BRAND NEW 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK EXPERIENCES REPEATED PARASITIC BATTERY DRAIN LEAVING MY STRANDED WHILE TRAVELING. SUBARU ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE STATES THAT THERE IS MOST LIKELY AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE REAR HATCH BUT SUBARU REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED 5 TIMES INCLUDING ONCE IN A REMOTE PART OF CANADA.
Battery has failed twice, original battery was replaced, then the 1st replaced battery has died. A new battery and the software update needed asap.
BATTERY FAILURE X 4, ON 3/26/20, 4/3/20, 5/7/20 AND 6/7/20NOW ON OUR THIRD BATTERY. HAD TO CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO HAVE CAR JUMP STARTED ON 2 OCCASIONS AND THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER THIRD TIME. SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY.
18" LONG WINDSHIELD CRACK APPEARED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ABOUT 6" FROM THE BOTTOM. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT MAY HAVE CRACKED WHEN OR IF PEBBLE HIT IT. A LOT OF BUGS DIED ON MY WINDSHIELD THAT MORNING TOO SO I HAD TO USE MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHER FLUID. I DID NOT NOTICE A CRACK BECAUSE IT WAS WAY TOO DARK IN THE MORNING TO SEE ANYTHING. I NOTICED THE CRACK AT 1PM IN THE PARKING LOT AT WORK GETTING READY TO GO HOME.
WENT TO GO START MY VEHICLE THAT IS PARKED OUTSIDE IN OUR PARKING LOT COMPLEX, AND IT WAS ABOUT 15 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND THEIR WAS FROST ON THE WHOLE FRONT WINDSHIELD. I OPENED THE DRIVER DOOR TO START THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS FROST ON THE BOTTOM HALF INSIDE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AS WELL. ALL OTHER WINDOWS AND DOORS HAD BEEN CLOSED. I STARTED THE VEHICLE UP TO BEGIN DEFROSTING THE WINDSHIELD AND SCRAPED THE OUTSIDE FRONT WINDSHIELD. UPON COMPLETING THIS, THE FROST ON THE INSIDE WAS STILL THERE BUT SLOWLY MELTING AWAY FROM THE HEATER. WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 20 DAYS AND IT HAD 6,350 MILES WHEN PURCHASED. CURRENTLY HAS 6,940 MILES WHEN THIS DEFECT HAPPENED.
WHILE PARKED OVER NIGHT IN MY SUBURBAN BOSTON DRIVEWAY THE WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A FOOT LONG CRACK UP THE MIDDLE FROM THE BOTTOM EDGE
My 2019 Subaru Outback has electrical battery and key fob issues. Generally I drive this vehicle daily and the car battery is alright. We go to visit our children and I park in a airport parking lot for about a week and when we return the battery is either dead or indicates needs charge. The key fob does not operate and have to resort to actual key. Vehicle indicates key fob battery needs replacement. Went to dealer and key fob batteries replaced under warranty. Just a few months later key fob not working and got message to replace batteries. Have Subaru Starlink and would not open vehicle doors. I am 77 years old and find this to be difficult to manage. Have replaced key fob batteries multiple times. Vehicle battery not holding charge if vehicle not driven for a week or more to say the least is frustrating. These problems having been occurring from the time we purchased this vehicle.
PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW STOPPED WORKING AND THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED FOR NO REASON AND I HAD TO REPLACE IT.

THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT A CRACK HAD FORMED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK INITIALLY STARTED AS A VERTICAL CRACK ALONG THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD AND OVER TIME SPREAD HORIZONTALLY ACROSS THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GROOVE SUBARU (5300 S BROADWAY, ENGLEWOOD, CO 80113) WHERE SHE WAS REFERRED TO A WINDSHIELD REPAIR SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN PROGRESS DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
I BOUGHT A CERTIFIED SUBARU OUTBACK 2019 IN FEBRUARY 2020 WITH 4500 ODOMETERS READING. WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY ON MARCH 15, 2020, A TINY STONE HIT ON MY WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD. I REPLACED IT ON JUNE 17, 2020 WHICH COST ME $960.
FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED OVERNIGHT WHILE MY 2019 SUBARU WAS SITTING IN DRIVEWAY. CRACK IS AT LEAST ABOUT 18" LONG. IT MAY HAVE STARTED FROM A ROCK/PEBBLE HITTING WINDSHIELD WHILE ON THE ROAD, BUT I DIDN'T HEAR ANY ROCKS OR PEBBLES HIT THAT SIDE OF WINDSHIELD WHILE COMMUTING AND CRACK WAS NOT PRESENT PRIOR TO PARKING MY CAR FOR THE NIGHT. TEMPERATURE DIDN'T FLUCTUATE SIGNIFICANTLY ENOUGH OVERNIGHT.
The contact owns a 2019 Subaru Outback. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, she heard an abnormal noise and noticed a crack on the front passenger’s side bottom corner of the windshield. The contact stated that no object had struck the windshield to cause the crack. The vehicle was taken to a glass repair shop where the windshield was replaced. The contact stated that the failure occurred on the passenger’s side and then on the driver's side. The windshield had been replaced three times. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000. The VIN was not available.
CAME OUT OF WORK TO FIND A LARGE CRACK IN MY WINDSHIELD THAT WASN'T THERE WHEN I GOT TO WORK. NOW HAVE TO HAVE WINDSHIELD REPLACE AND EYESIGHT CAMERAS RECALIBRATED.
JUST PUT IN A COMPLAINT ON 3/6/20 FOR A WINDSHIELD PROBLEM ON OUR 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. WHILE DRIVING TODAY, FOUR CHIPS APPEARED ON WINDSHIELD AFTER DRIVING PAST WORK BEING DONE ON THE ROAD. DIDN'T EVEN HEAR OR SEE ANYTHING TOUCH THE WINDSHIELD. GOING BACK TO SAFELITE WHERE A NEW WINDSHIELD WAS INSTALLED LAST MONTH. THIS IS NOT A SAFELITE ISSUE, BUT A DEFECT IN SUBARU GLASS FOR THE OUTBACK. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 38 YEARS AND ONLY DROVE GM CARS BEFORE THIS AND ONLY HAD 1 WINDSHIELD REPLACED AFTER AN ACCIDENT NEVER BECAUSE OF A PEBBLE HITTING IT THERE ARE ARTICLES ABOUT THE DEFECTIVE GLASS ONLINE AND LAWSUITS, BUT SUBARU DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. MAYBE IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER LAWSUIT OR GET RID OF THE CAR NOW. CAN'T AFFORD A NEW WINDSHIELD EVERY MONTH.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HEARD A CRACK, THEN SAW A LARGE CRACK ON MY WINDSHIELD! AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED, THE CRACK CONTINUED TO SPREAD.
2 CRACKS IN THE FRONT WINDSHEILD APPEARED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. DID NOT NOTICE ANY CHIPS BEFORE THE CRACKS STARTED. THE CAR ONLY HAS 10000 MILES ON IT AND THERE ARE 2 SEPARATE CRACKS. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE WHEN THE CRACKS APPEARED.

EUCLID ST, FULLERTON, CA 92832, (714) 909-2363) AND THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD THE CONTACT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ON HER OWN. THE SECOND TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE DEALER REPAIRED THE WINDSHIELD. THE ISSUE HAS OCCURRED FOR THE THIRD TIME WITH THE WINDSHIELD GLASS BEING A SPECIAL GLASS CALLED EYESIGHT GLASS WITH SENSORS IN THE ACTUAL GLASS. THE REPAIRS HAD TO BE PERFORMED AT THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
THE WINDSHIELD BROKE WITHOUT HAVING ANYTHING EVER HIT IT. CAME OUT TO CAR ONE MORNING AND THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK ACROSS WINDSHIELD STARTING FROM THE BASE CENTER OF THE WINDOW. AT THIS POINT I HAD OWNED THE CAR LESS THEN 6 MONTHS. *TR

OPEN ROAD SUBARU (2685 US-22, UNION, NJ 07083, (908) 686-6160) WAS CONTACTED AND WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000. VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS WOULD APPEAR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WITH THE EYESIGHT TECHNOLOGY FEATURE FAILING TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO YARK SUBARU (6141 CENTRAL AVE, TOLEDO, OH 43615) ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS HOWEVER, EACH TIME THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE AND WAS PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000.
Windshield durability is questioned. We have had a large crack form near the rearview mirror stem within 3 months of our purchase we have had more than a half dozen other crips and cracks occur during the past 18 months. My impression is the glass used in this vehicle, is not as durable as other windshields from other vehicle manufacturers. I understand other Subaru owners are reporting similar issues. The cost to replace the windshield is plus or minus $1,000. Please look into this matter.
PROBLEM: KEYLESS PUSHBUTTON START. WOULD NOT START CAR ON VACATION. VEHICLE MANUAL VERY CONFUSING. AFTER SEVERAL NERVE RACKING MINUTES (1/2 TO 45 MINUTES OF TRYING). NO OTHER WAY KNOWN TO START CAR. THIS WAS NOT A BATTERY ISSUE! VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AFTER FUELING UP AT GAS STATION.

THE CRACK STARTED AT THE BOTTOM SECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD UNDER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER AND EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 30 INCHES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT GLASS REPAIR SHOP AND WAS REPAIRED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER REEDMAN TOLL SUBARU LOCATED AT (1700 EAST LINCOLN HWY, LANGHORNE PA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
SMALL CHIP IN WINDSHIELD ON HIGHWAY TURNED INTO LARGE CRACK REQUIRING WHOLE WINDSHIELD TO BE REPLACED AND VISION SYSTEM RECALIBRATED.
FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN A YEAR THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND RAN ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. UNKNOWN WHAT CAUSED THE CRACK AS WE DIDN'T NOTICE ROAD DEBRIS HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. THE 1ST TIME THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED TOP PASSENGER SIDE AND THE CAR WAS MOVING ALONG THE HWY AND WE NOTICED A RUN FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT RAN ACROSS THE PASSENGER SIDE. CAR HAD 4000 MILES. WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED. THE SECOND TIME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY WHEN WE NOTICED A CRACK AT THE TOP MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT STARTED TO RUN ACROSS THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE CAR IS GARAGE KEPT. AN ASIDE WE HAD A SUBARU TRIBECA 2007 FOR 12 YEARS AND +200K MILES WITH ONLY 1 CRACK WINDSHIELD THAT NEVER RAN.
WHILE SITTING STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY, I HEARD A POP NOISE AND LOOKED UP AND SAW A SPONTANEOUS CRACK ON MY WINDSHIELD. IT BEGAN AT THE BLACK PORTION OF THE WINDSHIELD, DRIVER SIDE, LOWER HALF. IT TRAVELED ABOUT 5-7 INCHES WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR.
WINDSHIELD CRACK MIDLINE LOWER BLACK BAND STRETCHING ~9 INCHES BOTTOM UP NOTICED 2/23/20. THIS IS THE SECOND OEM WINDSHIELD AND WAS INSTALLED 12/19/19. FIRST WINDSHIELD WAS FACTORY INSTALLED AND HAD A ROCK CHIP THAT SPREAD OVER ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD. SUBARU HAS A WINDSHIELD PROBLEM.
DRIVING ON CITY STREETS - CAR STEERING WHEEL PULLS TO RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING - FEELING OF LOSING CONTROL OF CAR BY DRIVER - ALSO PULLS TO THE LEFT WHEN CHANGING LANES TO THE LEFT -- SPEED 40 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR - FEELS LIKE STEERING WHEEL IS "LOOSE" OR HAS COME LOOSE. COMPLAINED TO DEALER YESTERDAY - THEY SAID IT IS A SUSPENSION PROBLEM AND TO BRING IT BACK - HAVE AN APPOINTMENT MONDAY MORNING AT 8 AM TO HAVE IT FIXED.

BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 17,600 MILES. WOULD NOT HOLD CHARGE AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO JUMP START. TOWED TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD 'THEY SEE THIS SOMETIMES.. MUST BE DUE TO VEHICLES SITTING AROUND PRIOR TO BEING SOLD'.
MY WIFE AND I DRIVING HOME EASTBOUND HIGHWAY 50 AND NOTICED SMALL CRACK IN WINDSHIELD GLASS UNDER WINDSHIELD WIPER. NEVER HEARD OR SAW ANYTHING HIT WINDSHIELD AND THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES IN FRONT OR BEHIND US. I HAVE OWNED MANY VEHICLES AND THE WINDSHIELD USUALLY WILL GET A SMALL DING WHEN HIT HARD BY ROCK OR PEBBLE BUT WILL NOT CRACK. THIS CRACK STARTED AT BOTTOM ON WINDSHIELD UNDERNEATH THE WIPER.

2019 SUBARU OUTBACK PURCHASED DECEMBER 2018, SAND STRIKE CHIPPED AND CRACKED THE WINDSHIELD WITHIN ONE MONTH. THIS MORNING AS WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WITH NO OTHER TRAFFIC MY WIFE NOTICED A CRACK FORMING AND GROWING UP FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE. THE CRACK IS NOW 17" LONG
I PURCHASED MY 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK ON NOVEMBER 23, 2019. ON FEBRUARY 15, 2020 ON A COLD WINTER MORNING I WAS DRIVIING TO WORK AND TURNED ON THE DEFROST TO HIGH AND THE WINDSHIELD JUST CRACKED. CURRENTLY, THE CRACK HAS TRAVELED FROM END TO END ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE COST TO REPLACE IT IS AROUND $ 800. I FEEL THAT SUBARU NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THIS ISSUE IS OCCURRING WAY TOO OFTEN. IT SEEMS THAT THE WINDSHIELDS ARE TOO THIN. MY VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE EYESIGHT SYSTEM.

NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000.
STEERING SYSTEM/CAR FEELS UNSTABLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ESPECIALLY WHEN WINDY. CENTER DISPLAY CONTROL BUTTONS DON'T ALWAYS FUNCTION. WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED WITHOUT ROAD HAZARD INCIDENTS
I PURCHASED A 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK FOUR MONTHS AGO AND AM NOW ON MY THIRD WINDSHIELD. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 35 YEARS AND AT BEST HAD A SMALL CHIP ON MY WINDSHIELD. 4 MONTHS 3RD WINDSHIELD. NOT A CHIP BUT TOTALLY SHATTERED. WITH THE EYESIGHT TECHNOLOGY IN THE CAR IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. THE FIRST WINDSHIELD WAS HIT BY SOMETHING THAT GRAZED OFF THE WINDSHIELD. THE SECOND I CAME OUT IN THE MORNING AND THE WINDSHIELD HAD A TWO FOOT LONG SPIT DOWN THE CENTER OF IT.
I WAS DRIVING INTO WORK ON A SMOOTH ROAD IN CLEAR CONDITIONS WHEN I HEARD A POP. WINDSHIELD HAD A LARGE STAR BUST AND CRACK SPREADING FROM THE CENTER. NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD. THERE WEREN'T ANY EXTREME TEMPS (IT WAS ABOUT 60 DEGREES OUT) AND I DIDN'T HAVE THE HEAT OR AC ON.
MY WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED STARTING UNDER THE WIPER BLADE, AT THE LOWER CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD, AND CRACKED UPWARDS ABOUT 5 INCHES, AND SPILT IN TWO DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. ONE LENGTH ABOUT 9 INCHES AND THE OTHER SIDE ABOUT 12 INCHES, AND THE CRACKS SEEM TO BE EXTENDING. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. AS I SEE IT, AROUND THE CRACK THERE ARE NO CRACKS, DINGS, CHIPS, OR ANY MARKS. THE LOOK OF THE CRACK DOESN'T RESEMBLE DIFFERENT SHATTER. MY CAR IS A 2019 VEHICLE THAT ONLY HAS ABOUT 10,000 MILES SO QUITE NEW.
I BOUGHT MY OUTBACK NEW AT THE END OF AUGUST 2019 AND SINCE THEN THE WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED 3 TIMES AND I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IT ALL 3 TIMES. I WAS DRIVING ALL 3 TIMES. TWICE I BELIEVE A PEBBLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD BUT THE THIRD TIME NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD. LUCKILY WHEN I BOUT IT THE SALESMAN SUGGESTED I GET THE EXTENDED WINDSHIELD INSURANCE. NOW I KNOW WHY. THERE IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE WINDSHIELDS, THEY ARE DANGEROUS.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CRACK WAS CAUSED BY A FOREIGN OBJECT AND THAT THE REPLACEMENT WOULD NOT BE COVERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED BY A WINDSHIELD COMPANY. THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
I HAD BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER THAT WHEN RAINING THERE WAS A SECTION IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WIPER THAT DIDN'T TOUCH THE GLASS TO CLEAR THE WATER. AFTER GETTING TIRED OF THIS, NEW WIPERS WERE PUT ON HOPING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. NO DIFFERENCE WAS SEEN IN THE REMOVAL OF THE WATER WHEN RAINING. IT SEEMS THAT THE GLASS WAS CONCAVED IN CERTAIN SPOTS CAUSING THE WATER TO POOL UNDER THE BLADE AND NOT BE REMOVED. A FEW WEEKS LATER, OUT OF KNOW WHERE, A SLIGHT MARK WAS NOTICED ON THE GLASS UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER. THIS VEHICLE HAS HEATED STRIPS UNDER THE BLADES TO DEFROST ICE. AFTER TOUCHING IT, IT DIDN'T SEEM TO BE CHIPPED. THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I WENT OUT TO THE CAR, THERE WAS A VERTICAL CRACK IN THE GLASS GOING UP AND GREW VERY QUICKLY BEFORE I COULD GET TO A SUBARU DEALER. IT THEN TURNED DIRECTION HEADING TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE.
ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WITH A CURRENTLY OWNED VEHICLE (2019 SUBARU OUTBACK WITH EYESIGHT) AND A LOANER VEHICLE (2017 SUBARU FORESTER) FROM THE SAME DEALER ENDURED WINDSHIELD CRACKS, BOTH SPONTANEOUSLY. FOR MY CURRENT REPLACEMENT I PAID OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE IT FIXED, FOR THE 2017 FORESTER REPLACEMENT I HAD TO GO THROUGH INSURANCE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT. FOR THE 2017 FORESTER WINDSHIELD INSURANCE CLAIM, THIS WAS PART OF THE REASON I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO RENEW MY PREVIOUS CAR INSURANCE, WHICH NOW COSTS ME SIGNIFICANTLY MORE, YEARLY.
CRACK IN WINDSHIELD AFTER BEING HIT BY BIRD DROPPING JUST ABOVE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. CRACK SPREAD TO 6-8 INCHES AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

I GOT INTO MY CAR THAT WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND NOTICED A LARGE CRACK IN MY WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. IT WAS NOT THERE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO MY WINDSHIELD. SINCE THEN THE CRACK HAS SPREAD ABOUT 1/3 OF THE WAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. AGAIN, SPONTANEOUSLY WITH NO IMPACT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED THERE WAS A CRACK THAT DEVELOPED ON THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FROM THE TOP CURBING DOWN TO RIGHT BELOW THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. THE CRACK WAS NOT CAUSED BY AN OUTSIDE SOURCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (FARRISH SUBARU 10407 FAIRFAX BLVD, FAIRFAX, VA 22030 (888) 485-6484) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED A SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,700.
CAR BATTERY COMPLETELY DRAINED AFTER SITTING OVER NIGHT IN GARAGE. NO ELECTRICAL LEFT ON TO CAUSE DRAINAGE, CAR WAS LOCKED AFTER USE. APPROX 6K MILES ON VEHICLE, NO PRIOR INDICATION OF BATTERY FAILURE.
