The 21 inches uberturbine wheel breaks to easy with not too big road holes. It cause the tire to loose air pressure and can cause a serious accident. The machine shop has a lot of them to be repaired. For the money it cost, it should have a better quality wheel.
The car radio keeps freezing on songs insulting me or wont play music at all. After resetting the car while driving for the 937,845,609,238,457,609,823,756,098,273,546,908,723,549,068th time the car started playing "Car Radio" a song about a guys car radio being stolen and the silence making him want to pull the steering wheel and kill himself in a car accident. Shortly after this the car radio played "Kill yourself on a Beach" on my daily trip to McDonalds because it's all I can afford while slowly going bankrupt driving this Tesla on Uber because of all the 'defects' and false advertising if you can even call it anything other than intentional punishment for whistleblowing at this point. Tampering with a witness is a 3rd degree Felony Federal Offense punishable by up to 5 years in Prison with a $5,000 fine. Photo attached. Almost everyday I have to restart the car while I'm driving because the car starts playing songs that are mean, discriminatory, or out right telling me to "Kill yourself on the beach" and "You can't sit here". While I'm driving I'm forced to restart the car to regain control of my instrument cluster which when resetting while driving you basically lose all features of the car minus steering gas and brake. The sentry mode isn't recording, the indicators aren't working, there is no speedometer or navigation, all safety features are disabled. It's the perfect time to commit a crime, no evidence except my iphone dashcam and anyone else around. I have to sometime do this with children in the car because the radio keeps cursing and I can't change the song. This car is a haunted death trap and I have entered pre-arbitration with Tesla but they have not responded. I have a lawfirm on standby that has offices in FL, CA and TX. They want my 10,000 gigabytes of EVIDENCE bad unlike NHTSA. That's because they are fascists and trying to cover this up. He also bought Twitter as part of this coverup. I talked about it in my podcast about 3 years ago that's still on YouTube. This is all premeditated torture and attempted murder. Here's the video (PS I intentionally don't monetize my IG so its evidence not acting: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CrN7GEPLYh_/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D
Passenger side rear seatbelt has a faulty latch. Latch will disengage spontaneously. Passenger rear seat belt disengaged. Child safety car seat tipped over. Child encountered minor injuries.
While using adaptive cruise control on a highway about every 30 miles or so the car would suddenly slam on the brakes. The speed limits on these highways were between 65-75 miles per hour. There was not anything in the road or vehicles in front of our car. It was very scary and distracting for the driver and passengers. If a car or truck had been following closer to our vehicle we could have been in a bad accident. The day was sunny and clear so there wasn’t any weather to have caused these issues or cause the cameras to be blocked.
Same fatal error I've been reporting for over 6 months and about 10 "OVER THE AIR UPDATES" Yes we all really 'NEEDED' more ways to make fart and poop sounds and open our rainbow LED [XXX] by voice command BUT WHAT ID REALLY LIKE IS FOR LITERALLY ANYONE IN ALL OF AMERICA TO DO THEIR JOB! Maybe if someone would do an investigation into to how much FRAUD there is at literally every level of Tesla from the very top all the way to the pathetic worms at the bottom that somehow find the one vertebrae they have left to continue lying to protect the bank account of a lying megalomaniac. Maybe they would investigate how Tesla vehicles can be used as remote operated drones to kamakazi themselves and kill anyone in the vehicle you don't like or even worse they could hack it thru the radio and use it to crash into literally anyone on the road as described by [XXX] himself and the FBI when asked about drone technology. I mean if [XXX] is allowed to spy on all of planet earth without their consent, freeze their car radio, miss every auto payment for 8 months, keep your car in an overflow lot for 3 days on hidden camera and never work on it once 5 times, make your car stop on the highway 50 time, stop your car from charging at home with your own charger in your own house then why does anyone follow any rules? Why don't we all just go out in the street and rob and kill and rape anyone whos dumb enough to believe that a car can drive itself? Really tho why do I even bother doing any of this everyone on the internet just calls me a stupid, fat, [XXX], [XXX], [XXX] fan,[XXX]. So like why would you EVER buy a Tesla. It's made by SLAVES FOR F SAKE! I'm a slave for Uber, Tesla and Apple. Slavery is real. I lost $28,000 last year doing 1,000 Uber and Lyft rides in an electric car that's supposed to save money on gas but actually costs more than gas if you use a supercharger. Worst purchase in my entire life by far. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cq-10appVGM/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMAT
I feel Tesla is building cars with non-standard parts and structural issues. 1.I bought a new car and started hearing brakes noises from 6000 miles where as previous car brakes rotors were good till 70k miles. 2.Within 9000 miles, driver side door, A pillar, B pillar, rear seats, display panel has to be either insulated or replaced. I am not sure how this effects car value or vehicle integrity going forward.
Car slamming on breaks multiples times while in cruise control. No obstacles ahead and we could have been rear ended
The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH the vehicle control display had frozen. The contact said she had no information on the display, the contact said that there was no warning light. The contact stated that when she had started the vehicle her husband's cell phone was synced to the vehicle computer systems and would not recognize her cell phone. The contact stated that when the control screen froze her husband's phone was still showing as linked to the computer system. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed and had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
My Car while on Cruise Control on Freeways on road trips has suddenly braked over 22 times with no cars I front of me. It’s scary and almost causing accidents wirh cars behind me. I am taking car to tesla next week, but this issue has continued over and over
Recall No. 23V-085 weeks ago, my car is currently stuck on an old software version (2022.44.30.10) and is not receiving OTA updates from Tesla. I've contacted Tesla's service center and their customer support line multiple times. They've instructed me to email an address (earlyaccess@tesla.com) to be removed from the FSD Beta program which I have done 5+ times. I believe this to be an unreasonable amount of time for them to remedy what should be something simple, and think they should be held accountable for continuing to violate the safety recall violation.
Car making sudden braking moves while on trip using cruise control. I tried several different lanes and actions but braking persisted and cruise control discontinued. No damage or injury. Tesla has known phantom braking problem braking. We were at risk to be rear ended. I will contact Tesla next.
•Water leak from under the dash (potential electrical hazard) (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) •Window regulator malfunctions (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) •Front suspension noise (potential handling issue) (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) •Persistent rattle or squeak (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) •Autopilot failures and power steering issues (including excessive vibration and unexpected braking) (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) •Constant noise and vibration (AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION) *Autopilot failures and power steering issues (including excessive vibration and unexpected braking): This can lead to a loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident. *Water leak from under the dash (potential electrical hazard): If water damages electrical components, it could cause the car to stall or malfunction while driving. *Front suspension noise (potential handling issue): A failing suspension system could compromise the vehicle's handling, making it more difficult to control during maneuvers or emergencies. **has been submitted for repairs at a Tesla maintenance center on multiple occasions." This suggests Tesla has acknowledged the issues and attempted to fix them. ***For Concerning Behavior: Autopilot Failures: The Autopilot system unexpectedly disengaged or made erratic maneuvers while engaged. False Object Detection: The Autopilot camera system falsely detected objects on the road, leading to unnecessary braking or swerving ***For Warning Lights: It is particularly concerning that these issues were not accompanied by any warning lights on the dashboard.
In a 1 minute clip I captured how the Tesla constantly misses collision warnings and/or assistance while all safety features are turned on because the car misses the first collision warning and then goes off early on the second scenario with the same car and driver in front of my passenger and I. It's dangerously inconsistent and this is the third passenger on Lyft this week this has happened to and the passenger verified as a witness to the event in each example without any sort of coercion. Without the LiDAR the Tesla makes constant mis-judgements it never should have been removed. Last night I traveled down 429 West and had the same issue with the car reducing to 0mph like it has been for several months but this time I didn't let the car slow down all the way before canceling and leaving Tesla a nice explanation in my best Forrest Gump impression soundtrack was playing. I said "Life is like Tesla FSD, you never know if your cars gonna stop on the highway". What's the point in the voice recording if the error isn't corrected? To make me FEEL like something is being done? Everyone in person and online keeps telling me to just sell the car. Well I would if I could afford to but now I'm stuck between paying my overpriced car bill or driving the overpriced car that keeps failing at its job and almost causing tons of accidents. Thank God I have a dashcam otherwise I bet Tesla would say I'm drunk or something to cover their own butts! Hate to break it to ya but I don't drink that's all just bad programming and sensors. You can see once again the person behind us has to switch lanes last second to avoid rear ending us. I wonder all day every day for the last year or so if anyone actually reads these countless reports I've filed or if they're just another corrupt official on the Elon Musk payroll lol. https://drive.google.com/file/d/18br6n1pK0x3sViSs-q8_aQDvj26n3JHO/view?usp=share_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NVhSTKwR6BaQ7gQV8Q6CjzYHpau2zvBs/view?usp=share_link
Rear passenger middle seat buckle was defective- just replaced by Tesla. Seatbelt buckle was stuck and after unlatching, was unable to get it back in; there was a 4 year old in a booster seat at the time of incident. Left rear passenger seatbelt may have also unlatched by itself last week while front facing booster seat was strapped in using the seatbelt. Had to reinstall car seat with latch, despite child exceeding 40lb. limit for latch use (Diono 3XRT).
Auto acceleration(forward) caused while parking and crashed into fence and utilities. Requested TESLA to diagonalize the cause of auto acceleration. Tesla couldn't handle my request well and they canceled and delayed my request, finally, they rejected my request as the car was salvaged.
1. Phantom Braking occurring often and no release date for firmware update. Not sure how to avoid rear end collision even when attentive. 2. Inaccurate speed limits, forward collision warnings, inaccurate green light chimes. 3. Autowiper which is working for other manufacturers over decade is beta in tesla. Previous 5 service center visits confirm as working and in 6th visit they say as beta. This is cheating customers. Using display screen to control frequency is distraction in wet roads.
I experience three incidents of phantom braking while on a recent trip. The car was on Autopilot (I do not have FSD), on an open road with zero cars in sight. Two were incidents where the car went from 69 MPH to 50 MPH for no reason. The third was even more severe when the car went to 30 MPH from 70 MPH. The incident was reported to Tesla and their response after diagnosing remotely is as follows: "There are no hardware issues with your car. At the times provided your vehicle detected another vehicle in the lane which was the source of the slow down. There are known limitations of Autopilot at this time. The performance of Autopilot will be improved over time. Currently, Autopilot may react more conservatively than a human driver in situations where it is thought an object may be entering your vehicle’s path. It is more desirable to have a false positive than a false negative.” I want to reiterate once again there were ZERO cars in sight when this happened. Dates for these events were on March 31, 2023 and April 1, 2023.
My 2022 Tesla Model Y suddenly stopped on the road with a message on the screen saying “Pullover safely Vehicle Shutting Down”, but the car stopped immediately and would not move. Another error came up saying “Rear motor disabled”. The sudden stopping was very dangerous, and it could have been life threatening had it been on a highway. Luckily for us, I was just pulling the car back from our driveway, but more than half of my car was on the road when the car stopped suddenly with the error message. I can’t imagine what could have happened had I been on a highway with or without Auto Pilot. We are all very disturbed by this experience as the car just suddenly stopped. Tesla is not safe on the road with this problem. Battery was at 235miles left and the car is in great condition otherwise having driven only 8K miles. Car had to be towed to the service center, but next Tesla service appointment shows almost a month later.
The problem I will describe has been noted over several months, but I will focus on events observed today, March 31, 2023. I was driving from Salt Lake City to Reno, NV on Interstate 80. Weather conditions were partly cloudy, 40-55F, dry roads, light traffic. While driving at highway speeds of 70-80 Mph using the cars adaptive cruise, the car would repeatedly brake sharply and almost violently, causing me to hit the brake pedal to remove the vehicle from cruise for fear of being rearended. This generally occurred when there was no traffic in front of me, with perfectly clear roads, no debris or obstructions if any kind. The car also braked slightly during this drive, dropping speed maybe 10-15 mph before resuming. These abrupt and inexplicable braking incidents occurred so frequently, probably 20 times or so, that I stopped using cruise control for fear of an accident. This has not yet been reported to Tesla, and has not been investigated. However, I wanted to report this because I feel it is an extreme safety hazard.
Here's front and rear with audio of the Tesla failing to trigger a collision warning or assistance with passengers in the car during a Lyft ride. There should be a loud beep paired with some braking assistance but most of the time neither work or they work when they shouldn't. If my car actually got the miles range I paid for and actually charged as fast as they advertise I wouldn't be at home filling out these reports. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, so I squeak, squeak, squeak! https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Hvhf2eT8--XljxWKTaRqxqsqQYvdzp8/view?usp=share_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/13onkPVSEXT4OJxitVmckx5fRzT_yx17d/view?usp=share_link
During my driving shift on Lyft my first ride was right next to me at the medical clinic when I accepted the ride but Lyft sent me 10 minutes away to park in the middle of a median facing a memorial for a car crash victim (while playing Stan by Eminem about a fan being killed in a car accident after no one gets his letters(On Tesla Radio which has been proven to be hackable and I have reported to NHTSA before)). She gives me directions; I accept the ride then drive 10 minutes back to where I accepted the ride in the first place. The gps location for Lyft is over a mile off, after a couple minutes of scanning parking lots for people I've never met I find them at the health clinic (Lyft had deleted her directions she sent me so I was going off memory from the phone call). We start talking and it turns out they are currently in a lawsuit against Lyft. On the way to their destination (which was also wrong by several miles and required their directions) the Husband and I start noticing really aggressive drivers around us then all of a sudden the car in front of us hit the brakes short notice and zero of the cars collision warnings and safety precautions worked because there is clearly no audible sound. I have the sounds enabled I also have since day 1 because that's why I bought this car, for safety. Luckily for me I said nothing until the passenger mentioned that they braked too hard, I did a good job reacting and they agree there was no collision warning once I explained to them that the Tesla is supposed to do that but it rarely works when it should and goes off all the time for overly dramatic reasons. It's like Elon himself hacked my car and made it a clown car as described by himself in his own tweets. Upon the riders request I have released the entire recording to them via cloud server for use only with my written consent. They will be forwarding it to their attorney who is currently representing them so I would think twice about using 'kid gloves' on Tesla now on
Same issue I've been reporting several months. This morning I downloaded yet another software update, got in my car, drove to Chick-fil-a on a Sunday because Tesla has not fixed this fatal braking bug on the highway for a non-existent round-a-bout so I use that for the car to navigate to. The car tries to get on the state road instead of the highway so I cancel and take over and drive onto the highway/expressway myself. After a couple miles the FSD finally takes over in a 70mph zone and reduces my speed to 45mph and stays at 45mph while passing several 70mph signs it clearly sees in its own 'Tesla vision' on the map in AR(Augmented reality). I cancel and speed back up to 70 before the next overpass where the car puts its hazards on, pulls into the slow lane, says it's executing a round-a-bout. Comes to a complete stop on the highway with hazards while in the travel lane, cars whipping past me on the driver side. Then the car starts yelling at me to grab the wheel which I've never let go of during this entire event so I shake the wheel vigorously left and right and the car does not process that I'm holding the wheel (This is so Tesla can commit fraud when they blame it on the driver and buy more time because NHTSA rules aren't up-to-date on software patches and NHTSA needs to just recall all FSD because Tesla has displayed inability to repair) THEN to add the cherry on top while the car is stopped on the highway, yelling at me to pay attention while I'm shaking the wheel; I press the door open button and my door opens into the fast lane; allowing the (inattentive driver) to unconsciously fall onto the highway in the fast lane at 0mph while not in drive. I have been reporting these vulnerabilities for months specifically the bluetooth radio vulnerability that was just proven in a hacking competition where Tesla awarded a new car and $350,000 for a vulnerability I was reporting 6 months before. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11KURZKFfS4axS21PqYd_urDZLcHTuOzP/view
I was stopped at a light, and I as I continued my trip after the green. I had put the car in auto pilot. As I approached the curve there deer to my left that got my attention. The vehicle didn't follow the road, nor did it announce with any warnings, or lane assists that the vehicle was departing the lane. Impact was made into a broken guard rail. Guard Rail impaled the vehcile from the left side into the cabin impacting my left leg causing serious injuries.
On March 23rd and most recently the car while on cruise control with no cars infront of me emergency (phantom breaking).
Hello, me again! So I downloaded the newest software update and in less than 24 hours and less than 1 hour of using 'Full Self Driving' and 'Auto Pilot' before the car tried to kill me and other people as usual. Same road I've been reporting for months 429 Eastbound and Westbound (Sanford FL) the car will confuse 429 with SR46 (1,000ft north) and when it gets to any of the overpasses with round-a-bouts underneath the bridge the car starts to stop on the highway (0mpg in a 70mph zone). This is absolutely terrifying; what's even more terrifying is that Tesla is claiming the cars FSD works on 'Artificial Intelligence' but that is a LIE because the car and Tesla have not learned from my many reports and have made zero changes. The only good change they made was my suggestion to Tesla in one of my many complaints about this lemon car they ripped me off on is allowing me to send them a 10 second voice clip describing what went wrong in the car (which once again was my idea) when actually using it sometimes my heartrate is still so high from cars whipping past me 70mph while I'm going 0mph that its hard to even articulate in words what happened so quickly; assuming Tesla even reviews the report and makes changes which they haven't for about 6 months of me reporting it. Car still tries to drive me off road over a transformer at home that is clearly visible on Tesla gps map which could turn the car into a bomb (so I was told by an Uber passenger who works on transformers and was leaving an OSHA meeting about a transformer blowing up on him and his coworkers). 9/10 times it's right but I know its not truly 'Intelligent' because why would it ever revert to a path I've canceled so many times? I'm calling Tesla's bluff and also they deleted me after applying to the AI Engineer job posting on their website when I started reporting these errors because Tesla doesn't really care about their customers like me. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Jk4oLzgfERV0DaSpHygCn60Anj2Xq_a/view
Bought a brand new Tesla model Y with 11 miles on it. 1 mile down the road it tells me to “pull over immediately” “reduced power” I was going 45 mph downhill and thankfully not a lot of cars around. I pulled over and it said reduced power, exit and enter vehicle to restore operation. I did and it worked fine. I drove home with no problems for 25 miles. An hour later I was headed somewhere else and stopped at a light, when it was green I accelerated then it did the same thing but I was on an entrance ramp to a bridge and 5 cars were behind me. The car then was in reduced power mode and told me to do the same thing again, exit then re-enter. It was busy traffic and took me 5 minutes to get out when there were no cars going past me. It reduced power and couldn’t excelerate and caused a dangerous situation. This happened 3 more times while I was on the phone with Tesla support before I had to wait 2.5 hours for a tow with 47 miles on it.
This isn't another case of the Auto Pilot being engaged and the driver not paying attention. I was driving, in the rain, on a normal road surface, with both hands on the wheel. The car attempted to steer away and out of my lane when there wasn't an obstacle or any other hazard near me. My hand went from the 10 and 2 o'clock positions to the 11 and 3 o'clock position before it straightened back out. Because of this abrupt movement that the car made, the rear end of the car lost traction and spun around on me before the car came to a stop. Fortunately, no one else was hit during this accident. By looking at the Dashcam video, the car does show brakes were applied before spinning out of control but this wasn't by my input. I feel that the car made a descision for me that I had no control of. The car was not on Auto Pilot but yet still steered for me. Accident report indicates no issues with road surface, no speeding, and no citations.
I saw [XXX] on Twitter recommending a woman put her children or dogs inside his cars with overheat protection on however I have been recording and reporting this fatal error for several months and they have NOT corrected it. The car has overheat set at 100F I routinely screenshot the car reaching 130F (assuming the cars thermometer is even accurate) this is hot enough to kill basically ANY living thing. My baby, dead. Dog, dead. It was only 82F outside so I'm going to call BS on the 'tempered glass' that 'repels over 90% heat' the car is a fishbowl/greenhouse. So if my car doesn't kill me, my family and those around me 'Full Self Driving' it will kill your kids and pets while you run errands because you trusted a melomaniac. And if that doesn't kill you everyone who hates [XXX] and Tesla will routinely bully you on the road too because apparently there isn't a single person in ALL of the entire USA government who isn't a total puppy for [XXX]. Not to mention Tesla just awarded some hackers $350,000 and a new car for hacking a model 3's radio to take over the car when I've been reporting this exact exploit to NHTSA and FBI for months. Many times my car has played insulting music and not allowed me to change it, the car often driving with a mind of its own towards fatal crashes that would kill me if I didn't disengage every 2 minutes (that's being generous when not on a highway). "YOU [XXX] [XXX] I AINT [XXX] WITH YOU!" "IVE GOT A MILLION OTHER THINGS I'd RATHER [XXX] DO, THAN BE [XXX] WITH YOU; LITTLE [XXX]! I DON'T GIVE A [XXX]!" I have all this on video. Tesla harassed me when I reported it to them. The first photo is this month the second photo is in August last year. Phantom breaking on autopilot. Car experienced sudden breaking from approximately 80mph to 30 mph.
Car randomly slams on the brakes while cruise control is active. Happen most frequently mid-day while the sun is out. Most frequent when coming over and overpass or small hill on the interstate. ~5 time in a day and of travel. Brake are apply and vehicle slows from 80 to sometime as slow as 60 in a couple seconds. No visible hazards or vehicle on the road at the time. Very scary and dangerous. Contacted Tesla about it and they said a software update would fix it, still happening since I purchase last June and reported in July.

Getting flat tire or leak in tires since day one. There is a gap between tire and rim edge and whenever i drive over a road bump or railroad tracks rims cut into tire and get flat tire. Been to tesla service center 3 times already each time they charge me for service and tires. Yesterday they changed a tire and this morning that exact tire got flat again. Towed to tesla service center and they wont accept the fault and charged me again another 432$.. tire getting blown daili
My Tesla model Y reports that cameras are blocked or blinded nearly every trip. This happens day or night, and seems to be related to condensation in front of the camera. There is no other condensation in the vehicle; and there is nothing I can do to remedy this. I have brought it to the service center multiple times. On the last visit, the manager informed me that this is a known/common issue and that there is no current repair available. When this occurs, it either disables autopilot which can be alarming/distracting, or stops it from being enabled. Assumedly multiple safety features are disabled while the vehicle is in this state. I can provide additional documentation if required. The image supplied is from the last trip to the repair center.
This has been an ongoing problem with our car. While using cruise control it will randomly slam on the brakes for no reason. Nothing is around us it just instantly takes the car from 75 to 60 without warning. It happened multiple times to us over the past few days. Luckily I am nervous about using cruise control in this car so I had my foot on the gas but it did happen with a semi behind us. I was able to manually correct the problem myself quickly but it could have been very bad. These cars are going to kill someone if Tesla doesn't fix this problem soon. So far they have not cared about fixing this problem at all.
On Saturday, 3/4/2023, I stopped at a supercharger lot to charge my car during a trip. As I entered the lot, I noticed that the road conditions were poor, almost like a gravel road. To be cautious, I drove slowly towards the three empty parking spaces in the middle of the lot, intending to park in the middle spot. I noticed that the road conditions were even worse in front of the parking spot, but it looked wide and not too deep, so I didn't think it warranted serious concern. I carefully maneuvered the car around to prepare for backing up. I've been using the HOLD braking mode, which allows for one-pedal driving, for more than five months. Just as I lifted my foot off the accelerator, the car jerked forward from a small pothole. I still expected the car to come to a stop, as my foot wasn't touching the pedal. I made a comment to my passenger that I was puzzled why the car was still moving as I looked down at my foot far above the pedals. Suddenly, there was a really loud sound (like revving if I remember correctly) that I had never heard before, which surprised both me and my passenger. We exchanged a puzzled look just as the car suddenly jumped forward at full power and hit the car in front of us before I could do anything to stop it. I believe that this was a software issue related to overcompensation of losing traction control on both sides as the car came to a stop. It's important to note that I did not purchase Tesla's Full Self Driving and was not using any driving assistance features at the time of the accident. In addition, I believe you can request more data from Tesla. I do not have access to the camera recording of interior scene. Luckily, both me and my passenger as well as the two people in the front seats in the other vehicle (also same white Tesla Model Y) were not injured. I can't get Tesla insurance to even investigate the accident. After the accident, I noticed that the Tesla App reported that Automatic Emergency Brake is disabled (only occur)
Periodically while using cruise control, most often on toll lanes with a different speed limit than the non-toll lanes, the car slows down rapidly and unpredictably. There are no warnings, and the braking is can be quite considerable (10-15 mph). This only happens when using cruise control.
The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated while driving 45-50 MPH, a vehicle at a 28 ft. distance from him slammed on the brakes. The contact then depressed the brake pedal but the vehicle failed to respond and crashed into the rear of the other occupied vehicle. The forward collision sensor warning light then illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. There was no police report filed. The contact was able to continue driving. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
Phantom braking with Autopilot (adaptive cruise) engaged. 8 hard braking incidents on 300 mile trip. 3 hard braking incidents on the return. Not all incidents can be explained by shadows, bridges or other vehicles. Braking occurred without warning on the interstate with near maximum brake being applied by the vehicle. It is very dangerous to pass a vehicle, have another car trailing you, and then have then have maximum braking with no warning or reason. The incident was reported to Tesla service, but Tesla provided no immediate solution. They stated that the software would improve over time.
The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway at approximately 5 mph when they suddenly crashed a parked vehicle behind them because the backup prevention system failed to activate. There were no warning lights. No air bag deployed. The contact received no injuries or medical attention. The parked vehicle's door had been damaged. The contact's vehicle had paint removed from the vehicle and a slight dent. No police report was filed. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.
I was driving my Tesla Model Y on 02-26-2022 with my wife in the passenger seat. We were on our way to pick up our son and his two friends from the movie theater in Lincoln Square North, Bellevue Square, Washington. As we entered the Lincoln Square parking garage approximately around 6 30pm and turned into the narrow passage leading down to the several floors of parking lots at approximately 5 miles an hour, the Tesla on its own, and to my alarm and surprise suddenly picked up tremendous speed and went careening down the parking driveway and slammed to a stop into the concrete boundary of the Pillar on parking level P2. The distance travelled from start to finish was to the best of my very rough guesstimate 60ft to 70 ft. My repeated attempts at slamming the brakes did not stop the car. The airbags deployed. •With the impact the car was completely totaled •The front right wheel broke free and hit the rear fender of a car parked in the Parking Garage in P2. - No one in the parking garage was impacted My wife was in great pain and very shaken. She was helped out of the car by a good Samaritan. Lincoln Square security reached us almost immediately. We called 911 and the fire brigade and police came to the accident site within minutes. The police inspected the vehicle and filed a case report. Post the accident, I took my wife to the ER. She was badly bruised with the impact of the air bags and seat belt restraint. We continue to get treated to manage the pain and the bruising. The experience was a horrific one and my wife has been badly impacted …it will take time for her to begin driving again. We have not been contacted by Tesla regarding this accident as of March 9, 2023.
The contact owns a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The contact stated that the rearview camera would fail to turn on while reversing. The contact stated that the failure had been occurring intermittently. The contact stated while reversing, the failure reoccurred, causing the vehicle to crash into the rear of another vehicle. There were no injuries sustained. The contact was able to continue driving. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,500.
While I was driving on the freeway, the screen/display froze. I was unable to see how fast I was going. I was unable to use my blinkers. Basically just driving with know knowledge of my speed or if people tell if I was changing lanes. Then the screen rebooted as I was driving and everything went back to normal. Just very concerning.
Vehicle has less than 5,000 miles. On three separate dates, a sudden warning appears "Rear Motor Disabled; Avoid Steep Hills; If problem persists contact Service. There is an image of a turtle icon, and vehicle speed is limited. This happens with a gradual reduction, first to around 65, in a few minutes it drops to 37 mph. I had to drive several miles on a limited access turnpike with no exits at 37 mph, including crossing some bridges with no shoulder lane. I was very concerned about being rear ended in this situation. Information below is on the most recent incident which happened today.
I had just parked in a spot 30 feet in front of my clinic building. My foot was not on the brake nor accelerator — the car had stopped and was parked. Tidied my hair and was grabbing my purse placed on the passenger seat, the car seemed to “surge” and suddenly ACCELLERATED QUICKLY straight toward the sliding glass doors toward my medical clinic building! I screamed, dropped everything and stepped as hard as I could on the brake. It stopped suddenly about 5 ft, onto the curb, in front of the doors. No damage (except for the scare!), so no reports. The AAA tow truck driver said he had seen this before in electric cars in his recent 3 months ( 4 out of 5 was Tesla; the other a Volkswagen), and that the black box can’t detect the surge because it’s electrical? Didn’t report it because no damage, no proof. Not looking for compensation, am not hurt (yet), but please look into this. I could’ve mowed down precious babies and children, mothers, doctors in my hospital pediatric clinic. I have heard 2 more incidents from a coworker and a family member (model 3 and S), so although my experts not recent, I cannot with clear conscience not report this. Please, please research this, lives are in your hand. Even if it is just one.
When we were driving on the highway at 75 mile speed with autopilot engaged, the car breaker suddenly from 75 to around 50 instantly. This happened twice in one hour. Fortunately, there were no vehicles behind us at that time.when complained to Tesla, they came back and said they did not see anything from their remote hardware diagnostics.
Both side view mirrors on my Tesla Y model, fold and open up on their own , while the car is in motion. It always happens In Algonquin, Illinois, close to the intersection of Rote 62 and route 25
A backup camera is required on all new cars. Tesla has a backup camera system comprising 3 views. When reverse gear is engaged, camera views should appear every time on the instrument display. On the first drive of a given day, the camera views are not properly visible until the car has been driving for a few minutes. Specifically, “night mode” on the infotainment display (effectively the instrument cluster) becomes stuck on dark colors and unreadably low brightness. When reversing during daylight hours, the screen is not bright enough to view the backup cameras. Additionally, audible cues for turn signals are inaudible. After about 1/4 mile of driving, the display “catches up” to day mode and responds with appropriate brightness. I believe the dysfunction of the system is a safety hazard to vehicle occupants, other drivers, and pedestrians. I have previously contacted Tesla service about this issue. I was told that the issue is related to software; nothing can be done; it will be fixed at a later, indeterminate date via software updates. The issue persists consistently and has no fix aside from a workaround.

The high-beam headlights are randomly turning on while city driving. The auto high-beam function is turned off, so high beams should not turn on. This affects the safety of the other cars around me. I typically drive in the city and using the high beams is not necessary because of dense traffic and available overhead street lights. This issue has not been confirmed by a dealer, service center, manufacturer, police, etc. There is no warning before the high-beams turn on. When they turn on, the blue high-beam indicator on the driver display does illuminate.
