I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN THE MAIL OVER A MONTH AGO FROM TOYOTA STATING THAT MY VEHICLE'S AIR BAG INFLATORS "MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURE IN SUCH A WAY AS TO HAVE A POTENTIAL FOR THE INTRUSION OF MOISTURE OVER TIME...THIS COULD CREATE EXCESSIVE INTERNAL PRESSURE WHEN THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED AND CAUSE THE INFLATOR TO RUPTURE...METAL FRAGMENTS COULD PASS THROUGH THE AIR BAG CUSHION MATERIAL, STRIKING THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." THIS IS A FATAL POTENTIAL MANUFACTURING ERROR. IT IS ALSO AN EXTREME INCONVENIENCE, AS I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING PASSENGERS SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT DUE TO THE ISSUE. I HAVE MADE 2 CALLS TO MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER, AS WELL AS ONE CALL TO THE TOYOTA CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER. MY TOYOTA DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS, BOTH TIMES, AND THE TOYOTA CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER REPORTED THAT THEY "DO NOT HAVE A REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM AS OF YET." I AM APPALLED WITH THE LACK OF ATTENTION THIS RECALL IS RECEIVING. I FEEL TOYOTA HAS FAILED TO REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTING THE TOYOTA DEALER SINCE JULY 21, 2015 TO REPLACE THE PASSENGERS AIRBAG. I AM TOLD PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE- YET THEY SEND OUT THESE SCARY LETTERS FOR US TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO REPLACE THEM OR WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES. I HAVE MADE THREE CALLS TO THE DEALER. MY LAST CALL WAS ON AUGUST 15, 2015. I WAS BASICALLY TOLD- DON'T CALL US. WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. A RECALL SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SENT OUT UNTIL PARTS WERE MADE AVAILABLE.

ALL THE SUDDEN I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT STOP ALL TOGETHER AND IT WILL NOT START UP AGAIN. I HAVE CHECKED EVERYTHING THAT COULD BE CHECK FROM ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, FUSES ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE TO CABLES, ECT BUT NO LUCK AT ALL.

ON THURSDAY JULY 16 2015, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL FOR MY 2005 COROLLA. IT STATES THE MALFUNCTION OF THE AIRBAGS AND STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT NO ONE OCCUPIES THE PASSENGER SEAT SO THAT IF FOR SOME REASON THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY, IT COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. WHILE LOOKING UP INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RECALL, I FOUND THAT IT ORIGINALLY WAS RECALLED ON MAY 13TH 2015, TWO MONTHS BEFORE I RECEIVED MINE IN THE MAIL. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT TOYOTA WOULD WAIT THAT LONG TO INFORM ITS DRIVERS. ON TOP OF THIS, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT FIXED, ONLY TO BE TOLD TODAY THAT TOYOTA IS ONLY SENDING THE PARTS TO THE DEALERSHIPS IN SMALL INCREMENTS. MY COMPLAIN ONLY ENTAILS THAT TOYOTA IS NOT TAKING CARE OF THIS PROBLEM IN A TIMELY MANNER. THANK YOU
I HAD A MALFUNCTIONING TIMING CHAIN AND ITS PARTS, AND AN ENGINE PROBLEM ON MY TOYOTA COROLLA 2005 WITHOUT PRIOR WARRING, SUCH AS AN ENGINE CHECK LIGHT, RATTLING, KNOCKING, OR STALLING. ALSO I WASNT AWARE THAT THESE PROBLEMS COULD HAPPEN BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY TIMING CHAIN SYSTEM MAINTENANCE IN THE TOYOTA 2005 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE GUIDE BOOKLET. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPAIRED MY CAR THOUGHT THAT THE TENSIONER ON THE TIMING CHAIN MAY HAVE HAD A PROBLEM THAT CAUSED THE CAM GEAR TO WEAR OUT, SO THAT THE TIMING CHAIN SLIPPED OFF THE CAM GEAR. THEN, THE PROBLEM CAUSED THE ENGINE VALVES TO BE BENT. FINALLY MY CAR GOT FIXED. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED IN A SHOPPING MALL PARKING LOT WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE, I FELT BOOM, BOOM, KNOCKING COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I DROVE OUT OF THE PARKING LOT CAREFULLY, BUT I WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HAD THIS KNOCKING FROM THE CAR. SO I STOPPED IN A DIFFERENT PARKING LOT OF THE SAME MALL. I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD AND CHECKED THE DRIVE BELT, WHICH WAS INTACT. THERE WAS NO FOUL SMELL. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND PAID ATTENTION TO ANYTHING UNUSUAL. I HEARD RATTLING AND I DECIDED TO TAKE MY CAR TO AN AUTO MECHANIC SHOP, WHICH IS CLOSER THAN GOING HOME. WITH MY EMERGENCY LIGHT ON, I DROVE INTO THE STREET LESS MILE WHEN I HEARD SOUNDS LIKE METAL OR SODA CANS CRUSHING AROUND IN THE ENGINE. THEN MY CAR SLOWLY STOPPED AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND SLID DOWN TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, BARELY OFF THE ROAD. EVENTUALLY MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE AUTO SHOP. I HAVE A WORN OUT CAM GEAR, A TENSIONER WITH A FEW FINE CRACKS, BENT VALVES AND THE TIMING CHAIN. I CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE ON JULY 24, 2015. BUT I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE THE CAR WARRANTY OF 60,000 MILES HAD PASSED AND I DIDNT TAKE MY CAR TO A TOYOTA AUTHORIZED AUTO SHOP THEY WONT DEAL WITH MY CAR PROBLEM.
