TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED AND THERE WAS AN UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED WITH FORCE REPEATEDLY; YET, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN CAUSING IT TO CRASH INTO A BRICK BUILDING. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED A MINOR WHIPLASH INJURY; AND SUSTAINED BRUISES ON THE RIGHT FOOT. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. THERE WAS ALSO MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.
2007 CAMRY SE BURNING OIL ON ENGINE. DEALER ADVISED I WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE AT A COST OF $7200 TO REPLACE. DEALER ADVISED TO CHECK OIL EVERY 1000 MILE. ALTHOUGH I DON'T SEE OIL LEAKS, I AM HAVING TO ADD OIL EVERY 1000 MILES. DEALER'S SERVICE TECH ATTRIBUTED IT TO NOT GETTING THE OIL CHANGES, HOWEVER, I HAVE SERVICE RECORDS TO PROVE OTHERWISE AS DEALER MAINTAINED BY 3 TOYOTA DEARLERS. WITH 115K MILES AND STILL MAKING PAYMENTS, DEALER ADVISED NEW ENGINE, GASKET AND SEALS WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I AM LEARNING OF OTHER 07 CAMRY OWNERS WITH SAME PROBLEM. *TR
I HIT A BMW. I WAS CHANGING THE STATION IN MY CAR AND WHEN I LOOKED UP I WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE BMW TO SUCCESSFULLY STOP BEFORE HITTING THEM. AS A RESULT, BECAUSE THE BMW WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED, A DOMINO EFFECT OCCURRED IN THAT THE TWO CARS IN FRONT OF THE BMW WERE ALSO HIT. THE DAMAGE TO THE BMW, THE CAR I DIRECTLY HIT, WAS A BACK BUMPER THAT WAS SLIGHTLY DE-ATTACHED FROM THE CAR (MODERATE DAMAGE) AND A THE FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED. THE AIRBAG IN THE BMW DEPLOYED. MY AIRBAG DID NOT. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IN 2008 WHERE I WAS REAR-ENDED. AGAIN, AT THE RATE I WAS HIT, MY CAR'S AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS IS THE SECOND TOYOTA THAT I HAVE BOUGHT WHERE THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I WORRY THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CAR'S SENSORS.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE. THE INSIDE GRIPS OF THE SUN VISOR HAVE BROKEN APART OR WARPED AND NOW THE VISOR CONTINUES TO DROP DOWN IN FRONT OF THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKING FULL VIEW OF THE ROAD WHICH COULD CAUSE A HAZARD. I ACCIDENTALLY RAN A RED STOP LIGHT BECAUSE THE VISOR DROPPED DOWN IN FRONT OF ME. THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL HOLD THE VISOR IN PLACE UNLESS I PHYSICALLY HOLD IT UP WITH MY HAND UNTIL I REACH MY DESTINATION. AT FIRST, THE SUN VISOR WOULD SQUEAK WHEN OPENING OR CLOSING UNTIL ONE DAY IT JUST WOULD NOT CLOSE BACK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CAMRY HYBRID. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 65 MPH WHEN THE BRAKE WARNING, VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL WARNING AND SYSTEM CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, CAUSING AN ABNORMAL INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE. THE CONTACT BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP FOR A FEW MOMENTS AND AS HE RESUMED DRIVING, THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED BUT DID NOT PRODUCE ANY FAILURE CODES. THE DEALER ALSO TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,217 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,300.
WE HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. FOR NO REASON THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR FLOPS DOWN CAUSING A VISIBILITY HAZARD. DEALER CLAIMS THIS IS RARE, INTERNET SHOWS OTHERWISE. REPAIR COSTS $140 FOR REPLACEMENT. I FEEL POOR MANUFACTURER DESIGN AS THERE IS NOTHING BROKEN. I ALSO FEEL IT SHOULD BE RECALLED. THIS IS MY 19TH VEHICLE AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A SUN VISOR ISSUE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WOULD FLIP DOWNWARDS WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I WAS DRIVING DON'T REMEMBER THE DATE BUT EARLY PART OF THIS YEAR THE VISOR ON THE DRIVER JUST DROP ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. IT STARTED LIKE GETTING HARD TO SNAP BACK IN PLACE AT FIRST BUT JUST DROP. THE VISOR ON PASSENGER SIDE DID THE SAME THING BOUT TWO WEEK LATER TOOK IT TODEALER HE TOLD ME IT WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO WASN'T A RECALL SO I HAD TO PAY FOR IT. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE NO JOB AND NO VISOR. THIS CAR WAS NEW WHEN I BOUGHT IT IN THE LAST OF 2009,WITH 307 MILES. AND IT NOTHING CAN BE DONE I SEE ALL THESE OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS ON THIS GOV.SITE AND NOTHING BEEN DONE YET I GUESS SOMEONE GOT TO GET HURT OR KILL FIRST. WHY HASN'T IT BEEN A RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. *TR
THE DASHBOARD STARTED TO GET STICKY AND COME APART. IT ALSO CAUSED A GLARE WHEN DRIVING IN THE DAYTIME. IT HAS INCREASINGLY GOTTEN WORSE. *TR
HYBRID BATTERY DOESN'T TURN ON IF VEHICLE IS NOT TURNED ON WITHIN A WEEK. WHEN I TURN THE HEATER ON, INSIDE THE CAR SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, RECEIVED LETTER FROM TOYOTA COMPANY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPLACED. *TR
DROVE SLOWLY AT AROUND 25MPH IN A VERY COLD DAY (16 DEGREE). WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR THE BRAKE WAS IN A LOCKED POSITION (CAN'T PRESSED IT DOWN) AND MY CAR HIT THE CAR IN FRONT AND THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE I COULD DO.

2007 CAMRY INDIGO BLUE PAINT SCRATCHES. UNDER EACH ENTRY DOOR HANDLE THERE ARE TONS OF SCRATCHES, AS IF YOU HAVE MANY RINGS ON YOUR FINGERS SCRATCHING THE PAINT. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN 2007 AND THIS ISSUE PRESENTED ITSELF FROM THE BEGINNING. IT'S LIKE THE TOP LAYER OF PAINT WILL NOT STAY ON BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE PRIMER LAYER RIGHT UNDER THE BLUE PAINT SCRATCHES. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM (HID) FOR MY 2007 TOYOTA SOLARA SPORT 4CYL HAS BEEN TURNING OFF. I'M UNSURE IF THIS IS THE SIGN OF THE BULB GOING OUT OR IF IT IS SIMPLY SHUTTING OFF. IT COMES BACK ON AND HAS BEEN WORKING, THEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. *LN
THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR IN THE 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY BEGIN WITH A CLICKING NOISE WHEN CHANGING THE POSITION OF THE VISOR FROM UP TO DOWN. NOW THE VISOR IS LOSING THE ABILITY TO STAY IN THE UP POSITION. THIS DEFECT CAUSES A MAJOR BLOCKAGE IN THE ABILITY TO SEE THE ROADWAY AHEAD. AT THIS POINT IN TIME NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN AND ONGOING PROBLEM FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, BUT IN JANUARY THE SUN VISOR ONTHE PASSENGER SIDE COMPLETELY FELL DOWN AND BLOCKS MY VIEW. I CAN NOT GET THE VISOR TO RETURN TO THE UP POSITION. I HAVE TRIED TO FIND OUT HOW TO FIX IT, BUT TO NO AVAIL SHORT OF PURCHASING A NEW VISOR AND HAVING IT INSTALLED. I HAVE OWNED TOYOTAS SINCE 1981 AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE OTHER VEHICLES NO MATTER HOW OLD. THIS ONE MYSTERIOUSLY FAILED COMPLETELY AROUND 55K MILES. *TR
THE AIRBAG COVER ON THE WINDSHIELD POST WAS INSTALLED WITH A DEFECTIVE/AND OR DAMAGED CLIP. THE AIRBAG COVER WAS LOOSE AND COULD HAVE BEEN SNAGGED BY A PASSENGER,ETC. AND COME OFF AT ANY TIME. THE TOYOTA DEALER MAINTAINED THAT THESE COVERS WERE JUST COSMETIC AND THAT I COULD DRIVE WITHOUT COVERS AND THE CAR WOULD STILL BE COMPLETELY SAFE. I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE IT THAT WAY SO I PAID THE DEALER $ 71.78 FOR PARTS AND LABOR TO REPLACE THEIR DEFECTIVE PART. I WANT TO KNOW WHO AT TOYOTA WOULD WANT TO DRIVE A CAR ON OUR FREEWAYS WITH A COMPROMISED AIR BAG SYSTEM IN THAT CONDITION? *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,800.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED, AND THE DRIVERS SIDE AXLE BROKE; AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE PASSENGER SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DECLARED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A REPORT WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER WHO DECIDED TO INVESTIGATE WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 49,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, THE STEERING LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT, WENT OFF THE ROAD AND HIT A TREE. UPDATED 01/23/12
WE BOUGHT THIS 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID IN JANUARY 2007. I STARTED NOTICING THE DASHBOARD BEGAN TO GET STICKY AND SHINY. I'VE NEVER USED ANY HARSH CHEMICALS OR ANY CHEMICALS USED TO CLEAN THE DASHBOARD. THE REST OF THE CAR IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF BUT AS THE YEARS WENT BY, THE DASHBOARD HAS JUST GOTTEN WORSE. I BEGAN DOING RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT OTHERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. MANY HAVE BEEN TOLD IT'S NOT PART OF THE WARRANTY. I BELIEVE IT'S A MANUFACTURE'S DEFECT. NOT ONLY IS IT DIRTY LOOKING, IT ALSO HAS A SHINE TO IT AND THAT HAS POTENTIAL TO BE VERY DANGEROUS. ESPECIALLY ON A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY, THE SHINE FROM THE DASHBOARD REFLECTS UP TO THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND THE SAME ISSUE ARISES WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VISOR ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
THE OIL BAFFLE IN MY 2007 CAMRY HAS TRASHED THE ENGINE AND TOYOTA REFUSES TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE MY CAR IS COUPLE OF THOUSAND MILES PAST THE WARRANTY AND THEY ARE ASKING FOR 8,000 FOR A NEW ENGINE. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM STILL MAKING PAYMENT FOR THIS CAR AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT FOR THE PAST MONTH AND DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT. *TT

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HV. WHILE DRIVING 2 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD ROARING SOUND AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE VEHICLE STOPPED WHEN IT CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE JANUARY 17, 2011. THE CONTACT STATED BOTH RECALLS 09V388000 AND 10V017000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL: ACCELERATOR PEDAL) WERE PERFORMED IN 2010. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CAMRY HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE CHECK VSC, BRAKE AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND SHUT IT OFF. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A CRASH COULD HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR SUDDENLY BROKE, OBSTRUCTING VIEW WHILE DRIVING. THE VISOR WILL NO LONGER RETURN TO THE UPRIGHT POSITION AND FLOPS TOWARD THE DRIVER. I AM AFRAID IN AN ACCIDENT I MIGHT SLAM MY HEAD DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN VISOR, SO I THINK THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. CONTACTED THE DEALER, AND THEY WANT $260 TO REPLACE WITH THE SAME VISOR. LOOKING ONLINE, THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM, AND I SHOULD EXPECT THE REPLACEMENT TO BREAK AS WELL, INCLUDING THE PASSENGER SIDE EVENTUALLY. PLEASE ASK FOR A SAFETY RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT! IN THE MEANTIME I INTEND TO REMOVE THE VISOR AND JUST DRIVE WITHOUT ONE AS THERE IS NO SAFE REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE AND TOYOTA HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE ISSUE DESPITE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE. JUST GOOGLE TOYOTA SUN VISOR PROBLEM AND YOU WILL SEE SEVERAL MODELS WITH THIS MANUFACTURING DEFECT. *TR
HELLO, I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WILL FLOP DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY CAUSING A VISIBILITY ISSUE. THE DEALER WANTS $120 TO REPLACE. AT 59,000 MILES, THE CHECK VS SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON, AS WELL AS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALER. AT THE TIME, I STILL HAD THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THEY REPLACED "BANK 2" IGNITION COIL AND CHARGED ME $100 DEDUCTIBLE. AT 70,528 MILES THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED. CHECK VSC SYSTEM AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AT THE TIME, STILL UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BAD # 6 COIL. THEY CHARGED ME THE $100 DEDUCTIBLE. AT 90,000 MILES (NOW) THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS. I AM ASSUMING IT IS ANOTHER BAD IGNITION COIL. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE 2007 CAMRY'S IGNITION COILS. I CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP REPLACING IGNITION COILS BY A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, ESPECIALLY NOW THAT MY CAR IS NOT UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. I ALSO HAD TOYOTA REPLACE CLIPS ON THE AIR BAG COVER ON PASSENGER SIDE IN 2008. THE PART STILL SAGS. IT IS DEFECTIVE. IT IS IN THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT I BROUGHT IT IN AT LEAST TWICE FOR THE SAGGING AIR BAG COVER. THE NEW CLIPS DID NOT FIX IT. *TR
SUN VISOR BECAME LOOSE AND WILL NOT STAY IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. FIRST VISOR TO FAIL WAS PASSENGER SIDE, WHICH DID POSE A VISIBILITY ISSUE, BUT NOT TOO SEVERE. TRIED TO DUCT TAPE IT IN UPRIGHT POSITION, BUT IT WILL NOT HOLD. THEN, JUST YESTERDAY, THE DRIVER'S SIDE FAILED, WHICH DEFINITELY CAUSES A VISIBILITY ISSUE WHEN THE VISOR WON'T STAY UP, OR DROPS DOWN IN YOUR FACE, OR HITS YOU IN THE HEAD ON IT'S WAY DOWN, ONLY TO HANG IN YOUR VIEW WHILE DRIVING, AND NOT EFFECTIVELY BLOCK THE SUN WHEN YOU NEED IT TO. A FRIEND THAT OWNS A 2010 CAMRY ALSO HAS HAD THE SAME ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN A VEHICLE TURNED LEFT IN FRONT OF HIM AND HE CRASHED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT FENDER WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. 2007 CAMRY XLE WITH ONLY 23,000 MILES NOW HAS POWER STEERING RETURN LINE LEAK. IT APPEARS THAT THE COROLLA IS CURRENTLY BEING INVESTED FOR POWER STEERING PROBLEMS OF SOME SORT. MANY PARTS USED TO BUILD THESE CARS ARE PROVING TO BE OF INFERIOR QUALITY. THIS IS A $250 REPAIR. I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ENGINE REVVED UP AND THE CAR STARTED CREEPING FORWARD. I PURCHASED A NEW 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID IN 2007. ABOUT A MONTH AGO, MY WATER PUMP STARTED TO LEAK. THIS WAS UNUSUAL BECAUSE CARS THAT I PREVIOUSLY OWNED, THE WATER PUMPS LASTED FOR MUCH LONGER THAN 3 YRS. RECENTLY, I FOUND OUT THAT TOYOTA HAD DID A NATIONAL RECALL ON 2004-2007 PRIUS HYBRID MODELS FOR WATER PUMPS THAT LEAKED. SO TODAY, I CHECKED ON ONLINE FORUMS, AND I FOUND OUT THAT MANY OWNERS WITH THE 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRIDS HAD ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH LEAKING OF THEIR WATER PUMPS, AND HAD TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. THE DEALER SANDED AND BUFFED THE HEADLIGHTS A SECOND TIME AND RECOATED THEM WITH PLASTIC BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT WAS THEN REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE CONTACT EXPRESSED THAT HE DID NOT FEEL SECURE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT. THE DRIVER SIDE SUNVISOR IS DEFECTIVE IN MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. I WAS DRIVING ONE DAY AND THE VISOR SUDDENLY FELL FROM ITS UP-AND-LOCKED POSITION. THE FIRST TIME IT FELL, I PUSHED THE VISOR BACK UP INTO ITS UP POSITION AND IT MANAGED TO STAY LOCK, ALBEIT NOT AS STURDY. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE INABILITY OF THE SUNVISOR TO STAY UP INTENSIFIED TO THE POINT WHERE THE THING WOULD NOT STAY UP AT ALL. I CURRENTLY HAVE THE SUNVISOR TIED UP SO IT DOES NOT OBSTRUCT MY VIEW WHILE DRIVING. I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT FOR THE VISOR. HOWEVER, TOYOTA CONSIDERS THE SUNVISOR TO BE A "TRIM" ITEM AND WILL NOT REPLACE THE VISOR, EVEN THOUGH I AM COVERED UNDER THEIR PLATINUM EXTENDED WARRANTY. *TR

THE CLUNKING DOESN'T HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ABOVE 10 MPH. DEALER (CAPITAL TOYOTA IN SAN JOSE, CA) TOLD ME THAT THE STEERING SHAFT NEEDS TO BE RE-GREASED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,818. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
