAD BATTERY THE NEXT TIME I WANTED TO USE IT. I HAD THE OUTBACK TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER OVER 100 MILES AWAY. THEY OFFERED NO HELP, TELLING ME THE PROBLEM WAS BATTERY DRAINAGE FROM THE REMOTE STARTER I HAD INSTALLED. SO, I DROVE HOME AND THEN ANOTHER 100 MILES IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO HAVE THE STARTER CHECKED. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THE REMOTE STARTER WAS WITHIN ACCEPTABLE RANGE.I MANAGED TO GET THROUGH THE WINTER WITH A BATTERY MAINTAINER. THE OUTBACK WAS FINE ONCE THE WEATHER WARMED UP THIS SPRING. THEN IN MAY, 2020, I AGAIN HAD PROBLEMS. THE HATCH DID NOT OPEN, MADE CLICKING NOISES, AND BEEPED WHEN I WOULD DRIVE THE OUTBACK. THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED. I WENT OUT TO MY CAR ON MAY 16 AND ON THE FRONT WINDSHIELD THERE WAS A "Y" SHAPED CRACK GOING UP FROM THE BOTTOM MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. WHEN I WENT BACK OUTSIDE ON MAY 18, THE CRACK HAD SPREAD ABOUT 4 INCHES TOWARD EACH SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. ON MAY 21, THE CRACK HAD SPREAD MORE AND IS CURVING AROUND. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN ALL OF THIS HAPPENED. *TR

HE TOLD THAT BATTERY SHOULD NOT GO BAD THIS FAST, THAT SOMETHING IS DRAINING IT AND I SHOULD SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT WITH DEALERSHIP ASAP TO FIX THE ONGOING PROBLEM TO AVOID FUTURE HARDSHIP. HAD MY FIRST OIL CHANGE AT 5,000 MILES AND AT 9,600 MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON. WENT HOME AND PUT 1 QUART OF OIL IN VEHICLE AND WAS STILL DOWN LOW. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY CHANGED OIL AND NOTED I HAD STILL BEEN LOW 1/2 QUART. FILED CASE WITH SUBURU OF AMERICA. NOWIN PROCESS OF OIL CONSUMPTION TEST, BUT, SAW THAT DEALERSHIP OVERFILLED MY OIL SO I HAD THEM DRAIN IT DOWN TO PROPER LEVEL AND HAVE TO START CALCULATION MILEAGE AGAIN FOR TEST. NEXT PROBLEM. PASSENGER FRONT DOOR, FROZE IN WINTER. WATER INSIDE CAR ON FLOOR. WATER TEST DONE AT DEALERSHIP AFTER MAJOR STORM, AND CAR FLOODED INSIDE. DEALER REPLACED GASKET AROUND THE DOOR. OIL ISSUE WAS WHILE DRIVING. WATER ISSUE WAS WHILE STATIONARY. *TR
WINDSHIELD BROKE WHILE PARKED. RESULTING IN A $1000 COST TO REPLACE AND RECALIBRATE SAFETY CAMERAS. CAR WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN MY GARAGE. CAR NEVER STRUCK BY STONES OR OTHER DEBRIS. WINDSHIELD WAS LESS THAN 12 MONTHS OLD. CRACK STARTED FROM THE OUTSIDE MOLDING ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD.

THE SECOND TIME THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,500.
MY VEHICLE HAS UNDER 3000 MILES AND HAS HAD A FREQUENT PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY DYING. THE BATTERY HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED TWICE; ONCE WITH AN INTERSTATE BATTERY FROM COSTCO AND ONCE WITH AN ODYSSEY BATTERY FROM BATTERYMART.COM. I CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITHT HE BATTERY DYING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BROUGHT INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION AND NOTHING COULD BE FOUND WRONG.
I WAS RETURNING TO DRIVE MY CAR AFTER SITTING STATIONARY IN AN APARTMENT PARKING SPOT FOR TWO DAYS. SUBARU HAS CLAIMED "OUTSIDE INFLUENCE" CAUSED THE REPLACEMENT TO CRACK AND HAS DECLINE TO REPLACE AGAIN UNDER WARRANTY. BOTH TIMES THE CRACKING HAPPENED DURING A SNOWFALL WHILE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. *TR
MY CAR SAT AT HOME FOR 2 DAYS. I THEN DROVE 5 MILES AND PARKED FOR 2 HOURS IN A RESTAURANT PARKING LOT. AFTER 2 HOURS OF SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THE BATTERY HAD DRAINED AND I HAD TO CALL A FAMILY MEMBER TO JUMPER CABLE THE CAR TO GET IT STARTED. I WAS SO DISTRESSED THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED AT MY EXPENSE. I THEN READ ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THIS SAME PROBLEM. I AM REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING ANYWHERE AND HAVING THIS HAPPEN AGAIN. THE CAR HAS 32,000 MILES ON IT.

Unknown, but seems like steering is affected. When turning the vehicle over and bump there is a clanking that you can hear and feel coming from under the bottom of the vehicle. It was present about 3 months after purchase of the car new, and has progressively gotten worse. The steering wheel feels loose for the moment it clanks. It has been reproduced by two dealers. The first was unable to provide a solution, stating it is a “manufacturing defect” of that model. The second replaced a spring in the steering box, but this did not fix the problem. It has been inspected by Subaru dealers. There are no warning lights on.
WE STARTED HAVING BATTERY ISSUES IN APRIL 2020. I USE THE OUTBACK FOR WORK MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, AND I BEGAN TO NOTICE A WEAK BATTERY AFTER THE WEEKEND. I LET IT SIT FOR THREE DAYS, AND WHEN I TRIED TO START IT, IT WAS DEAD. I PUT A CHARGER ON THE BATTERY, STARTED RIGHT UP THE NEXT DAY. I TOOK IT TO WORK AND LATER THAT DAY, ATE LUNCH IN THE CAR. AFTER LISTENING TO THE RADIO FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES, I STARTED THE CAR TO RUN THE AC. IT HAD TROUBLE STARTING, BUT I MANAGED TO START IT AND LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. IT WAS STILL A LITTLE SLUGGISH STARTING AFTER WORK, SO I LEFT IT HOME AND TOOK A DIFFERENT CAR THE NEXT DAY. AFTER TAKING A DIFFERENT VEHICLE TO WORK, I TRIED TO START IT AGAIN, AND AGAIN IT WAS DEAD. SUBARU ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WOULD ONLY PAY FOR A TOW FOR A CERTAIN NUMBER OF MILES TO THE DEALERSHIP; IT WOULD HAVE COST ME OVER $100 TO TOW IT BACK TO THE DEALER. I PUT A NEW BATTERY ON IT IN MAY, AND SO FAR HAVE NOT HAD ANYMORE ISSUES WITH IT STARTING.
Bought car November 2019. New battery April 2020. Losing charge February 2021 got another battery. Reliable Subaru, Springfield, MO recommended trickle charge every night. Car losing charge June 2021. Reliable Subaru put in new battery. Again recommended trickle charge every night. August 2021 car dead and would not start. Reliable Subaru towed in and put in another new battery. December 2021 car was not started in four days and was dead, had to be jumped. 1/17/22 within four hours of drop off, Auto Nation West, Golden, CO determines the DCM unit which is connected to the Starlink system was,in fact, a parasitic drain. It is drawing more than it should. Fixed 1/20/2022 2/1/22 parked car n garage at 8:33 pm. Returned to vehicle at approximately 7:30 pm on 2/4/22. The key fob produced no response from the car. The car was dead— no lights, nothing. Called roadside assistance. The car was jumped the following morning.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET, NOT FREEWAY. VERY CLEAN ROAD AND MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT ME NOTICING IT HAPPEN OR HEARING ANY OBJECT TOUCH MY WINDSHIELD. I HAD MUSIC VERY LOW, YET EHARD NO ROCK. WAS GOING ABOUT 35 MILES.
