We ordered this car custom what we wanted 2021 Toyota Camry xse awd. The car is great wife and I love driving it. But at 68,857 miles as of today 4/29/26 it’s on its second set of tires with regular maintenance and rotations on tires it’s eating them up on the inside. We have had 4 alignment checked by Toyota and les Schwab and everything time it comes out perfect. Two sets of tires within 30,000 give or take is a very bad problem as both times the inside of been to the cords. The last set was only 26,000 miles and half the tire was separated tread to tire. First set every tire was down to cords on the inside.
While driving down the highway, the whole car and steering wheel of 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid started shaking side to side. Was able to exit safely and found a bubble in the sidewall of the 2021 Hankook Kinergy GT H436 BW 235/45R18 tire. Never had this happen with any tire before. 31,000 miles on tire. Could have caused a blow out if the exit was further away. No notification on Toyota Camry Hybrid screen or dash that anything was wrong with the tire before failure. I will check if the tire center will inspect the tire for me when they replace it in a few days.

My transmission is making a whining noise that starts round 20 mph and gets louder the faster I drive.
Owner bought new 2021 Camry XLR 4 cylinder all wheel drive. It currently has 39,000 miles on it. No problems until January 25, 2026. It was 11 degrees below zero, my car had the original battery. Car started without issue, I return to house to "warm it up" prior to driving. Upon my return I had multiple error codes; 1. AWD System Malfunction, 2 WD Engaged (Visit your Dealer), Secondary Collision Brake System Malfunction, Pre-Collision Brake System Malfunction, Parking Brake Malfunction, Check Engine light. I did NOT drive the car that day. Once the weather warmed up in Iowa, the number of codes would change and sometimes absolutely NO codes. Upon extensive internet research, I purchased a new battery (old battery did "test" ok, but no load test was completed). During all of this time, my car has always started well, performed well, etc. HOWEVER, when the "codes" show up, my cruise control also will not work. . . . Original dealership "ran computer codes" (C059746) indicating "calibration memory failure."Quote was given for: Parking rake actuator replacement $1,760. 2nd Toyota dealership opinion: $3,300 for parking brake actuator, low pressure fuel pump replacements. Original dealership adamantly denied the need to fuel pump replacement. Again, my car intermittently may or may NOT show warning codes. . . .Not I dealership has conducted any examination, they simply "run the computer codes" and quote a repair cost. I am concerned about repair scandals, diagnostic incompetence and perhaps the CAUSE of my "error codes" has not even be addressed (computer glitch, faulty sensor, corroded wiring, etc.) I am a 70 yr old female still working and needing transportation. I spent $34,000 on my car expecting safe and reliable transportation. I have NO confidence in the Toyota Repair diagnostics. I also own a 2005 Toyota Camry which was involved in the Toyota acceleration debacle years ago, of which they decline any responsibility. Luckily, no human injuries!!!!!
Transmission is staying in a higher gear at lower speeds and making vehicle shutter. You have to push on gas quite a bit to finally get it to downshift.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF Because I can not afford to inspect my sunroof, I have to resort to driving with a tilted panoramic defective sunroof that will not fully close. I fear for safety while driving, or parking anywhere when having to resort to shopping for groceries, weather hazards, highway hazards, and my own personal safety. I fear it could shatter from the sounds it makes at random times. It has presented to be such a fear and impacting my life with anxiety and fear. There have been no warnings lamps, messages prior or after the failure. This has not been inspected by dealer nor insurance because I can not afford for my premiums to have a higher cost. Dealer cost is too high. Please help!!

My 2021 Toyota Camry Se at 79,000 miles threw a PO705 code, neutral safety switch. I replaced it with a new part and it worked for about 10 minutes and then proceeded to throw code again and slip in the transmission

2021 Toyota Camry Transmission failure. On November 28th, 2025, my car started doing a hard shudder. I pulled over, then turned my car off. When I started my car back up, it would only drive in reverse but not forward. I had my car towed to a Toyota dealership and explained to the man at the front desk what happened. The guy went to talk to the mechanic then came back and told me that the mechanic said that there is no need to do a diagnostic test and that I just need to get another transmission. Toyota never bothered to look at my car but gave me a quote for almost $8,000, then preceeded to tell me that they may not even be able to get the transmission at all. Now, I have a car that I'm still paying for and can't drive.
There is an airbag recall with no remedy available. I’m very concerned about driving my car without this being fixed. Toyota shows the parts should have been available by now. How can they allow this to go unfixed when they are putting lives at risk? I called my dealer and they said it wasn’t fixable yet.
Purchased this vehicle at a big dealership and driving noticed glaring across the windshield try washing not helping took vehicle to glass shop that told me windshield damaged from rock chips and was pitted all the way through and could not be repaired has to be replaced dealership refuses to replace even though it has glare in sunlight and impairs my vision when driving The custom relation manager said it would have to be shattered or cracked before they would fix she referred me to go to a tint shop to have inside tint installed to help with the glaring that’s a negative because that can make it worse for seeing this damage was not disclosed during sale so this falls under deceptive sale practice and this is bad business the vehicle has car fax report and was a commercial vehicle so this all makes sense why the windshield is as bad as it is also dealership told me to contact my insurance and deal with it that way this is a safety issue when driving and the sun makes it glare and hard to visibly see I want the dealership to take responsibility for this repair since it wasn’t disclosed to me at time of sale this purchase was done November 5 2025 it’s only been a couple weeks Also when I purchased this vehicle the first day of driving I noticed wrong tire speed rate was on car the vehicle calls for 95 H and it had 95 T which is a lower speed rate and is a safety issue as well on 11/11/25 I replaced out of my pocket and put four tires with proper speed rate for that vehicle I’m demanding to this dealership for reimbursement on that as well… Safelite glass did estimate on windshield and I purchased proper tires at big chief

Upon driving the vehicle the steering wheel fluid light came on, the car instantly shut off and restarted 3 times repeatedly. Once it cut back on the 4th time the car began smoking from the interior. Once I exited the vehicle and popped the trunk looking for where the smoke was coming from. The car engulfed into flames. It is so badly burnt up you can’t see what started the fire.

Was driving in a FastTrack/commuter lane on the Interstate at 65MPH, all of a sudden my car would not accelerate forward. It coasted a bit. I was able to stop between the Fastrack lane and an exit space, in the triangular median. I easily could have gotten hit, especially if I had been where there was no painted median I decided to walk behind the sand filled garbage cans that were infrint of the guardrail. I feared people might miss their exit and kill me. Behind those cans seemed safer. I was told by Toyota Dealer my transmission needs replacement. It's covered under manufacture warrenty. I bought car in August 2021 new from dealer.it has 51808 miles.
THIS FIRST PORTION OF THE DESCRIPTION IF AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION FROM THE LATTER PART, WHICH WAS RECEIVED IN SPANISH. Complaint to NHTSA – Unresolved Recall on 2021 Toyota Camry I own a used 2021 Toyota Camry purchased from an authorized Toyota dealer. After purchase, I discovered that the vehicle has an open recall related to the airbag system. According to information from NHTSA, there is currently no solution available from the manufacturer. My concern is twofold: 1. The vehicle makes a constant daily noise, apparently related to the problem reported in the recall, which increases my distrust in the car's safety. 2. The dealership did not inform me before purchase about the existence of this active, unrepaired recall, which I consider a serious lack of transparency and a safety risk to consumers. This puts me in a situation of road safety concerns, as I am driving a vehicle that does not meet minimum safety standards due to a defect recognized by the manufacturer, but with no available remedy. I request that NHTSA: Investigate the case and confirm whether Toyota and the dealership are complying with their notification and transparency obligations. Demand that the manufacturer provide a clear and timely solution to this recall, as consumers should not be driving a defective vehicle without alternatives. Strengthen consumer protection mechanisms so that no dealership can sell vehicles with open recalls and no repairs available without explicitly informing the buyer. I trust that NHTSA can intervene, as this is a public safety risk that affects not only me as the owner, but also my passengers and other drivers on the road. para NHTSA – Recall sin solución en Toyota Camry 2021 Soy propietario de un Toyota Camry 2021 (usado) adquirido en un concesionario oficial de Toyota. 1. Driving on the highway with adaptive cruise control feels like taming a wild horse. Pulls side to side, even after alignment and total check up from Toyota. 2. Engine Maintenace required now warning light. This came on at 106,458 miles on Toyota Camry 21 LE. Randomly turned on. Off when air con was turned off, light came back on when air con was turned on. Took to Toyota dealership, repaired at no cost, Coolant bypass valve circuit short to battery or open, known concern by Toyota. DTC p268115 Confirmed and repaired at no cost, customer care warranty. 3. Headlights full of water, condensation at 70,000 miles. Regular Maintenace each 5k miles, bought extended protection plan for 4k, purchased car brand new in 2021 0 miles. at 70k the headlights I noticed condensation inside the headlights. I thought it would go away, later at 100,000 miles both headlights at the same time started to flicker, then DRL only worked, and turn signals and side markers. LED assembly went out completely dead. DRL then stopped working. Headlight retaining clips pulled away from the body of the car. Completely plastic. Headlight seal is completely worn and is peeling away from the headlight. Toyota just inspected car at 106,000 miles nothing said about the headlights. Now at 114k, Need to replace entire headlight on my own. 1 headlight is 1900 at toyota. must replace entire assembly, since it is a LED module. cracks in top mounting latches, entirely plastic. LED circuit board inside headlight covered in corrosion. Kioto Mexico DM026 is the chip inside the headlight located under the LED module. LED lights last 10-15 years. I didn't know I was supposed to reseal a headlight after 3 years. Toyota never told me this, not in the manual either. My headlights are done for. it costs 3000-4000 for OEM. No help from Toyota so far. Quaity issue with LED headlight unit on both sides. Plastic housing falling apart, cracking, clips snapped and breaking, no accidents. others have this issue
My airbags didn’t deploy when chevy Silverado truck and collided into front end drivers side. Speed was 35 mph whole hood of my car is shifted and drives side front end is demolished. It’s been reported to at fault insurance and is supposed to go into body shop on the 16th of June. So available for inspection until then? There is a police report but not sure about inspection? No warnings or messages. I have whiplash and possible concussion
Lack of solution for old recall
I was 165 mph and someone hit me and threw me into a sign that had big huge poles on it all the ones in California do I went right through it got banged all around I have to say the car is a tank because it got me home but it never deployed airbags when I know that it should have I’m pretty sure any other car would have the way that mine was wreck
I was involved in a multi-impact collision while driving my 2021 Toyota Camry. Certified crash data from the Airbag Control Module (ACM) confirms five crash events including a frontal collision (delta-V of -9.3 mph) and a rollover (roll angle 9.8°, roll rate 45.6°/sec). Despite these conditions, no airbags deployed—not the frontal, knee, or curtain airbags. The driver was belted, there was no airbag warning light, and power was maintained. Toyota later stated the system worked “as designed” and found no defects. However, federal safety standards (FMVSS No. 208 and 226) suggest this type of crash should have triggered the airbags, especially due to the frontal delta-V and verified rollover. I request a formal investigation. Crash report available upon request.
Dear NHTSA Safety Team, I am submitting this complaint to bring attention to an unresolved safety recall issue on my 2021 Toyota Camry SE – SEDAN 4DR (VIN: [XXX] ), which I purchased used in July 2023. The dealership that sold me the vehicle failed to inform me of the open recall, and I later learned that it involves the airbag system—a critical safety component. After checking my VIN, I confirmed that the recall is officially registered as: - NHTSA Recall Number: 23V865 - Manufacturer Recall Number: 23TB15 - Date Issued: December 20, 2023 - Recall Status: Recall Incomplete – Remedy Not Yet Available According to the recall summary, the issue involves potentially defective Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensors in the front passenger seat, which may have been improperly manufactured. This defect can result in the airbag failing to deploy as designed in certain crashes, thereby increasing the risk of injury to passengers. Toyota has not yet made a remedy available and only estimates a solution might arrive by Quarter 3 of 2024, which remains uncertain due to parts availability. In the meantime, I have been unable to refinance my vehicle due to this unresolved recall, and this situation has directly impacted my financial health. This is not only a severe safety risk but also a major consumer protection concern. I urge NHTSA to take swift action to ensure that Toyota expedites the availability of the remedy and prevents further financial and safety consequences for affected consumers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The rear camera has stopped working. It started working intermittently approximately 6 months ago and now it does not work at all. The warning light saying that it was not available would come on when it first started having a problem but that stopped when it stopped working completely. It will show rear cross traffic alert at times but no picture and not every time there is traffic. It has been inspected for any sign of damage to camera wiring, none found
I was hit from the rear while my vehicle was at a stop. The vehicle was going estimated 50mph and moved my vehicle about 12 feet colliding with the vehicle in from of me. I would think the impact of the front collision should have been enough to have the airbags deploy. The camry was totaled.

The panoramic sunroof gets stuck in the open position and also the motor makes a clicking sound. It is not opened all the way hardly at all, maybe 5 times a year if that. The problem is all over the internet and the dealerships routinely denies any knowledge of it and wants anywhere from 7k to more to fix the entire roof. This is very unprofessional and should not be swept under the rug. Reports of cheap bolts and screws also show a lack of concern for owner safety and usage.

I was stopped at a car wash, pressing on the brake pedal when all of a sudden it felt like someone rear-ended me. My car accelerated without me stepping on the gas pedal and I turned the wheel quickly to avoid hitting the car in front of me head on. I clipped his right back bumper, flew over a large shrub and landed smashing into a parked vehicle. The total front end of my vehicle was damaged and no air bag deployed.
This recall still has no solution from Toyota and I would like to submit a complaint that it has been a year and still no recourse.

The transmission on this vehicle has a delayed shifting between 1st and 2nd gears when accelerating. I am concerned that there is a transmission issue happening.
