CAR HAD AROUND 6,000 MILES WHEN MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE MY CAR WAS SITTING IN MY HEATED GARAGE. NO HITS OR IMPACTS, JUST CRACKED. TOOK SUBARU AROUND A MONTH TO HELP ME AND THEN THEY INSTALLED IT IMPROPERLY AND I NEEDED TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK TO HAVE IT COMPLETED PROPERLY.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED ON PASSENGER SIDE FROM BENEATH THE WIPER BLADE UP ABOUT 12-15 INCHES. VERY SMALL CHIP ABOUT 2 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ALONG THE CRACK. DO NOT REMEMBER BEING HIT BY DEBRIS. EVEN SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY SMALL PEBBLE AND I BELIEVE IT SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK. SEEMS EXTREMELY WEAK. NOT SURE IF THE NEW 2020 OUTBACKS HAVE THE SAME WINDSHIELD ISSUE AS THE 2017-2019 BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE A LOT OF SIMILARITIES WITH MANY OTHER CONSUMERS AND THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST SUBARU FOR THIS REASON.
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. *TR
IN THE MORNING WE DISCOVERED A 10-INCH LONG CRACK IN OUR WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED IN OUR GARAGE OVER 10 HOURS. WE FILED AN INSURANCE CLAIM PRESUMING A ROCK HAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD BUT NEITHER DRIVER RECALLED SUCH AN OCCURRENCE.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that the coolant needed to be replenished frequently. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where a pressure test was performed however, the mechanic did not discover failure with the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, 65 MPH. HEAR A SMALL "CLICK." LOOK OVER AND DISCOVER A 6" CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 40 YEAR AND KNOW WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE WHEN A STONE HITS THE WINDSHIELD. THIS WASN'T A STONE.
The windshield was pitted by something no larger than a grain of sand. Needed to use a magnifying glass to see it. Within 24 hours of no driving a 6" long crack developed.
GOT INTO THE CAR , SHUT THE DOOR AND THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. THE CAR IS TWO WEEKS OLD.
MY WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. NO OBJECT HIT IT. STARTED AS ONE INCH LINE. BY THE TIME I LEFT WORK IT WAS A FOOT AND A HALF IN LENGTH. DEALER SAID THERE WAS OBVIOUS ROCK IMPACT. I DID NOT TAKE A PICTURE WHEN I GOT TO WORK BECAUSE I WAS LATE. FIGURED I COULD DO IT AFTER WORK THEN IT HAD GROWN. I REFUSE TO BUY ANOTHER SUBARU WINDSHIELD. THIS HAPPENED WITH LESS THAN 5000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD STARTED TO CRACK. THE CRACK STARTED FROM THE LOWER SECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT A GLASS REPAIR FACILITY. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT LESS THAN 1800 MILES WHILE TRAVELLING DOWN HIGHWAY. AT LESS THAN 3,000 MILES, ANOTHER CRACK HAD DEVELOPED. BOTH CRACKS STARTED ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT (PASSENGER SIDE) OF THE WINDSHIELD AND ARE TRAVELLING UP AND TO THE LEFT OF THE WINDSHIELD IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S LINE OF SIGHT.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while seated in the vehicle in the driveway of the residence, the front windshield cracked without impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the failure was not caused by a manufacturing defect. The windshield was replaced. The contact stated that the windshield had been replaced three times and was in the process of a fourth replacement. The contact stated that the first three windshield replacements were due to a small gravel striking the windshield. The contact stated that failures had occurred while driving, and it was very scary, she was very nervous when she heard the loud popping sound from the windshield. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 500.
THE FRONT WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR CRACKED WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN A PARKING LOT THAT HAD NO TREES OR OBJECTS THAT COULD HAVE HIT IN THE LOCATION IT CRACKED.
I BOUGHT CAR HOME ON JAN 2. ON JAN 4TH I WOKE UP AND DISCOVERED THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED OVER NIGHT FOR NO REASON THAT WE COULD FIND. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED ALL NIGHT IN A DRIVE WAY AND NO OTHER DAMAGE OR ANYTHING WAS APPARENT. IT JUST GOT ABOUT 10 DEGREE COLDER DURING THE NIGHT THEN NORMAL.
THE CAR HAS A FAULTY ELECTRONIC SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS THE STABILITY AND THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. TRANSMISSION ALSO NEEDS REPLACEMENT. PROBLEMS HAPPEN AT HIGH SPEED ON FREEWAYS. REAR CAMERA POOR IMAGE QUALITY. THE BACK-UP CAMERA IS THAT IT GETS FAIRLY GRAINY IN LIGHT RAIN AND/OR AT NIGHT. NOT VERY CLEAR AND I DON'T SEE ANY SETTINGS ANYWHERE. IT LOOKS LIKE A VERY OLD CAMERA LACKING LIGHTING AND YOU ALSO SEE THE "GRAIN" OF THE IMAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED, THE STEERING CEASED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS ALSO EXPERIENCED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, WITH THE STEERING BEING DIFFICULT TO OPERATE. NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO STOHLMAN SUBARU SERVICE LOCATED AT 8435 LEESBURG PIKE, VIENNA, VA 22182 AND WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,300.
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. ON 12/30/2020 MY WIFE AND I DROVE UP INTO MOUNTAINS TO SPEND NEW YEARS EVE CAMPING. ASCENT WAS 6000+ FEET WITH A SHARP TEMPERATURE CHANGE. TWO CRACKS APPEARED BELOW THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, THEN JOINED INTO ONE AND SPREAD FURTHER UP THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK SEEMED TO OCCUR SHORTLY AFTER TURNING ON THE DEFROST FUNCTION. WE NOTICED THE CRACK WHILE STOPPED. NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I TOOK THE CAR TO OUR DEALER, BOB BAKER SUBARY IN CARLSBAD, CA, BUT THEY DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CRACK. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT WAS FROM A ROCK AND HE COULD TELL BECAUSE HE HAS 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. YET HE FAILED TO ASK A SINGLE QUESTION OF WHEN, WHERE OR HOW IT OCCURRED.
THE CAR WAS PARKED ON 12/28.2019 IN PERFECT CONDITION AS NEW. UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE AT 11:50AM ON 12/29/2019 IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED OVERNIGHT. THE CRACK IS 24 INCHES IN LENGTH AND RUNS FROM THE BOTTOM DRIVERS SIDE UNDER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER HEADING IN AN UPWARD DIRECTION THEN TURNS TOWARD THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AT AN ELEVATION OF ONE THIRD THE HEIGHT OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND STATIONARY WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I HAVE BEEN EXCLUSIVELY THE SOLE DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE FOR ALL OF ITS 2260 MILES. THE WINDSHIELD HAS NEVER BEEN STRUCK BY AN OBJECT.THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW BY ME ON 10/31/2019.
FRONT WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED DURING NORMAL DRIVING MODE
1. THE BACKUP AND FRONT CAMERA ARE DOWNGRADED FROM PREVIOUS MODELS OF OUTBACK.SUBARU OF AMERICA DENIES THIS. THE NIGHT VISIBILITY IS DANGEROUS. THE DEALERSHIP AGREES. I HAVE PURCHASED FOUR OUTBACKS IN SIX YEARS AND I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. IT IS TOTALLY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. SUBARU WILL NOT TELL ME IF THEY PLAN TO CHANGE THE CAMERAS OR UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE. ALSO, THE EQUALIZER WILL NOT HOLD ITS SETTING EVERY TIME YOU GET IN THE CAR. I AM SURE THIS IS A SOFTWARE SETTING AS WELL. TO CHANGE THE SETTING, YOU EITHER HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD OR DO IT WHILE DRIVING WHICH CREATES A DANGEROUS MANEUVER.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE TOO BRIGHT, OR ANGLED TOO HIGH. I'M CONSTANTLY HAVING OTHER VEHICLES "FLASH" ME AT NIGHT THINKING I HAVE HIGH BEAMS ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED WORTH PEOPLE I KNOW TELLING ME AND STRANGERS. BOTH ON HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS.
POOR REAR CAMERA VISIBILITY, LEADING ME TO NEARLY HIT GAS PUMPS
DEC 7TH. LANE CENTERING AND CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTIONS ON. WHILE TRAVELING SOUTH ON I-75 IN THE CENTER LANE MY WIFE MOVED TO THE LEFT LANE TO PASS ANOTHER CAR. AFTER PASSING THE CAR SHE HAD TO FIGHT THE STEERING WHEEL TO STAY IN THE LEFT HAND LANE. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES SHE TOOK HER HANDS OFF THE WHEEL AND THE CAR VEERED SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT AND ACROSS THE DASHED WHITE LINE INTO THE CENTER LANE. AS SHE RIGHTED HERSELF BACK INTO THE LEFT HAND LANE I REACHED OVER AND TURNED THE LANE CENTERING FUNCTION OFF. ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER SHE WAS FOLLOWING A BROWN VAN. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS STILL ON, WAS MAINTAINING A SPEED OF 68 MPH AND SAFE DISTANCE. CRUISE WAS SET AT 70MPH AND DISTANCE AT 4 BARS. THE VAN EXITED THE INTERSTATE AT WHICH TIME THE OUTBACK STARTED A HARD ACCELERATION AND HAD REACHED A SPEED OF 87 MPH BEFORE I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND TURNED OFF CRUISE CONTROL. ACCELERATION FACTOR WAS SET TO NORMAL, I THEN SET IT TO ECO DEC 19TH. CRUISE CONTROL ON, LANE CENTERING ON CRUISE SET AT 70 MPH, DISTANCE AT 2 BARS. PASSED A SEMI THAT WAS DOING LESS THAN 70 MPH. I NOW HAD A PACK BEHIND ME AND ANOTHER PACK A GOOD WAYS IN FRONT OF ME. MOVED BACK INTO THE CENTER LANE WHERE I PASSED THE TRUCK. CRUISE STARTED ACCELERATING, AT 77MPH TURNED THE CRUISE OFF. MY FOOT WAS NOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. CRUISE ACCELERATION WAS STILL ON ECO MODE. SPEED THEN DECREASED AS EXPECTED. I NOW HAVE 2 INSTANTANEOUS OF WHERE THE CRUISE CONTROL ACCELERATED THE VEHICLE PASSED THE SET SPEED. I NOW HAVE 1 INSTANTANEOUS OF WHERE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STAY IN ITS LANE. NOTE. I LIKE MY SUBARU OUTBACK VERY MUCH. IT IS QUIET, COMFORTABLE AND EASY TO DRIVE. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THE INCORRECT FUNCTIONING OF THE VEHICLE ON THE ABOVE TWO DATES WARRANT DOCUMENTATION FOR FURTHER SAFETY INVESTIGATION. NEITHER THE DEALER OR SUBARU HAS YET BEEN INFORMED

DIABLO SUBARU OF WALNUT CREEK (2646 N MAIN ST, WALNUT CREEK, CA 94597) INFORMED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO BE SERVICED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,300.
FOUR WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THE NEW VEHICLE, I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK APPEARED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IT CONTINUED TO CRACK FOR ABOUT 6 MORE INCHES. I HAVE NOW ORDERED A NEW WINDSHIELD TO REPLACE THE BROKEN ONE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN I NOTICED THE CRACK INITIALLY.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS CAR ARE TOO BRIGHT OR NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. I HAVE BEEN HIGH BEAMED ON MANY OCCASIONS. 9 TIMES ONE EVENING, 13 TIMES ANOTHER EVENING, AND 17 TIMES ON ANOTHER EVENING. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN NOT ONLY FOR ME BUT FOR THE OTHER DIVERS AS WELL. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO SUBARU EVERY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. I HAVE ALSO HAD IT IN FOR SERVICE AND WAS TOLD "THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY ARE" "JUST IGNORE THE OTHER DRIVERS" WELL, I CAN'T DO THAT WHEN I AM CONSTANTLY BEING HIGH BEAMED FROM SO MANY OTHER VEHICLES. NOT JUST CARS. CARS, FULL SIZE PICKUP TRUCKS, SEMI'S, SUV'S ETC. I HAVE EVEN BEEN HIGH BEAMED NOT ONLY ON OUR 2 LANE HIGHWAYS BUT ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY WITH ME IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE AND THE OTHER DRIVER GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I TALKED WITH SUBARU AGAIN TODAY AND WAS TOLD "IF YOU TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE, AND THE TECHNICIAN SAYS THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE HEADLIGHTS THEN, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO." AGAIN, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I HAVE NEVER IN ALL MY YEARS OF DRIVING BEEN HIGH BEAMED SO MANY TIMES.
WINDSHIELD HAS 4 CRACKS/RUNS APPROX 24 INCHES EACH AND CHIPS VERY EASILY. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY WINDSHIELDS TO REPLACE IT WITH. SAFELITE COULDN'T FIND MY CAR'S WINDSHIELD IN THEIR INVENTORY. I EVEN BOUGHT THE POLICY THAT REPLACES THE WINDSHIELD AT NO COST TO ME. I DRIVE WITH A CRACKED WINDSHIELD THAT CAN'T BE FIXED.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED SPONTANEOUSLY WHILE IN GARAGE OVERNIGHT.
2 SEPARATE INCIDENT WINDSHIELD CRACKS WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF NEW PURCHASE
MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING HOME ON I35 IN OKLAHOMA. THE ROAD WAS STRAIGHT. IT WAS NIGHTTIME. I HAD ALL THE SUBARU EYESIGHT SAFETY SYSTEMS ENABLED. BOTH HANDS WERE ON THE STEERING WHEEL, WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70MPH. LANE CENTERING WAS AMONG THE FEATURES OPERATING. I SUDDENLY EXPERIENCED AN INSTANTANEOUS AND VERY ABRUPT, UNCOMMANDED ~30-40 DEGREE CLOCKWISE ROTATION OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE WHOLE EVENT LASTED JUST 2-3 SECONDS AND I QUICKLY RECOVERED BACK TO THE LEFT. FORTUNATELY, THE LATERAL DISPLACEMENT OF OUR TRACK WAS ONLY A FEW FEET INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE ON THE INTERSTATE. MY MANUAL CONTROL INPUTS ON THE STEERING WHEEL EASILY OVERCAME THE ACTUATOR. I IMMEDIATELY DISABLED THE LANE CENTERING FUNCTION AND WE CONTINUED HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE TAKEAWAY THAT I WANT TO EMPHASIZE IS THAT THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY ABRUPT, SUDDEN HARD RIGHT DEFLECTION OF THE WHEEL. THIS WAS NOT THE NORMAL GENTLE NUDGE AND SLOW, SLIGHT STEERING WHEEL MOVEMENTS THAT THE LANE KEEP AND LANE CENTERING SYSTEMS NORMALLY PROVIDE. IMAGINE THAT YOUR PASSENGER REACHED OVER AND FORCEFULLY GRABBED THE STEERING WHEEL AND YANKED HARD DOWN ON IT - THAT'S AS CLOSELY AS I CAN DESCRIBE THIS.
I EXPERIENCED TWO INCIDENTS WITH THE LIFT GATE ON MY 2020 OUTBACK LIMITED XT WHICH I BELIEVE TO BE SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS. THEY BOTH HAPPENED ON 11/23/2019. FIRST INCIDENT: THE CAR WAS IN AN INDOOR PARKING GARAGE, BACKED UP TO THE WALL WITH ABOUT 4 FT OF CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE CLOSED LIFT GATE AND THE WALL. I HAD JUST PUT MY 2-YEAR-OLD GRANDSON INTO HIS STROLLER, AND WE WERE BETWEEN THE REAR OF THE CAR AND THE WALL. AS I WAS WHEELING THE STROLLER AWAY FROM THE CAR, THE LIFT GATE AUTOMATICALLY OPENED AND PINNED THE STROLLER AGAINST THE WALL! I WAS NOT TOUCHING THE KEY FOB IN ANY WAY. THE GATE DID NOT IMMEDIATELY SENSE THE OBSTRUCTION, AND IT CONTINUED TO FORCE ITSELF AGAINST THE STROLLER. I HAD TO PUSH FORCEFULLY AGAINST THE LIFT GATE IN ORDER TO FREE MY GRANDSON AND ME. SECOND INCIDENT: AFTER RETURNING TO THE CAR WHICH WAS PARKED AS DESCRIBED IN THE FIRST INCIDENT, THE LIFT GATE FORCEFULLY HIT MY WIFE ON THE HEAD! I HAD RAISED THE GATE, AND AFTER THE GATE WAS ALL THE WAY UP, MY WIFE BENT DOWN TO PUT AN ITEM IN. THE LIFT GATE CAME DOWN ON HER HEAD. SHE WAS IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN! IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 24 HOURS SINCE THIS OCCURRED, AND SHE IS STILL EXPERIENCING HEADACHE, NAUSEA AND BLURRED VISION. WE ARE NOW SEEKING MEDICAL ATTENTION. LATER THAT AFTERNOON I EXPERIMENTED WITH THE GATE, AND IT MALFUNCTIONED THE SAME WAY (2ND INCIDENT) 2 MORE TIMES! AFTER IT WENT UP ALL THE WAY, THE GATE IMMEDIATELY CAME DOWN AUTOMATICALLY! (WITHOUT THE KEY FOB BEING PHYSICALLY CONTACTED IN ANY WAY)
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE STEERING. MILLER HILL SUBARU (4710 MILLER TRUNK HWY, DULUTH, MN 55811, (218) 722-5337) WAS CONTACTED AND SCHEDULED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 600.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I HAD ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND LANE CENTERING TURNED ON. I WAS DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT STRETCH OF HIGHWAY WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL JUTTED LEFT VERY HARD. I HAD BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL WHEN THIS HAPPENED BUT WAS UNPREPARED FOR IT. THIS CAUSED ME TO VERGE INTO THE MEDIAN. I CORRECTED THE VEHICLE STEERING AND CONTINUED DRIVING. I STOPPED USING LANCE CENTERING AFTER THIS OCCURRED AND REACHED OUT TO SUBARU OF AMERICA. THEY REQUESTED I TAKE THE CAR INTO MY LOCAL SHOP WHICH I DID. THE DEALER DID NOT FIND ANY ISSUES WITH LANE CENTERING AND HAD NO REASON WHY THIS WOULD OCCUR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT AN INTERSECTION, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL; HOWEVER, THE ELECTRONIC EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUBARU OF BEND (2060 NE HWY 20, BEND, OR 97701, (541) 389-3031) WHERE IT WAS CURRENTLY BEING DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY BEGAN AN INVESTIGATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 520.*CW*JB
ALL FOUR FRONT VENTS IN DASH BOARD RATTLE WHEN GOING ABOUT 40 MPH ON SLIGHTLY ROUGH SURFACE. ALSO LOUD SOUND THAT SOUNDS LIKE POPCORN POPPING ON PASSENGER SIDE THAT SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER CORNER OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD OR DASH BOARD. THE POPCORN SOUND STARTS WHEN DRIVING AT 65 TO 70 MPH.
MY 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK HEADLIGHTS ARE TOO BRIGHT AND APPEAR TO BE AIMED TOO HIGH. DRIVING AT NIGHT IS A VERY REAL PROBLEM DUE TO THE NUMBER OF OTHER DRIVERS WHO KEEP PUTTING ON THEIR HIGH BEAM LIGHTS THINKING MINE ARE ON WHEN THEY ARE NOT.ALSO I CAN SEE MY BEAMS POINTING HIGHER DOWN THE ROAD THEN FOR ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE OWNED. I CONTACTED FIRST THE DEALERSHIP AND THEN SUBARU OF AMERICA, THE DEALER WAS APOLOGETIC AND EXPLAINED THERE ARE NO ADJUSTMENTS TO BE MADE ON THE AIM OF LIGHTS BECAUSE NONE WERE BUILT INTO THE CAR AT THE FACTORY. SUBARU OF AMERICA CONFIRMED THIS WHEN I CONTACTED THEM AND SAID, WITHOUT EVEN SEEING MY PARTICULAR CAR THAT MY HEADLIGHTS ARE ALIGNED PROPERLY AND THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO BRIGHTNESS OR AIM. THIS IS A HAZARD DUE TO BLINDING ONCOMING DRIVERS AND THEY IN TURN PUTTING THEIR HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ON BLINDING ME. HOW CAN THEY MAKE LIGHTS WITH NO ADJUSTMENT AVAILABLE?
BATTERY DRAINED WHEN VEHICLE PARKED WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS OR OTHER ELECTRIC LOAD CAUSING DEAD BATTERY. THIS HAPPENED 2X, FIRST TIME WAS ON THE 3RD DAY OF BRAND NEW CAR OWNERSHIP. 2ND TIME 6 MONTHS LATER. NO-START CONDITION LEAVES WOMEN PRIMARY DRIVER IN A VULNERABLE POSITION OF BEING STRANDED WHILE AWAY FROM HOME. APPARENTLY THERE MAY BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT PENDING FOR SIMILAR FAILURES TO OTHER SUBARU OWNERS. *TR
