TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER CAMPAIGN TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE AND THAT THE REAR WHEEL BEARING HARNESSES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED FOUR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM, BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,638. *TT
TAKATA RECALL -I'M RECEIVING NOTICES FOR THE RECALLS AND I'VE YET TO RECEIVE A REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM .AND I HAVE TEENAGE CHILDREN THAT ARE CONSTANTLY RIDING IN THIS VEHICLE DAILY .. THERE NEEDS TO BE A REMEDY IMMEDIATELY BEFORE TRAGEDY STRIKES !!!!!
TAKATA RECALL. IN JANUARY 2017 TOYOTA SENT A RECALL NOTICE. LATER THEY SENT A LETTER STATING THAT A REMEDY WASN'T AVAILABLE YET AND NOT TO LET ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT IS NOW THE END OF OCTOBER 2017 AND THEY HAVEN'T COME UP WITH A REMEDY YET. IT IS UNREASONABLE TO HAVE THIS GO ON SO LONG WITHOUT FIXING IT AND TELLING ME NOT TO LET ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT.
TAKATA RECALL: I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL MONTHS AGO AND TOYOTA STILL HAS NOT REPAIRED IT FOR ME, THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND I HAVE BEEN IN COMMUNICATION FOR MONTHS NOW AND THE RECALL REPAIR STILL ISN'T AVAILABLE; NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT SHOULD BE READY IN NOVEMBER. I THINK IT IS CRAZY THAT I AND MY PASSENGERS HAVE BEEN UNSAFE FOR MONTHS NOW AND WITH SUCH TERRIBLE DELAY IN ANY SORT OF REPAIRS. THIS IS UNFAIR AND SHOWS DISREGARD FOR MY LIFE AND SAFETY.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED AN INTERIM RECALL NOTICE (NHTSA NO. 16V-340 & 17V-006) FROM TOYOTA. I HAVE CONTACTED MY DEALER AT LEAST 4 SEPARATE TIMES REGARDING THE RECALL REPAIR. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL WAS INTERIM AND A RECALL REPAIR HAD NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED AND WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I AM UNABLE TO PAY FOR A REPLACEMENT AIR BAG INFLATOR OUT-OF-POCKET SO SINCE RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE (I BELIEVE NEARLY ONE YEAR AGO ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO DATE ON THE NOTICE FROM TOYOTA), I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO OPERATE MY VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. TODAY, I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM TAKATA (TK HOLDINGS INC.) NOTIFYING ME THAT THEY HAD FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY AND THAT I SHOULD CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR. MY DEALERSHIP ASKED TO SEE A COPY OF THIS NOTICE, AS THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED THIS INFORMATION. THEY INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME WITH A FOLLOW-UP AFTER REVIEWING THE NOTICE. HOWEVER, AS OF TODAY, 10/26/2017, TOYOTA HAS BEEN UNABLE AND UNWILLING TO REMEDY THE AIRBAG PROBLEM AND SCHEDULE MY REPAIR. THE NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS LED ME TO VISIT THE AIRBAG RECALL WEBSITE, WHICH LED ME TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT.
I JUST CALLED TOM WOOD TOYOTA IN INDIANAPOLIS ON LAFAYETTE ROAD AND THEY ARE SAYING THE MANUFACTURER HASN'T RELEASED THE REMEDY ON THE TAKATA AIRBAG AND WON'T DO SO UNTIL DECEMBER

TAKATA RECALL LOCAL DEALER STILL DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS. THEIR ONLY SUGGESTION IS TO NOT HAVE ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE, YET NEW CARS ARE BEING PRODUCED, WITH [SUPPOSEDLY GOOD INFLATORS]. APPARENTLY PROFIT COMES BEFORE SAFETY.
TAKADA RECALL. I RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT THIS RECALL MONTHES AGO BUT TOYOTA HAS NOT OFFERED A REMEDY YET. ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT MY CAR HAS DANGEROUS AIRBAGS AND I NEED THIS CAR AND DRIVE IT DAILY. PLEASE HELP.

TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE BEEN ADVISED NOT TO USE THIS VEHICLE BY THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE ALSO BEEN ADVISED THAT THE AIR BAG MANUFACTURER MAY SOON NOT BE ABLE TO PAY. HIS HAS GONE ON TOO LONG; I CANNOT SELL THE VEHICLE. THE AIRBAGS NEED TO BE REPLACED OR I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR THE COST OF THE VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL - I CALLED TANSKY SAWMILL TOYOTA (6300 SAWMILL RD DUBLIN, OH 43017 614-766-4800) WHERE I PURCHASED MY 2009 COROLLA AND ASKED ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL. THEY REPORTED THEY DO NOT YET HAVE A FIX FOR THIS. I DO NOT LIKE DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT KNOWING THE RISK. I WOULD LIKE A FIX FOR THIS ASAP.
THE AIR BAGS WERE PART OF RECALL AND WHEN I CALLED WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. MY CAR WAS INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT ON OCT 7TH AND WAS TOTALED AND THE AIR BAGS NEVER WENT OFF DESPITE THE DRIVER HITTING THEIR HEAD RIGHT WHERE THE SIDE AIR BAG WAS.....UPDATED 11/03/17 *BF UPDATED 9/12/18*JB

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON AND OFF SPORADICALLY, SINCE THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION WAS BOUGHT OF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR FROM SUNNY SIDE TOYOTA SINCE MARCH 2009 ALL THE WAY UP TO THE PRESENT. NOW, I DIDN'T PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE, HOWEVER, MY BUDDY WHO DID HAS CLAIMED THIS LIGHT -- CHECK ENGINE, ALONG WITH ABS AND VSC WOULD COME ON TOGETHER. ALTHOUGH, HE HAS SAID, IT'S NEVER AFFECTED THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SAID VEHICLE -- I KNOW BETTER!! SINCE THE VEHICLE IS NOW UNDER MY OWNERSHIP AND UNFORTUNATELY, IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THERE IS A TSB ON THIS EXACT SERVICE CODE P0607, WHICH INVOLVES CHANGING OUT THE PCM AND THE OTHER P CODE HAPPENS TO BE P0138, WHICH IS THE 02 SENSOR. SINCE THERE IS A TSB ON THIS SPECIFIC CODE - P0607, IT AFFECTS CERTAIN COROLLAS AND MATRIX FOR THE YEARS PRIOR TO MY VEHICLE -- SO WHAT A COINCIDENCE, WOULD YOU SAY? I WOULD SAY!! ALSO, ACCORDING TO REPAIRPAL.COM, THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THESE VEHICLES AND I THINK THIS SHOULD ALSO THEN BE A STANDARD RECALL, CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT MY 2009 TOYOTA MATRIX ONLY HAS 49K MILES. IT IS ALSO MENTIONED, UNDER THAT SERVICE CODE THAT THE PCM COMPUTER SHOULD BE REPLACED AND THUS, IT WOULD CORRECT THESE PROBLEMS THAT I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING. FUTHERMORE, IT'S LISTED IN THE TSB, THAT THIS IS ALSO COVERED UNDER THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY OF 96 MONTHS AND/OR 80K MILES. IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE ASSISTED WITH THIS MATTER AND HAVING TOYOTA, OUT OF GOOD FAITH, CORRECTING THIS ISSUE FOR ME. I HAVE THIS TSB DOCUMENT INFERRING SUCH ALONG WITH ANOTHER DOCUMENT WHICH STATES HOW CLOSELY SIMILAR MY ENGINE IS TO THE ENGINE IN QUESTION. THE P CODES STATED ABOVE WERE SUPPLIED BY THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, WHEN I LAST BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL. I WOULD SINCERELY, APPRECIATE ANY ASSISTANCE IN DEALING WITH THIS MATTER *TR
TOYOTA HAS ISSUE A "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" FOR MY 2009 COROLLA IN JANUARY 2017. IN THE NOTICE, TOYOTA RECOMMENDS NOT CARRYING PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT AS THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY OR EVEN DEATH IF ITS FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED. IT'S BEEN NINE MONTHS SINCE TOYOTA DETECTED THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED MY TOYOTA DEALER IN BETHESDA, MD, AND WAS INFORMED THAT A REMEDY IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. NOT BEING ABLE TO CARRY A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT IS A BIG INCONVENIENCE. I NEED A SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM. I WOULD APPRECIATE NHTSA'S GUIDANCE ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS SITUATION. CAN I REQUEST TOYOTA TO REPLACE MY VEHICLE OR BUY MY VEHICLE BACK? SHOULD I HAVE THE FAULTY AIRBAG REPLACED ELSEWHERE AND REQUEST TOYOTA TO COVER THE EXPENSE? TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE THE RECALL AND TOYOTA HAS NOT MADE A FIX AVAILABLE YET TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THE AIRBAGS. NO INCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED REQUIRING INFLATION OF THE AIRBAGS TO DATE.
ON SEP 27 I WAS INVOLVED IN AN REAR ENDED ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY 880 FREMONT CA AND ALL THE AIRBAG WERE DEPLOYED (THE CAR WAS TOTALLED), THE AIRBAG CAUSED INJURY TO MY FOREHEAD AND I AM STILL SUFFERING FROM HEADACHE.
I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL CONCERNING TOYOTA RECALLS. I WENT TO THE WEBSITE GIVEN AND SEARCHED MY VIN NUMBER AND IT SAYS THERE ARE FIVE RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. I WILL CONTACT THE NUMBER SO THAT I CAN HAVE THE ISSUES RESOLVED.

TAKATA RECALL WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERS/SERVICE AREA TWO DIFFERENT TIMES, I WAS TOLD THEY DON'T HAVE THE NEEDED PARTS TO DO REPAIR YET. THE SUGGESTION WAS TO NOT LET ANYONE SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT! (MILLER TOYOTA, MANASSAS, VA)
TAKATA RECALL - WE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. SOON AFTER, WE CALLED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR. ON THE CALL, THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THEY ARE OUT OF PARTS AND WOULD CONTACT US WHEN THE PARTS ARE IN. ABOUT TWO OR THREE MONTHS LATER, WE STILL HAD NOT HEARD FROM THE DEALERSHIP, SO WE CALLED BACK BUT WERE TOLD THE SAME THING. ANOTHER TWO OR THREE MONTHS LATER, WHICH IS TODAY, WE CALLED BACK AND WERE TOLD THE SAME THING YET AGAIN. I RECEIVE A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (WHICH BY THE WAY TAKES AWAY A PART OF THE UTILITY OF THE VEHICLE BY RECOMMENDING THAT NO ONE RIDES IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT), BUT RECEIVE NO HELP FROM TOYOTA IN ADDRESSING IT. THE DEALERSHIP DEFERS ANY AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY TO THE MANUFACTURER TOYOTA CORPORATE. AT THIS POINT, WE FEEL VERY INADEQUATELY ASSISTED WITH THIS RECALL.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM TOYOTA REGARDING PROPER ACTION FOR TAKATA AIRBAG. THOUGH I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AS USED IN MARCH, 2017, THE NHSTA WEB SITE USING MY VEHICLE'S VIN CONFIRMS MY VEHICLE HAS NOT YET BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT THE NORNING OF 09/12/2017. MY CAR EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT DAMGE TO THE FRONT END, SO MUCH SO THAT IT NEEDS TO BE TOTALLED. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLIYED DUE TO THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE. AT THE TIME OF IMPACT I WAS TURNING LEFT AND MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET.
TSB 0087-09 MARCH 13, 2009 CAME OUT SHORTLY AFTER PRODUCTION OF THE 2009 MODEL AND DUE TO THE MANY COMPLAINTS IT APPEARS THEY QUICKLY INCLUDED IT IN THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY (6 MO/60K MILES) RATHER THAN DO A RECALL. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT IS DETECTED ON A COLD START, SO MANY USERS WILL IGNORE IT, THINKING IT'S JUST A SQUEAKY BELT, AND USED CAR BUYERS WILL GET TAKEN BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DETECT IT IF THE SELLER HAS STARTED THE CAR AND IT DOESN'T OCCUR UNTIL THE NEXT DAY AFTER YOU'VE PURCHASED THE CAR. TOYOTA SLID UNDER THE RADAR ON THIS ONE. IT'S A PRICEY REPAIR THAT I'VE BEEN TOLD BY A FEW MECHANICS THAT ONLY THE DEALER SHOULD HANDLE. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO PURSUE A RECALL. THIS IS NOT A PART THAT SHOULD HAVE PROBLEMS. IN FACT, THE DEALER SAID THEY SHOULD GO 250K WITHOUT MAJOR PROBLEMS. IT'S NOT JUST THE '09 COROLLA. IT IS WIDESPREAD, AND IF YOU GOOGLE THIS, THE WEB IS FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS FOR SEVERAL TOYOTA MODELS. PLEASE LET THE CONSUMER KNOW YOU'RE BEING VIGILANT AND INVESTIGATE THIS OVERLOOKED ISSUE.

TAKATA RECALL THE RECALL ON MY AIRBAGS IS NOT COMPLETE, AND THE REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE IN A TIMELY MANNER FOR MY SAFETY IN THE EVENT OF ME POSSIBLY GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT AND GETTING SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN DIE BECAUSE OF THE DEFECT IN MY AIRBAGS INFLATING AND CAUSING METAL OBJECTS TO FLY OUT AND HURT ME AND/ OR MY PASSENGERS. ALSO, MY SEAT BELTS DON'T STAY IN PLACE TO HOLD ME OR MY PASSENGER BACK IN THE POSSIBLE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, TO CAUSE US LESS HARM IF ANY WAS TO OCCUR.

TAKATA RECALL - THE RECALL STATUS IS INCOMPLETE - REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE. WHY IS THE REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE?
TAKADA RECALL. MY CAR WARNING LIGHT FOR THE DRIVER AIR BAG IS SHOWING THAT THE AIRBAG IS NOT OPERATING. I CALLED MY TOYOTA DEALER ABOUT THE WARNING LIGHT. THEY ARE HAVING ME BRING IN THE CAR FOR A DIAGNOSTIC HOWEVER THEY ARE SAYING THAT THE AIRBAG IS NOT IN STOCK AND IS ONLY AFFECTING PLACES WITH HIGH HIMIDITY. HIGH TEMPERATURES ALSO AFFECT THE AIRBAG ABILITY TO INFLATE. THEY ARE GOING TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC BUT ARE NOW CLAIMING IT IS A CABLE AND WILL MOST LIKELY CHARGE ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE AIR BAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WEATHER TOYOTA HAS PROVIDED THE PART OF NOT. TOYOTA IS RESPONSIBLE AND SHOULD HAVE HAD THESE AIR BAGS AVAILABLE TO BE REPLACED IN THE CARS ON THE RECALL LIST. I NOTICED THE LIGHT ON WHEN STARTING THE CAR AND THE LIGHT TELLING ME THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF DID NOT GO OFF AS I DROVE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TODAY 8/24/2017

TAKATA RECALL CORRECTION IS TAKING AN UNSAFE AMOUNT OF TIME.
TAKATA RECALL NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET, BUT THERE IS A RECALL GOING ON WITH MY AIRBAGS (SHRAPNEL FROM AIRBAGS), THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED IN OVER 1 YEAR. I STILL OWN THIS CAR AND USE IT EVERYDAY, AND I AND MY PASSENGERS ARE PUT AT RISK EVERY TIME, SPECIFICALLY IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO DEPLOY. TOYOTA HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT TO SEND A LETTER THAT IT WILL BE REMEDIED SOON WHICH WAS SENT 1 YEAR AGO. ADDITIONALLY, I RECEIVED A AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT NOTICE, BUT AM NOT ELIGIBLE BECAUSE I STILL OWN THE CAR! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. TOYOTA NEEDS TO PRIORITIZE BY OWNERS OF VEHICLES THAT CAN CURRENTLY STILL RECEIVE INJURY OR DEATH FIRST OVER THOSE THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY OWNED/LEASED THE CAR AND WERE THEREFORE ONLY POTENTIALLY AT RISK. TOYOTA IS PUTTING MY LIFE, AND MY PASSENGERS' LIVES AT RISK, EVERY DAY, AND THEY DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET, BUT WHY AM I BEING PUT AT RISK FOR SOMETHING THAT IS NOT MY FAULT, AND SHOULD BE REMEDIED BY THE SELLER AS I AM THE CONSUMER? WHY SHOULD THIS EVEN BE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAS HAPPENED, WHY ISN'T IT ABOUT PREVENTION AND NOT HAVING TO BE FEARFUL THAT EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR, THAT IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT THAT I AND ANY OF MY PASSENGERS MAY DIE BECAUSE SHRAPNEL WILL DEPLOY FROM THE VERY SAME AIRBAGS THAT WERE MEANT TO KEEP US SAFE?
DIFFICULT TO STEER. I HAVE TO KEEP HANDS GRIPPED ON WHEEL, ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING. I'M ALMOST LANDING IN THE ONCOMING LANE. IF I IT A BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE LEERS.
TAKATA RECALL. "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE"! TAKATA/TOYOTA HAS FAILED TO REMEDY THE SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE VIDEO ON NHTSA SITE SUGGESTS SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH CAN OCCUR UPON CRASH/IMPACT DUE TO TAKATA DEFECT. "TIMELY MANNER" WOULD BE IMMEDIATE REPAIR'PARTS AVAILABLE IN ALL STATES FOR ALL VEHICLES. FORTUNATELY I HAVE NOT HAD A CRASH WITH THE VEHICLE, SO I HAVE NOT YET EXPERIENCED THE LIFE THREATENING CONDITION CAUSED BY THE DEFECT. FORTUNATELY I AM STILL ALIVE TO FILE A COMPLAINT'WILL I OR MY PASSENGERS BE HERE TOMORROW? TAKATA AND TOYOTA NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION. I AM FORMALLY REQUESTING THAT IN ADDITION TO REPAIR THAT TAKATA/TOYOTA PAY OF MY CAR PAYMENT FROM TIME OF FIRST NOTICE AND UNTIL THEY HAVE REPAIRED MY CAR. THEY ARE CAUSING DAILY WORRY AND STRESS- IS TODAY THE DAY I GET INJURED OR DIE TODAY FROM A SHRAPNEL-SHOOTING INFLATOR? I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL TOYOTA OWNER. I WOULD PLAN ON ANOTHER TOYOTA IN THE FUTURE'BUT WHAT IS TOYOTA/TAKATA DOING FOR ME'EXCEPT ENDANGERING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY. BY DEC. 2016 THERE WERE AT LEAST 11 DEATHS AND 184 INJURIES. THOSE NUMBERS WILL TURN OUT HIGHER. THEY ARE FAILING TO FIX THE PROBLEM!
TAKATA RECALL FOR MY TOYOTA COROLLA WAS ISSUED IN JANUARY 2017 AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY AVAILABLE TO FIX IT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS MATTER AND I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A REMEDY IMMEDIATELY. IT IS UNREASONABLE TO SIMPLY SAY DON'T DRIVE YOUR CAR OR USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW OR MORE PEOPLE WILL BE HURT OR KILLED.

IT IS NOW AUG. 21, AND MY INSURANCE PROVIDER IS SAYING MY COVERAGE MAY BE INCREASED IF THIS RECALL IS NOT TAKEN CARE OF. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?? I RECEIVED A CARD IN THE MAIL ON 8/19/17 FROM THE DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA WHICH SAYS I SHOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY LOCAL RETAILER TO REPAIR THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. TAKATA RECALL. TOYOTA SENT ME ARECALL LETTER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR 2017 SAYING THEY HAD NO FIX AND I SHOULDN'T USE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE MY CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP AND IT WOULD BE PARKED OUTSIDE WITH NO SHELTER. I LIVE IN PHOENIX AZ AND I KNOW WHAT THE SUN DOES TO PAINT, TIRES, AND EVEN INTERIOR OF CARS. SO THAT IS AN UNACCEPTABLE OFFER. WE FEAR DAILY THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL ENDANGER MYSELF, MY WIFE, OR OUR CHILDREN AND WE DO NOT HAVE THE WEALTH OR LUXURY TO BUY ANOTHER CAR OR USE A TAXI FOR ALL OUR DAILY LIVING NEEDS. WE ARE REQUESTING THAT A REMEDY BE FORCED IMMEDIATELY UPON THE MANUFACTURER EVEN IF IT IS SIMPLY A REMOVAL OF THE AIRBAGS AND PROPELLANT. LETHAL AIRBAGS ARE A GREATER HAZARD THAN USE OF SEATBELTS IN A CAR WITH NO AIRBAGS AT ALL.
