WE WERE ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE MAY 23 2016 AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FURTHER NOTICE MADE A REPAIR APPOINTMENT AFTER CALLING AND SERVICE SAID THEY COULD TAKE CARE OF IT. WHEN DROPPING OFF THE CAR WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART SO THEY COULD NOT FIX THE CAR.

TAKATA RECALL- IT IS UNACCEPTABLE THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED IN THE 9 MONTHS SINCE MY VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. I HAVE AVOIDED HAVING ANY PASSENGERS IN MY CAR, BASICALLY ONLY RISKING MY OWN SAFETY RATHER THAN MY LOVED ONES. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT MY SAFETY! TAKATA RECALL WE RECEIVED THE NOTICE OF RECALL LAST MAY (2016). WE HAVE RECEIVED NO OTHER NOTIFICATION FROM TOYOTA OR THE OEM MANUFACTURER (TAKATA). GIVEN THE POTENTIAL SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM, I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS "TIMELY" ON TOYOTA'S PART AND REQUEST THEY BE ENCOURAGED TO GET THIS DONE. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RECALL NOTICE ADVISES US NOT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH ANYONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT LIMITATION. I REALIZE THAT THE REMEDY CAN'T BE ACCOMPLISHED OVERNIGHT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE SOME PROGRESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE 9 MONTHS SINCE WE RECEIVED THE NOTICE. IN ALL OTHER RESPECTS THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT AND THE TWO PREVIOUS RECALLS WERE ACCOMPLISHED QUICKLY.
TAKATA RECALL - THE REMEDY TO CORRECT THE AIR BAG DEFECT FOR THE TOYOTA COROLLA 2009 IS NOT WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME. IT'S BEEN 9 MONTHS AND NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE AS YET. I NEED THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT OF MY CAR FOR MY FAMILY AND IT'S BEEN A HARDSHIP. I CERTAINLY WON'T LET ANYONE SIT IN THAT SEAT FOR FEAR THEY COULD DIE. THE FIRST TIME WAS DECEMBER 4, 2011 IN GIANT PARKING LOT AS I WAS PARKING IT ACCELERATED AND HIT THE POLE . PLEASE THERE IS A ISSUE WITH THIS CAR AND IT IS VERY UNSAFE BECAUSE I HAVE TWO GRANDDAUGHTER WHO COULD HAVE BE IN THE CAR WITH ME AT THE TIME OF THIS ACCIDENT.
