CAR HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN IN WEEKS AND HAS BEEN SAFELY STORED ON MY PROPERTY. GOT THE CAR OUT TO WASH IT AND I NOTICED A CHIP DEVELOPED IN THE WINDSHIELD. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT AN INCREDIBLY UNUSUAL SWIRL DEVELOPED IN THE GLASS THAT CANNOT BE CLEANED FROM INSIDE OR OUT. PHOTO ATTACHED. LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING BETWEEN THE LAYERS OF GLASS. FILED A CLAIM AND MY INSURANCE SENT OUT SAFELITE TO FILL THE CHIP. SWIRL IS STILL THERE. SEEMS UNSAFE. *TR
FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED HALFWAY ACROSS THE GLASS AFTER A PEBBLE KICKED UP WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CRACK SPIDERED OUT ON ITS OWN ACROSS THE ENTIRE FRONT WINDSHIELD WITHIN FIVE HOURS. CAMERA ON WINDSHIELD NOW HAS TO BE RECALIBRATED OTHERWISE WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY.
THE LEFT-MOST DASH VENT RATTLES INTERMITTENTLY, MOST OFTEN ON ROUGH ROAD SURFACE. VEHICLE PURCHASED IN DECEMBER 2019, AND RATTLE STARTED IN APRIL 2020. MY LOCAL DEALER REPLACED THE VENT, BUT THE RATTLE CONTINUES AND APPEARS TO COME FROM BEHIND THE VENT. BECAUSE IT'S INTERMITTENT AND CAN'T BE REPRODUCED ON DEMAND I'VE THOROUGHLY DOCUMENTED IT WITH AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDINGS. ESCALATING WITH SUBARU OF AMERICA TO GET IT RESOLVED.
THE MORNING OF MARCH 26 I NOTICED AN APPROXIMATELY 8-INCH-LONG CRACK ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. BY THE END OF THE DAY THE CRACK HAD SPREAD TO ALMOST THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAR HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY THE PREVIOUS DAY AND THERE WAS NO NOTICEABLE ROCK IMPACT. AT THE TIME THE CAR HAD 3600 MILES ON IT AND HAD BEEN OWNED FOR 2.5 MONTHS. LOCAL DEALER (HERB GORDON SUBARU IN SILVER SPRING, MD) GRACIOUSLY COVERED THE REPLACEMENT AND RECALIBRATION OF EYE-SIGHT CAMERAS.
I GOT IN MY CAR ONE MORNING AND NOTICED A CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK WAS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ORIGINATED FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE GLASS. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK OR SO, AND THE CRACK CONTINUES TO GROW EVERYDAY.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the battery was completely drained. The contact stated that he was able to jumpstart the vehicle and continued to operate the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had become more frequent. The contact stated that he had not replaced the battery which was the original OEM battery. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that he needed to drive the vehicle more frequently. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure reoccurred and the contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer who advised that there were no electrical failures and that he should return after one month to reprogram the computer. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO START VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY TAKEN TO LAFONTAINE SUBARU (3055 E WEST MAPLE RD, COMMERCE CHARTER TWP, MI 48390) TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,800.
WIND SHIELD IS CRACKED AFTER SITTING IN GARAGE FOR 2 DAYS
PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED. NO ROCK HITS OR CHIPS.
THE WINDSHIELD JUST CRACKED WHEN IT WAS PARKED IN AN OPEN PARKING LOT.
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE AROUND 50-70 IT WILL HESITATE AND ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO STOP. NO WARNING LIGHTS COME ON HAVE TAKING BACK TO THE DEALER. THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO DO THIS. THE VEHICLE IS NOT COLD WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT CAN BE AFTER I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 30 MINUTES OR MORE. THIS HAPPENS ON MAIN ROADS AND HIGHWAYS.
WINDSHIELD IN MY 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK SEEMS TO BE MADE OF FAKE GLASS, SOFT OR THIN GLASS THAT IS EXTREMELY SUSCEPTIBLE TO ROCK CHIPS AND GLASS BREAKAGE. HAVE HAD THE NEW SUBARU A LITTLE OVER A MONTH (2600 MILES) AND ALREADY HAVE HAD 3 ROCK CHIPS ON THE WINDSHIELD. IT SEEMS LIKE EVEN THE SMALLEST PIECE OF ROCK CAUSES THE GLASS TO CHIP. COMPARED TO MY OTHER 3 VEHICLES THESE ROCK CHIPS OCCUR MUCH MORE FREQUENTLY. IT HAPPENS WHEN FOLLOWING OR MEETING OTHER VEHICLES WHEN THE TIRES OF THOSE VEHICLES THROW UP SMALL ROCK PIECES. ALL 3 OCCURRENCES WERE WHILE DRIVING ON PAVED, 2 LANE HIGHWAYS. IT'S NOT JUST A CASE OF BAD LUCK AS MY 2016 SUBARU ALSO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT'S FAKE GLASS. IT OBSTRUCTS VISION UNTIL YOU CAN GET THE ROCK CHIPS REPAIRED OR THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED.
A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, AND THE NEXT MORNING A MASSIVE CRACK APPEARED. *TR
I WOKE UP ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH TO SEE MY CAR'S WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED OVERNIGHT WHILE IT WAS SITTING IN THE GARAGE. THIS CRACK WAS NOT THERE WHEN I PARKED IT THE NIGHT BEFORE. MY DEALERSHIP DOES NOT BELIEVE ME AND SAYS A STONE HIT IT BUT NO STONE HIT THE WINDSHIELD SINCE I DROVE IT OFF THE CAR LOT ON MONDAY, MARCH 2ND. I HAD THE DEFROSTERS ON FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS THURSDAY, MARCH 5TH. THIS IS A BRAND NEW LEASE WITH ONLY 200 MILES ON IT AS OF FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH WHEN THE CRACK WAS NOTICED.
2020 OUTBACK WITH UNDER 6,000 MILES AND WINDSHIELD CRACK FROM THE UPPER RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE INTO THE MAIN VIEW ARE
THE WINDSHILED HAS A LARGE CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND IS UNDER A WEEK OLD. I NOTICED THE CRACK AFTER VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED ALL NIGHT AT MY HOUSE. NOT SURE HOW OR WHERE IT BEGAN. I NOTICED ON 3/5 BUT NOT SURE HOW LONG A SMALLER ONE COULD HAVE BEEN THERE AND STARTED TO GROW.
THE LOW BEAM'S ANGLE ON THE SELF-LEVELING HEADLIGHT UNITS IS TOO FLAT BLINDING ONCOMING TRAFFIC (EVERY OTHER CAR AND THIRD TRUCK FLASHES THEIR HIGH BEAMS AT ME). THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HANDSFREE BLUETOOTH PROTOCOL IS INADEQUATE AS INCOMING CALL VOLUME IS TOO LOW (EVEN AFTER INCREASING SPEAKER VOLUME TO MAXIMUM). IT MAKES HANDSFREE OPERATION OF YOUR MOBILE PHONE ALL BUT WORTHLESS WHILE HANDSFREE OPERATION IS REQUIRED BY LAW IN MY STATE. BOTH ISSUES ARE SAFETY ISSUES AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. SUBARU DEALER WILL NOT COVER IT AND BECAME VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THE CRACK BECAME MUCH LARGER OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND THE CRACK GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER SIDE MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE.
NEW VEHICLE PARKED IN DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT. FOUND LATE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD IN THE MORNING. NO KNOW CHIPS OR IMPACTS.
WITHIN A WEEK OF PURCHASING MY 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK A CRACK APPEARED ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD, FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IT STRETCHES FROM ONE SIDE HALF WAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD, RIGHT IN THE FIELD OF VIEW. IT APPEARED OVERNIGHT, WHILE CAR WAS SITTING IN MY GARAGE. NO ROCK PECKS.
THERE IS A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD THAT BASICALLY APPEARED OVER NIGHT. IT WASN'T THERE WHEN WE PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE IN THE EVENING AND THEN I NOTICED IT THE NEXT DAY WHEN I GOT OUT. IT STARTS FROM THE EDGE OF THE GLASS AND THERE ARE EVEN SHARDS OF GLASS COMING OUT IN ONE SPOT. WE WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED A ROCK HITTING US AS OUR CAR IS ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS OLD...MY FIRST BRAND NEW PURCHASE. THE CRACK NOW GOES COMPLETELY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TURNING ON THE VEHICLE INSIDE THE GARAGE, THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF A FRACTURE ON THE LOWER PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD BELOW THE WIPER BLADE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CASTLE SUBARU (6100 US HWY 6, PORTAGE, IN 46368, (219) 764-5020) WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WINDSHIELD WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
VEHICLE DIES AND HAS TO BE JUMPED EVERY TIME WE START IT. HAS BEEN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE 3/2020, AND HAS BEEN GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.
2020 Subaru Outback purchased in January 2020 has had to have windshield replaced twice. I have owned dozens of vehicles and never had to replace a windshield more than once even on vehicles I owned for 10 - 15 years. The windshields clearly are defective as evidenced by the many complaints regarding windshields for multiple Subaru models over several years.
WE PURCHASED OUR 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK IN OCTOBER 2019 AND WITHIN A A FEW MONTHS (FEB 2020) WE CAME BACK TO OUR PARKED CAR WITH A CRACKED STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM OF WINDSHIELD THAT STARTED FROM THE WIPERS. WE GOT OUR WINDSHIELD REPLACED, FAST FORWARD TO OCTOBER 2020 AND WE'RE REPLACING OUR WINDSHIELD AGAIN FROM DRIVING ON A ROLL RODE. THERE HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF DEFECT ON THESE WINDSHIELDS. WE CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS ON THESE NEW CARS.

THE CRACK EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 3 FEET. THE LOCAL DEALER AUTO NATION SUBARU SCOTTSDALE LOCATED AT (15678 N. NORTHSIGHT BLVD, SCOTTSDALE AZ) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,800.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, a pebble hit the middle of her driver’s side windshield creating a crack which overtime spread horizontally across the windshield. Due to the failure, the crack would obstruct the contact's vision while driving. She then took the vehicle to a dealer where she had the windshield replaced out of pocket. A few months after the replacement, the contact experienced two separate windshield cracks within a week. Both cracks had spread horizontally across the windshield and were within inches of meeting in the middle. The contact stated that both cracks had formed after minor road debris had hit the windshield. The contact also stated that the most recent crack obstructed her vision while driving. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the issue. The windshield was not replaced. The failure mileage was 18,442.
WINDSHIELD
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY I NOTICE THAT MY WINDSHIELD GOT CRACKED FOR NO REASON. I JUST PURCHACED MY OUTBACK 5 DAYS AGO BEFORE IT HAPPENED.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, MY WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD DOWN PAST THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. I WAS HIT BY NO ROCKS OR ANY DEBRIS.
THE WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK SITTING IN THE GARAGE AFTER RETURNING FROM A 10 MILE DRIVE. TWO HOURS AFTER HAVING PARKED THE CAR WITHOUT ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE, A 10 INCH CRACK WAS VISIBLE ORIGINATING FROM THE UPPER LEFT CORNER. THE CRACK HAS GROWN TO ABOUT 24 INCHES OVER THE NEXT DAY.
MY 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK HAD SMALL WINDSHIELD CRACK FOR NO REASON JUST AFTER 2 MONTHS OF PURCHASING. IT WAS NOT USING FOR SOME DAYS AND WAS IN MY APARTMENT PARKING LOT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR NO COST BUT IT LOOKS LIKE LOW QUALITY WINDSHIELD FITS ON THE CAR FROM FACTORY.
BOUGHT A NEW CAR WITH A DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELD
I AM ON MY 4TH WINDSHIELD. MY WINDSHIELDS KEEP CRACKING FROM CHIPS,, WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED OVERNIGHT. APPEARS TO BE SPONTANEOUS.
OWNER DROVE ON TO A PARKING LOT. VEHICLE LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION FUNCTION SENSED A WHITE LINE ON THE PAVEMENT. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO TURN LEFT, ACCELERATION AN UNCONTROLLABLE FASHION. THE VEHICLE JUMPED THE CURB PROCEEDING INTO HEAVY SHRUBS WHICH DAMAGED THE VEHICLE. THE SHRUBS STOPPED THE VEHICLE.
WINDSHIELD CRACK. HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN 3 WEEKS AND 250 MILES. STARTED THE CAR WITH REMOTE, AND AFTER ENTERING THE VEHICLE, NOTICED A CRACK AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD ABOUT 12" IN LENGTH. UPON INSPECTION, SAW AN AREA OF SMALL REFLECTIONS JUST BENEATH THE DRIVER'S SIDE WIPER WHERE THE IN-GLASS DEFROSTING ELEMENTS ARE LOCATED, THE CRACK EXTENDS FROM THIS POINT IN TWO DIRECTIONS; ONE DOWN TO THE BASE OF THE GLASS, THE OTHER DIAGONALLY UPWARD. FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALS NO CHIPPING OR ROUGHNESS ON THE EXTERIOR, THOUGH THE OUTER LAMINATION IS THE LAYER THAT IS CRACKED. THERE SEEMS TO BE A FLAW INTERNALLY FROM WHICH THE BREAK EMANATES. AS STATED EARLIER, THIS SIMPLY APPEARED UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW FREEZING AND THE CAR HAD BEEN STARTED WITH THE HEATER/DEFROSTER ON TO PRE-WARM THE INTERIOR. THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD FROM A ROCK OR OTHER DEBRIS; IN FACT THE POINT WHERE THERE IS THE VISIBLE FLAW IS EXACTLY BENEATH THE WIPER IN THE RESTING POSITION; NO OBJECT COULD HAVE STRUCK THE GLASS THERE AS IT IS COVERED BY THE WIPER BLADE. PHOTOS SHOW THE OVERALL WINDSHIELD WITH THE WIPER RETRACTED AND A CLOSEUP THAT SHOWS THE POINT OF ORIGIN AND HORIZONTAL DEFROSTER ELEMENTS. WHEN REPORTED TO THE SELLING DEALER, THE SERVICE PERSON SAID THERE IS NO COVERAGE FOR GLASS, IN SPITE OF THE STATED 36 MONTH/30K MILE 'BUMPER-TO-BUMPER' WARRANTY. WE EXPLAINED AND SHOWED DEALER REPRESENTATIVES THAT THIS INSTANCE WAS CLEARLY NOT CAUSED BY A ROAD HAZARD BUT A SPONTANEOUS BREAK. THE CRACK HAS CONTINUED TO LENGTHEN WHILE WE WAIT FOR APPEALS TO REGIONAL SUBARU REPRESENTATIVES.
FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS MULTIPLE PITS ON IT AFTER ONLY A FEW HUNDRED MILES OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. THERE HAVE BEEN NO ROCKS HITTING IT. THE VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT AND BARELY DRIVEN. THE CONCERN IS THAT THE WINDSHIELD WILL EVENTUALLY CRACK.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM THE BOTTOM WHEN THE HEATER AND DEFROSTER WERE USED TO PREHEAT THE CAR ON COLD MORNING IN THE DRIVEWAY. THERMAL SHOCK FROM THE OUTSIDE VS INSIDE TEMPERATURE CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK UPWARDS AND THEN SPLIT IN BOTH LATERAL DIRECTIONS. COINCIDENTALLY, THE CAR IS NEW AND WAS MAKING A CREAKING NOISE WHEN I TURNED TO THE RIGHT WHICH I COULD NOT SOURCE. NOW THE WINDOW IS CRACKED AND THE NOISE IS GONE. TELLS ME THE WINDSHIELD WAS TOO TIGHT AND UNDER STRESS.
THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED JUST A FEW HOURS AFTER APPLYING CRYSTAL FUSION TO PROTECT THE WINDSHIELD. IT STARTED RAINING AFTER IT WAS APPLIED. WE WENT TO DINNER, AND WHEN WE CAME BACK TO THE PARKED VEHICLE, THERE WAS AN APPROXIMATE 6" CRACK, ON THE LEFT, DRIVER'S SIDE, FROM THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD.
I PURCHASED A 2020 SUBARU OUTBACK ONE WEEK AGO (JAN 30, 2020) TODAY I HAVE 700 MILES AND AFTER HEARING OF CHARGES AGAINST SUBARU FOR PRODUCING DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELDS I INSPECTED MINE AND I NOTICED A 2' LONG WINDSHIELD CRACK ON LOWER DRIVERS SIDE. I'M CONCERNED THAT IT MAY SPREAD LATER TO IMPEDE MY VISION, BUT WANTED TO GO ON RECORD THAT THIS DEFECT EXISTS.
The vehicle does not start at unforeseen times. Battery has been replaced. Safety is a risk if car would not start in unsafe location. Dealership has been unable to fix problem or find drain on battery or electrical problems. Car has had to be towed to dealership and jump started by a professional many times in order to drive to dealership.
WINDSHIELD CHIPPED VERY EASILY
THE WINDSHIELD IS TOO FRAGILE. I'VE OWNED THIS CAR FOR LESS THAN 4 MONTHS, HAVE ALREADY HAD MY WINDSHIELD REPLACED ONCE. LITERALLY 2 WEEKS AFTER REPLACEMENT, ANOTHER CRACK. I DIDN'T EVEN HEAR A ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS DRIVING OFF THE EXIT OF A FREEWAY, NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME, I HEARD A SMALL CRACKING NOISE. I NOTICED A BULLSEYE CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IF THE GLASS CAN'T EVEN SUSTAIN A SMALL ROCK HITTING IT (SO SMALL THAT I DIDNT EVEN HEAR IT HIT THE WINDSHIELD) HOW DOES THIS GLASS HOLD UP IN ACCIDENTS?
Headlights do not have a true low beam. When low beam is selected it partially blocks the top of the high beam. OK if on a dead flat road. On one that undulates at all at some point cars coming the other way are blinded by the full brightness of the headlight. Often because of this oncoming cars are flashing their high beams at me thinking that I haven't dimmed mine. If a driver is blinded by the high beam brightness it could cause an accident. Or it could cause a road rage incident by someone offended by my high beam. In my state the Police have fined drivers for not dimming their lights. Selecting low beam creates a very obvious horizontal cut off of the high beam. But a bounce or by meeting another vehicle while I going up a grade will shine the full high beam in their face.
CRACKED WINDSHIELD FOR NO APPARENT REASON. PARKED THE CAR IN THE GARAGE WITH NO CRACK IN THE WINDOW CAME OUT IN THE MORNING AND WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED. DEALERSHIP WILL NOT COVERUNDER WARRANTY.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A PAVED ROAD WHEN I HEARD A NOISE AND REALIZED I HAD A CHIP IN MY WINDSHIELD. THERE WERE NOT CARS AROUND ME AND DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING FLY AT MY WINDSHIELD. THE ROAD IS IN A RESIDENTIAL/BUSINESS NEIGHBORHOOD. THE CHIP HAS NOT GROWN SINCE THEN. I DON'T REMEMBER THE EXACT DATE I'VE ALSO NOTICED AFTER GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH MY WINDSHIELD WILL LOOK CLEAN FOR BUT BY THE END OF THE DAY IT'S LOOKS DIRTY WITH LITTLE SPECKS ALL OVER IT AGAIN. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER IS.
CAR HAS ~1000 MILES. THE WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. NO CHIPS OR IMPACT. CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION. JUST WOKE UP ONE MORNING AND NOTICED IT WAS CRACKED. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SUBARU CARS. MULTIPLE REPORTS AND CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS.
THE WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED FOR NO REASON. WHEN RETURNING HOME, NOTICED A 15 INCH CRACK RISING FROM THE LOWER PASSENGER-SIDE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD, RISING UNDER THE WIPERS AND TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAR HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PARKED OUTDOORS UNDER OVERCAST SKIES (NOT HOT), AND THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING. (NOR DO I RECALL ANY WINDSHIELD IMPACTS AT ANY TIME SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR) THE CRACK SIMPLY APPEARED. IT WAS NOT PRESENT 10 MINUTES PRIOR WHEN MY SON GOT INTO THE CAR.
