2009 TOYOTA COROLLA 4 CYLINDER ENGINE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. WHEN YOU PRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IN THE 2,000 RPM RANGE THERE IS AN AUDIBLE WHISTLE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IN THE LOWER RPMS THERE IS NO UNUSUAL SOUND AND THAT SAME GOES FOR THE HIGHER RPMS, BUT EVERY TIME THE RPM NEEDLE GOES THROUGH THE 2,000 RPM IT WHISTLES.
EVERY SINCE BUYING THIS CAR SOMETHING HAS FELT WRONG WITH THE STEERING. IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME. IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE SKATING ON ICE AS YOU DRIVE DOWN THE HIGHWAY EVEN ON DRY PAVEMENT WITH NO WIND. THE STEERING WANDERS CONSTANTLY CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO CORRECT IT. YOU CAN'T DRIVE IT WITH ONE HAND AT ALL. I'VE HAD 3 SETS OF TIRES AND TWO ALIGNMENTS TO TRY AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE MECHANICS SAY THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V338000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM). AFTER REPAIRS, THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH AND APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS WOULD NEED TO BE PERFORMED A SECOND TIME BUT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT COVER THE COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY BRAKE FAILURE PRIOR TO THE RECALL REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,758.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT WAS ENTERING A PARKING SPACE DRIVING 1 MPH WHEN THERE WAS A LOUD, UNUSUAL NOISE. IMMEDIATELY, THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY ACCELERATED CAUSING HER TO CRASH INTO A CONCRETE POST AND HIT A PARKED VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT AN INVESTIGATOR WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND SHE WOULD BE CONTACT ONCE THE INVESTIGATION WAS COMPLETE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V017000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL: ACCELERATOR PEDAL) PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000. UPDATED 3/8/11 *CN THE CONSUMER HAS SINCE TRADED THE VEHICLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK IN THE DEPRESSED POSITION FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE SECONDS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 64,000.
2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. CONSUMER STATES THAT SHE PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE BRAKE PEDAL AT THE SAME TIME AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED THROUGH A FENCE. SHE FINALLY GOT THE VEHICLE TO STOP BEFORE CRASHING INTO THE BUILDING. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED HE ACCELERATED THROUGH A FENCE CAUSING $7,566.05 IN DAMAGE TO HIS VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED EVEN THOUGH THE ACCIDENT WAS DUE TO DRIVER ERROR, THE VEHICLE WAS POORLY DESIGNED. THE DIFFERENTIAL IN HEIGHT BETWEEN THE GAS PEDAL AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS 1 TO 1. 25 INCHES WHEN NEITHER WAS DEPRESSED. THEY CAN VERY OFTEN BE AT THE SAME HEIGHT WHEN BOTH WERE DEPRESSED TOGETHER WHICH COULD CAUSE DRIVER CONFUSION AS TO WHERE THE FOOT WOULD BE. TO ADD TO THE PROBLEM, THERE WAS A FIREWALL HUMP 1 INCH TO THE RIGHT OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THIS LEAVES ONLY 5.75 INCHES BETWEEN THAT WALL AND THE RIGHT EDGE OF THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO MANEUVER HIS FOOT. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ANOTHER DRIVER WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE 55 MPH WHEN THE STEERING SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE BEGAN SWERVING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC AS THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL AND LANDED SIDEWAYS BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. THE DRIVER WAS UNINJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND A REPRESENTATIVE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE FOR THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 29,600.
THE CAR WAS PURCHASED ON 10\19\2010 IN A TOWN ABOUT 3 HOURS FROM WHERE I LIVE. MY WIFE DROVE THE CAR HOME. TIRE PRESSURES WERE CHECKED AND WERE AT 30 PSI PER THE VEHICLE'S MANUFACTURER'S LABEL. I THEN DROVE THE CAR (FOR THE FIRST TIME ON A HIGHWAY) AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS INDEED UNSTEADY IN CURVES. IT WONDERED LEFT AND RIGHT AND THE POWER STEERING SEEMED LOOSE OR WAS ADDING POWER STEERING BOOST WHEN NOT NECESSARY. ON 11/01/2010 I BROUGHT THE CAR TO AN ALIGNMENT SHOP THAT BIGHORN TOYOTA USES. THEY SAID THE ALIGNMENT WAS NOT WITHIN SPECS. AFTERWARDS AND ON MY WAY HOME (ABOUT 1 1/2 HOUR DRIVE DOWN INTERSTATE AND TWO LANE ROADS) I NOW NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE, WHEN IN LEFT CURVES, CONTINUED TO HAVE THIS SLACK OR LOOSE FEELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WOULD NOT CORRECT ITSELF OR STRAIGHTEN OUT COMING OUT OF THE CURVES. ONE WOULD HAVE TO KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO COMPENSATE FOR THE LOOSENESS. RIGHT CORNERS OR CURVES WERE NOT LOOSE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD CORRECT ITSELF ONCE YOU CAME OUT OF THE CURVE. THINKING THAT THE ALIGNMENT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY I WENT TO ANOTHER SHOP (BIG O) IN CRAIG, CO. THEY SAID THE ALIGNMENT WAS PERFECT (I HAVE BOTH PRINT OUTS TO CONFIRM). AT THIS TIME I DECIDED (AFTER DISCUSSION WITH THE STORE MANAGER) REPLACE THE TIRES WITH A HIGHER QUALITY TIRE. THE SAME PROBLEM STILL EXISTED AFTERWARDS. I CONTACTED A TOYOTA SERVICE MANAGER, THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT HAVE NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM AS OF THIS DATE. THIS MAY NOT BE A BIG PROBLEM ON DRY ROADS BUT ON ICY, SNOW PACKED OR WET ROADS, THIS CAR WILL BE A HANDFUL TO KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL.

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH AND APPROACHING A TRAFFIC STOP SIGNAL, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN AND TRAVELED OVER A CURB INTO A UTILITY POLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A STORAGE FACILITY. THERE WAS NO PERSONAL INJURY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THAT AN ENGINEER WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.
MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT OF THE VEHICLE. SHE HAD TO STEER THE CAR OUT OF TRAFFIC AND PARK THE CAR. THE ALTERNATOR ON THE CAR HAD QUIT WORKING AND CAUSED HER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. THANKFULLY SHE WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC WITHOUT A COLLISION. THE REASON WE BOUGHT A NEW CAR WAS TO TRY NOT TO HAVE PROBLEMS USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH OLDER MORE WORN VEHICLES. *TR
CAR ACCELERATES UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE IN CRUISE CONTROL. WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH CAR ENGINE RPM'S SUDDENLY JUMPS TO OVER 4000 RPM'S, CAR SPEEDS UP 5-10 MPH. IF CRUISE IS TURNED OFF, ACCELERATION STOPS AND THE VEHICLE DRIVES AS NORMAL. *TR
THE RADIO SHUTS DOWN FOR SECONDS AT A TIME - OBVIOUS POWER FAILURE. WHEN THE POWER IS RESTORED (SECONDS LATER) RADIO RETURNS TO SAME STATION. WHEN IT HAPPENS RADIO LIGHT ONLY GOES OFF THEN COMES BACK ON. USUALLY HAPPENS AFTER CAR IS DRIVEN ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTES, THEN IT HAPPENS NON STOP EVEN WITH THE VOLUME DOWN. SOUNDS LIKE A ROCK IS HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. IT IS A VERY LOUD, VERY STARTLING NOISE. *TR
MY 2009 COROLLA LE HAS BEEN HAVING FRONT END ALIGNMENT / STEERING PROBLEMS SINCE NEW. IT STARTED SHORTLY AFTER BUYING IT, I TOOK IT IN FOR IT'S FIRST OIL CHANGE AND ASKED THE DEALER TO LOOK INTO THE ALIGNMENT SINCE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS OFF CENTER. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN 2-3 TIMES AFTERWARDS, THEN I FINALLY HAD BRAKES SERVICED AND HAD IT ALIGNED. 2-3 DAYS LATER AFTER ALIGNMENT I NOTICED THE WHEEL OFF CENTER AGAIN. I AM A BUSY PERSON SO I DECIDED TO TAKE IT FOR DUE OIL CHANGE AND HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK AT THE STEERING ONCE AGAIN BECAUSE NOW IS GETTING WORSE, IS PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND THE OTHER DAY I OVER COMPENSATED TAKING A LEFT TURN AND HIT THE CURB WHICH CAUSED TO BEND THE LIP OF A WHEEL, LUCKY FOR ME NO AIR GOT OUT OF THE TIRE. NOW I HAVE TO BUY A NEW WHEEL, THAT ONE WOULD NEVER BALANCE. PLEASE HELP, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE FRONT END OF THIS CAR, MAYBE A RECALL SHOULD BE MADE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY USING THE CRUISE CONTROL, WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO 80 MPH. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET FOR 62 MPH. THE SAME SUDDEN ACCELERATION OCCURRED A SECOND TIME, BUT I STOPPED USING THE CRUISE CONTROL. BOTH TIMES, THE CAR SLOWED DOWN WHEN I TOUCHED THE BRAKE AND THE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED AS EXPECTED. 1. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA 4 DOOR SEDAN AND DID NOT SEE A PICKUP TRUCK STOPPED IN THE ROAD WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. SHE SWERVED, BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH TO AVOID COLLIDING WITH THE TRUCK. THE TOYOTA COROLLA SUSTAINED HEAVY DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT OF THE CAR (THE CAR WAS TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY). THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO MY DAUGHTER OR HER PASSENGER. 2. THERE WERE MULTIPLE FAILURES OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT ON THE TOYOTA COROLLA. FIRST, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE INVESTIGATING POLICE OFFICER SAID THAT THEY DID NOT DEPLOY BECAUSE THE COLLISION "MISSED THE SENSOR". SECOND, AND THE FAILURE THAT MOST CONCERNS ME IS THAT THE HOOD LATCH FAILED TO PREVENT THE HOOD FROM POPPING LOOSE, THEREBY DRIVING THE HOOD BACKWARDS AND BREAKING THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS APPALLED THAT THE HOOD LATCH FAILED TO SECURE THE HOOD IN THE CRASH. 3. SINCE THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE HOOD LATCH FAILURE HAS BEEN REPORTED. THE DELAY IN REPORTING THE FAILURE SI DUE TO MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF THIS DATABASE. *TR
MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA SPORT HAS BEEN HAVING BRAKE ISSUES SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 6 MILES ON IT. IT STARTED WITH BRAKE NOISES. BOTH ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND HEARD THEM. WE ARE NOT DEAF. I TOOK MY TOYOTA IN FOR SERVICE ON THE PROBLEM TWICE AND BOTH TIMES THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. THE PAST WEEK I'VE NOTICED THE BREAKING HAS BEEN REALLY DIFFICULT AND YOU HAVE TO PUSH DOWN HARD TO STOP THE VEHICLE. SO TODAY; MY THIRD BRAKE COMPLAINT THEY TOLD ME I NEED NEW ROTORS AND THAT THE PADS ARE WORN DOWN THE METAL ON METAL AND THAT THE ROTORS WERE "GLAZED" OVER FROM THE EXTREME HEAT. NEW ROTORS AND THIRD SET OF BRAKE PADS AT 11,000 MILES? NEVER HEARD OF IT! SOMETHINGS WRONG AND TOYOTA WILL NOT ADMIT IT. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 60 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER ABNORMALLY. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES WOULD FLUCTUATE ODDLY AND THE POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES AND HEADLIGHTS ALL BECAME INOPERABLE. THE DEALER MADE TWO ATTEMPTS TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED AND THAT THE SYMPTOMS WOULD BE NORMAL IF THE BATTERY WAS THE CULPRIT OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT INFORM THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 52,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.

MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA CONTINUES TO BE ALL OVER THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I HAVE TO MAKE CONSTANT CORRECTIONS IN STEERING TO KEEP IN WITHIN THE LANE. THE EPS IS WAY TOO SENSITIVE. VERY DANGEROUS AND PRODUCES DRIVER FATIGUE AND POTENTIAL FOR OVERCORRECTIONS. I HAVE READ IN CONSUMER REPORTS THAT TOYOTA HAS ADDRESSED THIS AND IS OFFERING A FIX, ONLY TO THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO COMPLAIN, TO REPLACE THE EPS CONTROL MODULE. I CONTACTED MY DEALER ON 9/24/2010 AND THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS FIX. THE DEALERS WERE SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS IN JUNE 2010 FROM A SERVICE BULLETIN FROM TOYOTA CORPORATE. PLEASE REQUIRE TOYOTA TO ISSUE A RECALL TO REPLACE THE EPS CONTROL MODULE AS THE DEALERS ARE RELUCTANT TO FIX UPON REQUEST FROM THE CUSTOMER. *TR
I HAVE CONTACTED TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS FOR MORE THAN 13 TIMES REGARDING THE FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM OF MY NEW TOYOTA COROLLA, 2009. I DIDN'T GET ACTUAL RESULTS. THIS NEW CAR IS DRIVEN BY MY CHILD. I DON'T WANT MY CHILD IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I DON'T WANT LOSE MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THE FAULTY VEHICLE. I WILL ONLY BE SATISFIED IF THE TOYOTA HEADQUARTER AUTHORIZE THE NEAREST DEALER TO REPLACE MY CURRENT TOYOTA COROLLA WITH A NEW TOYOTA COROLLA IN FREE OF COST. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
IT WAS RAINING ON 441 AND I WAS DOING 45MPH, ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED DRIFTING A LOT SWITCHING ME FROM ONE LANE TO ANOTHER. I COMPLETELY HYDROPLANNED. I STARTED SPINNING, ALMOST HITTING A BIG WOODEN POLE, AND I ENDED UP FALLING INTO A BIG DITCH FULL OF WATER. I THOUGHT THAT COULD'VE BEEN THE REASON WHY I HYDROPLANNED, SO I CHANGED THE 2 REAR TIRES FOR NEW ONES AFTER THAT. AFTER DRIVING IT AGAIN, OVER A BRIDGE, THE STEERING DRIFTED AGAIN. I DIDN'T SPIN, BUT IT PULLED ME TO THE RIGHT, ENOUGH TO GOT ME SCARED AGAIN, AND IT WASN'T EVEN RAINING. AFTER THAT OTHER INCIDENT I DROVE IT MANY MORE TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY, AND EVERYTIME UNDER HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR WHEN I PASSED BY A BIG TRUCK OR ANYTHING THAT MADE THE WIND PUSH THE CAR, I KEPT FEELING THE STEERING WHEEL DRIFTING. MY CAR ACCELERATED INTO THE BACK OF THE FORD DAMAGING MY BUMPER AND THE FORD'S BACK BUMPER. 7-12 I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY & REPORTED THE INCIDENT. AT THE LAST ROTATION APPOINTMENT, THE MECHANIC STATED THE TIRES BARELY PASSED NYS INSPECTION, AS THEY HAD ONLY 2/32" OF TREAD LEFT. AT THAT TIME THE TIRES HAD APPROXIMATELY 18,400 MILES ON THEM. SINCE THE ROTATION, I CAN HEAR A THUMPING-TYPE SOUND WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED. THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WHERE I LEASE THE CAR FROM STATES THEY WILL HAVE TO CHECK WITH TOYOTA, BUT IF I DIDN'T HAVE THE ROTATIONS (MAINTENANCE) PERFORMED AT A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, I MAY HAVE TO PURCHASE NEW TIRES. THE GENERAL MANAGER RECENTLY STATED IN WRITING THAT THE TIRES ON MY VEHICLE ONLY HAVE A LIFE EXPECTANCY OF 20,000, WHICH INCIDENTALLY WAS NOT REPRESENTED AT TIME OF LEASE OR IN THE LEASE CONTRACT WHICH ALLOWS FOR 36,000 MILES IN 36 MONTHS. I HAVE 7 MONTHS LEFT ON MY LEASE. I TOOK THIS CAR TO THE NEAREST TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT ITS A BAD ALTERNATOR, POWER STEERING, AND WATER PUMP W BATTERY CHARGING ISSUES. THIS HAPPENED ALL IN LIKE A HALF HOUR. BATTERY LIGHT NEVER CAME ON BEFORE THAT DAY. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON FREEWAY. TOYOTA WAKE UP. WHAT HAPPENED TO QUALITY? MY COROLLA IS NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS JUST OVER 30,000 MILES AND THIS? THE DEALERSHIP DID PAY FOR MY RENTAL AND IS FIXING THIS ISSUE FREE OF CHARGE BUT 4 THINGS WRONG IN LESS THAN 1/2 HOUR? *TR
I HAVE A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE POWER STEERING ON MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. TO BEGIN WITH THE STEERING IS EXTREMELY UNRESPONSIVE. AT LOW SPEEDS THE STEERING IS EXTREMELY LOOSE FEELING. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A COUPLE OF NEAR ACCIDENTS IN PARKING LOTS WHERE I WAS BARELY ABLE TO MANEUVER OUT OF THE WAY IN TIME. AT HIGHER SPEEDS THE STEERING IS STIFF AND DIFFICULT TO STEER. WHETHER OR NOT YOUR DRIVING FAST OR SLOW THE STEERING IS SLUGGISH AND UNRESPONSIVE. IT IS MUCH LIKE DRIVING A CAR WITH NORMAL POWER STEERING ON A SANDY BEACH. YOU SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE PROPER CONTROL. IT SEEMS LIKE THESE PROBLEMS ARE GETTING WORSE OVER TIME AS WELL. I PUT VERY FEW MILES ON THE CAR AND TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF IT AS IT IS IN ALMOST MINT CONDITION. THERE IS VERY LITTLE WEAR AND TEAR ON MY COROLLA AT 6,500 MILES. THE EXTREMELY UNRESPONSIVE STEERING ON THE 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA MAKES DEFENSIVE DRIVING VERY DIFFICULT. IT MAKES COMPENSATING FOR OTHER DRIVERS ACTIONS AND MISTAKES BY AVOIDING THEM VERY DIFFICULT AND IS A DANGEROUS VEHICLE TO DRIVE AS A RESULT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKES TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE WOULD ABNORMALLY ROLL FORWARD SECONDS AFTER STOPPING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6,500.
2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. DRIVING NORTH ON HIGHWAY 95 JUST SOUTH OF ELGIN, TEXAS. SPEED WAS BETWEEN 55-65 MPH. STEERING WHEEL STIFFENED BECOMING INOPERABLE, CAR VEERED RIGHT UNCONTROLLABLY AND FLIPPED. *TR
